2821 Murray St, Port Moody, BC V3H 1X3, Canada
Twin Sales has the best vibe - low key and understated, its beer matches that of others on the row but without the fuss.
Super Festbier! Smaller venue, offers snacks in-house, pizza truck outside on my day.
My girlfriend and I loved our experience at Twin Sails. Their prices are super reasonable for the product and they have a super relaxed and fun atmosphere. We tried a flight and loved their new Volcano King Double Pineapple IPA. Would recommend. Cheers! Ps. Nice merch too
Twin Sails has an impressive line-up of delicious beers: IPAs, sours, stouts, lagers, ales, etc. I think they have a delish beer for everyone's taste. The Port Moody location is hip and the staff were friendly. The only slight complaint was that the tunes were overly loud and (in mid January) the brewery was super chilly. I guess the windows were open for good circulation during Covid....
Twin Sails Brewing was on my radar long before I got a chance to visit the brewery itself. They are quite well established in pubs and liquor stores across the Lower Mainland. Although availability varies, most of the time, you can find brews on tap that are on the stronger side when it comes to flavor and alcohol content, which is absolutely fine with me. Space Armadillo DIPA and Juice+Cintra IPA are my all-time favorites. Their taproom is of a decent size, but not too big, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Also, there is always some sort of a food truck right in front of the brewery, so food is not a problem.
Just a great place for a variety of fab beers. Staff were engaging and having visited dozens of breweries in the GVA, this was among the absolute best. Hipster vibe, music not overly loud and great beers. Lagers, Sours, IPAs and beautiful stouts. Will visit again soon! Great pizza truck out front.
This have been my fav brewery for 5+ years. Their beer never disappoints. I bring every friend and visitor here. Love it.
Best beer in the area. But arguably the worst of the local tasting rooms. Staff also seem to believe they are doing you a favour by allowing you to order beer here -- goes with the pretentious hipster vibe, I suppose. But, again, beer here is the best of Port Moody (and among the best in all of YVR).
Good hefeweizen
Great radler and vibes!
Excellent coconut stout!
Wonderful little spot close to the water. They have a nice large patio and the drinks are so reasonably priced. Would visit again.
Low life lime lager is one of the best
No would crush on tap. Very sad to travel a long way and not to have a core beer on tap. Ruined the whole trip. No information on the website either.
Not a place to have fun. We had a party of 10 for a birthday party and we were told to keep the noise down. We were not very loud at all. Had two drinks there and they stopped serving us. Bar tender was just not bothered with us. Put the moody in Port Moody.
Honestly appalled with the service and how they treated us. We arrived for a going away party and they stopped serving us. We had two drinks and were told we were too loud and they had received complaints. Anyone we met inside were complimentary of us so we were shocked when they stopped serving us. Do not go if you want to have fun, they are the fun police. THEY PUT THE MOODY IN PORT MOODY.
Came here for a going away party, stopped serving us after 2 drinks and said we were too loud . Don t come here if you want to have fun. Puts the moody in Port Moody
Came in for a going away party and after two drinks was refused for being too loud the guy behind the bar put the moody in port moody.
Rude and stopped serving us after two drinks. Said we cleared out the bar when there was only one free table left in place. Really put the moody in port moody!!!
Apparently a male wearing a dress is not suitable attire for this establishment. We were not welcomed and eventually refused service and had to leave. This from a place that advertises as everyone welcome. Certainly took the wind out of my sails.
Aww.
Twin sails will always be my favourite brewery... Just something about it. Dat Juice and Would Crush.... Then in winter, Con Leche.... My three favourite beers. The atmosphere is nice and close and i feel at home there. Thank you Twin Sails!!
Natasha and Traci were absolute rockstars at the bar. They were so sweet and personable and gave us an amazing experience. We will definitely be back here again, simply just to visit these two gems. Your staff is the best and have exceeded my expectations!
I liked the vibes
Good variety
Large tasting room, good atmosphere. No issues bringing the family here with kids. Food truck outside.
Beer is so taste and excellent staff.
Have always loved the beer and was glad to finally be able to visit the brewery. Vibe is very cool, full range of beers and ciders available, friendly staff as well.
This place is the best. The hospitality of the employees is so amazing. Dat juice is my favourite by far!
Imperial Stout was great.
Great beer. My go to spot someday I will go to another brewery. Someday. For now, this is my spot.
One of the best brewerys around when it comes to Stouts hands down would highly recommend, good environment great beer
Another great brewery, part of brewery row. $10 flights and good atmosphere.
Worst experience ever. Had a pack of their horchata beer explode after coming out of my fridge 20 mins prior and it TOTALLY destroyed the whole kitchen. 1 exploded and then the other 3 were about to explode, hissing making weird noises, tops bulging out, so I had to quickly throw them outside. Top on the other that blew up was entirely blown off, plastic top also across the room. I was in another room when it happened and heard a HUGE boom, I come in and see the room absolutely dripping top to bottom in beer. Entire kitchen / ceiling / walls / appliances / furniture / 3 sets of blinds / my new white chairs / white lamp shades completely covered in dark beer. Emailed company and they aren t responding. I ve been cleaning for days on end. The beer also soaked the inside of all my cupboards from dripping so heavily off the ceiling and I can t get the stains out. I know a few in the beer industry who say this isn t normal and is because of poor brewing process..also the fact they don t email me back either says a lot . Awful mess all around
Great beers. Always have food trucks available.
I had the opportunity to visit Twin Sails and it was a great experience, the atmosphere and attention is incredible. Dat Juice is incredibly refreshing and especially on hot days.
Very good beers! I couldnt decide, so I went for a flight. Picked three beers, and had the staff pick a fourth beer. She was on point with her recommendation. Staff was very friendly, and they have lots of space to sit, including an outdoor patio. They dont serve food.
Superb!
Great raspberry wheat beer. Service was friendly and they had live music. Dog friendly patio
The beer selection was good for stouts. Day juice was my favourite. The cider wasn t sweet enough for me. Two food trucks in front.
What a refreshing venue, great location. Nice staff and the beers are top notch. Very drinkable, fruity, fresh and something for everyone. Even if you are new to craft beer there is something to like here!
In terms of quality beers, this is easily the best spot along brewers row!
Cant get wrong with Twin sails
Just a fantastic brewery place! Awesome staff and selection!
Well, let me tell you bout Twin Sails Brewing, my friend. This place is like a little oasis for us brew enthusiasts. Now, I might be gettin on in years, but when I step into Twin Sails, its like a whole new world opens up. Their beers, mate, theyre something else a symphony of flavors that dance on your tongue. I wont beat around the bush, Ive had my fair share of tipples, but Twin Sails has this charm that makes you forget all the worries. The folks there, theyre top-notch friendly, warm, and always up for a yarn. Its like they understand, you know? And lets not forget, the place itself is cozy as can be, like a haven where you can kick back and just be. if youre lookin for a spot that serves up quality brews with a side of good vibes, Twin Sails Brewing is the ticket. Age might be catching up with me, but I cant resist the allure of that fine drop theyve got.
Grabbed a flight from here and all 4 beers I tried were fairly good. Its definitely worth the stop if you enjoy fruity type beers.
A waiter threw us out because we opened twin sails tall cans in the venue.. i d avoid this place if I were you, go to yellow dog instead
Very strong range of beers - best beers on Brewers Row. Stouts are a great choice this winter!
Very good barley wine and delish milk stout!
Love this brewery and its selection of beers
Delicious! Must visit! Enough said!
Super dope place! I hope they have trivia night
A stellar brewery.
Just the best brewery around!
Super fun place, plenty to choose from for your stout drinkers, your IPA drinkers, and your cider/radler drinkers.
I expected more beers on tap. Were from Alberta and came to Port Moody specially for Twin Sails. Overall taproom vibe was lacking compared to the neighbors.
Ive never attended the place but chugged some pints of their draft from a bar in Nelson(Would Crush and the other I believe it was called Island time ?) It was magical . The best craft beer Ive ever tasted in my whole life. I loved it so much I ordered it through the local Sobeys liquor store to have delivered to me in Berta!
Great flight and cheap prices! Must try in summer as you can sit on the patio and enjoy the drinks
Great spot! Would love to see a couple more snack options! Paloma was so great too!
Better over the years. Not too many options.
Yummy raspberry beer, very refreshing on a hot day!
Food selection of beer, very courtesy staff and lots of space to sit
I like there beer but I went to buy some at 9:50pm on my way home from work and the staff said they couldnt do anymore sales since they shut the till down already even though the website says they close at 10pm. I get it, they want to leave early but its really frustrating as a customer.
Friendly staff with nice patio seating!
Been coming here for years. Beers are always great. Vibes never fail to impress. If you re business is bumping Kanye and Kendrick on a Saturday night its a win for me. Highly recommend.
Great place with great beers
Great interior and staff are freindly as Good beers on tap too
Neat spot ... Beers were tasty and of good variety, nice non pretentious space
Great place! I enjoyed my time here, and I added some new favorite drinks to my list.
Great service and great beers. Best brewery on brewers row!
Berry blast! Best Berry based beer I ve had in this life. Room for dessert Berry sour!
Great beers and atmosphere. Staff are very accommodating for dine in during covid. Solid beers - got a flight of four but I drank it too quickly before posting a photo. The berry sour is a nice balance of flavours for a sour beer. The con leche stout is solid - creamy, full stout.
Love the beer!!
Great beer, nice venue, horrendously slow service. Been here three times and its the same every time. Better off just getting a growler fill or a 4-pack and go to Rocky Point park.
Great beer, service was a letdown during our visit. Arrived to ask for a table of 4, said it d be a 10-15 minute wait. No problem even if it s a bit longer than that. Asked if they needed my name to put on a list, it s fine and we ll come grab you . Fast forward almost an hour later when a table finally clears up. Another group who arrived (long) after me got seated first, due to my name not being on the wait list and there s being present. When I asked about it, they said the other group had arrived prior to me and had just walked away, which was incorrect but because of my name not being on their list, it s how it looked to them. I d like to give this place a lower rating but they have great beer. Proper front of house coordination is needed to prevent another frustrating and confusing situation like this from happening again. I don t plan on going to sit in here again, if I want anything from them I ll get it from a liquor store and save the hassle.
Very friendly staff with some great options! The space armadillo was AWESOME! Also the pineapple margarita was perfect for non beer drinkers. Highly recommend the space, staff and drinks Thanks for having us!
Worst beer ever. PTSD inducing.
Great little hang, really good beer!
Great brewery, specially if you are keen for stouts. Always some good food truck parked outside on the weekends. Friendly staff.
Slow service beers ok
Got 2 kegs and they were really great about the situation. Also when I brought them back there was a slight issue with the refund but they took care of it really well and got the problem sovled as quickly as possible. Ive always liked their beer but the service Ive gotten recently has topped it off Corey was great help from beginning to end, thanks team
The beer and selection here is some of the best around. Their focus is on brewing beer not the tasting room or food menu. The place is fine, but nothing to write home about. Some of the beer is really quite amazing though.
Decent spot
Not the best place to go. I hanged out with my friends last Friday and we were waiting on the line for about 45 minutes, in that time ANY of the employees asked to our names or said the potential wait time they just ignored us the whole wait time. Once was the time to sit us, the server was way too rude (didn t welcome, ask for number and ignored the table we wanted besides his annoyed face) there are literally better breweries to go than this one.
Had a yummy hazy ipa. Not too hoppy (which is they way I like it!). They have service on the patio so no need to go inside for your next glass. Thanks for the refreshing fresh air cold one!
Never disappointed
Went to buy a 6 pack of beer. Told the waiter I was mask exempt. He told me to come in, and check out the beer. But a 6 pack of lil gulp. It was delicious. Thank you for not discriminating against me. I will be back for more.
One of the top 3 breweries in the Province! Consistently great beer at Twin Sails.
Awesome Dat Juice. Just wow.
Ignore all other breweries on this strip. Just go to Twin Sails. Yellow Dog is pretty good too, but Twin Sails is still my Port Moody pick.
5 stars. Brews are so much better in person. Wait wasnt long at all.
Decent amount of shade and food trucks usually parked up nearby.
Nice spot and fruity beer if u like that type of thing.
Great beer, they are still a little bit freaked about covid but overall the service was awesome! They welcome pets and care about them!
Spent the early afternoon with parents here today .... Drinks were superb!
Loved the atmosphere here! Dat juice was amazing. Staff were helpful.
Decent beer. Like the Hef. Service is snarky.
Lots of fun listening to some live music and enjoying a bunch of new brews in a hazy flight. Got a little of everything, hop, coffee gin and kelp!? Who doesnt want a little kelp? Helpful staff and comfy venue. Crazy area for parking tho. Pray to the parking gods well in advance
Good variety of beer.
One of my favourite breweries in the area. Raspberry wheat ale is my favourite!
I come for the plants they manage to keep alive. The beer is fine.
Specializes in hoppy beers and does them well. Often double or even triple IPAs on tap. Most of their tap list is usually of that style, and if you like it theyre a must visit. Their beer menu is always changing. They had a couple lagers available today but thats not their specialty. Nice enough patio out front (full of friendly dogs), bit of a wait to get on but not too bad. Food is standard brewery fare but theres usually a food truck. Edit: times have changed. Lots of sours now, and their lager is now pretty good.
One of my fravourite breweries around! They have a good selection and good prices. Their Barley Wine, wich was on tap around New years was DELICIOUS. Although the place is a bit small and crowded, I really enjoyed the vibe and seeing that all the clients were having a good time. The service was efficient and friendly and their fridge (cans and bottles) also has a great selection! The horchata milk stout is definetly one of my favourites!
You can drink delicious beer! You can also see the beer being made up close. It was the best place! A bit cold but a fun place! !
Best beer on the row hands down. Great spot and great staff.
Ain t my fault that I m out here gettin loose, Gotta blame it on Dat Juice Blame it on Dat Juice, yeah. Ain t my fault that I m out here catching tail. I m just hanging at Twin Sails, Hanging at Twin Sails, yeah.
Nice brewery offering several of their staples in terms of the more common beer styles, but there is always something more adventurous available, like several Brett beers.
No fancy decoration, straight to the point with both classic and great unconventional beers
best on the strip
Twin Sails is great! Great, unique beers. I have been a regular for 2 years.
Good beer. However, very weak customer service. Went to the brewery as they are doing curb side pickup but the service was terrible. Wasted 25 mins of driving there. Why stay open if you can t deliver good service?
Great beers - two straws milkshake IPAs are the best! always look forward to their releases
West coast beer tour continues after a looonnnggg hiatus. Father s Day after COVID and the patio is open. Spending time with the Mrs.....great join right on the strip along with food trucks out front. Perfect!
Great beer and customer service from their servers Brandon and Dylan!
Excellent beers --- juice plus and apricot sour were amazing. Nice space and friendly staff.
Went for an outing here a few days ago on my birthday with my girlfriend and a couple buddies to start our brewery hopping excursion. After the staff member inspected everyones ID, he noticed it was my birthday (and my girlfriends birthday the previous day) and took care of both of our first flights of beer! Not only does this joint have delicious craft beer, but wonderful service to boot. Dont sleep on this brewery!
Great traditional beer! Very yummy. Less crowded over other breweries on the row. Nice outdoor patio!
Beer is delicious; however, rarely find available staff. I would place the blame on poor management. Please staff accordingly!!!
Always friendly staff and a great environment. Music adds a cool vibe that doesnt overpower your ability to talk to your party. Beer is fantastic.
55 minutes we waited when they said it was going to be 10 mins max. We came back and they said they forgot about us and they are sorry and we will be next .. well it has been about 50 minutes now and I am still waiting for that phone call ... Wont be going back thanks for wasting my time :D
Couldnt get into most of their ales but really was fond of the citrus pale ale. May look for that in the future but otherwise not my thing.
Even during covid it was great bit of a wait but worth it.
Good beers, dog friendly patio, and a great spot to spend the afternoon!
Major attitude from the girl working in the front window when I approached to see if they were open (they weren t). Google Maps said it was open at the time. She needs to learn how to show respect.
Really nice place. The selection was good, the beer was tasty, and lots of food trucks around for a variety of food
Got a place in the shade to sample delicious sour fruity beers. Service was friendly and happy. Plus the puppy made a friend
Not only is the beer good but they allow your 4 legged friends on the patio to make it an even better experience. Defintiely one of the main decision factors when I decide where to go. Hate leaving fido at home!
Good place, good beer, good vibes. The door guy was also our server, in between tending the door and serving, he would read on a stool, I thought that was neat. Keep it up, folks.
Such good diversity, is there no beer these guys can t nail?? Every one is a winner here and the owners/brewers are actually twins.
The short: - tried and liked multiple beers, mainly ipas - visited the brewery twice since 2019 and would love to go back again due to their beer, service, and dog allowance (in patio) The long: - good covid measures: physically distanced seating, staff wore masks, contact tracing, QR code menu - my fav beers are: juice plus citra ipa, volcano prince milkshake ipa, good clean fun west coast ipa, high socks mosaic ipa, vapor wave tart ipa with sea salt - offer flights of beer - friendly service, but was a little slow possibly due to covid and limited resources/staff - close to other great breweries (example: parkside, yellow dog) - food trucks nearby - limited dedicated parking but more parking in the park on the other side of the street - dog poop bag station - have clean, good-sized restrooms
Nice place good beer
They have great beer. Open to pick up my order so I stayed for a flight. Super friendly staff, overall a great experience.
Amazing beer as usual! Good covid protocols and service was timely and friendly
Very friendly, knowledgeable staff who let us have a taste of various beers until we chose a 4-pack to buy. Loved the raspberry wheat ale and the pineapple ale! Will be going back in the future and will be buying their beers at liquor stores :)
Super good beer
My favourite craft brewery of all time. The beer here is nothing short of delicious.
One of my favourite breweries
A friend of mine is co-owner of this place and I thought Id give it a go recently. Wow was I blown away by the ingenuity of those brewers. In the Vancouver market its hard to stand out and boy do TS beers stand out. Tasting room is unique, with a great atmosphere too
Whenever I am in the lower mainland I make a point of stopping here. Always delicious brews on tap.
Great place for great beers. Cheers
Super good hazy IPAs that will provide the juiciness you seek. Delightful pastries at the bar to hold you over til dinner. Small tasting room but welcoming staff. Get cans to go.
I miss the days of the Old German Style beer, they used to have a great Hefe that got me hooked on the Brewery. Dont get me wrong, its a great brewery, with thumping vibes, but just miss the old days!
Disappointed with the beer. Vaporwave Tart IPA was undrinkablely sweet and unbalanced. Everything seemed under-fermented, like it had a high finishing gravity. It seems their IPAs are very low IBU which will skew balance towards sweetness. People who like sweet beers, like a glass of juice, might like this.
Quality brews
Hands down one of my favourite breweries in BC. Every single brew we tasted here was at least a 4/5. In fact, after our taster flight we proceeded to get full pints of our favourites. Im pretty sure its on my top 5 breweries in BC. Thats high praise with Brassneck, Phillips, Lighthouse and Whistle Buoy. If you can only visit one of the breweries in Port Moody, make it this one. DO NOT SKIP THIS ONE. My wife and I absolutely love it here, even though were nowhere close to PoMo.
This place has quality brews - not just one or two but all of them. You cant go wrong with their combinations and collaborations with other breweries.
