Excellent service, awesome food and atmosphere is great, I recommend it to everyone. It is awesome.

Okay lunch. Bison burger was lean and tasty.

Was a bar side seating (1/2) full and L side empty. Put in empty Side. We Ordered pickerel/perch dinners. Came back, out of pickerel, perch only. Said ok. Came back, no mashed potatoes now. Was a one side only. I took baked, he took fries. Fries where cold, baked just warm, four Very Small pieces of Perch full of bones. This meal was $22.99 a dinner. Others came in and were sat on Bar side. I felt like back in Covid. We could tell waitress knew we totally disappointed. If you are out of food, don t screw your customers with this sad excuse of a meal.

We had fish and chips for 2, my husband had the fish tacos and my daughters friend had a burger. We had pop, tequila sunrise and my husband had 2 local amber beers and it was DELICIOUS!!! The service was excellent. We will be back in day for sure!

Foods good service good once we got seated. Unfortunately even with lots of empty tables we were the third group in line to be seated and they werent doing it. Thankfully the two groups ahead got madd and left so we got seated. Nice place we go there often but to have people leaving because they cant even get seated isnt real bright.

I ve been debating whether or not to write this review for a while as I want local, small restaurants/businesses to succeed. However, I feel like it s necessary to share my experience so that other people don t waste their money on such terrible food. While working, I ordered a cheeseburger and fries a couple of weeks ago for takeout. It was BEYOND awful It cost me about $26 for a cheeseburger, fries, and a non-alcoholic drinks with tip. Crazy expensive for what you get! The burger was very obviously a store bought frozen or Sysco frozen angus patty (with those super fine squiggly strings of meat, if you ve ever bought frozen burgers you know what I m talking about). The fries were generic (obviously store bought/Sysco as well) fries and they were legitimately raw. By my estimation they were in the fryer for approx 1 minute (I used to work in a restaurant for 3+ years as a cook). So raw that they were inedible. Why didn t I check the food before I left you ask? The server brought it out to me in a brown bag that was stapled shut. I also figured, how bad can a simple cheeseburger and fries actually be? I returned to my worksite when I discovered the answer to my question. Because I very obviously, wearing my uniform, work for a certain business/corporation in the county, I didn t want to call and complain, but it s been bugging me ever since. The super high prices for incredibly terrible quality food is pretty upsetting. I will 110% never be eating here again and I have been warning all of my coworkers against it as well for when they are in the area.

Very underwhelming. The beer is cheap and cold which was almost the only positive. Had the Perch meal and GF had the perch tacos. 3/5 pieces of perch in the meal were 90%+ just deep fried batter. Only 2 pieces had a reasonable amount of actual fish. GF said the same for her perch in the tacos and that the tortillas were stale. We were seated quickly, but the wait for food was long. They were busy so that can be understandable. Overall, the food was not great, and definitely too expensive for what you get. But if you want some cheap drinks on a patio this is an ok option. Probably won t be back.

Been sitting here for 15 mins after my meal is finished waiting to pay for my dinner. Food was cold and the pizza my daughter order was not even a pizza. The wrap taste like garlic. My husband hamburger was cold. First time coming here. First time to this area and will NEVER EVER come back again Waitress was super rude and didnt bother to bring us our appetizer first either. Would not recommend ever !

Terrible service. No drinks for 20 mins. Ordered apps. They never came. After an hour we decided to leave as no one in the dining room had received any food, some guests there before us. Closing time was 7:45pm but they locked the doors at 6:30 as every table was sat but no food was coming out of kitchen. The only compensation offered was that they told us not to pay for our drinks. We got one Diet Coke & 3 waters! We will never be back.

We had a great experience at the Boat House for an early dinner! It was wing night (Wednesday) and super busy by 5pm. Our server was lovely and attentive and the food was hot and fresh! We enjoyed the wings, Thai chicken bites, sandwich special and shrimp basket. The wine and beer were cold and delicious. We will definitely be back!

We waited for 15 to 20 minutes minutes and no one attended our table. We didnt get water or even the menu. So we left

If youre in Port Rowan its a must to stop here. The inside of the restaurant reminds me that youre sitting inside of a 1800s classic wood sailing vessel. Great staff ad great food.

Seated quickly but needed to go ask if we could be served after waiting 25mins, ordered garlic bread with cheese, came when the no cheese and definitely not worth 9$ for 4 tiny pieces of cross cut bruschetta bread w/garlic butter. Ordered perch meal with poutine, came with no poutine. Took forever, no offer of discount after getting the entire order wrong. Was over 100$ for 2 people. Wont be returning.

Waited over an hour to be served. People seated after us were served first, when speaking to the Manager, she was very rude and did not care. Would not recommend in response to the below This was Friday July 14, 2023 between 610pm and 8pm. Manager did not give a name, looked like she came from kitchen.

Great spot to stop heading home from Port Burwell. Our waitress Madison was fantastic, food (the perch and pickerel recommended) was yummy (perfect batter, not too greasy), and we had excellent views of the marina from the dog friendly patio, which was very comfortable for us and our pup! Would absolutely visit again!!

Was there Thursday afternoon, it was fairly busy so that maybe why service was a bit slow, the fish was good, not great for the price, but what bothers me most is being told fresh cut fries and that not being true

I came here while on vacation in the area. I was greeted by smiling faces and a beautiful old style decor reminiscent of a boat house. True to its name and its tasty food. The food at this place is exactly what it promises to be. I had the burger and French fries. In a sea of fusion cuisine and low fat/raw kind of food, I found the burger tasty and it tasted like a burger that I remember from my childhood. The fries were crispy, large and perfectly made. If you are looking for the best of North Americana kinda food you found your spot!

Stopped by here for lunch on a rainy Tuesday while camping at Long Point. It was a bit busy but we did get seated fairly quickly. It took a little while to get menus and a drink. We ordered as soon as we got the menu. We both ordered the perch meal. I had a Greek salad as my side and my husband had the Lemon Chicken Soup. We werent aware that the Greek Salad was an extra $3. Our food took a very long time to come out and our server informed us that there was something wrong with the fish so they were remaking our order. This was after already waiting 45 mins. We were getting pretty hungry but remained patient since we werent in a rush. Our food finally arrived. Unfortunately my husbands soup was lukewarm. The perch wasnt very flavourful and I kept finding tiny bones in my fish which turned me off of my meal. The salad was fine. I was disappointed and the server said that we should have ordered the cod instead so we wouldnt have to worry about bones. I didnt really think that was the appropriate response. Our meal was not discounted and no form of apology was offered...it was kind of like oh well. The server didnt seem to care how long we waited for the poor quality of food. Im not sure if I would try this place again. They seemed pretty short staffed and everyone was waiting a long time for food or to be seated. A table behind us got up and left after waiting about 10-15 mins to get a menu or a server to attend to them. Also I went to use the washroom which could have used attention. They were completely out of soap and paper towels....which just made me even more frustrated and I couldnt wait to leave. It makes me wonder how the servers or cooks wash their hands after touching everything......gross. This restaurant needs some help... Im not sure if it was just an off day but I could see it being a good place with the right attention.

Had dinner here with a group of friends and we all had a great experience. Everyone was happy with their meals. The best part was our wonderful server Brenda. She was a lot of fun and handled our crazy table of 10 with enthusiasm. Would definitely come back

The vibe felt off and the food was subpar. The waiter said Oh I dont know if we have gluten free bread. Full stop. No followup. Just delivered the plated food with no bread or substitute.

Stopped in here while camping in long point. Due to a firr ban we needed to find an alternate dinner on our 2nd night. They were BUSY! When we got there the hostest/waitress told us it would be a 45 min wait minimum. Not super happy about that but there wasnt really many options for us. However, the service was impeccable and the wait went by faster than expected! We had a 6year old boy with us and they brought him a coloring page and crayons to help pass the time! The food was delicious! One of the tastiest burgers Ive had! Next time we are camping out that way we we definitely be back!

Hosting Behavior Rudeness Awsum location, mind blowing sunset views.Food quality is good ,parking space available. But only disgusting thing is rudeness of staffs and food preparation time. I had my family including toddler checked in at about 7.20 for dinner and ordered food and had been waiting till 8pm with nothing.My kid was hungry no proactive notification from the host.When enquired about the order the guy answered rudely you already came late ,food is getting prepared what can be done,I asked for the kids menu he answered once its ready you will get it. This is totally unacceptable moreover he did not say good bye when we were leaving ,too much rudeness. Sorry for no tips - they don t deserve. Will never go there again. I wish more business to pop up in the area that would be a good lession.

I was there for dinner and needed a table for two. It was a Saturday night and busy as you would expect. We found a table and sat ourselves since nobody was hosting and taking patrons to their tables. I saw people waiting at the door and leaving. Our male waiter was terrible, it took 40 minutes to get our food, no cutlerly and my greek salad had no dressing. We ate fish and it was okay. I think the kitchen was super slow but the does not justify for the staff facing clients to do such a bad job. Do not recommend this restaurant .

The place was nice. Rustic small town vibe which was to be expected. The servers were fast and friendly even when they were super busy. My loss of one star is just because there was nothing much for anyone with dietary restrictions. No gluten free friendly options at all other than a salad.

The food was very good and the service was fine. Where the problem came in was the confusion about the special that I ordered. I figured I was getting a good deal when the special said 3 pc of perch and 3 pc of pikerel. When I got the order it was simply one piece of pikerel cut into 3 pieces. This place had the slowest service and the worst food. We ordered the perch dinner for two of us ,it was over cooked and the fries were obviously cooked in the same old oil. We had visited the boat house once before and had a good experience. This time it was brutal. I dont think Ill be going back....

I had a working lunch here with a colleague last Thursday. The service was quick, the food delicious and our server Beth was super friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good experience, highly recommended!

We stopped here for lunch today. My partner and o each had the fish and chips. We loved every bite. The decor looks like a ships hull. Well done.

Our waitress was very nice and accommodating, my son has issues with gluten and sugar, she had great suggestions to take care of his needs. My only gripe was with the shepherds pie the amount of filling wasnt consistent from pie to pie, but it was good and hot.

Always great food and courteous staff. Our kids love it too. After lunch go for a walk along the harbour.

The fish&chips is great. Both I and my partner consider it as the best weve ever had. The two pieces of beer battered cod are big and thick, very crispy outside, very soft and tender inside. It is served with a very flavourful gravy, we liked the gravy so much that we ordered extra for take away. The portion size is also very large, the two of us were starving and we couldnt finish one portion. Another bonus is that the restaurant is near the beach with benches and picnic tables. Enjoy the food while having a view of the lake, no worries about the virus, is just so amazing.

Interesting location, generous portions. Thumbs up for its Greek salad and perch dinner thats much more bountiful than that served by other places along the northern shore of Lake Erie. Decor has a 1970s vibe. Outdoor patio is small but popular with a view of the towns authentic, rustic recreational boating harbour.

Me and my buddy were out fishing the other day and ended up just out front of the restaurant. We were starving, hadnt eaten all day and my buddy was like I think theres a good place to eat here. So glad we called in for a pick up order. Best chicken fingers combo Ive ever had and the bacon wrapped pickle spears were amazing! Huge servings and great quality food and all in a beautiful package. Well done!!

This lovely local spot offered us some delicious perch on a great sunny patio. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I was very impressed with their Covid precautions, with having hand sanitizer set up and taking contact information for each party, in case they needed to contact you due to an outbreak being discovered after the fact. Would definitely go back

Called for a reservation for dine in and informed them that we have a legal exemption from wearing masks, they refused entry and said they would only serve curbside. Disappointed that this restaurant would choose this route which is discriminating against individuals. We will be taking our business to those who welcome us warmly.

Amazing food!!

We were very disappointed in the customer service provided at the Boathouse. We visited the restaurant on September 2nd, 2020 and the service from our waitress was awful. The servers name was Dharma. She was very unwelcoming as soon as we were seated, she didn t thank us for her tip nor thank us for the visiting the restaurant. She was not enthused to be working. It ruined our meal due to the service. We will not be returning.
