2803 Shaughnessy St, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 3H1, Canada
Award winning Indian cuisine in Port Coquitlam BC. At Bombay Sweets, we serve authentic Indian food prepared using traditional methods of cooking. We are about staple Indian curries, tandoori breads and Indian rice, We also do catering service in Metro Vancouver.'
Amazing food and amazing people. We have ordered multiple times from here and every time the food tastes better and better. I'm happy we found this little food corner 😊
I've been here several times to buy samosa's and stopped by a couple of days ago. Normally the taste is perfect, but this time they were much more spicier than usual! Very disappointing and I did not like them at all. Please do not change your recipe and make the samosas more spicy! Change it back, or you'll be loosing customers.
Good portion. Competitive pricing. I tried the lamb saag and it was really good. Lots of lamb for the price too. Big tender chunks of lamb that wasn't overly dry. Large menu of authentic items.
Had no idea it existed until an Indian friend mentioned and recommended this take-out. Very tasty food and competitively priced.
I've ordered delivery from here many times. The food is excellent and they've never made a mistake with my order, so they seem to truly care about making the customer happy. Chicken Tikka Masala is absolutely flawless. Very flavourful, great combination of spices and aromas, generous amount of chicken, the sauce is nice and rich and so tasty. Goat curry is very good. The goat is cooked well enough that it comes off the bone nicely and isn't too firm. Lots of flavour and not gamey at all. Naan bread is cooked just the right amount, so tender and yummy. Other places often burn their naan, but here they take it out of the tandoor at the right time. Channa Samosa is also great. I haven't tried the sweets yet - next time :)
Very clean. My high school - Port Moody Secondary - used to always buy samosas from here for club events. Very fairly priced for solid food. I come here for lunches and especially for the sweet milk treats they offer. 12$/lb for milk sweets 8$/lb for non milk sweets
I really love lamb and decided to try two lamb dishes here. The first was the Lamb Tika Masala. It was a tomato based sauce that is not as creamy as butter chicken. Great flavour and the perfect amount of seasonings and spice at medium level. The second was Lamb Saag (spinach). Even though I requested medium level spice for this dish maybe because of the creaminess it was more mild tasting. Still very delicious though! We got a side of garlic naan which was alright but could have had more garlic flavor. Overall, the main dishes were great and portion size of the lamb were pretty decent. Definitely worth coming back and trying more.
Little shop, big flavour. Admittedly, I almost always order the veggies samosas. They’re hot, tasty, and $1.50 each. Can’t argue with the price. I’ve had a couple of other dishes from time to time and they’re consistently delicious and crave-worthy. Service is fast and with a smile. Parking can be challenging, especially at peak hours, but that’s not Bombay Sweets’ fault. Park across the road in the Safeway parking lot and you’re good to go. If you’re struggling to figure out what to do for dinner, the samosas are fun, tasty, and easy. I strongly recommend picking them up and walking10 feet to Lion’s Park to take in some nature and park ambiance while you enjoy your food.
Worst manchurian ever, there was no gravy in the manchurian even after Specially told them over the phone. We came from delta just for that. Pathetic experience Manchurian was not fresh and it upset my stomach too. Pathetic food. Will never visit again and spread wrong review to everyone I know for sure.
They have multiple vegan options and food is amazing!
The palak paneer, okra and malai kofta were amazing. Paratha and naans and raita were not the best
For food delivery they do not seal the bags whatsoever and the driver has full access to all the food, not even a single staple.
Bland and tasteless food. Dont know why they give spice level options if they just end up sending unpalatable and tasteless dishes. Used to be good but the food quality has deteriorated. Never again.
Very unfair. Called them and confirmed that I can order Paneer on Skip and Instead of 2lbs I only got 1lb for $18.
Great food, amazing prices, all options for allergens / preferences. Friendly service and never made a mistake in my years of going here.
Right behind Lions Park? Fast service? Excellent food (especially Samosas)? Check, check, extra check! This place is a classic.
Found this hidden gem occasionally! Bought butter chicken and Ladoo~ the ladoo was sooo gooood! Also would like to thank the very kind girl that works at the front desk patiently explained the indian sweets.
$1.50 vegetarian samosas and $4 chicken samosas. Everyone in my family loves them including the picky eaters. This tiny family run restaurant by Fruiticana on Shaughnessy has food made to order for you from scratch. So I would order ahead of time instead of having to wait for the food to be made. Its about 15 minutes.
Our family has been enjoying this hidden gem for years now and have always been very satisfied with the quality of the food. It has been consistently perfect over the years. Keep up the great work!
They offer take away in large sizes. Great taste and reasonably priced.
This restaurant foods is delicious and specially a tea is also amazing thank you sunny bagga bro for making tea for us
Veggie samosas aren t that great. Overpriced and oily

The Bombay Sweet is a must-visit for anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth with a taste of India!
A good variety of tasty dishes made to order to take out. Lamb dishes and vegetable samosas are our favorite.
Best Indian food around, still savoring it
Quick and Delicious food
Shrinkflation is real. Portions are a lot smaller than they used to be. Food was ok. Lack of flavour compared to what this establishment used to be.
Service has really gone down hill, they missed an item on our order and argued it was our mistake. I get it, mistakes happen, just do the right thing, life s too short to waste time on this. A simple apology for the error would have saved a loyal guest from not returning
The best place for Indian food and sweets. Went there first time just Loved it. Highly recommended
Tasty treats
Take-out only. The food is delicious, portions are good and they prepare it on time. 5 stars for food on its own, its our go-to Indian takeout place. Im giving it 4 stars because the prices went up while the sauces got thinner with less protein.
Food was delicious, great portions and prices. Our new go to for Indian
We ordered take out. Took us two days to eat it all. Fabulous food. Food
Dont buy kaju katli from this place. It doesnt taste like kaju katli at all. It tastes like other normal barfis. Very disappointed.
Great butter chicken but wheres was the rice?
Been going here a while and they usually forget to give me rice with my order.
I had a worst experience with staff members that I experienced in my entire life. They don t know how to talk with customers. They were very rude, specially one girl at the front. If people pay proper bills then you guys have to give them proper food.
Food was so delicious and the service was also excellent
Veggie Somosa here is amazing
Tried for the first time of chicken biryani and the chicken samosa. Edit: bought some of their samosas (10 samosas) in March 2024 and she charges me to pay for the bag while I asked some of the people that waited for their foods, she didnt charge them to pay for their bags. Food
I used to come here regularly with some of my family. I went here today after a long time and noticed that the staff was really rude to my mum and I after the restaurant made a mistake on our order. It was her actions that were rude toward us. This happened when the owner was in the parking lot. The food is always good but service is very important for me as a customer. If you don t mind terrible service and attitude from the staff, then keep going here. If kindness is very important to you than I m sure there are other restaurants we can try. I always see this Mexican restaurant called Si Señor (in the same plaza) that looks empty. Maybe try that place for a change.
Amazing food, top 3 Indian restaurants in the tri city area
A little gem in PoCo. Great eats at great prices in comparison to other Indian restaurants in the area. I usually call ahead to place my order then pick it up. Its not a dine in place. The staff are generally pretty nice. They do get pretty busy during peak hours but the wait for the food isnt too bad. Their goat curry and veg samosa are
The consistency with the food/flavor is top notch. Never seen that from a restaurant here in BC!!
Good food, amazing taste. Value for money. we had allo channa tikka ( which was served hot and nicely)and some sweets too. Highly recommended. Food
Bombay has quick tasty food for pick up. There pakora is soooo good. Always have great service and reasonable prices.
Great traditional recipe Indian. Best pakoras always
Amazing samosas! Super friendly staff. Will return to try more from their menu. Highly recommend!
best samosas
Samosas, Indian food and sweets. Fresh, fast, friendly!
Love the food and wonderful friendly service. Great little hole in the wall, family run establishment
Very friendly service and great food at a nice price. Right next to the Lions Park.
Changed it from 4 to 2. I got some chicken samosa earlier and it barely had any chicken mince. It was mostly chunky bits of onion, peas and spices and maybe tsp of bits of chicken mince. Quite disappointed with the veg samosa too.
I have not had this style of authentic home made Indian cuisine since I was a child visiting in my friends homes. Absolutely delicious. In my opinion, this is the best Indian cuisine that Coquitlam has to offer.
Cheers Bombay Sweets! I ve been going here since 2014 for the infamous veggie samosa and there s nothing quite like it. A Poco gem for sure.
Hands down best Indian food in area
This little hole in the wall has fantastic samosas not too spicy all their treats are good but I love those samosas. Prices are great actualy cheaper than most. Staff are friendly. Well worth the visit
Not a bad place for buying a quick snack. I would have liked if they had place to sit, but its pretty nice otherwise. The best thing about their menu is the veg samosas. They are really big in size and delicious! Will definitely visit many mlre times.
Bought lunch today and the food was barely palatable. As some who enjoys Indian cuisines a lot, this was a huge disappointment for me. Apparently, how nice the food tastes depends on the tip you give.
Poor customer service. Its unacceptable to be rude to a customer for ordering over the phone. Not everyone CAN or WANTS to use your convoluted and confusing online ordering system. The portion sizes have been cut down and prices have increased also. The food quality has gone down as well. Spend your money elsewhere.
One of the best Indian Food take-out outlets in the tr-cities. My go to for Indian snacks like samosa, pakora, tikki, chat, choley bhature etc. Main course is great too. Havent tried every dish but whatever has been tried has turned out to be decent so far. Would definitely recommend and continue to visit!!
Samosas cost too much. & Rude & condescending customer service. Looking at other reviews, many people agree with me. These people dont understand the concept of repeat customer. Wont be coming back.
Love the samosas and Jalebis. Our favorite to go when guests come home.
Excellent food , excellent customer service
Nice. Love lamb teka masala and the chicken one too
The place to go for Samosas in the tri-cities
Food taste is good, no doubt in that. But customer service is very very poor. Theyre are not treating people equally, which embarrassed everytime. Decide to stop visiting again.
Loved kaju Barfi, hot vegetable pakoda, Butter Paneer. Did not enjoy chicken and mutton options though. Had a bad experience with aloo samosa (will brush it off as one of thing) Food
Vegetarian options: Veg korma is really nice Food
We have ordered Indian food from many places in poco and this is by far the best. Perfectly spiced, understand what medium and hot spice is. 10/10 would recommend!
Its become a bit pricey but the flavours and the service are still outstanding. We normally order the basics mild spicy. Their sweets are also really good. Samosas a must. Only take out. You can order over the phone.
Ive only tried their veggie samosas, but they are always very good.
Amazing food every time. Great for take out when having fun at lions park
Their Samosas are awesome.
Give this place a special status as a heritage site or something! Best Indian food in PoCo, hands down. Samosas are a classic and the sweets are will blow your mind. Prices remain reasonable too! The menu is extensive so you are guaranteed to come back so you can try something new.
Great food to go. The veggie samosas are very big and filling!
The best place, best indian food. Amazing taste and quality.
Excellent takeout place for Indian food. They are really quick and the food is always consistent. For snacks their Chana samosa is great and so are their stuffed tandoor parathas
Excellent samosas, naan bread and sweets at a reasonable price. Not the quickest service, even if you order ahead of time, but the food is worth the wait.
Have been coming for their great samosas but lately they have become exorbitantly expensive. When a samosa costs more than a tai pau from Newton Bakery . . .. .. . .
food is ok. portions are very small if comparing to quality and cost. a treat here and there. take out only. and very small space mostly need to wait for your food outside
I ordered 15 veggie samosas. For the tamarind sauce was half full in the big foam container. I also ordered a large mint chutney and got a tiny black container. The people are rude and they eat and serve in front of customers. Everytime I go in that restaurant theres a guy sitting there and talking in his ear piece. He is very rude and doesnt care about the customers as I do speak his language.
I had really bad food it cost me around 80 dollar qhich is waist i would never by food from here I order dal makhni which looks and taste like superstore frozen food.i order malai kofta which like a brick eating i order manchurian it has a burn oil taste in it. Over all it was realy bad experience . I dont think i will ever by food from them .only the samosa were ok but who knows when it loose it taste as it loose food taste. I would only give 0 star if thers was option.
Fantastic veg samosas for $1.50 each, and theyre big round ones done right. Dump out the fridge baby, the kids eat samosas from now on!
SAMOSAS ARE THE BEST!
Perfect taste of indian food, we loved palakpaneer and they are very famous for the veggie samosas
I called this place a few minutes ago to order a masala chai tea and she said she couldn t make it because they were busy. I questioned why she said that and then she continued to repeat the same thing back to me and then I hung up afterwards.
Best Indian food in Po/Coquitlam, easily. I ve had them all in BC, and most of them are terrible, seriously. This place always hit the spice level perfect, and the flavour is on point. Bad reviews are just people who ordered the wrong stuff from here.
I tried their chola bhatura. It was amazing and price is very affordable for everyone
This place reminds me for the saying all good things come in small size. Front of store is small but their customer service. Their smile and their food quality is big. Very clean, polite and quality of food is always perfect. The food Size and prices are fair, too. My favourite item Is their chicken samosa I can say they have by far the best samosa in lower mainland. I did try almost 25 other places In Surrey and delta but this store wins the first place. thanks
Best samosas I ve had. I ve travelled internationally with at least a dozen. Remember airlines don t offer you free food.
Love Bombay Sweets! Always super delicious and flavorful. But when did they stop doing combos with rice? My last combo order I was told they no long do that? Food
Its a take out place and staff are efficient. Food is always consistent and tasty. Reliable place for quick grabs. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options to choose from.
This place made me love indian food. The tika masala has got to be one of the best restaurant dishes in the lower mainland. Great samosas too which are fairly priced compared to other places. Takeout is always on time.
Im not a big fan of Indian food, but this is my must have every time Im in the area. Curry lamb is flavorful and cooked perfectly.
Everything is just great about this place. Only a couple of other Canadian stores are at par with Samosa quality provided by Bombay Sweet. This is our go to place!
Excellent! Ordered chicken biryani, fish pakora, and dal makhni. At other times I get the veg samosa which are among the best.
The food is great especially the samosas but not the place to eat in for sure.
I love their food but they just reduced their take out portions quite dramatically :(
We used Bombay Sweet s catering service for several wedding events at our house, including some onsite cooking. They far exceeded our expectations. Our guests were impressed with great menu choices, delicious food and exceptional service. We will definitely use them again.
My first visit which went well. Food prepared quickly for a walkin order. The Veg Samosa was wonderful. Butter chicken (very good) & Naan made for a good meal for two! Food : 4/5
Best samosas and gulab jamuns in Metro Vancouver. Their service is prompt, staff is courteous and food is just amazing. Do try their Chole Bhature and Amritsari Kulcha. Vegetarian options: Lots of choices, with option to choose on the spice level
The best Indian cuisine in the tricities!
The Bombay sweets offers online ordering which is very easy to use. They have a large variety of foods to choose from. We have a standard selection we always go for and we are never disappointed. The food is always hot and delicious! Would definitely give this place a try! Vegetarian options: They offer quite a few vegetarian options that dont lack in flavor! Parking: The Bombay sweets is located in a busy strip mall so finding parking is not always an easy thing
Really good Indian food and its affordable and a big portion that lasted me a couple of days. Really small hidden gem that youll miss driving by. Theres nothing like some good curry and naan on a cold day. services always quick and speedy
Very consistent good quality food. Their lam biryani is super tasty and give you generous portions of lamb. Their veggie pakoras are also super tasty and come with tamarind and mint chutney. Note their mild for the biriyani still has a little kick as the meat is marinated. Its a take out joint, no sit in eating.
Tasty Samosas from here only
the food is very delicious ajj dilwali a lot gaint food ehna sawad k pind di yaad agi specially pkode veery gaint
Delicious food with great vegan options. Always my go to spot for Indian food.
Great food!
Amazing food here!
Wow just amazing taste and quality and quantify
First time ordering from here and was amazing. Tasted great portions were above normal. The mild was very mild and can be enjoyed by anyone who doesnt prefer spice (my child). My wife and I went with medium was great but will kick it up a level next time. Very impressed will be my go to from now on.
Best Indian food I ve ever had. Vegetable samosas are outstanding, their curry sauces are delicious, always busy. Highly recommend.
Awesome Indian food, always stop here when Im in the area.
they serve best samosas in tri-cities. food is decent too
Hmm i know this restaurant since 1st day of opened now looks little pricey now
Always very slow for food. They have over 8 people in the kitchen and still somehow always fall behind. Always a bad experience getting deliveries here.
The best flavourful lamb dish ever.
There isnt a single week which I havent had Samosas or without ordering food from this restaurant since the day I started residing in Port Coquitlam. Veggie Samosa, Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken and Coconut shredded Jamun are my favorites. Usually I prefer to order online before leaving to the restaurant rather than waiting outside the restaurant, that saves my time as well. Thank you!
best samosas in tricities!
Food is great, little bit on Expensive side. Sweets are pathetic.
Came here for first time today lady at the counter was very helpful and nice. Butter chicken and veg samosa was very yummy. 10/10 for customer service.
Absolutely delicious! Good prices for size of servings. Great food! My new favourite!
Nothing special. Food is unpredictable. Sometimes good. Sometimes they make very silly mistakes.
Best indian food in port couqutlum
Recommend fish pakora. Have tried this dish at other restaurants in the lower mainland and this by far our familys go to favorite. Wait times can be long due to small venue (takeout only). Another suggestion when ordering is to opt in for the combo which includes naan and rice. They also have an assortment of indian sweets and indian snacks. If in the Tri City area, this is one of the best Indian takeout restaurants.
Ist time there. I was getting something for someone else but was nicely surprised at the place. Next time I fancy some Indian food I will definitely try their food for myself
Best Samosas in Canada
I love to order food from this restaurant, I am obsessed with all the food that I have tried from their restaurant. I highly recommend
Great Indian food! We moved to the area six months ago and we were excited to find a take out place with good quality and freshness. We have tried other Indian restaurants in the tricities and this one has been the best in our honest opinion. I dont normally take the time out to write a review but I felt they deserve to be recognized. The young woman who works at the front desk is delightful to interact with. She is polite and considerate - today she offered to package our sweets in separate containers so that they would not get soggy. During Diwali they are super busy and you can see just how hard all the staff are working to quickly serve the long line ups. yet they are always courteous and professional. The sweets we ordered (Gulab Jamun and Besan Ladoo) were clearly made fresh and prepared in-house. You could taste the perfect amount of cardamom in the Gulab Jamun - their pastry chef is very talented and I appreciate knowing that the sweets that I am giving to my kids is fresh. For dinner we ordered naan, chili chicken, malai kofta and vegetable biryani. All delicious. I have found ordering online and then picking up my order has been the best option to save time. Another added perk is that Its right next to Fruiticana, so I can do my Indian grocery shopping and then pick up my order on my way home. Thank you for cooking quality food for our family, we appreciate it! :)
Awesome food and fast friendly staff!!! always a pleasure!!
had samosas and butter chicken with naan bread, very good will come again and again.
One of the better Indian cuisine in the area
Butter chicken was the best and the garlic Nan was killer
Great place for picking up Indian snack foods (pakoras, samosas, chaat and sweets). Love the chutneys. This is not an eat-in place; just order to go. Fast, friendly service.
Great shop, we had hot somasa. Although sweets were not so great.
Their chat papdi is mine favourite in Poco
Love the veg samosa at this place, but now veg samosa size has got smaller and price is high $1.25. Please bring same size or price down back to $1.
Good serving sizes, great authentic food with obviously real ingredients. Friendly staff. Part of our monthly rotation. Highly recommended if you re local to PoCo.
Very good eats , snacks and sweets
Love this place and always enjoy their take out especially the samosas.
Best Indian food in town with very friendly staff.
My favourite Indian restaurant. It s always busy and everything I ve ordered is incredible. Could eat from here once a week!
The food was great and the staff were amazing! Will definitely come back.
I came in for just a garlic naan (which is amazing by the way). The restaurant was quite busy so my order took a while. Nevertheless, even if my order was very small, they offered 2 samosas on the house for the delay. I was pleasantly surprised! Amazing food and amazing service!
When I tried their lamb biryani for the first time a few months ago, I loved it. But yesterday I ordered second time and it didnt taste as good as before.
If you want any South Indian food , this is not the place to visit . Veggie dishes are ok but non veg dishes are very bad .
Delicious curries, their naan in particular was made really well.
They have the best samosas in North America. Kid-friendliness: Big park behind the restaurant.
Pathetic customer service!
Loved the food. Also the staff was friendly and welcoming. A big thumbs up
I just visited the place just this morning. I loved the samosas that they have and the staff as really nice too. Will surely visit here again for those delicious samosas.
Our favorite Indian restaurant. They have the most delicious food and prices are not too bad. We used to live near there and eat every week, then we bought our place and had to move away but we still drive to there once in a while to get some delicious food as we tried other Indian restaurants closer to us but nothing can beat this one. Also I will never forget one time we went out for a walk down the river, what was supposed to be a quick walk we ended up going down around gates park and colony farm and back up through gates park and lions park.. We didnt have water neither money with us so I walked in and ask for water, I said just a glass of tap water as we didnt have money but the guy gave us a bottle of mineral water and said not to worry about money. Such a great man, we were so thirsty and I will always remember that day. Vegetarian options: I think they have veggie options. Parking: Lots of parking available.
Just recently discovered this place. Delicious!
got steel wire in naan bread
got steel wire from naan good job
Food is good but now the dishes are $3 more and the dishes are 2/3 of what they used to be.. doubt I will go back.. raise the price make the portions smaller. No thanks you got me once not again...
Terrible service placed a catering order and we were missing 6 entire dishes. Already waited 20 minutes extra which I had no problem with until I found out 6 dishes were missing and their restaurant was closed. Staff hung up on me on the phone and decided not to do anything about it. AVOID
Very good customer service
Food was amazing. customer service is great and staff is very friendly
We are frequent customers however the last 2 months we were away - what has changed with this place? The quality of samosas has diminished considerably? And no pakoras!! Very disappointed! Bring those veggie samosas back!
We liked Samosa from here earlier but since last 3 times they are serving double fried Samosa in the evening that is not good in taste and frying them again is an attempt to sell stale food to the customers. This time we specifically asked that if they are double friend then we don t need them but still they ended us giving double fried ones. Had a horrible feeling after eating these Samosas and will be the last time we had it from this place.Never expected this from them and very disappointed in their food quality and service.
Fish pakora is amazing , friendly and fast service. Sweets are fresh and yummy.
I like this place, food is tasty, prices affordable. The only thing I dont like is the turned on, laud tv program with east Indian music. Oh well, I guess I dont have to go there very often.
Love department barfi
This place rocks. Some of the most tasty Indian dishes you can get in the tri-cities. Havent had a bad or even mediocre meal ever. I actually crave Bombay Sweet. Id recommend particular dishes but theres too many for this post.
Ive eaten at the various Indian eateries in Vancouver. There are other places with more authentic and better tasting curries and there are other places with lower prices, but this is my go-to place in the Tricities for flavorful and authentic curries at affordable prices. Highly recommended.
Ordered chicken samosas and was given veggie. Last couple of times theyve gotten my order wrong, refused to acknowledge it or make it right. Spent $70 and I tipped 15%. What a joke. Last time I go there.
Great food. Love it, I have it often.
Only takeout, good Indian food and sweets.
Wow! Amazing quality! The biryani, chicken curry, lamb curry, chicken samosa second day eating the left overs and still fighting who gets what!
Vegetarian options: Wow!! Your stuffed naan were absolutely sooo tasty. My guests (from Surrey) asked where I got these tasty stuffed potato naans!!! Yes, PoCo!!! Thank you Bombay Sweets You made my luncheon an absolute hit with your awesome fish pakoras, paneer tikka and Chaat and of course the stuffed naan. And all the added sauces you sent along ST.
Sweet and spicy. Enjoy their Samosa
The better Bombay in the area. Good food and consistent taste and quality. Wish the potatoes were softer though.
