Cute spot, warm and cozy. Reasonably priced and tasty. Benny s made on sweet English muffins/crumpets versus traditional. Potatoes very tasty. Vegetarian options: You betcha Kid-friendliness: Yes! Wheelchair accessibility: Yes!

We had reuben and skillet. Foods were OK but they were too hard and oily to me and my wife. Service was not that fast. The restaurants were very smoky while waiting. not willing to come back

Eating in is ok, plenty of tables though the area might seem a bit tight. Overly smells of fried food due to lack of ventilation/fans in kitchen. Food is great and chicken is nice and big. However sides such as fries (which are Costco-like, could tell by the texture) could use some condiments drizzled onto it e.g spicy mayo or something because they are overly dry and plain otherwise. (chicken/beef) Burgers are quite heavy and fall apart easily, making it an absolute mess to eat.

Extremely long waits, waited almost over an hour for a table and kitchen took over 45 minutes to bring our food out. Food is good sure, but not worth waiting for over 2 hours.

Skillet and bennies are the must tries! I would drive over half an hour just for the corned beef, tuscan chicken, bulgogi and hash brown (shredded potatoes). Service is as great as the food and the waitresses actually care about the customer experience.

The first few times I loved going here with friends and family for breakfast. But as they started becoming more and more popular, the quality declined. We went just now for lunch. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, the big burger, a skillet and the carbonara. The only thing that was semi good was the pasta. The fries were burnt and inedible, they charged me $5 for a TINY side of hollandaise, our food arrived 20 mins apart and everything was beyond sweet, even the garlic toast. Worst of all, they don t have a proper vents in the kitchen and so expect to smell like burnt oil if you are going to visit. Sadly, we won t ever be going back.

Great brunch spot in a quiet poco neighborhood. The food is getting more and more pricy, with the price for a plate of chicken and waffles being $24 as of Oct 24. Their fried chicken is always great, and we love their eggs benedict as well. Their chicken is freshy fried, drizzled with honey and the waffles are amazing. If youre offered a side dish, always choose the shredded hash browns! Theyre crispy and warm. The service is always quick, but you can expect a wait to be seated during peak hours. My one complaint was that the coffee was quite bland. Parking: Theres a strip of parking spots around a minutes walk away from the restaurant.

Was disappointed in the Chicken n waffles at this location. 1/2 a waffle and 3 pieces of chicken $24 Ordered same dish at Maple Ridge location and it was a full plate of waffle and 5 pieces of chicken for $7 less than the Poco location. When I asked server, she claimed they use a different flour? Same restaurant name, should have consistency in portion/prices. Will definitely be going to Maple Ridge location.

We had the California Benny, and the reuben. It was $46 + tip !!!! (We had water, and 1 ice tea) The portions were small, and the food had no seasoning ? How do you serve hash browns without seasoning ? The eggs Benedict had no seasoning either, and the reuben was just average. This place has really gone down hill over the last year. Ive been 4 times, and everytime I get tricked by their 4.7 star rating and forget they use no seasonings and have average food. However their service is EXCELLENT. Great servers, and overall a nice restaurant.

This restaurant is dirty... I wish I could put that in other nicer words.. but no, it s just really dirty. The floor had a lot of gunk, windows were blurry, flies flying everywhere, and there was a significant amount of dust everywhere. It had no ventilation. I honestly wanted to walk out but tried to remain calm as I was with my coworker. I honestly think this place should get audited by Food Safe BC. The omelette was extremely greasy, no jam for bread, sourdough bread gone wrong that it felt like rubber, cold sausage in the inside and they use a lot of canned ingredients like mushroom, etc. I expect things to be of higher quality if I am paying $30. Canned mushroom, really? The only good thing about this place was that the servers always had their smiles on, were accommodating, cared to provide more water, etc. Friendly vibes by the servers really helped. Overall, please run away from this place. I feel like the Google Review here is so false and probably the restaurant owner s friends wrote it or something.

A different place from the one Im familiar with. Hard to believe its even better. It is more expensive than the other location, but the eggs were perfect soft scramble. And the potatoes were top notch too.

Always delicious! I am satisfied with both the friendly servers and the delicious food. However, the exterior of the restaurant is cluttered and dirty, so you might be skeptical until you open the door and go in. However, this is a place I come back to every time I go, satisfied! Its easy to park in the public parking lot behind, and its great to take a walk on the trail across the street after eating!

The food portions were perfect and delicious. However, the air conditioner wasnt working well, and there was an oil smell throughout. Overall, though, it was fantastic.

Long time repeat customers of Jimmys Lunch Box who were extremely disappointed in the customer service today, and will likely never visit again. My son is 6. We asked to order him the $8.50 kids breakfast (eggs, bacon) with pan fried potatoes instead of the hot cake or waffle option. They said no. We offered to pay for the seniors meal for $12.50 instead (as it has the potatoes, eggs and bacon). They still said no. Instead, the option offered was to order 3 side meals, for $14.50 total. My 6 year old had to navigate his different side-meals, which all arrived at different times! To top this very unpleasant interaction, my husbands glass was not clean and had things floating inside of it (another server exchanged it). Our server never visited our table again. We did not feel like valued customers at all, and that is really a shame considering we have visited this restaurant since my child was a baby.

I found this place a two years ago, and know I have to go at least once every month! Is something delicious and the best place to have brunch in all BC for sure !

Tuscan chicken Benny is tender, crispy and juicy, five stars. Everything Ive had here has been a hit.

My husband and I got takoyaki, bulgogi Benny and seafood linguini for brunch/lunch. Takoyaki was cooked well, slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Bulgogi benny had a lot of meat. The side salad for the bulgogi was pretty descent. Seafood linguini had 2 prawns, small shrimps, chopped squid &scallops, mussels, and was saucy. Wish the pasta was more al dente but whatever it s not an Italian restaurant. It gets busy here at brunch, but food comes on time nonetheless.

One of, if not my number 1, favourite brunches in the Vancouver area. A bit expensive but thats the world these days, highly recommend.

Highly Recommend Had the California Eggs Benny, fantastic! The hollandaise sauce was soo light and lightly lemony home made and great. The fruit salad was nicely arranged too, not just fruit dumped into a cup. If youre in Port Coquitlam, I highly recommend it for breakfast and lunch.

I got the California Eggs Benny. Delicious! Our server was wonderful. I asked for no butter in the hash brown or on the English muffin. She was very attentive and asked if I had an allergy to ensure there was no cross-contamination; I didnt but thought it was incredibly thoughtful of her. I will definitely come here again if I want some place to have a great brunch.

Pretty good food (nothing extraordinary), however the service could definitely be improved. While we were seated and eating our meal, we saw multiple free tables but new customers coming in were still instructed to write their name and phone number on a paper wait list. They were made to wait 10-15 min while no one even attempted to ready a table for them. Additionally, it didn t seem like the servers were clear on which sections they were each responsible for; multiple servers came to take our drink orders when we first sat down. Later, no servers were available at the end of the meal when we attempted to pay. Would recommend finding another restaurant if you re not looking to spend a couple of hours while dining.

The crowded restaurant I arrived at attests to the popularity of this joint. I had chicken & waffles. They were great. The chicken was tender and well seasoned, and the waffle was crispy and soaked in syrup. There is definitely more chicken than waffles though.

They actually close at 230pm so keep that in mind if your headed for a late brunch. The food is really good! Love the shredded hasbrowns. So crispy and delicious. I dont belive the waffles are made in house but the almond topping with fresh fruit is yummy. I came at 233pm knew what I wanted and they wouldnt let me sit inside to eat. I had to order to go. I eat really fast and would of respected the 3pm close rule but they wouldnt allow me. Anyways other than that I really like the food. I work nights so I dont get to go too often by 230pm.it was 40$ for California Benny and fruit with waffles.

This is the best breakfast place in Port Coquitlam!! I have come so many times I ve lost count, it constantly amazing! My only complaint is I wish they were never closed so I could eat here every day. The chicken and waffles are the best! Eggs Benedict s are all amazing too

We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, but it was definitely worth it! The food was amazing and extremely flavorful. The hashbrowns were very crispy and the Tuscan chicken benny was our favorite - the chicken was so tender and juicy! We ll definitely be back.

Great neighbourhood spot in downtown PoCo for breakfast and brunch. Popped in most recently for a late breakfast and the food was great. Split a bugolgi Benny and banana French Toast and I think the only mistake was not getting the pan fried potatoes instead of the shredded hash browns. I mean, they were good too.. but the pan fried looked like a better choice that day. Cheerful, friendly and brisk service + plentiful street parking.

I ve been meaning to check this place out and I had some time so popped in for breakfast before 11 (it got busy shortly after I sat down so best to come earlier before noon). I got the chicken and waffles and I was blown away by the presentation and the taste. The best chicken and waffles I ve ever had! The chicken was so moist and crispy, cooked perfectly, the sunny side egg with the garnish on top really elevated the dish but the waffle and syrup took the cake. I highly recommend this dish and will be back with my partner soon!! Thank you!

I think I just ate the BEST eggs Benedict I ve ever had in my life. The Beef Bulgolgi Benedict. AMAZING. Beef was so flavourful and delicious. How do you pack so much flavour in this beef? I don t think I ve had any beef bulgolgi that tastes this good anywhere else. Eggs poached perfectly, hollandaise perfect, English muffin crispy and soft. Potatoes so flavourful. I love the bit of garlic and green onions on top of the cubed potatoes. 11/10 all around. I wish I could try that bit of the garlic on top of the shredded hashbrowns too but for some reason it s an extra charge to have garlic on top of those potatoes. Not sure why. I ll stick to the cubed potatoes.

It was my first time visiting but it definitely won t be my last. We ordered Smoked Salmon Benny and classic New York Ruben and it was enough for 2 people. I would order a side of salad for at least one of them because they re all quite heavy and filling. Just be prepared to wait because they don t take reservations and it gets quite busy. Next time we want to order chicken and waffles because a lot of people were ordering it :) Edit: We went back for the second time and I ordered the chicken and waffles - and it didn t disappoint! The chickens were crispy and the waffles were fluffy. The syrup was a bit sweet but the pickled onions/cabbage(?) cuts through the sweetness very well. We also had the corned beef skillet and it was also very good. I also recommend it if you are looking for a more traditional breakfast menu!

THE place to go for brunch! I adore the atmosphere of this cozy restaurant that serves some of the most delicious brunch items I have ever had. Previously, the chicken and waffles was always my go-to order (absolutely perfected fried chicken), but it was after todays meal that I finally decided to leave a review. We had the seafood risotto, tuscan chicken benny, and the hotcakes, all of which were on point with flavor and portions. Im typically skeptical of brunch places because of their small portions, but Jimmys always leaves me stuffed. The flavours are sweet but have a good balance between the sides, and I have to give special props to the benny; delicious muffin and poached egg. Theres a reason Jimmys is so well reviewed within the community, and I can wholeheartedly add to the pile of satisfied reviews for how impeccable Jimmys has consistently been.

Despite of the long wait to get a table and to have the meal ready and the lack of cleanliness, I ve been to this place before and when came always order the same dish with fried eggs. The person always ask how I want my eggs. This time they didn t and I assumed it was coming as it always came. Turns out that after 25min waiting for it, the order had scrambled eggs. The waitress didn t believe me and insisted that s how I should it. Rude and didn t believe. Bad service , messed place, long wait and you can have better food elsewhere. Do a favour to yourself, go have breakfast in a better restaurant.

Have been several times before over the years just now getting around to leaving the review. This is unfortunate as it seems the service and food quality has gone down over the years. The consensus of our group was probably a 3.5 star The breakfast were still pretty good our only complaint was the garlic toast that came with the pasta dish had a little too much sauce on it. However it just seems not as good as it was previous times. Not sure if theyre under new management as the name seem to have been changing also and the menus were different then the previous times I had been.

The taste is very good, but there are many people. If you dont make a reservation on holidays, you have to wait for more than half an hour. Quite crowded. But the food tastes very good.

Jimmys Lunch Box is an absolute amazing place. Went there over the weekend and it was packed. Lucky, it was not too long of a wait before we got a table. We ordered a farmers breakfast with the hash brown, Bulgogi Benny with the pan fried potatoes and the corn beef skillet also with the pan fried potatoes. The farmers breakfast was the usually breakfast, it had your toast, egg (we got them over easy), ham, sausage, vegetables, bacon. Everything on that plate was delicious! Very savory and lots of flavor, the hash browns were very crispy, the egg was perfect and everything was delicious. One thing though about this is the sausage was ok, it was not too good but the rest did not disappoint. Next was the corn beef skillet and it was very delicious! Lots of flavor from the corn beef, the egg was great and the pan fried potatoes were crispy at first then went a bit soggy but it had a great garlicky flavor to it which was amazing and enough cheese for a bit of a cheese pull! Lastly the Bulgogi Benny, the most expensive out of all but still at an ok price. It was amazing, lots of flavor from the Benny and the Bulgogi added a different twist to the Benny. It all complemented each other with the sweet, salty, savory tastes with the egg that pieces everything together. So good! And the potatoes were the same as the the skillet but on the side, it was great and delicious as well. Definitely a must try but located a bit far. Worth the drive though!

The interior of various Lego pieces is impressive, and the staff are friendly. The salad sauce is also very balanced and has a great taste that goes well with the salad without being too biased towards sourness or sweetness. The Seafood Risotto was not greasy, had just the right amount of seasoning, had a variety of seafood, and was very tender and delicious. The Garlic Bread that came with it was also great. Tuscan Chicken Bennys Chicken and Hash Browns are amazing, crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. Pulled Pork Skillet The poached egg with the sauce was very delicious, the pork was very tender and delicious with a smokey flavor, and the roasted sweet potatoes on the outside were also very delicious.

A second-time visitor here. Ordered the Pulled pork skillet and Tuscan chicken Benny, and they did not disappoint. On our first visit, the pulled pork skillet was so delicious and flavorful - it really reminded me of the first time I tried the Bahun uni and murasaki uni in Hakodate years ago. I always thought the over-exaggerated food shows and anime were a little too cheesy, but this was it - it was all about the flavour. I had such amazing flavour from the Nightingale in downtown 2 years ago, although my 2nd/3rd visits there were rather disappointing. Just like such experience, the Pulled pork skillet tasted just average on my second visit if not any worse. Im not sure what was going on, but at least the chicken Benny was still solid. Well find out on my next visit for sure. Even with such disappointment, I still strongly recommend this place for cute brunch date - Ive been to pretty much all brunch places in Coq/Poco area but this is now my go-to for sure. Parking: Free street parking, but Id just arrive little early to make sure you dont ruin your brunch date.

This place is always 10/10. The staff is always super friendly and the food is amazing! I always get the Tuscan Chicken Benny - crispy and flavourful. We also ordered the corned beef hash with garlic potatoes. It s yum It gets busy for brunch but the turnover is pretty fast. Will definitely will be back again.

We love Jimmys lunch box! One of our go-to breakfast places. Everything is delicious. The staff are always wonderful and friendly. Our favorites are the Chicken and Waffles, and the California Benny. Because its so good though, they are very busy on the weekends during peak hours so be prepared to wait a little bit. But its definitely worth it!!!! <3

Best chicken in the lower main land port Coquitlam location.

I ordered the hot stone bowl (bibimbap Korean dish) tasted great BUT looking at the other pictures posted now for this menu item, the portion size I received was half as much. The bowl was half full. I spent $25 and then had to go across the street for a piece of pizza afterwards. Had a nice lunch date with my wife but I was fairly disappointed with the food experience here. (Advice for the owner: add some more rice underneath, make sure people are leaving full)

Needed to go out for breakfast today and wanted to try Jimmys for a while. Food and service was excellent and accommodated our unique dietary needs.

Amazing food, welcoming staff and very nice vibe into the place as a whole. We stopped by randomly with our 4 months old, they helped us to get settled in a way that our baby can also enjoy having a breakfast with us. I come here often for their fruit n waffle. Absolutely delicious. Service never disappoints. Restaurant is super clean, fast and overall love the vibe from the decor.

Do not Eat here. Expensive and food that I had was done poorly. We had breakfast I had poached eggs with sausage, potatoes and whole wheat toast. The eggs came cold and they poach so there really is not white part of the egg, just a round ball of yolk which was over cooked. I had to send back the eggs the fresh ones were warm but still just a small ball. The toast wasnt toasted really, soft and chewy. The spuds came with so much garlic pieces on it I couldnt eat it and I like garlic. $19 for this simple breakfast $3.50 for bland coffee was a RIP OFF and I will never eat there again.

Loved my California Benny but could do without the balsamic reduction because it was too sweet and didn t go with everything else. I also wasn t really a fan of the Tuscan chicken Benny my partner ordered because it was pretty sweet also and had chicken thighs instead of breast (this is just personal preference for me). The pan fried potatoes are fantastic though and so was the pancake we ordered on the side. I would definitely come back

Pretty cool place! Found this spot on Google. The outside of the restaurant doesnt look as appealing but the inside looks great. Really well set out for the interior. They have really cool looking clocks, even one made of lego (that actually works). It makes it a unique place. The customer service was really good, they would follow up and make sure the food tastes good and that you never had to ask for water. It is a busy restaurant, so be ready to wait (not too long, probably like 20 minutes). I ordered the chicken waffles, the chicken was juicy, probably one of the best chicken waffles Ive had compared to other places. My only critique would be that they pour the maple syrup on the waffles for you, so you dont get to control how much syrup is there which made it quite sweet. Other than that, the waffles were amazing. The radish (I think) they served on the side was really sour, so didnt bother eating that. Definitely would come again to try other meals! Parking: parking outside, quit a bit of parking in the city.

Ordered the bulgogi beef benedict w cubed potatoes and chicken and waffles. The food came extremely hot and fresh. The hashbrown had garlicky oil poured on. I wish the english muffin was not so saturated but otherwise very delicious and flavorful. Three pieces of chicken to justify the price bump.

American brunch run by Koreans. The cost-effectiveness is very poor. There is a line on the weekends, but the price is a bit high for a very ordinary taste that is not terribly delicious. Its not worth the visit and I have no intention of visiting again.

Love this place, not your usual bland brunch, expect a little extra. You wont be disappointed .

Came twice and this place melted me both times. The Smoked Salmon Benny is sooooooo delicious. Friend had omelet last time and husband ordered the waffle breakfast today. Both said it s delicious. The salad dressing is amazing Recently came back for the 4th time with my parents; they are super picky with food as they have been involved with the food industry for decades. They absolutely LOVED IT here.

I generally do not like to eat out for breakfast as I feel I can make bacon and eggs pretty close to restaurant quality. Jimmys is one of the exceptions to my rule. Everything was spiced just right and cooked just so. Prices are on the high side but sometimes you have to pay for quality, right? Staff were extremely attentive and so nice. We live in Maple Ridge but this is our go to breakfast place even though its a bit of a drive.

The best eggs Benny ever.

Their bulgogi benny was hands-down, the best benny Ive ever eaten. All of the individual components from the hollandaise (amazing), to the crumpet, were really good. The side salad was even topped with seasonal fruit and was dressed in some sort of balsamic glaze mixed with something else really delicious. Dont let the restaurants exterior intimidate you! The interior is much more welcoming and youll be staying for the food!

So unfortunate- the website says that they close at 3pm, we arrived and the sign said open, the board was still outside and the door was open. When we walked in I heard a server say oh no and we were approached and told they were closed. When questioned they said they put in the last order and could not serve us. It was 2:15!!!! This should be stated in the website. We made a special trip to try this restaurant and we re very disappointed. Do better Jimmy s.

Lovely little place for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Nice ambience, good service and really tasty food. Had the bulgogi Benny and corned beef skillet. Very tasty and generous portions. Definitely worth a visit.

I tried JJB in maple ridge few times food was good. this one is very inviting atmosphere. service lacking a bit of organization. I got my food but my date didnt for some time by the time she got her food mine was cold... It is also a bit pricey for 2people with only one juice was 53$ plus tips. most food is 20$+ . not a place I would eat often just based on the prices as they are comparable to higher end establishments

This is my second time eating at this place. They re pretty popular so wait for a table can be fair bit. Waited 20-30 mins both times. Well worth the wait though. Food was served fast and were very good. I had eggs benny last time and chicken and waffles this time. The fried chicken was super crispy and actually kept well as I took left overs home as portions were generous. Will keep coming back.

Amazing brunch, you HAVE to try the Bulgogi Benedict for brunch, or the seafood linguini if you re in a lunch mood! This is also the only brunch place where the side salad option wasn t a regret, it was even better than the hash browns. The service is great, but do expect a bit of a wait on the weekends as seating is limited and EVERYONE wants to get in.

Hidden gem

It used to be one of our favorite restaurants but we were very disappointed at their food the other day. We visited on Oct 19 at around 2pm and ordered Tuscan Chicken Benny as usual. Chicken portion was not even close to half of what it was before and the bun wasnt cooked right using too much butter that it was mediocre.

Absolutely delicious, flavourful food served hot! Great service too! Tried the Benny after all the recommendations and reviews that I had read and it was delicious. Loved the little decorative pieces that made the place so unique. The staff were very friendly and made sure coffee was refilled and that we were well taken care of.

I would say here is one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in Tri-Cities. My favorite is their Tuscan chicken benny. Services is super friendly and free refill your coffee. Make sure to come early if you want to avoid lining up. The restaurant is quite small, so small group should be faster to get a table

Tried the crispy chicken sandwich. What a treat! I really enjoyed how different it was than the cookie cutter chicken sandwiches. It was super juicy and had a great sweet and salty taste.

Saw them listed as a sponsor of the Madison County Toy Run so I thought Id have lunch there. I am very glad I did! Wow! What an awesome burger! If you havent eaten there yet, you need to!

My family and I love the brunch here. Although we don t live in Coquitlam, we come all the way here for brunch. The portion, quality and presentation of the brunches are excellent here. It s affordable as well. The ones we have in Vancouver or other cities are a bit more pricey and the portion is smaller for sure. The service here is great. The servers speak Korean. We are surprised that a Korean running breakfast or brunch restaurant runs well and beats others lol many customers with different ethnicities would come here for brunch. I wish I could come here once a week to enjoy their breakfast. There are free street parking and a free parking lot near by, so don t worry about parking in the neighbourhood. I would highly recommend others to come here for breakfast or brunch. They don t take reservation but waiting in line is not too bad. I came here a few times. The waiting time was not bad.

Cute interior and various menus.. There were many types of pasta and the taste was very good!! The staff were also very friendly!!! The chicken was especially delicious. I think I will use it often in the future!!!

I had breakfast with some friends. We waited 20 minutes for a table, so we walked around until we had our table. We sat down and ordered right away. It took 25 minutes to bring the food. My food was not as I ordered and when I asked the waiter she was extremely rude. With that attitude I didnt want her to change anything but she grabbed my plate, took it to the kitchen and they only overcooked the same meal. Misunderstandings happen but she was rude and ruined my meal.
