I generally like this place and visit regularly as one of the few places around with healthy options. I am often quite pleased with my order, however, sometimes the bowls or drinks don't taste as good as the last but I accept that risk having limited other options given my food allergies and dietary needs. Today I was thoroughly disappointed as I ordered online and added special notes in the section provided, which was clearly not looked at. I ordered a keto bowl requesting no cheese, no tomatoes which both were in my bowl so I was unable to eat this since the cheese was goat cheese, spread throughout. I also checked off rice and greens as a mandatory selection which I received no rice. I also ordered an Ivory ice and requested in the notes coconut milk (something I get time and time again) and today whatever milk was used was very chunky so I was not sure it had not gone bad and therefore did not drink it. I'm happy to pay a pretty penny for food when it is good quality, which I will say I consistently find at Ivory fern but I also do expect when your site provides a section for special requests and you can check off added choices that you are going to provide for these accommodations. Spending $33 for lunch that I then had to throw out isn't something I will risk another time.
Stopped in yesterday for a quick bite. If you're looking for a tasty, healthy, reasonably priced meal. This is it! Don't let the word salad trick you into thinking it's not filling. I'm a big eater so I ordered the large bowl and I was very full in a good way. Very friendly staff, nice patio and clean place. I only wish it was closer to home. It was worth the two hour drive and my highlight to the 13th. Cheers Steve
I viewed on line most of the Port Dover restaurants looking for healthy options. Most were deep fried focus and that means artery clogging linolic acid from canola oil or vegetable oils. I found this lovely place and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was lovely, service friendly and helpful and the food was both healthy and delicious.
My first visit to Port Dover so I did some research for lunch options before choosing this place and it didn't disappoint. I got the power bowl (mamacita) - simple, healthy ingredients but so good and filling.The large size was very generous (I couldn't finish it in one sitting) and the homemade dressing was delicious (I ended up buying an extra one!). I only regret not trying one of their lemonades so will have to go back!! Also, very friendly staff who seem to truly care about the food they prepare. p.s. thank you for offering me tomatoes from the bushel!
Love the food and smoothies! We ordered the mamacita bowl and their barbecue beast tacos. Amazing! The presentation was lovely and the portions were perfect. The bowl was huge. It was all delicious and nutritious! Ginger glow and clean kale smoothies were the bomb, super refreshing! The gals working were super friendly, upbeat and really polite. We really liked it and will be back!
With all the unhealthy and fake food I’ve been searching for a place that has real, clean and nutritious food at an affordable price. I ordered the regular chicken taco and I was amazed at the quality of the product. I would strongly recommend giving this place a try, you won’t be disappointed! The lady there was so sweet, amazing service!
My boyfriend and I decided to try this place for lunch. I ordered the dilly tacos which were amazing. My boyfriend ordered the Dilly Dover Melt based on the photos that are posted online under their menu but as you can see by the picture attached that is not what he received. We knew that they were out of provolone and were substituting cheddar but the rest was just crazy. We also did not receive the side of ranch. I never laughed so hard opening a food box.. I think we got the Temu version of the Dilly Dover lol Moral of the story is to check all of your food before walking out not just one box. We will be back though because the tacos were phenomenal.
Such a cute spot, and amazing food/drinks! We ordered a Shawarma Wrap, Iced Matcha Latte and an Iced Caramel Macchiato. The wrap was incredibly filling, and full of flavour. The drinks were just as incredible with amazing flavour and presentation! Absolutely my favourite spot! :)

good place to grab a salad, wrap or tacos to go. not the best to sit down for a meal. nonetheless the food was delicious and nutritious! highly recommend although a bit expensive, it s worth the price for the fresh healthy food!
Was hoping to have dinner yesterday evening, recognizing that it was 7:30 PM and the restaurant closes at 8 PM. Was disappointed to hear our group of two would not be able to place an order because they were out of some proteins. It s too bad we love this little joint But our most recent experience, including being shooed away by a staff member with a cigarette in hand has changed our opinion permanently. If Your operating hours are posted then keep the open sign on to at least a few minutes before close.
I ordered the 3 dilly tacos from Ivory Fern Foods via DoorDash and received my food with a snarky note stating, add need to be payed for next time please. =) but there was no option to add extras or additional charges on DoorDash, making the note unnecessary. While the tacos themselves were good, the communication left much to be desired. A more professional approach would have been appreciated. Given this experience, Im hesitant to order from Ivory Fern Foods again until they clarify their procedures and improve their customer service.
I placed an order this evening using Door Dash and when I opened the box there was a dead fly inside with my tacos. Absolutely disgusted this is not a Door Dash issue, its definitely the restaurants responsibility. Will not order again
Went in this morning for some tacos, was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised, the staff was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very welcoming.
Called in and Ordered two small BBQ beast bowls, 2 smoothies. I asked that one bowl had the mamacita sauce instead of the Ranch. When i went to pickup the smoothies were wrong and the employee stood there and argued with me about my order being right and i didnt order that. My order also came to $45 with no tip for two small bowls and two smoothies. When i got home, there was 3 sauces total and looking at the reciept i was charged for an extra sauce. Both bowls were different, when i ordered the same thing?? i dont understand. Every since new ownership i have not had a good experience. I come here often and its always a mess inside, staff arent friendly when picking up the phone for takeout orders.
Outstanding experience! Great atmosphere. Delucious food! Keto Cobb bowl was awesome! The kids loved their Tacos and hubby got full with his Shawarma Bowl. The service was great! Highly recommended!

I recently visited the Ivory Fern and had an amazing experience. The restaurant felt extremely welcoming as soon as you walked in, The employee was extremely helpful and very friendly . Not to mention, the food was absolutely delicious! I cant wait to go back for another visit.

Just wonderful!! The food is fresh and delicious - but - be prepared, the bowls will very easily serve two. The mamacita is my bowl of choice (sooo good!!) and Im told the shawarma was delicious too! We ordered via doordash and it arrived sooner than expected.

obsessed with this place the food is amazing!! only complaint is everything is very watery the sauces the tacos. I had to drain my tacos before eating them and the dips are like water other than that the flavor and presentation is on point

Healthy options in a small town where it is otherwise hard to find something to eat. The power bowls are great and the smoothies are tasty. Only downside is that it s a bit pricey and one time they put chicken in my power bowl which was supposed to be vegan. Make sure you communicate how you want the bowl to be if you have any dietary restrictions. Other than that one accident I ve had good experiences there
Epic bowls and tacos , the flavors were spot on, everything fresh and such a cool vibe.
Iced drinks are not iced and lacking in ice both times I ve tried (and not busy at all when ordered so don t think that s the issue). Tip .shake your hot beverage in a a shaker with lots of ice THEN pour in cup filled with ice. Otherwise your hot drink will melt the ice quickly and it will taste watered down and gross. Which is what I have gotten here both tries. Also the sizes are not worth the price. Starbucks pricing but with smaller drinks that taste watered down. Can t speak on the food, have not tried it. Seems to do better though based on reviews below. Also don t water down the espresso. It s already having milk added to it. You water it down and it just tastes like swamp milk. I m giving my honest opinion and advice because what you are charging for these drinks, would be fine, if they tasted good. But they don t. :( I want to support local but we dumped both as they were just not tasty at all. Sorry I gave the benefit of the doubt the first time thinking newer place sorting it out. But it s been a while now. It should be sorted by now. I don t know if I ll be back. Please just consider upping the effort on the drinks. We need more specialty drink options out here but this missed the mark by a lot. Maybe these drinks are an after thought to the food. I don t know. Maybe go try similar drinks you offer from other places and start over with them. I desperately wanted some good iced coffee drink options, this just sadly wasn t it.
Always amazing!! The food is 10/10 and there are so many delicious, healthy options. My go-to is the Mamacita Bowl! Love the atmosphere and decor, and the staff is always incredibly kind.
I ordered the shawarma bowl through Doordash and it was so good!!! 100% would order it again, I was going to order something from McDonalds but this place is much better value, you get good quality nutritious food for a reasonable price.
My wife and I like to cycle and we like to have lunch when we are away, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an incredibly tasty meal.. so good!
Excellent smoothies and tacos
Was hesitant to try this place as it seemed healthy ! Lol as it turns out it is but the food was delicious... should of stopped by more often!
Tried takeout from Ivory Fern based on a locals suggestion. The smoothie was average & bowl (Athena) had good flavour combination however the romaine lettuce was simply not prepared. Large, folded over pieces (not mixable in bowl nor edible without cutting) and quite a few leaves that went to compost. Might try again but will change up the order.
Absolutely delicious... shared a bowl and each had a smoothie. Wish we lived closer, we would go lots more! Reminded me of Matcha Mama in Tulum, Mexico.

Wow wow wow. Had to stop mid way through eating to leave a review its soo good!!! Got the shawarma bowl and damn its wayyyyy above my expectations. Perfect portion size, flavourful af, veggies are fresh fresh, and rice was cooked perfectly. Made with love is not a joke! Such a little gem this place.

UPDATE: After 2 years I am updating. I hope this change isn t permanent but there doesn t seem to be much selection for vegans anymore. No more jackfruit as well, making veg substitutions extremely limited. The menu seems to have expanded but there doesn t seem to be anything for me to want to eat anymore, aside from the Mamacita bowl, they list it as vegan however I m almost certain there s mayo in the chipotle sauce they use? To echo what some other reviews are saying, there s been a handful of times where my order has been incorrect and containing allergens that I can t have. I make sure to communicate dietary restrictions very clearly but sometimes mistakes are still made. When picking up your items I would triple check that what you ve ordered is what you re getting before eating it Additionally, they have raised the prices on the menu which is completely understandable as the cost of food items is up for everyone. But, this makes lunch an extremely expensive endeavour, it comes out to OVER $30 per small lunch (bowl & smoothie) with tax and tip. I find that completely wild and unsustainable I hope these changes are just temporary and I d be glad to come back if things get better, I want to keep supporting this business OLD REVIEW: Grateful that Port Dover has a spot with options for vegans. I call ahead to make sure it can be done and most of the time they are able to substitute certain ingredients. Everyone who works there has always been very friendly and helpful with menu suggestions/accommodations which is nice. I really love that there is an option for this type of food here, it s always fresh and delicious and doesn t leave you feeling sluggish after eating. Very cute decor on the inside as well!
a definite 10/10 recommend for lunch, coffee, smoothies, and more! Had an Awesome experience at this great local healthy takeout spot. I Had a power bowl (delicious, super fresh ingredients, and a Lights-Out sauce !), a super tasty smoothie, and walked away with this cute little latte for Valentines on my way out. Super friendly staff, female-owned, and truly top notch food. Their menu has lots more I want to try. I ll be back @IvoryFernFoods !

I am obsessed with their tacos!! Would highly recommend. Take out orders are ready almost immediately, I never have to wait. Ordering online for pick-up is so convenient if you dont want to wait around inside. Drinks are always creative and they have a variety of non dairy milks. keep up the great work/service. We discovered Ivory Fern foods through a Google search, having never been before but living just outside of Port Dover (in Simcoe). Simply put, the powerbowls and tacos are DELICIOUS, the ingredients are fresh and flavourful, and the iced coffees are so well made (they rival your favourite Starbucks creations). We were looking for something similar to a Freshii and when we found Ivory Fern, we got something 10x better! Highly recommend checking this place out (especially if you enjoy high quality, fresh, and yummy healthy meals!).
Wow!! Just ordered 2 of every kind of taco and we can t decide which one we like most! Definitely be a regular place for us to eat!

Fantastic little gem!! I was just strolling in Main St. Port Dover, Ontario and I saw the Ivory Fern. I am so happy I went by. The restaurant is small but very chic and clean. The food is ansolutely amazing! Delicious, tasteful presentation, right portion size, very fresh and quality ingredients. Service was quick and efficient. Really really liked this place and wish it was located in Toronto where I live.
Wonderful place to sit outside and enjoy a fantastic salad! Fresh ingredients, great options and made to order. My husband doesn t normally go for the good stuff, but he enjoyed the atmosphere and smoothie. A must for all healthy advocates.

I love Ivory Fern! A super healthy take out resto! They have great power bowls and the food is always fresh! Call ahead during peak times and it will be ready. My fave is the Mamacita bowl.

UNBELIEVABLE ! This place is absolutely delicious ! I eat there weekly ever since the first time I tried it. Alexis the owner is especially sweet and welcoming, she caters to almost any diet, whether thats ; vegan, vegetarian, keto, gluten free, you name it ! I especially love the Mamacita powerbowl and the beef sandwhich !

Our first visit to Ivory Fern was a great success. I loved the unique decor and fresh clean look. We eat Gluten Free and Vegan and were very happy with their menu options. They even said that with prior notice they could accommodate no added oil on some selections. Very impressive! Were not local but will definitely return.
