Never a dull moment at NFE! Best sandwich’s, soups and salads you could ever imagine. My go to is the “Whatever’s Cleaver”. I have full trust in the owners to provide me the BEST and most delicious meal. I appreciate their humour, the decor of the shop is unique and spot on for Port Dover. I highly recommend taking an adventure to the Neighbourhood Food Emporium
This Thanksgiving we opted to try out a prepared dinner so that our family could enjoy a relaxing night in and focus on hanging out together, instead of slaving away in the kitchen. Yes…I missed the smell of turkey in the oven. BUT but, but…the delicious meal prepped by The Neighborhood Food Emporium exceeded our expectations. Not only was it delicious, it was packaged nicely, priced right, and came with easy instructions on how to reheat. You could tell the thought and care that went into this meal and I genuinely appreciated every aspect of it :) Highly recommend!!!
The best sandwiches around. Homemade bread, wicked selection of chef inspired toppings and sauces. It was sooo good and great size! They also had some delicious take home meals that are are on the list for next time! Well done Aaron and Jess
I've been there a couple of times. First and foremost you can see just how much they love their shop and what they do. All the hidden little treasures and jokes around the place makes you feel so welcomed into their shop. You'll never be disappointed by the portion size: the sandwiches are large and well filled. I highly recommend the Dover Cheese Shop Grilled Cheese. It's so rich and cheesy, it'll make you want to never make a grilled cheese at home again. Though I'm not a fan of popcorn, they offer a side of it with each sandwich. That said, even the popcorn is authentic and good. I also really appreciate that they make some ready-to-go meals for busy individuals, something I've yet to explore yet but if it's anything like their handcrafted sandwiches, I guarantee you'll love them. They also focus on locally produced and made offerings to take home on top of being part of their food. An absolute must if you're in Dover
came in for a visit from out of town, and this place was out of this world!!! got the build your own sandwich with turkey… and it was the real deal!! not deli slices at all!! bread was amazing and fresh, and the free side of popcorn is a great touch ;)
The Neighbourhood Food Emporium is my favourite spot in Norfolk County to get a delicious sandwich. Lovely couple that owns and runs the shop; always smiling and welcoming. I’m always happy and smiling after I’ve had my go to sandwich from them.
My girlfriend and I HAD to try the new sandwich shop in town that’s been making waves. We each got build your own. The options were very interesting, and the menu was easy to understand. Now lemme tell you about that sandwich. Everything made fresh, even the meat was sliced to order, bread was soft and flavourful, this very well might be the best damn sandwich I’ve had. 10/10 will be coming back.
Jaw dropping sandwich’s! They are very good and everything is home made! Try the lemon miso it’s great as well. Awesome service

Why go to a chain restaurant when you can eat delicious and unique sandwiches with fresh local ingredients. If you live or are travelling in the area, this is a must try
We are so excited to have finally tried the Neighbourhood Food Emporium! Aaron and Jess, the place looks great and even more the food is amazing with fresh, quality ingredients. I tried the Ham Sandwich on Focaccia (an enormously delicious sammich). My guy had the Salami Trio on Focaccia (another enormous sammich), which he devoured, I didnt even see what it looked like. The fresh popped Pop Corn was so yummy! Cant wait to try the frozen take home Pot Pie, and Strawberries brought in from Matz Fruit Barn. We will be back for more good eats! Every town needs a place like this!

What an amazing spot for a sandwich. This is a new start-up place opposite Stoneys in downtown Port Dover and can they serve some great meat! Well worth a stop for a wonderful sandwich.
Amazing locally sourced and delicious home made food. Lots of options for sandwiches and take home meals. You can make your own sandwich or choose from a variety of options, including vegetarian, (and the opposite - see the dagwood sandwich!) that Aaron will then make you from scratch. The prices are extremely reasonable and the atmosphere of the shop is lovely. Would highly recommend. Note: This is a take-out only shop, so a fabulous option for taking a meal home, packable work lunches, or for a picnic table lunch across the road at Powell Park. Vegetarian options: They always have at least one delicious and well crafted vegetarian option on their rotating menu.
First time customer and it was awesome we called in the order and it was ready and waiting when I got there. Very impressive with the quality of ingredients. I ordered the Dagwood sandwich, amazing. It is Huge ! I will definitely be back again.

Left the Emporium with a Take Home and followed the simple reheat instructions. The flavour I found in the Curried Potato and Cauliflower was so rich and authentic that it still amazes me how far so few ingredients can be taken. Aaron is obviously a master of his trade, doing what he loves. Expect a friendly, small town experience. Another satisfied Vegan! Five stars.
Delicious and generously sized sandwiches packed with fillings. Choose your meat, cheese and toppings or if it is overwhelming, there are a couple of house options. We had a turkey (real breast) and a salami sandwich. Bread is very nice, appears to be a house baked focaccia flecked with salt. Complimentary popcorn with seasonings. This would be great picnic fare once the weather warms up as there is not seating in the shop.

Just had my first sandwich. roast beef with fixin s on the focaccia bread, by far the best sandwich I ve had in a long time. I split it in half and shared with my son, good portion size. I would highly recommend this new gem in Port Dover. Sandi T.

Awesome place! Kids loved the chocolate chuck cookies which are huge. Took home bangers and squeak for dinner. It didnt make it to dinner....

Above and beyond for food. Tried the Brisket sandwich and Duckys Dagwood. Probably the best sandwiches Ive ever had. You cant beat the price for a menu thats made from scratch. Other places would charge and arm and a leg. All local ingredients to! Doing yourself a disservice if youre in the area and you dont try this food!
I stopped in, this afternoon to pick up takeout & to see what the new interior looks like! Warm, inviting & very welcoming! As well, the scent coming from the kitchen, smelled delicious. My meal, is delicious as well. Definitely, will make my way back here
Went for the first time today to check it out and it s very warm and inviting! They re friendly and the food is AMAZING and looks amazing . I ordered the Monte Cristo and I literally inhaled it. 11/10!!
