Edit: returned after a few years due to family making a reservation. Still terrible food. Better service, good even. Came for breakfast. Bad coffee. Took ten minutes to seat us in an empty restaurant (as well as everyone who came behind us). Way too expensive for the quality.

I was meeting a longtime friend for a quick bite after a full day of reuniting and fun over the previous 16 hours. I stayed at the next door hotel so it was an easy spot to meet. We were both famished. The first thing that was obvious. The place was understaffed for a Sunday morning. Every stage from getting a menu, initial drink, ordering, food coming and paying took far longer than it needed to. The food was very good and hit the spot. We both had the big breakfast. However there was a lack of attentiveness on tea and coffee refills. When it came time to pay there was an issue with the debit machine and it was left to us to figure it out. Staff didn t seem to know what to do. Overall food hit the spot but the staff was slow and seemed to be on their own time table rather than customers.

I m sitting here in the second hour of waiting for food. There s only 10 other people in the restaurant.

Silverware had food on it, serves was very slow. Bacon was deep-fried. They could not scramble egg to save their life. Very loud. $11 for pancakes

We waited almost 2 hours before the food came. They took 20~ minutes before we could even get some drinks (Family of 4). By the time our food came it was basically 11 am. The waitress treated us like it was a blunder coming here and to be fair it was. Also my son got charged 3 dollars for the smallest cup of milk you could imagine (Would take 2 sips to finish). Never returning here.

Service here has not gotten any better in the last five years since boycotting this place. 20 minutes to get my first beer which was flat and tasted terrible. Ordered a different beer which never came. Food was way overpriced and absolutely disgusting. Promised myself I would never come here again 5 years ago, definitely will never be back now. I stay at this hotel for work every time I come to Sarnia and this used to be a good place, done with this place. Looks like it s Paddy s every night from now on!

It has nice big tables well spaced & well lit why we chose this spot. Unfortunately food was not good at all. Group of 8 reservations for brunch.Potatoes not cooked still hard inedible all eggs ordered soft or or over easy came fully cooked toast was forgotten only some were asked about drinks. The waitress seemed overwhelmed angry slamming ketchup on table when someone asked for it. At the time restaurant was empty but for maybe 12 other diners & there was 3 waitstaff. The other waiter who came to aid her was much better. I would not return here which is a shame had not been there in a long time but it is no longer what it was. Not great. Chicken was dry and serving size was small. Server also embellished the amount of time to order food and grab a drink. Server was only friendly when it came time to pay the bill (tips)

When we first walked in it smelled like paint or a strong chemical cleaner. It was a nice quiet place and not to busy but we weren t given waters, we tried the taco spacial but they were very small amounts of lettuce and cheese with a ton of beef strips. The wings were the worst we ever had they were so burnt and we didn t get hand wipes. The faucets in the bathroom were incredibly hard to work and I ended up cleaning my hands with sanitizer. The staff was great but the food was bad.

Surprisingly terrible. Long wait and not busy. Greasy fruit. We finished nothing. The meat all tasted like it had been dipped in the deep fryer to reheat. Grease poured out of the sausages. We are not picky eaters, but the food made us both gag. Never again.

Super long wait. Horrible service and food was terrible. Ordered Bayleys and coffee and it had mold on it. Took well over an hour from time we ordered until our food arrived and it was not even busy.

Stayed at motel ordered for pickup. No longer have French dip so ordered steak sandwich. Very soggy when picked up. Oversized steak for bun. Said no peppers got peppers and mushrooms. Fries were ok. No canned or bottled beverages only fountain.

Terrible and slow service. Went for breakfast and it wasnt busy at all but waitresses just sat around and chatted. Saw several tables just get up and leave before their food came out it took so long. It took about 10 mins from sitting down for a waitress to come and ask us for our drinks. When our food finally came out all our orders were wrong. By the time the food came out almost an hour later the place was basically deserted and people were just sitting themselves since there was no one there to seat them. Food wasnt even worth the wait

Used to be good. The breakfast and service that is received there now is not worth the price. I rather have breakfast at home with quality of food and service given there.

Not great. Ordered Belgian waffles with fruit, meat skillet and Mediterranean skillet for takeout. Got Belgian waffles and two Mediterranean skillets. The description said roasted red peppers, it was raw, said green onion, was raw white onion. The eggs and potatoes had a quality of being sitting under a heat lamp for a few hours but had to wait for a long time for it to be made. The Belgian waffles were soft and spongy like they had been reheated in the microwave. $3 for fruit on the waffles and you get 2 strawberries and a few blueberries. It was pretty bland and no condiments except a little salt and pepper packet in the plastic utensils.

Believe the not so good reviews about the service and the food. They arent lying. I guess the near empty restaurant on a Friday night should have been our first clue. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Every thing on the menu is okay at best, the price isnt anything to write home about either and the service is a little slow. All it really has going for it is that its clean and attached to the hotel.

Had the surf and turf. the sauce on the shrimp was very tasty. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff were excellent. Everything here was above my expectations and I would recommend eating here in a heartbeat.

They have the best pizza dough I ve ever had in my life! Melt in your mouth pizza and delicious wings! Wish I lived in Sarnia so I could visit more but I was just passing through and was not disappointed! We are still talking about it!

B and B is the classic bad service and poor management scenario. Just walked out and made a great breakfast at home. 6 waitresses and a host on and we waited for 15 mins to get a glass of water and a coffee, then no one tooknour our food order. Food is good, but dont go here if youre in a hurry, especially at lunch time. If it hadnt been snowing outside Id have thought I was in the deep South where service generally is in a time Warp.

Nice atmosphere but thats thats where it ends. Restaurant wasnt busy.. from the moment we got there waited longer then needed to be seated.. waitress was friendly.. then waited 35 mintues for our appetizers.. there was only 2 others tables.. food was nothing special. Fish was supposed to cod really have doubts about that. Baked potatoe was wasnt even warm enough to melt the butter. In the end the waitress apologized saying they had a banquet going on.. So seems like bad staffing.. Will never return.

Nice affordable BREAKFAST in Best Western Hotel. Breakfast special is recommended (2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, toast and home fries for 8.95) Ask to be served by Carol or Deb and you will not be disappointed. Keep up the good work ladies.

Food was great but for the small portion you get, its not worth it. Our waitress Makaila only came to our table a couple of times and we had to flag her down to ask for water or more food. Food took a while to finally arrive and we (the 3 of us) left hungry. The place look very nice and very clean but service needs work.

Overall my experience was really good at the b and b grill. My family and I were staying at the best western for the week, as we were here to visit some family and frequented the restaurant quite a bit while we were here. Food was good and most of the staff were great. That unfortunately changed when there was a change in the morning crew. We had an older server that seemed disengaged and was unwilling to do the basics of serving. We had to ask for a menu each time we came in. It went, would you like something to order??, Well, we havent seen a menu yet.. She was hard-pressed to drop off water or coffee, and when she eventually did, wouldnt come by to offer a refill. I had to ask her three times for a coffee. After the meal was done she wouldnt come by to take a plate or a glass away. It felt as though she was avoiding you, just so she wouldnt have to do anymore work, like fill up a glass of water. When we were leaving, we saw that she was on her phone and texting someone. It was the same service for both interactions with her. Id recommend you go at night and avoid this morning crew.

Last Sunday, May 19 we had breakfast. Everything was very good. Today we went for breakfast again. I ordered french toast with fresh fruit. I specifically said no whipping cream on my french toast . My french toast came with whipping cream and I never did get my fruit. The restaurant was not busy so there was really no excuse. My son paid for our meal but did not leave a tip, which is VERY unusual for him. He has always been a big tipper. He said he is can no longer reward incompetence . Yup.

Its very...decent. Nothing amazing, but no major complaints. The breakfast is decent, buffalo chicken sandwich is pretty good, chicken was a little overdone but the sauces were good. They tend to put garlic butter on the inside of the bread on sandwiches before toasting, its nice touch.

We keep giving them second and third chances to get things right. Breakfast for 4 ppl, 1 person in group waited an extra 30 mins for her selection...and since we are a polite family, the other 3 meals went cold waiting to actually eat together. Those meals all came with the same beige colour-every single item looked like it had been dropped in oil. Last visit my parents waited 1 hr for their lunches, I told them to just leave. Food showed up after ppl around my parents got up and left. The 2 stars are for the decor and the servers trying to do their best. Save your money and pick another place to eat. Sorry to say they have struck out with our family.

Fortunately we got in just before 8 as they were refusing other guests because the kitchen was running out of certain meals. My steak was good and hubby liked his Cali burger. Service was great.

Service has lots of room for improvement. Waitress never came back to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. We were made to feel like we were inconveniencing the hostess because we were a larger group (10 people). Food was good however it took an hour and a half to get it.

Just had a great breakfast here with my family. The staff was very nice and attentive. My smoked salmon benny was great and my wife enjoyed her Two egger! At the end of our meal, one my little girls fell off her chair and began to cry. The staff came over to check on her and was very nice. As we were leaving a young man came to the rescue with a treasure chest with toys and let my kids chose some. It was a great experience and we will be back again!

Been there before. Food and atmosphere are good but both times service has been terrible. This time we sat and waiting awhile before going and finding a server for coffee. Coffee came with no cream or milk, had to ask again. Server just past coffee and waters down the table instead of serving properly. Food came with same type of service just passing most of it down. Had to ask for toast, salsa and more coffee when should have come with order. Hopefully better service next time!!!!

These guys do a fantastic breakfast. The prices are good and so is the coffee. It is a bit noisy but perfect for our 15 month old! Service was quick and friendly. Best part is that they are reliable; I ve been happy every time I ve could me here.

What a joke. Had dinner Dec 11 with my wife. Had burger & poutine; burger was over cooked, fries were undercooked. My wife had nachos, large portion of chips & hardly no fixings. Also had coffee. Told waitress about fries & she still charged me for it. Paid $17 for a bag of chips ( wow). Also was charged .59 cents for liquor tax when we both had coffee ( since when is coffee a liquor tax). The service was better at the table behind us, 4 men drinking. Did not leave any tip for bad food & service. The rating of this restaurant is false for food maybe not for drinking. Its sad to pay lots of money for bad food and service when you try to have a nice dinner

The food was nice, but the service was slow and inattentive. When one of the kids asked for ketchup, 5 or 10 minutes after the food was delivered, Jesse tossed her a still sealed bottle, and walked away.
