Great vibes, excellent beer, and delicious food! This is an amazing spot to hang out after work and chill out.
I ordered shout island drink no alcohol in it!! And the burger bison deluxe, the mushrooms and onion were dripping oil from it. Mckibbins used to be nice place but the quality is now far below average
Please do not choose The chef salad on the special menu That item should be removed from the menu even my colleagues could not believe that was served! a loaf of bread hard as a rock , should have been flatbread which was not ! shredded Romain and a few shrimps with ranch bottled dressing When I asked about the bread, they said this is our flatbread. I wish I should’ve taken a picture. Service was great, but honestly, that dish is the worst salad I’ve ever had in my life time not worth $$
McKinnon Irish Pub is a fantastic spot that captures the true essence of a traditional Irish pub with a modern twist. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a beautiful blend of rustic charm and contemporary touches. The staff here are not just attentive, but genuinely friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food and drinks are top-notch, with a great selection of classic Irish dishes and perfectly poured pints. Whether you're stopping by for a quick drink or settling in for a hearty meal, McKinnon Irish Pub offers a delightful experience that’s hard to beat. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a cozy setting makes this pub a true gem.
Not a bad pub! I used to come here more often but I haven't in awhile. Today I sat on the patio. They usually have live music on certain days where people come up and sing. Nothing to complain about.
Very charming bar. Good service. Good nachos, onion rings and club sandwich. The spicy margarita is delightfully spicy and 12$.
I ordered the homemade Irish stew. I really hated it. Maybe it's just not to my tastes, but it was not what I was expecting at all. I've had the Irish stew at Ye Olde Orchard and it's amazing, I've even posted about it before. Theirs was creamy and had a rich savory flavor of Guinness. By contrast this Irish stew at McKibbins was very tangy and sour, almost like there was vinegar in it. It made it taste like the soup was rotten or spoiled. I tried tasting individual pieces (carrot, potato, meat) to see if there was something I could avoid, but everything was saturated with it, especially the meat. The only thing that tasted good to me was the dollop of mashed potatoes on top and the bun that came with it. The bun was very moist and delicious with a subtle sweet flavor. It was a shame because it was pretty expensive, $23 before tip and I had to throw out the rest because I just couldn't finish it. Perhaps this type of Irish stew is more authentic and I just made a regrettable decision for my taste buds. I just wanted to warn others if they were similarly expecting something akin to Ye Olde Orchard. I will say that the pub had a nice atmosphere and the staff seemed very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Maybe they have other things that would appeal to my palate. The decor was charming, with a little matching door for "leprechauns".
The Bushmill's Whiskey Chicken was not worth more than $2 and certainly not the $28 it is. The chicken meat was dry and tough, the tiniest of portion of both chicken and mashed potatoes, mostly was sauce which was over salt, however the topping of onion wings was good. The best part of what I ordered was the Salad Greens which was not bad and certainly a lot better than the chicken.
I rarely write negative reviews, but I was quite disappointed here. The food and service were certainly OK, but the quality of the food has gone way downhill (Ive been coming here for literally decades but hadnt been back in almost 10 years). Furthermore, the prices are now extremely high. $200 for 2 ppl with 2 appetizers, one meal and a few drinks. Not worth it anymore in my opinion.
Great place. Good beer good service nice atmosphere
Ordered a long island ice tea...wasnt the greatest, ordered so.w good appetizers. The ambiance, environment really good Food
Great live band and lively atmosphere
Best place to go for food and gatherings. Live bands and good Irish music.
Great service even for a large group friendly waiter good food reasonable price
Love the live bands, the friendly staff and amazing atmosphere.
Pricey for what ends up on your plate but the food was good. The staff was bored as it was around 4pm on a Monday when we arrived to grab a bite before getting on the train
They were offering a special Cajun menu and the jambalaya was very good spicy enough but not too spicy
Its Monday Night Football and you turn off the game for some wannabe cruise ship lounge singer. Cmon Man!!!!!!
Great food. Fun place
Nice place to spend evening with colleagues. Good bear
A real pub
Tried to get in with friends. Apparently, theres a dress code on weekends, which Ive never heard of wouldnt let some of us in with sweatpants. Only stick with the Mckibbins on Bishop horrible management here. EDIT: Thanks for denying us access, we went to Brasserie Hymus and won big money on the slot machines much better place around fairview
Nice place, great food and
Nice atmosphere especially when the band arrives.
Nothing beat a great fish & chips with a draft Guinness
Worst place to get a drink in the city. Also saw a deceased animal in the toilet. Food
I love this place alex the best
Nice place! Great service. Beer selection could be better. Best place in Montreal west Island to get Murphys stout and Guinness on tap!
Great place to drink and eat, good atmosphere Parking: Lots in front Food : 4/5 |
Great bars, great food. Well priced drinks. Live music is a treat. Staff is very friendly.
The lobster BLT was excellent
Food was delicious despite being overpriced. Service and staff were phenomenal, friendly and courteous without being overbearing. The music was waaaaay too loud, we were outside and still couldnt hear each other speak. Made us leave earlier than we wanted to.
I simply loved it
Exactly what you expect from a place like this.
Good food, good price, good service. Generally a very pleasant place to eat or drink any day of the week.
The blond headed waitress with glasses and crooked teeth was very unwelcoming. Tried to bring my mom here for a nice diner but I won t make that mistake again.

Typical Irish pub of westisland....
Need space to dance!!!
Great menu and music
Overatted food, awful service from a Hollie who couldnt understand the difference between a old fashioned and a whiskey sour and you work the bar.. Right. This inexcusable for a proper bar. Also then proceeded to get attutude from her when I tipped 15%. Never going back this place is a joke compared to downtown locations.
The food was amazing and staff was really nice!
Nice place for friends hang out . Lively as well .
Great pub atmosphere and live band. Parking: Plenty of free parking as its in a mall complex Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Went there for a comedy fund raiser. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Quick and efficient service with great homey attitude. Will go back.
Great place
Fish and chips were amazing
Good place to forget about troubles at work
A west island staple. Been coming here for decades. Good service, classic pub food, and a really nice selection of whiskeys and draft beer.
Karaoke Tuesdays impressive talent!
I really like the new vibe theyve given to the place, especially the service area, and its nice to hear bands from their early days, good jamming, covers. The food is a bit lacking, but just a matter of tweaking, highly recommended.
Great Irish pub. Multiple choices of beer . Live bands on the weekend.
Always a good experience ! Good food, good drink and always a great band !
This place should be ashamed of serving Guinness. The pour was horrible, the head was bubbly and not filled to the brim. Compared to the other locations the food was not on the same level. Frozen patties and small portions of fries. Talking to the manager he said that there was no issue and the burger was fresh but he lied.
I used to love this place, but the food quality has decreased immensely. The fries are ugh, even the St Ambroise New England IPA is different and not in a good way. I had the French Onion soup and it was luke warm. On the flip side, the waitress was outstanding. However I won t be going back anytime soon.
The music is way too loud, not good music either. Whoever is making the playlists is definitely over 40, service was slow. Sad to see this place fall so far.
Nice place, live music. Staff is super friendly. Might take a little bit to get food and drinks on a weekend. Very busy, and the staff gets a little behind.
Tried the Pub after many years and its was good. My wife ordered the soup Very Hot and she says it was really good. I ordered the Shepherds Pie and it was a little too wet but still OK. Came with nice salad so overall the meal was very good and great value for the price. Drinks were also lower price for 4 a 7. Overall a good experience and seemed like a lot of regulars there enjoying them selves. A little run down and old looking as only complaint. Waitress was very good too.
Cant go wrong
I absolutely hate this place, way too loud and impossible to have conversations. Also, the crowd is full of creepy guys and preppy girls. Though, the sausage and mash potatoes were absolutely amazing! I really hate this place but my friends force me to come. HELP ME OUT OF HERE! I d much rather go in a nice bar in Montreal where i can at least hold a conversation without screaming like a deaf person.
Nice staff, energetic music, warm people d
Very Loud
Gréât vibe
Nice Irish pub and good food
I loved the food. The service was ok (nothing great). Fish & Chips was Amazing Bangers & Mash - did not like the seasoning in it. Mash patatoes were awesome Seafood Chowder BEST EVER Food : 4/5 |
Great place to relax with great live music!
The bartenders make everything s more pleasant gaelles service was extraordinary and she has a lovely singing voice. Would go back again.
Amazing food and the atmosphere during karaoke night cant be beat!
The Bison burger foes not taste anything,
We came here for saint patrick s day celebration and it was FUN!!!!!! Good breakfast, excellent band! Make me wanna go to ireland
Service was quick during the weekend of St-Patrick events.
Great band, atmosphere and cheerful service!
Quite an interesting place. McKibbins Pub in Montreal leaves a warm impression with its comfort and atmosphere of a real Irish pub. The menu is rich in traditional dishes and a variety of beers that delight both connoisseurs and beginners. Service is excellent: the staff is attentive and friendly. McKibbins is the perfect place to meet friends or spend an evening alone with a beer.
Great Irish pub! Service is fast and accurate. The band was very entertaining. Nice ambiance and atmosphere.
Overall fantastic experience. Our waitress was amazing, food was great, music and decor was great. 5 stars!
Great service, clean and pleasant. Parking: Shopping center parking lot.
Had the pleasure of savoring the best onion soup at this spot, and I must say it exceeded expectations. The atmosphere is consistently inviting, making each visit truly enjoyable. Looking forward to returning and exploring more of their offerings. Highly recommend!
Their chicken filets are amazing, I have a hard time ordering anything else because they are so damn good
A hidden pub gem in a shopping mall. Live music and peculiar decor.
This is my favorite spot, hands down. Doesnt matter what location, the experience is always consistent.
Too gay for too long. Not so friendly when you get down to it.
Fun place to go day or night. Although the weekend crowds trend toward the student crowd Tasty Irish meals. Offers good value lunch specials Food
We came here for some good music. But the band would not play until 10.15pm. The bar tender kept pushing drinks. I would not recommend for anyone to come on a Saturday. Very disappointed
The meal was excellent, but in a large group (50 people) certain measures should be revalidated on the service side, our colleagues left having eaten and our meal was not served. Otherwise great experience.
Restaurant is dirty. Food was not worth the price. Burger was dry. Beer tasted like the lines have not been cleaned in a while. Service was mediocre at best.
Awesome music
Saw an employee reach out to a woman sitting alone on Christmas Eve. He stood and chatted and more importantly took the time to just listen. A drink was offered to her. It warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Great job Steve.
Super service!
The fish and chips was good..the waitress was amazing ! She remembered my sister and myself after 7 years !!! Food
Quite busy on weekend, like the live music. Tap IPA is my favourite!
Nice music
Love it
Unfortunately all the tv speakers and audio system not functioning .Hockey game was on but no sound . So we left
The food is good and they have a good beer selection. Nice ambiance Wheelchair accessibility: Rampe daccès disponible Food : 3/5 |

Looks like the one near Concordia. Good menu and good beer
I ordered bloody mary it was just tomato jus with salt nothing else I told the waitress but nothing changed left the glass ordered beers and they still charge me for tomato jus. Food
Awesome atmosphere with live band performance. Food is alright-good.

Very good place to have a drink and chat with colleagues
Great service, great band playing that evening. No rating for food - we had drinks only.
Music is a bit loud to have a conservation over but I guess thats all bars. Servers are kind and helpful, food is good Food
What a great spot. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Very very greasy food. So much delay on service. Food
WOW Im definitely going back, great food and atmosphere
Food was decent. We sat at the bar cause we were trying to be quick but our service was the slowest we ve ever had. Then the blonde bar tender refused to attend to us. We had to ask repeatedly for drink refills. Food
A lively and large pub. Friday night is a must
Love this spot especially when its happy hour! Food and beer is always amazing
My fave!
We were there for a retirement party...the service was perfect!
In a pictures review this time !!! Looks tasty
It s an excellent place to have fun, eat with friend listening live music. Food is ok . Price is reasonable
