Had an amazing birthday lunch. Food was delicious, great atmosphere. Our server Morgan was phenomenal, made our lunch that much better!

We sat on the deck on a beautiful mid-September evening and were waited on by Ashley. She took good care of us. The spinach blue cheese and cranberry salad with shrimp was excellent; my husband s apple, fig, chicken and Brie cheese sandwich was exceptional.

Went out to Port Dover on Saturday afternoon for lunch with my husband, son, daughter in law and grandsons and the service was AMAZING!! Food AMAZING!! Atmosphere AMAZING!! I will Definitely go to this restaurant again when I m back in town!! FYI the caesar was sooo good they infuse their vodka in garlic!!

Went here for a meal, great location, nice atmosphere. The crabcakes were very disappointing and the shrimp was not grilled. The waitresses were doing all of the work and the host was standing around. He never came to ask us if the food was all right or at least have a friendly smile . Maya, our server was killing it ! The burrito bowl looked delicious.

The view from the upper balcony is nice. Went for lunch on a Sunday before a play just up the road. It wasnt very busy, so the service was awesome. Good food and presentation priced around the average for Port Dover, which is a little higher than the GTA prices.

Friendly staff and quick service

Great atmosphere close to the beach with helpful service. The chi chicken sandwich was poorly constructed and overall pretty bland. The French fries were also very soft and tasted a tad undercooked. They also do not have any gluten exclusive fryers or grills so if you are celiac be wary of their gluten free label.

I always have a great experience here. The food is great the service is great the location is great! Would definitely recommend!

I have tried to reach out to the Restaurant via email, which isn t working and I ve also left a voicemail. Unfortunately, I haven t been able to eat anything today, because when we went to the restaurant, the food we were served didn t have any protein in it and was swimming, with too much sauce, looking more like a soup than a chicken and veggie dish on rice. And we never received the chicken in the dish at all, so we were told the dish would be taken off the bill, as I only had three bites and couldn t eat it. However, when we accidentally paid for it in full and realized, the waitress stayed oh well sorry, and walked away, leaving us stunned. She tried to tell me there was an up charge for chicken, for $6 to $8 dollars, which there is not. And that she took the chicken off of the bill. But chicken is included in the price, as stated on the menu, online and in restaurant. After I found out I had paid for it. I at least asked, can I have it back so I can try to fix it up at home. And she stated she had already thrown it out. No callback from the manager or owner, no response to the Instagram and the email isn t working. I still haven t eaten at this late hour of 8:30 PM, when I was there until 3:15 PM today, from about 2:30pm. It s not the $20 for the meal. It s the Principal, and we were looking really forward to going to this restaurant, and had researched it prior and were excited to try it out. Only to be sadly disappointed and ripped off. Beware!!! *** IF YOU READ BELOW GUYS, THE CHEF LIES. I have no reason too. Complete excuses, was only $20. It s the principle, and I only ate 5-10% of this meal and took a picture to prove it. Be careful when a business blames the customer, and comes up with excuses. I d hate for any other visitors of this establishment, continue to be treated UNFAIRLY, and taken advantage of in this way. If I wanted a free meal, I could have stayed to argue the bill. Not wait to post on here, to warn others. Good luck! Your response proves exactly what kind of place we are all dealing with here. ***. (Oh, and isn t it convenient that the waitress supposedly showed the chef the percentage of food left on my plate, when throwing it out in the trash.) I doubt this is regular practice, and yet another lie. Crazy to the extent they will go to blame the customer. Not good, we do not recommend.

Working in the area and its been my place to go for a beer and food. Very friendly staff and the food is very very good as well. Pad Thai is excellent, Burgers and wings are as well. But if you like Liver and onions its one of the best Ive had. Give 211 a try if your in the area.

I didn t try the food but they have amazing cocktails and a house made infused vodka for their Caesars. Would definitely recommend.

Food was superb and patio atmosphere out front was exceptional for a sunny spring day. Unfortunately the management left a single person to run all the tables that day. Consequently, while the service was friendly (and apologetic) the wait was significant.

My brother and I were there for lunch this past weekend. He had the fish & chips, which he enjoyed. I ordered the quesadilla but wasnt too impressed. Came out too saucy, which isnt a quesadilla and little to no cheese. Not well thought through menu item in my opinion.

3 of us were there for a fathers day meal. I had the fun guy pizza, it was delicious. My wife had fish and chips and my son had salmon. All meals were hot, tasty and served in a timely manner. 2 things! We had to ask for utensils after the food was served and my sons dish had a hair in it which he didnt make a fuss about.

It was a busy day and they we quick and food was fresh and delicious. Definatly planning another trip to Port Dover just to come here! And we will book a reservation next time! Waiter was very friendly and accurate, food is good but prices are ridiculously expensive . A $15 bottle of wine was $42, down the street at The Beach House the same bottle is $32. Shame on 211 main.

The food was good here, but it was more oily than I thought it would be even though it was fish and chips. The pizza was okay as well but not a traditional margherita. The atmosphere is great when you are on the patio on a nice night.

Have eaten here a bunch of times over 5 years and had a good meal twice, when they still served halibut which they no longer do. Since then Ive had mussels that were poorly prepared with so much bell pepper and tomato that it completely overwhelmed the mussels and I may as well just have been eating pasta sauce. Mussels need a more delicate sauce which is why white wine butter garlic sauce or coconut curry are the two most popular mussel dressings. Bell peppers all over it showed a lack of palate finesse. Next time I tried the pizza and it tasted old and had a cardboard crust. Then recently, I decided to give them one more chance. This time the haddock and chips were poorly executed. The very large chip slices were undercooked in the middle and the fish was grease laden, leaving both my mother and I feeling sick. In addition, the server did not check on us even once during our meal once we started eating it, so I could not ask for the chips to be better cooked or for napkins to drain the fish. We were both very hungry after a long day out, so we ate a large part of it anyway. I brought the leftover fish to my cats and when I plated it at home, a big red worm was in the flesh. Ewww! I called the restaurant and reported it but no one called me back for over two business days so I called again. Finally I was told to send photos to the owners phone number, which I did. I sent the actual fish and worm, and I sent pictures off the internet of the same colored red worm in fish. Ill post pictures soon but right now they wont load. The owner excused her restaurant from any responsibility by first criticizing the fact we had changed tables twice at the beginning of our visit. Well golly, my elderly mother and I were COLD by the drafty window and then the front door in January in sub zero conditions! Oh what troublesome customers! She then said wed been given 30% off already for the poor meal and service, which is true, but Id personally rather have a decent meal that didnt leave me feeling ill, than a discount. THEN she insinuated we were liars and cons by saying since the food had left the premises, she could not guarantee there was really a worm in it. I replied to her 14 dismissive texts, with a thoughtful string of texts of my own saying pretty much what Ive said here. She replied she wasnt going to read them and blocking my number. So, as you can see from her dismissive replies to other customers critiques as well, thats how she handles feedback. And her lack of good judgement and appropriate action all round, is why 211 Main sucks.

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine s Day with reservations that they made for us and they were only serving the late menu.. therefore we were not impressed. We drove over an hour to get there. Then the food came and I got the half baked salad and my boyfriend got the chicken quesadilla, it came and we could not believe the size of the quesadilla it was not a quesadilla to say the least it had pizza sauce on it and was bulky. He didn t eat any of it. The salad was okay. We won t be going back.

First time visiting 211 Main. We sat upstairs and were seated at a comfortable table for four. The menu choices were interesting and we had no trouble choosing four different dishes. Music was playing lightly on the in-house system when we arrived and was later replaced by an excellent live performance - check ahead to see if there is a performer. We enjoyed our drinks and each of us remarked on the great tasting food. We had to skip dessert to make it to the local theatre on time but the choices sounded very good. Definitely going back for more!

Service was a bit slow (for us) but the server was very polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. For us, it was too cold to have all the walls removed.

I had the most incredible experience at 211 Main last night. Its one thing to have such a proficient and personable staff but when the establishment attracts such a friendly and outgoing clientele now that says a lot. Add to the mix amazing entertainment, the great atmosphere and some of the most incredible food Ive had at a restaurant in a very long time and you have the combination to an amazing experience. Kudos goes to the owners who have, with no doubt in my mind, worked extremely hard to make it all happen. P.S. Do not be afraid to try the liver, it was the best Ive ever had and in combination with the mussels, which also had the best sauce, I was struggling to finish the meal and Ive been known to have a pretty voracious appetite.

Im gonna start off on a good note people like that right? SOOOOO after everything went wrong the restaurant was super kind and took our meals off the bill. But lets rewind a bit (or more like lets rewind an hour - this will make sense, just keep reading) My friend and I decided to try out this place after a fun day at the beach! The reviews were awesome, only expected great things. I went straight for the wine list and got me a glass of wine and ordered my main at the same time. (I could have finished a whole bottle in the amount of time it took to get that 1 glass - but that could just be the alcoholic in me talking ) ANYWAYS, after I got my fix, I was still waiting for the burger I ordered. Which was fine I still had my wine (and my friend) to keep my company. However, after an hour I got nothing left to say to my friend and my glass is looking way to empty BUT the food finally got the courage to make its way out of the kitchen. But I think it got cold feet because the side fries were freezing cold and my burger tasted like it was left sitting out to get cold for 30 min. Which I think is what happened cus my friends chicken wings were extra extra dry n chewy. Probably didnt time those out too well . I usually dont send food back but I had to in this case. However the manager was super nice and took the meals off of our bill. Meh

Had Cassidy all set to cater for an event and then she ghosted me .would not respond after many attempts to contact her after she promised me a quote . Left me hanging for 3 weeks until I had to find someone else with little time left to find a caterer. Will NOT go to 211 Main. Poor customer service, low end professional.

Not only was the food top notch but the well trained and friendly staff makes 211 the best spot in Port Dover to enjoy a day or evening out ..the entertainment is great as well ...this is a must go to establishment..well run and amazing chef !!!

Visited with children to eat fish and chips. It was unsurpassed. Service at a height! clean and tidy. There were declarations for Helloween, which captivated both adults and children. Thank you for your kindness. I recommend it to everyone. Kid-friendliness: Quite friendly, we were with 2 children..., the children were satisfied. Visitors with baby carriages were also seen.

I was randomly in port dover for a beach day. I felt like a drink so I walked in and was pleasantly surprised with the customer service, food and drinks. My bartender was absolutely amazing and welcoming. After my sun bathing I went back to the bar for some food ended up ordering their burger. it was phenomenal. Many drinks on tap. My Mecallan single malt was smooth as they come. They also have live music Friday and Saturday. Cheers

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Went with a group of 4. I had the Fun-Guy Pizza and really enjoyed it I m a mushroom fan. My partner had the Brie, Chicken and Apple pizza. I thought it to be an odd combination but I was wrong, it was quite delicious. The stairs and the parking were a bit of a challenge for my father, but the food and the service made it worth it. We recommend having a lunch (or dinner) here.

First time as we haven t had a girls night in a while! We loved the place however the chair are not comfy, if you have a round bottom you will not fit of the arm chairs will hurt your sides. Food was really good, we had the wonton nachos to start and I had the pad Thai so yummy. Would go there again.

Food is good kinda disappointed on the portion of things you think the item costs $20+ you would get what you pay for but they really don t give you much fries maybe half a hand full (in the photo I had only eaten two fries prior to taking the photo )

Had a pint during Friday 13th. Place was packed but the hostess found us a prime spot anyways. Food looked good being served to others.

Great food, had the liver and onions and the liver melted in your mouth. The misses had the tandoori salmon and it was done to perfection. Highly recommend to eat here.

We stopped in one evening for dinner and sat in the upper level, which is like balcony seating and we enjoyed the views. Food and service were both good. Nice little spot on Main st.

Very interesting place great eye appeal from the street. Front decks are nice sitting out back is like sitting in a parking lot in a run down area. Service and food was okay not great. The Rueben came with no side pickle seemed to be pieces mixed in with the sauerkraut which gave it a very odd taste profile. My wife had the goat cheese salad which she enjoyed. Ordered crème Brule for dessert which came with a very burnt top and left us with a bad taste in the mouth for a while. Overall seems to be on par with your average pub at best.

Stumbled across this restaurant while in port dover with my mom. We were super impressed with the menu and the prices, our server Sam W was absolutely amazing, so friendly, and charismatic. And the food was absolutely to die for! 10/10!! We will be back again

On a hot Saturday afternoon strolling down Port Dover main street, I was hungry and thirsty and needed to be refilled. There are couple restaurants with patio. This one sits on a deck and seems to have better shade. So I sat down in a comfortable corner and ordered a beer. I needed to cut down on carb so I ordered fish and chip instead of a burger. I wasnt expecting much but when the food arrived, it looked and tasted really good. Fish was nicely battered and cooked just right. I really enjoyed the dish and the atmosphere there.

We arrived without a reservation hoping we could sit out on the front patio. We were told to wait a few minutes at the bar. Before we got all our drinks we were taken to the back patio in the parking lot. We ordered nachos and when they came we were told they were out of salsa. The nachos were very dry and without the salsa we could not eat them. They did offer us a free dessert.

Good food, good service. Will be back, lots of choices on the menu.

Some interesting things going for the place. Unique menu items. Sadly we were upcharged for things that weren t disclosed. For example, my waitress suggested on her own to my husband that she could add ranch to the side of his wings without informing us she would add $1 to the bill. The kids pizza was $9. I was asked if I d like just cheese or with pepperoni. Not told pepperoni on a kids pizza was another $3. When I informed that I d ordered a 6oz wine not 9oz as charged on the bill, I was told it was too much trouble to correct and given a few dollars cash to compensate. This is after we and many guests were patient with very slow service and food arriving to tables out of order. Maybe it was just a rough night.

Our server tonight, Mikayla, was lovely. She was polite, attentive and friendly. We had the brie, apple and chicken pizza and it was delicious. Definitely recommended. Get a table at the patio if you can.

this place has dry food! we ordered 2 burgers and a fish and chips and it was all dry! the pattie s and fish were dry and even the fries. decent food other then the fact u need to drown yourself in water afterwards. service is nice. food took about 30-40 mins. overall i don t recommend this place

Delicious salad, great staff and vibe.

Its a very intimate place to go, perfect for casual drinks and/or dinner. The burgers were excellent, the service was ok. Ive gone and had excellent service but this specific time wasnt great. We watched everyone around us (who had a different server) get their drinks/food right away but we were still waiting for our appetizer. It was a little disappointing but All-in-all, the live music and the good food&drink made up for it.

Another fabulous evening at 211Main, wonderful cocktails and some very tasty wines. The dinner was another homerun and service was warm and welcoming. Wonderful!

We stopped in for lunch, took a long time to be seated. 30 minute wait before anyone took our drink order, another 30 minutes for our food order. They brought the wrong food after an hour wait. Luckily they brought us a free drink and corrected the order. I could not believe how bad the service was. People came in to the patio, ordered, ate, paid and left before we could even get a refill on our drinks inside. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Not a good experience . We came in and were super hungry. Our server, Cullum did not seem like he enjoyed working there right from the beginning. Not a smile, not a welcoming phrase. Our draft beers were not cold. We had to ask him to get that sorted out. It took about 20 minutes for that. We had to get our own straw for our sons drink even after asking our server for it twice. We ordered an appetizer for us and a pizza for our son. We got that in ok time but being the 2nd table on the patio ( out of about 10) we were the last ones to have taken our main meal order taken. Everyone else got their meals, finished them and we were still waiting. My husband went to talk to Callum to ask what the hold up was and his response was its not my problem, I cant control the kitchen. Not an apology, not a sorry just pure attitude. We ended up paying for our sons meal, our app and 1 beer and left. Hungry, upset and disappointed that our family day was ruined. Callum, if youre not happy to work there, stay at home and dont ruin peoples day out that we drove one hour to hope to enjoy.

The most bad experience I had . If I could I will not give any star. Calum he is not respectful server, not smiling, grumpy face, not answering nice when I asked him about our late order and he need a customer service training. Never again.

Great service, and great food! A bit pricey but worth it considering the quality of the food and ambience. My only criticism is that it feels a bit tight, when there are a bunch of people, but theres not much you can do about that.

Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere, amazing food. Appreciate that they also offer Beyond Meat patty to substitute for your burger. Vegetarian options: Beyond Meat

Great place to dine if you are in town. Staff is very friendly and overall good atmosphere. Food was good also, I am not a fan of quinoa so my only complaint with he dish I ordered was that they mixed the quinoa into the wild rice. Would have preferred the quinoa on the side and not mixed. Was not overly impressed with the dish, but I have been here a few times so they get the pass from me as far as their food quality. I dont want to overly give them a pass or mislead anyone though, so I would suggest they step the game up a bit on flavors, presentation and freshness of ingredients.

Great place, great food! We are new to Port Dover, and we loved our dining experience at 211 Main st. Waitress was nice and the food was really good.! We will definitely be back.

Service was decent and atmosphere was welcoming. However the bar chairs were really uncomfotable, and the draft beer I ordered was off... clearly the lines had not been cleaned in awhile. My guest ordered a diet coke which was completely flat. If the owners took more pride in their establishment I might have stayed and tried the food.

I booked a reservation for a get together with friends well in advance at this restaurant. Weeks later I got a call telling me the date I booked would have to be changed because the restaurant was closed I was called extremely last minute. Dates on our end could not be changed. So, no this is not a hollow baseless review. You left my party scrambling to make another reservation and I didn t appreciate the last minute cancellation.

Reasonably priced, good food, nice atmosphere, and as a non-meat eater I really appreciated the many options for my diet. Would certainly dine here again. Vegetarian options: So many options on the menu. The Butternut squash taco appetizer and the Fun-Guy pizza were excellent.

Food is great. Wonton nachos are the best!!! Service is awesome. Some music entertainment is far too loud for such a tiny space.

My first time at this restaurant. The food and the service were outstanding. I will definitely be back. I had pizza with a cauliflower crust, which I have never had before, and it was absolutely delicious. Our server, Clarissa, was attentive, professional and thorough and her excellent service enhanced our enjoyment of our meal.
