Would not recommend. If you want to see a lot of mice around and you don t care about sanitation, you can go to this restaurant. I m shocked why the manager and staff didn t even care about this traumatizing scene and just laughed at it. What a shame!

Met friends for lunch and a lovely visit. Not very busy but the music was louder than need be. It was difficult to follow conversation. Although I really liked the food experience I would not go back due to the background noise (music loudness) if going with the purpose of a visit.

Always fun great good. The food was so extra good the last few times I have been there. So consistent. The new sticky chicken appetizer with fresh bean sprouts. My steak was grilled to perfect medium rare with roasted mushrooms and cowboy salad is a personal favorite. The staff is friendly and efficient. Reasonable prices with something you dont see often anymore.

Service was great and server was accommodating. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Came for brunch and whereas every other restaurant was busy, browns was not. Got a seat right away. They didnt have a few ingredients on the menu which was a little odd but we made due. They had to swap out potatoes for french fries and didnt have a few drinks that were listed on the menu which was disappointing.

Great atmosphere, the staff are friendly and fast. I recommend the Thai Chicken soup, Caesar salad and garlic bread combo. Very good and a reasonable price.

Unbelievably bad. Browns Socialhouse is a good chain but this location is not up to the standards of the others. Im surprised the manager of this location gets away with such low quality service and food.

Stepped out for a last minute bday dinner with a friend. The worst service I ve ever had, I don t remember the last time I ve never been offered water at my table she didn t end up bringing any. We didn t receive our drinks for a while too. She did coke by once to say there is a wait for the drinks but offering water would ve been better. We asked for a martini received our drinks in oversized shot glasses when we made a comment the server did not apologize she responded with oh there isn t any I said I see one right there , as I pointed to the bar , she says oh that s the bar (where did these come from then ? We were seated in the lounge) as we sat in silence she ended up saying we ll there is only like 5 and proceeded to walk away, sorry for the Inconvenience we have a shortage or warned us as we got martinis, is a couple of examples how it could ve been handled, not make us feel stupid for asking and not knowing they have a shortage. She did come by once to check on food as expected. As this point we didn t ask for water again because we wanted to leave. We did end up telling at the end of the meal that it was bad and she did say I ll get my manager and we said no it s for you to know to handle better and she responded with what s so bad about it . Just terrible birthday dinner experience.

Both my wife and I love this pub. Weve been customers for a while. Sometimes it gets busy and we need to wait to be seated. We went for dinner tonight and while we were waiting to be seated two couriers showed up to I assume pick up their orders. The host, a good looking blond female ignored them for a while. Then she was approached by one of them and she brushed him off, telling him to go outside and wait, that she would let him know when the order was ready. The guy waited outside for like 15 minutes and she completely ignored him. We watched closely from our table since we have a friend whose teenager son does deliveries as well. He eventually came back inside and had to ask someone else. Sure enough the order apparently had been ready for a while... I cant help wondering how customers who order delivery feel when their food arrives 20-30 mins late because a grumpy host has no respect for hard working individuals who are trying to provide a timely service

It s a great location with a nice cozy atmosphere even when it s busy. Friendly team of staff. Had some appetizers and they were prepared nicely. Definitely loved the calamari and prawns right to the last bite. The cocktail menu was okay. Social sodas are kind of boring but not horrible for the happy hour price.

Rather disappointed by a business lunch meeting we had there on Tuesday after the lunch rush. Our server was not attentive, didn t offer refills on the sods and I had to wave her down for a coffee refill. She didn t offer to refill anyone else s drinks. The kitchen brigade were swearing loudly in casual conversation. I work in hospitality as do my colleagues, so we get it. We can let a lot slide if it were super busy at the time or the kitchen is backed up, but we were at one point, the only table inside. Now, the food, when we arrived, we ordered 4 appys for the table, and they came out but the server. Had to be asked for side plates and extra napkins. The yam fries were cold, potato skins were missing items, lettuce wrap was good. We also ordered the calamari which surprised us as it was more than decent. i had the Florida sandwich, my chicken was burnt. It ruined the flavour of everything. I also asked for dressing on side, It came in a soup of dressing. My colleague got a slightly modified dragon bowl, and she got 3 Small pieces of chicken in her bowl. Another colleague got a regular dragon bowl and send it back, as hers was inedible. The server didn t once touch the table or check in on us. We ordered desserts, no coffee or tea was offered to my colleagues or myself, and the carrot cake was quite terrible. Overall, it wasn t a good meal. We were there for nearly 3 hours, and had to wave the sever down to bring us a bill. There were also 2 management types standing by the bar for the last 30 minutes and not once did they come and check on us. We had a lot of dirty plates and had to eat around them.

I really enjoy coming here. I used to go to Browns in Coquitlam, but 2 weeks ago I came with friends and I got special treats from Rose. Came here with my wife for a nice dinner out and we had a great experience. Our server Maggie was wonderful and extremely attentive to us, could not recommend her enough. I had the bacon cheeseburger and my wife had the crunchy salad, both were delicious.

Had lunch with a few friends and had a great experience, quick service My order got mixed up and they immediately corrected it without issue friendly staff and great food.

This was our second attempt at Browns - different location - and we weren t super impressed. The Caesar salad was REALLY small for the hefty price tag. My seared tuna salad was yummy - excellent herb mix - but had several large chunks of super tough greens (kale??) that I couldn t even put my fork through let alone eat (the woody stalk part). My son s butcher burger was really good but the yam fries were so salty he could barely eat them. Our nacho appetizer was fabulous - like some of the best nachos we have ever had but they stuck to the parchment paper leaving us eating bits of it when we were down to the bottom chips. Way too much food stuck to the paper. So. Meh. So many good things here but so many little kinks that made our lunch just meh. And expensive.

Me and My friend went to this location tonight; the food was absolutely amazing, we loved the vibe and the atmosphere and the best part of the experience was the service. Our server, Rose, was super friendly and attentive; she made the whole experience so much better. Would definitely go back :))

Went there for lunch with family. Nice atmosphere. Seating inside or nice patio outside. Vegetarian and kids options. I had quesadilla and small glass of Dirty Laundry rose BC wine. Wine was good - not dry and not very sweet. Cubano sandwich that my partner had was delicious but dip a little spicy. Food was delicious. Pricing $$. Service was excellent by a young man. Wheelchair accessible. Parking nearby or underground. I will continue to return here to enjoy different dishes.

8 of us out for a staff appreciation lunch. We sat outside to enjoy the warm day and not worry about our conversation getting to loud. Water was poured and then a bottle of wine was ordered and then poured. After 20 minutes everyone in our group placed their food orders. Meanwhile a group of 6 and a group 4 arrived and were seated around us on the patio. I think they may have had a different server, but about 20 minutes had passed, we noticed that both groups had been served their food. As we looked around for our server, a young lady approached our table with a take out container and asked which one of us needed it to take our salad home. We told her we had not yet received our food, and she immediately turned and walked away. Soon after our server returned to confirm our food order . By then, we had been seated for an hour. The food came about 10 minutes later, and I believe everyone enjoyed their meals. However, we were offered no explanation as to what happened and no apology. Our server seemed to be having a bad day. He seemed impatient and a bit short in his comments. I dont usually write negative reviews, but there was no ignoring that something went wrong and that it could have been handled much better than it was. ADDENDUM: Management did reach out to discuss this experience, and that was greatly appreciated.

Frozen food heated up at a ridiculous premium. I can t take it anymore. 4 horrible appetizers for $75 I know, I shouldn t order sushi from Browns but literally I had several pieces with nothing in it and no reminisce of the insides falling out in the container. The Hot Wings had almost zero sauce, they were still a natural brown colour. 6 Gyoza pieces for $17 plus taxes subpar, pre-frozen foods for insane prices. I m done LOOK AT THE PICS AND ASK YOURSELF, WOULD YOU BE HAPPY PAYING $75.00 BUCKS FOR THAT!?!?!?

My recent visit to Browns Socialhouse Newport left me incredibly unsatisfied. The glaring issue that overshadowed my entire experience was the stark contrast between the exorbitant prices and the underwhelming quality and quantity of the food. Despite their extensive menu, the execution and taste of the dishes fell disappointingly short. Adding insult to injury, the portion sizes were shockingly inadequate, especially considering the hefty price tag. What particularly irked me was the obligatory tipping option on the payment machine. Although they did provide a no tip choice, there was an undeniable discomfort in choosing it in front of the waitstaff. It felt as if the restaurant was attempting to manipulate or guilt customers into leaving a tip, resulting in an awkward and strained atmosphere during the payment process. Personally, I strongly believe that tipping should be left entirely to the discretion of the customer, and the imposition of such a policy left me with a bitter aftertaste. In summary, Browns Socialhouse Newport had the potential to deliver a fantastic dining experience, but the glaring discrepancy between the price and the actual value, coupled with the uncomfortable tipping situation, left me thoroughly disappointed. Regrettably, I find it hard to recommend this restaurant to others based on my lackluster visit.

I reached out for any type of small donation to support a local charity event. Unfortunately, the manager would not offer anything. Please consider other local restaurants. We need to support our community. We need to support the small businesses that give back to the community.

Crystal was our server and she was the best. We were having a nice girl talk and she was supportive and brought a good energy to the table. 10/10 service and food tonight.

It was last summer 2022 late June,, I had a visitor, sailor from Romania, and we met for the first time ( knew each other from game online for two years),, after very emotional meeting we went for lunch,, I asked what do like to eat? Hes respond was - BURGERS! (I dont eat beef) ,, no problem,,, he mentioned Burger King but I was like No, I wont take you there,, (I hope you know what I mean) ,, and Browns social club came to mind,, after looking at the menu, he ordered the biggest burger on the menu -$20,:no fries,, me, chicken burger -$18 with fries ,, after very nice talk with each other, our food arrived, and I was hit with the brick!! not once but multiple times,, I was so ashamed when I looked at his burger:((((( ,, he was hungry and he asked for another one,, his burger looked like a McDonalds hamburger in a not so much bigger bun,, I was in apologize vibe for the rest his visit,, I will never go back to Browns ,, go to Fatburgers:)

Such a welcoming location! Also love that there are gluten free options. One wish would be for there to be a separate fryer for GF fries. Dietary restrictions: I appreciate that there are gluten free options and that the servers seem to really understand it. Kid-friendliness: We go to Browns a lot after soccer events with a few soccer families and they have always been so welcoming!

We went to Brown social house in port moody last friday on Oct 27. Our server was Noa .He was such a charming , Kind and young Gentleman. He was the best server we have ever seen . The only issue was a very very strong smell of burning oil from a kitchen which caused the breathing to be difficult.

Let me start by saying that we eat Browns REGULARLY, so this is in no way a one-off review. Last nights service was BAD. The place was half empty; after sitting for more than 10 mins we finally had to flag someone down just to get water, let alone drinks ordered. I gave a 3 on food only because the burgers were great. However, the tuna poke bowl was one of the poorest weve ever had; at most, it had maaaaybe one third of the amount of vegetables it usually has. To top it off, after declining dessert, our server was non-existent, we waited 25 min before we then had to flag the server to get our bill. Sadly, this was our friends first time eating at a Browns (would not let us send the dish back, did not want to draw attention) but certainly wont be returning. Sadly the random tuna poke bowl building is becoming a regular thing.... 3 days ago there was no rice! That day it was sent back. Seriously, lots to improve on.

Our server Juleeia over charged me and my group of 10 by typing our totals in as more than they actually were on the machines which we all then tipped on top of. We have proof of this if the owner or manager would like to take a look. She then told us we couldn t get our receipts when we caught on to what she was doing. Love this location and the one star is purely a reflection of the horrendous server we had. Sad that this girl is taking money from innocent people during a pandemic - who knows how many people she s done this to. It s Illegal and so wrong.

Ordered the Butchers Block Burger.. It was a pretty good burger especially with the maple bacon strips. Yam fries were good too. The service was ok but it took forever to get our bill.

Awesome place! Loved the atmosphere, the music was nice and not overpowering, the menu has plenty of options. The food is incredible, had a blast with my friends here. The waitress was very kind and was very good at what she did, not too much talking but not too little, just enough that we got to know each other. I 100% recommend to come here if you want to have some drinks, food, and hang out with your friends. Try out that Oreo Jar in the dessert section, absolutely phenomenal. It has an Oreo on top, crumbled Oreo on the top, cheesecake in the middle and more crumbled Oreo on the bottom. Come here! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: They have Gluten Free options and vegetarian options. Parking: Parking is plenty in the back parking lot and on the side of the road. Kid-friendliness: No kids allowed, this is a pub. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs will have no problem here. No stairs or ridiculous inclines.

We ordered the lettuce wraps and the toppings arrived in a soup consistency with no more then 4 small pieces of chicken and a half head of lettuce chopped. Extremely disappointed for the price. You should go back to the drawing board on this one. We also orders the nachos and the amount of sour cream or salsa you get is about a tablespoon worth. Once again but the nail on the head with this one.

We always use Browns in Glen Dr and for the first time decided to go to Port Moody. We ordered the lettuce wraps and a Calamari and after 45 min we were told Sorry your order did not go thru and you have to order again. Orders placed again and then after 15 more minutes finally we received a spoiled lettuce which we returned it. Extremely disappointed for the price.

awesome staff good quality of food and kinda well designed place

It was my first time here and unfortunately my experience didn t go well about the food. Cesar salad was just something out of grocery store. As seen in the picture the butchers burger was nothing close to what you would expect at place at this level. The patty was barely 100g and it was burnt and dry. The waitress tried change it and the replacement was was similar to the first one. Needless to say that the kitchen was only with some junior cooks. I believe food service is not the string point of this place! Could be good for having some beers maybe..

Great patio space, food and service. Browns here is on par with the other Browns locations, but also has a better patio space than most locations. The street out front is also quiet so you can easily talk and drink with friends.

A wonderful place for a first date, or even some drinks with friends. Their beer is always fairly priced and the service is always great. Highly recommend

Had lunch here on Tuesday with a friend. Food was good, drinks were OK. Service was friendly. Giving 3 stars because I left my glasses on the table, yet when I called back within a short time they couldnt be found. Really disappointing that staff would throw out a pair of prescription glasses! Lunch cost me an extra $200 that day, hence my 3 star review

Great services, great Onion Rings, great Beer and Wine, Terrible Burgers. Cold, tastelss, and soggy. Bun was actually more than cold (it was partially frozen). Buns have been sitting outside in the cold weather. To the Manager and Chef(s), you rreally need to try the Burger at Pier 7 Restaurant in North Van to get an idea of what could be done with a bit of extra care and attention. Again though your servers were great.

Great food here but you wouldnt be able to tell looking at just the menu. The ham and cheese panini has way more then just ham and cheese. Everything seems basic on the menu but when it comes its loaded up with extras. You need to order at the counter

Browns is always consistent with their food. It is always cooked well and delicious! We had a family dinner there recently and it was a lot of fun! The waiter was personable without being over bearing, and was attentive. I will go back again soon!

Not a good restuarant to have fun in it. Bad service, bad food. I tried this Browns at least 5 times after pandamic, the staff are rude and food is much below average. There are better restuarants around the Tri-Cities that you can have fun when you go there.

My family will occasionally eat inside or outside at Browns Socialhouse in Newport but mostly we do takeout every Saturday night. The staff are great, especially during these trying times. As anyone knows, whenever food is taken home there can be errors made that are not discovered until later. A special shout out to Kevin who went above and beyond to make it right for us last Saturday night. We continue to be loyal customers but will miss the option of a sunny patio day as they become less frequent. Cheers to everyone !

Browns is a 5 out of 5 experience, awesome atmosphere and staff, whether youre alone or with friends. the more the merrier. I find the busy they are and the louder the place is with excited people talking and laughing the better it is. its a happy enviroment. They dont need a live band, the enviroment it self is like the band, with there own music adding to the experience !!
