Really enjoyed the food. Mashed potatoes had a lot of flavour, and all the pasta dishes looked really appetizing as well. I think the cordon bleu could have used more savory flavour. It was good, but maybe stronger cheese or saltier ham would make it amazing.
Excellent food, friendly service, lotsa parking, their potato croquettes are the best. You don’t have to play at the casino to eat here.
The food was absolutely delicious, mouthwatering. I would highly recommend the chicken cordon bleu, absolutely a masterpiece. (Get the mashed potatoes though, if you get the roasted potatoes, you get like 4 or 5 tiny potatoes. The mashed potatoes are delicious and a much bigger portion for the same price.) The thing is though, the service was SO slow. I was there with my partner (I had made reservations) we had to wait probably 15 minutes just to be seated both times we were there. When we got sat down the first time we were there, first we were asked if one of us were 19, and we were hounded a little about it, even though it's a known fact that it's only the casino and alcohol you need to be 19 for, it even started that on the radio. It took the waitress upwards of 30 minutes to get back to our table when we said we just needed a couple of minutes more to decide what we wanted. We got checked on a total of once, for the waitress mid bite to ask me if I was still working on my food or if I needed a to go box, while I had the fork in my mouth mind you, and my partner said that they were done with their food and she could take their plate, the waitress had already walked off, didn't bother with my partner. We literally had to ask for our waters to be filled after waiting another 10 minutes. And then when we finally wanted the bill, we had to wait another 30 minutes while it appeared the waitress was doing who knows what at the counter, wasn't busy with customers, nothing. Second time we went, the last time we will go, same waiting situation, except we didn't want to wait an extra 30 minutes so we decided really quickly what we wanted. The 2nd time (a different one this time) the waitress did come to give us water a couple of times, but we waited an entire hour for our food. The waitress did give us a free cheesecake for our wait though which was cool, so the 2nd experience wasn't bad and not all of the wait staff is bad, just be prepared to wait a LONG time.
Dissapointed! Such a nice setting and classy restaurant! Most food is deep fried thou and potatoes taste like powdered. The word upcharge was mentioned like 5 times while we ordered unfortunately, what a way to set the atmosphere wrong. Can you believe there is an upcharge from roasted potatoes to croquet potatoes , they are still potatoes? I would like to suggest dropping the upcharges as they make no sense and set a bad tone for a classy place!
It's all about that Prime Rib dinner... Yes there are other items on the menu but why would you when you can get a giant Alberta sized portion of Prime Rib???!! 🤤🍖 The Yorkshire puddings are stupendous!

Love the food!! The Purple Haze drink is sooooo yummy. The cheese cake is sooo delicious. I am not sure what the tent thing with a stage like area is for or how it ties in with the other decor but it is a good conversation piece. You can now bring your whole family.
Located inside Chances RimRock Casino. I had the Chicken Parm $15.95. Moderate menu prices. Pretty good menu options. Probably one of the best restaurants, Port Alberni has to offer.

We got the Brussel sprouts as a starter... My goodness, I cant tell you how heavenly those were; who would think pecans and maple syrup go on Brussel sprouts? Food didnt take too long at all, drinks were quick and good. The burger was great and my wife loved her salad. If I had to find one complaint, the bun was a touch small for the burger, but thats really the only complaint Id have. Seriously though, those Brussel sprouts...

The restaurant was recommended, Hmm? Not so good. Had the special, some chicken dish with prawns and what was suppose to be a lobster sauce, $28. Whatever chicken they are using has to have been processed(or cooked) and then frozen. Then just warmed up, mine was cold. The roasted potatoes were warm but dry. The veggies were cold as well. I always hate to complain but I had to. Waitress was very forward towards me which made me feel awkward, like it was my fault I didnt complain earlier. Finally she offered me a new chicken breast, I so badly wanted to say no but my husband said sure bring her a new one. I ate around the outside. Wont be eating there again. Wasnt compensated, no tip.

Stopped for lunch on our way through to Tofino. We had our thirteen year old with us, the manager offered the private dining room, banquet area, if we would like it as the restaurant didn t allow minors. We accepted and are sure glad we did. The food and service for our private dining were excellent!
