We offer traditional east Donairs on wraps, pitas or sub buns. Our Donairs come in 4 varieties. We offer traditional Halifax beef, Chicago beef and lamb, RHM pulled pork and RHM Chicken. Food here is great, you truly get a GOOD portion size of food for the money you're paying, and the owner who you see working in there most often is the salt of the Earth. I really like the donair meat they use here, to my understanding it's a beef and lamb mix. The quality of the meat surpasses any donair shop I've ever had before. The edges have that crust to it but not dried out so you get that satisfying crunch, yet the rest of the meat is moist and satisfying to sink your teeth in. Flavour is great too! Don't be afraid to put on the greek spice if you get something that comes with the salad, it really adds a nice zest. This guy doesn't even skimp out on the cheese he puts on top of the bun he makes his subs with, so even the bread is enjoyable to bite into. This is a nice gem in the crown of Port Alberni in my opinion. RHM is a mom and pop shop, not just another chain store like the Pita Pit or the countless others that you see in the country. The guy makes both food for people who appreciate gut filler, and he makes a delicious platter and salads if you are somebody who leans on a healthier diet. I personally love getting the platters here more than anything. You get a salad, rice, and so much meat that you don't feel ripped off for the price you paid, which isn't something I can't say for most places you go to these days. The prices come out evenly rounded to the dollar so that the prices you see are the prices you're actually paying and not just having tax added on after. And the owner is always happy you came and if time permits it, he is happy to strike up a genuine conversation with you. The day this guy decides to retire I hope he wins the lotto, but not a day sooner because I want this business around in Port Alberni for as long as we can! :P To the owner, I don't know your name, but I appreciate you buddy, thanks for your business! I'm gonna scoop up one of your T-shirts and it's one I'll be proud to own and wear, especially in this town!

I consider myself somewhat of a donair officionada and have made a point of trying damn near every donair in the lower mainland. I’m giving this spot current best donair in BC that I’ve been to. Fantastic.

One of the best subs I’ve had in recent years! I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch on Italian White bread. The chicken was seasoned and hot! The ingredients all seemed very fresh. The service was quick and friendly. I don’t know when I’ll be in Port Alberni next, but when I am this will be my first stop! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality sandwich.
I'm blown away! Like others have said, the owner is the guy working there making your food. You can tell he enjoys and takes pride in what he does, it's rare to see that when you get food these days! The portion sizing for the pricing is insane! I'm jealous of locals who get to come here often. In Vancouver no falafel place I've ever been to has compared. I'll definitely be back.

We love coming here for Donairs, they are delicious and generous with the servings. You can get 2 for $25 which is a great deal. Staff here are super friendly also

I wish I was able to give a 5 stars The quantity was generous and it was a good fair price, but sadly the meat was way way way to salty. As well as it was very runny. Maybe from the vegetables but it made the bread all soggy. Was pretty disappointed. I love donairs they re my favourite food. I hope this business can correct these issues and I will definitely be coming back for a weekly donair with my family. I ll give them one more try for sure but if it s the same, I will not be returning
Went here with a Donaire in mind sure to recommendation. It was fantastic. Had an awesome chat with the gentleman making it. Will definitely go back. Parking: Strip mall parking can be a little tight Wheelchair accessibility: Level entrance

Really nice beef donair, holds up to the best of them. Add a little habanero bbq sauce with the classic sweet sauce to elevate it even more.

Stopped in while on a trip, based on the reviews. Was not disappointed! Owner was so nice and the shop had the charm of everything that is missing these days, when someone genuinely cares about their customers. Little baskets of a variety of mints, nice chat while he was whipping up sandwiches for my kids. Great portion, fresh and fantastic tasting and price was very reasonable. Best lunch we had while in Port Alberni!
Donairs are delicious, great portions, have always had great customer service when I m there. My husband and I drive from Parksville every once in a while when we get a craving for donairs!

Owner kept making remarks about hot sauce and how much he pays for it when I simply just wanted a side of hot sauce. Makes rude remarks against gay people and trans rights, huge red flag. Food was mediocre at best and way over priced!
My son was waiting for 20 mins in the line up. He only ordered a small meatball sub and the meatballs are microwaved.

Great sub and donair shop. Friendly owner made some great subs to feed the family. BLT and clubhouse style. I had a super size donair with beef and lamb mix. Quite delicious. Great selection of toppings and sauces.

This is the best sub/donair place ever. The bread is out of this world delicious and he loaded my sub with an abundance of goodies. He even put pineapple, that I requested, on my sub!!!! It was delicious!! And he was super friendly. Oh, and the place was spotless and smelled wonderful.

If you are a doneir fan, live in the island- then not trying their doneir is a crime The gentleman is very nice! We tried their 2 for $20 doneir. Loved the beef one! We will go to over and over! Highly recommended!

The 7 Meat Mega Buster was worth it. They give you a free pop and chips...great service and definitely better than subway. Second choice .. the donair box. Would reccomend...

Chicken was from steam tray and then microwaved. Soggy. Sweet sauce was watery. Owner said he was more concerned with food cost than quality. Sandwhiches looked ok. But Donairs were an insult to anyone having a donair craving.

The super donair was huge! The owner was so generous with veggies, cheese and meat. Plus hes such a nice chatty guy. The pulled pork sandwich and homemade chicken noodle soup were also awesome. Surprised to see so many good options at a donair place. Definitely reccomend!

My husband and i have been looking for authentic east coast donair experience and we found it! The service was quick and friendly, pricing is fair and the food was delicious; the sweet n creamy sauce brought my husband back to his youth when donairs were common place in his diet! He has been searching for 5 years and today RHM made his whole week! Recommend 100% for a quick eat in or take out experience!
The worst donair I have ever had. The meat was sitting in a steam table for who knows how long, tasted like beef flavored mush. The sauce was watery and disgusting.

Absolutely fantastic. The owner was a great conversation and very knowledgeable. So many options and if your on a very strict budget you can go over to the value menu and get a footlong sub for Super cheap! Great experience and will come back if I m ever going they port alberni again
This place makes the best damn donairs EVER! Absolutely a favorite for our family; always great customer service and the prices are really reasonable. Our 3 teenagers had the footlong subs and were actually full afterward. We had our usual... donairs. And as usual, they were messy, delicious and filling. Highly recommend!

The worst donair I have ever eaten. The chicken was left over and horrible also the tzatziki tasted and had the consistency of dishwater that a container holding tzatziki was washed in. Will never eat here again.

Really nice people and great place for a quick bite
Had the opportunity to stop at this nice little shop on our way up to Tofino. Stopped here due to the 4.8 Google maps rating and glad we did! Definitely a gem in Port Alberni. We got the 2 traditional donairs and they were scrumptious. Heart and soul is poured into food and it shows! This shop is exactly what small businesses are about. TLDR; 10/10 would recommend.

I m told that the beef donair is great. The best thing about my chicken donair was the pickles! I suggest you eat anything else but the chicken donair as it is made with pre-packaged fajita meat, yuck, yuck, yuck!

My first rating i ever have given to anywhere,, i truck alot of miles, and barely ever do i pass by a donair/Falafel shop, especially a a privately owned one,, RHM made me the largest tightly wtapped/ mess free donair ive had in my life, I will never come to Port Alberni, without going here. Oh and it was evening and you can park a semo right on the street in front.
