Food & service is awesome, but this establishment has a stinky rag smell. Not sure if their cleaning towels need to be washed or replaced? Or perhaps they should change the mop head when mopping the floors? Hard to enjoy our meals with that terrible smell lingering in the restaurant. We come here every weekend hoping the smell would be gone, but so far no luck.

The staff at this restaurant are so kind and helpful, especially Dani, one of the managers! I had an awful experience with Uber eats essentially stealing money from me for an order I accidentally placed and cancelled within seconds. I put in the correct order but Uber did not notify Earls in time, so they unfortunately wasted their provisions making the cancelled order as well. Uber vehemently refused to refund me, but Dani came through like an angel and offered to give me store credit for a future visit. All employees should take notes because this is gold standard customer service. Thank you so much!

On top of it Earls had set up a birthday card and lovely flowers for the birthday girl. I have been to this location a few times and every time the food is yummy and the staff are wonderful. My wife, Kymm, 13 year old daughter had a fantastic experience at Earls in Poco. Open Table was not available. We decided to do a walk in and try our luck. They told us it was a 45 min wait but had a few tables ready to leave if we wanted to wait. While I was waiting, I ran into two colleagues that was already seated at another table. We waited for 15 mins and they were able to give us a table. Anjolie was our server and she was fantastic! Before I was seated, I wanted to buy two of my colleagues a glass of wine and have it on my bill. My colleagues then returned the favour and bought me a drink. Anjolie not only was able to managed all the in between drink arrangements between my colleagues and I, she was able to attend to all the needs between my wife, 13 year old and I. Anjolie had a fantastic memory of my order. When the kitchen made a slight mistake with my order, Anjolie in her walk by to check on us spotted the slight error right away and had it fixed. Meanwhile, the restaurant was busy and Anjolie running from table to table. Despite how busy she was, Anjolie never skipped a beat. She was very personable with my family. She was great at her job and really made our experience at Earls that much better! If anyone get a chance to have her as a server, I guarantee you won t be disappointed. - Garrie.

We came to Earls on Shaughnessy for a special dinner, and we were actually taken aback by how well we were treated. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience, the food was delicious (could have eaten 100 sushi tacos), and their Negroni is one of the best I ve tasted. When you dine at a place such as Earls, you expect a certain standard, but I would say our expectations were exceeded When there was an issue, it was immediately corrected and our server and all staff were all quick to take very good care of us. I had an extremely disappointing experience at Earls restaurant. We requested to sit on the patio, and the hostess asked us to wait while they cleaned a table for us. After waiting for 10 minutes, we were shocked to see her give the table to another family without any explanation. When we asked about it, she simply said there were no available spots, despite having just told us the table was being cleaned for us. There was no mention of a reservation or booking, and it felt like we were completely disregarded. The hostess had a fake smile and a half-hearted sorry. This level of service is unacceptable, and I expected far better from a place like Earls.

I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I ve ever had, thanks to her outstanding service. From the moment we sat down, Anjolie made us feel like we were her top priority, providing attentive, personalized service that truly enhanced our evening. What really stood out was her genuine warmth and friendly demeanor, making us feel welcome and cared for without being overbearing. Even as the restaurant got busier, Anjolie remained calm, efficient, and attentive, always checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. I just want to say how fantastic our server Theo and Amid who was helping him out were. They were both polite, attentive and funny. These two guys deserve recognition for a job well done. You can tell how much they enjoy their jobs.

We had the most wonderful experience on Saturday , September 13, 2024 at Earl Kitchen and Bar..my brother in law was in town from Red Deer, Alberta on this date as he was attending a Celebration of Life for our son. We decided to take him to dinner at the last minute as it was his birthday. I phoned to make reservations and hoped Earls could accommodate us. The restaurant said yes at 5:15 pm and that was great for us as we lived very close and we walked to the restaurant. We were greeted with enthusiasm and excitement from the staff at the front desk. Omg, this was such a great feeling as we had a difficult day saying goodbye to our beautiful son earlier that day. The servers were then outstanding and treated with respect and kindness, not knowing that were very sad after losing our son. We appreciated your service and the food was delicious. When we walked home we all commented how great the experience had completed our evening. Thanks, again

Little by little my wife and I are switching from our favourite pub in Port Moody to Earls Port Coquitlam as our new favourite. We like going every Friday or Saturday night for beer and pizza or calamari. The atmosphere is pleasant and service is great.

Uncooked fettuccine Alfredo, garlic bread was extra, okay spinach artichoke dip, overall an okay experience

Amys attentiveness was impeccable. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring that our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It was my first time at the bar top at earls poco location. And lord I must say Abyd was the absolute best, I mean this guy whips up a great drink. Please do yourself a favour and come to earls and sit at the bar top and get serviced with Abyd. I do wish that the management had 1800 coconut tequila and sour beers that would make this place greater even with Abyd working.

I came a few days ago and everything was amazing from the atmosphere to the service. Liam especially did a great job on suggestions and answered all of our questions, will come again!

I ordered a steak sandwich, and the quality of the meat was great, but they didnt add any sauce, cream, or ... . So it was good but not delicious. The prices are high but the quantity of food is not enough. My husband was hungry after ate his burger .

We were party of 7 and celebrating my sister birthday. service was extremely late and we had to complain for the delay service after we had finished our appy to my surprise a young boy ( manager) came to us and said the server is not willing to serve you and she is crying because we complained for delay service, and we have to leave the place. I personally talked to the manager and apologized 2 times but he refused to having us there to finish my sister birthday party. Unfortunately it was very bad experience for her and she is crying on her birthday which made all of us so sad. I am a business owner my self for over 20 years and I know how business works and I learned ALWAYS CUSTOMER IS RIGHT no matter what. Not only they lost over $500 tonight also they lost my future business as well as all my family and friends. I am so regret for the owner that he have unexperienced staff and they dont know how to run the business, specially on Saturday night. I would never go back and tell anyone I know dont go there ever. On the other hand they charged me over $250 with no discount with very rude attitude. I was not looking for any trouble on my sister birthday otherwise I wouldnt let it go that easy for him. I wouldnt recommend port coquitlam Earls if you have any celebration because you dont know if they will kick you out with very rude attitude. Very Disappointed

Unfortunately they have two young ,un professionals and rude manager . They have no idea about customer service. On my B day party they asked us to leave the restaurant because we just complained that the service is too late . And they asked us to pay $250 for appetizer and I am not sure if it was right or no I did not even check the bill I just paid. So ridiculous. This business is going down soon with this management.

Exactly what youd expect with Earls - attractive and friendly staff and a ridiculously large and varied menu catering to every possible palate

My dinner was the featured Truffled Parmesan Chicken, which came with arugula, mushrooms, and gnocchi. The small dumplings were less soft than desirable, but the chicken and sauce were perfect. Worthy of ordering again, for sure. My partners plate was Butternut Squash Ravioli with prawns. Regular diners at Earls have enjoyed that Feenie-inspired dish for years. Its always good. Service on this Sunday evening was fine but the room was too loud. My phones decibel meter measured a peak of 95 dB with an average in the high 80s. The U.S.C.D.C. says levels of 80dB to 85dB can damage hearing with one to two hours of exposure. While diners may experience a low risk of damage, staff members are likely affected. Restaurant chains aim to have high noise levels and make design choices so that sounds are not moderated.

Great for lunch and brunch. The new decor is very nice!! We visited today and our Server Nikhil was really great. Service and food was awesome too. The new menu is really nice. We would love it if Earls brought back zucchini sticks for an appetizer in future. Well be back again soon. Thank you!

I adore. There is a lot of atmosphere, the music is perfect and the servers are just wonderful. You feel good there from the first visit and I have already returned twice. Its always a great atmosphere and a delicious meal for an affordable price.

Appetizers are always so good here. Highly recommend the chicken tenders, the artichoke dip and the avocado dip. The waitresses always look so pretty every single time I go and they are always super nice. I got a steak one time and that did not taste very good but besides that one time my overall experience has always been pretty good, and the food has always tasted consistent. I have noticed that the artichoke dip and bread ratio has changed over the years. The dip is enough for like four pieces of bread, but they give you like 10 pieces . Anyways, I recommend checking them out for drinks and appetizers.

Overrated restaurant given its price and competition. I ordered Salmon + Feta Caper Aioli. It came on a bed of rice and asparagus. The salmon is well-seasoned, asparagus tender, and the creamy aioli is well balanced with the salmon. The service was prompt and efficient. However, the portion is far too small for the price, so much so that I decided to finish off my hunger elsewhere. There is a serious lack of a single-person appetizer on the menu. Also, Im sure the owners are saving a lot on their power bill because the lights are turned so dim that I could only barely see what Im eating. I had an even harder time even seeing the faces of waiters. The dimly-lit-restaurant fad needs to go away, pronto. I think Earls provides a good baseline for what a good restaurant should be. But given the sheer abundance, diversity, and overall quality of cuisine found in Vancouver, do you really want to stop at Earls?

The jumbo crab cake was expensive, cold , tasteless and had too many corn kernels in it. The sweet potato fries and sauce were good enough but also expensive. I feel I paid for the service and seat in a nice place. The food was not good. The chicken fettuccine was good but again luke warm.

The drinks, the food, the atmosphere at Earls all of these are amazing, but especially the staff. More specifically Kyla.

Had a problem with my order and it turned out to be a Doordash communication glitch with Earls. The manager was very gracious and very helpful. Dietary restrictions: I do wish they had some low fat menu choices.. but its very good.

Service: Right away I was greeted by happy hosts who showed me to the bar. The atmosphere is very high quality decor with excellent low light levels. The bar staff(Cameron and Lucas) were full of energy and beyond great vibes. They offered tasters for the draught beers and I fell in love with the peach wheat ale with slush(watermelon slushy like stuff) suggested by the superior staff. Honestly these guys were next level. Warm, welcoming, kind, and vocal. Atmosphere: The entire place feels super modern with cozy seating and nice countertops. Open view to kitchen and welcoming bar. Some nice plants to put a cherry on top. Food: This is where I was blown away. I ordered the chicken and ribs (half) meal with fries instead of coleslaw and a side of gravy. The ribs were legitimately the most tender and fall off the bone I have probably ever had. The house bbq sauce was full of flavour with a hint of alcohol- maybe whiskey or rum? I don t know but it was sooooo good. The blackened chicken was PERFECTLY cooked and tasted better than any chicken I have ever had with its crispy outside and remarkably tender inside. Then there was the potato salad. I expected this to not be for me but it blew me away! Seriously the sauce was incredible. The final thing I loved was the fries and gravy very thick and full of flavour. I will definitely be recommending this to everyone and returning as soon as possible and I recommend you to as well!

I expect the food at a higher standard for the price. The rice in sushi was mushy. For similar dishes, I often find Cactus or Browns can do a better job.

We dined at this location last week and had a great experience! The atmosphere was welcoming and food was very decent and satisfying. But what truly made the experience exceptional was the service provided by Dani. Her attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism were truly incredible, making us feel valued and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

I saw multiple rats inside the restaurant. I left right away and sent an email after with no response. I have followed up and still haven t heard back. I ve contacted Fraser health to address the issue.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Got our food in less than 10 mins Sunday at 630pm, very fast and very good. Get the Caesar for sure

It was 2nd time in Earls and I am not happy with food I ordered well done stake but I got Rar and they did not change my food just deduct $6.5 from my bill . I would more happy to pay $ 10 more but have good food

Went for dinner. Had the Vancouver dine out menu $45 for 3 courses, good value. Food was ok, service was good. Very dark inside the restaurant. Regular menu items are a bit over priced. Overall nice evening.

DO NOT do the Dineout Vancouver menu. Unless you really enjoy getting ripped off. Cheers...

My friends and I went 30 mins before it closed, ordered very little food and left and the restaurant staff was still super nice despite us doing everything foodservice workers hate to deal with. Anyone that can tolerate people like us deserve big tips and great reviews!

Had several items from the happy hour menu. Everything was very tasty. Sushi taco, Angry Chicken lettuce wrap, prawn cocktail, truffle fries & 6oz Steak Frites.... washed down by a Stella. Food

We had the set menu for our anniversary date and the service was spectacular. There was lots of people checking in and we had a gentlemen with a mullet who gave us some good recommendations. We had a fun night out thanks to a good meal and we were well taken care of even though it was busy.

Had a reservation and arrived on time. Confirmed our arrival to the first hostess and she acknowledged that we were supposed to be seated next. Really don t mind waiting but for almost 30 minutes we were told by another hostess that they didn t know we were already there Literally sat in front of them for more than 20 minutes to be told that they didn t know we were there? Lol Don t get me wrong, the food was excellent and servers were so nice.

We dined with Earl s on Tuesday, the 26th of December. This was our first visit, and I was amazed by the service. The ambiance was fantastic; I loved the coziness and the retro vibe. We met Ayush at the front desk, and he guided us to our table and was so friendly and kind. We were then greeted by Taya, who was so kind and courteous. I loved the way she treated us; she made sure she checked in on us, and the overall experience was simply unique. I would recommend this place. By the way food was excellent

Nicole at Earls Poco is the absolute greatest. She has a kind hearted smile and always makes sure my experience exceeds my expectations. I d recommend any one to come hang out at the bar, you won t wanna leave.

They provide you with the menu, you choose the dish youd like to order, but when you place the order, they inform you that theyre out of salmon and certain ingredients. You then select another dish, only to be told its also unavailable for the same reason. How does this happen in a restaurant like Earls? Coquitlam

It was a great atmosphere and service. Food was delicious and excellent. Dani was helping as with serving foods. She s a great person with smile, worm heart, kind. Thank you Dani and entire team. We had a wonderful time there.

We were a large group but our waitress, Dani, was putting extra effort to meete erybody´s need with a big smile on her face all the time. She made our long more memorable.

Way too loud. I measured the decibels. 77-83. Ask way too many questions to create some guest experience. A good guest experience would be a calmer quieter place to eat a meal. Food was fine.
