An authentic, intimate Omakase experience curated by Chef Keith Kamizato in a rock music-inspired setting. By Reservation only.
What an amazing experience in Japanese culinary arts. Food was beyond amazing. Chef Keith hit all of the dishes out of the park. You never know what you're going to get. Menu is planned around what the chef brings in fresh. If you love metal music and sushi, this is the place to go.
We had a really lovely experience at Sushi K. Every bite was DELICIOUS, which can be attributed to the great care taken to make it. The owners are so welcoming and clearly love what they do. I would recommend this to anyone who loves sushi, getting to know new people and looking for a special way to celebrate an occasion or just really good food.
How lucky are we to have such amazing talent and kind hospitality in a seemingly unassuming plaza housing an omakase restaurant that refuses to sacrifice quality without having to actually travel to Japan?! An absolute A+ to Chef Keith and Chika for their mastery of perfecting a great omakase experience in the tricities. They are reservations only (and for a good reason!) and this can be done on their new online portal!! by controlling the number of seatings, Chef K and Chika are able to interact and share their craft with patrons in an intimate and personal way. There is no hustle and bustle or fakeness that would otherwise follow some restaurant vibes. There is purely passion for fish, customer service and, of course, metal music! I urge you to dine at the chefs bar and let Chef K tell you his extensive and wonderful background from catering some A list bands, to being on tour, and changing restaurant models all while being fed an amazing feast. The fish is sourced from Japan and screams quality and flavour. He knows exactly what he’s doing with all the fish profiles and pairing them with a variety of notes like shiso, yuzu and ginger. Between the 14 unbelievably mouth watering and satisfying dishes, Chef K and Chika’s kindness shared the spotlight easily. Humble beginnings have led to an extraordinary and legendary journey for SKK. Some of the special highlights were the blue fin tuna, South American jumbo prawn, Spanish mackerel and the scallops. I cannot wait to bring my omakase/metal loving friends and family here to join in on the greatness because sharing truly is caring and this gem is too awesome to keep to myself!
Sushi K Kamizato is truly a hidden gem! My husband and I have been there multiple times, and each visit leaves us craving for more of their perfect Japanese food experience. The owner is a true perfectionist, and it shows in every detail of the dishes served. Whether it's the impeccably fresh sushi or sashimi, you can always count on them to exceed your expectations. If you're a Japanese food lover like us, do yourself a favor and give Sushi K Kamizato a try - you won't be disappointed!"
Used to come here 13 years ago when they first opened up and they just recently switched to omakase couple year ago, went tonight give it a try and it was well worth the experience!!! Most of the fish Is imported from Japan weekly or sourced locally, thank you chef Keith for the wonderful dine in experience, looking forward to coming back
Sushi Kamizato is a gem in the realm of Japanese cuisine, helmed by the masterful Executive Chef Keith Kamizato. From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of creativity and rock-and-roll energy. Chef Kamizato's Chef's Choice menu was an enlightening journey through the world of sushi, with each dish meticulously prepared and explained with passion and expertise. The freshness of the fish was unparalleled, a testament to Chef Kamizato's commitment to sourcing only the finest ingredients from the market. Watching him work his magic in the kitchen was a spectacle in itself, adding an extra layer of appreciation to the dining experience. If you're looking for an inventive sushi experience that transcends the ordinary, Sushi Kamizato is a must-visit destination.
🤤: finally leaving a long overdue review for this hidden-gem in the Tri-Cities area. quite affordable omakase options without sacrificing quality. we’ve been here multiple times and it never disappoints. Keith and his wife are very accommodating and super friendly (plus, a cool die-hard rock fan). they have varied budget options for first-time visitors, and you can simply call in and let them know your preferences for subsequent visits. 😰: while it’s quite a fusion experience, the nigiri pieces are on the high-quality side. also note that this is a reservation-only place, so plan ahead. pictures are from my very first visit during winter last year, so the types of fishes will be slightly different. check out their Facebook page for a rough reference on what will be offered that week, as they import ingredients all the way from Japan. omakase price starts at $90 + tax, which includes 10 pieces of nigiri and small bites with miso soup and tuna karaage in between, as well as complimentary umeshu shot at the end.
Sushi Kamizato delivered an extraordinary omakase experience that left us speechless. From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance made me feel welcomed. The curated menu showcased the freshest ingredients, and each dish was a perfect blend of traditional techniques and innovative flavors. The sashimi was a highlight, with impeccably fresh fish that melted in my mouth. The knowledgeable chef and his wife provided excellent service, explaining each dish in detail. The intimate atmosphere allowed for a captivating view of the chef's artistry. Sushi Kamizato exceeded our expectations, leaving us with cherished memories. If you're seeking an exceptional omakase and remarkable sashimi, Sushi Kamizato is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!
It was a unique dining experience. My companion and I were tasting exquisite fishes with explanations from the chef Keith, in a friendly atmosphere that they created. Every piece of sushi they served had different characters and delicate recipes. It was indeed a voyage to Japaneses beloved cuisine. I would like to visit again in a different season to taste different on-season fishes.
Incredibly good, highly recommend. Excellent exceptionally fresh fish presented beautifully with phenomenal flavor combinations. Chef is very passionate and does a fantastic job. The music and decor is also great. Go here :)
Loved everything about this!! Exceeded my expectations and had a great time chatting at the sushi bar.
It is an honor and a privilege to dine with Chef Keith and his wife Chika. From the metal music ambiance (a personal fave) to the bar seating, it really feels like being a guest in the best ever sushi chef s home. I have typically been a conservative sushi enjoyer, sticking to things like avocado rolls, so I was nervous heading into my omakase experience. Upon the first bite, those nerves melted away like the bluefin on my tongue. Every course is a true delight, with varying flavors and textures, but always perfectly balanced. It s almost a shame to have such a flawless bite because it s hard to appreciate when things are perfectly aligned. While the pricepoint can seem intimidating compared to standard sushi, it is absolutely worth it. The courses get served over about two hours, trickling a lovely bite at just the right pace. It both flies by and feels like you get a true opportunity to really savor things. Suffice to say I will be saving up for my next visit!
An amazing omakase experience. The chef Keith and his wife Chika are extremely personable, you feel like youre eating with good friends! The food is also top notch. I love this place and absolutely recommend. This is truly a hidden gem.
I really wanted to give 5 stars like so many others have, but I felt the experience overall didn t quite live up to the hefty price tag. Quality of the fish: superb. Fresh, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. This is where they excel. Variety: this is one area that could have been better. We opted for the $150 Omakase (middle tier) and I felt there were too many tuna dishes. There were some very unique and tasty offerings interspersed, but not as many as I would expect from an omakase 13-piece nigiri experience for the price point. Portion: the nigiri was constructed delicately with the right ratio of rice-to-fish. Because there was less rice, we all felt a bit hungry at the end. For $150 pp, that was disappointing. Maybe a few more non-sushi options in between or a small rice bowl with select fish on top would have helped. Flavours: overall mild, and highlighting the natural flavours of the fish. The tuna karaage and marinated sockeye were too salty, but otherwise the rest were nicely balanced. The torching enhanced many of the fattier fish. Strangely, most of the nigiri was served with wasabi. Atmosphere: loved the metal theme. I actually thought this could have been more immersive. The music was relatively quiet and I would have preferred a livelier ambience. The chefs counter experience seemed much more personal; at the table, we felt less included in the conversations but thats just the reality of having one chef and one small counter area. Service: a bit slower than we would have liked but this was expected and made clear up front. The chef did come over at the end of the meal which was nice, and took a photo with us. I wish more information was given about each fish and where it was sourced. Price: this was the hardest thing for me to get past. The price per piece of nigiri was over $10. This may be justified with a generous piece of fish that is harder to source in Vancouver but several of the nigiri featured fish that could easily be found here. Maybe its a quality thing? Im not sure. Im someone who will break the bank for life-changing bites, but the overall experience didnt quite get there for me. If this had been priced $80-90, I think my rating would be much higher.
Incredible experience, as always!
Had an amazing omakase experience here. Delicious food, great music, great service. Its pricy, but this was the best sushi Ive tried in Vancouver (and I eat a lot of sushi here). Thank you, chef Kamizato!
Keith and his wife are the best hosts. Amazing sushi with a thorough explanation of what it was, how he made it and where it came from. This really is an experience. The 4 of us were extremely thankful and grateful. What an experience! Im glad we went.
This legendary place 100% lives up to the expectations. Aside from being a very talented omakase master, the chef has a great presence Food : 5/5
Couldn t believe there s an omakase restaurant right next to where I live. The food and service are top of the line and we re definitely coming back again!
i enjoyed the food and the staff were very kind
Celebrated a family anniversary with delicious omakase from Keith and Chikas teamwork. Chika also asked for allergies and special requests, which was very welcome. Would love to try the assorted sashimi platter and some nigiri next time Im in. Pick up orders are one day at least in advance. Omakase starts from $90/pp My favorites from this platter (if I recall correctly from Keiths kind explanation) were Engawa, sablefish, Spanish mackerel, Hokkaido hotate, Keiths special scallop salmon nigiri and a few other fish in there. Looking forward to returning soon.
Excellent everything - ingredients, technique, presentation, atmosphere. 100% will come back for more.
Fantastic experience!
Always such an amazing omakase experience here.. master sushi chef Keith Kamazato san is so amazing in his creations.. the most amazing fish from local waters to Japan.. it is always prepared in the utmost care and the flavours are amazing and I love the layed back rock and roll atmosphere..
The best sushi I have ever had in my entire life. This is a hidden gem in Poco, if you appreciate quality sushi then this is a must try. It s a mom and pop shop and is reservation only, but it s indeed worth the wait and every penny.
This was a very unique dining experience. The heavy metal theme gives it a very cool vibe, and the omakase was unreal. Super friendly owners as well. This is definitely a hidden gem!
An authentic and superb omakase experience in the suburbs of PoCo. They import fresh seafood weekly and the menu changes depending on what they get in that week. You have to call in ahead of time to grab a seat but keep in mind that they only take about 5 tables per day. You can tell that the chef is very passionate about his food and it shows in every piece of his sushi. I especially enjoyed engawa - a flat fish that is quite rich and oily - it almost dissolves in your mouth! The bluefin tunas were also exceptional - both o-toro and chu-toro - but I would say that there were no pieces that I disliked throughout the omakase. I cant believe that I only found this gem after living in the lower mainland for over 15 years but I will be coming back in the near future for more amazing sushi. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants authentic Japanese omakase experience with quality ingredients without travelling all the way to downtown Vancouver.
This small sushi bar is run by a husband and wife from Japan. They specialize in omakase style dining where the chef sets the menu and serves each course piece by piece. A true gem to have in the neighbourhood! The chef loves rock/metal and has an impressive record collection that he loves to play for his guests
Handsdown best Japanese place in town. Been here 3 times and Keith never disapoints. He strives for perfection. Every peice is hand crafted with love. We cant even pick a favourite piece because they are all extremely good!! Worth the trip to Poco. The vibe is Heavy Metal, not a boushy place. Its very intimate and both Keith and Chika ( his wife) treat everyone like family. Would recommend! By reservation only and it is Omakase style so you leave it to the Chef! (averaging $80-150 per person)
As with other comments, this is a reservation only setting. It was an absolutely fantastic set by gracious hosts (the music didnt hurt).
Really Good sushi. Set menu. Reservations necessary. Small location. Owner is Heavy Metal fan. Parking: Lots of parking
I have heard raves from friends, but since I have not had a lot of sashimi, I wasnt sure if I was going to be over my head. It was awesome, this wasnt a generic roll place! Really great flavours and textures. I loved the atmosphere, being a metal fan, it was a walk down memory lane. I am looking forward to my next visit!!!
Got there after a few recommendations and reputation and with high expectation sice im a gourmet. Sorry but the sauce the chef put on all nigiri turned me off. One of the sushi bars that I would not try again for myself.
Great time eating here, omakase can be a bit expensive but worth it with the quality and types of fish you can get here.
We had the best experience of my sushi life here on Saturday night! What a master! You have my absolute respect for your skill in your craft, Chef Keith. I was fortunate to be introduced to this place by my foodie friend. I am just a short plane flight away and dreaming of when I can go back.
Sushi chef Keith is a true master of his craft. The omakase experience was excellent. We were lucky to enjoy some very fresh fish from japan and other parts of the world. Truly an authentic Tokyo experience in Poco. Service was at an excellent pace, as we got to know Keith and his wife Chika. We had no idea his restaurant had been around for so long in Poco. His clientele is now very exclusive, so reservations are highly recommended, as walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Restaurant is also cool af, decorated in a hard rock theme, blasting best metal tunes. Thanks Keith, we will be back!
Some of the best sashimi and sushi I ve ever had. Most of everything we had came fresh from Japan. The chef is extremely nice and the atmosphere is not like any other sushi restaurant. Really cool space and awesome music. A must try!
My husband just took me for a 10 course menu and I don t think I ll ever be able to enjoy sashimi/nigiri at any other joint. Everything was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend sitting at the bar so that you can talk to the chef and watch him prepare every dish. Amazing experience. Will definitely go back. Reservations are required.
Had an absolutely wonderful Omakase experience tonight. Anyone wanting a special night out that loves sushi needs to try this place.
We had such a wonderful dining experience at SKK! The restaurant has a heavy metal theme that sets the stage for an exceptional in-your-face culinary adventure. Chef Kamizato is a creative and humble culinary artist who truly values quality. His meticulous approach to fish procurement and his passion for creating new and delicious dishes result in a dining experience that is unique to only here. The omakase at SKK is simply outstanding. You must make a reservation in advance to dine here, as they do not accept any walk-ins. Reach out to the SKK team to discuss your preferences, budget, and any special requests to make the experience tailored to your group. SKK is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Port Coquitlam, and its definitely worth a visit. We will be visiting again for sure! Highly recommended. You wont be disappointed! Dietary restrictions: Good communication with this place to suit your dietary needs.
Requires a reservation to get in here, but Keiths sushi creations are the best Ive ever had. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience, and of the 4 times Ive had the pleasure of eating here, never had a disappointing bite.
Overpriced AND unclear rule about pricing. They ask you what your budget is and tell you a price after you informing them of your budget instead of telling you the exact price tiers upfront. They claim that there are different tiers of pricing based on what seafood they get and the current set of menu but they couldnt explicitly list what exactly are different (for example, which items caused the increase in the price) among the different prices. Also, I looked at the review from a year ago, they served the exact same set of sushi!!! Their menu hasnt changed, so its a total lie that they charge you according to their current available seafood collection because theyve been ordering the same things. They only say it ranges from $80 to $150 per person so they charge whatever in between and give you whatever they want for the price that they charge you. Sushi are either drenched in soy sauce or mayo and have a very cheap Western style flavor. Flavor-wise, almost every sushi tastes the same, its just the texture of the meat that was different. Its almost like since the seafood are imported, they could just get away with being lazy about flavoring. They used horseradish instead of wasabi. It has the same taste and spiciness as the ones out of a tube from a grocery store. Rice were half cold and half hot and they were not short grain sushi rice. Dining pace was all over the place, the chef was trying to serve 4 tables with a total of 10+ people, so he was super busy trying to get food to everyone. Each dish was not served at a consistent pace - sometimes the waittime is around a minute and other times around 10 minutes. The total dining time was more than 1.5 hours for 10 pieces of sushi. Aside from the food, the chef and the server were very friendly to customers. The interior decoration resembles your neighborhood sushi shop where you order $10 california rolls for take-out. Theres no open-kitchen practice where every customer gets to see what exactly the chef is doing - something you generally expect from an omakase restaurant that charges you $100+ per person.
Omakase at its finest. Thanks for the great service and fun atmosphere! Food
I came here for my one year anniversary and I am beyond amazed by the quality of food, service and professionalism by Keith and Chika. The reservation was very smooth and straightforward where they asked me what my budget was and if we had any food allergies. They were extremely accommodating with our arrival time that we requested on the phone call. The fish were freshly imported from Japan and tasted beyond any sushi restaurant in the lower mainland. The specialty sauce that was curated by the chef was done strategically and went perfectly with the fish. Furthermore, every sushi was carefully explained upon serving so that we knew what fish we were getting and the ingredients involved. The owner later spoke about his philosophies pertaining to how he upholds quality for his customers. He is super personable and had the most infectious personality. This restaurant owner has my utmost respect! Would definitely come back.
Chef k was really an artist with what he came up with for our meal. Had wanted to go for years and finally made it happen for wedding anniversary. 12 courses with lots of great niguri from all over. Bluefin 3 ways really opened my eyes to the different flavors in parts of the fish. Definitely worth the trip.
Keith and his wife Chicka are so awesome! It was our first time trying Omakase (the chef creates the menu) and it was spectacular! I typically eat white girl sushi , so most of the raw fish was new to me but chef Keith created it all so beautifully and the taste was to die for. Mouth watering and deliciousness in every bite! Make sure to make a reservation if you re going to stop by as they don t accept walk ins. Thank you so much Keith & Chicka for the experience, we ll see you again!
Sushi Chef Kamizato hosted us in a fantastic and gracious manner as visitors from Toronto, Ontario. The dishes were delicious and well worth the experience. Highly recommend a visit, well-worth the travel! Food
Lovely place. The food was yummy and the chef is amazing and friendly
This place was seriously amazing, hanging out with Keith for the night was an experience Ill never forget. It wasnt cheap but it was worth every penny and I would go back in heartbeat next time Im in Vancouver.
Foods good
The omakase experience here is transportive. An unbelievable ride you dont want to miss. Love, love love it here. Chef Kamizato is an artist and a star
An unbelievable experience. Keith is extremely humble but he has prepared sushi for the likes of Metallica and other world renowned bands in the rock /metal universe. We had the omakase experience and honestly it was worth every cent. The restaurant is small and intimate and in a bigger space you would lose the connection you have in Keiths spot. The fish is flown in from Japan among other places and Keith is incredibly knowledgeable and professional in his preparation. Keith is extremely skilled in traditional sushi but is also very creative with his work, throwing in some dishes you would not expect in an omakase set. Book ahead and prepare to enjoy the best sushi I have ever had in Canada. This is a genuine Japanese sushi experience.
This is without a doubt the best omakase Ive ever had in the lower mainland. What an amazing experience!!
Food, service and level of engagement from the chef/owner is all top notch. This place is the opposite end of shopping mall sushi in all aspects. Freshest, most unique sushi.
Quality food! This was my first omakase experience and it was wonderful. The delicate sushi, the wonderful server, and the interactive chef...it was a great night! Every single dish was a new flavor and each came with a thorough explanation. I wish I had photos of the dishes, but they were too good to let sit for a photo. Fish were mostly from Japan and the prawns were from New Zealand last night. The metal/punk/alternative music was also refreshing. I wonder what their take out food is like. I will definitely be back to Kamizato!
Hands down the best. No menus, no rolls, you get what you pay for and it s amazing.
Went here for my wife s birthday last year. We still talk about Keith s amazing dinner. Literally my favourite Japanese restaurant this side of the Pacific
This place is amazing! Every time we go we feel so well cared for and blown away by the chefs menu delights! Chef K takes away all the indecision, any regret, and knows exactly what you never knew you needed! Trust him - sushi will never be the same again. Thank you both. See you in a month.
This is the place, its literally the best sushi in the tri cities, its so good dont tell anyone.
Really enjoyed the Omakase here. They only serve a handful of customers every night so you really get to interact with the chef and it feels like youre getting a private dinner with some of the highest quality ingredients.
Wow what an amazing omakase experience! It was truly awesome. The sushi here shown was out of this world good! Almost everything he serves is imported over. Chef K gets the freshest fishes available! Set your budget and Chef K will deliver you an omakase experience youll keep coming back for.
I enjoyed the dinner a lot. Glad that we made it to the wall
Chef knows what hes doing
Exquisite. Loved that the fish served was much more flavourful and delicate than we have had at other local restaurants. The care taken with every course was noted and appreciated. Perfect evening for a special occasion, or when you really crave an excellent curated meal.
The chef is super friendly and the food was great!
For SO many reasons, this Mothers day was extraordinary. Sushi K. is definitely one of the reasons. Absolutely EVERYTHING about this dining experience was exceptional. I am still smiling and so happy that I was treated to such a luxury. Arigato to one and all.
My favourite new sushi place in Victoria. The staff are very kind and courteous, and the food is always top notch. Consistency between orders is very good and makes me confident that my order will be as enjoyable as the last. Great prices, expansive selection, and pleasant staff whether youre eating-in or taking-out.
Our omakase dinner last night was super tasty! We made the reservation over the phone a week in advance, and the staff kindly asked for the price range we wanted to experience. Although she says their customers usually go for $100-$120 pp, we opted for an $80 pp experience and it was just fine! The omakase was 10 pieces of nigiri, with a miso soup break in the middle. Chef K explained that he imports all the fish he serves directly from Japan, and he also prepares his own soy sauce with different flavours which he puts on the fish. We thought every piece was tasty, different, flavourful, fresh, and at the right temperature! Chef K came over to say his thanks at the end of our experience and served us complimentary plum wine a sweet way to end the meal! Tbh this place was a bit far and out of my way, but will revisit again on special occasions!
Amazing experience for any lover of sushi.
This was one of my best omakase experiences. Chef Keith is a pro and obsesses over serving highest quality fish. He is very creative with is menu and engaging with customers. He explains each piece of sushi and some backstory while serving. Can t recommend this place enough. You have to book in advance. Worth the price.
The most amazing experience one can have expect from a legendary sushi chef!!! (This is not the place for a California roll. This is a place for experimenting a mouth full of flavours!)
One of the best dining experiences I ve ever had. Keith was very welcoming and shared many stories about his interesting life and restaurant.
Just an amazing experience.
Loved the service and creativity of the chef. It was a good experience. However, the value isnt so great. We ordered $110 per person Omakase and got 10 pieces. Out of 10, 4 were tuna and 1 was salmon. There was no variety. For the same price, at other places, you could get more kinds like sweet shrimp, uni, mackerel, etc Miso soup, karaage and plum wine were complimentary which we appreciated. The pieces are very flavoured, if you like that, you will like this place. I felt this place is more for the chef s flavours than the fish itself.
This place provides the Absolute best sushi or Nigiri you will ever have. The best friendly service you will experience at any dine in establishment Highly recommend
Long story short: great food and service, true to Japanese sushi while still innovative. A uniquely authentic yet not strictly traditional sushi restaurant helmed by a creative prowess that brings fresh air to a cuisine that has been locally stifled. You will scarcely find another place that has 1 of the specialty seafood served much less all of them. The menu changes as the seasonality of each item does. Every main ingredient is prepared in its own way with well balanced sauce/marinade, garnishes, and other flourishes as needed. People used to standardized North American style sushi may be put off by the absence of the usual rolls, tempura, etc. but its well worth the effort to try something new. Personally, Id just leave it in Chef Keiths hands with an omakase course but when I was first trying out things its best to ask whats the most accessible fish of the week. In terms of service the maître d/manager Chika is a delight. In an age when most businesses tend to cater to the loudest, and often least polite, patrons its refreshing to see someone take a more stern approach. Weve all dined in places where raising your voice to be heard by friends are your table is the expected norm, thankfully not here. Top notch all around, the best Ive tried in the lower mainland thus far.
This is NOT a typical sushi place. You need a reservation in advance and be prepared to take 1.5-2 hours of time. This was a fantastic omakase experience. The chef is a very creative pro and obsesses over serving high quality fish. (I believe) his wife delivered each individual piece of sushi and a story of what and where the fish came from. Sit back, relax and enjoy. OH, yes, heavy metal -- such a different background. Be ready for ZZ Top, Metalica, etc.
Parking: Lots of parking. Great food and service
Best and most fresh delicious sushi ever! The decor and music is great too if you are an 80s metal fan
I rarely review restaurants but here it goes: if you love sushi, run, don t walk for the omakase experience of your lifetime.
Best place for Omakase, Ive been going there with friends for years now
Great omakase meal. Chef and staff create a wonderful atmosphere with great food, service,80s metal decor and cool metal music to accompany the meal.
Rude Japanese lady server made what couldve been great dinner. Im sure there are better options out there. Never going back.
Ive been to sushi kamizato a few times and it is a hidden gem! If you are looking for an authentic experience with a bit of a twist, this is the perfect place for you. If you are looking for cheap California and cucumber rolls, I would suggest elsewhere.
One of the best Omakase in BC.
This is the only place to eat REAL SUSHI To All SKK nation!!! Stay Safe out there
I ve had them two years back. They re not cheap but truly amazing food! I ve been craving their food ever since The owners are also passionate, kind, and funny people. Worth every dollars I spent there
The worst!. My family and me went there in a rainy day to order. The restaurant It had a sign that said open, we were trying to open and then knocking on the door and although there were staff inside they never paid attention to us.
Excellent sushi. No rolls or hot items, only high quality and unique sushi.
Love it. One of my fav! For those who s been giving low rating about not opening the doors, FYI - they re open, but they lock their doors since the pandemic and only accepts phone orders for pick up. They do not take walk in take out orders. Thank you Keith and Chika for the delicious meals and awesome services!
Keith-San is amazing! Witty, fascinating chef who has a deep love and passion for food. His care and desire to share some of Japan s very best really shows in every piece he carefully serves. What a gem of a place. Highly recommend checking out their omakase. Worth every penny. We love this place so much, we can t wait to introduce it to our family, friends, lovers for all our special occasions.
I am forever changed. A delicious experience, kind hosts, and delightful atmosphere. We were accommodated without a reservation (must make a reservation!), traveling from out if town just to have dinner here! And it did not disappoint. If you are a heavy metal fan, there are a few treats in store for you too.
We arrived without making a reservation (will definitely call ahead in the future as we were almost turned away) and were still incredibly well accommodated, enjoyed a truly delicious and delightful omakase meal. As a person who isnt much of a fish fan, this was beyond a doubt divine. Definitely worth checking out if youre in the area. Be aware that it is a hair pricey (it was omakase, after all) and its not meant to be fast food but instead delicious food.
I experienced my very first omakase here. It was sensational. Great taste, experience and service. Expensive? Maybe. Worth it? Every penny.
Great authentic sushi place. Dont come if youre looking for cucumber rolls or California rolls. Chefs a beauty
We re from Ontario and came here to visit. My cousin had been raving about sushi K for years so I had to give it a try. This was, honestly, the highlight of my trip and one of the best food experiences I ve ever had. Keith (chef k) and his wife are absolutely incredible. They created a comfortable, unassuming, unique environment where you have incredible sushi at the bar, listen to the heavy metal playing in the background, and get to learn about the different cuts of sushi from. It was so fun! Keith is an artist and takes pride in his work. Each piece of sushi is an experience in itself. Carefully put together to balance the richness and flavour of the fish imported from Japan with his creativity. I cant recommend this enough. If you can, put a budget of ~$100, grab a seat at the bar, a bottle (or 3) of sake, and ask Keith about how he assembled each of the pieces and about the metal bands that have had listening parties here! Looking forward to seeing you the next time we re in Vancouver, Keith :) - Tuba, Rahi, and Jasleen
We arrived at 5 pm and waited for them to put up the Open sign, only to be greeted by a lady through a small door opening telling us they dont accept walk-in customers. Before I could ask anything, she closed the door and locked it. I had to signal for her through the window to open the door again to ask whether we could make a reservation and she responded that it was full for the night and they only did omakase. I had to stop her from closing the door on me again so I could ask if I could make a reservation for tomorrow. Much to my disappointed she again dismissed me by telling me to call them to check for the availability. Too rude for words...
Had the most amazing meal! What a great way to celebrate a birthday great service great stories and an exquisite meal. We will be back
We have been living in the area more than 10 years and just noticed the Sushi place that is doing omakase. Excellent quality of food with the nice couple. If you like omakase, that s the must go place in great Vancouver!
Incredible nigiri and sashimi. Keith is an artist and creates absolutely amazing flavours.
Best sushi Ive ever had. Its authentic, fresh from Japan, and expertly prepared. Keith and Chika are both wonderfully hospitable too. This is my favourite sushi restaurant to go to anytime.
Fantastic sushi, has some special fish that are hard to find elsewhere. The saba was to die for, so was the engawa. The Japanese nachos ...a must try! Food was definitely a 4.5 star, but the service... Thats a different story. It was slow and dismissive. The chef seemed quite friendly and engaging with the customers sitting at the bar, but the server just ignored us (TWICE!) when we needed 1. Tea and 2. Refill of the tea. Definitely not the level of service i would expect from an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant. Read previous reviews for their friendly service, but was definitely not evident tonight.
Love it! Very good Omakase! Chef Keith is wonderful!
Omakase was excelt
What an Experience! This is not for everyone. No California Rolls here.
You will not have a better experience with a better man serving you sushi anywhere...always feel acknowledged and appreciated and literally mouth watering flavors.
Such a great experience! Everything Chef Keith served was amaaaazing and the ambiance was great tonight too with his metal music Its definitely worth a trip to PoCo, Ill try and come by again!! Chefs selection also changes every week so its a great selection of fish.
This is the best Sushi Restaurant in the town.fresh ,and delicious.
when we went there pre COVID 19 waitress was smoking and started serving without washing her hands.. from that point over priced worst sushi served.. didnt even bother to take photos.
AMAZING omakase at this unassuming restaurant. Keith, the owner and chef, is incredibly friendly and humble. Sharing his experiences, lessons, and funny stories as he prepared each nigiri, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him. Each course was prepared not only with great care, but impressive creativity in the presentation and flavours. Served 11 pieces, each nigiri was fresh and tasty, with some of Keith s secret recipes and combinations that were insanely delicious (ie: his Dr. Bonnie Henry). Authentic omakase experience, attentive service, friendly atmosphere, unique setting, and hands down the best sushi I ve ever eaten. Highly recommend, especially to those who appreciate high quality food.
Amazing! This is honestly the best sushi I have ever had. We did the chefs choice and it is now the standard for sushi. I am wrecked for any other sushi now
Unbelievable sushi, service and atmosphere. Has ruined all other sushi places for me! Thanks so much Keith
What an experience! This is THE best sushi youll have, in true Japanese style. Owner and chef, Keith, is friendly, talented, and down-to-earth. He creates and chats simultaneously, sharing stories of his restaurant, famous visitors, trips to Japan, and the sources of the specific fish hes serving. Thank you, Keith. Youre the absolute best.
What a pleasant surprise in the neighborhood. Outstanding skill of the chef with genuine ingredients from Japan, definitely remind me the taste of Japan. Highly recommended if you are a sushi fan, definitely try their omakase. While you cant fly to Japan now, its the next best thing until then.
Keith is amazing at his craft & every peice of sushi he creates is delicious and intriguing. Recently due to Covid & restaurant restrictions, we have been ordering take out (which has still been amazing) and cant wait until we can dine in again! A hidden gem in Poco.
My sushi craving has finally been satisfied! Decided to treat ourselves to a nice (take out) meal and were so happy with our choice. I called to order the day before because I was so excited after scoping Facebook. The hostess was pleasant to talk to and very informative. When going to pick up the food they had us wait outside and brought the food. The price is actually quite reasonable for the quality as all the fish was extremely fresh. I was most blown away by the variety of deliciously unique flavours each bite delivered. The food was humbly elegant. This was heightened by the fresh wasabi. If youve never had it, try it here and you will find it hard to go back. Overall the meal was $314 and honestly I didnt think it would be that much so I had prepared two steaks and some edamame but boy was I wrong. The meal comfortably fed 4 adults with leftovers! Admittedly we are pretty big eaters too. The only disappointment is that i may be ruined for other sushi. Definately will be a go to for a fancy dinner or sushi craving.
This place is a secret Gem. The piece reflects the quality of their fresh ingredients, preparation behind the scene and final products. Been going here for years on a irregular basis (irregular because I live very far from here. If it was closer to my home I would not hesitate to come everyday)!
Keith is a master at his craft. His creations are delicious and to me, his restaurant has the best sushi in the lower mainland. Keith and his wife, Chika, are the best hosts. Weve been going here for years and the meals never disappoint. You definitely want to try his special menu items and his weekly imported fish from Japan. If his restaurant was downtown, prices would easily be double. Great price point for the quality of food youre receiving. Definitely recommend the aburi toro and tigers eye! Give this gem in Port Coquitlam a chance - you wont regret it!
They ve menu posted on different websites with different prices on them; they charged much more expensive compared to the menu posted online. So I ve checked with the waitress & her reply was that we should ve checked the menu on Facebook. The fact is that we ve found multiple websites with their menu posted at different prices are quite misleading; also it s a bit sketchy when the waitress didn t mention the price & ask for our credit card information. Felt scammed!
Amazing experience
I can t comment on the food as I haven t been able to eat here. I have called for take out many times, some time they don t answer or they tell me they are all sold out. I tried to go there and they pretty much told me to leave as I didn t have a reservation, no offer take out or nothing. Of course with a horrible attitude. Seems like they are made of money as they show no interest in making any.
Love the sushi here, had the omakase with the wife. Cant ever question the chefs craft as we were brought back to Japan by his food. Will definitely go again.
Literally best food Ive ever eaten. Eat here.
Tasted fine, but waiting over 30 min for some nigiri when we had like two other tables? Not acceptable
Chef Keith is amazing, his food always blows me away and keeps me coming back every time Im in the Vancouver area. The Asian nachos are a must! Most fish is delivered fresh from Japan, and he makes up amazing specials weekly, the decor is all heavy metal inspired and music is on the harder side(personally this is a plus) as hes a huge metal fan. Service is great. Wine and beer selection is small but youre not going here for fancy beers its all about the amazing fish. Prices are higher and you definitely get what you pay for. He sometimes is not open at what would be considered normal times so call ahead of time to make sure also its not a large place so if you have a large group call to make sure they can accommodate.
Great service. Fantastic sushi and awesome classy metal soundtrack going. Ozzy. Queensryche. Metallica etc are all on while you eat n drink.
The best Japanese restaurant I ever had in Vancouver area. Its really small but comfortable. Make sure you have patient because only one chef and one waitress. All food are fresh and taste good.
Best sushi in town
Definitely hidden gem with the qualify of sashimi. Nigiri-s are very delicious and you can see how much effect the owner to put in to make that to edible art.
Chef kamizato has magic hands that turn fish on rice to nirigi of elevated levels. Truly a hidden gem in this strip mall.
Best sushi in Vancity!
Taste terrible. No fresh seafood.
Simply the best! Unparalleled in quality, creativity and freshness... the holy trinity of good sushi! The plates he creates are truely works of art, it almost seems a shame to eat them, that is until you taste it! I love this place. Where most places go for fast, cheap and questionable quality this husband and wife team have kept strict standards and great service, book ahead and dont be in a hurry its worth it. When they first dropped rolls from the menu I was concerned, but they wanted to keep high standards and it was the best decision. I didnt think I like sushi other than tuna sashimi, I was a big fan of maki/rolls and they had some great ones. But I was pleasantly surprised to start to be able to appreciate the subtle complexities of premium fish, unadulterated by heavy and cloying mayo, miran or hot sauces that so many other place rely on. I never want anything else now and I havent found his subtlety with sushi anywhere else. You need to try it, Id recommend starting with the assorted sashimi plate. It has a few pieces of each of an assorted sashimi and sushi and gives you a great intro to many different types of fish perfect for sharing, or a meal on its own. Add a house specialty or 2 or 4 and you have a great date night! Really want a treat, then leave it up to the artist and have the Omakase, your tastebuds will never be in better hands!
Waited 1hr 30min for order to come because the chef was busy preparing takeouts. Ordered Uni and later told us sold out, because they gave that to a customer they knew well, who came after us. Enough said. To people who say that you go there for the experience from an authentic Japanese chef, I have been to authentic Japanese sushi places (even the husband and wife shops) many many times, in Japan. Never experienced this before. Japanese chefs in JAPAN always care about their customers in-house first.
Bad customer service!!!!!!! Booked/resvered a table in advance (a week before), called in a day in advance to confirm/to make a down payment for omakase. Found out that they gave away our table to another customer because we didn t call them back to completely confirm the resversation even though the person on the phone asked for our name/number/how many people coming and we asked on the phone if they have omakase available and told us they do, told us that we had to come in and make a down payment. I understand about down payment for the omakase just so they can secure how many they have to have in advance for their rare fish, but I don t understand how they would give our table away to another customer when we have already resvered in advance. Like I m sure they other option on the menu that we could ve ate but appently they thought that we wouldn t come the day of and gave the table away, if we didn t make the down payment the day the table was resvered. I sure the food is great and all but customer service, I would have to rate a 0.
Dont expect this to be like other restaurants. For the best experience, make a reservation so you dont get turned away. Service is slow but thats the price of excellent quality ingredients and food. The Japanese food here is too tier, similar to Miku but with a unique flavor and unique plating. The chef really knows his ingredients, flavours, and metal music.
Not available to go, too long wait time for food Server or waitress is little bit racist, I asked some questions about food (recommendation, menu ), very unkind but attitude changed other race customers. Not recommended, expensive not delicious You only waste huge amount of money but frustrated their attitude
WAS The best sushi ever!!! We used to order a lot and average spend $100- 150 per person. We used to drive all the way for the special Keith style sushi until our last worst omakase experience that was a rip off $300 for two with non authentic omakase. The wife also requested a credit card over the phone to reserve for omakase and $100 charge if we didn t show up! With the regular sushi being so good we expected more show off of keith style surprise. But it was a huge disappointment as Keith had nothing else to show off. We should have sticked to regular sushi we usually order that fish were imported from Japan. We had actually experienced real omakase in Japan and other authentic Japanese restaurants, and what is served to us is not authentic omakase but gimmick to make more money with low cost of what we were served was lots of unfresh rice to fill you up and salmon. Despite Due to only one server - the wife and only Keith himself- one sushi chef- challenged to create sushi faster, and wife stressed to serve so many customers while handling all by only herself- she lacked smiling and attention to customers, their were 2 hour long waits, that was even fine with us as we used to love the food. We used to suck it up and tolerated these flaws while it was common that guests walked out after being seated and waited too long. However, it was the wrong choice to call in to tell the wife that we had a budget about $100 each person for omakase which we ended getting very poor value ( lots of rice and salmon) for $300.00 IT WAS A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT. Regularly spending $300 non omakase we were extremely full. But we were still hungry with the so-called omakase. Their wasn t even hot soup to finish the omakase and we had to pay extra for the soup. We regret going for omakase. We should have stayed with ordering the imported fish sushi from japan... but well too late as we found other competitors that offer even better genuine Japanese food... go for the regular sushi- skip omakase. If you want real omakase go to Tojo s on broadway, despite it was even more pricey $450 at Tojo s, but it was worth it! They give you mainly fresh imported sashimi from Japan and not cheap rice with regular salmon! Tojo showed off his skill of sushi creation. if you want good omakase surprise, go to Tojo s. btw, their seafood type cones are the best. The seaweed is crisp when served. You have not experienced eating what real cones are unless you try Tojo s. They make sure you are full and satisfied. Another place with fresh variety of imported fish from Japan with cheaper and better Engawa also charcoal sealed, bigger slices, oilier that melts in your mouth and even more variety of imported fresh fish from Japan with same style charcoaled sushi, sushi with special sauce, is Tsujiri Richmond. We get the full blown grand style Japanese sashimi experience while we order the whole Japan imported shimaaji fish ($110-120) with other imported Japanese fish that we order slices of sashimi and sushi. We were surprised to find this gem in Richmond that is actually better than Kamizato. We used to believe Kamizato was the best sushi place in Vancouver but not anymore. Tsujuri has a much bigger selection of imported fresh Japanese fish on a daily basis and opens to 12am daily. Not cheap at Tsujiri but worth with very friendly service, no long waits for best quality Japanese sashimi. Sadly, we will not be going back to Kamizato anymore despite the past this WAS the best sushi place until we felt being ripped off by our last omakase experience. We also spend between about $250 for two at Tsujiri but it is real grand style 5 star Japanese experience. Simply put, if you are near Kamizato, order imported Japan fish sushi and Keith style sushi is still the best out there. But avoid omakase! But it s pricier than Tsujuri for similar or less quality. But if you want real omakase, Tojo s is one of the best in Vancouver, but quite $$$$ but still worth. If you want real Grand prix Japan style sushi, Tsujuri is the place to go. Not cheap, but better value.
Yummy! Sushi K Kamizato is a delicious spot for fresh seafood sushi! We opted for the 10 piece Omakase with a few specific request and the remainder being the chefs selection. Great choices and you can really taste the freshness in Ks fish. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended and you must show up on time. Be patient! Chef K turns away walk-in guest, because he takes great care and pride in preparing orders for his guest which result in longer than normal wait times. One man show that is worth the wait. Lots of parking available!
Wow this place is amazing. It is small and kind of tucked away but once you find it it was worth the search. They make real wasabi and for a person who never touches wasabi at other sushi places take it from me, its a much try. It sparks every taste bud on your tongue and is spicy but just the right amount and as soon as its gone so is the spice and that is just the wasabi. Their fish is super fresh and they have lovely cuts. The Japanese tuna nachos are superb. They only serve authentic Japanese food so you wont find any rolls here. The menu is quite small and the price a bit high so I suggest its best to visit when youre not starving.
This is proper sushi. We decided to splurge and went for the $80/person omakase and its prolly the best sushi meal Ive ever had. I think youre getting better value here versus those downtown vancouver omakase sushi restaurants. Sure, no waterfront views here but the experience is authentic. Youre getting carefully selected, high quality fish paired well with signature sauces. Each sushi was meticulously prepared and presentation was great. Cant wait to eat here again!
Best place in the Tri-Cities for sashimi and nigiri. They do not have rolls.
High quality sashimi. If you want rolls, dont come here. They dont have rolls anymore. Best assorted sashimi ever. I thought the price is quite high but when the food comes you know why. Much try. If you love sushi by yuji in vancouver, matsuzushi in port moody and you dont mind the waitting, try this place.
Great place. Quality food. But not for everyone. I hope the owner keeps it that way.
Food was very fresh and service was excellent. Made me miss the food in Japan.
Excellent sushi...talk about umami...this hits your taste buds hard! It is pricy. Very pricy. Dont go there expecting to be filled up. Go there for the culinary experience. A chirashi don bowl is $35 but it will be the BEST bowl you have ever tried. Sooo yummy!!
Service is insanely slow; there was only 3 tables including us and the waitress still managed to fully ignore our table for more than 15 minutes. While the sushi itself is well done, I feel it is very overpriced as there are many comparable sushi places nearby with better prices, service and provide similar quality sushi.
Owner is amazing. Quality is great. And its a unique, and authentic experience.
Tremendous!
Nice little quite spot. Food is fresh and tasty. Menu option limited and no hot food like your typical Japanese restaurant. i.e no udon, maki rolls, tempura..etc. they are specialized in Nigiri sushi and sashimi. A bit on the pricey side and the service is not speedy as it is operated by a couple only. However if you are not in a rush and want some authentic sushi, should definitely give it a try.
Simply put, it is the greatest sushi you will ever have. No rolls or cheap dishes here though..... Plenty of custom creations and weekly specials that are sure to leave you wanting more. The owner is very pleasant and always willing to engage in conversation and teach the less educated about the finer points of good traditional sushi. The Rock shop is anything but traditional in its ambiance however, Iron maiden and other Rock posters adorn the walls or this truly unique and one of kind restaurant! Order can get pricey if you get carried away but you will not be disappointed.
Awesome sushi!!
Impeccable sushi, extremely friendly staff and a good vibe! Dont expect your typical Vancouver sushi joint - no rolls here! A small menu of regular items and a big white board of specials. Everything is delicious, fresh and made with serious heart. Start with a delicious appie and make your way through the daily specials. A little pricey but worth it for the quality. Eat here! \m/
super cool hole in the wall sushi joint. excellent decour, definetly a place for metal heads!!
Having lived in Japan, I still crave for Sushi K Kamizato s speciality sushi. The char on the aburi-style sushi with their homemade soy sauce distinguished the sushi here from other generic sushi restaurants. Portions are also relatively large by sushi standards. Be prepared to wait as the Chef makes up 50% of the number of staff at the premise. But your patience will pay off, it s well worth it.
Genuine hand made sushi! Some fishes are imported from japan by chefs choice. Unique and delicious!
If you want your California roll etc, this is not the place you should go. But if you are looking for the authentic Sushi experience, then come to Sushi K Kamizato, This is one of the best Sushi places in Great Vancouver, where you can taste the fresh Japanese sashimi with the warm Saki. It is a small restaurant managed by the Japanese couple, as most local Japanese restaurants now are managed by Korean or Chinese, this place is definitely more authentic and worthy. Not saying Korean or Chinese chefs cannot make good Sushi, but just the simple fact that the restaurant owner travels to Japan very often to learn most up-to-date cooking skills and taste best food in Japan. The fact that he could understand Japanese chefs and discuss with them to improve his own dishes, make me appreciate the fact we can try something that people in Tokyo is tasting without going to Japan. What I truly admire about Japanese cuisine is not only how fresh and delicate their food is, but the fact that even the best chef is always humble and keeps learning. There is a Japanese idiomatic expression: ichi-go, ichi-e, meaning This moment exists only now and wont come again or one time, one meeting I feel the owner of this restaurant is the reflection of this idiom as he treats every single customer as a friend that he will only meet once in life. If you are a fan of heavy metal or rock, you would sure love the decoration of this restaurant. Price wise it is not somewhere you want to go every day but once in while, treat yourself something good as I believe there are two things in th e world we should not miss: love and good food :)
Hands down the best sushi restaurant I have been to!
Best sushi experience! Thanks Keith!
Delicious, well-prepared food but very pricey.
The most amazing food there is in a rock and roll restaurant
Delicious sashimi and nigiri sushi. Creative but authentic. Do not come if you are looking for rolls because there are none.
The food is always great here. The service is good. You do have to wait a while, but it is worth the wait.
Best sushi in Tri-Cities. Always fresh.
Amazing. Love the authenticity of the sushi made here by Chef Keith! Its worth the wait as he makes it all... for everyone.
Quality sushi, nice heavy metal decor, and decent tunes.... But most importantly quality traditional sushi. Next time I go I want to try the Five Finger Death Punch - not because of the band, but because I trust pretty much anything this chef will put in front of me.
This is not ye olde California roll sushi shop. This is a REAL Japanese sushi experience with a REAL Japanese sushi chef and REAL imported Japanese ingredients. The food will take time to prepare, it wont be in massive quantities, but it will be pure quality. Recommend the omakase experience and going all out with it (requires 2 days notice). Its basically letting the chef decide your meal with the best stuff he has on hand based on how much you want to spend. Make sure to communicate any preferences or dislikes ahead of time. And DEFINITELY go on a weeknight at the bar so you can talk with the chef (Keith) while hes preparing your food. He has some great stories and can tell you about what hes serving. Weekends are overly busy. I cant say what my favourite thing is because its all melt-in-your-mouth delicious, from the toro to the salmon to the sea urchin to the mantis shrimp and beyond. Note: The music and decor are not too everyones liking because the chef is literally a rockstar.
This place is amazing, the choice of music is not traditional, but matches to the decor of the place. Keith makes art with his food, and he is very passionate about what he does. When I ask Keith to throw what he thinks best at me, the food flows, and you are left after the meal quite satisfied. A guest that I brought here said that the food was sublime, and I would say that is the perfect word for the food available here.
Some of the sushi was delicious, while others were so fishy that I had to swallow them with water. Unfortunately, the miso soup was lukewarm. The interior of the store is decorated with records that reflect their taste in music (I guess they like metal). It was painful to listen to Death Voice in the background while eating sushi. My sense of sight and hearing are so mismatched with my sense of taste that I get tired. I think the price is a little too high for the quality of the restaurant, which is run by Japanese people. Food was Ok, some was good some was too fishy so I had to swallow it with the water. I was quit sad because Miso soup was too cold for me. I think the owner chef loves Heavy Metal music, and many Metal records were displayed on the wall. The Background music was Metal music as well, it was totally mismatching with the food. I was having hard time listening to metal music and eating sushi together... The price was too high for this restaurants quality.
My favorite sushi restaurant! Prices are really good and food is amazing!
Not your average sushi place, the food is on a whole new level, Keith takes his skills very seriously. The restaurant is always clean, service is great!
Amazing sushi, fresh seafood, prepared with care in a family run Japanese restaurant.
Always delicious, they are by far the best quality sushi anywhere.
Sushi K is by far the greatest culinary experience I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Amongst the top sushi chefs in Vancouver, K Kamizato has no equals. His preparation is surgical; his results are purely sensational. The depths of flavour are immense. I implore anyone who is a fan of perfectly prepared cuisine to give this place a try. Thanks so much Keith, you are a sushi god
Absolutely exquisite fish and overall experience! Keith and his wife are top notch in all they do. Will absolutely be making the trip up from Seattle to experience Sushi K again!
Great music, great decor, a cozy home away from home! Simple menu just like a proper sushi bar,, and the chef is great!
Sushi Kamizato has truly authentic Sushi. The chef sources his fish from Japan. Be sure to order from the secret menu as there are some unique dishes there. Its so amazing that I chose not to even use soy sauce so I can truly taste the fish.
Lady didnt want to serve us! We sat for 10 minutes and she didnt even acknowledge us. She completely ghosted us we were in no way rude what so ever. The pace is quite small so she walked by us several times not saying be right there or anything was not even making eye contact. It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen. Even when we got up and left not even good bye or anything it was like we were transparent. I am guessing the food must be spectacular in order to be that rude and unwelcoming! Maybe the server was having a bad day but wow, I seriously never write bad reviews but this was weird and so unwaranted to be treated like that.
Simply amazing! I order a tuna udon and it tasted freshly delicious! Besides they have guitars in the walls and they were playing Metallica (Black album). All I can say to the hungry metalheads out there this is the your place to get some delicious food!
The highest quality sushi in PoCo area for sure. The owner is a cool dude and the place has tons of great heavy metal decor. Id give it a 5 star but I think it could be a BIT cheaper, but its high quality so you cant complain too much about that. If u want cheap sushi this place isnt for u
