Wildflower Bakeshop & Café offers a wide variety of all the comfort classics. Our menu is deeply tied to our local farmers; showcasing fresh, seasonal, and organic produce and meats. It is complemented with specialty coffees, classic cocktails, and a selection of local beers and natural wines. For the sweet tooth, our pastry case is filled with a variety of laminated pastries and donuts, as well as organic sourdough breads, made from scratch in house daily. We also offer a variety of custom orders and catering options, as well as retail goods. Takeout and curbside pick up options are available, as well as seating either inside our cozy dining room or in our garden patio for both lunch and dinner.
Beautiful little spot with a nice patio. Food was delicious, and the coffee was very good. We had a couple pizzas, tuna bown and the brisket biscuit during brunch. It was all delicious and well presented. A very beautiful space with a great vibe
A lovely cafe with a cozy feel. The garden-like outdoor terrace is so beautiful that it will relieve your daily fatigue, and the delicious food and warm, sweet drinks will make you happy. If you visit Port Alberni Harbor, I recommend you to visit. It's a really nice cafe with friendly staff, and even a lovely bathroom.
Wildflower Café was everything I hoped for in a café and even surprised me in some aspects. Most cafés I have been to require you to go up to the counter and order and then you receive your beverage/food. But this is different and you can actually get table service if you're dining in. During my dine in, I ordered a Spicy Tuna Bowl. It was very good and spicy. I also ordered a Mocha and it was very rich and tasty. The servers were lovely and very kind and overall just amazing people! For dog owners (unless you have a service dog), dogs are not allowed inside this place but they are allowed on the patio. There is also a washroom here if needed that is accessible to wheelchair users or anyone with a mobility aid. The inside of Wildflower Café was also very cozy and calming. They have plants hanging and the natural light coming in and it's lovely. They also have things for sale here like, Westholme Tea from the Cowichan Valley and Drumroaster Coffee from Cobble Hill. They also things such as a, Pour Over Coffee Maker and a Tea Pot with an Infuser.
I want to say that I heard about this place from one of the many blogs online when I was trying to find a rest stop on our way back from Ukee to the ferry port in Nanaimo. Thank you to the anonymous blogger for the suggestion. This cafe was great and I always appreciate a city with free parking nearby. Great place for a quick stop!
This place is something special! Service was spot on. Food was crazy good. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. If we lived in Port Alberni, we’d be eating here a lot! The only issue I had, was the brisket was a little tough. Had to eat it separately instead of in the sandwich. Whether you live here or are just passing through, please check this place out!
Very nice place to stop by to have some food and drinks. We stopped by on our tour twice simply because we had such a great experience. This place has a great atmosphere, nice music, lovely people and delicious food! We highly recommend this place.. and if you need some bread for dinner at home, stop by in the book store right on the other side of the street .. they offer great self-baked bread.
My partner and I stopped here to get a quick bite to eat. The place was busy so it took a longer than we hoped. My partner ordered a latte which was okay. The pasteries were yummy, we ordered 2 chocolate crossiants which were good but they were covered in cinnamon.
My wife and I had the pleasure of stopping by the Wildflower Cafe on our way to Tofino, and what a delightful experience it was! The owners, who are also chefs, greeted us with such warmth and politeness that we felt right at home. They shared their story of starting the cafe a few years back, and their passion for what they do was truly inspiring. While we didn’t get a chance to try the pastries, which looked absolutely delicious, the extensive kitchen space hinted at the endless culinary possibilities they could offer. The vibe of the place was just right – cozy and welcoming. It’s always a treat to connect with owners who love to share their journey. Can’t wait to return and sample more of what the Wildflower Cafe has to offer. Highly recommend a visit!
Great place, great food, great people.
Cute coffee shop, friendly service, yummy pastries and lattes, great patio
Fantastic pastries.
Cozy, beautiful space
Best coffee and pastries in town. Use La Marzocco.
I had to give wildflower 5 Stars. From the food, to the service and the beautifully appointed and smelling washroom I cant think of one thing that didnt totally impress me. . The manager who served me was the perfect gracious host from the seating to the payment and God bye. If you dont of you are not from Port Alberni and you dont have a reason to come here.... well now you do!
A really nice place, the pastries are absolutely excellent! The staff is very smiling and welcoming. This place is definitely worth a stop on your route!
Vegan pizza is awesome
Got coffee, I think this was one of the worst coffees in Canada. Tasted as if made with sour milk. When you then watch the barista pour the just heated unused milk back into the 4L milk container for the next coffee you know something isn t going to be good
I highly recommend the cremuffin.
Arrive after 10am if you want yummy brunch. Hana s energy is so welcoming.
Loved the almond croissant!
Truly excellent! 10/10
It was a cozy place I had hibiscus fizz. It was okay-ish but love the vibe.
Fantastic. Great coffee, delicious food, friendly service
Great chicken burger and crispy chips
Cute but expensive. Coffee tasted sour, and I suspect they might be using light roast that s just not brewed at the right temp, very regrettable cappuccino. Pastries were good.
Disappointing food and overpriced, bugs in the pastry display case. Minimal menu. More drinks than food.
Nice coffee cafe. Food and drinks were fine, the music was too loud.
Loved this place! The bread was delicious and fresh and the staff were friendly & up beat! Also lovely space and the bathroom was super clean!
Quaint coffee shop bistro that is quite unassuming The coffee is excellent. We had a cappuccino and a drip coffee. Small inside but cozy. Outside has two separate patio areas
Stopped on our way to Tofino and had to come back on our way back!
Amazing tea, pastries, and food! And great service.
Very cute local and flowery atmosphere with friendly service. Food was epic - fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
We stopped by the other day for lunch. We walked into the outdoor patio area and stood by the Please Wait to be Seated sign. It wasn t particularly busy but the hostess walked by a couple of times without acknowledgement. I finally went inside and was told to sit anywhere. The waitress was lovely and took our order within 5 minutes. We then proceeded to wait over 45 minutes for 2 BLTs. There was no one seated inside so I m not sure why it was so slow. The sandwiches and homemade chips were delicious but I m not sure I d return given how slow the service was.
Very nice cafe. Super tasty veggie pizza and a scone. Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian dishes
Great place with fresh quality food
We stopped here spontaneously and were totally thrilled. We ordered across the menu and everything was simply delicious. Thanks so much!
Amazing vibe, very amazing food.
Don t often write reviews but this cafe was just what we were looking for. Lovely coffee and friendly service in a smart and clean cafe.
Great place. Excellent coffee and pastries.
Delicious food! Best pastries Ive had.
Hands down, the best BLT me and my friends have ever had. Well worth the visit, will absolutely be back!
Great food, wonderful people, and a fun vibe! They have good portions and great service!!
A great cozy place for a warm drink on a cloudy rainy day.
The brisket croissant is to die for!!! Half sweet matcha latte was also delicious. Highly recommend stopping at this cute little spot!
Vegetarian options: The vegan pizza is amazing!! Food
The best pastries on Vancouver Island! I love everything about wildflower, the staff, the exceptional food, and the atmosphere!
Incredible bakery, better than any we had near our place in Vancouver. This town is lucky to have such a high quality shop.
So delicious! Everything is house-made. We had lunch with the poke bowl, BLT, brisket sandwich and chicken sandwich and yummy yummy desserts. The chicken sandwich was the best I ve EVER had. Service was fast and friendly. Thanks!
Cute cafe with outdoor seating and food is amazing!
The food was fresh and delicious, the staff was great, I wish I could have tried all of their pastries. This place is great for just a coffee and snack or a whole meal.
Fantastic cafe on our drive from Parksville to Tofino. Great food and coffee and friendly staff.
WILDFLOWER CAFE!!!!! If you havent been you are missing out on one of the most precious hidden gems of a cafe on this whole island!!! I had the French toast and my Dad had the beet salad. Both were stunning masterpieces to say the least! The French toast is the most unique and delicious Ive ever tasted. Lots of topping and moist is all the right ways. The beet salad actually had tons of soft succulent beets like it should with arugula to cushion the plethora of beets. We cant wait to go back on our way home from Tofino. The service was on par with the exceptional food and the ambiance is straight off a big city Instagram Cafe page. Thanks Wildflower Cafe for bringing so much goodness to Port Alberni
The pizza is authentic and delicious. Great coffee every time.
Great little coffee shop. Coming from Australia getting coffee like we are used to can be tricky. This cafe had the best coffee and was very appreciated, lovely staff. Thankyou
Kind of a little bit of strong coffee. I prefer it. Would enjoy walking with this coffee and baked sweets.
Great breakfast! I had the brisket biscuit - the brisket was so good! My husband had the blueberry French toast - yum!
Stopped in for lunch and so glad we did. Super cute place, warm friendly welcome and amazing food. We had the fried chicken sandwich and the BLT, most amazing sandwiches we have had in ages. The bread was outstanding and the home made chips finished it all off nicely. We both left full but also took one of their excellent coffees to go. Definitely stop in here if you are in Port Alberni.
Best French toast in the world!
Such a great spot!! Would recommend if you re passing through town:) The food & drinks were wonderful, and the service was excellent - staff was very personable!
Wildflower Cafe has delivered an extraordinary culinary experience that I have been searching for far and wide over the years. Their Almond Croissant is nothing short of perfection. Its wonderfully large, generously filled with a rich almond paste, and perfectly baked to a delightful crispness on the outside while remaining tender and flaky inside. From the moment I took my first bite, I knew this was the croissant I had been dreaming of. The balance of sweetness and texture is impeccable, making each bite an absolute delight. It s evident that Wildflower Cafe puts a great deal of care and craftsmanship into their baking. The Almond Croissant alone is worth the drive from Tofino to Port Alberni. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone in search of the perfect pastry. Five stars, without a doubt!
I rarely get the opportunity to get out and enjoy this cafe but when I do, it does not disappoint. I have Celiac and so there are not a ton of options on the menu but the staff is very knowledgable of dietary restrictions and they are always ready to accommodate. I would recommend the Spicy Tuna Bowl, its fresh & so yummy. The beverage options are great, service is pleasant and the atmosphere is on point. Beautiful outdoor patio seating and a warm welcome inside. Highly recommend.
Cutest little cafe! really friendly staff and had the best blueberry lemon cruffin. No photo cause it was so good I forgot to take a pic but heres a pic of the Chai latte I ordered :)
A delightful little cafe with lovely staff and delicious food - really great find!
Best coffee since arriving on the island. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, & happy to adapt the menu for a vegan like me.
Cappuccino was Brisket breakfast sandwich was good but gotta use a fork and knife as it crumbles easily. Very tasty! Food
Stood in line for 15 min no one even looked up.
Came here because of a suggestion from a local and it exceeded my expectations. Everything was so good, very cool spot, and everyone was so friendly! 11/10!!
Everything was amazing up to including the food, the staff, and the outdoor patio area that we ate at. By far the best French toast and the squash soup was delicious!
Stopped here on our way to Tofino. What a sweet cafe/ bakery I love finding great small businesses in rural communities. We had coffee, matcha latte w/ oat milk, brisket biscuit, and a slice of vegan pizza everything was 10/10 delicious! Highly recommend visiting this little gem. Vegetarian options: Vegan options Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free options
Damn good. Came for the coffee and baking, which are great. But I would drive to Port Alberni monthly just to order the fried chicken sandwich, which was the best I have had in my entire life. Sit inside or outside on the patio and enjoy. This place is a real gem!
Hello, I am a retired Austrian chef Wildflower Bakery is a MUST stop for all who are looking for exceptional great food and baked goods, old world athmosphere and very friendly and polite staff. I highly recommend to all European tourists -on the way to Tofino- to take the extra mile to stock up with their sourdough bread. You will not regret and you wont find anything like this anywhere on Vancouver Island.
Cute cafe that isnt open too long in the day, so make sure you go early! Free wifi, dog friendly covered patio. We had a pizza and beer and really enjoyed everything
It is a place that should not be missed when you are in the area! The coffee is of high quality, the location is convenient, and the pastries are delicious!
Wildflower Café is one of those rare places that does it ALL really well. From their amazing Matcha lattes to the best beet salads, technical and beautiful baking and incredible service. Mom hangs here are stroller friendly and made to feel welcome. We are always full and happy leaving this great place. Grateful they are committed in the Port Alberni community!
This was my second time eating here and it was as good as I remembered. I had the brisket biscuit. Perfect portion and the potatoes were smashed and fried, crispy and light. Since it was brunch I had their hibiscus gin fizz. Super tasty. Ill be back next time I find myself in Port Alberni!
Absolutely lovely spot to enjoy brunch, lunch, coffee. Their Pastel de Natas are phenomenal, like all the other food and drinks honestly. Will definitely come back
Amazing coffee, bread and pastries. Great patio too
Great place, lovely ambience, gezellig And that Portuguese custard desert, wow :-) Food : 5/5 |
A gem of a place with good cappuccino and the pastries were delicious.
Ordered extra hot and it was barely hot.
What a sweet little hidden gem! We are so glad we found a place like this in the area. Great tasting fresh made food. The daily soup and grilled cheese was amazing, the winter salad was fabulous and the chicken sandwich was excellent. We grabbed matchas to go and a sweet treat, which were also great. The service was friendly and efficient. A definite go to when passing through town!
Everything about Wildflower is intentional. No detail is left behind, from the hashbrowns to the biscuit on my sandwich. Visiting Wildflower is a must. This is my partner Hooch, he had the croissant waffle.
The egg muffin and hash brown were the best I ever had! And that tomato relish on the egg sandwich was amazing!
Not to be dramatic but the croissant French toast is the most delicious thing I have ever, or will ever eat.
This place is insane. I had the best fried chicken sandwiches of my life and CROISSANT FRENCH TOAST!
Great outside area. Food was delicious
On our way through town we stopped in for some coffee and snacks. The breakfast bun was delicious, moist and flavorful. The cappuccino was the perfect balance of sweet and frothy with a super tasty coffee.
What a gem! This place is gorgeous, has a great vibe, and had delicious food! Definitely will be back!
Great food and a really nice patio, but food prices are pretty steep for what amounts to brunch fare. Having said that, food is very tasty and there is a great selection
My favourite café / brunch spot on the island! My friends and I love coming here for the cocktails, brioche donuts, daily soups, and most importantly the amazing owners and staff who are always so kind and accommodating to us!!
Definitely worth stopping here! Friendly staff. We were blown away by how delicious the food tasted- all made in house. Matcha latte was a great choice, would pass on the Ceasar though, it tasted more like a Bloody Mary. They have decorated it so cute, limited indoor seating, however plenty of outdoor seating for warmer days.
Amazing food & service.
Delicious coffee and baked goods. Uncomfortable seating. Food
This place is absolute perfection: the service, the quality of the food, drinks and baked goods, and the atmosphere. You can tell it s a labour of love: best blt of my life, one of the best soups, best brownie, perfect matcha. A must stop in port alberni
The cutest little cafe. Staff were so friendly and thoughtful. Their baked goods and pizza were exceptional. The coffee and tea was exquisite! 10/10 will be visiting again - love the vibe.
Beautiful interior and great service. Good spot to grab a coffee and even brunch if you have time :)
Excellent, worth a detour! Had a fantastic lunch on the way back to Victoria. Phenomenal sandwiches and delicious baked goods.
Simply divine
A hidden gem. The menu items are pricey but reflect the amazing quality. The food and drink practically melt in your mouth. Kudos. This is a great spot.
Egg noggin brioche and Carmelita so good
Wildflower has been mine and my partners fav spot in town. The staff are always so friendly, and the overall atmosphere is always so welcoming & warm. We re gunna miss this place when we move but will absolutely be back!
Baked goods are next level! Fresh, flavourful and fantastic. Service is top notch. A must visit when stopping in Port Alberni
Amazing food and staff
Omg best place ever. Yes the place is super cute, the music is fantastic and the crew is super nice. The coffee is great. But the pastries???? To DIE for. Almost cry because it was just that good. Definitely worth a detour even. Chefs kiss
Flat white and pastry in the sunshine this morning - what a lovely place!
Just a lovely cafe/bistro. Very high standard. Wonderful pastries, coffee, menu looks very good Great patio friendly staff just above the harbour -be sure to visit if in Port Alberni and a great stop if passing through. Well worth a brief detour off the highway on the way to or from the Pacific Coast.
Great food, ok drinks, nice place
What a delightfully marvelous gem in southern Port Alberni! Top notch brioche and cappuccino.
Started the day her3 with a coffee and some sweet treats. You ve got to try the strawberry rhubarb brioche. Amazing snd unique. Cinnamon buns, apple fritter, latte, tea coffee, so good and the lunch food is said to be even better Food : 5/5
Amazing food, amazing stuff, amazing vibes and little cafe. The interior is small and has 3-4 tables and an accessible washroom. The front entrance also appears to be accessible of sorts but its on a VERY steep main road/Hill. The outdoor patio has two different levels with a large shade pergola covering a good portion, the patio is surrounded by wildflowers and planting. I ordered a treat along with a quick breakfast and to go drink. The staff were amazing and so friendly. It was a great little stop on the way back to Vic. I do recommend hanging out and trying out some of the menu items.
Awesome food and great atmosphere. We had an excellent brunch outside on the patio. The wait staff were busy but kind and patient with kids and dogs running wild. The french toast is not to be missed!
Amazing little stop in port alberni! A must try!! Food
The Wildflower café has an amazing atmosphere, great food, and good coffee. A little pricey but definitely worth it.
The staff is so friendly and the drinks and food delicious.
Everything was perfect, the food, the service and ambience!Must check it out
Amazing pizza, amazing drinks just so good
Had the croissant French toast this time. The food is good as always but the wait is a bit long.
Super friendly service and lovely tasting drink. 10 out of 10 recommend
Absolutely adore this cafe. Its what dreams are made of.
Great food and excellent service, a must visit whether youre a local or just passing through! I highly recommend the breakfast buns. Food
Cozy cafe, love the interior
Great coffee, super cute Cafe. Great selection of ready to go fresh baked goods. Also had their chicken burger for lunch...super tasty.
Great good , and beverages
lovely service and baked goods, also a super cute interior! the pastries were fantastic, as well as the cold brew and chai lattes
Goes hard
This place is an oasis in Port Alberni. Great coffee, tasty food, excellent service. If you take the pepperoni pizza be prepared to get an absurd amount of pepperoni salami.
Classical food with best service!
One of my all time favorite bakeries and cafes anywhere! A friendly laid-back place with indoor and outdoor seating in the most scenic part of Port Alberni near the waterfront; and some of the best food, after much roaming in America and Europe, that I have ever had. The Pizza is 11/10. Including the best Pizza of my life: 2022: the spicy Hawaiian, thin crust, a smidge of char on the edges, moist thick sauce, course-cut ingredients, brimming with freshness, a mountain of garden fresh herbs (there is a herb garden just outside) and on one occasion phenyl. But the marinara is also perfect, and so was the recent spiced ground lamb, and really anything I ever ordered. They have these brioche donuts with rotating fillings: plum compote, cheesecake, chocolate custard, a donut epiphany! The cinnamon role is awesome, compact, very cinnamony and not overswetened; the country bread is my favorite on the island; I now always stop here on the way to Tofino. Coffee and drinks also superb.
Best vegan pizza ever! Pluses great coffee, atmosphere and service! Loved it
Really nice bakery with an amazing breakfast! The stuff is very friendly! Cannot recomment that place enough! Food : 5/5
It s a wonderful place with great service and tasty food. I really recommend to stop here. Food
The BEST baking I ve had on the island. This cafe is a complete hidden gem. I had a bourbon iced tea and homemade mushroom pizza on the patio then took an assorted box of baking home and everything was absolutely delicious! Super friendly staff and adorable covered patio with lots of seating! Also there was tons of parking around! Definitely recommend this business! Thank you wildflower bake shop for making my Sunday so special!
Caramel apple tart and cappuccino, simply delicious
Delightful garden space. Super friendly and attentive services. Creative and delicious food. Way more than I expected. We enjoyed our Brisket Biscuits and Tuna Bowl immensely. Highly recommended.
Super good coffee and nice pastries. I appreciate the use of local products and the supporting of local businesses as well as their own staff by paying them a fair salary, unlike most restaurant businesses. The pastry we had was super tasty. Only minus for me personally were the loud other guests and limited space for indoor seating (but good for the bakery the place was full)
Amazing food. Very hospitable owner. Sitting in the garden enjoying the most mind blowing salad is something I will do regularly when passing through! Cheers!
Ordered the gluten free chocolate cake and it was sooooo delicious. So rich and so moist. Best GF cake in town! Will definitely get it again and excited to try their other cakes!!
Best and most cutest cafe in town! Friendly staff, very cozy cafe and the most delicious coffee. Will definitely return again multiple times, before we make our way back to Vancouver. Highly recommended!
One of the best spots we have visited on our week long vacation from our trip to Tofino and Ucluelet! Impeccable service! Impeccable meals! We will be coming back!
Delicious cappuccinos and pastries. They know how to do it!
The squash soup touched my soul.
Cant pass through Alberni without stopping by thus wonderful place.Had the chicken sandwich this time, it was delicious, and my wife loces her tuna bowl. The staff are always lovely and helpful too.
Excellent espresso drink and super nice staff
Best BLT I ve ever had! A must stop on the trip the coast.
Excellent little bakeshop/cafe! Their baked goods are delicious and coffee is good. A bit on the expensive side for our little town, but I do still go as it feels worth it for a treat from time to time :)
A lovely, friendly cafe that really makes an effort to serve good quality food and drinks. Stopped by for lunch and was impressed.
Americano and an insanely good breakfast Sammie! Just do it!!
Great coffee shop in town, will come back!
Would give a 6 if it were optional. A must experience for locals and travellers -> Dayum that Caesar was goooooood!
Best pizza I have ever had! Would recommend picking up their sourdough loaves as well. Nicest girls working, 10/10 recommend to anyone
Delicious breakfast sandwiches with nice unique ingredients. We tried oat lattes which were good. They use pacific oat milk.. i prefer earths own barista blend, Chobani or oatly since they re more creamy but maybe a personal preference.
Amazing service! Beautiful spot to eat. And the food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!
Absolutely excellent experience! Cant wait to go back next time we are through port alberni.
Made us a speciality pizza off menu and it was delicious
This was such a beautiful find! We were greeted by the owner of the restaurant and her amazingly bubbly personality. The lattes and coffee we had tasted great! We ordered the egg sandwich and a hashbrown (Get the hashbrown you will not regret it) and the pizza with prosciutto and arugula. This Egg sandwich was one of the most amazing sandwiches I have ever had. Homemade English muffin, fresh egg, tomato jam phenomenal. The hashbrown was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. No extra seasoning was needed! The baked goods were also extremely fresh. Thank you to the owner for making our experience absolutely superb. We most definitely will be visiting again!
I ve been there multiple times, but I will say I was disappointed of the size of the pizzas, they used be a very reasonable size and now that I went they were significantly smaller not worth the money, but great taste.
I m a coffee connoisseur love the service and friendly faces always, when I walk in that door they know exactly what I want
What a gem of a place in Port Alberni. We topped in August 2021 and had a wonderful experience. The food was home made and delicious and the service was also top notch. Worth a return visit for sure!
Everything is absolutely perfect warm welcome, the food is fantastic and the decoration is beautiful and the coffee is perfect. a must.
The food here was phenomenal; they make just about everything in-house and it shows.
This place is pretty good I d recommend the vegan focaccia I wish they would bring the Arnold Palmer back though sometimes there s fly sitting on the food I m not gonna be a little unhygienic pretty clean overall
Soup was amazing, staff super friendly. What a find.
Charming local bakery with the best banana bread I ve ever had! Don t miss it when you re here.
I appreciate what Wildflower is doing, they are more upscale than Mountain View. But I find they have Vancouver prices, and this is Port. For me itll be a long once in a while visit instead of something more regular because of that.
Great little bakery and coffee place. Food is served here and very tasty.
Excellent coffee and snacks! Fritter was a hit.
The food was great, surprisingly so for such a simple meal (fried chicken, coleslaw, cornbread, croquettes). The drinks were pretty good. The only hiccup was when my friend and I noticed the instructions for pouring the beer on the side of the can. The first beer came out closed, but we didnt realize there were instructions so I just opened it and poured. Once we saw the steps, we delightedly ordered a second of the same beer to compare; did following the rules make for a better experience? Well, the can came out opened. My friend asked if they had followed the directions, but the server didnt even realize they were there. So we asked for an unopened can so we could compare, but apparently thats against the rules. So we asked her to follow the directions for us, but she said because she had already opened the can on our table, she couldnt. It didnt make much sense to us, but we dropped it in favor of preserving a nice night. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience. The server was *mostly* nice, but it was clear she didnt appreciate us. There is outdoor seating, so despite being busy, it wasnt loud. It was pricey, but not much more than anywhere else in town. 2 people, 2 beers each, sharing an app and a dinner plate, and a good tip (+20%) came to just under $75. Parking: Street parking in front, shared with the restaurant next door. You may need to walk a little if both are busy, or if there is an event across the way, but its not terrible. Kid-friendliness: There was a child there, running free. They came to our table a lot, with no restriction from their parents. It was uncomfortable, but there didnt seem to be anything we could do. I didnt see high chairs or anything, and the food was definitely for more refined palettes.
Beautiful place, awesome patio, delicious food and coffee. You can tell everyone here cares about what they do. A great spot for a quick stop.
Best coffee in PA, unique baked goods, and delicious lunches. Quite slow to get hot meals, so give yourself lots of time and bring activities for little ones. Great covered patio to dine-in, and nearby walkable shopping area.
Nice spot with great service
Great food, drinks and service!
Amazing food! Spicy Tuna Bowl and Beet Salad were outstanding! Great service!
Amazing café, the Thaï salad absolutely blew me away! A must stop to have lunch if you are in the area!! Lovely patio area also!!
Super overpriced, decent coffee
We stopped after a wonderful trip in Bamfield & what could we say about Wildflower. Absolutely wonderful, yummy & beautiful. This place & the owner was so kind & you find so much love in detail. We highly recommend! We are coming back. Katharina & Matthew
WuTang clan and fried chicken sandwiches. This place rocks.
After researching cafes in the port area, we decided on wildflower. Unfortunately on our behalf, this was sadly a mistake. I would suspect at $15 for a breakfast sandwich at a bakery, that the bread would not taste days old, and having the ability to actually eat the sandwich with out it falling apart from being soggy would be a prerequisite. Sadly, I would not return. Over priced for mediocre food.
We were visiting from London in England and on our way from Nanaimo to Tofino. The tour guide we used says he always stops at Wildflower. And now we realise why ! Wonderful place - delicious food, great coffee. Josie who served us was a total star - so helpful. Would loved to have stayed longer - the outside seating area is beautiful.
Excellent lunch spot - so happy we stumbled across this gem. Thank you for the great lunch and coffee :)
Lovely, clean and delicious food! The staff Is kind and gorgeous!
Amazing food and cute space. Definitely my highlight for tasty food and yummy lattes when I drive through Port Alberni.
Amazing food, coffee, bake goods!great customer service!
Wow!!!! So cute and great food and drinks. The Thai salad was a bit wet but overall was very surprised by this place!
Great patio and atmosphere. Wonderful meal. We will be back.
Bland watery coffee and slow to make my sandwich. Good service and nice place though
Spent a few hours working remotely here, and the staff was really fun, cheerful and accommodating. Spacious patio, tasty pastries and good taste in music.
These guys are great. Its that simple
Good coffee, great pastries with unique flavours. Amazing staff, fun brunch menu and beautiful atmosphere. Loved it!
Have been in a few times for pastries and coffee to go. Service is slow. Seems like they are trying to do too many things at once. Double check your orders as I ve had to go back because they forgot items. Have sat in for lunch before and the table service is also done by the person working the counter. This adds to the wait times. Tried to order cocktails and was told they might not have all the stuff to make it. Seems odd when it s on your menu. I can t quite figure this place out.
Had the best soup I ve ever tasted in my life here. The bread is also amazing. Incredible atmosphere and staff. There s a beautiful covered garden sitting area outside. Keanna was a very kind server. Would recommend 100%
best cafe and bakery in town! love coming here with my friends and enjoying a snack and drink.
Lovely little bakery! Technically wheelchair accessible, though I imagine getting over the little incline to the front door could be difficult. Lots of well kept plants inside along the walls, and the ceiling is very high. Indoor and outdoor seating areas with both benches and chairs. I didnt stay to eat but likely will in the future, as it looked super cute and like a relaxing place to eat. Food was delicious! I got a breakfast bun, which was surprisingly sweet (but in a good way), a chocolate croissant which was (as per the photo) bigger than the palm of my hand, and a flat white coffee, which was fantastic. The staff were nice, and you have the option of getting your receipt via text, which was cool.
Love this place so much. The vibe is immaculate and service is perfect. The patio is so lovely to sit out on and dog friendly too! The baked goods and pastries are the perfect pick me up for a road trip. We always stop by on our way though town.
The best bakery/coffee/brunch in town :)
Happy 2nd Birthday to Wildflower! We always stop at this hidden gem and we re fortunate to stop by for a birthday cupcake today. Everything about this shop is perfect, service is always amazing, food is wonderful and high quality, and the outdoor garden and seating area now has an amazing covered structure. Got to try the fried chicken sandwich today and was the best I ve ever had. Congrats wildflower on your second, here s to many more!
Such a lovely place! Great service ! Wine selection is
Food is fantastic! Dropped by on our way to hike and came back the next day after our hike because we couldn t stop thinking about how yum everything was!
This place is a popular local spot. Great food and recommend everything, we always eat here when were in town and I have never been disappointed.
So good!! Every item is elevated (best apple fritter ever). It was a little hard to see their storefront as the city of port alberni is making this small business owner wait over 3 months for a sign permit! A piece of paper that allows them to install the sign thats been in their basement for months. 1 star for the citys red tape!!
Just stopped in port alberni to play a show and the next morning we went to wildflower to get some coffee for our hangovers. Gotta say, IMMACULATE vibes! Super nice interior decorating, really nice staff, and great coffee. If you stop in port alberni make sure you check it out!
Very good bakery! Its possible to have lunch. The waitress is very kind and the dishes are very good! I recommend it!
No doubt you guys have wonderful staff and food to offer all the time, but i would like to give a suggestion that you guys should mention on website or specially google maps that your store is open till 4pm but kitchen closes at 3pm instead. So people don t waste time to come all the way here and get disappointed later. I think it will helps both sides to save each others time. Thank you
This place is an absolute must visit, period. The baked goods change often and are far above average; brioches with seasonal fillings, fritters, savoury focaccia slices, the list goes on. The space itself is elevated with local macramé hangings, happy plants and reclaimed shelving. And it goes without saying (but I will, of course, say it) the drinks are spectacular, both coffees and cocktails. I can t recommend this spot enough, go check it out!
What a gem! Quaint atmosphere bursting with aroma of freshly baked goods. Delicious food made on site, and lovely service. Definitely will be back. Food
