We had our Christmas party here. Chicken dinner with a vegetarian option. The food was fine as was the service. I was surprised that a dingle glass of wine was as expensive as it was as the legion has always been famous for reasonable drink prices. Still, this is a nice location.
In this case food is N/A since I didn't eat there. But the atmosphere and service is splendorous. They do really try their best to help you out
[Service scored low due to water policy Vs. 5 star interaction. We will not spend money on food due to policy.] We came to this Legion to attend a Saturday night salsa dance event. We regularly attend Legion dance events in Vernon, Enderby, and Salmon Arm. Ar these smaller events, water and coffee is freely available. With the same entry fee, and four times the attendees, one would think the Port Moody Legion would be supportive of the event. On arrival, before the event start, I went to the bar to order two beverages, along with glasses of water. I was informed that management had just instigated a policy of only selling bottled water. I have run across this policy before, when one is only requesting water. I have never been refused water with a meal or a beverage order before. To reinforce a poor management decision, the manager chose not to be available for the inauguration of this policy. This is unfair to the employees, who must face the sour customers. Luckily, the bartender had good customer service skills dealing with the unfortunate position he was placed in. I guess the bartender will either find a better establishment for employment or become the manager at this Legion. We will definitely not be recommending that our Legion friends drop into this branch. It will just be a story of how good we have it at home!
Open to the public, and a rock solid deal! You can get a great bite to eat for $10 (or less!) with $6 beers! The food is good, the staff are wonderful. This is a hidden gem! There’s public parking in the underground , accessible through the alleyway - it’s not obvious.
Enjoyed my experience at the Port Moody Legion. Server was very friendly. Food and drinks were not only delicious but VERY well priced. The chef even came over to check that we were enjoying the food. Great experience all around and will be back.

Beautiful new building with a large sports bar/pub. Nice menu selection too. Definitely going back to support our Vets and get in on that Friday night meat draw! Might even try the prime rib. A great place to meet friends and keep the Legion alive and thriving. #legion119 #veterans #poppies
Really good place, the server was really nice and help us in all our needs. We came with our children and felt really welcome. His children menu fish and chips was great. The seafood chowder isnreally good. The beef dip and fried chicken are great too. 9$ beef deep for lunch on Saturday what a steel. We will for sure be back soon.

Ive only been there for the salsa dance parties hosted by Alberto & Teresa from Salsa Dance Zone so I cant really review on food/ drinks/service. However for the dance party purpose the space is great and theres plenty of room on the dance floor, as well as plenty of room to just sit/ stand a bit to the side and catch your breath. Big plus, theres room for us to dance Rueda which is a big bonus.
Best place in town for yummy food, delicious drinks with outstanding prices! The staff are amazing, very attentive & friendly! Also the best patio, theyre dog friendly too! Highly recommended!

We attended a buffet dinner with Port Moody Soccer group. The food was very good. Beef and chicken was nicely seasoned and tasty. The veggie combo was excellent, as was the pasta and potatoes. The staff were efficient and personable. Overall , a fun evening for the group. Thank You.

There was a live band on the dance floor on weekends, but there was only one outside waiter. After a long wait, no one came to ask for food or drink orders. There were only 2 chefs in the kitchen and it was very slow. The food was sold out at 7pm, so we had to ask friends to take out other food. I brought pizzas from the restaurant into the venue and I was starving, but the live band is great. There are different live performances every week. Friends who love dancing can come and give it a try. Parking is hard to find. Parking is in the basement in the back alley or on the street. There are very few seats and the location is hard to find. You need to check your vaccination certificate before entering. People in their golden years usually spend money here. It is a membership system with an annual fee of $60CAD. There is no entry fee for members, or if you have friends who are Members can bring you in. Maybe that night was the first time since the epidemic was eased and I was too busy. I hope there will be improvement. The service was so bad that it only took 10 minutes to get a set meal. It was too slow!

We celebrated our moms 80th birthday and our mom and dads 60th wedding anniversary Saturday May 28th with our entire family. Michelle was over the top awesome!!! Wait staff were incredible, the buffet dinner was professional 5 star gourmet quality!! These people out did themselves and helped us create a very special day!! Obviously I would highly recommend utilizing the Legion for your events. Thank you so much Michelle! You and your staff are superstars!!!!!
Have always loved the legion in port moody. I was a member when I turned 19 and am glad they did a good job of the rebuild, nice staff, good prices and good food. Yes then menu is small but that is expected coming off this crazy pandemic. Love supporting business that support the community.
A very nice modern-day build in a not so high traffic area. Clean feeling with a patio experience for some.
I have read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. Not the friendliest of places.Not sure if you have to be a member to get service. The first time I had a very salty stuffed Yorkshire. Makes you want to drink more. The last time we were in, we got our own menu and waited to order. The server was serving others and chatting it up. She passed us a few times not making contact. Finally we got up to leave. Thats when she rushed over apologizing. Too little too late. Sorry but are so many other places in Port Moody to eat.

First time in the new Legion and we were impressed with decor and overall layout. Beautiful quilts representing Remembrance day. They were having meat draws and the meats were impressive. Unfortunately we didnt win but it all goes to a good cause
Our first time here, but wed heard rave things from others about it. Really top quality pub style food, nice and modern and clean inside, professional and friendly staff. MASSIVE portions, we wanted to try a few things and the prices were so good, we didnt realize how big everything would be until it arrived and we could only finish half of our food. Surprisingly not busy for Saturday, although Im sure itll pickup once things get back to normal. Really good experience and we will be back!
Not your Grandparents Legion (not dank and dark, although, I still love those classic Legions and seek them out too); this venue is open, bright, airy, and just a great place for a welcoming meal and some typically teasingly priced pints. That said, there is no mistaking or missing the Legion awesomeness upon your first glance in the place; clearly the Legion mission to honour our Vets is not overlooked here. As for the food? Just like you hoped it would be. Simply the best combo of Legion home cooking combined with that pub grub you crave on a Saturday night. Cant wait for the darts and pool tables to open; this is going to be my local pub ASAP.

The food is really good. You can get a side salad with your meals, no extra charge like some places, and its delicious. Goat cheese, candied pecans and white balsamic dressing. Hamburgers are excellent, seafood chowder and more. It has a nice patio that gets sun and you can bring your kids too. You dont have to be a Legion member but if you are you get 10% off. I highly recommend giving it a try and you are also supporting our veterans which is so very important!

Surprisingly some of the best pub food Ive ever had! The mini Yorkshire puddings were delicious, the French Onion soup was way better than the Keg, and the burgers were hot and juicy. Service was so friendly, cant wait to come back more often!

Great food, Great service, You dont have to be a member to get in. Lots of different games to play, Pool tables, Dart Boards, shuffleboard. Lots of fun.
We were at the Legion tonight w a group of 16 people. I called over 2 weeks ago to reserve for 14 people and when I spoke to BRYCE I specifically said we should have enough wait staff.. and he assured.me he would.and yet here we are with one server. Katie was fantastic and I told.her so but the fact that BRYCE let Katie here by herself to serve not only our group of 16 but a fair amount of.orher people is NOT ACCEPTABLE. As well, they have no happy hour specials.

Nice large new Legion. Beautiful quilts on display. The seafood chowder is amazing but ask for the lovely puff pastry on the side as its hard to break up once its in the soup.

Great place, not like Legions of the past, food is amazing.
Great friendly staff, tasty burgers and cheap wings. Super selection of craft beers including from the local breweries. No membership was required (though I paid for one for the rest of the year) and we had a good time playing pool.

Excellent food! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Very friendly staff. They have pool tables and darts available. Also on occasion there is live music. The legion is part of a new condo complex aptly named The Strand.
Check daily specials....hard to beat. Great atmosphere.

This place has quickly become my favorite place to go for a drink and a bite to eat along the port moody area. I like how eventhough they have music playing its not turned up so loud that you have to yell to have a conversation. The staff is friendly, drink prices are fair and the food is good. I recommend the Big Blue Burger. Only qualm is they should have a menu of what beers they have on tap in clear view. Other than that this place is well run

Good prices, very clean inside. Pool table, dart board and lots of room. Parking is decent too. We had trouble getting drinks, re-ordering them a couple times, and billed twice but was sorted out in the end.
