We make beer. Great beer, if we do say so ourselves. We approach brewing with an understanding that good things in life are usually simple. The secret ingredient is passion. So we take classic recipes and build on the experience by adding our passion to the process, before, during and after. You see, being brave doesn’t mean you have to be a baby-saving hero who flings their body in front of danger with no regard for their own safety. Sure, those people may receive medals for extreme acts of courage, but bravery comes in all shapes and sizes. As we see it, being vulnerable is the bravest act to commit. You don’t hide behind armour. You face life head on, confident of your power within. And you understand that in life you only get what you
Stopped by this place on our way home from the lights at Lafarge. Beers were very tasty. Hubby and I both had a flight and as we were a bit hungry. Ordered a pizza. Pizza was nothing to write home about. But. We most definitely would come back for the beers. Young lady helping us was quite lovely.
I always dislike having to write a bad review but I was disappointed tonight and hope management is open to listening and improving. Unfortunately my list includes overpriced wine (thought I was at the airport for a second), poor service (even though I tipped the server never checked to see how my pizza was), the most skimpily adorned pizza I've ever seen with some pieces literally having none of some of the advertised toppings (although the flavour was good), and a dirty bathroom that doesn't look like it's been cleaned since the last time I was there (note the baseboards). Thankfully the musicians were entertaining so that was good. It looks like there is an effort being made to make the place fun and inviting but it needs some tweaks, in my opinion. EDIT: In response to the manager's reply I want to say that "advertise" regarding the pizza was a poor word choice so my bad. What I meant was the toppings in the menu description. I don't recall seeing the word Neopolitan on either the table or wall menu or the website. From reading other reviews about the pizza, I think adding Neapolitan would be helpful to manage customer's expectations. And suggesting I go to Fresh Slice for a loaded pizza felt like a dig. Or maybe that's a poor word choice also. The comment made me feel that the manager's attitude is, If you don't like our pizza, go somewhere else. Trust me, I will. One less Brave customer.
Really nice and roomy place with a lot of good beer options. Didn’t try any food but had their Cider which was really nice and refreshing. A lot of seating and a good vibe. Service was great, nice kind people.. Definitely coming here again to try more food and drink…
Nice addition to Brewer's Row. Fabulous patio with a view. Great selection of beers, pouring more than you see on the website - Bass Brew Apricot Plum Sour was a nice twist to the usual. Non-alcoholic beverages, plus snacks and pizzas. Bonus vinyl onsite! Definitely worth stopping by.
Apparently tomato bread with an errant mushroom qualifies as a margherita pizza. The only cider option was sold out. Do not recommend
Enjoyed the atmosphere at brave brewing and they have some tasty beer options as well as one cider option. Seating is available both inside and outside on the patio. You can see the big tanks where your beverages are well. Food options are mostly pizza and small bites (tater tots). There are also non-alcoholic options. This brewery also hosts a bunch of different events throughout the week and is very lgbtq+ friendly.
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Brave Brewing, and I must say, their covered patio is a game-changer, especially on busy weekends when it's bustling inside. Opting for outdoor seating by the fire pit added an extra layer of charm to our experience, although do note, the heat from the fire does not spread much so you really need to sit close by to feel the warmth. We indulged in their signature brews, the Stiff Upper Lip and Guts and Glory, both of which were delightful. However, the star of the show, the margarita pizza, unfortunately fell short of expectations. It lacked the crispness we hoped for, and the sparse basil leaf placement provided a comedic touch. Despite this hiccup, Brave Brewing exudes a cozy ambiance, making it an ideal spot for couples seeking a laid-back atmosphere. Overall, it's a decent establishment, with the potential to shine even brighter.
Brave Brewing Co in Port Moody is an absolute gem! Their craft beer selection is top-notch, and the inclusion of kombucha is a refreshing touch. It's become my go-to spot for winding down on a Friday afternoon. The service consistently impresses, and there's always something intriguing on tap or in the works. If you're seeking a vibrant atmosphere with quality beverages, look no further.
Nice little spot! Beer is tasty and staff are friendly. Love the booth seating.
What an awesome find! Great location and the best thin crust pizza around a new favourite spot!
Currently on a live brewery tour, just landed from Germany: Stop 3 - brave Best beer so far!!! Love the stringlights! Best atmosphere to catch up with your friends
Loved the Stiff Upper Lip Pom sour! Great beer selection, branding and great group running this gem brewery! Best in Port Moody!
Top notch beer! Love it
Need to bring back Bakery. They were so much better with the different options of beer. There s nothing Brave about the types of beer they put out. It s basically just an overflow brewery for the rest of them along brewers row. As you can see in their reply, it s all about economics for them. Put out mediocre beer, so they can stay afloat, so bold and brave of them
Great beer and the vegan pizza was seriously amazing!! Neapolitan style, flavourful with good vegan cheese!
Beer is great. Pizza very thin and very thin on ingredients. Consider moma said pizza instead. Chicken wings were good.
West coast brewery tour continues .today we headed to Port Moody and a stop at this nice little patio for a few cold ones.
We loved the cider, beer and music. Thanks guys!
Best brewery on Brewery Row, worth the walk. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The patio is dog friendly and has a good view of the inlet. If you enjoy sours, they always have at least two well crafted sours. A must go to.
Came here on a Sunday, thought the patio was a quality set up, and had some nice umbrellas for some shade. The beer was really good and fairly priced ($8 for 20oz). I was super impressed with the beer offerings and it all tasted great. If I was just ranking it on the setting and the beer it would be 5/5. However, the service was unpleasant and the pizza was well below average for the price. I think it was overcooked as the crust/dough was hard like a rock. I would come back for the beer but that s it!
Nice place to sit and have a few drinks. The pizza we ordered was badly undercooked; it was soggy/raw in the middle and some of cheese wasnt melted.
Yah. Its OK. I think this place exists as an overflow for the better breweries along the row. But if $11 pints of okay beer is your thing then you might dig it.
Pizza and beer were dang good but what was exceptional was the service. Super thoughtful server light the fire-ring for us, brought our dog water without us asking, and seemed to know when we were going to use the door because he was always timing it so he opened it for us.
good beers, good atmosphere, good service..OH and they had coat hooks (why is that not a standard??) playing all-night-long taylor swift was also a bonus but i can appreciate thats not for everyone servers were great tonight (boxing day) and looking forward to some food trucks at this end to add some excitement:)
I have been here a couple times now and it s pretty good. Beer is decent with excellent guest taps. Main concern here is the music. It can be so loud that it s hard to have a conversation. Everyone has to yell at each other. Cool fireplace outside.
The beer you can drink in January is very limited. Only two craft beers were provided. I didnt know when things would return to normal. Maybe it should be February...
Love this place! The atmosphere is fun, the drinks are great and the Pizza hit the spot! Also love that we could bring our little guy, played some cards and the staff were amazing! We will definitely be back :)
Really lovely space. Great warm dog friendly patio for those cold days.
I love Brave! The atmosphere is great, super chill and the staff are so friendly and helpful. They have the craft style beer my husband loves and a lighter lager style that I prefer. Plus I can bring my dogs. I m on my way there now!
Very impressed with the latest addition to Brewers Row!! Very attentive and engaging staff who are happy to share the story of this updated brewery. The brewer has chosen his start up beers in a thoughtful way and I was blown away by the quality. IPA and hazy IPA were stand outs and Im excited about the future brews. Their marketing is excellent and Im looking forward t the Open Mic nights. Ill be back tomorrow!!
Great atmosphere and service. Love their new addition beer for IWD #MahsaAmini
Love the story, beers and team at Brave. They re doing a ton of live music and the new food truck, Frankie, is insanely good and unique on Brewers Row. Highly recommend!
Really great beer selection, the only covered patio in the shoulder seasons to have a beer on Brewers Row. Im a fan!
Friendly staff. Thanks everyone
The drinks are worth it. Do not get the food. The pizza is a little bit of sauce on a pita bread. It was too much money for pretty much frozen microwaved pizza. The vibe is great tho
Great selection of beers!!
The beer selection is nowhere near what used to be offered up by the Bakery. And yes, it s probably unfair to compare the two but I need to get that out of my system because I m still grouchy about it. Okay so the rest: music is way too loud (I m in my mid-thirties so I don t classify myself as that old?!), the beer offerings while not all that particularly unique are decent. Flights are insanely expensive compared to a 20 oz pour (so decide what you like, quickly). Patio expansion adds to the summer vibe. Art on the walls is a nice touch. The food (Frankie s) sounds incredible but haven t tried it yet. Overall, I still miss the Bakery and would go to Twin Sails and Moody Ales first over this .but it s not Parkside, so there is that.
Tried this new brewery for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Good beer and good pizza too. Tried call 8 beers and a mushroom pizza.
Amazing sour beer here
The patio is beautiful. Beers are limited, but good. Staff is friendly. I dont know what else people want.
Friendly staff. Welcoming to dogs.
Absolutely loved their beers! They are fresh, aromatic and very well balanced! Tried their First date - a hazy IPA and the Bold and Beautiful- Hefeweizen and they were just perfect! Would highly recommend this brewery and will be visiting again!
We took flights to try different types of beer. The general opinion is that I liked the dark Bold and Beatiful and the light Manha Dry the most. Although Hefeweizen is also not without charm, it is quite fermented. Grace Lager - too watery for my taste. And they cant take beer home either. PS. Thanks for your generous offer. I wanted to buy a draft beer to take home. Unfortunately, the saller answered me that they do not pour it. If this is not so, I will gladly buy from you what I liked.
This place has chill vibes and nice people. Met Chris few blocks down the street and he told our group about this place to check out. He was super friendly and gave us 50% off coupons. There is a lot of seating inside and outside.
My husband Chris enjoyed Braves hazy IPA and I drank the hefeweizen. Frankies food truck was in the drive, and Steve Marriott was taking requests on guitar. This is good at Braves: beer food music atmosphere service Great area to go to for a brewing company crawl followed by music in the park on a summer Sunday and ice cream from one of the many local vendors. Enjoy!
Love this place. It s our go to when we are in town. Awesome beer and great vibe.
Brave is a great place to hang with friends. I love the staff...so helpful and courteous. And of course, the beer is good too :)
Brave has the best beer and such nice poeples
Great place, great food, great beer. 3 for 3!
Lovely people, lovely beer! Come for the great beers and snacks, stay for the awesome atmosphere. My favourite brewery on the row.
My favorite IPA! Brave is my go to summer brew, cant recommend it enough!. Beautiful brewery too
Brave Brewery is a rising star in the brewing scene, and its not hard to see why. Their IPA is a masterpiece. The craftsmanship and pride that go into each batch are evident with every sip. What sets Brave Brewery apart is their unwavering commitment to supporting first responders. This unique focus provides a sense of togetherness among the patrons and also allow you to connect with like-minded individuals who appreciate good beer and the importance of giving back!
Fantastic beer, great staff and the food truck is incredible
Good beer, good people, good atmosphere
Their mission is so refreshing, just like the beer!
Staff is saucy in a good way. Food truck unparalleled. Owner is a DJ and spins great tunes. Oh yah, they have great beer.
Great atmosphere, good beer and good prices. Usually have some bomb Indian food truck stationed there too. Great chill vibe.
Loved the beer, the location and layout. Great venue.
Went out of my comfort zone and ventured to the Port Moody Brewery Row, we ended up at Brave Brewing Company. I can honestly tell you we were treated by the friendliest staff and management. Beer was awesome highly recommend Grace Under Pressure, so be Brave and venture from your comfort zone!
Delicious beers and friendly staff! Ill be back
Amazing beer and great staff! Highly recommend.
Warm, friendly atmosphere with great beer and ciders!
Friendly staff, nice selection of beer and a nice food truck
I am an huge sour beer fan so when I stumbled upon Brave Brewery at the Farmers Market I had to try it. They make an amazing pomegranate grapefruit sour. I will be sure to make a stop into the actual brewery soon!
Amazing place. Awesome selection! The last time I was there with my friend, the two ladies (blonde & brunette) working there that night treated us very well. They were very professional, knowledgeable and kind people. The rest of our night was even better!
Great vibes, friendly people. Chill place to hang out with a group of friends. Will go back and highly recommend!
Beers are fine, but the styles are anything but brave or interesting.
This Brewery sucks , Bad owners , Bad Managers , don t waste your time will be out of business soon enough , this place is a joke
Great staff, tasty beers. Love the DIPA
Great brewery, great experience
Amazing location, great staff, fantastic atmosphere.
This place is awesome. Live (really good) music, good pizza, great beer, family friendly and they even have a huge patio with a fire pit! I saw they have a food truck outside too which looks really yummy. Can t wait to come back!
Awesome beer and better people.
I havent visited Brewers Row for quite some time and was lured here by my buddy excited with the grand opening. Well, I wish we went somewhere else. I mean its alright, like something your friend, who takes beer brewing seriously and enters semi-professional level, would brew at home. Definitely didnt live up to the expectations.
Really good atmosphere better beer, overall better experience!! Only thing is music feels like I m at a dive bar
I was pretty sad to see the bakery brewery close as I am a fan of unusual barrel aged beers. So when I came to brave brewing, I was a little pessimistic. That was until I encountered the staff and owners. Not only were they welcoming, they were clearly focussed on making a positive impact on the community, as well as encouraging us to be brave during challenging times. Hence the name. I grabbed a flight of all their offerings and was pleasantly surprised with the range of beers, considering they ve only just recently started brewing. I d say they are off to a good start and would recommend including them on your next tour of brewery row.
Friday night. Good beer but not so much of a selection (yet?). Music was blasting through the speakers while trying to have a normal conversation - will come back though.
