WORST
I spent a very short time here just for a quick coffee drink on a Thursday afternoon. The place is easy to find with lots of free parking available. The inside was fairly empty but I was there in betweeb lunch and dinner so it's expected. Would definitely consider coming back here for lunch or dinner. I've heard a lot of good things about the food.
“One of our favorite places for brunch, lunch, or a family day out! Always satisfied with the service. We also celebrated my daughter’s birthday in the private room last October! Thank you for the great service, Laurie! Today we went for a lunchtime and its always a wonderful time going there
Such a lovely surprise walking in, little oasis that goes on forever. Lots of families and birthdays happening on Sunday which made the service pretty slow. Everyone’s eggs were overcooked but the menu options / ingredients were fun. I would definitely go back, it has potential
I recently had brunch with friends at this cozy cafe in my neighborhood, and I can’t say enough good things! We ordered the Pigeon Special, Shakshuka, and pancakes. All of which were incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. The interior was spacious and absolutely charming, especially with the greenery decorations hanging from the big tree, which made us feel like we were dining in a peaceful forest. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive experience. I’m already looking forward to going back soon!
I held our daughters Bridal Shower today at Pigeon Club Café West Island in their private room, I have to tell you it was AMAZING!!! From day one when I emailed to ask question I was answered by Sean the owner, very nice offered for me to come and visit etc... Make a long story short, he was always available to answer my questions, requests... Whatever I wanted and requested was met. He even let me come and set up the day before , that was a life saver. Today the event went beautifully, the staff I had were hands on and so nice, the food was plentiful and delicious. It was a Brunch, we had eggs, pancakes, salads, party sandwiches....all delicious. Thank you again to all, I would highly recommend your place for small or big event. We were 55 and it was very comfortable.
Finally I got to try this popular restaurant. The terrace was pretty busy on Sunday morning. My date had a grilled cheese with breakfast potatoes. Nice sourdough bread, good cheeses. Everything on the menu looked good but I settled for the grilled veggie sandwich with halloumi cheese and waffle fries. So friggen good. Everything on my plate was super delicious. I also drank a London Fog. It was delightful. Very beautiful inside. Definitely coming back.
We had the most amazing experience at Pigeon Cafe for a corporate event we held there recently! We hosted a paint and sip team building evening where we rented their private room and hired Canvas Club to help guide the activity with our marketing team. We were about 22 people and pigeon cafe served us the most incredible spread including salmon tartar, grilled cheese bites, hot dogs in a blanket, salad, waffle fries, spinach dip and sangria that was out of this world! The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was extremely private and welcoming. We were also celebrating a colleagues baby shower and I am still getting compliments from the team on how much they enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service. Highly recommended for events both small and large. They are accommodating and can help work with you on any type of event that you are looking to plan. We will definitely be back!
The perfect hangover cure!! I shared with a friend, the breakfast sandwich and the shakshuka. Both plates were tasty and hit the spot after a night out. We were a party of 8 at around 12pm and we were able to get a table right away. The staff were so nice and accommodated to my group’s needs. The atmosphere of the restaurant and decor is what makes going to pigeon worth it. It is absolutely beautifully decorated. I would definitely go again and try the restaurant in the evening.
I recently had a wonderful brunch experience at Pigeon Club Cafe in Pointe-Claire. The cafe itself is lovely, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel instantly comfortable. We were seated promptly, and our server was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the smoked salmon platter for two, which was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The salmon was fresh and flavorful, and it came with a variety of accompaniments that complemented it perfectly. For our main courses, I opted for the Pigeon sandwich, a unique and tasty creation that I highly recommend. My companion chose the pancakes, which were fluffy and delicious. The service at Pigeon Club Cafe was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to answer any questions we had. The food was served promptly, and we never felt rushed. Overall, I highly recommend Pigeon Club Cafe. Its a great place to enjoy a delicious meal in a relaxed and welcoming setting. I will definitely be back!
The food is really good, but the service is horrible and when we order a cookie with ice cream they gave us what ever they wanted.
Had lunch here, will be back
Amazing team with attention to detail, punctuality and professionalism. Food is always served hot and you can always get a table, even if you have to wait a few minutes, they are speedy to get everyone a comforting meal and juicy bevvy. Do not sleep on this top tier West Island gem.
I really enjoyed little time there just to sit and have a hot drink.
Cultural appropriation of food.. this cafe is a joke. you don t have a culture, make your own! But we all know Stealing is your culture..
Had lunch here, was great, baristas were cool too :)
I have been to pidgeon cafe multiple times both for brunch and dinner. The atmosphere and decor is outstanding no matter when you go but personally I felt the brunch was a bit underwhelming, the dinner was however very good!
Very nice restaurant, well decorated, good food and good service
Completely different atmosphere in a very good sense with a variety of ambiance: bar, dining, brunch, meeting
Good lunch in very good company
A nice and cozy place, one of the few restaurants in Montreal that makes you feel like you are in a restaurant, not a winery.
Nice place to meet up with customers. Nice atmosphere, good service, good menu! A restaurant where we find regulars! Possible to buy merchandise and products to take home! One of the best places on the West Island of Montreal!
Great coffee, food and ambience
I had a terrible experience with the chicken schnitzel sandwich at this place. It was overloaded with mayo to the point where every bite was dripping with it, making it incredibly messy and unappetizing. The chicken itself was extremely dry, and the entire sandwich fell apart as I tried to eat it. To make things worse, the mayo packets they sent for the fries were clearly old when I opened one, the mayo had turned into a jelly-like solid, as if it was expired. How can you send people something like that? It was a complete disappointment, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. This was my first and definitely my last visit.
Very nice place to eat or have a coffee.
The atmosphere at Pigeon Cafe was very pleasant and relaxing. Its a warm and friendly space, perfect for unwinding and enjoying a peaceful day. The staff were extremely polite, attentive, and professional, doing their best to make our experience enjoyable. The only downside was that even though we specifically asked for our coffee to be really, really hot, it was still served cold. I hope this gets addressed in the future because everything else was great.
Service was good, food was so-so (bacon overcooked, potatoes cold) and the kitchen was VERY slow. Waited 55 minutes after ordering.
Terrible service
Great food, thats not the issue Service was very, very slow. Came for breakfast and after waiting for 30 mins for a coffee, I decided to go grab it myself from the bar. Food took over an hour to arrive. Many tables around us waited as long or even longer than ours. I get food could take a while but at least bring coffee to the table in a timely manner please, its the morning and were all craving it. Place looks nice, staff was nice, but it was slow and loud. Hard to have a conversation.
Beautiful decor and ok place to meet with some friends and family. Food is average. Service a bit slow.
super slow service on slow times. avoid.
Sandwich was delicious, but expect a little long waiting for dine in especifically on weekends
I came twice, loved my experience. Today, the food receipe was off, told the waitress that it doesn t taste the same as the two other times. I told her I had it twice and it was delicious, if this were the first time I had it, I would never come back, she only told me she would let the chef know. When ordering our coffee, she didn t even ask what kind of milk we would like. They didn t do anything about it. I m very disappointed with our service today.
Made a reservation for my fiancés birthday. From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere is very inviting. The service from Dimitri and the rest of the team was excellent. The food did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
Service was slow and confused, inattentive even. A avocado side was delivered once the meal was 2-3 finished. What a waste!
Nice service, the waitress is too cute
Really beautiful cafe, interior was well designed. Great atmosphere. Good variety of food. Great place to have private events.
Foods good. Although the resto was quite empty, the service was slow. Waited 40 minutes for a drink. Perhaps they are understaffed. Food
Totally worth going
OVER-PRICED. Long wait to get our food, came in the smallest portions. I will say that it was tasty but we waited almost an hour. The machine s minimum tipping rate is 18%
I have been to Pigeon on Monkland and Cote Vertu and never had anything negative to say. As for Pigeon West Island, i was quite disappointed. It was 5PM on a Wednesday, therefore not busy at all. Waitress took a really long time to take our orders and to bring our drinks, we had to ask 3 times for more water. Food came surprisingly much quicker but it was mediocre. Which all seemed strange to me. Not sure if i d give this location another chance.
The most beautiful lunch restaurant weve seen in a long time! The design of this restaurant is truly unique, you will have the impression of eating comfortably in the middle of nature :)
Delicious food, generous portions reasonable prices and in a beautiful space, and very nice service. I removed 1 star because the tap water they serve tastes disgusting. Maybe because I was among the first clients and the water had been sitting there overnight? Buy yourself some bottled water to avoid the tap water. Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerance: cheese can be removed from most menu items
I was really excited to come check this place out. They had a vegan cookbook (Thug Kitchen) in the entrance and so I was hopeful they might have at least one vegan option. Unfortunately, they did not have any vegan food. Though I was disappointed, I am aware that not every resto has a vegan option but it seemed confusing given the vegan cookbook? I asked the waitress if the breakfast potatoes were cooked with oil or butter (always go for potato side when nothing else). She said she was not sure but would not go ask the kitchen. She said they would probably have to make it totally unseasoned and it would just be bare potatoes so I should not get it. I was unhappy that she would not even check with the kitchen. She said just get waffle fries instead. ~5 dollars for the breakfast potatoes vs ~9 dollars for the waffle fries. I was hungry so I said okay I guess. The fries come and for 9 dollars I expected it to be a nice portion. It came in a very small bowl and was absolutely not an appropriate amount of fries for NINE dollars. I also ordered a latte (thankfully they did have non-dairy milk). When my latte came, it was lukewarm and not enjoyable at that temperature at all. It was not even remotely hot. Overall, I will not be returning or recommending the restaurant. It sucks because the vibe is cute. But it was just really disappointing.
We had a baby shower at Pigeon Café. From the first time of contact, they were super helpful when planning our event. The day of, everything went even better than expected. The ambiance is perfect, service was amazing and everyone enjoyed their meals ! 100% recommend for a family or friend meal out or events/party!
Pigeon Cafe Pointe Claire. We were 10 people for a birthday. We waited to order and they took time to bring our meal. Once we got our meal the waitress told us we had to leave in an hour. Never came around to see if we needed anything else or to refill our coffees. We waited to get a piece of birthday cake for the birthday person never came. we were going out the waitress came running at the door with the cake dish in her hands. Bad service. Sad the place is very nice but we did not feel like valued clients. Will not go there again.
Our waitress Sara was awesome! Super friendly and my 4 year old daughter loved her! Great service, definitely coming back! Thanks Sara! Food
We recently celebrated our wedding at Pigeon Club Café, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The décor is absolutely stunning. The warm lighting, combined with lush greenery and elegant indoor trees, created a magical, intimate atmosphere that perfectly matched our vision. The unique layout of the space gave our wedding a distinctive charm. We held our ceremony under the trees on the mezzanine, and then enjoyed a wonderful evening with friends and family on the lower level, near the bar, with the patio doors open. The staff were exceptional! Very attentive, friendly, and highly professional. On the wedding day, they worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything went smoothly, and were always ready to accommodate any request. Several guests even mentioned how the bartenders remembered their drink preferences after only a couple of refills, which added a personal touch. We entrusted the food planning to the restaurant owner, Sean, which took a big part of the planning off our plate. His expertise in both the restaurant and event business ensured that every guest was well-fed. The food was fresh, flavourful, and presented beautifully. Our guests raved about how delicious each dish was, which truly enhanced the overall experience. If you re looking for a reasonably priced wedding venue with stunning décor, a warm ambiance, and outstanding service, Pigeon Club Café is the perfect choice. We couldn t have imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate our special day, and we highly recommend it to anyone planning an event.
WORST WORST WORST PLACE EVER. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS RUDE STAFF, CRAPPY FOOD. Came with our food after 1 hour with the wrong order!!
Beautiful decor, plates are a good size but a little pricier than most breakfast places. Coffee not included which was a bit disappointing considering it was 3.95 and thats not when for a specialty coffee (latte, Capp etc)
I was very impressed with the atmosphere. Lots of green, very modern and clean. For my part, I found it a little noisy so I went to the terrace. I ordered a caesar salad which was slow in coming. The salad in my opinion was a little dry and fell way outside the parameters of a caesar. The anchovies were fried or dried ( not sure) leaving them lacking in flavour and adding nothing to the taste. However, my sister ordered the lox and bagel and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal.
The wait time is way too long. We were basically ignored and when we went to the counter to get service the wait staff was too busy looking in their phones. Very disrespectful!!!
Food was great, ambiance spectacular but the service was horrible. Got up and asked for service, 4 of the staff members were laughing at something on a cell phone, I had to wait for one of them to come over and see me.
Amazing restaurant in the West Island, would recommend to anyone! Staff very friendly and food was amazing.
At the time we went it was pretty bad. Took over 3 hrs to get our food. The food was not kid friendly (set menu for a party and we couldnt order from a regular menu. Not the restos fault for choosing the food on the set menu but they could have accommodated.) I dont know if id try it again sans kids.
Loved the experience here, the service was perfect. Our waitress was really attentive and quick
We had my aunts 50th birthday party in the event room downstairs and it was great! The organization went very smoothly with Sean and the waiters were awesome. Everyone was very patient and cooperating with our group of 35ppl. The room was very spacious and we were happy to have a projector as well. I will definitely be booking again!
We spent over a month looking for a place that can accommodate over 30 people for my cousins 50th and when my friend recommended pigeon cafe West Island I was pleasantly surprised. I dealt with Sean and his patience, understanding and flexibility was very helpful when planning a party thank you. The room we had the party was big and accommodated us all and we had room to walk around and dance and show a video on the projector. The waiters were incredibly competent, polite and friendly. Food was great. Prices were good. Thank you Pigeon Cafe for a memorable and lovely experience. I would highly recommend Pigeon Cafe for your next party we will definitely be back!
We celebrated my aunt s 50th birthday in a private room in Pigeon Cafe s basement. It was a wonderful experience! The service was amazing with very patient & kind staff. Sean was great to deal with too! Everything was organized, smooth, and the room was perfect & spacious. I definitely recommend it! I ve also been here many times for lunch and the food is great for lunch too.
Interior is very comfortable, a bit expensive for breakfast but still enjoyable.
Took too long to take the order and for the food to arrive my chicken schnitzel was too long in the fryer it was dry and hard. And the waffle fries was oily.
Food, thats about it nothing fancy or great.
We frequently eat breakfast out and are always looking for a new spot to try. We finally got around to trying Pigeon Club and were very disappointed. The normal courtesies of a breakfast place were simply not observed. Toast was served but unlike every other breakfest restaurant we have tried no jam or peanut butter was offered on the table. I ordered eggs/bacon with no potatoes and, again other places will ask if one would like some tomato or fruit instead, here nothing. Our other order was pancakes, but other than the syrup that had already been put on in limited amounts, no additional syrup was offered. The bacon was overdone. A big surprise was the coffee which in other breakfast restaurants is included in the price, ie two eggs, bacon or sausage , potatoes and coffee. The coffee here is extra , $3.75 each. In total one order of two eggs and bacon, one order of blueberry pancakes and two coffee tax and tip =$56.17
Nice little gem. Good drip coffee and awesome chocolate croissant
Had a wonderful dinner for my boyfriends birthday! Really enjoyed the whole atmosphere! Food was great and our server was super sweet and very helpful!
Beautiful restaurant but the food was awful. I ordered eggs and they were undercooked and had zero taste. I was very disappointed as this was my first time there and I spent a lot of money. I was so underwhelmed with the Pigeon Cafe and would not recommend this restaurant as beautiful as it is!
Had a turkey croissant for $17, it was underwhelming. Croissant was small and it came moist, and I think it was undercooked. Potato wedges weren t that crispy, but the seasoning was ok. The table they sat us at wasn t cleaned properly (still had crumbs on it) but at least the atmosphere is nice and bright.
Cute place. It s doesn t worth the hype. Overpriced and not very friendly staff.
Held my bridal sprinkle here for a group of 20 yesterday. The staff was quick and nice. The food was great and its such a beautiful location that barely any decor is needed!
Was very noisy and long service at cafe in Poinclaire , Ville saint Laurent the service is much better
Amazing baby shower for 25 people . Service was amazing, food delicious and pleasant atmosphere . Highly recommend!
Service takes FOREVER. We waited half an hour to sit down and we ve been waiting 25 minutes just get our coffees, which regardless of how long the food takes, should be the first thing served at a table along with water. God knows how long it s going to take to actually get our food. I m a waitress and I know that this shouldn t take this long. They give the illusion that they are fully staffed but either way, everything here is done at an extremely slow pace and I m not even being dramatic here. Atmosphere is loud you can t even hear the person sitting across from you. Food is also super overpriced. Honestly, I would just go somewhere else. Update drinks never came so we ended up just canceling the order.
Beautiful place, wow, wow, wow.
I have been here multiple times for lunch. The sandwiches are ok. Recently, I went here for Friday dinner and drinks with my girls. We ordered shrimp cocktail, salmon tartar, and some dish which served grilled chicken with veggies. Shrimp cocktail was the most lame dish I ever had - they served 6 cold shrimps - without any marination or flavor - with ketchup in the glass!!! Ketchup!!! Basically, the chef did zero effort for that one. Salmon tartar was the worst Salmon tartar I consumed in my life. Only thing worth having was the grilled chicken. The drinks were ok. Ambience was fantastic - the place has good vibes, awesome servers but food wise they have to put more work.
Just Amazing!
Pleasantly surprised with cafe. The green juice was my favourite.
I m not sure if the menu at all Pigeon cafes has changed or if it s just this location, but it was a smaller menu than the one in St-Laurent had a few weeks ago, so I didn t find the waffle covered in fruit I was craving. Also the tables were so close together you have to move the tables to get to the seat and your junk was still rubbing on both tables. Which made people visibly uncomfortable and self aware(and that was the skinny folk of which we are not). I wonder what the firemarshall would think. I can t imagine what would happen in a fire wouldn t end up being safe. The food was ok. The breakfast sandwich was good, but came with cheese we didn t notice on the menu(not great when you have food restrictions), and overcooked breakfast potatoes. Wheelchair accessibility: Not at all wheelchair accessible stairs everywhere and tables too close.
It is a wonderful place to eat drink and enjoy in a glorious atmosphere!
Rented the private room for a bridal shower. They made the planning an easy and nice experience. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. The staff including the event coordinator /owner were very attentive, polite and hospitable. I highly recommend them to host an event or if you re looking for a restaurant with good food and great service. Jo-Anne Robson
We were lucky enough to have our children s baptism dinner at this beautiful restaurant. Sean took amazing care of us from planning to hosting. The food, staff and atmosphere were perfect and I would highly recommend them for any event! Thank you very much to the entire team :)
Parking: Excellent location Food
Really enjoyed the food and the place! Nice decor and the service was perfect! Servers were warm and welcoming! Food
Amazing service and delicious food !
Absolutely amazing experience! Food, service, atmosphere, all perfect and would recommend to anyone.
We had a great event with our team. Everyone was amazed how gorgeous the restaurant is and the food was delicious. Thank you to Sean, Dimitri and the Pigeon team for the impeccable service during our team meeting.
Went there for breakfast/brunch. Their breakfast potatoes are so good. The interior was amazing! Every little details count.
Really quick service, fresh food and gorgeous atmosphere. My new favourite spot to meet up with friends! Highly recommend!
I finally had a chance to try this place after hearing good things about the restaurant. First off , the place is gorgeous. The decor is beautiful. We found the staff very friendly and the place was busy on a nice Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Pigeon Special and my wife ordered the Richard Lewis. We enjoyed our foot (especially the waffle fries ). I was slightly disappointed that the menu didn t have brisket though. Overall we re satisfied with our visit and we will be returning in the near future.
I went on a Saturday afternoon with my mother and aunt. We wanted to talk and enjoy a meal together. The music was so loud it was like being in a club. Not relaxing at all. We were never offered refills on our coffee or asked how our meals were. Seating was comfortable and the set up is lovely but we will find somewhere else to spend time together.
Nice decor, but its to cover for below average food that is overpriced.
We had a private event at Pigeon Club Cafe last night, and it was simply magical! From the gorgeous venue to the amazing staff, all our gusts had the best time. The owner is such a pleasure to deal with and cannot wait to do our next event there! Thanks again!!
This year I have had a birthday brunch, a baby shower and a work event hosted at Pigeon Club Cafe and all of my experiences were exceptional! Sean and the staff are so accommodating and really dedicated to creating a great experience for the guests. The food is always amazing no matter what! I recommend hosting in the restaurant as well as in the private party room!
I ve now hosted and attended various events at Pigeon Club Cafe, and am always happy with the outcome. Their food is amazing, and their staff is both welcoming and present to help in any way possible. Looking forward to going back for many more meals!
Lovely place for coffee and sweets, a bite to share or an evening out with a date or family or friends
Super cute place, fun vibe. Pleasant enough staff. My dining companion ordered the matzoh ball soup, which she had never had. After her first bite of matzoh said she didn t like the strong bitter taste. i said, it s not supposed to taste bitter. I tried a bite of matzoh and it was awful, nothing like any i ve ever had. Tasted rancid. We told the waiter and it was removed from our bill. Other dishes we ordered were waffle fries (they tasted just like the frozen ones we buy at home)and the Shakshouka, which was good but not outstanding. Later, when my companion was still burping up that nasty matzoh, we followed up to make sure the waiter had told the kitchen about it (he had said something about not everything is to everyone s liking). He said they were taking it off the menu because this was the *second* complaint. i wish they d tasted it after the first complaint. Honestly it ruined our dinner. Companion still burping up rancid matzoh. Too bad because it s a nice place. Not sure i d go back.
Gréât restaurant to have a great brunch at. Service was excellent. Staff were pleasant and efficient Food was spot on. Food : 5/5
Love their menu! Vegetarian options: The option is there Parking: Free parking lot Kid-friendliness: Menu for kids Wheelchair accessibility: First floor easy entrance access
Just had my daughter bridal shower today...amazing service, fantastic food and all the staff members were welcoming and extremely attentive to our every need..great place great job..thank you for an amazing experience. I Highly recommend this place for events..very professional
Super nice restaurant just a liiiiittttle on the too loud side. The trees and lights are gorgeous. But it s extremely loud inside. There is a wait on weekends but it s not horrible. The food was very very good! We had the pigeon special sandwich and the grilled veggie halloumi sandwich ( I changed the bread to a challah roll and added the Caesar salad for $3. Super tasty!!! To sum up. Super pretty inside. Almost like you re outdoors! Good very tasty. We will go back but on a weekday when it s less busy and loud.
Very disappointed with the service. We waited over 50 minutes before receiving our food. Additionally, the food does not live up to expectations. Very disappointed, because the place is very beautiful!
The decor of the restaurant is among the nicest in the city. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. I recommend the Pigeon special sandwich. Waffles fries were delicious too.
Food and atmosphere is very good but service is very slow and the wine glasses are TINY and 20$ per glass!
Was nice, we had some suggestions about the menu and the service. We appreciated that Sean the manager came to see us, he was proffetional with a weet smile, he took the menu suggestions in consideration And gave us some explanations about the service. We wish that his warm smile will be contagious to his personnel cause our waitress was a bit cold and lacking some customer service training. Bravo Sean, u succeded to let us leave with a good impression and satisfaction
We hosted my baby shower this past weekend in the private room and couldnt be happier with the experience and service. It was a pleasure working with Sean the past couple of months. He was very attentive and make sure all our needs were met. The day of the event, everything was perfect from the delicious breakfast food, to our waitress Olivia who was very accommodating, pleasant and a sweetheart. I highly recommend organizing your event there, you wont be disappointed. Thanks again Sean!
They keep pushing you to order or leave even when you are already ordered and still eating !!
I had mixed experiences. I went on Mother s Day and it was fantastic! What an ambiance and all of our food was so fresh and delicious. I had the shakshouka and yellow smoothie. I raved to everyone I knew. We went back for Fathers Day and it was not at all as I expected. Our latte s were room temperature and in my opinion nothing special. Our pancakes were only 2( I thought we would be getting 3) and they were soaked in syrup when we got them, I mean soaked! I was u see the impression we could pour the amount we wanted. The merguez sausage was dry and tasted like cheap quality meat, I was embarrassed because I praised my halloumi shakshouka we previously ordered and this was .. not so good. The poached eggs in them were way over cooked. Also the challah bread got dry and cold before we even got to the dish and I ordered double bread. My shooey bagel was like overcooked dry egg( no yolk whatsoever) when I ordered poached . ( annoyed) And the bacon was chewy and fatty, almost microwave tasting. The first time we tried bacon is was great ( I think my mother told them extra crispy). The bagel and sour dough was very hard and dry. I hate to be so negative when I was so proud of it on Mother s Day, but I was actually embarrassed when I brought my family there this time. But.. breakfast potatoes were consistent and delicious! Oh and my yellow smoothie this time ( again I originally bragged about it) was almost a juice that ONLY tasted like orange. I didn t taste any ginger or turmeric. ( I feel like they screwed up and gave me fresh squeezed orange juice) but it almost had a commercial OASIS O.J taste This was at the West Island Location
The food was really good but unfortunately me and my friend we got an attitude and a side eye for the waitress that was serving us because we didn t choose the 18% 20% 25% tip instead we put 15% and she singed and didn t even say thank you have a nice day she just left and didn t look at us. It was really awkward and doesn t make me want to come back:/
I went to Pigeon Cafe awhile ago and i have been holding back this review but this needs to be said. Besides the decor avoid this place. I sat at my table with my wife and witness Shawn who I think is the owner be the most deplorable person with his staff. This man is inappropriate and derogatory towards his employees. He needs to learn to keep his composure and treat his employees with respect. Most importantly he should focus on his job and not checking out every woman that walked into the restaurant. I will never step my foot in this place ever again. The food is fine but not extraordinary and it is overpriced. When you order breakfast coffee is not included. A cup of coffee is $3.75 which is mind blowing for a filtered coffee that is the size of a Tim Hortons small coffee. I wouldnt be surprised if this restaurant isnt closed in the near future due to very poor management. This Shawn guy is an absolute clown. Once you get past the impressive decor this restaurant is nothing more than an overpriced cafe/restaurant.
First time coming here and had a table for 11:00 . Great atmosphere and decor, service was great despite how busy it was. I heard good things about this place and was looking forward to my meal. Ordered the Pigeon Special sandwich. Very disappointing. There was barely any meat in it. I m not exaggerating when I say there was 1 slice of each type of meat. We ended up calling it the sad sandwich. So don t recommend getting it. Otherwise the other dishes that was ordered were good.
Too business like, not personable
Great restaurant! Will definitely be back soon :)
Wonderful experience!! I planned an event at this location and it was an ideal setting. The food was excellent and the service was top-knotch. They were very accommodating to our group and ensured that we enjoyed ourselves and had a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend planning an event here or even just grabbing a bite!!
The atmosphere of the cafe is simply charming. Soft, ambient lighting combined with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee creates an inviting space that feels like a home away from home. The decor, with nature touches and cozy seating arrangements, adds to the welcoming vibe.
Pointe Claire location on Mother s day. Was absolutely perfect. A bit of wait but all worth it for the quality of food. Sat at the bar perfect view of beautiful decoration. Can t wait to go back for a supper experience.
Not sure what the hype is about besides the decor . Group of five went for lunch on a weekday, waited 20 minutes just to get a coffee . Horrible service throughout the meal , so much confusion by waitstaff and mediocre cold food
Everything was very good! I wish they gave another slice of bread for all that yogurt dip. Other than that everything was very filling !
Friendly staff, great ambiance, very clean and modern. Food was fantastic!!! Not disappointed! Highly recommend giving them a try if you havent already!
Unexpected and pleasantly surprised! Thanks
Delish food, the chef knows what SHE is DOING! Order the waffle fries, they re SO good! #felttherush
I dont see the hype but this place was the first and last time. Too expensive for what it is. Loud music was way too early for my 9am breakfast.
This was my 3rd time at PC and I would only ever go back for drinks. Our waitress was great, however, there were a couple of issues 1) My friend s order arrived and the runner handed her the plate across the table (her hands were stretched out to receive it). Another runner came and called the plate back because an extra item was added. This was a very awkward experience (esp because everyone else had their plates). They should have just asked if she wanted it and offered it to her without additional cost for their mix up It was not good service at all to take the plate back that was almost literally in her hands. 2) I ordered the green smoothie which was approx $12. The ingredients were not properly blended and I kept having to chew or remove chunks. 3) Abruptly around 10/10:30am music started blaring. It was hard to hear each other speak and very uncomfortable for an early breakfast. Not the right setting, music or volume level for the atmosphere.
Very very nice place that the corps is spectacular of the food was okay the service was terrible I have never seen a restaurant where Im receiving my coffee and my dessert and my plate for my food is still on my table.
We recently hosted my daughters birthday at Pigeon Club Cafe. The food was excellent and abundant, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere was amazing. My guests enjoyed the morning and the birthday girl had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this venue for any parties you are considering to host.
Really good place to come with babies since its spacious.
We had a great experience tonight at pigeon cafe in the West Island. Our waitress, Olivia, was very helpful and had a kind and welcoming smile on her face the entire time. Will definitely come again!
Olivia was amazing! She s very quick and efficient with her service!
Thanks to Olivia for the beautiful service! My friends and I had a great evening!
Loved the experience, first time here. Our server was Olivia. Very friendly and helpful. Would come here again!!!
Thank you Olivia for the awesome service!
Held an event here and was very pleased. Staff were greatly helpful (the waitress in our section was extraordinarily helpful and her attention to detail was great) with the event overall, food was great and Sean was great in his assistance for the planning. Definitely will hold events here in the future.
First time visit, decor is gorgeous, nice atmosphere for breakfast. Service was good, coffee was tasty. Unfortunately, for the price, there are better alternatives around for the food. Lacking variety, and as others said, items to enhance the plate. If you advertise avocado as included in the plate, it needs to be there, otherwise with the small amount of variety, it is noticeable. Overall good experience, but I will return to other breakfast spots before this one.
Amazing Easter brunch, great time and good food
Atmosphere was great; the place is beautiful! The service was pleasant but very very slow, it took a while before we good order anything and our drinks came 30 minutes later. I had the tartar and it was nothing special and the fried pitas it was served with was dripping in oil... I recommend to not order the tartar.. if you go please order anything, but that
Im not going to lie. The food was good, the vibe is very pretty and even if the prices are a little ridiculous, it was still worth going. Given that Pigeon is clearly Israeli, it is quite insulting that they felt the need to appropriate our food and make it their own. Shakshouka, labneh, halloum, etc. are NOT Israeli, they are either African or from the middle east. As much as it pains me, since Pigeon is one of the nicest cafés we have in the area, I will not be going back there given the circumstances. If youre someone that is boycotting anything Israel, you shouldnt be going there.
I planned my sisters baby shower at Pigeon Cafe in Pointe-Claire and everything was perfect! Sean was a pleasure to work with and made us feel at home and was very attentive to our needs. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great place fo host private events and even just to eat for brunch! I absolutely recommend!
Best atmosphere in the neighborhood! An absolute pleasure price is worth it. Food quality excellent. A must try! Had the salmon tower and it was amazing a must for smoked salmon lovers Vegetarian options: Alot of options for vegans and vegetarians Dietary restrictions: Healthy choices available! Aswell as if you want to have a little cheat meal Parking: Alot of parking
Had my birthday brunch yesterday at this lovely cafe. Everyone was so happy and satisfied with their dishes; the staff went above and beyond to accomodate our big group. The green smoothie I had was oh so yummy, and the Shoeys Breakfast Bagel was so goooooooooooood. And I cant forget about the Ferrero rocher Cheese cake... Delish! The atmosphere and vibe and decorations also make this place a must for your special celebrations. We will be backkkkkkk!
Went for breakfast with my husband on Sunday. Waitress was extremely nice, food came out really quickly after ordering. Bright, nicely decorated, decent prices, coffee was really good. Only 2 things were a bit slow getting my oat milk for my coffee and getting our bill. Not the end of the world since we werent in a rush. Will likely go back with our kids some time.
Positively perfect in every way
Very nice restaurant Very instagramable
Its call the pigeon special for a reason. Great sandwich. Service was excellent. Very nice decor. Cant wait to go back.
We had a very pleasant evening with friends, the food was very good, the service was perfect with smiling and attentive waiters and the wow decor added to make this evening truly perfect.... Well done to everyone. team!!
Bland food no flavour, disappointing
This was my third and absolutely last time here. Still no improvement with the service. Today, as I was waiting at the entrance to be seated, two waiters were there and oblivious to the fact that I waited for more than a few minutes. Over half of the tables were empty at this point... The last straw was to see a young waiter prioritize greeting a friend over having me seated. It is disappointing to see the lack of willingness to train waiters better and improve the organization here. So unprofessional...
Very expensive! A bowl of soup is $10.00!!! Not a place to bring a family to! The decore is very pretty, desserts are not great!
Delicious food and amazing service. I could eat here every day.
Food is so good. What ever you order, you gotta try the waffle fries! Amazing
Update your schedule on Google and apologize when you dont keep up your time.
We were there last night for dinner. Just before the comedy show. Service was excellent. Food was served quickly so we would not miss the show. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Another employee went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Food was excellent, 2 of us had the lamb chops, absolutely delicious. Grilled veggies so flavourful. Pasta dish was delicious as well. My daughter had the shakshuka and it was perfect as well. Portions are big and cooked just right. Cannot wait to go again. So many tasty dishes to try. We had a fantastic time in a beautiful location.
Im giving this place 5 stars, but if I could I would give it 100 lol. The food hits the spot everytime, whether it s for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or for a coffee break. I m still dreaming of the shakshuka. What really made this place stand out for me is how the manager, Sean dealt with a situation I had with Uber eats a few weeks ago. Long story short, there was a mistake with my uber order (I only received 1 item out of 3) and uber didn t accept to refund me for the missing items even with pictures and a receipt as proof) and I was told to reach out to the restaurant directly. Sean right away heard me out and went above and beyond to resolve the issue and generously gave me a gift card + a coffee for the inconvenience. I am definitely going back and spreading the word that this place rocks !
Portions are very small along with poor service. Despite the spot being beautiful and having a great vibe .I ve never felt satisfied in the 3 times I ve been there. I really wanted this to be my go to, but unfortunately it will not.
Safe with several choices for celiacs!
Very nice place, very clean, good service and decor very chic. Food was really good, I just removed one star because the brunch menu is limited and Google does not allow 4.5 stars, but we liked what we ate. My wife and I had the omelette and we both liked it. Recommended for a weekends brunch !
Wonderful atmosphere, charming and trendy interior. Lively spot with live music and attentive waitstaff. Food was above average at best, coffee was good. Nothing to rave about. Great for a social hang.
45 mins alter still waiting for my food
Best food and service.
Had my sisters 40th birthday party at Pigeon and it was fantastic!! The vibe was lively, staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. Seriously every dish was a hit. Couldn t of asked for a better spot to celebrate this milestone. Thanks Pigeon.!
Great staff, amazing food and awesome ambiance. I highly recommend Pigeon Cafe. I recently went twice, once for an event (baby shower) and once for brunch with friends. Both times were above my expectations. Best coffee in town! I will be going back soon!
We were really blown away by the food. It was really wonderful and felt like a celebration of flavours. The decor was really magical and the service was beyond expectations. We will be back. Vegetarian options: Shakshuka is vegetarian. It was epic.
Thanks so much to the team at Pigeon Cafe Pointe-Claire for hosting our baby sprinkle. Sean was excellent to deal with and was very accommodating. Our waitress was sweet and patient with our large group. This resto is stunning and the food was good! We will be back.
I hosted my baby shower at Pigeon Club Cafe and Im so happy I did! Sean was a pleasure to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of the event. The staff was welcoming, attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, the portions were large and the presentation is nice with the 3 tier platters. Every aspect of the event was truly spot on. I would recommend Pigeon Club Cafe to anyone looking to host an intimate event with a beautiful atmosphere and great food!
Service needs improvement but this is also normal with such young, inexperienced employees, otherwise they are very polite and pleasant, the food is not bad at all but slightly overpriced
Absolutely gorgeous! Great vibe. Youd swear you were in South Beach. Great service. Really nice menu. Beautiful bar and choice of drinks. Parking: Located in a large strip shopping center. Lots of free parking spaces
My fiance and I absolutely fell in love with the Pigeon Club Cafe in the West island. The entire team was incredible, not to mention the food and those cappuccinos! 10/10.. The vibe, decor and atmosphere is unlike anything we have seen. HIGHLY recommend this place for anybody! We will be coming back very soon... Parking: Huge lot, no problem finding parking at all.
We ordered through Uber eats. They had a buy 1 get 1 for schnitzel and egg sandwich, so we ordered along with a babka. Food came, we opened bag it was just the babka. Called Pigeon they said that no one was at the front desk when the driver came and the driver took only 1 of 2 bags. Said we needed to take it up with ubereats. I went back on uber eats to contact them and noticed Pigeon had removed off their page the buy 1 get 1 for the schnitzel and egg sandwich. Very shady, I called back Pigeon and they came up with a whole new story about how they did speak to the driver. Pigeon told the driver there were 2 bags and the driver acknowledged but then walked out with just the one bag. They took zero accountability and not even an apology. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth, very disappointing
The glass cups that were given to us for water were dirty (had lip stick and other stains). The bus boys seem clueless as to what they are supposed to be doing and continually hovering over you.
What an incredible experience ! They hosted my baby shower and they were excellent ! Food was delicious, service was great
Rude, slow and pretentious is never a way to open a business
Its a very nice and relaxed spot to have a coffee, a delicious dessert, and nice chat with a friend. The decoration is beautiful and warm; a very pleasant ambiance. Parking: Free mall parking
I have been to this beautiful coffee shop/bistro multiple times with my mother sister and friends, the food is great, the decor is beautiful and makes you forget that you are in Montreal. The service was a bit slow during one of my visits and the manager Sean made up for it beautifully, we had a great conversation about his efforts to make this place more than a restaurant but actually a place where community can come together in the West Island through; yoga, paint and sip nights and more. I will surely be back. Thank you for creating such a fun space in the West Island of Montreal.
Mediterranean-inspired brunch dishes and a full bar. Its beautifully decorated and is spacious yet warm. The menu is not your typical breakfast fare, but its delicious and healthy. We had the shakshuka and the Mommys Fresh Omelet (a tomato/basil/cheee omelet that came with a great berry salad.) Update 2/6/2024 : Not enough servers for a busy lunch crowd Would have been acceptable for a busy Spring break crowd, but my omelet was unfortunately crackling with egg shells in each bite Kitchen staff must be more vigilent to quality Subsequently removed a star on Food and Service :(
Wonderful food, awful service
Amazing food highly recommended Food
Aesthetically, a beautiful restaurant. The food was okay where the breakfast potatoes were very underwhelming - lukewarm and not crispy. Service was okay. It was hard finding our waitress + we requested ketchup and it was never given.
Very good food, a bit slow on service even if they are very sweet. Let s say I wouldn t go there if you re in a hurry. But the food is excellent. Not too many choice but that s ok too. The breakfast sandwich is a must and for kids, homemade pancakes for once and not the one from the box. Then the place itself is so beautiful you forget that you ve been waiting!! A little pricey too, considering they charge 3,50$ for a simple coffee. I always think that coffee should be included in your brunch price. Lol
Great food and a great atmosphere. Took my kids on a supper date and they loved every second of it. Staff was professional and friendly. The interior is beautiful and warm, almost makes you feel like you re eating in a garden. Background music is a great bonus. My daughter was singing along to every song. Keep up the good work!
pcc is beautiful. we enjoyed being there, our server was lovely & wonderful, and the key lime pie, ferrero mousse cake, and spinach artichoke dip were DELICIOUS. highly recommend. BUT. we had a reservation for 6 and when i arrived first in my party & a bit early the host seated me at a table with a wood bench and no cushioning despite there being 5 big cushy plush leatherette banquettes available. no reservation book was checked to select this hard uncomfortable seating, im not sure why he opted for it. within minutes i asked if we could please have one of the soft looking booths instead. he accommodated (tho joylessly) & still oddly placed us at the furthest booth directly next to the kitchen. i wasnt about to ask AGAIN to be moved, despite there being another 4 more select booths it just felt odd. still we were happy to be there & had a great experience with our server. i wish i could rave about my dinner, the decadent penne a la gigi described as having brisket & mushrooms as it was a big portion & decadent sauce but there was slight to zero brisket in there! thin thin wisps of meat were barely identifiable amongst the sea of mushrooms. if youre gonna list brisket as the first ingredient PUT BRISKET!! try CHUNKS not HINTS. would not order again, don t be fooled by the deception as i was. definitely disappointing.
I haven t had the chance to go in-person (yet) but I ve ordered through Uber Eats and the food is consistently AMAZING!! Fresh and tasty! The challah roll sandwiches and matzo ball soup flavours bring me back to my childhood. So excited to have this gem in the West Island and can t wait to go sit down in the restaurant.
Great service and food. Prices are on the higher side of scale. Portions are on smaller side for price paid.
Ive gone by twice in a months time because of how great this place is! A new gem of the west island with good food and greatttt coffee. The decor is also super nice and fresh
Nice place, food is OK but a bit expensive for what it is. They mixed up my order and service was really slow.
Good food and exceptional service.
The vibes and location are great - service and food can be enhanced a lot , but coffee is good - service needs more friendliness and better approach to customer - food needs a much wider variety - very limited option- if you want to keep only those items and not enlarge your menu , you need to add much more alternatives to the plates - like add fruits for breakfast or other kinds of fries or bread .- the taste of the food is average - the croissant breakfast was the best - dessert Is ok but not wow
Everything about it was perfect. It takes you away to another place when you walk in, with the size of it and the lights and the music. The service was perfect the food was perfect, absolutely no complaints.
Fresh, yummy food ate everything on our plates! Varied menu items with great options for breakfast or lunch no matter your level of hunger. Beautiful and bright decor: window seating, upstairs seating. You do not feel cramped or that you are sharing space. Service was disappointing (it was a weekday not busy).
Expensive, but worth it for the experience (and good food!!)
Love Pigeon Club Cafe Great atmosphere, staff and experience every time ! Would highly recommend ! Food : 5/5
Second visit, not any better than the first. Ambiance is good. After waiting 15 min. Was served coffee. Gave in our order. Took an hour to get it, had to ask in between for coffee refill. Got a second cup just before our food came. Sat on main floor, it was really cold, the front door does not close properly, a draft the whole time. Can not recommend to anyone, really unfortunate because the restaurant is really well decorated and has a great vibe for the first 15 min. When reality sets in and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting. It loses its luster
Beautiful decor, fast & friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommended.
Good vibe but food is not that special.
Amazing service! We went there for dinner with a couple of friends. The service and the food were amazing. The interior design is stunning; you dont see restaurants like that in Montreal. Food
