Suzette's Cafe in Port Coquitlam

Update Dec 21/24 Since my previous review, they continue to amaze and delight! My husband is addicted to the Korean pork and when I p/u my lunch I usually bring it home for dinner now. Haha Im lucky to get any. They also have a bunch of new dessert squares which are just as addicting. Highly recommend Previous review Amazing Korean pork on Thursday and spicy Korean chicken on Tuesdays! The Shepards pie is also on Thursday and delicious. They do a chicken Katsu with curry thats very well done and their chicken Blt sandwiches are so good too! The chicken sandwiches are made with the schnitzel and pounded until tender and thin, lightly fried and crispy. The specials are typically served with salad but you can have soup instead. The specials change every day- so usually 2-4 hot dishes plus 2 soups rotating daily. In addition, theres a sandwich bar menu with many different types of hot and cold sandwiches and made fresh to order. (Salads are as well) U can choose your toppings and dressings and select between different bread types, or different buns, or a wrap. The dessert available fluctuates- usually they have a selection of a few of these; lemon coconut, Nanaimo bar, oat fudge, triple chocolate brownie, peanut butter bar, Rocky road and then a selection of huge cookies - peanut butter dipped in chocolate, oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip. Chips, candy bars, gum and beverages too The service is really what makes this place stand out. Its a well oiled machine for one; they all work in amongst each other very well, and know where the next staff is going to move next. They are super fast and efficient even with a huge line Ive never waited long. Theyre super sweet and accommodating and so friendly! They try to accommodate anything you ask of them and never seem put out. Im here every week as a result of the service. In a world where service seems to be lacking and most fast casual places full of either under trained or uninterested staff, this place is a gem! Oh, and its SUPER CLEAN! Even when theyre super busy the place is spotless. Both behind the line and in the restaurant area. Its an open kitchen and prep area too and its literally kept impeccable and they have fantastic hygiene. Well done! Thank you :)

Great home made style food, Friendly host

Came here for a BLT sandwich and the service was friendly and quick, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. I ll be back!

This is a favorite breakfast place of ours. Good breakfast and very friendly owners. Good price for good food. Coffee is very weak though.

Simple food done right.

Suzette s cafe is the best place to stop by for a hearty breakfast before work, brunch with family, friends and colleagues or if you re looking for a meal for lunch and dinner to remind you of home. Food portions are generous. Desert options provide if you want a treat with your meal or to stop by for a snack. And plenty of drinks in the fridge to choose from. Coffee and tea are offered although being that this is a cafe I would expect more specialty choices. Service is kind and attentive and the atmosphere is simple; this could be your new favourite hideaway cafe, surrounded by commercial businesses and bustling traffic. To conclude: I gave 4.5 stars for overall experience and an excellent 5 stars for service. Being that this is a cafe I would expect more coffee beverages and specialty drinks on the menu If there was more variety. I also thought that the Design and display of food in the cafe was nothing special when I first arrived. But after sitting down enjoying a meal and I found my experience quite pleasant. Parking: Parking can be found on either side on Kingsway street, or adjacent to the back of the cafe. Parking is free for 2hrs. Be mindful because of busy traffic flow and no cross walk assistance if you park and need to cross the street.

Its a great cafe for our lunch needs. Fast service and good food. Recommend Suzettes salad with a breaded chicken breast So good.

I have been driving by Suzettes Cafe for 10 years and finally stopped in for a meal. It is a hidden gem that should definately be checked out. The service and and food is excellent. Looking forward to coming back and bringing other friends with me...thanks Suzette...I should have come here 10 years ago!

You have to try the spicy pork on Thursdays.

I used to work near Suzette s and I loved it! So sad I don t work near here anymore. The food is fresh and made with care. Everything on the menu is delicious and always hits the spot.

Great little cafe, simple and tasty food at a good price. For a couple dollars more than fast food, a much better option in my opinion. I had the schnitzel sandwich with ham/potato soup, went down easy and filled my belly for less than $15.

Very friendly staff and excellent service. The lunch we ordered for our team was very good. Fresh and itemized with our names on each item. A great place for businesses to order work lunches or catering from. Highly recommend.

Came by here to grab lunch while I waited for my car to get its tires fixed and the sandwich was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful, and plenty seating to enjoy my meal.

I have lunch here almost everyday, everything on their menu, that Ive tried is tasty and the portions are generous compared to cost. The service is exceptional and friendly. They also do catering if you have an event. I recommend this place to all my coworkers. And they all like it as well.

Delicious food and kind staff!

Used to have affordable lunch options. Recently I was in for lunch and noticed my wrap seemed more expensive. Until I noted they were charging $2.50 to add avacado to a sandwich or wrap, when it used to be $1.00. There was zero written notice to customers regarding an increase in price. It is understandable about rising food costs, but the least you could do is provide written notice about the price increase. Thanks.

Best restaurant Ive gone to in a while. Lots of value for your money. Was working on the area last week and decided to get some thing from here, got a whole meal for 2 days for just 12$.

Just visited them. Its in an industrial area, casual, self serve with several tables. Tried their breakfast and had high hope from their reviews but a bit disappointed. Bacons are pre-cooked, hashbrown are like chopped-up McD french fries. Coffee is included but refill is extra $1.5. For $14 there are better choices.

A friend told me about suzettes cafe here In poco. Wow place is great for lunch. Had the lasagna and salad first time and now the Alfredo children penne with salad wow awesome taste and good potion size. Will definitely return and recommend anyone who wants home cooked food and friendly staff.

I love love LOVE this little cafe. They have the best weekly specials and their beef and barley soup is to die for!! The ladies make everything fresh for you and the man is always smiling and happy to be in the cafe. If you are looking for a great new soup and sandwich spot this is it!!!

Suzettes is great. One of the best places to eat when working in Poco if your tired of all the fast food. We regularly go there on our breaks for breakfast or lunch. Super friendly staff and quick service for good food.

Nice place for sure. Good atmosphere. Dont plan to stay very long though. Im not from the area and they were nice enough when I walked in and ordered my coffee. I am having my truck worked on down the street and this was the only place within walking distance so my options are limited. Was just about to order a nice lunch when, sitting in the corner table , I was abruptly told hey, next time you cant stay so long. And people are complaining. Uh...ok. Where did that come from? Maybe a bit kinder conversation would have been acceptable? Instead of, hey, get lost man. So no, I wont be back. No problem.

I have been coming to Suzettes for lunch almost everyday for at least 5 years now. Suzette and John are exceptional owners and hosts. Food is always good. Never had a complaint once. Lots of choice. Give them a try!

I have never been disappointed with the food here & I ordered to go from Suzette s a lot when I worked close by. Very happy & friendly staff. When I m in the area I still stop for a bowl of their soup because it s the best around.

Not bad food for a quick bite. If ordering the Chicken Teriyaki I would ask for easy sauce or sauce on the side as they do load it up.

I eat here FAR too often. Super fast, great value and great food. The trouble is deciding what to have.

Best breakfast place Ive had yet in Vancouver/Port Coquitlam area. Hash browns and bacon are crisp, eggs are fried with butter, and bread tastes great. Highly recommend.

Its a brunch cafe run by a Korean. The interior is clean and the price and taste are both great. Its located in Commercial, so if you go during lunch, theres a lineup. This is a restaurant I often visit in the morning.

As always, everything was awesome.

Started working in PoCo recently. Go here all the time for lunch. Delicious sandwiches, wraps, soups etc. Its all about the chicken schnitzel for me when I go there (sandwich or wrap) and the chilli. Really good quality food. Highly recommend

Husband, Wife team, with staff..everyday day they have a few lunch soup and (except wknds..unfortunately as I live 10 min away)...as an Indian curry lover I have to say on Wednesdays their Korean style chicken Curry on white rice dish has had me double dipping for take out to bring home for dinner! add siracha too!

A great local lunch spot, especially for 5jose that needs to get in and out for a quick lunch. The team here understands service and that brings me back.

Suzettes is one of my favourite places to go, so good in fact that i wish they were open on weekends so i could eat here more often. I work close by, and the it is always my number one option for lunch when i havent packed something for myself. Theres only four items on the menu i ever order because they are ALWAYS perfect. 1, Suzettes Breakfast - 2 x eggs sunny side up, 2 x bacon strips, hashbrowns, toast, amazing. 2, Chicken Caesar Wrap - Chicken Schnitzel, Caesar Salad, add bacon and cheeze and sriracha and you have a winner. 3, Spicy Pork (or chicken), Spicy pork on rice with cabbage is amazing, to treat yourself add chicken schnitzel on top to have a mind blowing lunch, be warned, its spicy. 4, Chicken Katsu... La creme de la creme. its chicken schnitzel on rice, with katsu sauce, served with curry chicken on the side... so freaking good. its like having your grandmother cook you amazing meals as a child, its warm, flavourful and cooked with love. Oh, and i forgot, the staff is incredible! They are always kind, and feel like a family to me, always asking how me and my wife are doing, if my parents are doing well etc.. its just such a nice personal experience, even tho its basically a fast food joint. I love this place and the staff and especially the food 10/10 would recommend.

It is a pretty typical diner found light industrial areas. They have the menu board staples and a couple of daily features. The features tend to be a North-Americanized fusion Asian dish, served on white rice. The staples being sandwichs and wraps (no burgers/fries). Generous portions, and proportional pricing that competes with nearby fast-food. A popular location for the area, serving many of local businesses.
