Great food staff is friendly

If not for it being our first time...I may have given 5 . Ice cream was great but a little pricy...I would not buy the kid size again. The pastries were great too. You know... while writing this review... Im increasing to 5 . They earned it. Service with a smile and you could not feel more welcome. Finally, the hot beverages were good. Not blow your mind good but definitely on the higher side of good. Yup 5 ! Well go with that. Two pastries, two grande Bevs and a kids cup of icecream...tip of $1.50 all for $27.39. Cheers!

Good dole whip in a millennial neighborhood

Even better with the second opening! My favorite is the vanilla/dole whip combo. So grateful it s egg free for my egg-intolerant kiddo. Also the addition of some of your scooped ice cream means that EVERYONE in our large groups that visit are happy. Tasty cream puffs are a welcome addition. Would love to see the salads back for meal options, really like the quinoa one. Thank you for the wonderful service team that went above and beyond for sliced sandwich meat for my allergy kiddo s(aged 3) lunch on a rainy afternoon!

An oasis on your journey within and around the Rocky Point park district. Delicious and wholesome cafe food with both sweet & savory options in equal measure. Amazing coffee. Sublime soft serve ice cream. Awesome vibes from both the staff and fellow customers. So glad to see The Canteen back for the summer

Canteen has reopened for the summer featuring some new menu items - Aussie pies are fantastic, tried the veg and the aussie (beef) and both were fantastic !! Great friendly staff with good advice on my choices !!

Outstanding service!! My daughter has severe allergies and Tea went out of her way to make sure our food was safe. She was awesome!! The food was delicious and the passing dogs entertaining. Highly recommend

Fantastic little coffee place. The awesome workers need blinds though. They seem blinded trying to look customers in the eye on sunny days.

The food, drinks and pastries are delicious! Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich. The staff are all amazing! Everyone is genuinely kind and friendly. Love the location. Note: this is a cafe/bakery they do not have ice cream - only soft serve (so good!).

I ordered the avocado sandwich and brushchetta sandwich. The sandwiches were really delicious. Do NOT BUY the amaretti cookie. It was hard as rock and OVERCOOKED. The worst part, though, was that the baristas were rude and had extremely poor work ethic. I ordered the sandwiches and took them to my table. A few minutes later, I asked if I could please have some tap water in a glass. The barista, who I asked, literally looked at her coworker and gave me a side-eye as if I was asking for too much. I even said Oh you dont have to worry about bringing it to my table. Ill just wait for it. And they still made me feel like I was asking for too much. What are they expecting to get paid for? All they did was reheat a sandwich for me, dear lord. Just standing around, talking and expecting to be paid and tip on top of that?? Is that what they get paid for?? Wheres the work ethic? Wheres the customer service?? Who is hiring these people? Who is training them?

I cant possibly give you a 5 star u til the Doll Whip makes a return...but 4.75

Fantastic pineapple soft serve and slushies! Good prices. Seating is limited with a small patio, but eating in the park nearby is just fine. New favorite concession spot. Parking: Parking lot in nearby park or street parking out front

Very cozy little cafe with good coffee and delicious pastries. Price is very affordable. I have the breakfast galette and cappuccino, cheese bun. If you dine in, the nice staff will heat it up for you. Very tasty and delicious. The coffee is delicious and big, the store is comfortable, the staff will reheat the buns, the taste is good, and the price is really affordable at this time.

The canteen & creamery is honestly such a great place to stop by when you cave something sweet! They have a wide variety of cookies, brownies and other wonderful snacks. And if youre craving an actual meal they also have lots of delicious sandwiches to chose from. Me and my friends constantly stop by to have their screamers that always highlight my day. I totally recomend the canteen & creamery for the great plant like cafe environment and food!

Great pineapple soft serve, monstrous portions! -0.5 as I wish it was a bit firmer. Even on a cold day, it started melting immediately, and also leaned precariously with every lick...

I love coffee. I love ice cream. However, it s overpriced for average coffee drinks and you aren t even paying for the good vibes and atmosphere because it isn t there.

I like their variety of healthy salads, fresh pastries and drinks. Close to the waterfront too. Good service.

The brigadeiro was not good at all, dry, the taste it was very bad. However the brownie was very moist and the taste was pretty decent. It s pricy, I don t think I will go back this to have the brownie.

Not enough soft serve in their screamer, in my opinion, but still refreshing and good. Next time, I d just have the pineapple dole whip in a cone instead though. Most of their sandwiches were out when I went so I didn t get to try them. I did tried a couple baked goods though and they were not edible, sadly, I had to throw them away. Service was nothing to write about, but overall it was still an enjoyable experience!

Nice and cozy cafe, very friendly and patient staff. I tried soft serve ice cream and breakfast galette with meat. The galette was really good. And my toddler enjoyed the ice cream. Definitely will come here again to try other pastries and coffee. One drawback: they only serve 2 flavors for ice cream

I found this place off google maps and I was a little bit confused as I pulled up to the building but i went in the lady working the front was so lovely and sweet. Their chocolate croissant was so darn good. Best one I ve had in a whiiillllleee. Glad I stumbled across this place. Sandwich and pesto pasta were great too.

My son is obsessed with their gluten free cheese buns and their baking is so delicious with a great variety. Their soft serve ice cream is our favourite on a hot day. The staff is always friendly and attentive. We are so happy they are open earlier and more frequently as their hours were not consistent before Summer so it is great to see them open more often. Definitely visit it if you have the chance!

Nice and cozy coffee shop! Iced lattes were delicious, and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had the blueberry lemon muffin and it was really good! They also have sandwiches and salads that can be perfect item for your picnic.They have a small patio so you can also enjoy your treats outside. We will definitely come back to try more treats!

Thank u for not price gouging! Bought an ice cream and cappuccino for $10 -> which included tax and tip. Very reasonable + delicious. Soft serve is well portioned and cappuccino is fricken awesome.

Their soft-serve ice cream tasted like McDonalds or Costco s ice cream. It s not my favorite. The coffee was just ok. Service needed to be improved. There was no parking stall so I had to park far away.

I wanted ice cream and they seemingly only had soft serve, which is confusing for a place with creamery in the title. I got the basic soft serve and made my stomach hurt.

Shame on me for not asking, but it wasnt clear if there were milk alternatives here. They have gold forks! Got a Lamington. Dont know if its supposed to be heavy moist cake, but it wasnt dense or moist. Twas fluffy, needed to sip tea with it. Also can you park right in front where the ice-cream truck is? Parking: Free street parking is competitive.

Let s talk about the building first, that mural wow! The wait wasn t long and was accompanied by a adorable woof woof waiting for his owner. You walk in and cannot miss the huge grin by the young man. Then you look around and see the seating area and then look up and that wallpaper. As I approached the counter I couldn t decide and wanted to take the whole chabang!!! Wow! I opted for a panini and a green juice which was worth every penny! That paper wrapped sandwich was to die for!! Want to treat your honey to a sweet pic mix? This is the spot!! Yah I ate the whole sandwich !!!

Went to this new caffe/ canteen. Really interesting concept. They have croissant and pain au chocolat from Chez Christophe in burnaby but be ready to spend 1.4$ more per peices. The sandwiches looks amazing but for 12$ I hope the will be i will check next time. Coffee was great and muffins too they also sell partially cooked bread however they are not giving any step on how to finish cooking them so have fun figuring it later. The store decorations look really good however it is really noisy with the music, the oven and coffee machine in the background it is really hard to understand the cashier talking behind her mask and the protection window in front of you. I will not run to go back their as I found their pricing a little high for the area but I wish them all the best success in their new endeavor

+1 for 49th parallel coffee, and the sandwiches are fresh made and delicious. Love the concept of the charcuterie box with freshly baked baguette. This will be a popular spot this spring and summer. Well done, owner Cuthbert s! Well done

We made a quick stop at the Canteen & Creamery while enjoying the nice weather. We really liked the set up where theres a specific ice cream/slushy window and then a register you go to inside if you want more than that. We thought it was a good idea as most people just wanted ice cream! We ended up getting the vanilla chocolate soft serve, dole whip soft serve, and the carrot cake. Everything was tasty and hit the spot, the cones were really good and worth getting over a cup. We definitely want to come back and try more items next time!

They made the cafe really beautiful and the mural outside is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. I was expecting a twist on their regular ice creams however, floats and ice cream sandwiches etc. Anyone can do soft serve, they have an opportunity to do something more special with their existing product. Just a thought.

Nice new place with soft serve, baked goods and light savoury meals. Great idea to add a sister store to Rocky Point focused on soft serve. Loved seeing they had a Dole Whip option. Will definitely be back to try the sandwiches and screamers. Safe place to visit during COVID. They limited guests inside to 2 parties and then did their best to keep parties apart. Staff were polite and moving quickly. Had a takeout window which meant you didnt need to come back inside to get sandwiches. They also had a outdoor patio although most of their front area was dedicated to parking space which was sort of disappointing to see. Would have preferred a bigger patio as it was already full around 11am.

New Café on the block and it did not disappoint!! This place is cute, beautifully designed and inviting. It gives me a Parisian bakery vibe but theres also something a little beachy about it. I was a little overwhelmed with all the choices and the staff member behind the counter acknowledged this and asked if it was my first time there. I told her it was and she explained everything they had behind the glass. She also let me know that all of their food is made in house daily, including the pastries! I decided on their iced caramello coffee, it was a great cup of coffee. Milk, coffee and caramel drizzle, nothing too complicated about it. I found their roast delicious, not too acidic and the hint of caramel on point. I chose their 3 cheese grilled cheese for lunch. For those who do not like the taste of brie rind, never fear, the brie adds a creamy note to the sandwich but no over powering flavour. However, they also offer straight cheddar for those who love the classic. I have to mention their sourdough, it is classically sour and has pretty good flavour to it! Do not expect the classic doughy and dense texture though, their sourdough is a bit lighter. Lastly, I tried their Danish, it was made kind of like an almond tart but using Danish dough. You could tell the Danish had been baked that morning, the pastry was easy to bite into, no resistance and hardly any flaking, which tells me two things: it was not over baked and it had not been sitting out long. I was also happy to see their inclusive sign on the door on my way out. More businesses need to do this, it lets people know they are safe within those doors.

Got the dole whip, Vanilla Coke screamer, and carrot cake. Carrot cake was the real star, everything else was good. Going to come back to try their lunch items. Friendly welcoming service as well.

First visit! Loved the look of the place. We sat on the patio and tried their sandwiches and a grilled cheese for my daughter. We loved the quality and saw there is a picnic cheese & meat platter to go that we should try! Would definitely be back and love that there is another food option at Rocky Point.

Great ice cream parlor , down the street from the really busy Port Moody breweries would recommend if youre interest in quick service and being saved from super long lines. The chocolate swirl and mango flavors were really good

It s the only place to get a soft serve swirl cone that I know of. Nice location, staff seemed very accommodating, but I haven t tried anything other than the soft serve.

Finally a place in tri-cities that carry speciality coffee. Iced lattes were delicious, friendly service and I love how they had lamignton. I hope indoor dining opens soon because it was way too hot to sit outside during the heat wave.

Just as youd expect from Rocky Point: fantastic. We had iced chai lattes and a couple of their little Brigadeiros (Brazilian condensed milk truffles) that were absolutely wonderful. Would definitely return.

The coffee taste was a bit weak, but I really liked the atmosphere and interior. Its a shame that I wasnt able to eat another cake or sandwich because I was full.
