Food was fairly good. Service was good and friendly. We enjoyed the area as its near the water.

We loved this place! We found it by a Google search for a small, non-chain, casual restaurant with good food reviews half way between Maple Ridge and North Van. The food was all amazing! Ambience, location and service were all excellent. Thank you Sylvia for the lovely evening! And as owners of a small business, we know that a huge thank you also goes to the owners and managers! Discovered Float 30 a week ago and already Ive been there twice in 6 days. Hands down the best seafood chowder! The Halibut and chips are right up there, and the Boil, its legit. Very cozy place, the staff are amazing. Weve been served by Sylvia and Jenna on separate occasions amd couldnt ask for better service. Do yourself a huge favor and visit this spot. I know I will again.

I found myself here around 12 pm today on the heated patio, ordered the fish and chips and was very satisfied!! My server Vish was phenomenal and knew the menu like the back of his hand!! Will be recommending to friends and family.

Was interested in trying this place, it s a nice cozy spot out on the marina, gotta say service was pretty solid, staff were friendly, and the food was fresh. I personally had the chowder and the seafood boil and loved every bite. We celebrated a few birthdays (had a large party) and not only did they manage to accommodate us, they came out and sang happy birthday! I was pleasantly surprised for my first time exploring this place. Parking: Just be sure you go into the restaurant as they have parking passes for guests. No need to pay for parking.

Originally, I wasnt planning on reviewing this place because I thought their signature croffles would be overated and gimmicky, but OH MY GOD you have to try these. Float 30 has an incredibly good range of options for both breakfast and lunch, including their delicious egg and bacon sandwich (seriously one of the best Ive ever had) along with a flakey and waffley croffle topped with fresh whipped cream and strawberries. For dinner, they have a wide range of pastas that also fail to disappoint. 10/10, 5/5, 5 s would AND have eaten here again.

Patio is covered in and heated for winter but dogs are allowed. Area to small to be eating with dogs and heath board does not allow animals in the inside of restaurants. Guide dogs understandably. Operators need to keep animals away from eating area.

We come to Float 30 on a weekly basis. LOVE the food, especially the kale caesar salad and the avocado egg burger on brioche bun! Oh and the seafood platter is amazing, too!! Staff are so friendly - Liisa was fun and accommodating. Provided a free parking too. You won t be disappointed!!

Food was absolutely delicious, 4 of us dined here and all had something deferent but all equally delicious. Service was quick, food and drinks all came out quick as well. Easily one of the best meals I ve had in recent memory.

The fish & chips were good although Id have preferred the batter to have been cooked just a little longer. Wheelchair accessibility: Not all that easy. Theres a ramp and then a couple of steps.

Visited this-today restaurant for dinner! The fish and chips were really good! Patio was heated, And our server was really nice and kind. He recommended us mango panna cotta, which was really fantastic no doubt. Loved it!!!!

Food was good, highly recommend the Seafood Chowder, it s bigger than you expect, don t order a side with it. The poutine gravy was really dark and a bit pasty, (tastes like Knorr Brown Gravy Powder) but other that that the Muscles, Burgers, And Chowder was great.

Very relaxing, comfortable and dog friendly patio! Not the biggest but lots of space between tables for dogs to stay around their own table but still able to say hi if desired. I ordered the chicken CRAFFLE , never had this before. It came from South Korea, and combined waffle and croissant to gave it a fluffy buttery taste. It was amazing! The first bite, rich flavor of butter filled your mouth! Love it! And the friend chicken was amazing! So crunch outside and tender inside. And their coffee was delicious also! Celebrating my friend s birthday. It was fantastic!

The family really enjoyed the food and service tonight. Its very hard for a business to build it up in a location thats not very known to many people. The restaurant was really busy and the staff were very pro-active and welcoming. Id like to say thanks to all the staff and owners. They had to deal with a very difficult situation and dealt with it very well. Thanks again and well be back.

Price for the food is so so.

What a treasure! First time visit but will definitely be back. We had halibut, fish was beautiful and batter crispy. Large servings so got to take home a meal too. We had mango can potta and chocolate cake both were delicious.

Sat outside which was alot better then inside which was too warm and noisy. Had the clam chowder that was full of clams, differnt fish, salmon and white fish, prawns, corn, red pepper, celery and onions, broth was creamy but not too thick, very yummy, comes with toasted bread, very yummy bowl of soup.

What a lovely surprise this little gem was! We ordered the halibut and chips and the kale ceasar. The fish was super light and crispy, the fries were huge and delish too. The Kale salad is big enough for 3 or 4! Both will be my faves going forward. Our server was a not only efficient but super fun, thank you Debra! An excellent experience plus you get a view! Will def return. You should go, they even serve breakfast!

Fish & chips was expensive, (29.50) for 3 piece cod & chips and the fish was thin and greasy. Fries were homemade and very good. Chowder was a large portion and looked like it should be delicous but was thin and lacked any real flavour. ($16.50) Service was phenomenal but the food was very expensive for what you got. After tax and tip for said fish & chips, chowder and a beer was over $70.00. Atmosphere was a very cool vibe but probably wont go back.

The food here is amazing. Seafood so fresh, never tastes fishy (I m very sensitive to that taste and usually don t eat seafood for that reason). BEST Thai green curry anywhere, temporarily on the menu. Service is friendly unique location at Reed Point Marina - free two-hour parking if dining there. Highly recommend.

My friend & I couldnt decide between the fish & chips cod or the trout, so we each got 1 of them and swapped 1 pc of each fish. Both were delicious! Cooked perfectly, the batter was light and crispy, 10/10. Fries were nothing special but nothing to complain about in that department. Not soggy & there was a nice mix in of some small crispy ones that I love. Tartar sauce was good... All of it was good! Totally recommend. A bit more $ than I usually choose to spend (Im kind of cheap) but its a decent price for lunch out with some friends. (If you want drinks though, bring your credit card because that makes it get pricey real fast. My friend got a small drink that was $15???????? Never in my life.)

Foodies, do not be fooled by the croffle & what its paired with!! Its all pretense!! This is your grandmas greasy spoon diner, and everything, from coffee to food, is less than sub-par. Oh! And its not on the water!! Nice patio, but dont expect a water front view. I ordered the Chicken & Croffle, with a coffee to start & a mimosa to follow. The coffee was bitter, never finished it even after doctoring it up. The mimosa was flat--the bubbles had no fizz!! They certainly did not use fresh champagne. The croffle itself was a horrible texture and, somehow, the syrup was also gross. The hollandaise sauce was gelatinous and the poached egg wasnt even remotely runny. The chicken was not battered here--a frozen piece that they deep-fried. The potatoes are alright--salt & ketchup comfort food. My husband ordered the honey Dijon croffle. It was disgusting. The ham was think & gross. But the mustard...the mustard was sour. It was unsavable!! His eggs were under-done, too! The bacon my husband ordered on the side was the pre-made stuff that is microwaved to make ready We didnt complain because there was nothing to complain about. Technically, they did nothing wrong and brought us their best! So, we said thank you and moved on.

UPDATE: I dined here again May 11 and had the seafood boil (again). This time it was better than before with a very generous portion. Its somewhat different than the seafood chowder, but has the same high quality seafood ingreedients. This is one of my favorite casual spots around Pt. Moody and Coquitlam. I had dinner last Sunday and the seafood chowder was excellent!! The broth was tasty but didn t overpower the fish. Seating available on the patio or inside. The manager/chef Jason was very personable and was interested in my comments. Parking: Parking is in the marina lot and Float 30 provides a free pass while youre eating.

Everything was very good. The service was very good, as was the food. My husband and I shared the boil and the seafood chowder. So good!!! One of my teens had a bacon cheddar burger. Another teen had the fish and chips. My third teen had the avocado and egg burger with a beyond meat pattie. All the kids enjoyed their food. The fries are endless so they got one extra side of fries. The IPA was good and so was the white sangria.

The staff are nice. Theyll validate your parking. The food is not very good - at least not the fish and chips. The fish and french fries are greasy as all hell. The fish had bones, and the fries were dark and heavy from being so saturated in grease. I felt nauseous after eating my food. We wont be back. I want to give 1 star, but it wasnt terrible - it just wasnt for me. The staff kick up the rating to 2 stars.

Today we took a rainy drive out to Port Moody to give Float 30 a try. The restaurant was so inviting. It was dead which surprised me given how many people constantly hype it. We had the fish and chips and the seafood chowder. Probably the freshest fish, in a fish and chips dish Ive ever had. The seafood chowder was rich and silky and full of seafood. I really want to go back for breakfast lol #whensmynextmeal

So so so good! Stopped by for some burgers and beer after a hike, everything was great! They have a nice patio with enough room, nice view. You can hear the train very loudly when it passed by but it doesn t really bother. Prices are very reasonable, portions are great

Restaurant was out of a lot of the menu items. Service was appalling - had to wait a long time to even get greeted. Asked the server how many pieces of fish came with an order they said 2 then the dishes only cake with 1 piece each. They sent out an extra dish that we didn t order, after taking it back they still tried to charge us for it at the end. On the bright side - the food was pretty yummy. Overall a disappointing experience.

It was a nice sunny day so the atmosphere was nice sitting on the patio. I ordered the cob salad and I have to say it was disappointing as a lot of the lettuce was slimy and rotten! When you are charging over $18 for a salad the chef had better make sure the lettuce is washed and any slimy pieces removed. The downside of using pkg lettuce! Told the waitress and the chef did not even come out and apologize! Slime in a salad is a total turnoff! Yuck!

Float 30 is a simpler atmosphere but delivers on the food. I enjoyed the Cod and Chips yet the Avocado and Egg Smash Burger is what Id go back for. They also had surprisingly good Sangria. Additional fries are free if desired and they give parking passes so you dont have to pay for parking!

We had a delicious meal last night. Best ever linguini with huge shrimp/scampi. Clams and mussels were very fresh. Well be back!

Amazing Experience at Float 30! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Float 30 and ordered the classic hamburger. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were attentive. The classic hamburger was absolutely delicious juicy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. It was hands down one of the best burgers Ive ever had. A special shoutout to the manager, who was incredibly kind and went out of his way to ensure we had a great dining experience. His warm hospitality truly made our visit memorable. I highly recommend Float 30 to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and exceptional service. We will definitely be returning!

The restaurant is located in the Marina. You can sit outside in a covered and heated dining area. You can enjoy a view of the inlet and the surrounding mountains. We ordered a burger and fish and chips. The burger was one of the best I had in a very long time. The fish was juicy, and the fries are infinite.

We visited for lunch today our first time. It wont be the last. Service was excellent and friendly, Debra was very knowledgeable about the menu and made several very helpful suggestions. No water view, but not a problem. Recieved a parking pass which was a very nice touch..

Float 30 in Port Moody is like finding a culinary treasure at the end of a pier. The fish and chips are so good, youll be reeling for more, and the clam chowder is as comforting as a hug from a sea otter . But heres the catch: the all-you-can-eat fries are dangerously addictive, so pace yourself unless you want to float away! As for the halibut, its $20 more than snapper, but Im not sure if its worth the halibut pun intended! Despite the fishy price debate, Float 30 offers a reel-y good time with its delicious fare and waterfront charm. Just dont be shellfish with those fries!

Wow this place s fish & chips was so fresh, crispy and delicious!!! We got to sit outside on their undercover patio with the warmers and listened to the raindrops. The staff were friendly and service was fast despite them hosting a birthday/party. I want to come back on a sunny day and look at the sunset! I highly recommend this place and the prices are great too :)

Best fish and chips in town by far!!! Amazing homemade coleslaw and homemade tartar. Very tasty and flavourful seafood soup. And they have seasonal menu items from tome to time. Definitely my go to place for a nice chill relaxing outing.

New post as of Feb 27, 2024: Had dinner here again Sunday night and it was so delish! We had oysters, fish & chips (the best weve had btw!), seafood chowder, seafood boil and salad. Food was so fresh and tasty. Service was top notch, management and the service staff were all so incredibly friendly. Great seaside ambience and super clean. This place is such a gem! ------------------------------------------- So my boyfriend and I finally got back here again after totally craving their amazing fish & chips (the best weve had btw!) and ordered the Haida Gwaii Lingcod Fish & Chips...HEAVENlY! The fish was sooo fresh and perfectly cooked, coleslaw, fries and tartar sauce was all supremely DELISH. Cant wait to get back. My parents loved theirs as well along with the Seafood Chowder. The staff were so friendly and prices reasonable. Comfortable indoor or outdoor patio seating. Plenty of parking within a few steps. Beautiful seaside and mountain views. We went to Float 30 for the first time today (Valentines Day 2024) I enjoyed the Kale salad and my hubby enjoyed the cod meal. We shared seafood chowder and it was delicious. So much flavor! Great location and view depending on where you sit. It would be great if they raised the blinds fully. Just opened blinds cuts off the full view. Bonus! Dogs allowed on porche.sp we will definitely being our dog next time. Too bad 3x a week theyre only open until 4pm but it is a cute place. The seating could be more comfortable but one could bring a pillow to sit on if your bottom gets sore easily on hard wood. Possibly making it into a diner would be awesome. Or at least the seating. Parking: We got a free parking pass from the staff inside the restaurant and parked in front of the restaurant

What a fantastic hidden gem! I googled a place for Breakfast in Port Moody and this was amongst the selection. Breakfast is seemingly new, so we thought wed give it a go. So glad we did! Clean, simple, excellent staff, and a nice neat selection of breakfast items. I had the Craffle and Chicken, my friend the Salmon Lox, and both were amazing! Definitely a place to return to!

We had the $2 oysters which were so fresh and delicious! I had the portobello havarti smash burger, which was amazing. Will definitely be back!

Went for lunch on Valentines Day, and it didnt disappoint. Had the West Coast Ling Cod & Chips and the Steamed Salt Spring Mussels (feature special), then the Float30 Fried Banana Split (forgot to take a pic) for dessert. Was all very tasty, but didnt like the mussels enough to order them again. Theres heated outdoor patio seating, but be aware that its dog friendly, and when we were there a couple guests had incompatible dogs that made for unpleasant loud meal. There wasnt a view of the water. You can get a parking pass to avoid paying for parking.

The restaurant itself is pretty casual, like a cafe, but the food is amazing. Good service and the prices are very reasonable.

Tried this place on recommendation and have become quite the regular! Dog friendly, heated patio, amazing food. For lunch I love the clam chowder and for dinner I like the seafood linguine that has muscles, clams, fish, and shrimp in a creamy white sauce. There is also a lot of parking and you can get a parking pass so you don t have to pay for parking!

We go there often. Best kept little secret. Love the menus especially the fish n chips, and avocado toast ! Great for group get togethers. With a little notice they will even create custom party trays to go. Cant beat the service and atmosphere, in or outside. Thank you Float 30!

I recently heard about Float30 and wanted to give them a try. I am so glad I did. Very cool location very close to the water at Reed Point Marina below Barnet Hwy. Food was great. Prawns/shrimp, mussels, clams in the pasta dishes were cooked perfectly. The fresh Fanny Bay oysters were delicious. My kids ordered a burger and they both loved it. Great (endless) fries as well. Very good value for excellent quality food. We will definitely be returning. Parking: Don t pay for parking - they ll provide a parking pass for while you re dining.

Their new item is Croffles and my husband loved his Chicken Croffles! I really enjoyed the Classic (syrup and whipped cream). Generous portions of fresh food and a great menu; everything we saw looked very appealing. We ll definitely be back soon. Parking: Ask the host for a complimentary parking pass. Kid-friendliness: Children there when we were seemed to enjoy the hot chocolate and the Croffles!

The oysters and fish and chips were good. The seafood pasta needed seasoning, some garlic and herbs would have been nice.

This was the second time we were there. The food was great and the view of the Inlet was nice. Lisa was helpful and very friendly. Definitely will be back.

Was really craving some seafood and decided to try the seafood boil at Float 30. It was so good and satisfying plus food came out super fast! Definitely will be coming back to try some of their other dishes and hang out on the patio before the summer ends!

We showed up at Float 30 on a holiday long weekend at peak lunch hour and, of course, there was a reasonable wait for the patio. Decided to get take out, which was ready in only 10 minutes! I was impressed as it was very busy. The staff were very kind and the fish and chips was perfect. Absolutely no difference in great hospitality and deliciousness with take out.

Nice quiet place ...but would be fun with a group for brews n appys. Nice find!

This tucked away restaurant is a gem! I was happy to spot this place on Google Maps. Fresh seafood, well seasoned, although the salmon was a bit dry, I really enjoyed the dish! Good service and vacation atmosphere! I definitely will be back

$2 oysters excellent prep and price. Each of the fishes and chips are hot and crispy. Chowder is big enough to share. May as well have the deep-fried banana.

Nice little gem tucked in the Marina. Great views from the patio and dog friendly. We had fish and chips - ling cod and halibut - both were excellent! We also had sangria, rose spritz and a ceaser all were reasonably priced and delicious. Dessert - lava cake and gluten free cheesecake were a sweet treat. We will be back for sure.

Everything was great. The oysters were small but fresh.

Was initially provided a weird spot for our family of 7 but the restaurant rectified it. We had the seafoodboil and it was good. The sauce was good. Lots of seafood and fish was fresh. Two of our mussels were not opened at all, not sure if QC was missed in the kitchen. When server asked how was our experience, we mentioned about it and they were apologetic about it and fixed the issue! That was a pleasant surprise as many restaurants these days dont really care much. The complimentary dish was very good and generous. That was unexpected. Fish and chips, was crispy and fish were fantastic. Unlimited fries. Best to ask for unsalted fries as the fries was a bit too salty. Other family member had the seafood linguine and likes it. Seafood chowder, Yum!!! Overall, great experience. Would go on a good day for the view.

Float 30 is a hidden gem. Will definitely go back. So many dishes I would like to try! Parking: The parking is a pay parking lot but go into the restaurant and ask for a parking pass. Display it in your vehicle and parking is free!

Been here several times now so time to review... Always great friendly service with high quality prepared sea food ,burgers etc Good wine and beer pairings and reasonable prices. I like that the Chef gets amazing flavors without throwing a lot of salt on his dishes. Cheers SD

What a treasure this place is! Charming marina location, gorgeous heated patio and truly great food. I had Scampi in white wine sauce over linguine, the pasta was perfectly al dente, beautifully flavoured with a very generous portion of prawns. My partner s snapper fish and chips were also fabulous. Light crisp batter and fresh cut fries. A gem of a place.

I was so happy to learn that this restaurant reopened! It is a hidden gem in a beautiful waterfront location. The service is fast and friendly and the fish and chips are like home made not processed. Parking: There is plenty of free parking. They will give you a ticket for your dashboard for 2 hours of free parking. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has a ramp and the door is wide enough for a wheelchair to go through. It is all one level with lots of room between the tables.

A group of us went for dinner and i thought the food was great ! My friend and i shared the burger and ling cod and chips. The Burger was so good ! The Cod wasnt greasy and not overly battered and heavy. Good quality and the patio was beautiful with nice lighting and nice warm patio heaters . Can t wait to go back for brunch or lunch. Dessert was so good too !

We recently had our company party here and everything was outstanding! Delicious food,great service and a view of the inlet with the Carol ships just made our night!
