2748 Lougheed Hwy., Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 6P2, Canada
Classic Chinese dishes & dim sum are presented in a large room with chandeliers & fish tanks.
This restaurant is a very unassuming place. I would have never guessed it looked like this inside based on the exterior. It was very clean and the staff was super friendly with a great sense of humour. The food was also very flavourful. We all enjoyed our meal very much for not being a high end restaurant. Prices were very reasonable as well. Will be back for sure.
Hadn’t been for a while. Food was really good and service super friendly. Good size portions. I would prefer a menu with pictures though.
My family has been frequenting this place since I was a child, we stopped going for a couple years and recently started coming back and it’s even better than what I remember. The food is good but what stands out here is their service! I’ve never experienced such friendly and hospitable service from a Chinese restaurant, and it makes the food taste even better. You can tell this place really values their customers and treats them well, 100% recommend!
Very good Chinese food, some of the best we’ve tried! Brought my family of 18 there and everyone had a very positive review to leave. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and the service is phenomenal, on top of amazing Chinese food. 100% recommend. Accommodated us no problem and efficiently being a large group.
This place has been here since I was a kid. Glad to see it's still here and I'm visiting again after 20+ years. All I remember was that I liked their hot and sour soup. Not really an authentic Szechuan restaurant. 30 years ago, most chinese cuisines were cooked by hong kongers or south chinese people. So, most of these dishes are going to be a southern take on it. Hot and sour soup - price is awesome. $11 enough for at least 6 bowls. Souo base is missing a bit of flavor but it is jam packed with ingredients. Drunken chicken - it was ok. Little on the salty side. Shanghainese pan fried pork buns - these were probably the worst I've had. Not made in house and not properly pan fried. No juice, super dry, no fried bottom crust. Bean curd wrapped pork dim sum - surprisingly this came out last. At least 20 min has passed. This is a steamed dish but it came out with dried edges like it was sitting on a dry heater. Taste was ok. Mapo tofu - asked for extra spicy and extra numbing. Numbing was there but nowhere near real szechuan numbing. Was not spicy at all. Sauce was more oily than saucey. The price point reflects the quality. Things are either mediocre or a complete miss. Would come again to try only the better stuff. Staff was friendly. Came to try to refill the tea way more times than normal. The iron goddess tea tastes much better than a lot of dim sum places elsewhere.
Excellently executed every time we visit. Flavors are on point. Always fun times there ! ☆☆☆☆☆ / Dec. 15th Sun 2024
This is my first time to dine in at this restaurant. The service is good but the food need some improvement. I ordered a noodle but the soup base taste salty . Chef should put less salt or no salt since the veggie already taste salty and the Chinese broccoli taste not much flavour.
My husband and I have been craving for a good Chinese food. We have done take out here many times before, it's our first time dining in actually. I am so amazed on how good the service is at this restaurant. Food came out fast and it was delicious. Did not disappoint 🙌. Thank you wahwing, we will definitely dine in again.
They are literally the best in the game in the lower mainland.
Friendly staff + great food = 5 star!. Guys bathroom looks like a sprinkler went off.
bad hygnie, bad atmosphere, slow service, taste overnight food
I ve been coming to Wah Wing for years, and I don t plan to stop anytime soon. I enjoy each visit, and I m always completely happy with what I order. The staff know me well, and it s always fun interacting with them they make the experience even better. This is the only restaurant where I genuinely feel a 20% tip (or more) is absolutely deserved, lol. If today were my last day on Earth, Wah Wing would be my choice for a final meal. Thank you, Wah Wing, for the amazing food and hospitality. Here s to many more years ahead!
Wasnt busy only about half a dozen tables occupied , yet it took a fair amount of time before our order even got taken , and then it was 30 minutes after that before our dishes started coming out randomly at 5 -10 minute intervals. I dont mind some of the inconsistencies if the food turns out to be good . Unfortunately this wasnt the case, the reviews were all there stating otherwise hence trying a restaurant so far from home . We love Szechuan and like to try new places , we both had the same look of disappointment when we started trying the dishes as they came , we sat there eating and throwing out names to over a dozen much better Szechuan restaurants within a decent driving proximity . A very underwhelming and forgettable restaurant.
The food is always good and the service is always above and beyond. We discovered Wah Wing earlier this year and it has quickly become a family favourite.
Loved it! Just had THE BEST DIMSUM EVER. Everything was just perfect, great food and price to begin with, the professional yet friendly service.(You dont get that often especially in Chinese restaurant ) Special thanks to our server Aiden(I hope name is correct) for the best service. Definitely Coming back!
A must have when here. #53. Fried chicken with special soy sauce. Deep fried then cut up n dizzled with special soy. Mmmm and if you like prawns #42 prawns w sweet chilli sauce. Also available in the lunch value combo size include rice and choice of wonton or hot n sour soup.
Awesome food, awesome service!!! 1000% recommend!!
Been going or ordering from here for 20+ years. Can t remember a less than great meal! Same applies today for lunch ginger beef, pork buns, even something simple like spring rolls all 5 *. Tried the fried banana balls and mango ice cream. So so good! Staff went out of their way to make sure my mother (little older) was taken care of. Congrats on 30 years and hope your here for another 30 for my kids to keep coming to!
Wah Wing is by far the best Chinese restaurant that I have ever tried!
We had a family dinner at this restaurant which my son frequently visits. The waiters were very friendly and our food was prepared to order. We ordered beef with broccoli, pineapple chicken, beef chow main, shrimp with greens, chicken corn soup diching boneless chicken and steamed rice. All the dishes that we ordered were delicious and generous in quantity. The waitress also treated our grandchildren with free mango ice cream. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian dishes on the mey
We have been loyal customers for 7 years now and dont plan on changing that fact. Food is always fantastic and the only thing better is the service and atmosphere.
The people were very nice, and the food was amazing!!!!!!!!!
Servers were cool, had a sense of humour, and were an absolutely brilliant vibe. Food was all great, rich and flavourful, while being reasonably priced. Food
Always an excellent dining experience. Great food and attentive service. Last visit was for dim sum and everything was fantastic.
The food is soooo very fresh that I don t even add soya sauce to rice even. It is literally our favorite place to go out to eat. The staff is the friendliest ever. So kind to my 11 month old granddaughter. We order the same each time. Ginger beef, Singaporean vermicelli with shrimp, house fried rice, and green beans. Can t wait for the next time. Kid-friendliness: They are always so friendly and kind to children. Came over many times to talk and joke around with my 11 month old granddaughter and brought her crackers and gave complimentary watermelon
Super tasty food - ginger beef and green beans are amazing! Service was great as well. Will come again.
Came from New York and tried this on a whim, quite nice and authentic Chinese food. Lemon Chicken, Salt and Pepper Prawns were great! Service was amazing, shout out to Alan the GOAT Food : 5/5
staff are the best around! wife and I love going for dim sum, and when we order chinese food for family gatherings this is our go to spot!
Yummy Dim Sum and noodles
My husband and I were in this restaurant today. I highly recommend this place the food was awesome , good service polite staff .. thank you
Great experience, tasty food with amazing attendance. It was the first time eating dim sum. Theyve explained all...
Been goin to Wah Wing for years always enjoy their Dim Sum some of the better Ive had
Very fortunate to have this restaurant in Coquitlam. Servers are super friendly and the food is delicious. Menu has a wide selection of both Cantonese and Szechuan dishes for lunch and dinner. Only pity is they don t always have my favourite salty soy milk and sugar coated donuts.
This is the best food around ! The steamed green dumplings are delicious I highly recommend
Kung Pao Chicken was delicious !
Great food. Not oily like some dim sum places. Good value too. Definitely make advance reservations.
This place is like old school Dim Sum, it s got charm, waiters are super friendly and the food is good. Nothing fancy, just a good solid dim sum place. Dim Sum selection is on the smaller size as I guess it s primarily a Szechuan restaurant. Update: prices have gone up a bit, food still good.
Food quality changed
Sort answer 100% best Szechuan (probably all Chinese) resteraunt In BC Growing up in greater Van with parents who came from the prairies we grew up eating ethnic food whenever possible. Our go to Chinese was On On Tea Gardens on Leefer till the day they closed. I spent every opportunity to find another great Chinese place to replace it. We found Wah Wing essentially in our back yard when they first opened over 24 years ago and we have been driving out from Abbotsford for the last 20 years. Wonton with Red Pepper & Peanut Sauce and Pan Fried Yee Mein are two excellent dishes you just dont find many places. Ginger Beef with Chilli is honestly the best ginger beef you have ever had. Going back again this Friday for my daughters choice of 24th birthday dinner, she has been going her whole life. Will take more pictures (dont tell them I was there on Sunday without them ;)
Great food and service. Best in the area, hands down.
Nice place food was great too.
We have been going here for over 16 years and it never fails. Good food and excellent service.
In house...Prompt service, fair portions, served hot, friendly staff. Good eats.
Hands down the best Chinese food in the metro Vancouver area! Very fast serve time and big portions! Great for families. Hidden for Coquitlam, also No-MSG used and vegetables are always fresh cooked to perfection.
Awesome food and even more awesome service :) Cant wait to go back next time!
Very loud
Spacious and comfortable space. Suitable for family gatherings, entertaining friends, guests, etc.
Good food and service. Fairly price and better than most. If portions were more in line with the prices.. itll definitely be 5 stars!
It s been a regular for dim sum and Christmas Eve dinners for years. Small, noisy, and any table near the door gets a blast of cold air anytime someone comes in. But the service is efficient and pleasant. But it s the food that s done consistently well, and hot.
Solid Szechuan place with plenty of spicy and non-spicy options! Wasnt a fan of their Shanghai thick noodle soup (Im Shanghainese lol), but I highly recommend their beef with broccoli! The owner was very nice though, very friend towards everyone :)
The staff and food are excellent. My boyfriend and I dine in Dim sum all the time. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and the dim sum is our favourite that we have tried.
Good but its hard to get service
To be honest, this is the worst Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. Only can Cheat western people who hasn t eaten traditional Chinese food. Every dishes mixed with oyster sauce and soy sauce, Totally not Szechuan flavor.
Low key kinda garbage. Bland, bland, bland. Every dish tastes the same. Seriously what a disgrace. Disappointment. Take the emotional damage.
Great service and delicious food. Loved by locals. Cant go wrong for lunch or dinner. I have been visiting the restaurant for many years and am thoroughly impressed by the delicious food and excellent service. The typhoon spicy crab is a must-try dish - its a signature item at the restaurant and definitely lives up to the hype. The service was also top-notch - the staff were friendly and attentive. Its also worth noting that this restaurant is family-owned, which adds a personal touch to the dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit if youre in the area and looking for some delicious, spicy crab and great service.
If you read through the reviews here, you will see a pattern of this restaurant racially and economically profiling customers. They eye you up and down and decide if you can pay or not. A wealthy friend recommended this place, but when I visited here for the first time, I received terrible service like some of the below reviews. The wealthy friend no longer patrons here. Another friend who works as a delivery driver says they dont pay their delivery drivers. Decide for yourself. When I noticed that my food (a very common dish found in many Chinese restaurants) did not look like it should, I threw the entire thing out for fear of food tampering and sanitation. From the beautiful pictures that others have posted, this restaurant knows how to make proper Chinese food. If you, like a decent number of the other reviewers here who have commented that the taste or appearance of your food is off, you have been profiled and discrimated against, dont risk your health. For those customers who tried reporting it to restaurant only to be ridiculed and laughed at, this is an indication of their business mindset and practices. They took deliberate enjoyment at your expense.
They go thru 50lbs of green beans every night. The Szechuan beans are like a signature dish with most tables partaking. I compare all other Ginger Beef dishes to theirs, which has become my gold standard. Most other places I find lacking.
Fav local place for Sichuan
Excellent Chinese food. . Full of happy people. .
Excellent fresh quality food! Highly recommended.
Good food
Real Sazuen chinese restaurant... Some delicious dimsum.
Amazing food, fantastic people and great atmosphere and very reasonably priced ... What else would you want! :) I am sorry of hesitant to write this review because more people will discover this amazing restaurant and it will be difficult to get seats !!! ;) All the best to you guys !! Vegetarian options: Yes
Excellent service, every dish was cooked perfectly and the flavouring was 5-star. I had the ginger beef, shanghai noodles and the spring rolls... Friends had the Dumplings in peanut sauce and the hot and sour soup as well. Will definitely be back.
Very delicious and great service
Dishes are all delicous - the ginger beef, honey garlic pork, spicy fried green beans, hot and sour soup are our favorites. The quality of food has not changed at all after so many decades!
Everything was exceptional Qwick service, food was hot Food
Pretty good food and service
Great food and great service.
The service was ok but the food was not good. It was a rushed job and tasted too salty and not done as well. The dimsum food wasnt as good either. Chef need to cook better.
Took my parents here for dim sum on Mother s Day. While the food was average (very good for the price though), the service was what prompted me to write this review. I can t remember the last time I went to a restaurant and the staff actually seemed to truly enjoy working there! They were friendly, cheerful, and full of energy. It was a busy time, but they were always quick with any requests we had (teapot refill, extra napkins, take out for leftovers). The restaurant itself also looked quite elegant and not what you would expect from the outside. I would definitely return.
Looks good. But .... Why does a restaurant need cookies on my browser. You lost a customer for lousy cookies.
Although the decoration is old, the waiters have good attitudes and the food is delicious !
Consistently good food. Have been going for many years.
Wah Wing has been here for close to 30 years now, with mostly traditional Cantonese dishes plus several Szechuan dishes. They have always been good in the past so I must caught them on an off day for a dinner takeout - the boneless pork was overcooked so it was tough and chewy and the fried rice dish was smaller than expected. Maybe it will be better next time.
Best food and service around. Always amazed!
My boyfriend and I were craving Chinese food, and I looked up places in the lower mainland and based on Google reviews decided to try this one! We were happy we did, the service was excellent, very friendly knowledgeable staff who gave us recommendations and were attentive. We ordered chicken chow mein and pork dumplings, very good and the perfect amount for us 2. We will be back.
Food tasted good and service was great. Went in Sunday afternoon, ordered chicken chow mein, ginger beef, spicy squid, and sweet and sour pork with rice. Food came out of the kitchen very fast. Had diarrhea the next day, and figured it was this food that made me sick but wasnt sure. Then one of my family members had some leftovers out of the fridge only one day after we visited the restaurant and he was violently sick after. He was throwing up all night and missed work. I wouldnt go back to this restaurant, obviously.
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Coquitlam, I have been going for years! So good
Its so delicious. so delicious!!!
Good service, great food. Lots of families.
Its absolutely not a Szechuan style restaurant, very deceiving. I love the vegetables here but the typical pork dishes such as Fish-Flavored Shredded Pork and Moo Shu Meat are unbelievably screwed up with the excuses of HK style. Are you kidding me?! The servers are not organized and responsive either. Its such a terrible experience here!
Best Dim Sum ever! Fast friendly service. Great atmosphere. This is a must! Food : 5/5
Amazing owners and staff. Food is so delicious and so reasonably priced. It s a must try for sure.
We had the tofu dishes and they were excellent. Will come back
Delicious & great service.
Not only a Chinese restaurant also provides a lot of special dishes are their daily favourite food and the seasonal menu.
Loved my experience here. The Shanghai rolls were so fresh and fluffy inside, everything we had was so fresh and delicious and the staff were so friendly!
This is a place I often go to eat mapo tofu. If you order it spicy and mix it with rice, it has a nice spicy taste.
Staff is five star as well. Vegetarian options: Some dishes can be adapted to vegetarian if requested when ordering. Food : 5/5 |
The food was AMAZING. I was there for a work related Christmas party and we had about 12 employees there and the seating was excellent, very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered almost everything on the the menu and it was all AMAZING. SO GOOD. The wait time for all that food was 15 minutes or less even, and the staff kept bringing things out very quickly and they were so accommodating and professional. Im going to go out of my way to eat there again. 5/5 stars for sure!
Food was amazing, specially chicken corn soup. Its nice cozy place with friendly service.
Very good, would recommend. Staff is amazing
Flavorful food and very lively staff!
Have a nice Day
Delicious food. Great service.
Excellent food
It was OK. Just ok. Food was kind of meh.
Best Szechuan food I ever had. Loved the ginger beef
The Sheng Jian Bao(Pan fried meat bun) is a bbq steamed bun, tasting like wax. The cook doesnt know how to do it or just try to scam the customer???!!!
Tasty,good service
Everything is delicious. This is our go to place for schezuan cooking.
Their food put me in a coma... A food coma. Recommended by friends and Wow... I cant believe the years Ive wasted not trying this place. The flavors are amazing and the seafood was incredibly fresh. Definitely my New Favorite Chinese Restaurant! Although I only did takeout, the service was fantastic!! Kudos
Dim sum was good... Just a little slow in service
Last week I order takeout from this place ( approx $120.00) . MAN LET ME TELL YOU THE TRUTH.... I have never been disappointed with any takeout food places in the lower mainland AS I WAS WITH THIS PLACE. The food was totally NOT edible. How wrong can you go with fry rice and chicken corn soup, Thats what I said to myself. So I called the Manager Ben (I am not sure if in fact he was the manager) and asked him if there had been changes to the kitchen staff. ( as i have ordered food from here before). He did not give me proper answers but he said he was SORRY for the quality of food I got from them.... ... THATS IT ..... I ended up putting it in the organic bin. I will not be getting any takeout or eat food from this place, I am done with this chinese restaurant. Too bad i had to click one star in order to post this review. They dont desire that also.
An old store
Great food!
Great environment. Consistent great food. Servers are nice.
Quick and friendly service, great quality food at a fair price point. Will definitely be returning in the near future.
Absolutely amazing service and delicious food! 10 stars!
Outstanding food always and excellent service.
Horrible, fatty meats. Greasy bland... Bad
Delightful experience. White table cloths, exceptional service and great food
White table covers excellent service and great food. The house fried house is terrific
Best dim sum
Love their dessert
Love it. Great food, great service, great takeout. Consistently tasty and fresh food. Also love how friendly they are always. The mongoli beef is delicious.
Excellent food as always, love how its still a family operated business. Havent been disappointed from them yet.
Have been going to location in Coquitlam for over 20 years and order all dishes Mild ordered tonight and the Ginger beef was extremely spicy and could not eat. I phoned to let them know and they laughed on the phone and did not listen to anything I had said to them as we were not able to eat the dish. Asked for a credit on next order and he laughed and said no, they would change for me now, come back and pick up now he said. I told manager that it was a take out order and we live in Surrey and will not be coming back to exchange the dish and requested a credit for the dish and he laughed and said no .Absolutely not. Disgusted with the customer service and will not return.
Excellent food, same quality and experience decades on. Appreciate new ownership doing their best to maintain.
Quite disappointing. Food was pricey which we didnt mind.We ordered,a mixed vegetable dish, sweet, sour,Chilli, garlic beef and mushu pork with pancakes. The 2 meat dishes ended with 80%vegetables!If it s a meat dish,it should come with 70 to80%meat.
Low quality. Prices are inconsistent with website. Customer service was useless. How does one mess up Chinese food? Sweet and sour pork was pure fat. Just horrendous lack of care, flavor and quality with everything ordered. Do not eat here unless you enjoy garbage.
Always good. And fast delivery without the extra cost of the delivery services.
Went for dim sum. All very good especially deep fried shrimp ball.
I discovered this restaurant in 1998. And guess what - Im still going there for some excellent food. People there changed over years - the quality of food is still impeccable.
Delicious food. Decent pricing and portions as well. Staff are not always on the ball though
Amazing food, Amazing service and Amazing prices. Wah Wing never disappoints. Definitely recommend going here for all your meals!
No complaints. Service was excellent. Food was yummy and hot. Overall a great experience.
Food was amazing and our waiter was hilarious and fun..
The food service and atmosphere here are all amazing I wish I could give the food 20 Stars excellent place to even order ahead and pick up your dinner for the evening 10 out of 10 highly recommend Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed but do be kind and respectful to the people around you.
Have been coming to this establishment on and off for almost 17 years and their food is perhaps the beat chinese food in the tri-cities area This time around ordered Chicken Sweet Corn Soup, Steamed Pork Dumplings and Pork Chop Tan-Tan Noodles.. Each item was delicious but the flavor of Tan-Tan noodles with Peanuts was absolutely stellar.. The person who served me was VERY kind and attentive, helped recommend what to try and came around several times to check if I was enjoying the food They have a special dinner menu which I wasn t able to try so really looking forward to coming back here soon.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! Great Food, Kind People and Good Ambience Dietary restrictions: They asked specifically if I was allergic to peanuts before serving me the Tan-Tan Noodle dish
Just had Xmas eve dinner from here. Great food, always dependable cuisine. Prices area creeping up but haven t found anywhere better in the area. Best dishes imho are green beans, General tso chicken, ginger beef.
The best !!! So good
Really disappointed with the flavour and portion size. The sweet and sour sauce seemed bland and kinda watery. The chicken was also very chewy and over cooked. Edit: Down to one star as the 10% discount for pickup they advertised on their website was not applied to my bill.
Best Szechaun Ginger beef
Didnt end up going there.
There must be changes of chef ...I used to love ordering beef fried rice, black bean sauces beans, and lemon chicken , but everything was different in taste, how its spiced. My husband noticed it first and I will not order for takeout anymore.
We order seafood chowmein crispy and what we got is a few seafood and veggies not crispy no taste at all the worse seafood chowmien that we ever eat. Diff. Chef now , Who ever answering the phone is very RUDE!!! I told her I would like to order chefs special noodles and her answer is we dont have that I dont know what you are talking about instead of her saying sorry mam we dont carry those item all we have is...etc never going back to the restaurant again not recommended
The staff were friendly and helpful and the order was processed quickly. However the food was a little bland. I would go back but but with adjusted expectations.
Ordered take put the other day and our favourite place was mediocre... everything was doused in too much soya sauce, Hope it was was just an off night
All the classics I love, cooked to decicious perfection, at a good cost with tons of leftovers. Whats not to love???
Food was terrible. We ordered multiple dishes (kung pao chicken, mongolian beef, shredded pork and sweet and sour sauce) and all of them were basically one flavour (soy sauce) for some reason. The food was not fresh and looked like they were leftovers from a couple weeks ago.
Excellent food & service. After 11 years of dine in they have never disappointed. We ordered takeout last night and once again it was delicious. Their curry prawns, beef n brocoli, and spicy honey garlic chicken are a must have.
I ve ordered the hot and sour soup as well as spring rolls to go. It s really good and the portion size is great too. A small hot and sour soup is enough for 2-3 people depending on how much you share. Food is delicious. I d love to try more of their menu and to be able to dine in once they open up.
Great szechuan food, seriously try their ginger beef and Kung pao chicken. I do understand why they havent gone back to indoor dining... buy I do miss being able to sit down there.
wack dont go here
Pretty expensive for mediocre, greasy chinese style food.
Absolutely ridiculous service. I ordered delivery, the person who took my order took down my apartment info ( buzzer number and unit number ) the delivery driver would not come up to my unit then when I went down to pay he instantly looked at the receipt, got mad and questioned why I didnt tip him and continued to ask and ask why no tip until I just had to walk away. I would definitely tip if he actually followed instructions but that is completely rude.
Absolutely love the food here.
Tried here for a change. Very enjoyable but the higher prices will make me stick to my regular Chinese restaurant.
mmhh, delicious
This used to be my favourite restaurant and I ve literally spent thousands of dollars here but I m sad to say it s gone down hill in a big way and I won t go back. Not only the food quality is disappointing but the owner is very rude. Lots of better options in the area.
Really good food . Must try BBQ duck .Its amazing tasty.
great food and service
Great experience staff was exceptional . Made recommendations for the food . The food was hot and tasty I definitely will come again . One other mention the restaurant was very clean and well managed very clean
There s a reason why they ve been around as long as they have. Great value.
Been coming here for years, this place never fails to impress, the friendly staff and service, but especially the food quality and taste absolutely delicious!
Really amazing BBQ here
Good service, good food, nice atmosphere, what more could you want? and the waiters were A+
Always a treat, spacious, attentive waiters, excellent food and great DimSum
Went Here Last Night For Dinner Best Chinese Food i had in my lifetime
dont come here much but my first time was a good one
Delicious Chinese food
We had dinner there on Feb. 29. It is the second time a big group of us have eaten there in the past few months. The service was more than excellent. The food comes quickly and steadily and always with a smile. The food is the best Chinese food I ve had...ever. Thank you all very much.
Superb food and gracious service.
Disappointing customer service from the manager, Tommy. Been going to this place in the past while and service has been good, however when I went today for lunch, I did what I usually do, ordered then told staff to call me when its ready since I work in retail nearby, cant eat in store and lunch break is limited. This way Id sign out when the food was ready, I didnt want to order then waste 10 minutes of the break waiting. Normally staff would take down my number then give me a call. Today when I asked the server to give me a call after explaining the situation he repeatedly stated Im not going to call you and told me to either get takeout or come back in 3 minutes (judging from experience I knew it wouldnt be ready in 3 min.). It was obvious he understood the situation but was just unwilling to, giving excuses like hes too busy when it was 2:20PM on a Thursday and the place was empty. He later stood around while I came back and ate so clearly not too busy. Again disappointing and not up to usual standards as the entire scenario was avoidable. Other staff members have always provided good service its sad that someone who doesnt want to make the minimal effort was chosen as the manager.
We lived in Vancouver for 17 years and we never found Chinese food as good there as right here at Wah Wing in Coquitlam. The staff are super efficient and attentive. The food is so, so delicious we could eat there every day. We normally go for dim sum and the menu has lots of variety and choices including lunch specials that come with rice and soup. We are disappointed they arent open for takeout during Covid but we totally understand. We cant wait until they are open again!
Good food good service!
Very good food! The outside of the restaurant looks unappealing but inside is really nice. The waiter we had was a total hoot - super awesome guy!
Friday night and I ordered some Chinese food for pickup. I arrived at 8:15 p.m. and they closed the restaurant behind me at 8:20 p.m. it turns out that on a Friday night they were only open from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. does not forebode well for the future when they are only open for 4 hours on a Friday night!
Worst customer service ! Worst management service ! Rude to customer !!!!!!
I have been coming here since it first opened back in the 90s and they have improved ever since! The food is always consistent in terms of taste and quality and service is always great.
Friendly staff, quick service, good food and prices. Great BBQ duck! Looking forward to their in house Peking duck.
