We have only good things to say about Nookie s! The food and vibe was 10/10. Food was super fresh and seasoned so well. Emma was great. Blackened salmon was A+

We attended Nookies for our family Christmas dinner tonight and sat upstairs.The atmosphere was nice and quiet for our family to enjoy celebrating together. Unfortunately this was the only decent aspect of the night. The server dropped a tray full of drinks on a 10, and 3 year old ( which I totally know can happen). When the food came my daughters steak was not cooked properly and the lobster tail was laughable. My uncle had a BLT which was actually just an LT because the tiny burnt piece of bacon on his sandwich was not worth eating and I noticed he didnt even eat. My pasta was dry, the broccoli was very undercooked and while I was eating I noticed that there was a rotten piece of banana in the pasta. The peel was on the banana and had been cut of the end of a very ripe banana which somehow made its way into my penne. I do understand that servers make mistakes but being compensated in some way for the mistakes and terrible food would of been the right thing to do.

Came in to no workers, sat ourselves down and waited a long while to have someone come up to us, ordered after waiting for a worker to appear. 4 meals that took quite a long time to come out and were incredibly disappointing. The Mac and cheese was awfully bland, sauce watery, and cheese chewy with a hair baked into it. The lobster was over cooked and underseasoned. The burger was dry and didnt have a single sauce on it. And the butter chicken was stringy, watery, and tasteless with dry, old rice. Sent back some of the food and disappointingly ate the rest since we were hungry. I could make better meals at home for a fraction of the cost.

It almost took an hour to get our food and when it came out all of our dishes were cold. The steaks were over cooked and my sandwich was bland with no seasoning. The only positive about this place was the wait staff and the environment. If I went back itd only be to get a beer.

We were three couples there for lunch. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. I was particularly impressed that, in this time of high inflation, the prices were reasonable, without compromising on the quality of the food. We will be back.

Ordered the steak and lobster, the mussels and the calamari. The lobster was bland and rubbery, the steak was decent but for 31 dollars Id expect more than a couple of mouthfuls of vegetables and some seasoning with butter for the potatoes. The mussels good my wife and I couldnt even try to eat the calamari.

Went down to visit my daughter and grandson. She picked this place to eat. It was absolutely amazing ! Great menu choices. It s a smaller place but busy and amazing. I had Vindaloo chicken and Naan. 10/10. I believe it was the owner came to the table with a small fruit plate for my 1-1/2 year old grandson and then later brought him pancakes without asking or charging it on the bill. So thoughtful and such a surprise !! I recommend this place and will be back for sure.

Unfortunately our experience was not the best, we waited a very long time for food, it took 25 minutes to pour beer for us, although we were sitting not far from the bar. Some of the food was brought to us incorrectly, although we said it was an allergy.

Calamari..couldnt eat it, fish smell too strong for me, my main course of beef n mash was okay but my 3 guests were not very pleased with their meals.

Always a great place to enjoy a fantastic meal. We have taken family and friends to Nookies. Never disappointed. Butter chicken, Greek salad, coconut shrimp, Louisana cajun burger, spicy chicken soup are all tried and true meals.

We visited during long weekend. The menu items are quite flexible with a long list of items to choose from. Very good value for the food and with considerable cleanliness throughout the restaurant. The only complaint is service can be slow due to staff member availability.

We ordered the chicken club sandwich. There was no discernible chicken and 2 slivers of bacon. The bread was soggy. We did not have good experience.

We both got the soup and salad and ordered Greek salads as it was part of the choices offered for this dish (french onion soup is extra which makes sense). Service was slow, and it took a very long time to come out of the kitchen. Surprised to be charged $3.00 extra PER PLATE, even though it was listed as an option so $19 each for a subpar soup and salad. There were only remnants of feta in the salad, not whole chunks. We could also smell the bathroom from the table we were sitting at close to the back. Wont be coming back.

not far from the main street and food prices are decent and of course taste good too. they also have daily specials and very good deals. nice place to go. Parking: $1/hr street parking, and you better prepare some quarters coins

The waitress so very nice. No Diet Coke or Ginger Ale available. Settled for Water and Coffee. Waited 30 mins for our food. We ordered the Tuna Salad wrap Lunch Special and a BLT with Salad. The waitress checked on the food 3 times and reported back as to the status. When it arrived, my wife discarded 3/4 of the wrap to expose the canned tuna and lettuce within. The BLT was untoasted tasteless Texas bread, a tomato sliver with Bacon. Never had Bacon that was crispy with 0 taste before. Not sure what that really was? Feel sorry for the waitress as she will have to cope with the failings from the Kitchen Staff. We wont be back.

Was passing by and found this gem for some breakfast at 2pm (available only untill 3pm). The restaurant wasnt too busy on a Monday afternoon. The service was quick and the food was yum.

This is my second time here. The service and staff are wonderful, but the food is another story. Had their steak and lobster special and the lobster was hard rubber, asked for a medium steak, it came well done. My husbands dish was terrible and he barely touched it. We ended up wasting the food. Wont be back.

Very satisfied with our visit! We were looking for a lunch restaurant on the road and came across this place. Really attentive, friendly and very smiling staff! We were tourists in the area and we felt really welcome! Great choice of menu to satisfy the whole family and we ate well! In addition, parking is easily accessible. I recommend !!

Not a thing to complain about. My friend had a burger and I had the Turkey Club sandwich. We also had one large red wine and a soft drink. The food was very good. The menu is huge lots to choose from. The best part was the service! So pleasant, and helpful.

App calamari was cooked perfectly and the mussels in white wine were delish. We both had the seafood linguini that was served piping hot, fresh and very filling size portion. Our 1st time there and wont be the last! Clean restaurant and pleasant staff. A+

Best jerk chicken fettuccine!! Lobster cooked to perfection with the right level of spice! Amazing customer service and family-friendly atmosphere.

I m not too sure why someone would recommend the jerk chicken pasta it was just scotch bonnet pepper sauce no creaminess to it at all. Not enjoyable. After we called over the waitress, since she did not check on us at all, we told her that we weren t enjoying the meal and it was too spicy to eat. She just said yeah here s some sour cream was not taken it off the bill even though there was 3 bites taken out of it Will not be coming back.

Good food

Ordered the Cobb salad and the cheese on it (pepper jack) was moldy. The server took 20% off the bill, when really it should have been removed entirely. She also never even checked back to see if I wanted a replacement.

What a friendly place. Service is warm and welcoming and food is delicious! Generous portions and full of flavour! Lots of options for vegetarians, and amazing meat dishes. Highly recommend this cozy place! We will be back! Food

Now Im giving them 3 stars only because Portion size was very small I got steak 26.00 off uber. Now the food is Absolutely delicious best steak I ever had. And Potatoes had a lot of butter vegetables where cook prefect. So for taste of food 10 stars but portions for 26.00 is very small.

The food and service was very good. Ive only been once, and they were already out of prime rib and all steaks reatively early in the evening. Thats exactly what I wanted. Next time, I hope.

Great food. Initial impressions on walking in made us wonder. Excellent food. Had the spinach dip to start. My wife had the Stuffed Yorkshire. A very large portion. I had the Thai Coconut Chicken Curry. Very tasty. Staff and service was attentive and kind.

Such a great atmosphere to dine in , food was excellent & the service there was amazing I had a very pleasant experience with my server Nimrat , she was very friendly and took great care of us , she made sure we were well taken care of . I highly recommend this restaurant and the staff.

Booked days in advance for a party of 20. Restaurant called twice to confirm numbers. Wait staff was good. Drinks were delivered quickly. Food was good, when it eventually arrived, There was a 45 minute gap between the delivery of the first and last meal. Spoke to manager and got a blank look and no reason for delay. Arrived at 5:30 p.m., closer to 8 p.m. before we we fed and got our bills. Probably good for two to four people; it seems they are unable to handle larger groups.

My sons took me here for Mothers Day. I and my oldest son enjoyed our food. The staff was excellent. My youngest wings. When we git home, he started feeling Ill and spent the night in and out of the bathroom. Im not saying it was food poisoning, but he definitely felt quite sick after eating here.

Do not go here if you are disabled and require accessibility requirements. We went as a group and the waitress argued with one of our party that she was not disabled and would not accommodate her, insisting we go upstairs. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and I would recommend the owner do the legally required accessibility training with all staff. Will never support this business again.

If you have a physical disability or mobility issues, this is not the restaurant for you. The step to enter the building is very high, once inside - for our reservations for 5, I was brought to stairs. I asked if there was an elevator as I was struggling due to my permanent physical disability , The female staff told me I was not disabled and to just go upstairs. I began to explain why it was unsafe for me to go upstairs today, showing her leg and foot that do not work, my brace, i was dizzy, new progressive glasses today and she huffs and leaves. I should have left then but I was meeting friends,didnt want to let them down and stubbornly and very unsafe got myself upstairs, where no staff were and still had to no idea where our reserved table was. Another female staff came up, asked her where our table was, she was very rude and also told me there is a new manager and the manager has no idea what they are doing. No idea why she provided this information as my issue was with the lack of accessibility and being told I was an abled body person. We did not stay to eat - the two staff members left a very bad impression. I had to sit on my bum and go down the stairs one by one to leave, I was very unsteady. If you have a physical disability or issues with your mobility in anyway - Do not go to this restaurant. You will be treated horribly. You will be told you do not have anything physically wrong with you. Stay safe and eat at a restaurant that welcomes everybody and doesnt insult you. Ableism is the discrimination of and social prejudice against people with disabilities based on the belief that typical abilities are superior. At its heart, ableism is rooted in the assumption that disabled people require fixing and defines people by their disability.

If you are disabled and require accessibility do not go here. I was with a group of five of us that had a reservation. There was an extremely rude staff member that told my disabled friend she was not disabled, and made her go upstairs, which was very difficult for her and all because she thought she didn t look disabled. All five of us walked out. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and I will never support this establishment again.

Husband and I stopped in for lunch. The staff were pleasant and food arrived quick and was served hot. I ordered off the lunch special menu and husband had toasted western sandwich with homemade fries. Food was yummy and was good value for the money! Food

First time at nookie s soul kitchen | bar and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with my elderly father-in-law, Charles. I have dietary restrictions, and the owner was more than willing to accommodate. The server, Cassandra was very pleasant and helpful. I ordered the veggie portobello spinach benedict that also came with fresh, thick orange slices and strawberries. Flavours were spot on. They were cremini mushrooms I believe, and not portabello, but absolutely delicious nonetheless. They even peeled the skins off my father-in-laws home potatoes since he can t chew the skins. Fantastic pricing you can t beat without compromising the quality and taste. Even our coffee was good with refills plentiful. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast. Thank you Cassandra and nookie s in general for such a wonderful first time experience. Sometimes the smaller towns truly do have the best to offer. Vegetarian options: I inquired if they had vegan options because they are not indicated on the menu, but they DO. They have gluten free bread which is also vegan and they have falafel and hummus they can substitute for a protein, along with mushrooms and plenty of veggie options. Went here for a girls dinner with some friends. Would not go back again service was awful. We waited for what felt like forever for our bills, server didn t ask if we wanted our one or separate and just put it all on one at first. Service was not good, not coming over to check on use or anything. Meanwhile they had no other tables. Also this place is not family friendly I came with a baby and the worker said I could use the bathroom upstairs to change my baby. However got up the all the way upstairs with baby to find no change table.They had no change table downstairs either so I had to change the baby right at the table. The restaurant was also freezing cold the whole time it felt like someone left the Air Conditioner on. Will not return to this restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Not at all kid friendly no change tables in the bathroom.

Such an amazing restaurant, the food is phenomenal! The service is first class! The establishment is always clean and tidy! I go there every chance I get. It is definitely a staple in Port Hope. Swing by and see for yourself! They have a party space and a rooftop patio in the Summer! Did I mention it is also great value and large portions. Cheers!! Parking: Behind the building, also street front Kid-friendliness: My kids love it here, the burgers are a big hit for them.

We went out for a nice dinner with friends and were very disappointed. Antojitos came out cold, cheese was not even melted. Lipstick stain on new drink. Hair was found in second order of Antojitos. Fish undercooked, drinks weren t right, and no compensation for bad service. Will not be going again. Worst meal I ve had in years. Would have given a zero if I could.

Wonderful experience today. Went for lunch with friends and my 1yo. The food was great, and the owner even randomly brought out a plate of cut berries for my baby. It was so thoughtful and generous. Highly recommend!!

BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD. The food here was amazing. My bf got jerk pasta and said it was the best pasta he s ever had and when he tried my burger he said it was the best burger he s ever had. for both of us it was $50. You have to try the prime burger amazing.

We picked this spot before a concert as part of the Hibernate festival. We had a fantastic meal with Victoria as our server, who was also fantastic! The menu has so many options including specials that we had a hard time deciding! Excellent portion sizes for appetizers and mains! The steak/lobster tail special is an excellent value. Lava cake was devine! We plan to return to sample more menu items. Vegetarian options: Good variety in the menu and specials for vegetarian options

Sunday Prime rib special and they had no prime rib. Ordered bruchetta for my app and server had no idea what I was talking about. I had to show her where it was on the menu. My wife and I walked out and went to a different restaurant.

We have been to Nookie s through all of its changes. We enjoyed everything up until this last year. Tonight was the second time the meal, pasta was basically cold. Sent it back, still the same. Frustrating. Fiinished the beer, one that was wrong at the beginning and sent back, and took our food home to warm it up. Not going back. Too bad because it is a nice spot with a good menu.

Do not get the prime rib burger they should take it off the menu. I have a few wonderful meals at this establishment, the staff are wonderful and courteous.

By far some of the best service in town! I got the this and that combo and it was phenomenal. The spring rolls were perfect, as were the coconut shrimp both being some of the best Ive ever had. I had Vladimir as my server and he made the experience so much better. The Thai chicken was also perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. Overall one of my new favorites in town and a great experience!

Service and food was great! Hollaindase sauce could use a little bit more flavour and steak was a little thin and maybe a little overcooked for medium rare. The home fries had great flavour, but lacked a little bit of crispiness for my liking. Enjoyed my food and time at the restaurant!

Reservation for 7pm. Drink order wasnt taken until 7:40 and food wasnt brought until 8:30. When it did come my nachos were nothing but the broken piece from the bottom of the bag. Would have needed a spoon to eat them they were so small. Never had such a terrible dining experience like this in my life.

Nookies ALWAYS gets take out orders wrong. They never listen to the requests (eg. No garnish, extra sauce on the side). I placed an order for pick up on Saturday; it said it would be ready for 4:21. I time myself perfectly, get dinner elsewhere for my kids, come pick up my husband / I s dinner for 4:21. I wait 3 minutes at the bar, no problem. The waitress comes and says they are preparing it now . Ten minutes goes by, no update. Still waiting for my food. 5 more minutes goes by, I ask the waitress if she knows how much longer it will be, as my kids dinner is getting cold in the car. She huffs I don t know, I m the only one working. And walks away. I stood at the bar for 27 minutes PAST the time my pick up order originally said. If you forgot to put the food on, tell the customer. It s as simple as that so I could have gone home, or chosen to go back to my car and wait. I emailed the company and never got a oh we re sorry. Not a response back. Shame on you Nookies. Where is your customer service? There is none.

Went for Thai food - it was ok. Service was good but they forgot our appetizers.

Found this spot on google while driving and stopped on our way back home - first visit and VERY impressed. Food was fresh, hot, beautifully presented and delicious. We had Chicken Marsala and a special (Sunday) of Pan-seared whole tilapia with a couple seared shrimp, fresh mango salsa, a colourful and a flavourful rice pilaf. This was an exceptional meal that rivals many of the higher-end restaurants in big cities. We will definitely come back often - and tell everyone we know. Chill atmosphere and friendly staff. Try it - you wont be disappointed. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns and pasta available.

I would like to say a Big Thank You to the sever we had a Retirement Party For a Staff from Beyond The Blue Box of 36 people on Wednesday 28th of June the sever was great for her first party she did a Excellent job and the food was great I did not get her name but the manager needs to know she was Fantastic Thank you Brenda Chamberlain

Food is ok for the area, but don t expect gourmet dinner. Ordered medium steak and it came well done. The salmon was ok and the seafood pasta was good. The wife like the quinoa salad which came with the salmon. Overall this is a nice place to visit in Port Hope, but I ll try other places before coming here again. Staff are very friendly and the front patio only allows for two groups of 4 people.

Very disappointed. I ordered delivery as my dad has ms and i have a little boy. They did not pack one of my meals. Paid $61 for them to tell me I had to come to the restaurant to get the missing meal. I suggest you double check your bag before your driver leaves. Very upset.

Great meal. Fed 4 adults, and split 3 kids meals over 4 kids, everyone was stuffed and it cost a little over $100. Will go again!

I absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere was wonderful. The people were friendly and insightful, the food was fabulous and the menu has something for everyones taste.

I have been to Nookies a few times and on those occasions they get 5/5. This makes my visit last night more disappointing. I wish I had taken a picture to post of the sweet potato fries mom and I tried to share last evening but I did think that this paper thin, over cooked to mainly burnt item would be taken off our bill or a 50% off that item would be offered. We didnt want to try another batch, anyone seeing it served would know they shouldnt of even been brought to the table. We tried a couple each but no amount of the dip could make them appetizing, so why try a 2nd round? No I did not tip this time as this was the first time seeing this waitress and she acted defensive by my turning down of the 2nd serving suggestion. You shouldnt have to make a scene and demand a manager, I cant do that. Since going out is a greatly debated money matter, I will not be suggesting this place again for a outing with mom.

Our server was an extremely polite young lad who ensured we enjoyed our dinner. On top of the great service was 3 amazing meals.

Lemon pepper wings not lemony enough to be classified as lemon pepper wings, over all place was pretty good but change the wing rub name to lemonish pepper, and French onion was lukewarm almost cold.

Absolutely delicious breakfast! Staff and guests alike were warm and welcoming. We ordered the southwest and lobster omlette; home fries was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Food delivery was satisfactory, good portion size, absolutely delicious and was still warm. Love this local gem!

When you visit Port Hope you must visit Nookies. Im a vegetarian and they make a delicious veggie burger with all the fixings. The staff are exceptionally nice and make you feel right at home. Cant wait to come back !!

We took our brother in law here for his 60th Birthday Brunch and he loved it!! He said his steak and eggs were perfect! My sister in law said her lobster omelette was devine! The temperature of food received was perfect, the tastes amazing and the staff were fantastic!! You definitely have to check this place out!!

Ordered two meals for takeout at 430pm to be picked up for 6 and they both were cold. Probably made early and sat there for over an hour (my receipt confirms 6pm was the pickup time). The Cajun chicken burger had been sitting so long it was dried out and nearly inedible. It didnt help that I only requested it be made without tomatoes and they made it without any toppings at all

Service was good. Ordered the steak and lobster special, I have never had a tougher lobster in my life. Couldn t even put a knife through it. Don t understand how the chef let it be served.

Weve been here a couple times using the upper room for special occasions and are increasingly disappointed. The food is getting worse, last time both my wife and myself had pasta that was missing the meat. This past Saturday there was no improvement, although they remembered the meat in my wifes pasta this time it was tasteless and my sandwich was dry. I used to recommend this place but now I cant.

Ordered food (3 meals) from here one night and got there just after the pick up time. The waitress told me the kitchen was behind so it would only be a bit longer. The food proceeded to take over an hour, with 3+ people coming in to pick up orders that were placed after mine, as well as tables getting all their meals that were sat after I got there. When I asked for a refund because I was done waiting over 1.5 hours, the waitress said it s coming right out but that she would take my info and send it to the manager + owner because we deserved some kind of compensation because the kitchen sucks tonight . I was never contacted. My mistake for not simply taking a refund.

Did not enjoy our experience at Nookies, and will not be returning. Long wait time for food, and business was not busy. 3 tables, and one person at the bar. When food was ready, my wife ordered the Quinoa salad, which does not have any mention of Onions or Peppers in that salad. Sauteed onions and peppers were a upsetting surprise to her. Fortunately no allergy to the ingredients, but when we raise our concern to the waiter, she was told that the onions were in the ingredients on the menu. We double checked - they werent. Now we speak to the manager, Mo I believe. Tells us that it was the servers job to mention that onions and peppers are in the dish, and his only reconciliation is to change the menu later other salads had onions on the menu, and the reason? Theyre fresh ingredients. The sauteed ingredients arent listed on the menu because they are added for flavour, according to the manager. If my wife was allergic to these ingredients, theyd be getting a law suit from us. Instead I didnt push for a comp, and paid the damn bill. Asked the server how tips work - debit tips are to the kitchen, and cash tips go to the server. We tipped our server in cash. Friends from Port Hope reacted with disappointment when we told them we ate at Nookies. According to these locals, Nookies is a place to drink - not to eat. Wish we could have known that ahead of time.

Decent enough place but our waitress Kaitlyn was a delight. She alone gets 2 extra stars. Out of half the beers on tap.

Service was fantastic, the food came fast, the fries were fabulous. I have some very minor suggestions with the food. Had the butternut squash ravioli & the grown up grilled cheese. I think the grilled cheese would benefit from more warm flavours or thinner apple slices. I also found the ravioli was slightly too acidic, though not enough to throw off the meal. It was very good all in all. Vegetarian options: There is a good amount of variety, especially given its in a small town.

We usually get skip the dishes and get take out which we have always enjoyed until tonight. Yorskire pudding had random macaroni noodles in it and had a smell. Was told the person eating it could taste the yeastiness in the yorkshire pudding bread. Very very disappointed. Some cross contamination issues should be addressed.

Such a greasy spot. Had a bug in our food the other day & had to fight just to get our money back for the food we didn t even eat. Also, when a friend of mine left a review here the other day regarding other problems with this business - the owner had it deleted and threatened to sue for defamation purposes . Truthfully I would love to see that happen to get a good laugh but honestly this establishment is an absolute joke and is extremely unprofessional. Owner needs a reality check, great servers tho !!!!

Great food and amazing service.

Very disappointed with the service. Food was great but service was not. Booked a Christmas party for a business of 20 people, paid a deposit for the room and was given a call a couple days before saying they over booked and if we would be willing to move areas to allow the other party our spot. We really enjoyed our experience last year so we wanted to keep the same location and area...was told they would figure it out! Arrived at the restaurant and asked multiple times if they could turn on the tvs for some music. Both servers said no one knows how to use the tvs and were not willing to help!! We were rushed through apps, dinner was brought out which took a very lengthy amount of time ( some of my party had finished eating before all the meals were brought out), and we were basically told that the party of 45 people downstairs needed our glasses etc. Pushed out of the restaurant by 8:30pm. Overall not a good experience!

Went here for lunch, ordered the item I wanted using its menu name, the server had punched in the wrong item, Im not a Karen so I just ate it instead of having them change it as my date already had her food. They didnt charge for the beverages. Gee thanks. Id likely go back, as the food was decent enough and the prices reasonable. So, update, I did go back and had the Lobster lovers linguini that I originally wanted, and it was DELICIOUS. The service was much better this time around as well. Ive upgraded my rating as a result of the improved dining experience.

Unbelievable. How do places like this stay in business?? Nookies? SHAME ON YOU, staff and management. Do you actually do staff training? Is any of your food, not Cisco, Costco or Independent frozen foods aisle? Truly the age of mediocrity, but this falls below that. The WORST SERVICE IN PORT HOPE. DO NOT GO. Shame on Nookies for even being in our lovely town. Bad representation. First we phoned for take out and the restaurant staff that took the call hung up on us because its so loud in there they couldnt hear us. HELLO!! if you dont have a place where people can hear to receive take out orders, THEN WHY HAVE A TAKE OUT OPTION? Or maybe you could say, Im sorry, I cant hear so I will have to end the call. Please let management know that the take out system here is ridiculous and the website info is inadequate. But no. She just hung up. Classic. OK, so why didnt we order online you may ask. WE TRIED! We placed our order online and it said that the order came with two sides. There were no sides listed on the online menu and they could not be ordered online with the order, so..... we called. What a mistake as clearly the people answering the phone are either phone impaired or they have not received the benefit of being trained to be polite. But what the heck. Who needs customers anyway. The person who answered couldnt GRASP that there were no sides listed on their online menu. SO THEY JUST HUNG UP! Very impressive. YES, in spite of this, my brave husband drove to the physical location to place the freaking order. He was there for over an hour but had paid for the order up front, so couldnt actually just walk out. Hes a better person than me. Finally an hour and half later, he arrived home and not only is the order WRONG, (as in they missed half of my husbands meal) IT IS GARBAGE! So probably better that it was only half of what he ordered. McCains frozen fries are better than Nookies and the award winning ribs?? Costco. Come on people. Really? Get it together Nookies. You fail in every department. Tourist and local alert. Skip it. Go to our tried and true.

High time that this restaurant should change the cook, ordered for tandoori chicken but got fried chicken (poor guy, he may not know the difference) and a kind of burned one... ordered for steak, but got fried chicken filled in sauce (may be cook knows only to fry the chicken, nothing else) and the oil used is a pre-used or expired one ( this is actually a criminal offence). chef special sauce is written on menu, but got Mayonnaise .. serving ladies were very sweet, only good thing about this place. If food business is opened only to make money, this will be the output, there should be passion involved in it to give the best to the customer.

Another day another restaurant. This time it was Nookies Soul Kitchen & Bar. I went for dinner with my friends. The menu seems organized and caters different flavours. We ordered Hot pot, Pad Thai noodles and chicken tikka masala curry. All the dishes were amazing. Special thanks to Ms. Victoria for taking care of us. She has an amazing energy and vibe and has great customer skills.

Went here for the company holiday party and had a blast upstairs. The service was great and apps were good as well. Would certainly go back with a big group again. Really enjoyed ourselves up there.

Was looking for a good spot to eat while in the area of Port Hope, came across Nooki Soul Kitchen! Loved the food , and service was lovely. Pastas were delicious, and prices were affordable.

We are local and go here often and whenever our family comes to visit. I always get the Asian Hot Pot and have not been disappointed yet. There is outdoor, indoor, and rooftop seating. I recommend all of them, you dont feel like youre tucked away and forgotten. I believe there is also a level that can be reserved for large parties.

Coming back from a week at the cottage and decided to explore Port Hope. Poking around and found Nookie s . Had a wonderful steak & lobster dinner special (great prices). Hubby enjoyed a almost perfect Caesar. Thanks Janice for your warm welcome and service!

Had an amazing dinner here! Highly recommend the chicken korma, burgers, and the Asiago chicken pasta. The service was perfect and all recommendations were delicious. There is something on the menu for everyone. Can t wait to try some more of the menu!

The servers there are phenomenal and the staff work well together. The food is just chefs kiss.

I was raised in a restaurant business and I am quite particular! THIS - IS - THE - BEST - FOOD we have ever experienced ! And Experienced is the correct work. The presentation, The flavours, The quantity, The price , The Atmosphere, The friendliness - We all agreed that It has been a long time that we have been in a place where the determination to serve with pride and genuine friendliness has been so apparent. HUGE KUDOS to the waitresses, Janice and Debra and to the Master himself, Mo. We sincerely thank you for the experience and for starting off our holiday with excellence. We will be telling everyone to take the time to visit !

A venue that has changed hands many times over the last few years, Nookies has been there a while and actually lasted Why? great friendly staff, good food and a friendly atmosphere. Nookies has done well in tbe competitive environment of Port Hope. The food is varied and tbere is something for all tastes. Vegetarian options: My wife is vegetarian and eats well at Nookies Parking: Lots of parking close to Nookies

Okay, this place has to be one of my favourite spots in Port Hope Ontario City. To start with I loved the menu, they have a lot of variety. Cute little patio outside, chill vibe on the inside What we Ordered:- Creamy Jerk Chicken Fettucine:- Jerk Chicken topped with tomatoes, green onions and peppers in a creamy jerk sauce. THAT SAUCE WAS TOO GOOD. This Or That Combo Platter:- comes with spring rolls, coconut shrimp, Bruschetta, Thai Chilli Chicken & Sweet chilli sauce. Thai Coconut Curry Chicken:- veggies simmered in Thai coconut curry sauce served with Rice. All of this food was so delicious, literally bursting with flavours. A very pretty restaurant to dine in and chill. I am visiting them again to try their other specialties like butter chicken, Greek salads and ravioli for sure

I had the nachos and they were really good. It looked like a small portion but it was actually pretty big. I will definitely be back to try more food.

This was absolutely the worst. 4 people dining, we ordered steak and lobster. Lobster was inedible. Medium rare steaks all came out well done. Potatoes were fridge cold. Disgusting. I would never recommend this restaurant. When we complained to the server she had call the owner who decides remotely our dinner was fine and we should pay full price. One diner sent their entire meal back while others having travelled from out of town ate the over cooked steaks and left everything else. Very poor customer service and not the servers fault at all. The owner does not care one bit about his customers experience. They ended up taking the one dinner off the bill and refunding 5 dollars for the other two because all lobster tails were returned to the kitchen. Consider yourself warned.

High quality food

Unfortunately, they were not prepared to handle a reserved 26 people. Some of the food looked good however my meal was listed as a 10oz Filet Mignon, I ordered medium rare and I got a well done piece of meat and not even close to being 10ozs Some of my sides didnt come. Orders were mixed up and so was the billing. I asked 6 time to have the tvs turned on but that never happened, 3 times we asked for music to warm the atmosphere which was played so low, why did they even bother. On a brighter note we had Super Server Gladimer that worked his butt off having to look after everyone himself other than having help bringing out the food and we were on the 2nd floor.

food tasted great! (some spices can LITERALLY choke the elderly or children, be mindful) service and food were really good, didnt get to take better photos of all dishes though. and for what we paid, waaaay better than the sushi place in town (which currently has a higher rating than nookies) we got the garlic-something mussels, got the steak -which needs better plating, imho. but it was good! cant say the same for the lobster, girlfriend didnt like it.. i forgot what her issue was. same thing with the pasta, it could use a better presentation.. mussels thing, looked okay and tasted great. probably awesome with 2 more slices of bread for the sauce. i forgot which pasta we tried, but thats the one you have to watch out for for small, spikey spices! pasta could be a little softer.. 5 out of 5, cause Im not a karen.

Was a great Bar, good food fun atmosphere. Had a great night there celebrating a friends inlaws retirement. Booked the upstairs for the event.

Ticks all the right boxes. Would visit again, without question.
