We were on our way back to Vancouver from a two-day visit to Tofino and were getting pretty hungry after a long, slow commute to Port Alberni. The whole two days there we ate nothing but North-American inspired food and my wife d had enough. As we approached Port Alberni, she found this restaurant online, described as the best Mexican food in town so, she put the coordinates into google maps and we headed toward it or so we thought. See, Google maps has this fantastic food truck on the opposite side of the road so be prepared to go on a round trip to nowhere if you happen to rely on Google Maps. The restaurant is actually a very nice food trailer, placed in the parking area of the Clutesi Boat ramp/launch. Conveniently, there is plenty of parking and there is also dessert near by. The restaurant has several outdoor picnic tables (shared) on which to sit. We were lucky and the weather was warm enough and the scenery, pretty enough to be enjoyable. This space is pet-friendly as well. The hostess/Chef, Liliana hails from Mexico and cooks delicious food! I too am Mexican and so, have experienced authentic Mexican food on par with Liliana s. My wife ordered the Tortilla soup. Its taste was as authentic as the one my Mum used to make. Lots of tortilla in it. It did not come, however, with the usual condiments for Tortilla soup (diced onion, a bit of cilantro and some lime). I may have been able to ask for some but didn t explore the option as we were hungry! I do have to say, that the size of the soup, left a bit of a bitter taste in my wallet. We expected something larger for the price. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and it too was delicious! A chimichanga is basically a deep-fried burrito; and, as we all know, just about everything tastes better deep-fried! This chimichanga is no different. It was perfectly fried. The tortilla was a golden brown, with crispy edges but soft underbelly, making it easy to pick up and chew. Flavours were on point. The lettuce was still cool and crispy, dare I say even refreshing? A nice little morsel of freshness in a deliciously oily dish. Lastly, and in my opinion, the best of the things we ordered, were the Tostadas. We ordered a chicken and a beef tostada. The tortillas were a golden brown and tasted fresh, the beans and meats also very flavourful and fresh. The condiments, lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese deliciously fresh and scrumptious! I have not had better tostadas in Canada. The only place that approximates Liliana s tostada wizardry is Tacos Tecalitlán in Burlington, WA. Even then, she actually makes hers with two beautifully toasted tortillas, upping the game just that much. We did consider getting tacos as they looked great (others ordered before us) however, to me +$8/taco is just too much. Enough money talk though, we re here to talk about the food! Yes, everything we ordered was worth it. I ll leave it up to you to decide how much your meal is worth. We will go back to Emiliano s on our next trip to Tofino - for sure! Hope you get to enjoy Liliana s food on your trip out there too. Vegetarian options: They have veggie tacos and burritos, maybe more Parking: Might be more difficult to park during the peak of boating season Kid-friendliness: Lots of green spaces for kids to run around. Nice, clean restrooms nearby too. Wheelchair accessibility: Restrooms and picnic areas are wheelchair accessible, not sure about the ordering platform. I m sure the staff will be able to accommodate wheelchair-bound customers.

Stopped by this food truck yesterday. Put it this way, when my wife and I woke up this morning, we agreed that we couldn t stop thinking about the amazing food and that we will be going there for dinner again tonight. The best beef burrito I ve ever had. My wife had the fish tacos and she said they brought her right back to the authentic fish tacos she had in Todos Santos. Incredible service, too. A wonderful woman served us, and I cannot emphasize enough how good the food is here.

In Port Alberni we have a lot of different Mexican food options. However, this is one of the most authentic of all of them. I absolutely loved their burritos, and the service was great too. Glad to have this awesome food truck in our community

If you are looking for true, authentic regional Mexican food, you must try Emilianos! Absolutely amazingly delicious!!! It doesnt matter what you try, its all good. My favourites include beef burrito and fish tacos. The owner is such a friendly, kind lady - Gracias Senora!

Probably the best tacos from Nanaimo to Tofino. So flavorful and fresh.

Refreshing, delicious and very friendly! We got to enjoy our food in the sun at the picnic tables :) We have found our new favourite Mexican food place! We will most certainly be back!

Stopped here on the way home from Tofino, its super convenient with lots of parking. The owner was a delight, so friendly. The food came out in a timely matter and was delicious! I had the chicken burrito with guacamole and hot sauce and it was huge and fresh. Will definitely be stopping here again. Parking: Its in the marina parking lot so theres lots of room, even if you are towing a trailer etc.

This food truck has one of the best tacos and quesadillas I ve had!! Love this food truck and the vibe around.. you could actually enjoy sitting in the park around the harbour.. A must stop on the way Kid-friendliness: Nice benches all around the park near the harbour

The beef burritos were so good we went back and tried the fish and chicken tacos! Everything was so fresh and the service was amazing. Best guacamole we have ever had! We will definitely be back next time were in Port Alberni :)

Very expensive for what you get even considering our current food increases, three, less than 6 flour tortillas (no corn option), decent amount of toppings. Great fish taco, the beef was tough and lacked flavour. Lady was alone so service was very slow, way slower than a food truck should he.

Nice Mexican food

Super friendly and polite service. The food was awesome and delicious. I had the chimichangas. I thought it was pricey at first but was pleasantly surprised at how delicious and big it was. I was able to split it with my wife. Their homemade hot sauce it super-hot and super-good! Its not on the menu but worth asking for. Vegetarian options: All their dishes have a veggie option if youre not a meat eater. Dietary restrictions: Its well posted on their menu to mention any allergies you may have. Then again its always the dinners responsibility to make sure, whether not the menu has a reminder.

This place is sooo good. Stopped here for a quick bite driving from Tofino. I had the chicken burrito. They also do GF and have washrooms and their friends have a mini donuts and coffee food truck. Don t go to Mac Donald s try some real food

Today I landed on the island from Alberta to have a vacation with my sister. As we drove to Ucluelet, we passed thru Port Alberni. I was hungry but didnt see anything appealing until Emilianos caught my eye. Its not always easy vegan food on the road. Not only was I able to have a vegan burrito, it was the best burrito Ive ever had! The salsa Verde was amazing and the homemade hot sauce. The rice and beans seemed to have an almost bbq flavor. Whatever it was, it was delicious! I was the only customer at the time and had a lovely chat with the owner. Im afraid nothing else will measure up to this burrito! *Update** A year has gone by and again, I find myself on the coast with my sister. I knew that Emilianos was going to be my food stop on the way to Ucluelet. I used to facilitate workshops on customer service, so I am always impressed when I experience excellent customer service. Its as important to me as the food is. When we got to the truck, Lilliana remembered me from last year!! She even remembered what I ordered! What a lovely and gracious lady, and it made it even sweeter to order this most delicious food, and chat again. The food is top notch and the service too. Im not sure if I get to come back next year, but if I do, this will be my first taste of holidays.

Forget about the taco scene in Victoria/Tofino/Vancouver. Emilianos takes the when it comes to fish tacos. You wont be disappointed!

FRESH. DELICIOUS. AMAZING!!! Would give more stars if I could. Go find this truck!!! For those rating low stars complaining about allergies... theres literally a big sign right on the menu asking you to inform them of any allergies before ordering...

Went to Emilianos yesterday on our way out of town and I ordered a GF vegan taco. Ok, let me tell you, it was INCREDIBLE. The taste was fantastic, the texture was spot on, and the amount of different types of flavors was literally perfect. 10 out of 10!!! I appreciate good, thoughtful, artistically created food and they nailed it!!! We will be back!!!

Best tacos and Mexican food in Port Alberni, which all Mexican restaurants have amazing food in town. Everyone has to try Emilianos, its a taste from heaven, especially the fish tacos.

Ordered the Three Tacos, also had chips & Pico de Gallo! Fresh ingredients, excellent service, and awesome Tacos! Oh and just over $20.00 great value!

Have been here a couple times and loved it. Have had tacos and a burrito. Both have been quite tasty. I ran into the owner shopping at Quality Foods and I have to say its pretty awesome when you see a restaurant /food truck owner shopping locally paying more for local quality produce and meats instead of using the food distribution system or shopping at Walmart etc.

Allergy sufferers BEWARE!! Posted menu is woefully inadequate. No ingredients listed anywhere! And if you slip up, and forget to mention a serious allergy to any of the many unlisted components WATCH OUT - NO REFUND and they will NOT remake your order. Be warned - I lost $13 plus tax on wasted food that I am incapable of safely eating!

No option for zero stars, which I would give. Have allergies? Skip this spot. I ordered fish tacos, they unknowingly came with pineapple, which I am allergic to. I take them back, and the lady was super unaccommodating and told me it was my fault for not noting in advance. It was not included on the menu and they didnt ask, I didnt think to tell in this case. I take my share of responsibility, but the owner did not handle this well and was rude. They wouldnt remake or offer an alternative. So I had to leave my ridiculously expensive untouched tacos at the counter. Hopefully my $16 mistake will save you yours in the future. An unfortunate situation that could have been way better handled by the owner. We wont be back.

A mouth water experience. This place is amazing. I was allowed to eathere as is everybody which is key eating out. Zero discrimination. The fish tacos are perfect. Burritos are huge, enough for one person. They even had pecan wedding cookies, sounds like a strain from california. Lol great food and friendly service. Would return for sure.
