My kind of place. Friendly old style pub, real size pint, fresh beer at a good price.🍺
Horrible interior, dirty glasses, painted up like a daycare, limited bottled beer, serving red wine in chilled glasses, lights are so friggin bright it gives you a headache, gross interior
The pub is a great atmosphere and the service (Kathy) is always fantastic. So happy to have longer hours for the pub and food, however the kitchen seems to run out of ingredients. Would love to see more variety on the menu or daily specials. The food is really good but would just like more variety.
i decided to spend my saturday nights here after rack and rally had their liquor license taken away, and at first, they treated me with respect when i told them (rather teary-eyed) how i was discriminated against at fx niteclub just because i got sad that nobody wanted to take me home because of my visible autism, but apparently, that was just an act, because just a few short weeks later, the staff began treating me like a criminal just because i was upset about being stranded across town with little to no cab service a few weeks prior in addition to the problem i've just mentioned. ableist staff, do not go here. i'd give zero stars if i could.
We really enjoy visiting the bar at the Blue Marlin. Super friendly and welcoming people, good draft, and the food is REALLY good, with VERY generous portions! We haven't had occasion to stay in the rooms, but if the effort made by the staff in the bar and kitchen is any indicator, I'm sure they're a good bet, and we did read that they were recently updated. Certainly a hidden gem, in our opinion!
Nice old hotel that's had a decent upgrade however never finished. In the bathroom the shower needs silicone, water actually runs out the corners and across the bathroom floor. No fan in bathroom aswell. Could be cute if they finished it. Check out at 9 do to Covid to allow extra cleaning, okay but what about the hair in the corners and coffee rings on the dresser state's other wise. Very nice lady checked us in.
Very clean, quiet comfortable room. Surprisingly quiet since it's on top of karaoke bar. They provide ear plugs, but we didn't need them. Super comfy king bed, walk in shower. Also, really good breakfast! Highly recommend!
Nice staff, the Inn is very quirky and full of character. The bar is loud at night but they provide you with ear plugs in case you don't appreciate the noise. The room is small, but nice, our bed was comfortable and they allowed our dog! The only complaint that we had was that there is no air conditioning in the rooms and we were there during 37° heat...unfortunately we had to find a new place to stay because of this. Not the owners fault and we would totally recommend it to someone who doesn't mind a bit of noise and who was going on a cooler day.

Thursday Jam night..great fun! Good music, service was excellent, food was delicious with good portions and nice presentation. Loved the dancers, musicians and vibe!
Great little local bar. Small and not many t.v.s which is a bonus. Has a pool table. Really friendly and great service! Caesar was tasty!

This is the only review I have ever written and I feel compelled to share my experience because it was so outstanding. By a sequence of unusual circumstances I ended up staying here 8 months straight when we thought the world was ending one year ago. I had only intended to stay a short time but the hospitality, fantastic cooking , a caring and flexible staff kept me until I bought a house that is right near one of the staff members. In addition to the excellent service they provide their customers, the staff have gone (very far) out of their way to support folks who live with disAbilities in the community who are navigating the current pandemic and associated restrictions. I would emphasize that they are doing so without virtue signaling on social media or painting a distorted or narcissistic veneer - so refreshing to see. The Blue Marlin isnt the Empress or Hotel Vancouver and it is neither positioning itself nor attempting to present as such. It is however, what I would consider to be the real deal in terms of the good old fashioned without a hint of pretense. I loved every moment of it and would not hesitate to either return or send folks their way. I wish more places could be like the Blue Marlin and I hope they can keep the spirit alive as long as possible. If you are one who values authenticity and seeks to support a business that is genuinely integrated and invested into the community then the Blue Marlin would be at the top of your list. Bottom line is that if we dont support qualities that engender businesses such as these, they wont last and being that ultimately we choose where to spend our money, the decision regarding what we want in our communities is solely up to us.
booked through AirBnB simple and easy. Building has that old feel to it but the room was completely modernised. Of our 4 day trek this was the best room. The building has a hostel vibe to it and the room was perfect for the price. The hotel is on the busy interesection ear plugs are supplied but not needed

Love this family run business! Great ideas behind the doors happening all the time. Excellent home style food and friendly service makes this a staple in the Valley.

Unacceptable. No chair, dirty common room. Our room smelled bad. No cooking. No where to hang clothes. Nothing! Really noisy, music all night and the bar was closed (it was Christmas!). The bed was lumpy and soft. It too at least 5 minutes for the water to be warm (not hot!). All in all a big disappointment.
Excellent room and boarding (room 115). Friendly staff, we had inclusive breakfast that had large portions. Recommend staying here.

Fantastic place for a family stay over. Suite was quiet, well equipped and very clean. Comes with spacious kitchen, dining, appliances, cutlery, large dining and 2 nice size bedrooms. Excellent location and building has restaurants and pub too. Highly recommended!
I booked this hotel through airbnb and its a nice play to stay and it has a great view. Really grateful for this. First this place surrounded by a pub, a liquor store, a fried chicken restaurant, couple asian restaurants so don t worry about food. You ll get breakfast too. The enterance better get in from turtle beach cafe, so much better than get in from the pub or the fried chicken restaurant. Both rooms are cozy, I really enjoyed it. One bathroom that is no problem. They have sharing shower room just outside your room. The floor i think it never being mopped, so dusty and it feels dirty on your feet. If you are planning to cook, especially if you booked from airbnb bring spices and oil They only have salt and pepper. The rest they provided here such as utensils and kitchen stuff like knife, can opener, microwave.
We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Marlin Inn(#115). We will book again for sure, if in the area. Amazing breakfast I must add.

The room we got looked NOTHING like the room photos on google. Hair on towels and on the bed. Were originally told there was no housekeeper to come remake the bed and then one suddenly showed up and was friendly. There are no bathrooms in the room, only common bathrooms and showers down the hall. Rooms are sweltering hot but a fan was included. Very hard to find the entrance for the hotel and lock sticks to our room. Would not stay here again!
Cant give zero stars but I would. I did not book this room. It was booked sight unseen by the club that was bringing me in to dj. Lets get this started. There is no lobby. You have to go into the chicken/Mexican restaurant and say you have a room Sheets were brown and had old stain marks. Hair on the pillows and in the sheets. Hair in the clean towels. They had to call the housekeeper at home to come in and change the sheets. As I guess none of the staff were able to. Shared shower and toilet (both seperate rooms) No tv, no AC , no fridge, no table or chairs. I stole a chair from the laundry room so my wife and I could both sit. Sweating in our room cause the only air flow comes from a dirty fan. Double bed is pushed up against one wall otherwise it wouldnt fit. Dont know where the got the photos they use on Google from, definetly dont match what the room actually looks like.

Rooms are spartan, without toilet or shower. Breakfast is included in the price but still too high for one night. The equivalent of 50 would be okay including the toilet and shower.
Awesome little pub. Free pool and entertainment. A friend lost a family heirloom and called to see if they had it. They did and held it for her. Great people.
In the process of being renovated. Combination of private and backpacker rooms. Good included breakfast. BUT, rooms are above a lounge with a very loud band that kept going till 2am.
Horrible hotel to stay at. Rooms are ugly little to NO amenitys. No coffee maker. No Bar fridge or microwave. NOT worth the price you pay for to stay in a dump like that.
