Los Puntos Cantina serving Mexican and non Mexican dishes. Domestic, Import and Craft Beer. Margaritas, specialty cocktails and well drinks. Extensive Tequilla offerings.
I tried three different tacos and they were all delicious. Loved them all. My app was jalapeño cheddar soup which I also loved. Thanks for the great service too!
This place always has the BEST food. My husband and I came here for our anniversary about a week ago. He ordered a burger and said it was literally the best burger he's had in his entire life! (He used to love A&W burgers, but I suspect they won't suffice anymore!) I got chicken wings and O.M.G. I couldn't even believe how good they were. The fries were THE BEST fries I've ever had. The staff is always super friendly, but this time, we had a server named Mariah and is so genuinely good-hearted, thoughtful and kind. I told her that our daughter had allergies and asked if she could check the ingredients for the chicken tenders. She came back after a while and told us that they didn't have the package and couldn't check the ingredients, but then gave us several options for meals that she had checked the ingredients of for us! She was also super sweet to our 2 kids and brought crayons and paper for then without us even asking! We appreciate the extra effort so much and we will definitely be coming back! Literally the *only* downside is that the place is always packed, but I definitely understand why!
Not authentic mexican food — the salsa was watery with very little flavour and my entree (chicken mole enchiladas) were also unimpressive with the rice tasting like white rice, the refried beans tasting like they were straight from the can and the chicken inside the enchiladas being white and as unseasoned as a gringo. the mole was nothing to write home about but wasn’t offensive. the best part of the meal was the queso fundido with chorizo which was nicely creamy and had some kick, and also my virgin strawberry margarita (although i was disappointed that it had large ice chunks in it when it was meant to be blended). the service was friendly and inviting, and the atmosphere has a cute vibe to it.
If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food- do not come here. We ordered 4 different types of tacos and all were a disappointment. Tacos are served on plain white tortillas which have zero taste and stick to your teeth. Tacos are filled with tasteless ingredients, non seasoned bland and dry. Fish tacos have more chunks of mango than actual fish and overpower everything. No authentic sauce or seasoning (no sauce whatsoever actually). Fries were good. Staff had no regard to even ask how the food was but were polite. Do not recommend.
I was looking for something different than fish and fry as I was walking on the river side trail. Found this place just a short distance from the trail. I judged the restaurants by the crowd and this one was almost full. To me it is a great sign. I found a chair at the bar. The service was excellent even though they were very busy. They offer you a free tray of chips with salsa. I ordered three different tacos, they were the best I ever had. They also have a large selection of imported liquors. I would definitely recommend this place.
Really disappointed. Not only did we try and come yesterday and were rudely turned away because they randomly chose to close early even though we called 20 minutes prior and were told to come. Today we thought we’d try again despite the bad taste in our mouth from that encounter ; we Saw our server all of two times, once to take our order once to hand us a bill. Left a whole plate of food because it was really terrible (not seasoned extremely dry chicken) took an hour and a half, no concern shown whatsoever, witnessed great service to everyone who was ordering alcoholic beverages though. Really a huge let down. Not authentic and really a price gough. Wish I could leave a 0 star review ! Would not recommend.
My boyfriend and I were in from out of town and love to adventure out to new places. This place is charming and cozy. The staff is VERY pleasant and attentive. The drinks were amazing, definitely recommend the Coconut Pineapple margarita. The queso is it’s cauliflower was so friggin good, the best thing was the salsa they make in house which you can buy for only $6, it’s sooooo so good. Best restaurant salsa I’ve ever had. The fish tacos were good, but there was a lot going on and it over powered the fish. I would definitely recommend this place!
One of the best Mexican spots between Chatham kent & Lambton. I’ve loved everything I’ve ordered from these guys. The complimentary chips and salsa is so darn good. We ended up ordering jars of it to take home. It’s so incredible! Tonight I decided to try the tacos because that’s the one thing I haven’t gotten from here before. I went with carne asada, fish & shrimp. Which were my favourite in that order. I’ve never had a bad meal from here. The vibes are always great as are all of their drinks They don’t take reservations & it’s a very small place. So go early or plan to wait, especially if the patio is closed. It’s definitely worth the wait tho
Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks! True taste of Mexico. The spot is cozy in the winter and it s a perfect people watching spot when the weather is warm and the garage doors are open. We ll be back!
Wayne there twice in the last couple weeks. Not sure how we missed this place?!? Best Mexican food we have had in a long time.
I had the Chicken/Chorizo Enchilada Bake today and it was FANTASTIC!! A bit on the spicy side just like I like it but be cautious if thats not your thing. Definetly recommend!
The staff accommodated for a wheelchair. Great food, and friendly staff! Dietary restrictions: I got gluten-free soft corn tortillas Food : 5/5 |
I was surprised at the amount of food served up for what was roughly the same amount for a burger, fries and coke at drive throughs. I actually couldn t finish the enchiladas plate. Or what a bigger eat in breakfast at some places cost.
Amazing shrimp tacos. Amazing tequila. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing staff. Dem numerous times and will continue to enjoy this fantastic experience.
Our family loves this restaurant! Whether popping in for a drink and free nachos and salsa, or sitting down to dinner, this is our go to place when in the Sarnia area.
We really wanted to like the restaurant but it was a huge fail. Our food took forever, service was slow, and the quality of the food was very meh, very blah. No flavor, mushy, and canned. Sadness.
Get the fiesta bowl, but ask if the avacado is ripe before you do. Otherwise great flavours.
Food was very good. We had the quesadillas and the fajita bowl entrees and the churros for dessert. The churros were just ok but the entrees were excellent and good portions. We also had margaritas, just lime on the rocks flavor and it was very good also. Staff was friendly. It is a small place. We sat on the patio with views of the Bluewater Bridge. A very nice experience!
Such a friendly little place and great atmosphere. The complimentary nachos and salsa is much appreciated! Will definitely be back when I get the chance. Shoutout to Shawn, Alex and team!
Food great. Service sub par.
The place is nice and comfortable, I ordered a chicken quesadilla that was delicious but my date ordered tacos and they were cold, we asked the waitress to heat it up and we were soon served. Unfortunately there were several flies in the environment.
First time experience. Im a Texas girl so I was really craving some good Mexican food. First off, the service was wonderful. Both my waitress and the lady behind the bar were fantastic. And I was thrilled to find Modelo Negra What a treat! I was so excited to tear into the Beef Chimichanga....beef, black beans, cheese, and peppers and onions....yummy. However; when I cut it open, I thought there was a mistake. It was filled with rice? I couldnt find any meat? There was only a few beans and I couldnt see peppers or onions. After my waitress confirmed that it was indeed the beef chimichanga, I continued to dig and discovered that there were just very little bits of meat, and very small pieces of onion and pepper tucked into the rice Good flavour in the sauce, but since Im not supposed to eat simple carbs I wasnt able to eat much. At $21 for this burrito with no sides, very disappointing.
I love this place. So quaint, and the food and service were terrific. I had the chicken and chorizo enchilada bake. This place is not cheap by any means but you certainly get what you pay for!
Nice burger and steak quesadilla I like watermelon margarita but it was not good amount of tequila :/ Food
Authentic and delicious!
Wow! Great restaurant! It was delicious, worth trying!
Our favorite restaurant, always fresh food and great beverages. Highly recommend.
I tried a steak quesadilla in May, and it was great.
Tried Los punts cantina about a month ago and it was fantastic. We have been back 3 or 4 times since.we try different things on the menu and everything has been excellent .definitely try the Margareta flights they ate delicious. The lady that always serves us is very nice and great at her job.
Worst cauliflower tacos ever. Mushy tasteless horrible, did not eat them. Wow
Delicious food and drinks. Definitely recommend starting with the queso! We had a chimichanga and a Cobb salad. Both were large portions. Friends had the taquitos and assorted tacos. Everything was great. Many of the drinks are available on ice or frozen which was great for a hot day. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian tacos and queso options available.
Great place, would recommend. If its a busy on a Wednesday afternoon as it was when I was there, then it means something. Quality of food was great and so was the drinks.
I took awhile to visit this place because I was very skeptical about them delivering quality Latin food. Suffice it to say I very disappointed. The food lacks flavour, quality ingredients and presentation. Waaaay over priced. I ordered the tortilla soup one of my favourite dishes. It was basically a chicken broth and tomato paste with a few pieces of chicken and nacho chips in it. Zero masa or masa flavour huge fail. I also had their Carnitas Tacos got this because it had authentic taco ingredient of pork, onion and cilantro simple is better if your featuring a meat like this. Another whopping fail. Meat had little flavour come through because it was served on a flour tortillas not corn. Just an insult to Latin food in general. I will say the carnitas meat was ok. But definitely poorly delivered.
Tacos were excellent
Food was amazing warm friendly service. Place was super loud however. Drinks a little on the small side. Definitely will be back
Lovely server suuuuper slow service
The food was good, the ambience is nice, and the servers are friendly. However, the food does take a very long time to come out (~1.5 hours).
Had a quick lunch with a group and absolutely amazing food and service
Can get a bit crowded at times, but it adds to the ambiance. Amazing prices for tacos in town and the margaritas are always spot on
The best thing about the place was the service, they are good at it, even though the food took forever to get to the table, but then I figured out why it took so long, we ordered a shared plate (fajitas), food was disappointing, the shrimp where burnt so as the steak, and the chicken was really dry, food was bland, I want to post this not to harm but so the owners can take corrective actions about the food they are serving, lack of flavor on the rice, and the guac tasted just like blended onions, hope they can fix their food, for now I wont recommend it.
An amazing place to grab a bite n if ur feeling spicey try a shot of their amazing selection of tequila!!! I highly recommend their chimmy or fish tacos!!!
Our server was lovely, well organized and sweet. Ford was plentiful and delicious. Service was quick as well. Will go back for sure.
Wow, From beginning to end! The food, the drinks and service is always great hence why I always go back for more. Some of my favorite dishes are their shrimp tacos and their chicken chorizo Bake. Just thinking about it makes me hungry. And you can t forget the margaritas. Definitely one of my favorites.
Great spot with fast and friendly service. Super super salsa, and yummy frozen margaritas. Highly recommend the duck and fish tacos and french fries.
We had a group of 12. Food was great. The single person covering the whole front end of the restaurant was great. Sorry I didnt get her name, but she handled everything very well and was always smiling.
Cozy place that accommodated our larger group. Tacos were great, although I did not have it. The table really commented on the chimichanga. Fish tacos and Carnitas Asada were tasty. Great craft beer on tap, margaritas were tasty as well. Would visit again when I m in town.
There halibut tacos are absolutely delicious! Definitely my to-go menu item. Fresh mango salsa, crispy fried halibut, cant go wrong.
Place has really gone down hill. Never have half the tacos, yet the price is more.
great flavours great sevice good size portions. Food : 4/5
Really like this place, and the food. Had soup and tacos, both were very well executed. Service was attentive and fast.
The churros are very dry and hard as a rock. But besides that, the food is incredible and the server was awesome despite working alone on a very busy night
Nachos were okay but fiesta cheese poppers were delicious.
Supper was great, dessert was burnt.
Great atmosphere and food! We hope to come back soon The guacamole could be better... Kid-friendliness: The kids enjoy the and chicken.
Very happy with the service, drinks and food. Wish the inside was larger and they had spots to wait for a table as their inside tables are typically full.
The food is good and the service at Los Puntos Cantina is excellent! We had to wait for a table though. The popularity of the Mexican food choices available is what creates the line-ups here. The atmosphere could have been enhanced with more space, but overall, we had a good experience.
I got the 3 taco dinner, it was just ok. Nothing special
Great little Mexican restaurant! We had tacos! They were fresh and tasty! Definitely will be going back. Food : 5/5
Last hour and a half of service and the food was awesome. Tried one of every entree and all but one had leftovers. Obviously could tell staff was beginning close up duties but they still attempted to be fully attentive!
This place cant be beat! The tacos are priced excellently! And are delicious! Anytime Im in the area Im definitely coming back! Vegetarian options: Meat free and vegan options available Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available
Everything was fresh and delicious and homemade . Highly recommended!
Very tasty and reasonably priced.
Great tacos and service
Delicious meal, friendly fast service
Gigi is a super star and creates such a welcoming environment! Great server!
For the First time in one year Food had turned (pork). Drink was warm, understaffed. I question calling health department to check the kitchen food safe handling. The best mex restaurant in Sar nia, one bad chef. M Crothers
Love the food. Servers are awesome.
Great spot, Excellent food and service
Nice little place with a good selection of tasty Mexican eats which compares well to some of the better places we visit in Southern California. Nice staff too.
Nice little restaurant/bar. The food was excellent.
Great food and drinks, definately would recommend and come back here.
Sink hole de mayo. Great food and beers. Had a great time. See you next year if not before.
Visited on Sink Hole de Mayo. Great spot. Great Mexican food and beers were vold. Ill be back.
My family and I saw the website where it claims to be Mexican Cuisine, but at some point, it is. But as Mexican, we were expecting something different. We ordered Beef Enchiladas, Jalapeño Cheese Soup, Mexi Burger with a Tortilla soup, and a Duck Taco, and churros. The enchiladas were fine also the rice but nothing special about it 8/10. The Jalapeño soup was the best dish we got, in my opinion. The tortilla one was also great, it tastes kinda like chili. Both could be better with more tortilla 9/10 The Mexi Burger was also fine, but the menu says it comes with chorizo and it doesnt, or at least not the Mexican one. 8/10 Personally, we didnt like the duck taco, we couldnt even eat it. The churros were absolutely delicious, definitely an 11/10 The staff was nice and helpful. Clean and cozy place. The prices are reasonable, not too expensive but not too cheap. The services a little slow. The foods not bad but I think it could be better, its not Mexican Cuisine, there are Mexican dishes but its mixed with something else, not authentic cuisine at all. Recommendations: More options on the menu. If youre selling something the least you can do is know what youre selling, and if its not exactly what youre selling then dont claim it.
Great little spot in pt Edward food and service was great!
Very busy. Our server was maybe a bit distracted.
Went about 2 years ago and this spot was to die for!!! Went 3 days ago and worst service Ive ever received at a restaurant. What happened to the consistency?
This place is always great... brought a friend who had never been here before, and he will definitely be back to. The drinks are always good, the food is always excellent, and the service has never disappointed.
Lots of really good food for the price.
Great place to eat.
Nice mexican food
Super busy but the food is mind-bogglingly complex and delicious. Also a tequila/mezcal menu, super bonus. I cannot stress how good the chimichangas are.
I literally planned a weekend trip to Sarnia just to come back and get more of their tacos. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian alternatives available for many dishes.
The food and atmosphere are great but we waited so long for our drinks and food, which makes it unenjoyable. Parking: Their parking lot is made into a patio in the summer and Im unsure why the front patio closes so early.
Food was amazing as always, drinks were fabulous and our server was an absolute delight! Always a good time when im here!
Only 1 waitress for the whole place. Unfortunately, out of a lot of food from their menu. But what I got was great
Food was incredible, best spot in sarnia for Mexican food, prices are a bit high but worth the cost. (Edit) just ate the chicken Dorados, they are out of this world. The avocado poblano dressing is incredible!
A tasty marg was had
Service was attentive and good water refills. Nice back lot patio. Good chips n salsa. Taquitos plate was good but no sides included ie rice or beans or salad, just lots of cream no salsa. The ensalata was not fresh, some of the salad leaves were slimy and not fit to be served to eat. When I told my server they did do anything to make it better. Also the menu said fava beans in salad but there were edamame instead.
Love this place
I dont normally write negative reviews but both my spouse and myself were not exactly impressed with the service we received by our main server and I hope by writing this maybe a few things could be looked into or changed for other people visiting this restaurant. (Also, this was mine and spouses third or fourth time coming here, sadly it will be our last until we know there has been some changes) My two children, spouse and myself showed up around 6:30 and they had no available tables outside so we were offered an inside table- which was fine. We placed our drink and order with the waitress, she served us our drinks. We waited roughly a half hour/20 minutes for the appetizers. After we waited roughly 2 hours (from the time we sat at our table at 6:30) so for almost 2 hours our waitress did not take any time to clear off the dishes from apps and drinks also once our drinks were empty the server we had from the beginning of this 2 hour wait she did not come to see if we needed refills. Our daughters were taking whatever sips were left out of theres dads drink and sucking on there ice cubs. (They were thirsty) She did ask if the ladies next to us if everything were OK though, during this time- but skipped us . When our dinner finally (again 2 hours later) arrived both my spouse and children were served cold fries. (All the rest of the food such as my dinner was great) I dont blame the chef but rather the waitress who didnt seem to wait on us for anything- who knows how long our food sat because a totally different server actually ended up bringing the food and was able to take the order of drinks also. This worker who Im complaining about was a plus size women/probably in her mid 20s and this was between 6:30-8:30. We also had a $115 meal in total which we always tip generously, unfortunately in this case we did not.
Nice little local restaurant with good food, unfortunately there isnt enough parking space, but that doesnt influence the rating the service is friendly and very accommodating, the food always seems to be very good... the noise level in this small restaurant is extremely high .All in all recommended and in my opinion good for 4 honest stars.
Great food at a good price! Taco Tuesday are a good price and lots to eat!Good Times
The worst service ever and longest wait ... Three of us went and werent offered no water even though we asked...My friend had to find someone to take our order we ordered 2 flights of Margaritas wasnt frozen margaritas so we asked waitress if she could blend all three together she clearly stated it was to time consuming we ordered appetizers and sat and waited for our waitress to take our order for the main course...she never came back for about 25 minutes at that point we just passed...asked for a comment card and was told they dont have any .. Hmm I wonder why ...so all in all the food was okay not authenticate by any means... First time here and will be last time...the only thing that was any good was the Tiki Umbrellas and the frozen margaritas...good place if you have 2 hours to sit and have a drink and an appetizer..
The family and I decided to do an impromptu road trip yesterday with a randomly picked restaurant in another city. An amazing meal, that blows any Mexican I have had this far north out of the water. Chimichanga was huge and so flavourful. Girls had Chicken Durados and were just as amazing. Son ordered 3 Fish tacos that ended up being bigger than most fish and chip orders. Well worth the trip. Had to grab a jar of salsa to take home. Servers were all extremely nice. Look forward to another trip or more down as London is sadly lacking in this quality of Mexican food.
Had the beef burrito mild spice. It was wonderful and quite filling. Will be back and definitely recommend. You must try with the hot sauce. Like Franks Red Hot but way better
So tasty! So fresh and really authentic Mexican food, Service was excellent and tons of food - enough for leftovers!! Will go again for sure check out the fajitas for two pics!
Great food atmosphere and drinks! Ask for the little drinks in a bag to go. I forget the name of them but they taste great and are colorful. Will come back again :) Please follow @bouncingpllaces on youtube to see more places from around the world.
Its still awesome!!! HUGE burritos Great steak, Quesadilla Ask for desert too!!! Food : 5/5 |
best dinner ever! Best date night spot in Sarnia Lambton!!
Closest, we have found authentic Mexican cuisine. Great food and clean!!
It s authentic Mexican. Truly a delight to find good Mexican in Sarnia. Worth the stop and the Los Puntos draft beer is super tasty.
Ordered steak quesadillas and they were absolutely delicious. Could use a bit more hot salsa. Huge portion. Couldn t eat it all.
Amazing and knowledgeable staff, great service, amazing food and drinks! A must go to spot!
Wow! Thats all I can say. Food was fantastic! Best authentic Mexican food Ive ever had. The delicious Maragritas were great as well.
Food and drinks were great
Great. Even as take out.
Food is average at best, drinks are good.
Loved it! Definitely will go back in the future
Wait wasnt that long....food was good and server gave us some options for next time to take the spice level down a bit
We went for a belated birthday lunch, we had the most amazing service and the food as well as the margarita flights were spectacular! Try the duck tacos they are fabulous
Yes, this dinner will take some time as previous reviewers have noted. We were a group of 5 who did wait at the bar and got a table within 10 minutes. The drinks did take a little while but were absolutely delicious. The food was great. The bartender that helped us out was great. I accidentally ordered a taco that had ingredients that I was allergic to and the bartender spoke to the kitchen and had another one out immediately even though it was totally my fault for not reading the menu properly. Definitely wasnt a quick dinner but our group wasnt in a rush, which I think if youre sitting down for a meal, speed shouldnt be the #1 factor of whether or not it was a good dinner or not. I think many of these reviewers would be in for a surprise if they traveled anywhere in Europe and expected instant service. Ill for sure be back.
Not what it used to be. It used to be fresh, sizzling hot, and so delicious. The place is visibly dated and dirty. Our service was good, but the food was bland, dry, barely warm, and not at all what it used to be. I used to love this place but it feels like corners were cut so we wont be back.
Really great place to eat!
They know what theyre doing. It was a good suggestion
Cinco de Mayo. Great food and service. Highly recommend the appetizer platter.
Great place. Close to the river. Great atmosphere. All food is made in house. A great surprise to get such Great Mexican food in a restaurant under a bridge! Beer was good, too!
Not very authentic, outside hostesses where not very welcoming and looked like we were interupting their conversation. Drinks were great, refried beans tasted like they came from a can and the guac also looked processed not fresh. Unfortunately this was our first tima and last time here.
Great spot to hit if your down by the bridge in Sarnia / Point Edward
Amazing place, friendly service and great menu with quality food. Also excellent selection of drinks.
Waitress was fantastic, but the food is basically just cilantro on a wrap. I dont like cilantro, I got the fish taco, duck taco and shrimp taco. Took one bite of the shrimp taco and thought I bit into a bar of soap. My waitress replaced it immediately with just lettuce and shrimp on the wrap - I was appreciative. On the other ones I just scraped. The meats are basically unseasoned. All cilantro. Nice patio for drinks though. I would go back but not for food.
Only Sat outside since it was a beautiful day. Our table seemed forgotten about at first but after that was cleared up the service was great. Tacos were great, each different meat was uniquely flavored and very tasty. Next time I go back in getting the nachos
Awesome Awesome Awesome....lets just say tequila was involved
it s been our favourite restaurant we are from Hamilton every time we come to Sarnia always come here for dinner but tonight very disappointed. the lady serve our table very slow. food also slow, take so long get the bill, credit card machine not present until we walk up to pay at the counter then the server approached. I used to be a server and own my own restaurant I understand it s a busy night but at least ask customer how everything. I will never bring my family come back here again.
Always delicious . Great friendly service.
Came here for a quick dinner while visiting the Pinery Provincial park. Was bustling with activity. Ordered tacos, soup, and a cocktail. The firing squad cocktail was amazing.. loved the combination of the smoky flavors of mescal with the citrus from the lime. After this it was all downhill. The tortilla soup tasted like canned tomato soup and the Jalapeño soup just tasted like Queso. The haddock taco had so much mango, it was more a dessert than a taco. The fried haddock smelled fishy and the coating was mealy - indicators that this was a pre frozen battered fish. It s a nice place to come for drinks and a laugh but I love Mexican food too much to order a meal here again.
The food is tremendous. Service was great when we were there! Highly recommend, because its so close to the water and other tourist attractions.
Great atmosphere! Saturday night DJ had everyone dancin at there tables!
It was good UNTIL We found a long hair inside the tacos! Not recommended!
Took 67 minutes to get the food. It was cold. Server DID comp the meal. She did her best I assume it was too busy for the kitchen to keep up with too many tables.
The food there was absolutely delicious I really enjoyed it, I absolutely love Mexican food
Extremely slow and cold food
Absolutely horrible. Went for lunch. Sat there with two kids under 10 and a baby and waited 1.5 hours for our food. At that point we said we re leaving and the food came out in containers. Ate the food immediately and it was ice cold. Honestly do not recommend this place. I would never ever return. Not even for takeout.
Great food at a great price !
Enjoyed margaritas and lunch for my Granddaughters birthday. Very enjoyable!
Absolutely amazing tacos, multiple selections of the type of taco you can order and they start off with nachos and the homemade salsa. A spacious patio and great service. Highly recommended for date night!
Great experience, great food!
Fish tacos were so good
It took a while to get r food but it was amazing!!! I usually get a taco salad but tried the Tacitos. YUM!!!
The food was great and the wait staff were very nice. Service was a little slow but we came right at opening.
This restaurant was recommended to us but we were a bit disappointed. The food wasnt bad, but it wasnt amazing and the bill seemed high after wards, like not that I was miss charged or anything, but more like I just paid that for that? Like if it was 75% of the price it would have been amazing, but for that price I expected a bit more. We didnt try any of the crazy margaritas so maybe those are amazing. Service was good, and we sat outside and there was live music which was nice.
Delicious food and excellent service.
It s honestly worth the hassle of going through Customs to grab a bite here (I m a US citizen unfortunately). The staff is attentive. The food is tasty. And it is all fresh and tasty! I got two shrimp tacos and two chicken tacos. Fantastic. Cute little place. The cold AC was great as well given it was hotter than Satan s den outside when I was there. And that Fire Street hot sauce is next level (I asked where I could get it spoiler: Metro sells it). I bought two bottles before heading stateside again. Definitely give this place a shot. Street parking only. But I came at an odd time and got a spot out front.
They managed a large order for us without trouble. A warning, spicy means very spicy. I love spice but some found it too much.
The best taco ever in the town muah~
Decent drinks, good company & courteous servers. Zero complaints.
Awesome! Best Mexican food I ever had. Big size meal, and nachos to feed 4 people. Nice servicos
Great food and atmosphere. Located close to the Bluewater bridge, bike racks on-site for the cyclists!
Great food. we had the chicken quesadilla which was very large and delicious. And the beef enchiladas. I loved the beef flavor and spices. Will be back.
Friendly and attentive staff, and fresh ingredients are always used in all dishes. Margaritas also are excellent
Morgan is a great friendly server and her smile was contagious. Food was amazing, we had Mexi-Flat bread and Chorizo Enchilada Bake, both delicious beyond explanation. We will definitely be returning.
Didnt love it. It was recommended to us by multiple people, so I was excited to give it a try. It was disappointing on a number of factors. Service was extremely slow and there was no apology or even an acknowledgement of the lateness of the food (gaslighting our own interpretation that a 45-minute wait was not long for tacos...really? It was mid-afternoon and the place was not busy - so I wonder how long it takes when they are busy? When the food finally came, the tacos were just mediocre (we ordered the chicken, beef, haddock and cauliflower). They lacked flavour and were served with flour tortillas and not a more authentic corn tortilla. We also had an order of quesadillas which arrived a soggy, gummy mess, as though they were microwaved. We had our pet dog with us too and no one thought to bring out a bowl of water for him on this hot summer afternoon - we spotted the bowls available at the hostesss patio desk on our way out. So it certainly was an option - and they were not busy... Overall, not a great experience and it came across that the service didnt care.
Food and drinks are good but damn you re waiting 45mins for food
Our server was friendly, but overall it was an unpleasant dining experience. We waited quite awhile for our food & later our bill which we had to ask the bar staff for
Their menu is outdated. You have to use QR code to see the current menu. The indoor is too small and crowded Food is alright (below average)
Good food. Good price. Sat in patio section and had a good time.
A good location for this little Mexican themed restaurant in Point Edward. I dined here with Friends, and tried out the outdoor dining area set up in the parking lot. The good: Appetizers and meals were well prepared, served hot,and in a timely manner. The food was tasty. Our server was professional and motivated. The bad: The atmosphere lacked finish , considering the price point. We were seated on a wobbly picnic table that was listing to one side due to the grade on the parking lot.
The food was excellent. I got the chorizo chicken enchilada bake and it had a nice bit of heat. My wife got the beef chimichanga and after she took a bite she said we have to come back.
Great Margueritas and tacos... recommend the duck.
What can I possibly say further about Los Puntos?! I went to Point Edwards August 16, 2022, from London, as I was craving Great Mexican food! I was wondering if the food quality, portions and service would be affected by the aftermath of COVID, like it has been in countless other towns. I am so happy and relieved to say it was NOT Gigi was our Host & Server and the best Mexican Food Adventure was upon us. We both started with the frozen Mango Marguaritas. OMG, Ice Cold Nectar from Heaven Gigi brought us a large complementary dish of their Special Salsa & Chips. Again, Delish. I chose the Beef Chimichanga and my friend chose Beef Quesadillas. Another OMG Moment when they are arrived. They were HUGE and incredibly succulent with hers having a big serving of Guac, Sour Cream and...SALSA! We both could only eat half and took home the rest for the next day. We dug into these gorgeous entries so fast and I forgot to take pics! LOL. Next time I will share pics. YOU JUST GOTTA GO HERE FOR THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD E V E R Consistently awesome! We greeted by a friendly Host with a beautiful smile and told we could sit anywhere on the creatively designed Patio. Even though it was mid afternoon, there was a steady stream of patrons coming for drinks and substenance. Definitely a big draw in Point Edwards! As soon as we sat down we received a big pitcher of very much needed and welcomed Ice Water. Menus are online but paper menus are available upon request. Salsa and chips followed. Salsa was wonderfully zingy and rich and heightened our appetites. I ordered the Beef Chimichanga and he the Beef Enchiladas. Tasty huge portions arrived. Mine complemented my Margaurita nicely. The only issue was a swarm of aggressive persistent wasps. One even went ito my straw. If my friend did not notice, I would of swallowed it. Not a nice thought. My friend told the Host, however did not receive any concern or action. Please STOP using one use plastic straws and cups. It would have been a 5 star rating if not for the Wasps and Plastic.
Excellent mexican food, very impressed with the quality
Reading the reviews me and my wife stop in here. Margaritas not so good, plenty of food big plates but no tasty, American music in a Mexican restaurant doesnt match,be prepared to long wait for the orders.
Have to eat here, had the beef burrito absolutely amazing. Chicken mole looked great too. The Margaritas are a must.
Very good food great atmosphere good service
Best tacos & margaritas around! Always a fun time, great vibe!
Food is not fresh nor does it taste like mexican food.
They have excellent beers on tap and the food is not too bad.
Cute little place in point Edward, great food, service and margaritas!
Servers were extremely friendly, foods came out fast, and super duper tasty! Would recommend!
When we used to be able to get in this place it was good. There is no parking and only a handful of tables inside. During any busy time dont expect to be able to get a seat. Too bad since this is the only decent mexican restaurant in this area.
If you are in the mood for Mexican food and/or Mexican style drinks, this is a must go-to. Prices are absolutely reasonable and the service is perfect. Food quality seems quite authentic. Caesar comes with a full size beef taco on it
Pricey and terrible customer service but good fish tacos not great chimichanga
One of my favourite places to go. Best margaritas around!!
The service was slow , we wait a long time to get the menu. It was dirty and flies inside the restaurant.
I dont review places, but this place deserves 1 star, I recommend eating before you arrive and stick to big name beer brands, worst hour and half of my life in a long time
Used to be my favourite place in town but the service has really gone down hill.
Fantastic! Wide ranging menu. Prompt service. Nice casual atmosphere.
Delicious
Great food
I ordered the beef chimichanga. Hardly any beef in that huge burrito. Mostly rice and beans. Flavours werent bad, I didnt care for the lettuce mix on the bottom like that. Overall a decent Mexican place. The salsa that came with the chips was pretty good. I would like to see more beef in it for sure if its going to be called a beef chimichanga.
Our first visit and it was great! We will definitely return. Staff are so nice, and food is delicious. Its a busy little spot, and thats a good sign Parking: There is street parking (its just too cold & breezy today to want to walk too far) and a few in the parking lot. But its a busy little spot, which is good. Kid-friendliness: Yes it is, and they have a kids menu.
Cute little restaurant. This is unique and different for Sarnia area. Theres nothing else like that around. A bit pricy but the plates are fairly generous. I do find that the taste of food is only mediocre. Very bland. On the other hand, their margaritas are very yummy. I had a 3 samples flight. The mango one is so delicious!! But its always busy so people seem to enjoy this restaurant. They do not take reservations. Parking: Parking is easy during winter but in the summer its more difficult as the parking turns into a huge terrace.
Awesome! Fresh and tasty food. Staff are friendly. Love the tunes!
