Great food, if a little pricey. Service was great and atmosphere is really nice. Nice views of harbour/inlet. Only complaint would be having to pay for parking. Would be nice of they compd the parking fee.

Party of 7. Sunday afternoon. All of our food orders were almost cold and our waitress never came back after dropping off food to check if everything was okay so we just ate it. Expensive so we expected it to be hot and excellent. Very disappointed. After we had finished eating, our plates were not taken away and we waited almost 30 minutes to finally get our bills. We had lobster pasta, seafood omelettes , Portuguese stew and everyone was totally disappointed. Not very pleasant to eat cold food when you are paying so much money. Won t go back!!

My favorite!! Best in everything

We were trying to figure out dinner and choosing between the boathouse and the keg. Decided to go to the boathouse tonight because it was closer. Usually i like the boathouse but the service today was horrible and ruined the night for me. Hostess was not friendly, server was short with me. Overall just negative vibes and not a good time. I should have gone to the keg instead. Next time boathouse wont even be a consideration for dining. Edit: 6 years later and i havent returned and i dont feel like im missing anything. There are much better dining options in the area.

It s such a great location wasted by poor management. It s a glorified red lobster. But at least red lobster has crab forks.

Had the Breakfast with Santa here and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Pastries, fruit and coffee ready right when we got there. Our server was the best, couldn t have asked for anything better. Our little one was happy and occupied the entire time with snacks, food, and gingerbread decorating. Santa was a delight. Will be back next year, thank you!

We came for a family birthday brunch and the service was great (thanks, Vanessa!). They topped up our water and coffee throughout the meal and made sure the temperature was good (we were sitting on the patio). Really happy we went here for brunch, and the views were nice too. Will definitely be back. Something to note is the parking lot is now a paid parking lot. They do accept reservations online (which was great).

Its a smart idea to have a fine-dining restaurant by the coast of the Burrard Inlet. Very good size for a restaurant. Great cuisine and good waiters. A great addition to Port Moody.

The food is fairly good but I liked the lake view and the atmosphere of this restaurant. Kid-friendliness: There are colourful pencils and picture for kids to draw.

I have had excellent experiences at The Boathouse, however my most recent visit on my 65th birthday was an unexpected disappointment. Service and atmosphere were excellent, as usual, but the food was not up to par. I had the Moroccan Halibut with a Quinoa side that was a tasteless combination. Priced at $48, it was a huge disappointment and wont be ordered again. My companions Seafood Pasta was tasty but the prawns were overcooked to the point of a rubbery texture. Im willing to consider it an off night, but it left a bad impression. Im sorry to leave a poor food review because my love for The Boathouse made it a go-to dining destination for my many visits to Vancouver, but my opinion of it has been lowered considerably.

Had dinner here and our waitress was really pleasant to deal with and dinner was sensational !!! I just had to leave a genuine review . We had the salmon shrimp and quinoa dish with the crab cakes it s new to the menu and chefs kiss!! 10/10 would definitely recommend

Food bland, overpriced and super small portions. One can see the place is always empty for a reason. They should not be allowed to operate in a public park if they arent serving the public. Would prefer the place be bulldozed and some trees put in or more parking. Giving atmosphere 1 because the atmosphere would be improved if the building wasnt there and it was just parkland with me eating my own picnic.

Beautiful location at the waters edge with a picturesque view across the inlet. Everything was delicious.

Horrible! Sherry, this is very disrespectful to children! The child wanted to go to the toilet. You could have just let the child go to the toilet. You turned on the fireplaces, you hung romantic light bulbs, but this does not make your restaurant authoritative. You were worried about the image of your restaurant, but don t worry. YOU DON T HAVE ONE! SHAME!

Horrible service! From the front desk service to the table there was a lack in providing any pleasantries and it seemed as if we were inconveniencing them. Table service was even worse. They didn t bring water, bread or bother to have plates when our seafood platter arrived! We had to get up to ask for these items and then they recommend a 15-20% gratuity. It s a wonder they are still in businesss if it wasn t for the view!

This place has gone downhill in the last few years in selection, service and food quality. Its now more expensive than ever with the lower quality. There are better local options that you should go to.

I love this location! Food, service and atmosphere was perfect.

We went for New Years and had the set menu. I had the tuna, she had the lobster ravioli. The rare tuna was chewier than a bad steak, and the sides were inedible. The lobster ravioli was bland and sloppy. Our mains arrived while we were half way through our starters, and then we didn t see a server for 45 minutes. After complaining about the food, they didn t even give us a complimentary coffee. I was extremely disappointed, especially for what they were charging. Would not recommend. Update: I spoke to the manager. He offered a gift certificate that never came. I talked to him about the terrible lobster ravioli. I told him it tasted like something from the freezer section at the grocery store. He told me it was a premium frozen product . Doesn t matter how premium your frozen product is. When I go to the Boathouse for a very expensive set menu on New Years Eve, I don t think it is too much to expect a fresh pasta. Would still not recommend.

I hate writing bad reviews however I feel that something needs to be said about this. We were there for a birthday and ordered some appetizers. One was calamari which seemed like someone poured out the bottom of a bag of frozen calamari BITS mixed with way more batter coated BITS of red pepper and whatever else. Absolute garbage and appetizer fries were SO garlicky that the aroma almost had us passing out. The short ribs were an awful cut of meat drenched in liquid. Service wasnt great. We had to go find a spoon on our own. Sorry Boathouse, you used to be so good back in the day.

Dont order his steak. The oysters are delicious. The fried squid tasted terrible, so I gave it away. After that, we kept asking the waiter to pour water for us, but the waiter turned a blind eye. After we called him in person, he was very unhappy and smashed the kettle on the table hard. People at other tables would help pour it. The bottom of the ice cream for dessert was completely empty. If I could give zero hearts, I would have given it.

This place is excellent! Fine food and tasty ,with water frontage view. Professional and funny servers entertaining customers while serving. Reservations recommended. Parking might be an issue, since the restaurant doesnt own parking spots .Lots of visitors to the park ,pier and boat lounchers.

This place is continuing the decline into complete mediocrity that started a few years ago to the point where the only thing it has going for it is a fantastic view of the inlet on a sunny day. I stop in from time to time hoping for a better experience but have now reached the end of the road. They ve even figured out a way to foul up a bowl of soup (watery) and a Caesar salad (flavorless and also watery). This after being essentially ignored at the door for more than five minutes in a very quiet restaurant, with staff walking past and literally not caring. Of course, the prices keep going up, and they re charging premium levels for what might be some of the worst food in the tri cities. It s a shame that the people who run this place don t care more, because the potential if they got it right would be incredible. Personally, I ll vote with my feet. I m going to miss the view.

The black cod was as white as the rice it came with. The flavours will take you back to that time when you went to a hospice and asked for their boredom special. Sure, it looked great and Im glad I asked for cracked pepper. For something supposed to be Thai, the closest to Thailand this meal would be is that it was made near water. I think the first bite was the only seared part of this meal. Maybe thats why it took an hour to arrive in a packed restaurant. Coupled with the cold coffee and forced min tip of 18%, I cannot recommend this place more if you are over 100 years old with burned taste buds and want to pay way too much for borderline highway robbery.

The manager of this restaurant is extremely rude and unprofessional. The staff are very rude, the service was awful and there was a hair in the dish, and all we got was a sorry, my spouse got food poisoning 10/10 do NOT recommend.

On June 8, 2024 we took our family of 6 for brunch. I ordered menu item: 1 lb. King crab for $109.00. The crab was previously frozen, and served cold. The flesh was salty and spongey which indicated to me it must have been old. The bill was 488.00 for our party and to be served seafood that was cold, spongey flesh and the shell was so soft and flexible was such a turn off. The accompaniments were only a spoonful of diced potatoes and beans and carrots that were overcooked. For such prices the boathouse was a rip off. We have been going there several times hoping that the food would improve but one thing always remains consistent, this type of review. Too bad the food wasnt as good as the view and location.

Its a Boat House so you know what youre getting - consistent, uninspired but pretty good, iffy on value and service is hit or miss. Have your birthday here, take your parents - its a safe bet for a crowd. The hash with the eggs Benny for brunch is excellent but I want more on the plate - they should note there are mushrooms in it for allergies though. Dietary restrictions: Was able to get my Benny gluten free

My partner and I came here for a larger group party for a birthday and the service was so lovely. We were served by Tina and another server, unfortunately I didn t get her name. The both of them delivered absolutely exceptional service, beyond expectations. The food was also delicious. Wish I could leave 6 start review.

This location is spectacular. Amazing sunset from the deck. We started with a shrimp cocktail and a dozen oysters, then added a delicious steak and a halibut plate. The park was busy, so go early to get a parking spot.

We learned of this restaurant due to its location, prompting my wife to make a reservation for a Saturday at 8:30 am. Arriving a bit early, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated promptly at a table on the patio. We ordered lamb and tuna, and the food prepared by the chef was truly delightful. Unfortunately, my espresso martini was missing vodka. We encountered a server named Mia who displayed rude behavior and lacked proper customer service skills. Despite our efforts to handle the situation calmly, she persisted in demonstrating unprofessionalism and a poor attitude. In an attempt to avoid further conflict, we decided to deal with another staff member, seeking a more positive experience. However, Mia returned and engaged in an argument with us. It is advisable to steer clear of Mia to ensure a pleasant dining experience and maintain a sense of safety.

I will start by saying that our server, Queenie was lovely and our made the overall experience better, otherwise my rating would be 1 star. That said, the staff (specifically other lady servers working on shift today around 5 pm) need immediate training on their overall attitude and customer experience. The 2 ladies working with alongside our server seemed absolutely miserable to be there and when my mom asked one for water, she acted like we were troubling her. She rolled her eyes and instead of getting us water, she left to clean another table and eventually we asked Queenie for water. The food was just ok but if you re going to spend this much money on basic food and horrible attitude from the employees, you re better off eating at Cactus or Earls.

Absolutely terrible reserved a table drive all the way from chilliwack and couldnt find any parking then we got there and drove around we called and said yeah it will be busy due to a festival god for bid they lets us know before hand very disappointed. Never going back!

Quite expensive. And and variety not up to the standard. Food

The quality of the food was not bad, but the service and manner of providing services were terrible. We waited for 40 minutes just for someone to ask what we wanted to eat. During this waiting time, no one even asked if we wanted water! After ordering, we waited another 30 minutes for the food to arrive, by which time we were almost no longer hungry, and it was very late. They did give us a free dessert to make up for the poor management, so I am adding one star for that. I believe there is room to improve the management and customer satisfaction.

This used to be one of our go to restaurants. Over the past few years, the menu continues to be paired down and our favorites have been dropped.

Interesting place. Everything seems to have been liked, but the waiters take longer than usual to bring the dishes and do not take away the already used dishes at all. The food is delicious. But 1 dish did not correspond to what was written. Lobster soup, but they brought just a very thin cream soup without lobster at all. Vegetarian options: I ordered vegetarian seafood soup! I recommend it, its delicious! Lobster soup is not! There are no fish at all.

My go-to place for family birthdays. Lovely view and lovely staff. Food is not salty and thats a huge plus!!

We went on a Monday evening, so it wasn t busy. Sever was very nice and our food came out quickly. The lobster and crab ravioli was very good. The calamari was yummy. Tuna poke bowl need more dressing/sauce. Very dry. Everything else was mediocre. Cactus club has better food with similar prices (just a poorer atmosphere). If the Boathouse improved their food, we would go often. Such a lovely place to look out over the water.

I was ambivalent about coming to this location after a bad experience years ago, but my husband convinced us to come for my birthday. Most of the food was good, but the king crab was a little dry, which I doubt they could change because it s not in season so they could only cook from frozen. One thing that bugged me was that the server kept placing things in between our kids sitting across from us, including hot soup, sharp steak knife, and my birthday cake. The other thing is that I ordered the set menu that comes with clam chowder and crème brûlée. However, at the end of the night when we asked for the dessert, they told us they ran out 30 minutes ago. They offered another dessert on the menu but I ordered the set specifically for crème brûlée because it s my favourite. I asked if they could do an IOU for another night but the manager refused. The server should ve told me at the beginning when I was ordering the set menu then I would ve chosen something else or they should ve seen that my order comes with the crème brûlée and put one aside for me. After these negative feelings I now associate with this location, I would rather drive further to the New West location.

I came here in a pinch as I had my sleeping baby in the car with my sister. It was 11 in the morning and there was no one in the restaurant. I asked the hostess if i could please use the washroom and one said of course and the other said no, there is no public washroom. I said please I will be very quick i have my baby in the car sleeping. She proceeded to say no there is a bathroom across the park .. and that her manager was there and he would be angry if she let me. Really???? It s a washroom in an empty restaurant. Appalled at this type of service. Will never go back.

Took my husband and kids out for Father s Day and was extremely disappointed with the brunch and set menu. The eggs benny that I attempted to eat was almost tooth breaking hard. I think the muffin and bacon had been under the heat lamp for hours. My husband ordered the Benny trio and left the lox as it didn t look fresh. My kid s meal was bigger and better looking than mine and in fact they commented how wee my dish was. The fries were good. We opted for The Boathouse thinking the food would be equivalent to Joeys and the view better. The view was nice but as per above, the food very disappointing especially for the price. The Hard Bean up the street has better value and better food and is a quick walk to a gorgeous view.

We were there to celebrate Father s Daty a day ahead. Not quite happy right from the beginning. We ordered water and the discover one cup of water was not clear. There were some fuzzy lint in the cup of water. We request it to change and then the next cup of water had lipstick on the rim of the glass. So again, we requested to have a changed. Then the third cup was fine, but at this point we were nervous how clean this restaurant is. Our appetizers came and it tasted delicious. Then our mains came but they did not clear the appetizer dishes. Our table was crammed with the entrees and the finished appetizer dishes. I find that weird. My husband ordered steak and no steak knife was given. Then the server came to replace with clean utensils and a steak knife-and finally cleared the table. Other than that the food was good but will need to improve on the cleanness June 28th- The Manager called me to follow up and apologize for the experience. Things do happen and it was busy. I am happy that they called to follow up and told me that they will work on the cleanliness. Nobody s perfect and we all make mistakes. As long they own up to their mistakes and improve, that is what it is important. After this courtesy call, I will give them a try again, their food is definitely good :)

What a disaster. We were a party of 8, 6 adults and 2 children for mothers day lunch, one week before the actual mothers day. Food took a long time to come out, even though the dining room was mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon. Finally we received one small bread basket for 8 hungry people, and had to ask for another. We were there because moms favourite dish is cioppino, which is a seafood stew. Dont order it - you will regret it! The volume of the bowl was mostly taken up by half a small crab in shell, some mussels still in their shells, with about 1cm of salty liquid. Why bother giving bread if there is no liquid? I dont think it was worth $58. Others in our party had broiled fish dishes that were underseasoned. I had the chicken dish, well cooked, but the vegetables that came with it were swimming in oil. But the kicker is, I am writing this day after, with a majorly painful sore throat. Im not the only one. Most of us adults are sick except for one person who ordered the salad. Never again. We shouldve gone to Joe Fortes.

I was very impressed with oir experience at the Port Moody Boathouse. We were there celebrating my husbands birthday with family from out of town, and were looking for great seafood in an upscale atmosphere. The Boathouse was the perfect fit. The portions were large, the seafood was fresh and delicious. I recommend the salmon that comes with the 3 course meal. The crème brulee is the best I have EVER tasted! The server was very attentive but also left us alone when he could see we werent interested in being engaged, which I really appreciate as well. I could say more about the view and ambiance, but those are a given with the location. Overall I would highly recommend the Boathouse, especially if you are visiting from out of town or new to the area Wheelchair accessibility: We were travelling with someone with mobility issues and were able to find wheelchair accessible parking without too much trouble

I went to Boathouse Port Moody for my birthday with my baby and my friend. Unfortunately as soon as we walked in the hostess didnt even say hi to us and we wanted to be seated in the patio and she said you have to wait 20 minutes as its full. I had to go check it out my self and patio was empty and there was only one family seating. Not sure why she was so rude to us. I have a baby and I cant handle someone lying to me as its really hard to wait for that long with a baby. I talked to the manager and he right away sat us. When we wanted to order we ordered coffee and cake and we asked that we want them at the same time. She brought the coffee and no cake. The waitress left and didnt come back for a long time. Finally she came with our mini burgers and the cake which was too late. Food was extremely cold and we wanted to tell the waitress and again she disappeared. My friend was choking from the fries and noone was there to give us water. I told the waitress its my birthday and there was not even a candle on the cake. We were so mad that we just had to leave and not eat food there. Coffee was disgusting. The drips of the coffee was all over the cup. So disgusting. I called the manager but unfortunately he was as rude as all the other staff and he even argued with me. I really want my full money back from that disaster we had at this restaurant. I dont recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Our recent dinner at Boathouse Port Moody left much to be desired. Despite the picturesque location, the service was incredibly slow. We waited an eternity for someone to take our order, and even longer for our food to arrive at the table. To add insult to injury, by the time our food finally arrived, it was almost closing time, leaving us feeling rushed and unable to fully enjoy our meal. Although the staff attempted to rectify the situation by bringing a free dessert , it ultimately did little to salvage the experience. The lack of attentiveness from the staff was noticeable, and it significantly detracted from what should have been a special occasion. While the food eventually arrived, it failed to impress. Overall, our anniversary dinner at Boathouse Port Moody was thoroughly disappointing. Regrettably, based on this experience, we cannot recommend it to others for special occasions. We hope they can address these issues to provide a more enjoyable dining experience for their customers in the future.

Our server Emily was awesome! We came on mother s day and despite how busy it was, she was always on top of check-ups and refills and we never felt like she rushed the service. She had a great cheerful demeanour and did her best to make us feel taken care of! 5/5 for her. The commitment to seat numbers (by all FOH staff) was also impressive! The food was good, definitely on the pricier side (Mother s day had a $65/pp mandatory 3-course meal plan). We don t recall ever being told there was a meal plan; it was only when Emily told us while ordering that we were informed. Definitely was a bummer since there were menu items that we wanted to try but weren t offered that day. The lobster bisque was nice, and the Creme Brûlée was amazing! The food did take long to arrive (compared to other restaurants).

Terrible service and food was mediocre. When our main meals came we had to request cutlery for the rice dish and fries. Also no bowl for shells or additional side plates provided with the seafood tower. Server did not inform us kids meal didn t come with a sundae and it was additional $5. I would have expected more for this establishment.

Our dragon boat team dropped in after practice for a drink. We sat near the bar and could watch the playoffs on the TVs. Service was friendly and prompt. I got a cocktail which was refreshing, and I shared a few Parmesan fries with a friend - they were quite good. Lovely views of the water from the window tables. I appreciated them taking the ten of us with no reservation, and we had a nice night out.

We used to go here frequently, but we now have to rethink our future visits. Everything was fine until they decided to turn the volume on the TVs to full blast. They claim the order comes from their corporate office that if even one person wants the TV sound on, they have to do this. This made for a very unpleasant experience.

Dont go. Its too expensive and the portion size is too small. We bought the most expensive one for $62... but thats all we got, a bunch of shrimp, half an empty crab, and a piece of salmon... Im really disappointed. I wont go again.

Went to this location with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Our server Tara was very attentive and had a great personality. The atmosphere is beautiful and food was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised with our experience.

The location is really nice, overlooking the sea. The food was okay. I didn t feel that I like the trio and not recommend it. I also tried the sausages and was not happy with it. The 3cheese omelette was however good and taste nice.

Starters were the Dynamo Shrimps with the boom boom sauce. From the name, I was expecting something with a kick, unfortunately not. Never mind, the shrimps were great on their own. The mains were the Northwestern seafood pasta....today it was linguine...the pleasant surprise being the amount of seafood that you get...the prawns were amazing. A touch more olive oil and it would have been perfect. I had wanted to go for a fish, locally caught, but most seemed to be from the Atlantic!

Regular good white people food

The restaurant located in a good location. It is beside the ocean and if you sit on any ocean view table, you will have lovely time, especially at sunset and night when the lights are on. The food was just Ok, and it wasn t that yummy that I was expected. The price was not expensive but in comparison with the food taste and the way of serving.

This was my first time at the Port Moody boathouse, I had no idea it was rcen there. The scenery alone is one of the best parts. My server was very friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing.

Very disappointed. Dont call a place The Keg or Boathouse if youre not going to live up to either. My niece took my sister and I for a treat. We tried but the mixed grill for $48 dollars was terrible. The rice was boring and like the microwave bags, there were 2 prawns and one average size scallop, the salmon was okay, the crab stuffed prawns didnt have crab that I could find and they were like the frozen ones you can buy anywhere. The veggies were good. My niece had the Mac & Cheese tortellini, she said the sauce tasted like fake cheese. All in all for $200 dollars for 3 people the service was good, View was good, food was terrible. I read reviews on the mixed grill but thought it cant be that bad, its the Boathouse. Wont be back

Excellent fine dining. Staffs were very respectful and helpful in suggesting recommendations, especially for the seafood. Place was busy on Friday evening and tables for 5 and more were only available on the side where sun setting brightly shined the place. Must have calamari and blackened salmon. Parking: Friday evening is a little difficult to find space but still available. There is option for parking space near the sky train within reasonable walking distance.

The food is actually pretty good. But. This is a quote from their website: Featuring sustainable seafood the only salmon available is Farmed Atlantic salmon. Not sustainable. And gross. For a BC seafood restaurant thats inexcusable. Food : 2/5

We had a booking for 22 people for a 90th birthday party. We went to see the manager to discuss what we wanted and were we would like to be seated. We arrived ! There were only 4 tables that people were sitting at. The area that we discussed with the manager wasnt even the area we requested ! We were seated in the corner NO VIEW looking at a blank wall, with fireplace way above up high, which by the way wasnt even turned on for us ! Water glasses had been out sitting on the table for God knows how long ! The fish and chips was terrible! All batter and doughy, fish was sliced so thin omg. Fries were stone cold, coleslaw was uneatable dark in color had been sitting out for hrs ! Clam chowder was cold ! The eggs were under cooked. Only 1 person said there was hot and was e joyable ! We will never go back there again ! Nor will any of the 22 people that attended this dreadful birthday party. Well it took the manager weekend to call me back re the terrible time we had @ the boathouse! His excuse was sorry I was out of town on holidays ! He never even offered us a complementary brunch or dinner for 2 people, can you believe it ? Extremely unprofessional and should be reviewed by senior management! Well thought wed take this 1 step further, called the CORPORATE HEAD OFFICE in the USA, talked to a nice lady in regards to our situation in depth ! She was appalled ! She said that shed let upper management know asap and that someone would get back to us in a few days. Well its been 2 weeks NOT A CALL BACK nothing ! Its all about getting OUR money people, stay away from this cash grab company !

Cioppino was bad, hardly any broth. Fish in it was cold and dry. My wife s tuna poke was sent back as the tuna was warm and therefore suspect. Server was excellent and no complaint. The atmosphere is lovely. This is the second disappointing experience here. I went to the website below as directed by the owner but it appears only American addresses are accepted. Pretty hard to give feedback that way!

I recently made a reservation for a group of 15 people, for a family birthday/anniversary celebration. The earliest time available was at 8:00pm. As our group arrived to the restaurant, we were told that the table that was earmarked for us had been occupied by another party which had been there for 3.5 hours. Apparently, the restaurant has no policy on length of table use. We waited another 10-15 minutes, hoping the restaurant management would step in and inform the previous group to settle up, or making alternative arrangements for us. At this point, we were told another table had been set up for us. This turned out to be 2 separate tables with an aisle in between us, which is not what our reservation stipulated. I asked the two people at the front desk to look into alternative arrangements, as this wasn t working for us. We were told we could be relocated after the original table was cleared. Nothing happened for another 40 minutes. The other party showed no signs of leaving and we were in limbo, not getting served while waiting. Finally, the staff scrambled together several other tables to make a large one for our group. Our party was served our first refreshments at 8:50 (8:00 reservation). The food and the server assigned to our table were both very good, salvaging the rest of our evening. However, I am deeply disappointed at the poor planning and lack of action on the part of the management. It tainted our experience at, what is otherwise, a consistently great restaurant.

Fantastic options for the 3-course Dine Out Vancouver menu. Quiet evening for the restaurant so no issues parking, getting a window table and attentive service. Not the biggest fan of the calamari but the rest of my family really enjoyed it. Friendly staff .

Overall its not bad or bad The taste was bland and I sprinkled a lot of salt on it. The creme brûlée for dessert was delicious

We did the 3 course meal deal but were disappointed the quality was not as good as previous visits - chewy and undercooked steak, hardly any actual calamari in the calamari, undercooked veg and sloppy presentation. Server kind of rushed our service and we felt they were not as attentive as usual

A quite, stylish and spacious restaurant with great service and decent food! We two came for the dine out menu last time. The lobster bisque tasted rich with seafood flavor fully integrated, although a little salty for me. The coconut cod tasted like Southeast Asian food which is not my thing, while the sirloin+seafood dish is super delicious with the toppings flavour similar to creamy mushroom soup. The portion of food was large for us, since we usually have light dinner. Hence we ended up taking the deserts back home.

Stopped by during Dine Out as we d always wanted to try this place. Sadly it didn t live up to expectations. We had a reservation, but still had to wait for a table. Half the restaurant was empty so it s a staffing issue. The Dine Out options weren t that great for $65. Maybe $55 for the portion sizes. They seated us on the patio, but I guess since there were no other customers they didn t turn the heat on. We would ve mentioned it had the servers come around ever. We also indicated on the reservation that it was for a birthday. This was not recognized at all, not even just saying happy birthday. Lastly the tip machine charges you based on the total amount including taxes, which really just sums up everything you need to know about this place.

Like a less good Milestones but more expensive. Long gaps in service. Food is subpar. Location is nice during the daylight hours.

We had a party of 20 and the manager Derek was polite and very accommodating and Mya our waitress was fast helpful and very efficient. Thankyou for making our evening such a success. Our guests were all very happy with all the choices and the results. TK.

Food was just okay. My Lobster Bisque appetizer was luke-warm at best and all 3 of my drinks were flat which was extremely disappointing. The stars would be lower however we really enjoyed our server.

Went to have a appetizers and drinks, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised it was happy hour until we got our order and the appetizer was half the amount of what would normally be presented therefore costing us more than if we had ordered off the regular menu. Happy hour price $12 (with 2 parts) regular price $19 (with 4 parts). Not impressed!

WOW!!!!!! Unbelievable Unprofessional . LIARS!!!!! Made reservations for Valentine s Day long before the 14th . When I called I asked about their fixed menu clarifying we would be able to order from regular menu. I was told yes! Absolutely! As I have some dietary restrictions and Valentines menu could not accommodate them. I was contacted bia text the day before confirming our reservation . I replied yes! In fact we were looking forward to it!! Well we arrived . Only to be seated and then told the only menu was the fixed one and that all people who made reservations were called. FALSE NO one called !! The server went and spoke to the manager and was told . Sorry . But no can do the manager never came to speak to us .. in fact our server was embarrassed with the lack of customer service . And lack of professionalism from manager!!! Never will they get a dime from me .. never will I recommend this place that has been a favourite for years!!! Disgusting .. I got up and walked out . A shout out to Natalie who tried her best!

Very disappointing Valentines dinner. Our clue when we walked in on Valentines day with our reservation, was the restaurant was not even half full it was pretty dead considering the day. We used to be in the restaurant industry, it was ALWAYS the busiest night of the year, next to that is Mothers day. I ordered the mixed seafood grill, big mistake. Hubby ordered the sirloin and lobster tail. My salmon was overcooked and the two prawns and one scallop on the skewer were extremely overcooked. Seafood restaurants should know how to cook seafood. Our server Zach, brought me another salmon fillet, it was better. The skewers should NOT be precooked as it only takes a few minutes to grill, but they were precooked as they were also ice cold, not acceptable at $80. We received our appetizers, Ceasar salad and ahi tuna tacos, our dinners showed up a few minutes later so we rushed through our appetizers. I asked the person that brought our dinners, why the rush, she looked at me like she didnt speak English and didnt really care. Good servers observe to see if the appetizers are almost done to time the main course correctly. I also ordered a red sangria with half ice, my drink was pretty much half ice and half drink when it arrived, not sure what I would have got if I didnt order it with half ice. The best part of dinner was the salad, the dressing wasnt homemade and no hint of garlic whatsoever, it was presented nicely. I dont think Ive ever had Ceasar salad without garlic, very odd. We both had cheese cake for dessert. It was not fresh, the edges of the cheese cake was dry and starting to show age. Dineout Vancouver $65 was a far better menu with allot more choices compared to their Valentines menu at $80, very disappointing, especially everything on this menu was on Dineout for less and allot more to choose from. . This was our first time at this location, and probably our last. We live in Richmond, but our shop is in Port Moody and decided to try something different in Port Moody. From the time we were seated and in our car, it was an hour. I dont think weve ever had a dinner so rushed, never coming back. Why is there no option to post pictures? My pictures will show you the edges of our cheese cake was aged, probably sliced in the morning. We went there for the first time on Valentines day, even though the atmosphere was good and good location of the restaurant, the food was mediocre and we asked for the dessert to be packed to go when opened the boxes faced this weird and improper packing!!! They just tossed the cake the cream brulee into the containers!

We made reservations for four, 2 weeks in advance to ensure seating at the Port Moody location. When we spoke with the restaurant, we inquired specifically about the menu as it was going to Valentines Day and we knew that often there is a fixed menu and my wife has several allergies. We were told that there would be no problem ordering from the regular menu. When we arrived to the restaurant we were told that it was not an option. They said they phoned all the people who reserved to let them know that the menu was a fixed menu. LIES!!! The absolutely did not phone us to let us know this. They did however call to make sure we were still coming but failed to mention the change. Our server was quite uncomfortable, very apologetic and tried to make things right by offering to modify things on that menu. You cant modify 90 % of a menu that already has those ingredients in it and it was clear that was not going to be possible. The lack of professionalism came through loud and clear when she went to see the manager and he sent her back to deal with us and didnt even come over to our table. In fact when my friend left the restaurant she saw him and voiced her concern about the service and why he didnt even come to the table. Imagine his response... I didnt know I had to and I was busy seating customers. So she asked him isnt that what the 3 hostesses are here for? I made a phone call while still at the Boathouse to The Keg in Maple Ridge. We are grateful for their team of excellent staff who were able to get us in for a meal within 30 minutes. We will not be returning to The Boathouse in Port Moody, nor will we ever recommend them. When you are spending hard earned money on already overpriced restaurant prices, they should be providing better service at the very least. They definitely cant have my money.

Was there today on Friday evening and celebrated Valentine s Day with my husband. Our server initially looked and sounded friendly. But she literally just vanished after taking our order. The food was ok but very pricy. The server took away the basket for the bread without asking for a refill (we would have paid for another if it s not complimentary). We finished our drinks and were not asked if we wanted another. We were served with teaspoon to eat. Reported all this to the manager, and apparently the server has been working at the location for 8 years and this never happened. I guess we got lucky. Got free chowders and we tip no one and the bill was still $125 for two with chowders discounted already. We won t be back

The restaurant is nice. High ceilings and big windows, with a view of the water. We ordered calamari and the ceviche to start. The calamari looks impressive when it shows up but its mostly veggies on a bed of noodles with very little calamari. It has some kind of orange sauce on it which would be better served in a ramekin on the side. The ceviche tasted good but there isnt much there. Not worth the cost. I had the seared ahi tuna. The tuna was good but the rice it was served on was not. It was hard, like it was scraped from the bottom of the pot. My wife had the lobster ravioli and enjoyed it. The deserts were good but the cheese cake is not cheese cake. The thing that made our experience bad was the service. Once our appetizers came out, our server disappeared. We were half way through the appetizers when our main course was brought out and just dropped on the end of the table. (The mains shouldnt come out until the appetizers are finished.) We also wanted wine with our meal but because our server was non existent, no one asked us. After dinner our server reappears to clear the table wich still had our appetizer dishes on it. We felt rushed and ignored at the same time. This was supposed to be a nice date night after a long difficult week. We should have gone to Milestones. We wont be coming back.

Manager at this location is utterly rude. Please train your staff better so that they have better attitudes and do not take out their angry emotions on your valued customers.

Went for our Company Christmas lunch Ordered the Steak and Lobster Thermidor with Lobster Bisque. The Bisque was amazing and the Steak was excellent however the Lobster Thermidor was definitely not up to snuff No lobster was visible. Server was apologetic but for the price I expect at least a few visible chunks of lobster. Not at all like the Lobster Thermidor Ive seen.

Great location, top notch service and great food. Had miso halibut, and it was perfectly cooked and flavorful.

The worst experience in this restaurant. We ordered calamari, there was 4-5 tiny piece of calamari, mixed with vegetables. We also ordered Ravioli which was tasted like omelette. Waste of money. Not recommended.

Went here recently and was VERY surprised at how good it was. I wrote off Boathouse years ago as it was overpriced and lacked flavour. My most recent visit showed me it was (still) pricy, but the food lived up this time. Views and decor are fantastic. My only complaint is the local beer they have on tap is from Vancouver Island. They are surrounded by 5 amazing breweries and not stocking their products is an insult to the community they live in. I understand they are a corporate store, but that s not an excuse. You shouldn t be allowed to operate this close to brewers row without supporting local.

Me and my wife went to the boathouse for a birthday dinner for her aunt. There was a mixup with the reservation and it was made for another location (not the fault of the Port Moody location) they had tables rdy for a group of 12 for the time of our reservation, even when the dinning room was full. I felt the staff and general manager went above and beyond to make the night as good as it could be. Food was excellent and our servers always made sure we were happy. Thank you to the staff at the Port Moody location for doing everything possible to make me and my wife have a great night.

High prices with small portions. If you want value for your $$ skip this chain restaurant. $48.50 for a tiny piece of salmon and overcooked shellfish (4 prawns and 1 scallop) on their mixed grill. DO NOT order their calamari as there is a only few dime sized pieces in a dish filled with crispy noodles and deep fried strips of veggies. Will not be returning. Sure the view is beautiful and thats what youre paying for. These guys are owned by a large company in Texas, was impossible to reach anyone at Head Office. Next time, I will do a little more research and support a local business instead.

The venue is stunning The staff is doing is best, I probably came on a day that was hard for them as they look unhappy and doing bare minimum The food this time was lacking flavors in one specific dish The poached eggs. Not the experience I had before in fairness the other dishes were good.

This year, we picked the Boathouse for our Christmas staff party. The service was excellent, with the exception of not being offered bread until we asked nor tea/coffee after dinner. The food was good, though not outstanding like in the past. Unfortunately, the Christmas ambiance felt lackluster as there was no music on. Overall, it was a decent experience, but some improvements could have enhance the festive feel.

This place has really improved in the last year. You can see it in all areas, cleaner bathrooms, professional service, good food, cold drinks. Keep up the good work!

We had an excellent evening at the Port Moody Boathouse tonight. Talias service was phenomenal and so was the truffle butter chicken.

It was lobsterfest! We both had lobster tails but we don t think it was actually lobster ? Maybe crayfish? Very small portions and no taste. Steak was cooked perfectly but a little over seasoned . Lobster bisque was tasty but luke warm. Server was very nice but made a few mistakes and it took 45 minutes to receive our bill. We always considered the Boat House a premium restaurant but we were very disappointed in the quality for the high cost of this experience. Not liking to return.
