Great beer. Great service.

Most food things were sold out when we went and they had a notice up that they were understaffed and so there would be some shorter hours and longer waits, which is understandable. That said, food was delicious when it got around to us, took around 40min, beers are always on point. Worth stopping by, try a pale ale and an IPA. I wish they served burgers, or something other than just a turkey sandwich.

Twin City is an awesome experience all around! The staff are amazing and friendly! The food and beers are always great!

Top tier beer and excellent pizza

Good for pizza, not good for ciders, sours, wheat ales, heffs, sessions, or really just beer diversity... If you love an IPA, they got you covered. Grateful for the dog friendly patio

Im taking it hard because I got 3 incorrect food orders in a row and that feels bad - sample size of 1 isnt necessarily indicative, but it should probably be noted. 3 wrong food orders, 3 separate visits, 3 times in a row. Is the beer good? Yes. Is the food good? Yes. Did they make all those orders right? Yes. Am I going to go back? Probably, but not likely for food.

This is a great brewery. Really like their beer (I tried 3 different beers and enjoyed them all!) and their pizza, especially the Maui Wowee, is super! The greybeard cocktail was underwhelming. Food/drinks: 4.5 /5. Servers seemed novice, but friendly and checked on us often: 4/5. Atmosphere was 5/5, loved our patio spot and it had great vibes for a Saturday night.

No sour selection and only couple ciders, lots of beer options. They ran out of pineapple, our party of 4 wanted to try the Maui waui and couldn t. The goat pizza was good, wouldn t get Margaret again

Absolutely stellar experience at Twin City Brewing! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The beer selection is top-notch, with a perfect balance of creative seasonal brews and classic favorites. I was particularly blown away by their Swedish blonde ale, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. The food menu, though not extensive, pairs wonderfully with their beers. We tried the pretzels and beer cheese, which were delicious. Twin City Brewing isn t just a place to grab a drink; it s a local gem where passion for craft beer truly shines. Can t wait to come back!

Very cool spot, great menu options and the beer is overall quite great. But I dont recommend visiting if you have any other plans that day -- the service is incredibly slow. I find the staff all very pleasant and (mostly) friendly, but without exaggeration youll be waiting 15-20 minutes for your beer to arrive at the table.... after visiting a handful of times, I truly dont understand how its possible to be this slow or what is causing it. Also, the small pizzas (which are rectangular flatbread style) are very dry and 1/3 crust, but the full sized round pizzas are great.

Only recommendations would be a light bed of cooked Asian noodles, peanuts or crushed cashews for texture, and an avocado add on. Regardless so well done! Really enjoying the overall vibe and music; it s not easy to go to a lot of places solo, but I was welcomed with smiles and conversation:)

Best pizza in town hands down!

Twin City Brewing is a locals hang out that nicely sums up the Port Alberni experience. Meticulously hand crafted beers that please the pallet paired with equally amazing pizza. The flavours are stupendous! Bright cheery atmosphere, very friendly, not to noisy (at least on a Tuesday evening). If your not sure what to get try a couple different ones, they are all tasty in their own right.

Beer was good, on the fruity side. Pizza crust had a good chew and texture. The pepperoni was very good, with thin crispy edges. Goat cheese pizza was good too. Neither oily at all. Service was great. A beer brewer explained some of the process to us.

A perfect stop off the Highway The pizza special was one of the best I have had in a long time. We had the Tickity Boo & a nice stout cant remember the name but all were great and temp out on the patio was heated.

The beers are always rotating with amazing new taps to discover and fall in love with. You are doing yourself a disservice if you dont go here for the pizza alone. Everything else is just a wonderful addition. Will be back again soon. :)

This brewery is excellent! My partner and I had a flight each and split their Eh Game pizza. I can t believe how good everything was! There was SO much mozzarella on the pizza, and the mango sour beer was top notch. We ll be back!

The pizzas and beer are great here, and my man and I stop in every time we drive from Vancouver to the coast. But the Bahn Voyage sandwich CHANGED our lives: literally the best sandwich I ve ever had. I ve been looking forward to having it again for months. To my utter heartbreak and disappointment today when we walked in, we were informed it had been taken off the menu. Don t know how I am going to recover from this!! Kudos and endless gratitude to the amazing Hannah, who wrote out the ingredients for the Bahn Voyage for me, and the pork rub recipe, so I can try to make it at home. Exceptional customer service! PS also bring back the Beetnik pizza!! UPDATE! Because I know yall have been wondering ... I finally found some smoked onion so I could make the aioli, and did my best to replicate the sandwich according to Hannahs instructions. It did not disappoint - sooooooo delicious, just so freakin yummy. Thank you to the staff for sharing!

Stopped in to sample the beers and have lunch. They have fabulous brews and a warm inviting atmosphere. Lunch was delicious and made Vegan for us. The Thai salad was amazingly good, featured soup was good and hummus was amazing as well. Highly recommend if you re looking for beers and a Vegan lunch.

Great place to taste the local craft breeding and outstanding culinary pizza scene. Pizza was spectacular. At first when you look at the pizza , you feel it might be a disappointment but when you taste it it all goes out the window. Easily one of the best tasting pizza I have ever had!

We visted the brewery in early April and were very impressed. We visited a a fairly cold and windy day but we wanted to be outside as it was pretty crowded inside. The staff were very helpful in setting up a heat lamp and readying one of their tents. We tried several of the beers, all were nice, the root beer one was our favourite. We thought it might be too sweet but it wasnt. We each ordered a small pizza and both were excellent. We visit quite a few fairly pricey Italian restaurants in Nanaimo and Vancouver - the pizza at Twin City would not be out of place in a fine dining Italian restaurant, it is that good.

The best place to grab a beer in Port Alberni! The seasonal sours are always on point, and the pizzas are delicious.

We make a point of driving to this fantastic spot from Nanaimo whenever we can. We havent had a bad beer here yet - they always hit all the things we look for in a really good craft beer. Fantastic food, too - the gochujang wings are off the chart!

The Tidal Hefeweizen is an absolute delight. Born in Munich, I was practically raised on Hefeweizen, and this is equal or superior to anything brewed in Bavaria today. Kudos guys for making a top notch product. I will enjoy this as long as you brew it.

Both food and services are second to none. Also like the ambience and the unique water pitcher. We walked in for dinner one night and ordered two large pies, the GOAT and the Rapscallion. They were DELICIOUS. The taste and quality outshined gourmet pizzas we have at home. We like the place and food so much, we stopped by for an afternoon snack a few days later on the way passing by Port Alberni. This time we had a large pie of Inner Circle. Again, taste and service were second to none.

Best beer and food in town, lovely staff. The smoked red lager is particularly delicious! Tourists (like us) really should spend more time in Port Alberni, our days here have been delightful!

A great bang for your buck for a flight of tasty beers. They also serve pizza which looked delicious as well.

It s really nice to have a meal that doesn t cost a fortune but still gives you the food as art experience. The Adoring Carnivore pizza found the perfect balance of meatness without excess, leveraging a robust pepperoni. The Bulgogi Brisket lettuce wraps brought forward a combination of flavours and textures that, after all these years and all these meals, I had not yet experienced. What a treat! And the beers? All have the small business owner uniqueness to them that no mass producer of ale has yet been able to capture. Twin City is a gem. Try it!

Stopped in Port Alberni for the night and decided to try out Twin City Brewing Company for dinner. We had their porter and their grapefruit radler to drink and we had the Bulggoi brisket sandwich and their Chicken and peanut sauce salad for supper. Everything was delicious and the staff were super friendly

I would pick zero stars. We had an extremely terrible first experience here today. It was 30 degrees celsius outside. We were a group of nine guests and there was a table inside that required one extra chair. The lady managing the bar said she would not serve a table that required an extra seat. So we tried to order a drink and find a different spot. She said only table service. We bought the drinks the people seated at the bigger table outside already had to be able to switch them for our table inside. We waited outside for a waitress for our table service. We went in twice to see if a waitress was coming. After 30 minutes we still didnt have any order taken. This was extremely embarrassing since I had recommended trying this spot to our party of guests. We will not be coming back here, we will not be drinking twin city beer at any establishment and will be passing along our unsavoury experience.

I sent this as a private message to comment about our lunch experience last week and received no response. I had family visiting from Nashville and was excited to show off a local spot. There were five of us, we sat on the patio. I really like that there is table service now. My son and his friend ordered a large pizza to share, my cousin and her husband ordered a large pizza to share, my husband ordered chicken wings and I ordered a personal Maui Wowie pizza. After enjoying our drinks, everyone s food arrived, except mine. Everyone at the table was eating for about 5-7 minutes while I had nothing. My husband finally got up and asked our server where my meal was. She came out a few minutes later and said that the kitchen had forgotten to make it. Not sure why she didn t realize that one of her table s orders was missing. I told her to forget it as the others were more than halfway through their meals. My lunch was one chicken wing and a slice of my cousin s pizza. Thankfully the portions are generous so they were able to share before a long hike. My item was taken off the bill but there was zero apology, neither from our server nor the manager. I still left a tip but was not impressed with the lack of apology for the mistake.

Great good and service

Wanted to like this place but none of the beers we tried (5 between the two of us) were tasty. The stout had a strong syrupy cola taste to it. My beatnik pizza was super greasy, which was surprising for a beet pizza! They do have a fun board games selection though

This place is a gem in Port Alberni. We have been there many times, and always the food is excellent, the beer (and other drinks) are excellent. The service is outstanding, always friendly, professional, knowledgeable. And we love that we can book a table online ahead of time.

This is a review about the service, 2 stars because the way you re treated is a big part of the overall experience. The lady that was helping us was very apathetic, disengaged, and didn t make any effort to check in with us in regards to our food and beverage. The beer was fantastic, and wurst pizza was the best!

This place absolutely blindsided me. Their craft beer and food are spectacular. If youre passing through town or if you live here do not pass this place over. The control freak IPA was very well balanced and very clean. The two pizzas we had were perfect and the brisket sandwich should be a national treasure.

Fantastic beer!

Went for the beer, will return for the food! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and chicken lettuce wraps and devoured it! We tried all of the beers on tap which was a fun tasting and decided on a few favourites. Cant wait to return when its a little warmer and sitting outside isnt quite as chilly (the overhead heating on the patio didnt seem to help us stay warm, bring a blanket!!)

They have a great selection of beers to choose from, and you cant go wrong with a beer flight. They also allow dogs when sitting outside which is a bonus. The staff have been great the two times I have been here and the food hits the spot.

Many moons ago, my wife and I stumbled upon this place, and were both big craft beer fanatics and pizza fanatics. We tried several of their brews including a really nice Brut IPA brewed with Hallertau hops that made it taste like it a white wine. We had a kim chee / date pizza that turned out amazing -- till this day, I use kim chee on my own pizzas. All in all, this is a place to check out if youre in town.

The ladies working provided outstanding service and made my friends and my lunch visit a fantastic experience. This is a lovely place for a quick beer and lunch before heading from Tofino to the Nanaimo ferry terminal.

Everything was fantastic, including our server! Had two beer flights, ordered the Gochujang Crispy Wings (as per our servers recommendation, which were amazing!) and pizza, which was half Gnarly Garlies , half Beaver Greeker . If you haven t been here this place is a must try!

Never had a hostess make it more apparent that we werent welcome somewhere. Two of us showed up at 8:30 for a quick drink before close and they all but told us to get lost.

The saving grace and Oasis of Port Alberni. Immediately drawn to their location as am abundance of pride flags were flying outdoors and inside everyone looked happy! Beer selection was exceptional with plenty of selection from in house taps and from around the island. The pretzel with hummus is still in my mind to this day. Twin cities amazed me and Im only remorseful I didnt snag any merch.

We had a excellent meal and beer at Twin City Brewing. As a omnivore with a vegan wife it was great to find place on our road trip we both liked. The kitchen was accommodating and made a great pizza with a beet walnut pesto for my wife and hot wings for me.

Twin City is a great stop for great grub and beer. Their pizza dough is chewy but crispy throughout, and perfectly seasoned. The gochujang wings had a nice kick to it, a pleasant twist on buffalo wings. Their beer pair well with the food, so come hungry and enjoy the heated patio.

Had a nice lunch here on the way to Ucluelet. Pizza was tasty. Crust was chewy and fresh. I enjoyed one of their nonalcoholic beverages that was quite nice. Our group enjoyed themselves and the friendly staff. Bonus, they have mix and match tall cans to go!

What a nice place to have have a pint and chat with friends. We had two nice waiter who took care of us. They were friendly and courteous. Their beers are good and so is the food. A nice place to stop by when you just need to relax and feel good in an unpretentious place.

This is a review of their food as I dont drink beer. Their main fair is pizza with a bit of pub fare thrown in, such as soft pretzels, hot dogs, and chartreuse board. We had the chartreuse board which had two pieces of toasted focaccia bread, olives, candy almonds, summer sausage, dipping sauces, pickles ,and a cream cheese bread. It was pretty good but needed more meat and bread. We also tried four different pizzas. I found the pepperoni to have way too much cheese, the beat pizza needed some balsamic added, the jerk chicken was pretty good, and the garlic pizza lacked any garlic flavour at all and the cheese they used just solidified and got hard right away. I honestly found most of their food lacking in flavour and it left a heavy feeling in the stomach. On the plus side they use compostable take away containers.

Had a good flight of beer, all of which, I enjoyed. Several employees checked in with us while we were there which made it seem like everyone was really invested in the quality of food and service.

We were passing through Port Alberni to make our way to Tofino, and decided to stop here for a quick snack and drinks before heading back on the road (responsibly, of course.) Okay, if youre going to get anything here, make sure its the pretzel. The pretzels changed my life. Im not the same person I was before I walked in there because of that pretzel with beer cheese. W O W. We sat on the patio, but ventured inside to get a growler for later. The vibe is great indoors, as well as outside, and the team was unbelievably friendly during our quick visit. I cant say enough great things please check out this spot if youre in town.

Even my friends who don t like beer have come to join me and have fallen in love w both the drink options and THE FOOD. Best spot to go have a couple pints and have great eats. My friends who don t like beer have tasted some of my flights and ended up getting a flight of their own. I m guessing they ve only had domesticated beer before and would usually finish their flight hehe. Love their options. They have multiple ciders as well & philips craft sodas if you don t drink alcohol. Love the pizzas, lettuce wraps, pretzels and hummus w house bread. My mom has been sober for 15 years and still takes my dad there for lunch because she looooves the peanut sauce on the lettuce wraps. Try it at least once! You won t be disappointed. Great service. Dine in, take out, delivery!!

I found this pub completely by accident, and fell in love with it immediately. Twin City is a fairly new brew pub in Port Alberni and its lovely in every way from the locally made beers (theres about a dozen different kinds!) to the scrumptious food (I strongly recommend the warm pretzel and the charcuterie board). The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant stafg follow proper pandemic precautions and wear appropriate PPE. Come to Twin City for a date, a drink with a friend, or even a family meal. Theres something for everyone here and I highly recommend Twin City to everyone.

Great beer! We had a the porter and the red while at the brewery, and a couple other kinds at local restaurants. All the beers were flavourful. The brewery spot has nice decor and a good vibe. The outdoor heated tents were a great addition for more capacity during winter and covid times. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pretzel was warm, crispy on the outside, chewy inside, and very tasty.
