Vietnamese Noodle House
What a great place! Not only is there pho, but there are stir-fry and noodle dishes. Every time I eat there I am pleasantly surprised by the fresh ingredients, the variety of vegetables in the dishes and the great flavour. Do yourself a favour and dine here after a hectic shopping trip at Costco!
We ordered Pho 1× Tai Gau, Rare Beef & Beef Brisket, .1 x P8 Pho Thap cam House special pho. Good Delicious & Very good serving. Price is medium high level. Please refer. 5 photos
The Best Pho ever!! And the fried rice and cheese fried wonton they are so so so good 😭😭 just place a pick up order in Crumbl cookie and eat here!!!
I ordered the chicken fried rice, spring roll and some soup. The chicken fried rice could easily feed 2 adults! Or 1 person for 2 meals. Incredible flavor! The soup is delicious, light and refreshing chicken broth with some greens. Spring roll was extremely crispy and delicious as well. Would come back! Staff was warm and friendly. Restaurant was clean and bright! Ps. I am vietnamese and am very picky with vietnamese food!
Highly recommend their Com ga nuong! Ingredients are all fresh and tasty. Comes with a side of chicken soup which was tasty as well. Good service. Location is easy to get to and it was easy to find parking in the complex when I went. Not sure if it'll be different during busier times.
Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got to it. All these 1-3 star reviewers shouldn’t review food because they’re clearly missing taste buds. The food was very comforting. The portions were very filling as well. The service was excellent also and fast. I definitely will be coming here again!!
In a small area within a small block, there used to be 3 Pho places. Now, there’re two left. And this is one of the two. Would have thought the food could be one of the reasons. But I found the soup base of the pho was plain , not beefy rich. The beef as you can see in the picture was also plain rough. Not beefy. The service was very courteous though. The place was also clean and pleasant.
Came to this newly opened place. It’s been open for a week and was excited to try it out. Overall the portions are large and reasonably priced. They are generous with the meat. Flavour of the Pho was good. Minor detail the noodles for the pho was not the authentic flat type but the main thing the flavour was there. The vermicelli bowl was very good. All the meat hardly had any fat on them. So great for the health conscious people like us. The spring rolls was also good too. Some recommendations to the owners, change the layout of the menu please add some pictures as some people like to see what they are ordering. We knew what the items are however not everyone are like us. Also have some items for kids please. Some kid size portions of the main menu items would be great. Other than that I hope your business will thrive as everything we tasted was great and not overly salted. The fish sauce was abit in the sweet side but I guess you are catering for the majority of taste buds. I would aim for more flavouring towards the authenticity side for the fish sauce which is generally more saltier.
The boss is warm and generous, a very enjoyable lunch! Vietnamese coffee is great! Will continue to go back
We were going to eat here but had to grab our crumble box first and was yelled at by owner about parking in their spot. Never eating here.
Good place to have Large Pho.
Pho Bo Kho was great. Bathroom was very clean and modern.
Amazing food, served with so much love and happiness. Old couple running restaurant take so much care of you asking about all your needs. Must try restaurant. Food : 5/5
Just about average for me. Clean interior but steep price (Large pho $18.99) for average tasting pho (With GST + Tips, it was near $23). I felt the amounts of meats were lacking and beefs were long chunk slices which I didnt quite like.
super clean, food was awesome, staff were so friendly!!
This is the best pho place I ve been to in the lower mainland! The food is amazing
I came to pick up an order here today and the parking lot was full as Crumbl cookies opened a location just a few businesses over. While dealing with the food pick up, I noticed how the business owner stormed out to go and screamed at a person who had parked in front of their business. I truly just find this so rude as they have no ownership of the parking lot that is shared with other businesses. Not coming back. Food was average.
Its one of my familys favorite places to eat. The food is delicious and not only a lot, but its also so delicious. Its the best rice noodles. The owners grandfather is always kind whenever he goes. I highly recommend it
Good food. Awesome place. My family loves the food here. Thank you for the kind service
Restaurant clean server pleasant! Lots of food portions! We will be back !
So delishes and good service
Pretty damn good. Nice atmosphere.
Dwiva caw tu barrel
Soup is great, the portion is good too. However, they raise their prices by $2 per bowl since 5 months ago, which is a little steep.
MY GOODNESS soooooooo goood! If you like spicy and meat get the Bo State pho. Also deep fried shrimp wontons are amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ordering from there. Nothing special to sit down and eat at in house though.
Ordered C3 and P8 Awesome service, clean and welcoming atmosphere, our server was really sweet and attentive. Highly recommend Food
Exellento pho and sauces taste better than other pho restaurants
Ordered thru skip pho bo only delivered half order. Told me they wouldnt fix order.
Update: we come here once or twice a week since We were wandering around the area, and found this Pho, we came here once a long time ago we didnt like it much, but we thought we would try it again, We found it is a new ownership now. Its a very clean restaurant, very friendly service, food was tasty to me, I will be back to try it again. Now we are regular customer, visit once a week.
Excellent pho broth at this restaurant. Prices and quantity very reasonable. Owner was super friendly, service is good. Restaurant is clean. Parking is a little challenging, usually quite full. Alternatively, you can park at Costco.
Not the best of Vietnamese cuisine but its OK.
$19 for pho, not big portion. Clean restaurant though.
Generous portions and quite tasty.
Love this place! Great food, service and prices!
A very nice family run restaurant. Staff was friendly and the food was good. They appreciated my business.
This place truly has an identity crisis, open inspecting the decor it had Vietnamese art work which looked beautiful. But I noticed the menu had not just Vietnamese but also Thai and Chinese dishes. Super confusing for a pho restaurant and very surprising. Now for the main part, the soup was sub par and very sugary as much so that I thought someone may have made a mistake and dumped in a pound of sugar but that s apparently how they make it. In conclusion I wouldn t recommend this place if your looking for authentic Vietnamese last place that was here was 10 out of 10 and will surely be missed by the community. Won t be coming back unfortunately. But I will say customer service is a solid 7.
Bum Bo Hue fans, please give this place a try. Their portions are generous, they actually put Rau Ram (Vietnamese Coriander) as a topping and the soup is very flavourful. Perfect bowl of soup and noodles for a cold day The owners are also very kind and attentive.
What a treat to see them move from Ottawa. Ive been going to them when i lives there too. Very special.
Friendly, professional, prices reasonable and too much foods for the price.
Really enjoyed the pho, fresh tasty. Dont hesitate Food
Great customer service, good food, nice atmosphere, washrooms are clean. As soon as you walk in, the owners will greet you with a smiling face and wave goodbye from the kitchen. When they first open, there was no lemon grass chicken on the menu, I mentioned to the son, he asked his mom to add it on. I like the family atmosphere, the parents worked 7 days a week, the sons will be there helping out and also take the parents home after work.
Great flavour and value. I am from out of town but have eaten here three times while visiting (once for take out). I have ordered two different Pho soups, crispy rolls and most recently Pad Thai. The portions are generous and everything has been very tasty. Give them a try. I think you will be impressed.
I like this place a lottawa :D
Good soup broth, very authentic House special Food
I had Pho Thap Cam. It was good, but I just cant give 5 stars as I used to eat the better one.
Pho was excellent, Banh was incredible do yourself a favor and stop in here for this gem. Many different things and absolutely lovely tea. Highly recommended.
Amazing owners and food! This is a weekly spot for us!! Highly recommend them!
Best Vietnamese food in Tricities hands down. I support this family owned restaurant. The soups are seriously flavorful and hearty without being salty. Try their Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef soup). Their portions are plentyful. Great value for the price you pay which is kind of hard to find nowadays due to inflation everywhere. Ive also tried their vermicelli and rice dishes. 5/5 Try this restaurant if youre looking for tasty, authentic vietnamese food. You will not regret it.
This couple that owns this has exceptional service to cater to each individuals needs. They both, as husband and wife individually have lovely energy they bring to their customers. With a positive energy and genuine curiosity to meet your hungers needs. This restaurant brings art + beauty and flavour to your plate. Be ready to lick your plate clean!
Absolutely love this place. The broth is savoury, noodles are some of my favourites. Their banh mis are top tier. Family running the business is always kind to me. Can t recommend enough!
I love this restaurant. It is very delicious and affordable with great value. The service is nice and friendly. Highly reccomend.
Amazing local Pho restaurant! Staff is so kind and the food is the best vietnamese food i have ever had! 10/10
best Pho in poco. My kids love it.
I visited this place again. Today was littlebit salty. Food
Very good food. Large portions. Freshly cooked. I tried Lemongrass chicken and likes it a lot. Size of Pho is HUGE Food : 5/5
Was happy to finally try this Pho location since our beloved Pho Toan Thang closed here at this same location a couple of years ago. The food here at Pho Bo Ga Ottawa was excellent. The Pho soups we had were very flavorful with their broth. The meat provided in the soup was of high quality and plentiful. Even the traditional sprouts and basil leaves were fresh. The fried rolls were excellent and had good flavor. Portion sizes of everything was truly excellent. Probably the best of any Pho restaurant Ive been to in memory. Service was very friendly though there was a bit of a language barrier with communicating with the gentleman serving us. Restaurant and washrooms were clean and well maintained. The biggest criticism I would have is that the Sriracha hot sauce was not actually the Rooster Brand (Huy Fong) that the bottles were, on the tables. It appears they replaced the hot sauce in there with some inferior very watery (much less flavor) type of Chinese restaurant style hot sauce. When mixed with the Housin sauce it did not result in great flavor at all. For the love of flavor guys! If you are a real Vietnamese Pho restaurant (with all other flavors on point) use the Huy Fong brand hot sauce in your restuarant! I might consider bringing my own from home next time to dip the occaisonal meat item in. :) I would definitely come back here and would recommend Pho Bo Ga Ottawa to others. Though not for their hot sauce! Parking: Parking lot can get busy at times.
I found the flavors to be a bit meh.. The pho broth was so-so but tasted a bit strange. Its spiced enough but maybe not as balanced as what I like. The beef was ok. At least the broth had a lot of flavor. The lemongrass chicken had a lot of lemongrass flavor, but I wouldnt go out of my way for it. Spring rolls tasted fine but were dry inside. The fish sauce was too sweet for me
Good pho here. I ordered the P5 regular. $15.74 after tax. Unfortunately, no tendon here. Broth tasted pretty good. Service was really good and friendly. Clean restaurant. Accessible. Parking: Can also park at Save-On-Foods Wheelchair accessibility: Front door is accessible
Good Pho and BanMi. Clean establishment Nice owners. Food : 4/5
Amazing family owned pho spot in Poco!!
Food was delivered by Skip. Lots of flavour and large portions. Good price too.
I ordered extra beef brisket, which was not good and not the same as the one came with the pho.
Best Vietnamese food in the area. I regularly drive out from Maple Ridge for their wonton noodle soup and spring rolls. Their soup broth is savory, authentic, and homemade. Highly recommend!
Good food and good service! Very friendly! Clean restaurant!
Their bun bo hue is the best in town! Also great portion sizes, very clean and friendly service.
Delicious food and amazing service. Their portion sizes were very filling and reasonably priced. I loved the deep fried cheese wontons. This sweet little family business is a must visit!
Amazing food, excellent service. Definitely try this place out.
Generous portions of meat and noodles for the regular size. Broth isnt as rich and flavourful as I am accustomed to. There are many different types of bowls of pho offering different meat combos, but there is no house special or Dac Biet. None of the dishes have tendon or tripe. There are rice dishes and vermicelli dishes but the meats all just say grilled. Is there lemongrass chicken? Ill have to visit again one day. This restaurant also serves Thai dishes but we did not have any of those.
Had grilled beef bun and steak brisket pho. Everything tasted great and was cooked properly. Service was attentive and friendly. Happy to have this new spot in our neighbourhood.
This Place is awesome! Their Food is spot on ! I am def coming back! THANK YOU SO MUCH!^_^
Very Tastey And Very Friendly. Thank You Very Much.
Some of the best pho I ever ate in my life! Turns out the place opened a week ago and the owners are a vietnamese family from ottowa. I will certainly be back to support this local gem.
Great food. Would definitely go again. Highly recommended....
Delicious food and amazing and tasty pho. Staff were very welcoming. The deep fried wontons and iced coffee are really delicious! Must try Vietnamese restaurant!
Foods are ok, but it is the most expensive Pho restaurants in the area. They also serve Pad Thai, which is not Vietnamese cuisine and some fillings for the Pho are not common... so not sure about the authenticity.
Fantastic soup! Recommend the ice coffee . Reasonable price. Definetly coming back
I ordered the regular size P5 and sweet iced coffee, both are incredible!! Good size portions and affordable too. This is one of my new favourite restaurants, Ill definitely be coming back :)
The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly! The portion sizes were filling and delicious. Come support this Poco gem, you won t regret it :)
The Hoành Thánh Cheese Chien is the best thing Ive ever put in my body. Everyone should go here!
Very delicious and quality food compared to others with about the same price. Definitely recommend to pho lovers!
Delicious pho if you are in the area. The broth was delicious, the service was great and the owner was friendly. Highly recommend!
The food is so delicious! I ordered Bun Nem Nuong today!!! It s fantastic! Really recommend!!!
Very good Pho! From someone that eats Pho once or twice a week. Soup is great, not crowded with noodles. Cuts of beef are wonderful, especially the brisket and flank. Clean and friendly.
Worst grilled chicken vermicelli I ve ever had. Chicken clearly reheated and overcooked, no flavour. Spring roll also reheated and rock solid.
Really happy to see another Vietnamese restaurant opened around the neighbourhood. The portion of meats and quality of the soup are pretty good; a little bit on the salty rich flavour side. The staffs are nice. Will definitely come back again. Imo, its better than the other Vietnamese restaurant within a 1 KM raidus.
Newly opened Vietnamese restaurant in the strip mall opposite Costco gas station. I ordered the grilled chicken with rice. It came with salad and soup. The portion is generous. The chicken is moist and flavorful with lemongrass bits and green onions on top. This is a winner. The soup that it came with was piping hot but was heavy on the msg. I also got an order of spring roll and it came with 2 pieces. They were hot and crispy. Filling was a tad salty for me but very good flavor. They have hoisin sauce and siracha on the table but I wish they have the chili oil. Nice to see a family business open and want to support them. Hope they dont go overboard with the msg though. Service was okay. Parking here is a bit tough. There are lots of shops but not enough parking space.
Awesome Pho! Can get busy but the staff are lovely!
In short: Absolutely wonderful food and wonderful staff. Hope this place never leaves.
This was such a pleasant experience. The service was great, the food was amazing and the portions were perfect. Pricing is also fair! I would highly recommend this place.
Good food, nice owners, clean place
Great Pho!
Found lots of hair In my food , lady at the front said it was normal, would not give me a refund , extremely disappointed
Clean, bright and comfortable decor. Friendly people and delicious food served quickly and with a smile. Try the tea too.
Best Pho I had in Vancouver. Rich and flavourful broth with a hint of cinnamon. Very friendly service and family business. Highly recommended!
I m really sorry but this place was horrible and rock bottom for me. There s no way the restaurant is going to last. 1 menu between 2 people, I had to take my own order!! That s right, I had to write down my requests on a waiter order chit, the lady came along and took it without saying anything really, our food came and they ignored us for the 20 mins. I had to get up to ask for napkins and a glass of water, then get up and go pay when done. The food was horrible, my wrapping around my spring rolls were practically mushy, undercooked, the chicken and pork in my Pho was so over cooked it was practically crunchy and the bill for 2 soups and 2 orders of Spring rolls was $50. You couldn t pay me to go back it was that bad.
My wife and daughter visited this place after we saw it was reopened. Not sure if its same owners or new owners, but the food was excellent. We where sad when the original pho restaurant closed as it was also one of our favorite spots. The reopened pho restaurant is equally is good. Serving are nice and hot and large great value, and good service, very pleased with our visits here.
First star is for cleanliness and atmosphere. Place is very cozy and pleasant to sit and dine in. 2nd star is for friendly atmosphere, kind hostess, very welcoming. 3rd star is for service, food came out on time! 4th and 5th stars are for quality and quantity. Portions were perfect and flavors were AMAZING! Highly recommend.
