Aroy Thai Kitchen is a family-owned small restaurant located in Port Moody at Rocky Point Centre. We have been building our good reputation on offering the freshest ingredients and cooking delicious dishes as of 'AROY' is 'DELICIOUS' in Thai word. At Aroy Thai Kitchen, fresh vegetables are handpicked daily from local produce market. We use organic tofu, skinless, boneless chicken breast; along with all other ingredients have been specially selected for each dish and prepared from scratch. The same care goes into making our sauce, salad dressing, roasting ingredients, squeezing juice, and hand-rolling our popular spring rolls. All the preparations are done daily in the kitchen.
This restaurant serves wonderful Thai food. Unfortunately, since covid, it is no longer a dine-in place. The food is always excellent, and the owners are always glad to see you. They take great pride in their work and deliver a great meal to go. I highly recommend Aroy Thai kitchen for your Thai food cravings !!!
This is a Port Moody culinary hidden gem. Family run, top quality delicious Thai food with the freshest and most flavourful spices and ingredients that will leave your tastebuds longing for more.
This is someone’s business, no one likes low ratings. With that said , we had to get take out for 2 because there were no dine in option. After we started eating, I said to my wife, I feel angry with each bite, the food just had no love or taste. All I could taste is the msg, salt, spice and anger for what ever the chef is angry at. I hope more love and respect for the cuisine can be focused on. Will come back to try in a while to see if comments actually mean anything to this establishment.
Very disappointing food. Zero authenticity to Thai food. Just a whole bunch of vegetables with a small amount of protein. I ordered kee mao noodles but they used pad Thai noodles. The gap row tasted identical to the kee mao. Just like soy sauce and fish sauce. Nothing else. Worst Thai food I have ever eaten and not cheap. 2 dishes $50 for take out. Will not be returning.
I don't know if they used to make good pad Thai at some point but this tasted nothing like Pad Thai and I've been to Thailand. Didn't even taste like a basic Canadian version, no tamarind taste no sweetness to it or acidity. Had to have been one of the worst I've ever tried in Canada. Very sad....and I never bother to write reviews. Please do better to represent Thai food.
Was very disappointed by the quality of the food. It looked much better than it tasted. The coconut rice was mushy, the satay was covered in a curry sauce and the peanut sauce was meh. The Phad Thai was awful. I may not even finish my leftovers
Welcoming and clean space, very helpful personnel. Not sure the price reflects the level of cuisine ingredients. Overall nice but will not come back.
Good, tasty Thai food. Default is quite spicy, but they can make mild. Chairs are weird.
Nothing to write home about food was alright Dietary restrictions: They said the curry and pad Thai was gluten free Food : 3/5 |
Authentic Thai food. Usually order the combo menu for two and every time the flavours are just awesome. Tried all their curries and you cannot beat the red and green curries.
Excellent Thai Vegan Curry
Parking: Parking was good and wheelchair accessible too!
Really good, authentic Thai food
Great taste! Perfect amount of spice, sour and sweetness. Pad Thai was die for! It taste like a real Thai food, not like western food. Highly recommended!
Fantastic pad Thai. Best Thai spot in the lower mainland.
Great food. Great customer service. My mom has an allergy to peppers and they have always been so great about, well, not killing her. And just making sure things are safe for her to eat. One of my favorite Thai places in the lower mainland.
Food was pretty unimpressive. Pad Thai was especially bad. Prices are high compared to quality. Ordered via DoorDash.
Delicious food with excellent handling of the covid19 safe distancing policy. Would highly recommend.
The pad Thai is disgusting. Has no sauce and tastes like vomit.
Ordered the pad thai, yellow curry and spring rolls, all were delicious. Some noted the Pad Thai is vinegary, I am not a chef (or even a foodie), but I think this comes from the tamarind paste used which is the traditional way of making it, others use ketchup or other substitutes. Anyway could be wrong, none the less, great food.
Been here a few times for takeout. I love their pad thai and green curry, it is light and extremely flavourful. I stopped by last night to get takeout for my Mom and I and again, it did not disappoint and the service is AMAZING!
Their Cashew Chicken & Red Thai Curry are most excellent. Friendly owners and will visit again when in the mood for Thai food.
Great hot food. Ive had the spring rolls, the red chicken curry, and some sort of a vegetarian soup with a hint of coconut milk. All were excellent! Friendly staff and owners.
This place is like youre back in thailand. Great food
Food and staff: both great!
After living and eating in Vancouver for years, it makes me so happy to have found a Thai restaurant here in the heart of Port Moody! The food is delicious, service is fast, and the owner and staff are super friendly! Definitely keep Aroy Thai on your radar if you are a Thai food fan! I will be coming back again and again!
Love their food!
Best Thai in the tri-cities. Everything tastes fresh and flavourful as Thai cuisine should.
Great food, very kind staff. All around a good place to order your thai dinner !!
Fantastic, fresh, tasty food. Great people.
Fast service. Reasonable price. Good food. No desert available at the time. They had run out.
Love the Cashew Nut with Tofu!!
Great food and great staff. They are awesome with kids.
Thought I try the place out given good reviews. Truly bizzar experience. They said the chef is gone and menu is limited. Took the order for what little they had. Okay, fair enough, but you could see something is off in the kitchen, with a cook yelling. When the food arrived, I couldnt help but ask where is out fried rice, to which the response was they dont have any!! Cook yells out no rice left. Okay? The gra pao basil, also had no basil, to which theg said theres only one leaf left. The cook was rude, and unapologetic, the waitress appologized but it was a really bad experience. Clearly troubled that night, and should have closed shop when they couldnt cater.
The best Thai food in the Tricities
After a quick Google search my girlfriend and I decided to try out Aroy for dinner and we were not disappointed! The food was quick and very tasty pair that with the super friendly staff and Aroy might have just become a staple Thai resturant to eat at. We joked after ordering spring rolls, salad, two dishes, and coconut rice that we would have plenty leftovers. We ended up eating everything that was put in front of us with enjoyment. We talked with the staff for a few minutes before getting our bill and never once felt rushed even though it was almost 9pm. Thank you for the great food!
The food is far from being thai.. More like Chinese. . Very expensive and low quality. The service is the worst that one could imagine. . The owner is extremely rude. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one...
Good portions and taste
Clean place with really good food
This is our favourite Thai place in the area. They are always very friendly and have a clean kitchen. Their aroy special curry and cashew chicken are great
Great place to have Thai food.
When living in Dublin, Ireland I came into a local group of restaurants which had been certified Authentic by the Thai government; never knew that existed. Over my 2+ years in the area, I had come to love their food. When I left, I wondered if any of my favourite Thai places in Vancouver would compare. Sadly, they did not...until last night. I had ATK on my list of restaurants to try after my occassional hikes in the Buntzen area, and I thank the powers that be for leading me. I could not have been happier with the meal and family-style warmth of the service here. Defo, I will be back.
The last time I visited Aroy Thai all I could say is why havent I been back sooner? With the plethora of restaurants in the YVR region, it can sometimes to be tempting to try somewhere new constantly but Aroy Thai is a restaurant to add to your regular rotation. The staff is friendly and the food is authentic. The curry is the best Ive ever had (that includes multiple trips in Thailand). I recommend the Aroy and Panang curries which are that holy mix of sweet, salty, spicy and sour. If you like Thai food, you wont be disappointed.
there it tastes delicious, pleasant space & service, portions could be larger but the meal is so much tasty
Great customer service, very friendly staff every time I go in there. The food is always fresh and this is very important to them. I had ordered the Pad Thai one time and someone had accidentally put day old chicken in the dish without the owner knowing, they called me and told me and offered a free meal the next time I went in. Which I did go in a week or two later and she gave both my meal and my husbands for free along with our drinks. It just goes to show you how important their product is.
Great Service, always friendly, great atmoshpere. Highly recommended.
Good place for a hot Thai dinner, the staff make you feel like family.
Delicious, one of my favourite Thai restaurants. Authentic Thai spice levels, soo good.
Delicious!
If youre looking for authentic, delicious thai food this is where you need to go! the food is made from scratch, its fresh, nutritious and I love the fact they dont add any msg or other harmful ingredients to the food. As a holistic wellness practitioner and a foody, this place is one of my favorites...the service is excellent, prices are reasonable and the flavours are fantastic! Two thumbs up from me.
