Great cozy place. The donairs were average. The chicken was the tastiest. Very expensive for what it was. $43 for 1 large and 2 small donairs and a drink. Tried it but unfortunately we will not go back. The customer service could improve, we were not met with much kindness. I even got in trouble for trying to leave a google review and snapping some pictures being kind and saying nice things about this restaurant. FYI it is a public place and there are no laws to prevent filming. There is no washroom which I believe is against code. There is sign saying nobody is allowed in there and not out of service. Strange. Nice place though. Cozy. Your welcome for the review. Cheer up guys!
Where I grew up we only had Subcity’s for donairs… I half heartedly didn’t want to post this review just so I could keep this place for myself lol. These donairs aren’t for the faint hearted and this place means some serious business. So either try them out or just leave them to rest of us! Haha
Really lovely service from Uncle Moe at Uncle Moe’s donair. Grateful for the vegan option of the felafel plate! Hope they can add more vegan and vegetarian options in the future.
Small parkling lot right beside it which is convenient. It is tucked away from the main spots for restaurants though so not a lot of traffic here. The prices are fantastic. Around 12 something for a platter. These days it's up to 15-17. I expected less quantity but they give big portions. The lady serving me was very detailed oriented, slowly stacking the salad making sure pieces dont fall over. The hummus was in a small plastic container that is put into one section of the platter plate. It'd be less waste if they just plopped on the hummus like other places. They give plenty of meat to cover the rice. I asked for extra garlic sauce and they were happy to give it. The chicken was nice. Not dry. The lamb however was soggy like it was steamed too long after shaving the pieces. The rice was also disappointing and was way overcooked and soggy. I think they could be a really great place if they can fix the sogginess of the rice and lamb.
To be honest, I couldn't finish my donair. It was DELICIOUS but TOO BIG!! I got the smaller lamb fries donair so I can't imagine how big the "large" must be. The price is very good too. Also, this is the best looking donair place I have ever been to in the tri-cities. It's tastefully decorated with real plants and great art. A very relaxing and excellent place. However I do suggest they add a bit more sauce to the donairs. If you come, ask for that! Apart from this, it is very recommended.
A gem. This was our first time trying Uncle Moe's and we had such a great experience. We were warmly welcomed by every face in there, each person said hello with a smile. The lady behind the counter (I'm assuming the owner?) welcomed us as if we were long-time customers and because of this we instantly knew the food here would be made with love. The atmosphere was very warm and family-oriented. It makes you feel like you're in a safe space and it is very comfortable in there. We ordered the donair combos, I had beef with everything and all sauces and my partner had chicken with everything but no hot sauce. The combos came with fries and a can of pop. These are some of the best donairs we've ever eaten! And they were huge! The beef and the chicken were season nicely and they were very juicy and fresh. They load it up with meat! The vegetables were fresh, crunchy, and juicy.. it was pleasant. And the sauces were flavourful and delicious. They put just the right amount of everything in these donairs, all of the flavours balance out perfectly. The fries are their own catagory- they are so fresh and crispy! Wow! No seasoning or salt is needed on these fries, they are delicious by themselves. We did, however, put the last few bites of our donairs into the fries and mixed it up. And it was a fantastic combination. Highly recommend. We will be back to try the poutine when we are in the area. My partner has their heart set on 1 donair place in vancouver as their all-time favorite but they said Uncle Moe's is easily the next pick. As for myself, I say Uncle Moe's has the best donair. All in all I would highly recommend this place to any donair lover, you will not be disappointed in any aspect! 5 stars all across the board. Small take out / sit down venue with a good one page of selections. Reasonable prices with reasonable portions. Food is made fresh. Platter can choose between rice and fries. Rice was a bit spicy but very flavourful. Fresh veggies on the side. Dining area is clean and not overcrowded. Small parking lot shared with adjoining businesses but not very busy. Overall great experience.
Family run business serving the local community with great service. They have a nice selection of Donner with veg and non veg options. We really enjoyed our wraps and rice dishes. If passing through this town or live around it then definitely try it and you wont be disappointed.

Second time around, had the chicken donair the first time and it was perfect, had the chicken and rice platter this time and it was excellent, Ive never had chicken from a donair place that tasted that good. They have excellent service as well. Highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work!
The donairs are the best in the TriCities. The combination of all their sauces takes it to the next level. The beef poutine is slightly salty to my liking so I may just opt for their regular poutine next time.

Tried the falafel wrap here for the first time. I really like that they made fresh falafel and it was hot and crispy, however, it took them at least 15-20 mins to prepare my order when there was no other customer in the restaurant. Perhaps they had online orders they were working on. Secondly, I asked for my wrap to be spicy and it was pretty bland, no flavours sticking out. I ll probably go back again and have them make it infront of me so I can choose my toppings and spice level.
Incredible food! I have never been disappointed by this place. Homemade falafel is a must try. And dont miss out on the rest of the menu (the poutine and baklava are also highlights). Vegetarian options: Their falafel is honestly some of the best I have ever had.
Ive been here many times but this last time I ordered off of skip the dishes. I asked for extra gravy and within about 10 minutes I get a call from Moe asking me for my address as he forgot the extra gravy. Sure enough he comes by and hand delivers it! He definitely didnt have to do that but it just goes to show how much he cares about his customers. Incredible food, great ownership, incredible experience. Thank you Moe!

Tried the chicken Donair. It had a different flavour to it than I m used to (almost smokey). Also it seemed like there was a sweet sauce in the Donair. Just different from what I m used to but overall wasn t my cup of tea.
I always come here when I would like it done are big enough to get me some leftovers the next day. The large is extremely large and the meat is delicious!

I came in to order lunch for myself and my boyfriend and wow! This was the best donair we ve had in a long time. I got a lamb rice plate, a lamb poutine and a baklava, the lamb was fresh shaved, thin, juicy and flavourful & the rice was to die for with an extra generous portion! The poutine was also really top notch, gravy wasn t too salty and the lamb was the perfect addition. The baklava was sweet and flaky! The staff was also so kind, welcoming and fast, it s Safe to say we ve found our new favourite donair spot.
We had a falafel and a donair, not soggy or too saucy. Both had really big proportions. The falafel was well spiced and the donair was really tender. Baklava is huuuge! Service is amazing, love the family run business. The place is nice, with non-commercial art, houseplants, tv and a freezer. I love the plants and something like a freezer. The atmosphere is blend of a restaurant and family members house, which makes you feel at home. As you should, youre at Uncle Moes after all. Areas for improvement; we ordered spicy-not hot enough...I will ask to make it extra, extra spicy next time. Do something more with the tv-play music on it, sports, menu loop, ect. Nice business folks, overall you have a really great operation.

This place is such a great gem! I come here often during work lunch hours and order ahead and they ve never kept me waiting. The price is of great value because they offer generous hearty portions. After having tried most of the menu, I still find it difficult to choose which is the best! You can never go wrong with their wrap, plates or poutines. Also picking up an Istek beverage is a must.
Donairs are good
Never had a bad meal in 7 years and Ive had the whole menu. Delicious, affordable, and fast service Donair and platters, they even have a great poutine. Baklava is always flakey and sweet - dont leave without one.

Amazing donair from a local family business
Great donairs here! Fresh veggies and meat. Generous portions. Did not feel gross and bloated after eating it as I often do from donair. Had the regular chicken donair. I would go here again for sure. High quality and didnt get all soggy even though they put a good amount of sauce on. Very kind people as well and hygienic food handling.
The chicken is being heated up in a pan after its being sliced from a cold, previouly rotating spit... so its far from being fresh, and the taste is accordingly. Obviously, its light years from tasting good.
The only reason I didnt give it five stars is because one time I said not spicy. The red sauce tasted more like hot spicy sriracha. Normally it tastes like a slightly spicy tomato sauce at other Donaire places with a little bit more flavour and less spicy content. In regards to the red sauce Im going to give some advice. The red sauce can either make or break a donair. Given that theres no competition to be more spicy flavour is definitely a more of an important objective. Make your red sauce a little less spicy and more flavour. Your sweet sauce is amazing!

This is the best donair place I had in Vancouver and let me tell you why for multiple reasons: -Warm and CARING welcome (this sadly becomes rare in Van and business owners take customers granted) -Food quality: Absolutely amazing. Don t believe me, go ahead and try it out and you ll see what I m talking about! Also see the image -Portion/Price: I think this absolutely nails the ration but if I m frank I get way more food here than what I pay compare to many food places out there. So, special thanks to owners to make a difference and caring with people bigger appetite -Atmosphere: This is only place you can give 4/5 star but I gave 5/5 anyway as outside seating in sunny day was absolutely amazing. Inside seems to be small so plan your visit ahead of time if you come in with a family. That s all I have to say! Now you finish reading, stop mingling around! Go taste what I m talking about Parking: It s a small complex with roughly 20 car parking shared with tenants Wheelchair accessibility: The doors do not have auto entry for wheelchair.

Absolutely the best donair place weve been to in the lower mainland. Their half fries half rice platter is my go-to! Highly recommend! I just had their donair wrap, for the first time. I was hungry, so ordered a large. It turned out to be the size of my face! Im not exaggerating at all! Taking half of it home. The meats are always tender and filled with flavor. The veggies are always fresh.

Theres a saying: Good, cheap, fast. Pick two. Best falafel of anywhere Ive been in the lower mainland. Its made fresh and is very flavourful. Meat options are good as well. The portions are sizeable, the prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly. Only downside is Ive never visited and gotten my food in less than 15 minutes even when its quiet, so plan accordingly if youre looking for a fast in and out. Well worth the wait as everything is made with love!

Best donair in the Tricities
Service is good. Courteous and fast. The menu was in an odd place. Half of the TV menu was down, so they had an old paper menu on a table. Taped down and the prices changed with a pen. It was not too bad. 2 tables and bar tables along the wall with stools. Visible cobwebs. The food was only okay. Ordered chicken wrap. The meat was salty and somewhat tough. The vegetables were plentiful but did not have many different types. It was just lettuce, onions, and a cucumber slice. I would not go back since it is far for me.
Amazing family owned business. Exceptionally reasonable prices, massive servings (generous serving of meat), such polite staff and great tasting food. We visited Vancouver from Australia and visited every day sifter discovering this place.

Donair is 1/10, almost tasted like I was eating a piece of pizza. The chicken had this tomato sauce taste to it. Simply gross, hardly any flavour whatsoever and I feel like they didn t even add the hummus I wanted. Also the baklava must ve been sitting for awhile as it was crunchy to bite into. Not sure how there are so many good reviews? as I thought the food was mediocre. Much much better donair places around town. First and last time I come here. Update: gave this place another go, they can t seem to get it together. Lacking flavour in every department, from the veggies to the sauces to the meats. Sad.

Quality not same as 2022. This time I ordered Chicken Wrap. I realized it was bit more drier and less sauce. Also felt that I was overcharged. $10 for a Chicken Wrap? If not wrong your menu displayed $9.29 and if I add in GST I would expect $9.75 after taxes but was charged $10 (before tips). I understand everyone feels inflation pain but sometime greedflation can cost a business be it small or big corp. Please do improve your quality and be transparent with charges it helps build customer confidence - advice from a business owner.
The service is amazing, great family. The food is great, the regular donair is literally the biggest I ve ever seen, my friend ordered the large and it was insanely big. Never complaining though, we love left overs . We will be back and I cannot wait.
The beef platter is delicious! Very friendly staff and great portions. My partner got a donair with lamb, beef and chicken. It was huge and couldnt even finish it. I recommend this place, its our new spot for donairs!

TL;DR - Food was good, portions were good service was excellent! We ordered through DoorDash and unfortunately our driver forgot part of our order and refused to go back and get it. The restaurant got in touch with us and they personally drove out the missing items! Who does that? Very well done we will be returning for sure. As for the food we got a chicken wrap, beef wrap and poutine .all good but honestly we were surprised by the poutine it was very good.

Food was very good! I had the chicken platter and hubs had the mixed grill with lamb and chicken. We both agreed that the food was excellent. The meat was perfectly seasoned. The rice was tasty. I had the hummus and shared with baby, we both loved it. Its a shame its not more customizable but still very tasty. The service was good; there was a bit of a wait but they offered us a seat. The space is bare; kind of what you would expect in a donair spot so not surprising.

Ordered for pickup in advance because I was in a rush. When arrived, no one even started my order even 5 mins after so I had to leave. The donairs are good though but customer service is not a priority.

I love this place. I get so excited when my husband brings home the beef plate. Its just too good! For lunch today, we ordered 3 chicken, 1 lamb and 1 beef for his parents to try and they loved it. We will keep coming back. ***update** We stopped coming here, the last time was 6 months ago and everytime we order ahead of time, we still end up waiting for our food. Today, my husband picked up some food, poutine, 2 beef plates and leg donair. He called ahead of time , and when he got there, he still had to wait for 25 minutes. My advise, dont bother ordering over the phone because they dont make your food until you get there. And even that you still have to wait. The poutine used to be decent size, but today was alot less.
This place is a gem! The family that runs it is Persian and they must have added their touch into what is traditional Arabic cuisine, and its amazing! Their (basmati dill) rice with the meats ...so tasty. Their meat is succulent (many places serve them dry) and full of flavor, uncompromised. I also tried their Falafel wrap and also Lamb wrap. Fantastic. They are lighter in sauces than other stores but the flavor is just so darn good, and juicy at the same time. Ok, I prefer a traditional Levant style hummus but other than that, this place is a must go for me. Thank you for blessing us with the food you serve. 18 hour edit: I ate the lamb wrap the next day and it wasnt mushy. The pita is still dry and not soggy. In fact, the whole wrap is intact and I could cut it in half easily, and the best part - the veggies were still crisp. And the donair meat is still moist. Wow, it even passed the morning after test. Thats impressive.

This place rocks my socks off. Super great value and amazing food. 13 dollars for a meal thats almost enough for 2. It feeds me for 2 meals which is great as a starving artist. My favorite is the lamb platter with extra spicy sauce!

The owners are very welcoming and acknowledge customers and drivers well. Food preparation time is swift for a small family business. The greek salad, however needs more sauce. It tastes healthy as is, but I dont mind more flavour than just tomato, cucumber and lettuce.
