Came here on the referral of another cafe whose kitchen unfortunately was closed for the day. Their loss was our gain. What a gem of a place Broken Bow is. Absolutely wonderful friendly service, many interesting dishes offered on the menu and the meals we had were just the best! Fresh and beautifully cooked. Recommend the fried chicken with waffles and the eggs Benny bowl! Superb! Glad we found this place on our travels.
The local MLA Josie Osborne recommended this place to me when I visit and holy cow is it delicious. Staff were kind. Food was absolutely perfect in every way. I'm coming back with my partner!!
Fantastic food! Such creative combinations for breakfast/ brunch! I had waffle Benny which consisted of a large waffle, nice and crisp, not just warmed up… perfectly done poached eggs, 2 slices bacon, arugula and must’ve been homemade Hollandaise as it was delicious!! Asked for a little taste of their spruce tips cream cheese.. very different taste but liked it! Staff lovely, pleasant and accommodating. Decor somewhat plain but has local art on walls for sale.
I have lived in Port Alberni my whole life and this is hands down my favourite restaurant here. The food is phenomenal and the staff always have smiles on their face. The resteraunt itself is so adorable and such a bright atmosphere. Absolutely love the breakfast and come here every chance we get. Just went for dinner and it was just as amazing😊 We tell everyone we know to head here for an amazing meal
So good!! The food is so amazing, all fresh, homemade goodness in every bite. If you are looking for quality, healthy food choices you are going to be pleased here, everything is gluten free, so no worries for those of you who struggle. They have just increased their seating and have expanded!!!! The decor is really tasteful with a bit of coastal flare. There is beautiful art displayed on the walls, of local artists, for sale too. So beautiful!! What great addition to Port Alberni.
Went for breakfast it was amazing! My mom loved her cappuccino ( drink in hand) and I loved my london fog tea! (Closest drink) Food was fresh and well cooked we both got the eggs Benny my mother had bacon and I had the chorizo 🤤 The wait staff was attentive and so kind can't wait to go back!
Everything was fantastic!! Definitely worth a stop if you're passing through Port Alberni. I like that the menu has both healthy and hearty options. The chicken and waffles were exquisite and the bennies looked great as well. Had their minestrone soup and a smoothie as well - best minestrone I've had in years. Great drink options as well, they have good coffee and stock great teas. The restaurant is charming, modern and clean and service was excellent.
Went for lunch in between races of our son’s track meet. Small place with a nice atmosphere. My son had the smoothie bowl, it looked beautiful and he said it tasted delicious. My wife had an oat bowl and she loved it, she even looked up how to make it herself. I had the huevos rancheros, which was de-fricken-licious. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. It looks like they might be expanding, which they should because more people need to try this food. Home-made goodness, yum.

The service here was so kind. I was going through it and the server was so understanding and helpful. Breakfast bowl was delicious and the latte was velvet.
Oh. My. Goodness. The ultimate hidden gem in Port Alberni. How do they make their potatoes so crispy on the outside but so pillows soft on the inside? Weve never had English muffins that were so soft and fluffy, almost like pancakes. Wonderful hollandaise and poached eggs cooked to perfection. We loved the warm and welcoming service as well. Will definitely return!

Our food was delicious and the setting was lovely. Theres curated art on the walls and service is super friendly. My West Coast Benedict with smoked salmon was delicious and their London fogs were artfully crafted

This restaurant is an instant hit! My favorite place for breakfast, and the Bennie s are to die for!. The burgers on Friday nights are amazing. But it s the little things they do, the interlocking toast, the oranges made into flowers for your drink, and the slight spin offs they do for cocktails, which gives it this charm that no one else has. A Must try for everyone!

Great spot for breakfast! Savannah, our server was super friendly. The cooks did an AMAZING job on the eggs Benedict and may have ruined me from being able to enjoy bennies at other places.

I had the classics eggs Benny with bacon and potatos and an iced caramel latte, and this was such a good meal! Left with a fully and happy belly!
We had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and the chicken and waffles. The real winner is the chicken and waffle with bacon. The flavors come together perfectly. Service was great and coffee was very good.

We tried several dishes and all of them were amazing. Most importantly, it was great for our 2 celiac family members to just relax and get to enjoy a full gluten free menu for once. Absolutely 10/10, hands down my favourite spot for brunch. They re completely gluten free and have loads of Vegan options! My absolute go to s are the Vegan huevos and the vegan waffle sooooooo addictive and delicious. The staff are super lovely and the art work is hard to look away from. The tempeh bowl is fabulous! Rich in flavours and a good size. The service was a bit slow but may have been my order as other tables came faster. Place was busy but service was warm and welcoming.

Lovely restaurant, my standards are high and this is hands down the best breakfast in Port Alberni! Personally LOVE the huevos, the breakfast bun is also super delicious :) Vegetarian options: Great veggie options, vegan is less but there are options Dietary restrictions: I believe most everything on their menu is gluten free Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs, and the waffle pops (ie waffles on a popsicle stick) are a winning choice

Amazing food, terrific coffee and great location. Nice clean establishment is a welcome addition to Alberni. Best chicken and waffles I ve ever had. Wonderful fresh ingredients. Only issue is not having enough room in my stomach or order the whole menu every time!

This restaurant is a gem! The food is exceptional and service is top notch. Everything is delicious but I enjoyed the eggs benny so much I went back the next day and ordered it a second time! I shared a side of fried chicken with my breakfast mate and words cant describe how tender, juicy and well seasoned it was. You can tell fresh quality ingredients are a priority. Im excited to visit again when they expand the menu from brunch. If youre in the area you must support this local restaurant! Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten free!

Can t wait to try other menu selections, but huevos rancheros were best I ve had. The coffee, cappuccino, was superb! Tried the Benny today and Hollandaise was delicious. The bacon in the Benny was well done and thick. They had bibimbap special , and tortilla soup today, but I happily satiated after my Benny.

Wonderful little gem with incredible food. This place would be the perfect breakfast/ brunch spot if they upped their coffee game. I asked for a cappuccino and was looked at like I was an alien. After much conversation between staff they finally came back with a no. The waffle Benny was so good!
