Terrible experience.. hair in food! I didn’t mention anything to the staff but I called customer service spoke to the owners and it was an eye opening experience. They refused to help or rectify the situation.
Service is fast and we love our food.
My family and I of 8 were in having dinner this evening and we had Derek as our server. He made our experience amazing! He was attentive, energetic, and really patient as the kids ordered their meals. Not once did we have to ask for him or for anything for that matter- he was on top of everything! Because of him we will return to this location. Thanks Derek!
Service was poor. We were seated then after quite a wait we had to seek someone to get service. A lot of servers just standing around chatting. Posting a couple pics. Stuff on the floor that the staff did nothing about even though 3 of them came by the area to reset tables and clean windows. Our server, when we finally got service was clearly overworked. The "Give a damn" level is pretty low here. Not coming back.
Another great Whitespot! Great customer service, food tasted great, had to resend a steak (a little undercooked) but they remade it quickly and came out perfect!
We had to wait for 45 minutes before getting our food in. Server took the order and disappeared never comes back to asks us for water or keeps us updated about the order delays. When our food arrives it was cold, not as fresh as expected. Not recommended
For years we have been going for my kids birthdays. It was always fun to get the free bday dessert. This month we went for my son's bday and when I told them it was his birthday, they said they would put a candle on the ice cream that comes with the pirate pack. I asked about the free dessert that they always give and I was told they no longer do this. It was so disappointing to know this was the end of our family tradition at White spot. It feels like another way for big companies like theirs to stop putting in that extra but of service and care for their customers in the name of a tiny bit more profit. The rest of the night wasn't great. Our server seemed very unsure. Everything took quite long even though the restaurant was empty. I think the fact it was empty on a Friday night is a reflection of the constant under-staffing that they seem to have which causes the long waits. Anyways, looks like the end of our family tradition and we will be looking for a new family restaurant for the kids birthdays.
Wanted something fast and chose Whitespot. Ordering through the phone was difficult as they didn't answer so we had to call 5 times before it was picked up. When we received our order i was shocked that the "Legendary" burger looked like a toddlers plain hamburger the name and $16 price tag does not make one expect it to be like that. I think even the Ferry's legendary burger isn't like this. We called and the manager confirmed that was the correct burger but was kind enough to offer another burger with actual toppongs. The rest of the food was good but the shock from the over priced plain burger is hard to forget. Don't be tricked! Just got the replacement burger.. it was not cooked. Also found a rotten grape in the mixed fruit. Lack of quality control and value found here
Great family restaurant, lots of space and great staff
So now you need to pay extra for the drink when you order a burger? Another 3.50 for a fountain pop. Sad
Nice place and ivy was nice and helped us with every nice food with a nice dine in it took a bit to get our food because it was quite busy I would recommend. Ordering befor but it was amazing food.
Love the food the waitress was wonderful but the drink selection was not the best
Ordered online for pick up, ordered almost 45 minutes before the earliest pick up time and food was still not ready. If they cant handle take out and dinner service, dont offer it.
Excellent meal and service.
Best staff ever! Amazing customer service when dining in. Nothing but good things to say. :)
Food was not as expected I Ive been going there twice a month for 3 years Unfortunately this visit was enough to turn me right off Our server was good but it was like the kitchen could care less what theyre serving Food : 1/5
The server was polite and natural when talking and explaining the menu.
Delicious food and very friendly staff! Our breakfast took waaaayyyy too long last time we ate there which is why I gave it a 4 star for service. Nothing personal with the pleasant staff. Just waited a long time for our food.
White spot is white spot, and I m not mad about it. If you like white spot, you ll like white spot
Raj and the team are incredibly friendly. Great service and the food is always on point! Keep up the great work.
Slow service, poorly made food
We were there to support pirate pak day but I guess its a mistake to go as its their busiest day of the year. My two kids and me had to wait over 40 minutes for chicken strips which is not that acceptable as those are just deep fried food. My kids were fussy and crying as they were so hungry. Also two tables after us got their food first. Then they forgot we upgraded to yam fries and forgot our dip. Theres also spider web at the corner of our table. Lastly, they forgot to include the coupons for kids attractions that came with pirate pak so we had to go back another day to collect them. Manager finally came apologize but in the end only offered a mere 10%....we got at least one order free if this happened at the KEG. Also we waited so long and its happy hour time and I thought I would order some other food. However, it turned out all they serve is pirate pak that day. The server was friendly and the restaurant is great but not a good idea to go on pirate pak day for us anymore. I know couple other tables also complained the slow service while we were there.
I tried a breakfast wrap for the first time which was delicious. The server was also great with our large group.
The staff is always friendly here and the food is always hot and good
Awesome
Ordered legendary burger. Most unappetizing dish ever had at white spot. Cole slaw was warm. Fries were all bits and pieces lots of black spot and stale. Burger was on the pink side, so was afraid to eat it.
Used to be a great affordable BC chain, now home of the $22 cheeseburger.
Its what youd expect from a Whitespot. I love their clubhouse Sandwich, beef dip and the fish & chips. Would recommend for families and a casual lunch/dinner. Parking: The lot isnt very big, but Ive never had a problem parking there. Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly. They love the pirate packs, Argh!
very slow and waiting for 30mins after ordering
The restaurant was freezing cold. We waited a long time to receive our food. Service was slow and scattered considering our fairly simple orders. A few items were incorrect or forgotten. Waitress was... overwhelmed? Annoyed? Trying to go on break? Not a great experience. Will go to another location next time.
Great Vegetarian options
Pretty good food! Everything was prepared well and service was friendly. Only complaint was that the chicken breast was overcooked and really dry.
Had a great brunch
Didnt get service. Waited but got ignored. So we left.
The food was very good but there was not enough servers so it took along time to get served but they were very nice when they got to helping you
Truthfully was a little nervous eating there. The manager came and talked to my sister and I who have been vegetarians for over 30 years We couldnt have the zoo sticks because we asked if meat was fried in the same oil and he said yes and then he came back and said no you can have them. We werent sure what to believe... Vegetarian options: They say the zoo sticks are vegetarian vegan actually but theyre cooked with meat. They tell us same oil so not really sure what to think
The restaurant wasnt very busy but we still waited over an hour for the food to be served. Vegetarian options: Not very many vegetarian main options available.
It used to be so good and I m just amazed at how bad the food has gotten. How do you mess up a Legendary? It was so bad I couldn t finish it. I gave them a second chance and they burnt my chicken wrap so bad. Why would you serve that when you can clearly both see and smell it s not right?! I ve eaten at white spot more times than I d like to admit, but will never return to this location ever again.
We tried to dine in on a Sunday night. Waiting 15 mins for a table when restaurant half empty. Waited at table about 15 minutes more was not even asked if we wanted water. Watch tables all around us seated and helped. Finally got asked if we were helped and we said no. Still guy walked away and left another 2 minutes without returning we walked out with hungry kids.
Love the food and the cozy vibes.
I went there over 10 times and every time was great. I will go there again. Food is great, staff is friendly
Always good for a good burger
We went to White Spot today for lunch. We were seated right away and were then pretty much ignored. We sat for about 5 to 7 minutes, and when no one came by we got up and left. I realize the restaurant was busy but someone could have at least acknowledged we were there - which never happened. In the past we have been there when service was slow but we were not ignored. For the time being we will be going to a different White Spot.
Best #1 service and food here!!! Even let manager know amazing service by her waitresses/waiters every time I go there. So happy to relax after work here. Cheerful staff and amazing making sure you have everything you need. This is a 10 out of 10
Our meals were great and the server was fantastic .
I ordered chicken wraps. Quality is low, not tasty. Portion very small. Salad has 95% spinach. I never gonna order here.
Food and service were both excellent.
Great service and the food came fast 10/10
We were put in a booth where one of our guests couldnt sit. Right next to the party of children. Every time we are in there is next to the loudest Childrens party on earth. The menu is very pricey and I could only find one thing I could eat which was chicken fingers with plum sauce. I dont know how everyone else eats around me at my party turned me off considerably. I dont think they actually tasted their food, which is a shame really. I am dairy allergic and found nothing I could really eat without making lots of substitutions and pissing off the cooks. I found the menu to be daunting and I was out of my league and there were vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options with a disclaimer saying we are not at fault for cross contamination I found this very dumb cross contamination can happen anywhere at any establishment and saying your not at fault should really be a large sign on the front of your door and on your menu FYI. Because if you want to cover your butt say it everywhere it constitutes as well as from your front of house staff make sure that everyone knows and understands it. Make sure your front of house staff tell your guests each menu comes with gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options and where to look for them not everyone will read the menu thoroughly unlike myself. I find eating at restaurants ever so more daunting with this allergy than ever before. I also found that the server pushed us to order after the rest of our party arrived like 2mins after they got their drinks. It was like hurry up and order now usually after everyone closes their menus then people are ready to order not while people are still scanning through being pushed by the party to hurry up. If we wanted to get in and get our service we would have gone fast food. Remember customers who come back time and time again are your bread and butter to your restaurant also to make new return guests is not to put pressure on people to hurry up and order like now, some people need to take time to read a menu. Vegetarian options: There were vegan and vegetarian options but like 7 dishes that was it. Dietary restrictions: There was gluten free but nothing else for those who have other dietary restrictions. Parking: There were maybe 6 spots available it looked like people from Costco and a lot of the staff were using the lot as well. Kid-friendliness: Pirate packs but you had to ask for that menu.
There is a hostess there named Sabrina . I have been going to this Whitespot lot of times . Sabrina is so kind and polite . There should be more people like Sabrina . Most people at this place looks stressed out . Sabrina although through a busy stressful environment still is professional and always has a smile . Keep up the good attitude Sabrina as it s much appreciated from customers and it s people like you that make us come back to that restaurant
The taste was amazing
Came in for breakfast. The waitress seemed less than excited to be there but order came perfect down to the well done hash browns so I was overall satisfied with my experience. Always a pleasure to eat here.
Never usually busy, great service and always good food.
We love whitespot! But this time, our table was dirty. Out seater was grumpy and short. And we never had the same server...they split us up I think, and service was poor as a result.
We went for breakfast and really enjoyed the food. We tried the Denver omelette, Prawn avo bowl and cheese steak bowl. Very good. Coffee was ok. Well what can you expect from a diner?
The bathroom is very cold
Was a good environment. Was pretty slow so service was also great. You always know what youre getting at white spot. It doesnt mean its the greatest food Ive ever had but it is what I expected
Not like the old diner on Lonsdale. More like a new cactus club except better hamburgers.
Service here has vastly improved. I find the dishes well prepared but a tad on the pricey side.
Had beef dip sandwich and fries.
Worst experience ever they overcharge you and the Manager comes up with an attitude without saying HI very unprofessional didn t solve my problem instead saying I made it cheaper otherwise it would be more but it s a lie menu price was $12.99 but they charge $15.99 on my bill I know it s $3.00 difference but still it s money. I have worked in customer service I know customers not always right but at least don t overcharge them. I m not going there anymore. Worst management at this store. Unprofessional and very Rude
Food was good. Brought food, no silverware available. Operations very disorganized. Manager tried to rectify the problem by giving the meal for free. Have been at this location in past and had a better experience. Note: dont seat individuals and take food orders if unable to provide proper service with eating utensils.
Just to be clear. The staff were very courrteous and effiecent. A+ The food was good and no issues. A+ I usually go mid range in my selection as there is always room for change.
Great breakfast and not so busy. Server was great.
It was very nice when we went. Had ribs which were also very nice. Beer was good and our waitress was nice.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Foods great as well!
Went to PoCo location. We were told there was a 10 minute wait. The hostess disappeared other people came in no one helped them. After 10 minute we left. The restaurant was empty and all the tables were set up.
Hostesses were extremely disorganized, and one was very rude. Took people out of order, several people complained . After a long wait they to give me a small table for 2 when I had a party of 4, including a 2 year old who could ve easily grabbed at everything on a small table. Very disappointed. Will not go back.
Always great food and great service!
Has been my favorite burger since I can remember and it hasnt changed since. The triple O sauce is to die for. Also great spot for kids (pirate pack)
Nice place, and welcoming staff. The food is insanely overpriced.
70s homey atmosphere serving comfort food and burgers with some more modern fair. Nothing mindblowing but reliable and nostalgic.
Food was served quickly, with the kids meals first. All meals were warm, correct and no issues at all.
The wait for the food has always been on the longer side, but always a good time there!
Service was slow overall for breakfast where the restaurant wasnt very full, we waited a while to get seated, we waited a while for a server to take our order, and once our food was delivered, we were checked on just once and that was it for an hour.
Slooowwwwwww service, over an hour wait to get food and the restaurant wasnt busy.
This is a nice place,
Great food polite servers .
Have their famous fish and chips. Excellent as usual!
Christine our server was awesome!
Great food & service
I used to go to White Spot a few times a year, but the last few times I have gone the portions have seemingly been cut in half and the prices increased. Unless you order a burger with bottomless fries, prepare to leave hungry.
I eat gluten free and the food and the service was fabulous.
Great Eggs Benny and smash browns
Fries were the highlight. Everything else was pretty average.
Good but pricy
Its a common place for a casual breakfast close home, they open early which is a plus and the kids menu have a good and different options to make a good pack for the little ones, plus includes dessert and the classic boat to play with after meals.
Always Legendary!
Ok
Excellent service and food. Too bad for the screaming kids at the next table.
Food and service not quite up to par with other White Spot locations. Kid-friendliness: Like a typical white spot has pirate packs! Food : 3/5 |
Im just wondering why the kids connect-the-dots came pre-filled.
Good food, comparable prices..never rush you.
The place is half-empty, yet we have to wait because they are understaffed.
Server was attentive but did not offer glasses of water. The small turkey bacon and Brie sandwich was filled with thin slices of processed turkey rather than a turkey breast. The salad was the best part of the dish. Place was more than half empty. I would not return as there are much better places nearby with better food, atmosphere and prices.
Been here many times. Went the other day and the legendary burger tasted off. It almost tasted mustardy and my mom said it tasted like curry almost. Not sure if it was the triple o sauce , new spices or something im about to get reaaaally bad food poisoning.
Salmon fillet burger: healthier choice than the beef burgers, and it s a balanced and tasty burger, with the arugula providing the bitter and fresh taste combined with the fatty salmon. Sweet potato fries: The fries have just the right texture: not too soft and not too thick either. Although it is more expensive than the fries as a side, it s definitely worth a try. Comes with the chipotle mayo dip. Coleslaw salad: As perfect as a regular coleslaw salad. No complaints.
Kayla was our hostess, was attentive to out wants and needs.. Jaida and Manpreet were our server, fast and friendly service. Food was great as always! Never a disappointment. Vegetarian options: Replacement options Dietary restrictions: Extra egg (meat replacement) Parking: Limited spots Kid-friendliness: Pirate pack Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spaces available
Impressed. Service was outstanding. Had the Nat special breakfast, it was delicious, 2 eggs, multigrain toast, 3 pieces of back bacon and smashed roasted potatoes. The smashed potatoes were so crispy and delicious I got another serving (they have all you can eat potatoes with the Nat special). We also had the cheesy beef with eggs, potatoes, spinach & hollandaise. Will be back
Came here on Saturday evening. no wait for a table of 4. Lots of diners and not crowded. Server was friendly but didnt refill water or checkup on us. Food took a long time because of the dinner rush. My Cobb salad was big but the grilled chicken breast was sooo tiny for a $20 salad. All in all typical White Spot. Not terrible , not great. Kid-friendliness: Pirate Paks!
Good food , good service.
Waited for 25 minutes to get some service.
The Monty Burger was disgusting, old soggy lettuce, mushy tomato, tough chewy patty and soggy bun. When my husband called to report it and ask them to remake it and he would come to pick it up, they said they wouldnt refund it and couldnt help since it was ordered through a third party. Brutal. Our bill was over $100 and the manager couldnt flex her process to replace a single burger without making us go through the lengthy process with the third party delivery company that they have choosen to partner with. Horrible, horrible response to a very bad quality item that was completely within their control to fix. I have been feeding my family at this location since it opened and I will never go there again.
Excellent service and great coffee
Yesterday was my first time trying white spot and I was clueless about what to pick. I came in with my nephew that I was babysitting, the manager Harpreet personally gave amazing recommendations on the food and was welcoming and polite. He was also very friendly with my nephew :). 10/10 had to compliment the manager for his welcoming service.
We ordered dinner here via Uber Eats, Substituted my fries for onion rings and was only given 3 onion rings!!! Is there an onion shortage Im not aware of?! Im also pretty sure I had to pay extra and only to get 3 onion rings?! Really??!! What a joke, I feel like an idiot for wasting $92 on 4 legendary combos and only receiving 3 onion rings!
Awesome place, food, and service
I order the lettace wrap, but it comes with small cut up pieces if limped lettace. Ask the server about the lettace and she wasnt too excited with her answer. If you offer a lettace wrap, please make sure its wrapped able! Parking: Easy to find a space.
Ohmygosh the new Chef is AMAZING! The food taste the best Ive ever had it!
One of the nicer more updated White Spot restaurants. As a family with small kids we are always seated right at the front door. Kids always love their pirate packs, macaroni or chicken or burgers, lots of fruit or veggies for sides, staff even bring extra fruit and veg out if we need it and always quite accommodating to kids and families. The regular menu is pretty average, not really any standout meals. Bottomless fries is pretty normal for most chain family restaurants. Food is decent just not special. Weve done burgers, pasta, ribs, salads and sandwiches and enjoyed everything weve tried.
Brunch was good coffee a little cold. Service and staff wer friendly. They substituted the steak for the imperial burger thats a plus.
Service always good Food fab
I often take my kids here for dinner. We all like the food and its reasonably priced. On our most recent visit we wanted to be in the bar area to watch tv because the curling was on TSN. However one tv was broken and they couldnt change the channel of the other. So if youre hoping to catch anything on TSN while you eat you may want to reconsider. I hope they fix it soon.
Good food waitress looks miserable
The food was great, but the service was sub par. And the employees were gossiping loudly about the workplace right beside our table
Yummy
Super busy and had to wait due to Fathers day, the staff were so great as I went with a friend who had a walker and they seated us very close to the door so she did not have to walk very far, very thoughtful There was a lot of food and we really should have ordered and split the meal as we had the same thing.
Food is adequate. Changing from whats on the menu causes confusion. Waitress was nice. NOTE: the avocado in the salad was way over ripe and had black flesh. Sent it back. No way that should leave the kitchen!
had alot of fun and even though they were busy great service!
Poor service. Food wasnt good.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access
Usually order from skipthedishes, so 1st time dine in. Waited till 2 PM to use its happy hour discount. Being sat at the far left corner was a bad spot for a sunny day. Barely air cooling and blinds didnt block sun as shown on pic #4. The shrimp and poutine was good but best to get during happy hour discount. $13 for 6 pieces of shimp is expensive. Finished the apps about 20 mins and got my NY steak 10 mins later. Off the bat, steak looks small, 1/3 of the plate. However, cooked good and juicy, my vegetables had too much pepper, wasnt gonna eat it anyways. But when I got the extra mushrooms, the stems were raw. Probably cooked only the top. Make sense to cut then cook the mushrooms but whatever. Overall, decent and expensive food but bad seating during sunny days.
Great Beyond Burgers.
Nice restaurant.
On par with all other whitespots.
Unless extraordinary I never give 5 stars. We enjoyed the good food.
5 start service
I ve been going to this restaurant for several years, usually for breakfast, and while there are other restaurants to choose from, I go to this White Spot because of Arlene. Great service for many years. Hopefully many more to come! Thanks Arlene!
Worst experience we have ever had at a White Spot. Our waitress never came back to check on if we wanted anything after bringing our meals. No refills, nothing.
jaida was such a sweet server! excellent service! well done!
I was in the mood for a quick brunch as to fill in time before my wine tasting in Richmond. I decided to try White Spot in Port Coq. I entered and was promptly shown to my booth which was a bonus since I was solo and the place was not too busy. I was approached by my server - Devyn- if not mistaken. I ordered the Nats Hearty Breakfast. The food was on par and although the coffee could have been a bit fresher it was not bad. My server was excellent and provided great service as she checked on me more than once and was curious to ask about my day. Just by that gesture it went a bit better. Glad to see that not all experiences are disappointing - especially after when the bill is signalled. Cheers!
Always great food!!
Three was nothing out of the ordinary, same over priced menu, service was good but food was nothing special for the price. Atmosphere very mundane.
Great food. Awesome service!
Great food awesome staff have to check this place out the restaurant is nice and cozy not that loud as well good place to eat alone or with a group the milkshakes are awesome and the menu has a great selection when ever in the area definitely need to come here from breakfast to lunch to dinner all good any time of the day Vegetarian options: Great selection on salads Dietary restrictions: Always ready for any food allergies Parking: Ample amount of parking Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids activities for them to do Wheelchair accessibility: Easy accessibility
Good food, fast service
Good food, good service
Just saying.....it would be a good practise for staff to wash their hands before mixing drinks....especially after handling dirty dishes
Parking: Lots of parking.
Decided to spend Thanksgiving with my uncle. Had a wonderful low-key meal at White spot. Theyre struggling a bit with their staff as it is really difficult to find people nowadays, but our waitress worked hard and got us our food and drinks and we were very happy. Vegetarian options: Great options available Parking: Lots available Kid-friendliness: I saw a young child getting a wonderful little pirate pack and some ice cream.
Came on a Sunday morning - girl at the front told us a 10 minute wait. However, it was actually a 30 minute wait. They seemed understaffed as there were a lot of tables still available. When we got our food one of the dishes (the cheese steak hash) - all the potatoes and ingredients were soggy and filled with fluid. The only reason this is a two star rate and not a 1-0 star rate is because of the excellent service from the server.
Worst dining experience, noisy due to being sat by the kitchen, slamming of utensils or whatever they were slamming couldn t hear over it. I will not blame the waitress she did her best. We waited over 45 mins from the time we ordered for the food to start showing up. Had to ask for items that did not arrive. Food was cold, bread hard, poutine mushy whatever was the problem they need to fix it. Would never eat there again, shame on them for such horrible service, I pity the wait staff having to deal with such lousy kitchen staff.
S...L....O.....W.........
5 stars to our server Emily, she was so efficient and respectful. She made our experience wonderful! White spot is lucky to have her!
Exquisite food, very good service, recommended to go out to eat
Food was just as the said on there menu
The food was as expected for the White Spot restaurant but the service was well below average due to limited staff and usual demand.
We do not live in BC. Actually from Ontario. Always make it to White Spot at least once during each visit. I had the salmon burger Have to say I loved it Food
Waited for 20 minutes (starting at about 1pm) before we were told they didnt have enough kitchen staff and couldnt serve a group of 10 (4 of which are kids 7 and under). Apparently they couldnt allow us to split into smaller groups either. Why it took them 20min to tell us is a complete mystery.
The food was excellent and the service was great too!
Excellent staff, quality food
Too expensive
The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. Thats all you need for a good restaurant.
Great service good food
