Wendy's Frosty and chicken strips do the trick. Service depends on who you get. And we went through drive-thru so I'm not sure what the atmosphere is like.
I did delivery between 530pm and 616pm last night Received call at 6pm that order was here next message from driver couldn't find place so dropped order at a safe place and I had to go find it. I never heard anything further So my 38 dollar never arrived And I called Wendy's restaurant and they said they couldn't help me I had to call Wendy's office That was futile as there is no phone number for Wendy's office. Still haven't received order. My phone number is not something I wish to put on line so I will take to restaurant.
I'm not sure what Wendy's has done since I last ordered (very recent) but something drastic has been changed and it's not good. Half the burger menu is missing from door dash leaving very little options, couldn't order a Dave's anything. The order shows up and new wrapping and significantly lighter. The portions were a joke. The burgers had zero substance (which Wendy's has always been good for portion sizes) and very small and flimsy. Ridiculous amount of lettuce with a tomato slice bigger than the patty. Chicken nuggets were half the size. Whatever has changed its not good. Super disappointed with what Wendy's has done and will not order again.
I placed a mobile order at 10:05 for 2 breakfast items. The only option it gave me for a pickup time was 10:35 So I place my order payment goes through. When I go to pick it up they tell me breakfast ends st 10:30 and my order was never made. They simply tell me I can get something off the lunch menu or come back tomorrow morning. Someone is not doing their job and making the the mobile orders. They tried pinning the blame on me for being late when my order was placed well before breakfast time ends. I would avoid placing mobile orders here as they get put on the backburner and forgot about.
Not a very good experience every time I've gone into this establishment. The "manager" kaur a young girl isn't friendly at all not helpful and gives rude looks. Just overall not friendly and has no urgency to help customers.
Didn’t buy food. Used the washroom before ordering and found someone had urinated on and around the toilet. My girlfriend spoke with a front desk employee who did not acknowledge her or speak a word to her and instead spoke another language to the other employees. Employees were rude and gave my girlfriend attitude and dirty looks while waiting for me to finish in the tidier washroom. She felt uncomfortable enough to leave the restaurant. She explained what happened when I came outside to find her, we decided to support another restaurant nearby. Will not be returning.
The drive thru guy was rude and couldn't even u deratand him. The fries were shriveled up and dry. They didn't give any napkins for the messy chicken sandwich.
Went for the first time today and service was good. That's why i give one star. Ordered the grilled chicken caesar salad as the menu states it is made with romaine lettuce( as a caesar should be made) I get it home and it is made of a spring salad mix and is horrible. Very disappointing and a warning to other caesar lovers. When i called to tell them of the mix up they said it was standard and that's the way Wendy's makes them Now??? She said they changed it years ago. I don't think so!

we were heading towards tofino and had a quick stop at wendy s. this is the first in couple years that food was upto the mark. Really great service by Deep and also looking for cleanliness. All other locations should have this level of great services.
If I wanted cold food. I would have eaten the left over pizza in my fridge. Quality is going down fast with this local franchise. Probably last one I go there. Food
A bit of a guilty pleasure. This particular location is new and as such clean and fresh. Cant go wrong with the classis, single with cheese, spicy chicken or the JBC.. paired with a chilly and Im set.
Update 2024 Nothing much to add. Update May 26th So Ive tried about 3 ~4 times their burger offering over the past 6 months, the only thing consistent is that the bottom part of the bun will be swimming in grease. How they can not have adequately trained staff is beyond me. Ive eaten at all of the fast food chains in Port Alberni (Wendys, McDonalds, A&W, Dairy Queen, Burger King and can honestly say that Wendys is the absolute bottom of the barrel. Not one of the competitors is guilty of swimming the bottom of the bun in grease. Go elsewhere, your stomach will thank you. Tried their Daves Single Combo, completely disgusted - the bottom of the bun was swimming in grease! How anyone could think that it was a good idea to serve it to a paying customer is beyond me. And dont anyone try to tell me it was just juice from being cooked from fresh ground beef. I didnt just fall off the truck yesterday if you known what I mean. Tried their Bacon Cheddar Cheese Sauce Baked Potato. Pretty underwhelming to say the least, more cheese sauce than actual cheese. Kind of reminds me of buying nachos and cheese sauce from non profit fund raising groups, you know were you put up with sub par cause its going to a good cause in the community. Air blowers in the washroom for drying your hands???? Has Wendys had its head in the sand for the last 2+ years??? Have you learned nothing about COVID-19 since it turned into a global pandemic.
Friendly staff, and some really good deals on sometimes, 6 nuggets for 3.50 is not bad at all

Re counter service Staff makes eyes contact with customer at counter they turns around and runs away to the back of kitchen The manager is the instigator of this action She doesn t know how to treat customers And thus does not know how to or doesn t know how to train staff This manager should be replaced

I really do not care for fast food. Wendy;s is probably the best. Since this one has opened I have so much respect for these guys! The food is fresh and the service is impeccable. The staff is always so polite and wonderful! I can not praise them enough! Keep up the good work! BEST WENDYs EVER!!! Parking: Tons of parking, I would guess probably 30 spots?

Messed up order and dont have a phone number to call it in, the link to there website goes to some candy selling website called mungus. So to get a burger I have to drive there. Drive home. Drive there and home again. Or contact head office n blabla..

Welcome to Port Alberni Wendy s!! Stopped by today on opening day and received stellar service and product. Wendy herself delivered a piece of event cake to my car as I waited in line . Thanks again .... great job !!
I was very excited about Wendys opening in my home town, however, after visiting this location... I will have to go to Nanaimo to enjoy Wendys. The entire staff was running around like they had no idea what they were doing, the service was horrible and then the worst part of my experience came. I was given completely RAW burger patties, there was still blood dripping from the burger. This is completely unacceptable and I am very disappointed in the lack of care that has been shown from this Wendys location.
Nice to have another option in Port Alberni (even if it is fast food). Granted, I prefer Wendys over McDonalds any day. The aesthetic matches that of the newly renovated restaurant in Nanaimo. Its clean and tidy inside.

I was excited for Wendy s, finally a wendys!! Today my second visit, I order bacon deluxe. Wow how can you mess it up? But they did, it s like they gave me a child s burger bun. It was smaller then the pattie, could they cut the tomato any thicker? First bite the burger just fell apart. So disappointed oh and both visits I said no pickles . And I got pickles boo

Waited over half an hour inside and there were only 5 people in front of us. Finally got our order but they shorted us one of our fries. I ordered a spicy chicken burger that I had to open up to confirm there was even chicken on it because it was so small I couldn t see it. There was a dab of mayonnaise on top half, a soggy slice of tomato and a wilted piece of lettuce. Bottom bun was dry. Was the most pathetic excuse for a burger I ve ever seen. Other 3 meals were similar. Will never waste my time or money here again
Just left there 35 minutes inside for a cold burger and fries had to go up and ask and they had to find it lol
Wow! Just a waste of time and money. Please don t bother to go here It took 43 minutes to get my order ready. Go to Macdonald or DQ or A&W. They are quick and easy. Bad business

I walked in on a Friday afternoon at dinner, and walked out with my food 5 minutes later. Very happy with the timeframe after hearing many stories about the wait time. The food was quite tasty for fast food, and reasonably priced. Would recommend.
Yet another place that 1) pays attention to the drive-thru, very much to the detriment of the lobby or front counter, and 2) has a *LOT* to learn about efficiency.

Counter service was friendly. Muffed on the soft drink though. Then our order was given to someone else. Oh and no chocolate for the Frosties! Fries were laden with salt and inedible. Burgers were extremely greasy! To top it off their system was down so cash only, thankfully I had some, or I wouldnt have got my order.

We went to escape the heat and have a frosted malt. Well my malt melted faster than i could eat it. Turns out the A/C was not working above the tills nor in the eating area. The employees were sweating alot! I felt bad for them especially with a heat wave happening. Shame on management for not pushing to have it fixed asap! It was cooler outside than in the restaurant.
I love their salads!! The fries are good too. Now that it isnt so new the lineup doesnt seem to be as bad. Sure nice to have a Wendys!!

Im really impressed with how quickly the new staff here took to their positions and made the food here taste great. I was weary to start but have been back 3 or 4 times and each time has been great!
Always friendly encouters with the staff, Im a regular as I work at Noodlebox so Im in multiple times a week for a quick bite. Only ever had a mixup once and they quickly rectified the issue. Most of the management recognize me as well so its nice to have a friendly greeting :) keep up the good work guys!

Went to a wends for the first time in a while and while I commend them on the move to paper straws as a token to the environment the drink was still served in a plastic non compostable cup and lid ... cmon Dave you can do so much more to become a leader in environmental packaging .... up the ante and just do it
When someone orders a burger, and asks you to ADD something, that doesnt mean take the stuff off the burger already comes with! This has happened multiple times now.
