Sergio's Pizza in Port Moody

Decided to buy from Sergios again after a couple of years tonight, found out the new owners were east Indians and the pizza was terrible

Came in for lunch. Only had 2 slices that wasn t pork related. Decided to go with one cheese and one veggie. Both slices of pizza were extremely old and hard. Not to mention, when asking to get my slices headed up it took the young woman 5 minute to reheat it and serve it to me. Unlikely that I ll be coming back.

Disappointed! They are not the same anymore after change of ownership. Hope they improve on taste and service.

Their pizza was never great but at least you could tell it was good value when it was $7.50 for 2 big slices and a pop. Nowdays that same combo is $9.50 and the food is worse as well as service ...

Prices are up .... Again. Point to a slice of fresh pizza, get old one. Other places are now more worth it.

I experienced one of the worst lasagnas Ive ever had. Dry, flavorless and a hint of cheese, what a disappointment. If this is the standard...pathetic. Ive had the pizza as well, three stars at best. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. Food

2024 update - changed to 5 star - the new owner has 100p improved. There quality is back to what it used to be when the Italians used to own it. Amazing improvement! The owner really cares 2023- 2 star- Can t say for a full pizza. But when I picked up a slice, it was not hot at all. And there was no sauce at all. New owner ship isn t taking the pizza seriously anymore. I ll try again

Not the same as it used to be. It s Friday afternoon, and I feel like a nice slice of pizza on the way home. I walk in, nobody in sight; like a saloon in the westerns. I take a couple of steps forward and see two old Hawaiian slices in the warmer. One, clearly more sad than the other. A lady pops out from the back and asks if I want anything. I gasp, glaring, unable to take my eyes off the two abandoned slices blanketed in an orange hue and ask Is this all you have available by the slice? Yes she tells me. 10 minutes for another pizza . These slices reminded me of the ones you used to get for free just so they could keep fresh stock in the window. On my way to pick up my wife, I don t happen to have the luxury of an additional 10 free minutes for a $3.50 slice of burning hot pizza. So I tell her I ll take one of them please. She proceeds to reaching for the sadder one. Leaving the nicer one behind for the next guest, maybe in hopes of being enticed by its loneliness like it needed a belly to fill. As I ask for the nicer slice she stares at me like a deer in headlights. As if she couldn t see that one was noticeably of better value. She complies. I hand her $5. She gives me $1.05 back. I mention to her that I m missing the proper change. She corrects it and gives me an additional quarter back with the original $1.05. I correct her once more and finally get proper change. By now I ve had a bite and it is one of the most disappointing bites of pizza I ever recall having. Just as I m about to walk out I ask Is this place under new ownership? Yes she tells me. The owner is in the back Thank you I tell her, defeated, and gutted at the idea that what once was one of the best slices in Greater Vancouver will never dance its flavours on my tastebuds or full my belly ever again. It s a sad day.

Rude staff and awful pizza and lasagna. Used to be a great place but has declined.

Sorry but this is a bad review.I dont understand why they use an Italian name. This pizza has nothing common with Italian pizza. The crust was hard and not crispy. The pizza had no taste whatsoever. It must be very difficult for them to get customers considering that Spacca pizza is right next door. Now that is some great pizza! Sergios pizzeria, you need to improve your product.

long time customer last couple of experiences have been disappointing. Waited over an hour for delivery. Trying to support local. Door Dash quoted 35 mins. Obviously, a change in direction. Not even close to the same pizza. Subpar, better off walking to Caesars. Sorry to see the original Managment leave :) Parking: Parking is good Pizza nope!!!!

As others have mentioned, this is under new ownership and have gone downhill. Quality, ingredients, and customer service have all declined and this is no longer the family owned, passionate pizza joint. There are better options!

Sergios was one of the best local pizzerias I had ever experienced. In the last several months, however, the quality of food and inviting staff have started to disappear. Its still good pizza, and far better than FreshSlice or similar competitors, but it really isnt the same as it was previously. I hope they can get back to the level they were once at.

Whats not to love? Central location, friendly staff and cheap prices for honkin slices.

Ordered a chicken pizza, got home and found there s very little meat on top and the colour of the meat doesn t look like chicken to me. How could chicken meat look grey if the pizza was freshly baked? It also tastes like pork to me. I am not religious or have any dietary restrictions but still It also tastes bland. I m not a picky eater but this has to be one of the most disappointing pizzas I ve ever had. You have to do better than this. I don t even know how your business is afloat with food like this.

Youre better off getting pizza from the 7-11 next door that has been sitting in a heater for 8 hours. Incredibly disappointing.

Ordered 2 large pizzas. The BBQ pizza was drowned and drenched in sauce. Couldnt even find the meat on the second pizza and the garlic tasted tinny. I couldnt even eat this food. The customer service is just as bad! I called asking about my missing ingredients and poorly made pizzas and they couldnt even sound bothered about it. Not even an offer for a refund or to remake the pizzas. Skip this place entirely.

Sadly its nowhere near as good as it was under previous ownership. Why buy an existing store just to completely change everything? It kinda defeats the purpose of buying an established business. Hopefully they figure it out soon, I miss Sergios.

Always great service, including very fast delivery. Unfortunately that also means the pizzas are SOGGY and undercooked (twice in a row over the last month, two different topping combinations). We wont be ordering from Sergios again - which is sad, as for a long time we ordered regularly and the pizzas used to be extremely good & good value: generous toppings and properly cooked. Maybe we will try again in 6 months when things have been sorted out.

Good pizza but more then half the time they have no cheese slices ready. A half empty display and nothing in the oven coming up. Seems like an easy problem to fix.

Never disappointed when ordering pizza from Sergios.

Sergios used to be great but its sadly gone downhill since the new owners took over. They leave the by-the-slice pizzas in the warmer for far too long and its often the case that the slices are old and dried out. The quality of the sauce, cheese, and toppings is not what it used to be. Most varieties now just taste excessively salty and the crust is often burnt. The service offered by the staff is poor. The last few times Ive gone in, one of the women on staff is draped over the single available table, either sleeping or staring at her phone. She wont move to allow customers to sit. Ive also had staff lie to me on two separate occasions. There were only a few burnt and old slices available. When I asked if any fresh pizzas would be forthcoming, I was told no only to watch them bring out new pizzas within minutes of me asking. Shame whats happened to this place.

Edit: New owners. Please use less cheese or better cheese. Cut the ingredients finer. Original post: This is by far the best pizza in town. I used to walk here from High School 20 years ago. Just moved back and the pizza is still so fantastic. Nice to see something not lose its quality over time.

UPDATE - July 5, 2023 We finally had occasion to order pizza in for a family gathering so we gave Sergios a try. End result - decent - not fantastic and not bad, especially compared to other offerings in the area. There definitely are better in the area, depending on what you like - Mama Said, Spacca Napoli, Me n Eds - but those are a different style and you pay a lot more for them. For the record, our favourite is San Remo - you really pay for that but worth it, in my opinion. Anyways, I quite liked the Torch pizza - with hot peppers and pepperoni and everyone else thought the others were at least good. So I changed my rating to a three star. We got one large and three medium which came to around $80 and easily fed 6 adults and two kids with lots of leftovers. Oh, and there looked to be more variety in the pizza by the slice offerings too. ________________________________________________________ I cant really speak to what the full pizza order is like now that theyve changed owners as even previously, I always found it to be a bit hit or miss - sometimes good, sometimes just okay. But its always been my go-to for pizza by the slice. It used to be they had a decent variety of pizzas by the slice and it was always good for the price. Last couple of times I went in there was only one pizza in the case and people waiting for fresh pizza to come out. Maybe I just had bad timing, but it did happen the last 2 times I was in. Hopefully everyone else has a better experience - we already have enough mediocre pizza places in the tri-cities.

I ordered baked spaghetti and it was horrible. It was inedible and under cooked. They refused to do anything and argued with me when I said they needed to replace or refund. I even took the food back after getting it delivered to prove it was barely touched since they would not help when I called. I rarely complain or send food back, but it was that bad. I am shocked they offered no resolution and said to give them bad reviews. Please do not give them any consideration. They took back the spaghetti and kept my money. Do not support this business. There are many restaurants in this area - go elsewhere! Don t waste your money and time like I did

Just went in there for 2 slices , I asked the girl how long the pizza was there for she said 15 minutes .. Big .Fat Lie! The ingredients were hard and stale. I could definitely tell it was longer than a hour. But like why lie?? I still bought it and ate it. Lying about it makes you guilty! Ohh now they raised the prices on the bad ingredients of the pizza they are making.. they should lower the prices not raise them

New ownership, prices went up & the quality went down. Cheap cheese and little to no sauce. Individual slices left too long for sale. The end cant be far behind with this level of food service. Not going back.

I Recently ordered pick up, by the time i got home I noticed the pizza was burnt. I called the staff to let them know, but staff was extremely rude and barely spoke english. They refused to give me a refund or a new pizza. Overall this was a terrible experience and i will never order here again.

New owners. Big mistake! Ok, so... Sirgios has been my families pizza place to go to for the last 20 years. They were a cut above the rest. We ALWAYS get double sauce, and they didnt disappoint. NOW? The quality has flopped, BIG TIME. I recently ordered one medium pizza from them with extra sauce... $30 + tip! And just a light dusting of sauce even though I paid for extra. Not only that, when I go in to pay for the pizza they dont even tell me the total. The cashier just stands and stares at me expecting to know how much I owe her. How am I supposed to pay if you dont tell me how much I owe? I hate to say it, but now I need to find a new pizza place. Sorry Sirgios youll be dearly missed.

We love their pizza! This is our go-to for delivery, and well often have it delivered while were at the breweries nearby.

Dont support this place. The alleged owner Tyra was verbally abusive on the phone when I asked why they couldnt take my order at 9:30pm when they close at 10pm. This used to be my favorite pizza spot. Ill never support them again.

I ordered the two veggie pizzas - Athenian and Europeon Veggie. Both tasted okay, but we felt that the pizzas arent well-cooked. I shall try mentioning it in specific , if I were to place an order next time. We didnt like the raw tomatoes on the pizza... Friendly staff and truly simple, awesome wall decor when I stepped into the store for the pickup.

Honestly kinda bad. Not enough sauce. Too much cheese. The blonde girl was pretty rude. The only reason I even gave them 2 stars was because there was a cute boy working there. They disrespected the Italian flag with the pizza they gave me.

I made a mistake by trying another pizza place closer to me and it was sooo bad that I had to order Sergios the next day because I had to make things right and satisfy my pizza craving. I wont name names but the other place is in Newport Village. For the price, the quality of Sergios cant be beaten. Im sorry for cheating on you Sergios, please forgive me. Heres a review to make up for it.

They make really good, un-fancy pizza here. No Neapolitan style, Buffalo mozz, organic, froo-froo stuff. Just lots of cheese, lots of toppings, good crust and always ready for pick up on time. Unfortunately, prioritizing take out & delivery means that the slices in the warmer can be hit or miss. Sometimes theres a lot of fresh pizzas with good variety and sometimes its nearly empty with a few dry slices.

Minutes from closing they still took our order. Quick delivery. Excellent pizzas. It s thick and saucy. They save our party from getting rowdy. Thanks.

I grabbed a couple slices on my way home yesterday. One was pepperoni and the other was something with beef and onion. The outer 2 1-2 inches were hard on the top and bottom. Not sure if they were cooked too long or sat too long. My pizza bar is pretty low but this managed to disappoint me.

New ownership needs to figure it out. Have ordered in the past and was quite good. Ordered lasagna today: has to correct them twice as to what I asked for, asked for coke, brought out diet coke. Had to ask for cutlery as none provided. No napkins. Garlic bread smothered in margarine (?) Not sure as it was 3/4 inch thick on top of pre-toasted bread and not melting. Italian sausage was obviously cheapest grade as tasted more like hotdogs cut up into sauce and to top it off there was about 1/2 cup of oil/grease in bottom of lasagna tray.

The new people running it are terrible. Tried to place an order over the phone was unsuccessful with whoever answered. I went in to the store to try again and when I spoke to the girl at the counter she told me no we are closing it was 8:03 pm.

It seems like new management, and no where near what it used to be. Cheaper ingredients, barely any sauce. Went from my favourite to just meh.

What happened to Sergios??? This used to be my favorite place... but we ordered tonight and its clear everything has changed. The pizza now has zero structural integrity. Atleast half the toppings fell off in the course of trying to eat a slice, and i had to literally hold the cheese/toppings on at some points. The cheese and sauce dont taste as good as they used to. It was edible but I doubt ill be back anytime soon.

This place used to be excellent now it s on the good side of average. Decent pizza, nice sauce, but quality/quantity of toppings seems to have gone down. I feel like they put on a bit too much cheese compared to meat ratio now, and it s cheaper cheese - yet I still had toppings literally falling off the pizza as I ate. But overall still better then any chain pizza, and a good local shop with nice employees. Think they re going through a transition and hope they can figure themselves back out and return to the glory days!

We just moved into town and on a lazy Wednesday night we decided to order two pizzas for pickup from Sergios for dinner. The order was ready in a reasonable amount of time and the pizzas were nice and hot. Brought them home and they were quite good! The toppings were plentiful and fresh. They had the right amount of cheese and the right amount of sauce. Dough was the perfect consistency. The only thing I would improve is the customer service over the phone. Telephone manner was a bit unprofessional and slightly off-putting... but hey its just a pizza place...

Great place!, right beside the H&R block in downtown port moody, Ive eaten here & take out many times, really good pizza lots of toppings. The lasagna was Delicious, Its definitely enough to fill you up, the staff are very friendly, communication is good for the most part, Very Strange lady working at the front with tattoos and dark hair, shes friendly just strange... Good place to go eat for a quick lunch or call for delivery or pickup.

The best pizza in town(or possibly out of town too). The price is reasonable the pizza is way above average. Its disappointing to think of ordering from anywhere else now. Im glad they have later hours now.

This place is excellent for having no sauce on their ham and pineapple pizza, ham that is basically taken right out of the package and not cooked, way too chewy cheese and so much crust. The pizza bends in your hand it is so wet. Do not waste your money on this place. I called to voice my concern and they do not give a hoot, were not prepared to make it right. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!! We have given them many chances and have wasted our time with them. Dont waste your time and money!!

Sergios Pizza is to the Tri-Cities as Gold is to Canadian hockey. I ordered a family special today for the first time in many years and it didnt disappoint. The pizza had an abundance of toppings and cheese. The baked spaghetti was amazing too. Still producing a gold medal performance all these years.

Pre ordered pizza 3 weeks ago for a birthday party and agreed on price and call to confirm the day before of delivery date and employees didn t have a idea where our order was and said couldn t deliver it ....then manger go involved and said WE OUR NOT MAKING NO MONEY ON THIS ORDER YELLING LIKE A MAD MAN!! The pizza was pretty good. I just stopped in for a slice after work. I grew up in Port Moody and these guys have been there forever. The guy at the front was very friendly. One thing I didnt like is they charge you 75 cents for dip. Pizza margins are huge and other local places like papa leos for example who sell individual slices in the tri cities arent that cheap. Ill return with some ranch in my lunch kit

Tried calling to say they made the wrong pizza and no dips. Yes it was through Skip the dishes but all I wanted to know is why/how for 1.5 hour they got the order wrong. When I called the manager did not want to talk to me as they were closing and hung up. If you were a manager you would have more consideration for customers! Wouldnt give you any stars for poor performance of a business

The pizza here is so delicious I make the trek from Metro Vancouver to get my hands on it. I am totally thrilled about the addition of vegan cheese to the menu (I didn t think it was possible for you to get any better)!!!

Great pizza, but no online ordering & delivery is hit and miss. They are on skip the dishes, but seem to shut it down during mealtimes(6-8pm) We generally end up ordering from competitors. They don t have enough staff to manage orders I guess.

This was by far the worst gluten free pizza I have ever had. It tasted like it was a frozen pizza bought from the corner store and just reheated. Avoid.

Cant understand 4-5 star reviews. The taste is pretty ordinary and waiting time is minimum 1 hour up to 1 & 1/2 hour. We still order from them because its still edible compare to other places.

I ordered lasagna, what I got, wasnt lasagna! Their definition of lasagna is to put their pizza ingredients together and call it lasagna. I dont know about their pizza, but I wouldnt go back just cuz my first experience wasnt good to begin with.

A beautiful slice, the dough is fantastic and its 2.50 on the DOT. You can not go wrong for a slice of Sergios when you get the urge for a snack.

Was very difficult ordering a pizza over the phone. Phone operator was incredibly rude. Despite being a block from Yellow Dog brewery they wouldnt deliver. Ended up ordering from Pizza Station which was fantastic.

I was really excited to try out this pizza place when I saw the quality of the pizza on display. They indeed have generous portions with pretty good tomato sauce, cheese and one of the best crusts Ive tasted in greater Vancouver. The reason Im not giving this a raving review or five stars is simply because I found that the service was less than desirable when I called in. The menu had different prices then what the actual price was and when I brought it to their attention they said its really not their problem and theres nothing they can do. I asked him if they could at least hear me out but it sounded like they werent interested, busy with other customers. When I paid for the order I decided not to give a tip because I felt the service was poor. The staff stared at the bill looking disgruntled. When I opened the boxes there was about 20 black olives on the pizza which was great. The artichoke portion was about half an artichoke for the entire pizza which was a disappointment. I feel the value for the cost was not reasonable in the end. I may go back for a slice but I wouldnt go out of my way to pick up their food again like I did today.

Walked in today to a blast of heat it was 24c outside but over 40 inside ! Unreal hot!! The workers seemed like they were experiencing heat exhaustion! This can t be work safe ! Super upsetting to see people working in such conditions.

Gone down hill since new ownership. Young kids in there sarcastic and you feel like you re bothering them. I won t be spending any money there anytime soon.

Great pizza hands down, worth the drive. Dont listen to the negative reviews, I didnt have to wait long, for my pizza. It was nice and hot, and also very flavorful and fresh. I most definitely recommend this place.

Ordered the lasagna with meat sauce. Hardly any meat and I would rate it a 6/10 for flavour. Last time ordered was much better, so it could have been a one-off.

2.50 for a huge slice of pizza

Ordered a large Super Special, for delivery to Twin Sails tonight. Received a fresh, delicious pizza which was loaded with more toppings than Ive seen from any other pizza place. There must have been an entire can of olives on there, tons of pepper and about what everybody else calls triple cheese! Amazing pizza!
