Half a dozen donats with a free choice of different glazes for just $10. Incredibly versatile, tasty donats and super friendly service. On top of that there was a large coffee for $2.50. Absolute recommendation. It was great here.

Found The Donut Shop while the ship I was posted to was in Port Alberni. Most of the people I serve with told me about this awesome shop. Everytime Im in Port Alberni I get someone to pick me up some donuts or stop in myself if I can get away.

We stop here every time we are in town. Each donut is so flavourful. They have a flavour for everyone here including but not limited to: maple walnut, vanilla/chocolate sprinkles, salted caramel, mint Oreo, lemon glaze, coconut lemon glaze, and even root beer float. A quaint shop by a beautiful pier to walk on and eat your donut. Definitely recommend if you re on your way to Tofino

We got a half dozen- maple bacon, pineapple coconut, salty caramel, cinnamon sugar, maple walnut and almond almond- every flavour and every bites are delightful! Plus, the owner are extremely friendly and passionate! Highly recommended their donuts!

I was hesitant to believe the sign saying Best Donuts on Vancouver Island , but they did not disappoint. They re the most moist cake donuts I ve ever had. Highly recommend the salted caramel.

Excellent Apple Fritters some of the best I have had on the island.

If you love cake donuts you wont find better ones anywhere. Wow so fresh, soft, yummy. Not dry like so many. And friendly staff too. No wonder you see people walking out with boxes and boxes.

Outstanding donuts - best on the island. Super friendly staff and a gorgeous setting on the water to sit and munch. Great way to spend an afternoon or evening. Lots of selection - some classical favorites and some specialty; try the almond donut, or the root beer glazed!

Great customer service with cheerful servers. It was Halloween treat day and every cutomer/costumed treaters was met with enthusiasm and personal service. It was loud and happy for everyone. We sat in with a cup of tea and enjoyed watching the staff interact with everyone who came into their shop.

Love this place and stop whenever we re driving through. The owner is so friendly and the variety of delicious donuts is great. Price is right too!

Amazing little topped donuts in the town of Port Alberni in the Harbour Quay. Took a box into Victoria and shared them, stayed in great shape and were delicious.

I was pretty skeptical about their claim of having the best donuts on vancouver island, and was disappointed when they said they only have cake donuts, but I took one bite of my still warm caramel donut and then proceeded to inhale it and one other donut. Seriously one of the best donuts I ve ever had and not ridiculously priced like many new donut shops in Vancouver. Would make the drive from Parksville again just for this.

$1.40 for a donut. We could not believe how delicious and fresh they were. We loved the chocolate walnut. We are driving back through Port Alberni next week and are coming back for more. The best! What a gem!

Donut seller is son Dave who greets everyone with such a warm welcome that we had to go back the very next day & double our order. Best donuts on the island!!!

Located right by the pier. This mom and pop shop is local, friendly and fantastic. They only accept cash so make sure to come in with a sweet tooth and some cash. Definitely recommend.

Our family arrived a few minutes before they closed and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to purchase a dozen assorted donuts. We always go here while in Port Alberni and recommend you give it a try. Great service and great donuts.

The Rainbow Sprinkles and the Salted Caramel donuts are amazing (I mean, they all are). Id say its a long term staple to Port Albernis history and a must visit.

Can t drive through Port Alberni without a stop at The Donut Shop. So many yummy flavours to choose from it s hard to decide - especially when your favourite is sold out :0( I do LOVE peanut butter however!!!!! Did you know you can order ahead (before noon day if) and they will set them aside for you! LOVE IT!!! They are very flavourful and fresh! I highly recommend the stop!

Besides the classic menu items, we tried the mint oreo & lime coconut Freshly made, even better warmed Portions are just right size so you can try 2 different flavours without feeling too stuffed Fairly priced donuts & drinks Great service by the team! 10/10 stars! Worth every cent and the donuts are so cheap. $1.35 per donut and that s the price for every donut regardless of flavour. They do sell drinks but you come here for the donuts. The donut is more of a bready consistency and it s very fluffy. I will definitely come back here when I m on the island again!

I have lived in PA for 4.5 years and never tried The Donut Shop as I try to avoid sugary foods. I gave it a try today and OMG they are soooo delicious and fresh. I ended up eating two they were so good. I will be back at least once a week now. There goes my diet!

The donuts are always freshly made every day. There are soooo many toppings to choose from. Sometimes, I am lucky to get there when a fresh batch has been made. They are sooooo delicious!!

Fresh cake donuts. Fluffy and not greasy. Maple pecan was to die for, I went back ten minutes later for a second round. Owner was friendly and knew a lot about donuts. A customer filled me in with the history of the shop. Price point is unbeatable compared to big city donut shops. Add this to your list folks.
