We waited for more than an hour for our food. I had the eggs Benedict and it was pretty underwhelming and under seasoned. The hostess was great though.

Amazing food, service is top-notch, be early to avoiding waiting. Worth the wait though if you are running behind.

Our favorite place for breakfast/brunch in Port Alberni. Good portions, decent prices. Service was always great. I only had it once as a special and it never came back in the menu when I was there, but they had the best beef dip Ive ever eaten. Parking: Parking lot is small and not well laid out or necessarily easy to access if you are visiting the first time. If the parking lot is full, so is the restaurant.

My favourite Bruch restaurant in town. The patio is wonderful in the warmer seasons too. Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options on the menu. Dietary restrictions: They offer a vegan scrambler. Its gluten free and dairy free for those who need it.

Must-try brunch spot in Port Alberni! We went out for brunch and it was delicious and decent pricing for large portion of food. They offer alot of options and youll find something you want to try for sure. Our server was very attentive though we were a large group. Their hashbrowns are one of the best Ive every tried :) Be hungry when you get there!

Drove from Bowser first time back since pandemic was asked to sit at a two seater surrounded by loud people but was refused the option to sit at a four top as they wanted to give the 4 top to 4 ppl. I was uncomfortable with the 2 seater as the crowd there was very loud, and seating was very tight. Chose not to stay. 50 minute drive...too bad. Long drive to go away hungry.

I got the seafood Benedict with crab cakes instead of English muffins which was absolutely delicious. My partner got their burger which he also said was great. Both the hash browns and fries could use a bit more seasoning but still a great spot

Had the Mexican Scrambler and it was one of the best breakfasts I ve ever had! So tasty, hot and quickly dejected to my table with a smile! Would recommend this place to anyone! Great vibe!

I did love this little restaurant....today, not so much. Our $14 Caesar was barely worth $3...and served an hour after ordering. If you cant handle the amount of tables you have hire more servers...and another cook....instead of having your wait staff make excuses. There is no excuse for a cheaply made salad. Sadly the owner, who lives and comes from Tofino, has more than one restaurant, the Shed and the Shelter. I wont be frequently spending money at any.

Personally my favorite place in town. Specials are always great, staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. Area can get a little busy in the summer but lots of parking around.

Our kids loved this place. Generous portions, great bennies, fun decor. Was very surprised though to not find a single item on the menu with salmon...in the salmon capital of Canada.

At the intersection of two large roads, this place invites you to stop. The name is misleading: it is not a fish restaurant, but it has the usual dishes including omelettes and club sandwiches, burgers and small side soups which are delicious. The dishes are excellent. Limited choice of beers, not even mentioned on the menu. Very courteous service.

Great breakfast - I had the classic Eggs Benny, and my son particularly liked the crispy bacon.

Co-workers from Victoria constantly raved about this place, and that its a must stop when in Port Alberni... so I finally made it in for some breakfast, and can see why everyone raves!!!! Place is quaint, staff was super friendly, and breakfast couldnt have been more perfect! This is everything you want in a cozy, local establishment, and will be a must stop for me every time!

Stopped in on the way to Nanaimo ferry from Tofino. We ordered but realized we had misjudged our timing and had to change to rush takeout! The staff cheerfully accommodated us in record time despite a backup and we are very grateful. Also the food was excellent even when we ate it an hour later at the terminal.

Washed my Tesla here. Excellent car Wash establishment all the latest car and truck wash equipment. The staff is ready and available to introduce you to the system, which they did for me. They also reinforced the requirement to push the STOP BUTTON when finished so you don t continue to be charged to your credit card. Great place great attitude and service.

By far my favourite place in Port Alberni for breakfast. french toast is to die for and the staff is always happy to serve you. The restaurant is a little short for space but does have a couple bigger tables

I absolutely adore this place. The waitresses are amazing! They all know my order by heart. I try to go there once a week. Delicious EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! When I get asked where to go for the best breakfast in town, they are my number one answer. Love you ladies!!!

Highly recommended to locals and visitors alike. One of the top breakfasts in town. Went there for breakfast today and had the huevos rancheros...there would be a picture, but I inhaled it too fast! It was incredibly delicious. So many flavours. Mmmmmmm! Its a small restaurant, which means you should expect a bit of a wait. But it is absolutely worth it. Theyre only open for breakfast and lunch, so plan accordingly. Parking: Its a small lot. If its full, there is free street parking on Johnston Road, and free parking at Victoria Quay. Wheelchair accessibility: It would be challenging to get a wheelchair in this location because the restaurant is small with a narrow aisle. However, Im sure it could be accommodated with a call ahead of time.

Staff: I always love the service we get going here, friendly and efficient. Food: I have tried many different items in their menu and love their breakfast items from the traditional to the eggs Benedict, I prefer to swap the homemade hashbrowns for a fresh fruit bowl, especially in the summer. Mainly a place we go for breakfast, but have tried their chicken Cesar and chocolate cake Cleanliness: its always clean when I go, which is always nice. Only 4 stars and not 5 because it is a very tight squeeze and I could stand 2-3 tables less inside but we continue going knowing the size of the place.

I love this place. Always have, since the first time I visited. This was the first time Id been back since 2019. The menu was just as pleasing. My meal was delicious, and large enough to share (French toast from HUGE pieces of French bread). The fruit was fresh and delicious, with no added sugar or glaze of any kind, which was great. Their Bennys are egg-cellent (get it?) I especially enjoy the Neptune Benny, though I get the half original half Neptune. Its way rich. Highly recommend, especially for brunch, or if you have a lot of varied tastes. Parking: They have a parking lot, but there is also Street parking, and you can park up Johnson, or in the Victoria Quay lot, and walk over. Its very flat, so you dont have to worry about hills or anything.

I went there today with my Dad for his birthday, as they were the only restuarant open on July 1st! Really great service even though they were smokin busy! We enjoyed the Loaded buger and the Seafood lovers omlette! They even brought out a little dessert for my dad for his birthday

Food was excellent. Dog friendly patio. Server (Sheila I believe) was very friendly and brought a bowl of iced water for our dogs along with a dog treat which I thought was awesome. No regrets stopping at this place on our way through town and would highly recommend.

We always have enjoyed this family friendly stop in Port Alberni enroute to and from Tofino. Their chicken tortilla soup is a house specialty. They have pleasant patio dining for the outdoors during the pandemic, in addition to their indoor air conditioned dining room.

Fantastic place to stop on the way to/from Tofino for breakfast or lunch. Don t miss the Neptune crab cake bennies - super delicious.

We stopped in for brunch on our way home from Tofino and it was just what we needed. We both had the Classic Eggs Benny and it was made to perfection - one of the best we ve had in a long time!! The place was packed and the team did their best to get us in as quick as possible (maybe waited 10 mins). Once we sat down the service was prompt and quick, and incredibly friendly and personable. The only reason I didn t give 5 stars was because we had ordered Mimosas, which we received, but once we finished them we were never asked if we wanted another or something else to drink. Overall really great and I highly recommend! Parking: Private parking lot right out front, good amount of parking.

The service was so terrible and the staff so grumpy and unwilling to help us that we left before we even got to order food. Do not recommend! We ended up at Boomerangs Cafe down the street. Much, much better!

For vegan options, you can have the vegan tacos and the vegan scramble, both of which are fresh and delicious along with friendly service on a lovely outdoor patio.

A Latin American oasis in the heart of Port Alberni. Sitting on the patio you could swear you were at a cafe in Mexico, Cuba or Central America. The service is swift and friendly, the prices are fair and the food is delicious with generous serving sizes. Blink and youll miss it though; if you are westbound out of PA and you cross the bridge and come to the Marina youve gone too far. Turn around - its worth it!

The food and service was great. Went yesterday and had the stuffed portobello mushrooms which were amazing. The waitress with the black hair recommended the Tuscan prawns to my friend and she loved them as well. Will definitely come back if in ever in Port Alberni again

Great food. Great service. On a short holiday to the Island and had three meals at this restaurant and everytime we were warmly welcomed and the food and portions were exceptional. Highly recommend this eatery.

I grew up in Ontario. I have been vegan for 2 years. In that time I have eaten hundreds of vegan meals at many restaurants. The art of vegan breakfast is one that many people avoid and few have mastered. Pescadores is truly one of the masters. I ordered the vegan scramble and I was not disappointed. In fact, this vegan scramble blew me away. In all my days this was the best vegan scramble I have seen in front of me. The entire meal was delicious, nutritious and even led to some amazing days on Vancouver Island. Knowing that this meal is in my body gives me confidence for my future and the future of the planet. I invite pescadores to become a vegan restaurant, they obviously know how to make amazing vegan food. The only aspect rivaling the food is the friendly staff. Exceptional customer service, the server was friendly and fun.

The best breakfasts on our trip: delicious blueberry pancakes. The waitress was so friendly and accommodating, although the bistro was completely full. High value for money, which is probably why there were quite some local people present as well. Would totally recommend.

No haters, Im just being honest. My hubby ordered eggs Benny, eggs medium hard. He bary put pressure on egg and it burst into a raw goo. The English muffins were soggy and not at all toasted. The hashbrowns were on the cool side and drenched in oil without a crisp. My omlette was so greasy I couldnt eat it. The cheese was processed. Ugh. The toast was good, I ate a piece of that. We simply couldnt eat it.

Bad experience at this restaurant today for lunch! We waited an hour and 15 minutes for a lunch that contained little protein -fish- but loads of salad. Too much. The servers were rude when asked when our food would arrive and offered no apologies but rather excuses. If the restaurant didn t have the capacity to take on large numbers of clients, then why did they? As well, the tables were too close together and far too many numbers of people to observe safety in time of Covid. Not ever going back and neither will my friends and family.

The blueberry pancakes are the best here. The breakfast is so filling that if you have a full-blown breakfast meal here, you wont need to have lunch or dinner. The omelette and the toasts were also good.

Id been to Pescadores a few times over the years and have always enjoyed their great service and breakfast menu. I was really surprised that to hear that they were closing for good. I felt a little sad to see all the regulars saying their goodbyes. Thank you very much!

Came back here today after a couple years of being away and it was truly amazing! Service was superb warm and genuine no rushed vibes ambiance is laid back: food? I had a quesadilla and it was very tasty and fresh not heavy or greasy my wife had a standard breakfast but it was all perfect and the coffee? Well that too was yummy I love it here such good service and value for $ our bill was $33 for a good breakfast and coffee? Can t beat it! Can t wait to come back. Lovely place. Great A+

Quaint cafe tucked away on the route to Tofino. Good food, decent portion, great price. You cant really go wrong. If youre taking a trip and will pass this place by, do yourself and your stomach a favour and stop in to grab a bite.

Big portions and fresh flavor! I ordered the fish tacos and tuna salad to go. Both came with a hearty salad. Fish was nicely crisp and the thick tuna steak was seared beautifully.
