Beautiful location on the lake, great food and perfect atmosphere for a meal out. Also learned that the Fish & Duck rent out houseboats and other boats/ kayaks for great prices. Will definitely be returning!

Great spot to eat on the way to Tofino and the food was very good. Great views from the patio looking across the lake to the Martin Mars Bomber base. Was even able to get a sugar free margarita.

Service was bad, wasnt even offered a glass of water, and the fish, in the fish and chips, was doughy, under cooked. Wanted my mac bites to be an appetizer, but both came within a couple of minutes of each other. Even informed the server. In short, will not return, wouldnt recommend

I had the privilege to dine here twice in the past week. Beautiful views along with the friendly, accommodating staff made each visit pleasant and definitely worth repeating! The food was great and I highly recommend the potato skins and grilled Cali burger.

First and last time visiting. Ordered chicken wings, nachos and 2 piece fish and chips. Chicken wings were decent. Nachos were soggy and missing ingredients - terribly plated. Fish meat was good, batter was burnt and inedible. Environment didn t feel clean, windows were rotten with many dead bugs and dirt buildup. Drinks were cold lol, that s a plus. Servers were also nice and polite. Manager was nice enough to chat with us before we left. Super disappointed as we were so excited to try this place for the first time

I found the tables we ate on were dirty. The food was expensive and not nearly as good as what it used to be when Wayne cooked there. Definitely miss the wedge fries. I did not like the guacamole Indian spices on my chicken Burger. Food

Was told my non-alcoholic beer was boring . The bill said virgin drinks . Terrible service, food was overpriced and very bland.

First time at the Pub even though we live in town. Enjoyed the food and view. Good way to spend a few hours. Enjoyed the wings and the duck poutine.

The patio has such an amazing view of Sproat Lake, you can even see the Mars Bomber! Atmosphere, food, and service were great and not over the top. Great place to come on a nice Summer day.

Fish and Duck Pub is the biggest hidden jewel on Vancouver Island. Newly renovated, this place has a wicked atmosphere/service and unparalleled views over looking the lake. Whether youre sitting on the patio or inside the music and atmosphere is always a great vibe. The staff are super friendly and owners are willing to bend over backwards for anyone who comes out. The food is absolutely outstanding as well. Lastly, this place is attached to a multitude of different airbnb opportunities, houseboat rentals and a dock so you can come visit directly from the water! 15/10 would recommend!

Five of us went for dinner and drinks on Friday night and the food, drinks and service were on point! While sitting on the outdoor patio you get a wonderful view of the water. Halibut and chips were tasty. Highly recommend.

I am giving this one star because the place doesn t bother to keep its opening hours up to date. We travelled out of our way to visit the pub on a Tuesday. Their Facebook page said they were open but a man we spoke to at the dock said they ve been closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays for awhile. Not sure why they can t take a moment to update their hours. Also would be nice if they used more social media than Facebook since lots of people don t use that platform.

Best fish and chips Ive ever had, well worth the wait and Ill be stopping by everytime we pass Port Albernie.

Staff was great. There is a lovely deck on top that overlooks the lake where you can enjoy the sunset. Food was just ok in our case. Will come back ^_^

Rented a kayak and paddleboard from Fish and Duck marina for a week. Great price, great service and they even delivered it to me on the lake!

We spent a warm evening on the deck overlooking beautiful Sproat Lake. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The mood was upbeat and the friendly banter across the deck made us feel welcome. Im looking forward to our next visit.

What a beautiful place to go to have a few drinks and eat some food. The view is breathtaking and lovely to be close to the water.

Great little restaurant on the lake. Limited menu weekdays before 4 pm. Everything was great. Service was excellent! Thanks for your extra care with my meal. Limited parking as well.

Great location, hard to beat looking out at Sproat Lake on the patio with a cold (local craft!) beer. Had the duck poutine. Marvelous. Docked one star as we were by ourselves on the patio and the hostess seated some loudmouth bros right beside us despite the rest of the patio being empty.

Great views from the patio, and terrific, unusual food at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and personable. Not very accessible for people with mobility issues; stairs are steep due to its location on a short cliff, and theres no place for a ramp.

Had an amazing weekend with an amazing group of friends on Labour Day Weekend on the Jalesa. Sproat Lake is one of my favourite spots, and I have been to ALOT of places. The owner was great to deal with and everything was just perfect. We rebooked for next year as soon as we got home and cant wait for a houseboating 2022. Tip: a foamy on top of the existing mattress made for a great sleep.
