No gluten free options for breakfast, despite there being a sign mentioning gluten-friendly options. I asked the lady working the buffet and she stared at me and said she didn’t understand. She got someone from the front desk to come over who asked if I was looking for bread. I informed him that I was asking about gluten free options and he said they no longer have any. As someone with celiac disease, I made an executive decision to not eat anything from the buffet for the entirety of the trip, as the staff didn’t know what gluten was and getting sick would ruin my business trip. Don’t advertise gluten free options if you don’t have any.
"I checked in today and had the worst customer service experience of my life. I was spoken to condescendingly, belittled, and lied to. I repeatedly requested to speak with a manager due to the employee's rudeness, but was falsely told they were unavailable. Despite claiming to have contacted a manager, no one ever arrived. I also requested to switch the payment card used during the initial check-in, a process I know is possible, but was denied. I am shocked and disappointed by this level of customer service and that this individual represents your company." Like to add that looks like others have had issues with employee and more training needs to happen.
Good amenities, it was clean, quite. Room has microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Bed was cozy, sofa was nice. Toilet was clean with necessary amenities. The shower was nice too. Interior is not bad considering Canadian culture but in terms of international standards, there is room for improvement
By far the best hotel on Prince Albert. I spend a few months here every fall and this hotel blows all others out of the water. Seems to have the least amout of riff raff roaming around, front desk staff go above and beyond, and the rooms are great with very comfortable beds. Hotel bar downstairs is a great touch. For Prince Albert, it doesn't get any better
Great hotel. Very clean rooms with super comfy bed. Good hours for continental breakfast and a great selection on food choices. Glass cups for coffee was an added bonus. ||Loved the shower! ||Hallways were a bit cool for air conditioning but individual rooms were easy to regulate for tempatures.
3 persons travelling for business. The hotel that had been booked was very poor quality so we looked for another hotel. Town was basically sold out. Lucky to get 2 rooms here for 1 st night. Staff at desk AMAZING. Also called later that a room available next night.. they ended up finding us rooms all nights. Done with a smile and courtesy.. having been in the business I know this takes time on the computer. |We ate there each night. Good very good and fresh. Bar server was so sweet|Rooms spacious and clean|What could have been a miserable trip was turned into a lovely experience|We all have to travel extensively. Thank you BW Premier Prince Albert you were great
My husband and I were there for 10 weeks. The staff is absolutely amazing! They definitely made a person feel welcome and so willing to help with anything! The rooms and pool/ hot tub were wonderful. It was nice that the pool is heated. For the first few weeks some of the people outside the hotel were very irritating and hard to deal with. I wish the security was there a bit earlier but it did get better. The breakfast definitely could be changed up more and warmer. If you don't go right when they open then the food will most likely be cold and shriveled from sitting in the warmers. (As they don't slowly add as time goes on they just cook it all at once) but over all it was very nice and accommodating. Definitely the best place to stay in PA that I have heard of or experienced. Thank you guys very much!
It's a great place to stay. It has a nice pool and hot tub. The rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable beds. The free breakfast was a bit below average. We were in for breakfast just after 6 a.m., and the food was cold. I would like to say that the staff working there is absolutely exemplary. They are very eager to help out with any issues you may have. There is nothing more important to having a good stay than great staff.
A wonderful experience and very clean and comfortable rooms loved this place would recommend to all my friends and family.
By far the best hotel in Prince Albert. We came in late and disoriented but were still greeted with a warm welcome. Our receptionist, a nice young lady was very friendly and kind, her service was above and beyond. The room was fantastic with slick modern design. We felt very safe here and our car was kept secure. Thank you Best Western Premier Prince Albert for the most romantic, luxurious night of my travels this autumn!
Two nights and no complaints, i love this place !!
I was there recently with my 2 children and I wanted to mention how the staff were so welcoming. Appreciated the hospitality!
Food and drinks: Best kitchen in Prince Albert. The short rib beef I would recommend. Rooms
The hotel staff really went out of their way for us. We needed late checkout because our car was getting repaired, and they really gave us until the last possible moment. They also allowed our large family to basically take over their lobby, and offered us space in their freezer for our food.
Very friendly and out going staff.
Terrible service. swasteka or whatever her name s refused to pronounce it again or spell it so we could understand. She s very rude and not helpful at all zero patience showin. Simply attempting to make reservations. Should be an easy process. Oh well. We will book somewhere else.
Nice hotel Good location Continental breakfast is like any other hotel not great but it will do in a pinch. Rooms : 3/5
Good hotel choice in Prince Albert. Clean rooms, comfy bed. All the staff were polite and helpful.
Great place to stay at! Super clean and well looked after. Staff are amazing. Will definitely make this a spot to stay on my travels buying equipment!
Stay here when in town for hockey, friendly staff and clean rooms. Included breakfast is good.
The best in PA. Rooms, lobby, staff, pool everything here is awesome.
Def
Please stay here if you want dirty rooms, halls full of dirty laundry(short staffed), no clean towels-evrn for the pool for 12 hrs(too short staffed to do laundry), if you want your reservation lost, if you never want to hear from a manager ,,(as staff can only give out his email that he NEVER responds to). Looks like a beautiful building but WAY overpriced for cleanliness, and service
We stayed at this hotel in December for 2 nights. We came to Prince Albert to visit family and I will never stay here again! The first night was ok but the second night was a complete nightmare! No manager in sight, would not come in under and circumstances. There were drug deals happening and people partying all hours of the night. Kids in the pool with no adult supervision and the hotel workers were no where in sight. We had called down for towels so we could shower and were told they had no clean towels and they would bring us hand towels. 0/10 would not recommend this place.
The hotel room was quiet at night, and staff were friendly. Large Breakfast with hot food and good selection. Exercise room was small, but equipment was modern and in good condition. I would stay here again.
For the second weekend in a row the hotel Is run by kids sports teams. If you plan on relaxing on vacation or after a long day at work then this hotel Isn t for you. I would have left after the events of the previous weekend but I had already paid. I also spoke to the manager and he assured me that this was a one off. Well, that s another lie. Don t stay here under any circumstances as the customer service is ZERO.
I stayed for 8 days in this hotel for work and it was an absolute pleasure! Its very quiet and has a extraordinary breakfast and Specialty coffee maker. They have a quiet little bar area thats perfect for evening suppers. The room I had was quite spacious and had two nice sitting areas for studying or getting extra work done. The bathroom was also very nice. Some of the washrooms have bathtubs but mine had a walk-in shower which was very fancy! 100% would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in a PA. Rooms: The room are very elegant and functional. The beds are extremely comfortable as well as the pillows. They have a nice sitting area with a quaint desk area. Walkability: All of the exit and entrance points on this hotel are wheelchair accessible as well as the indoor areas. The swimming pool also has a lift! Food and drinks: I havent tried their in-house meals but they are complimentary breakfast was exquisite. Fresh fruit, hot omelette hash browns and breakfast meats, oatmeal, and a very cool pancake making machine. They also have a phenomenal specialty coffee machine in the front lobby that I took full advantage of!
Watch your credit card, last 3 times I stayed they charged $100 incidentals damage deposit on my credit card and did not reverse the charges until I called to complain a week later. Overall the hotel is ok, but certainly not a $200/night hotel like they charge, especially since my last night there still had garbage in the bin and several obvious hairs in the shower/bathroom. As this is the 3rd time my $100 has sat there, it seems very much like a scam. They take $100 from each customer and then maybe refund it weeks later, sure would add up.
Rooms are nice being a newer hotel. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean and modern. I would rate 5 stars except for a couple of things. The room temperature is hard to control. I would go out and set the thermostat to cool down the room to 67°C, then turn off the thermostat when came back. Partway through the night the room temperature would go up too 74°C. The bathroom shower theres no ledge or shelf in order to put your shampoo, etc when showering. Also seems strange not to have a shower door that closes but maybe thats the new modern style? The staff are friendly and polite. My smoke detector battery died and the front desk fellow ended up having the rob a battery from another room because the one he gave me was dead as well. Lol. But was super apologetic and friendly. Also found it not very sound proof. You could here people walking above you and all the noises from the hallway. Otherwise a nice hotel.
Very nice modern rooms. Comfortable beds. I wish the restaurant was open on the weekends.
love this place
Very nice and clean and roomy.
This is a new hotel situated at the prime location of PA. Spacious rooms, clean facilities and friendly staff. Highly recommended! Food and drinks: Free continental breakfast. On-site lounge.
Rooms: Super clean. Huge rooms with comfortable beds. Rooms
They food n beverage rooms are short staffed
The room was nice and clean but couldn t use the sink cause the plumbing wasn t hooked up underneath the bathroom sink. (Would run onto the floor) was told maintenance was away and couldn t fix it, And to try not to use the bathroom sink. When leaving I was told they couldn t give me a discount on room cause I already had a discount when I booked the room 2 months ago. $207 with tax a night. I asked for the manager to call me, he/she isn t in till Tuesday. I will update this post if they actually call and do something about this. Cause $200 a night without use of a bathroom sink isn t acceptable. We had to use the bathroom sink at my son s archery tournament to brush our teeth and wash our hands. Food and drinks: Breakfast was ok!!
Great place
Busy, very expensive. Pleasant staff.
Ok this trip update. The baby pillows are gone thankfully. That said, not even a free water as a platinum member. I always thought the best western plus and premier were a bit underwhelming in their treatment of frequent guests, but nothing from one of the most expensive in the province? The shower worked, so that is good. No room service (daily cleaning, towels etc) which seems pretty unacceptable given the price of stay. Still having amenities like tvs you can cast to and one of the best beds of places I stay gives them the 4 stars. Should be 5, but the overall service is a 3 so I meet in the middle. Exception is the bar server. She was very good.
Super nice setup rooms are big comfy and real cozy. Has a pool and hot tub as well. Great spot to stay the night
Its me. Im poor. I couldnt sleep knowing we paid $215 to sleep. I dont make that much awake so night night was outa the question. I need a government job is what I need. Poordom sucks because I hafta denigrated the good stuff.
Really great hotel. Clean spacious rooms. Great service.
Meh. Would have expected to be more clean with attention to detail for the price. Still hair on the shower walls, the light switches are dirty, some hair in a clean towel and the wall was quite soiled by the garbage bin.
Update! We received an apology from the manager. No resolution to our problem. We didnt pay for apologies we paid for a hotel room with certain basic services such as house keeping. Apparently this is bigger than an issue of forgetting, its a system to keep costs down and not provide the services expected from any hotel. Original Post: We are currently on day 5 of a 7 day stint at this hotel. Paid $1500 for the 7 days, no deal for staying more than 1 day. We expected daily house keeping. Not only do you not get daily housekeeping, you get ZERO house keeping even when requested. We leave the hang tag out daily for house keeping, no house keeping shows up. We went to the front desk on day 3 to find out whats going on - they said we needed to request to be on a list to get house keeping... they made it sound like a inconvenience to them to do full housekeeping. I said this needed to be done in full, and we wanted it daily. They cleaned it once, left no towels. We called the front desk and had to go get towels ourselves. Next day... no house keeping at all AGAIN. Talked to front desk about it, they offered apologies again, lots of apologies in this process, but no house keeping. This is the most expensive hotel in Prince Albert, so id suggest saving your money and go to any of the other places since you arent getting anything for your extra money. Noteworthy details: Customer Service is awful, house keeping is non-existant.
Hotel is nice, staff are friendly and quick. Location isn t the best, parking can be difficult if you get there later on in the day. Rooms
Modern and clean (almost) hot tub was out of service (not a problem and the staff were apologetic about that) The pancake machine was a massive hit and delicious. Coffee machine in the lobby was OUTSTANDING! Quiet. Beds were like sleeping on clouds. Bathroom fans are efficient, very nice. The bedroom had unique style, very welcoming.
Very clean and nice place
Food and drinks: Breakfast is good Rooms
While it is the most expensive hotel in Prince Albert, the difference is noted compared to other hotels in the area. Rooms are clean and bedding is comfortable. This is hands down the best included breakfast in the city, and of most others in the province. A descent express machine, crisp croissants and pastries and non-dairy alternatives are comparable to hotel breakfasts in Europe. My issues last stay (water pressure on the 4th floor and lack of a soap tray in the shower) which I had mentioned to the front desk, had been resolved (at least the soap tray, I was on the 2nd floor this time and water pressure was fine. They had boiler issues last visit). The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. Great experience!
We were very happy with the king suite that we booked for our wedding. We were able to get early check in so the bridal party could use the room to get ready in the morning. When we arrived again later that night the front desk staff was very helpful. We also noticed that it was very quiet with no noises or sounds from other guests. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel was kept very clean in all areas we visited.
Just went for a meal which was good wasnt busy at all may have been an in-between meal times9
Delivering a pizza did feel like I was in this town only to another place
Very nice hotel! Always enjoy best western. Little pricey
I had a room and the room I was at was where the bottom sign is and the view was good and bad at the same time and the fitness center is the best thing about this hotel
My only complaint was that the front desk staff wore so much perfume and cologne that I could barely breathe in the lobby. Otherwise amazing place
My Aunt and Uncle from Calgary came to visit. I recommend the Best Western Premier hotel. They were disappointed in this hotel. They talked to front desk regarding issues of holes in walls patched over but not painted. More importantly mold in the shower. No discount was given. Poor customer service for senior guests in their 70s and 80s. I am going to follow up with others on this issue. Carla
Absolutely wonderful stay! The rooms were clean with super comfortable beds. Lots of space in the room and a good sized desk to work on. The staff are friendly and very helpful. If you go to the pool, you can relax under the always changing lights on the ceiling. Very cool. Everything in the hotel was clean and you can smell the freshness of it all. Hot beakfast is delivered right to your door due to covid. They delivered at the exact time I requested it. Wonderful stay here! Will be back!
We had an excellent experience at Best Western Premier Prince Albert! Great room, great staff, food and service! Management and staff go out of their way to make your stay special!
This is nice hotel.
Clean, quiet, and restful
The best hotel in Prince Albert.
Good place to stay overall. Only minus is that if your there for a few or more days breakfast is always the same with no variety
This hotel was awesome! Great staff, big clean rooms! The lady that works night shift was super helpful! Would definitely stay here again.
I called to book. They offered a double bed for $91. I paid, took my receipt and realized they charged me a king size bed. When I called to deal with it, I was told to call back during business hours! $91 to $222 is a huge difference to some... Rooms : 1/5 |
By far the best hotel in PA. I recommend staying here. Excellent service and a call to see if I needed anything. Their in house restaurant was wonderful with excellent lemon chicken.
Had to cancel reservations because my family got covid. Was told I ll still be charged for the room. Stuck at home but charged $220 for nothing. Do they expect me to still go to the hotel with covid and sit in there to get my moneys worth.
We ve stayed here a lot, this time the cheap electrical USB sockets fried my iPad. Use huge caution if you re going to use them. Plug it into the wall instead and not the sockets by the beds.
Love staying there
The hotel is new and rooms are spacious and clean. The service it top notch, the manger is extremely helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend it.
Ive only been as far as the front desk cause I was just there to inquire on rates but from the moment I walked in, I was amazed at how nice it is. My cousin stays there all the time when shes in town and her and her husband sure like it. Ive never seen the rooms or much else but the front desk clerk and manager were very helpful.
Room cleanliness issues when we first checked in - garbage cans not emptied, sheets hadnt been changed in either bed and hair all over the bathroom floor.
Not bad for prince albert. Clean rooms and comon areas. All you really need in PA. Rooms : 5/5
Great service - front desk fellow was very well mannered and extremely helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
Service really need to improve, I called to make a reservation with the company rate that we have with Best Western the front desk told me call tomorrow when my manager is available so I have to called the national number to get the rate and book my hotel. Finally got my booking and When I tried to check in and leave my baggage as they do not have rooms available until 3:00 and I understand that is the rule for most of the hotels, basically I was told again it can not be done perhaps the branch at Medicine Hat should provide some customer service trainning as they will not give the room but they will hold your baggage and when you return to check in they just give you the keys because they think outside the box it is a shame for this brand as this hotel will be name as it can not be done the basic guest service
Everything was good until they allowed families with kids to run up and down the halls non stop.
Great experience. Spacious and clean room, stayed on 3rd floor. Friendly staff. Certainly will book again if visiting PA.
By far the best hotel Ive stayed at in p.a Kane, shendaia, and all the staff are amazing. Go above and beyond for the guests.
Had a very awesome sleep and the service is very good as well
Room was spacious and very comfortable. Had a super nice time with the family.
Everything excellent! New hotel and very pleasant stay.
Check in slow. Maybe training? Staff friendly. Recommend this Hotel. Rooms : 5/5
Beautiful hotel, rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool, gym, restaurant and bar. Check in was slow, however front desk attendants were courteous and happy to answer questions. If you want your room cleaned for your stay, you will still have to request service the day before. Location is convenient, close to restaurants and shopping. We recommend.
Very clean and spacious rooms.
Stayed the night, didnt sleep much. There was a beeping from a smoke detector in the room across the hall. I told the girl at the desk, she said she would take care of it and never did. It went off all night. I forgot my phone charged, called and was told it would be at front desk. On my travels I stopped in only yo be told its not there. I asked for an email reciept 2x and have still not gotten it a day later. Very clean and nice rooms though and the hotel itself is very nice
Stayed there overnight. Rooms where good. Service was good. Location was out of the way.
The rooms are consistently clean. Service has been consistently good. Probably the best hotel Ive stayed in in Prince Albert.
Party all night non stop noise no staff to control drunken guests what a joke
Watch out party zone all night no staff manager doesnt care
I had a booking but the manager canceled it by mistake and provided no communication. When I went to check in there was no effort to make it right and there were no rooms available. The only thing that was offered was to call the other hotel to see if there was a room. It was a frustrating experience and not up to the standard of Best Western.
Newest hotel in Prince Albert. I always stayed at another hotel however the comfort of the beds at BW Premier are second to none and this soon became my favorite. Pool and hot tub, hot food options (complimentary hot breakfast) and lounge on site, even a liquor store next door. A little pricey compared to others but room comfort makes up for that. If your staying in PA then I recommend. Safety: Room key required to access elevator, added safety feature.
Good hotel, swimming pool was broken when we were there
We had an awful stay almost 18 months ago (July 2021). Long story short our rooms were dirty, had other people s garbage in them still, dirty sheets on the bed along with other things. I have a previous review with more details. I have called Best Western main customer service line several times as the hotel would never return my calls or emails. They notified the hotel to call me and the hotel would not. Finally in Feb 2022 someone called me back. She told me she would talk to upper management and get back to me. My call was never returned. Again, I called main customer service and hotel. Heard nothing back. 2 months ago I called and finally talked to the manager at the hotel. He seas great and apologized for everything. He the told me he would give me a full refund. He took my credit card and did the refund. The money was never refunded to my credit card. I have been calling the hotel for 6 weeks to see what s going on with promises of call backs and haven t heard back until today. I spoke with the manager who said he did put the refund through but then the owner of the property stopped it. I called best western main customer service again who basically know nothing and cannot do anything. I am shocked at how horrible this hotels customer service is. This should have been dealt with 18 months ago during my stay!
Great place
Great hotel! Very friendly staff and the rooms are nice and clean. Continental breakfast gets delivered right to your room, at the time you want, great way to prevent the spread of COVID! Added security when going up to your room, card access only. Wonderful place to stay.
Nice lobby area, looks fancy, good chairs & tables, good lighting, coffee refreshments, TVs, mirrors, internet table, Electric Car charger,
Its a great place to stay
New location of Best western Premier Hotel in Prince Albert Saskatchewan.
Very nice when you walk in. Nice lounge and server. Rooms are nice and clean
The hotel is superb, it has a swimming pool exercise room, a laundry room for guests who need this service
Great place
very nice rooms! they bring breakfast to your room because the kitchen area is closed (covid)
Beautiful hotel The only negative thing is that was the parking lot was icy...*careful*...but other than that the environment and the rooms are spacious and very lovely
Beautiful and clean room. Quiet overnight so we could sleep, friendly staff
One of the nicest hotels Ive stayed in. Very clean and quiet. Will be staying here again.
Everything was very good. Clean and quiet.
idfk
We attempted to get a late check out last night. Was informed we are fully booked, front desk called at 11am on the dot to say we needed to leave as we were packing up. Have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay, however will not be anymore as the front desk staff have no customer service....
Very clean rooms, comfortable, chaise lounger with computer table was nice. Little bit suprised that the shower in room did not have a soap dish or place for shampoo. Light breakfast included and delivered to room for specified time was a nice touch. Casting from iphone to smartTV as also good. Quiet location, near a MacDonalds. Boston Pizza not far way.
Lounge was great, beds are great, had a red blinking light on phone all night because front desk couldnt turn it off.
Clean and brand new hotel -! Whenever I go to P.A, stay here - good small bar
Bright and shiny
The hotel itself is pleasant. Newly built and obviously well constructed, the physical property is very nice. The hotel staff, all mostly overworked, were extremely pleasant and apologetic about the propertys obvious operational shortfalls. Hotels should not run out of milk for breakfast; and if the man who orders milk on the weekends didnt order enough, it most certainly should not happen again two weeks later. I full understand the difficulties in attracting, training and retaining staff in more remote locations; this, however, is partly why they subscribe to pay Best Western a substantial management fee, and is an issue that the investors should have thought through more thoroughly before opening such an expensive property. I also fail to understand why the GM would not have simply gone out and bought some milk from a nearby supermarket. I really dont care if that is not the way we order things; when things go wrong, you improvise. True, its guests seemed to be mandatory corporate; construction crews, visitors for the various regional government services offered in PA and not tourists. No discretionary traveller would put up for long in what is (at heart) and expensive and upmarket Staff House. Other minor, but distracting issues are the chairs at the desks in the rooms. They are all too small, and were obviously purchased independently on deciding the height of the desk. A minor issue, perhaps, but the hotel is not shy in charging for their rooms, and the furniture is a part of the offering. Not to mention that one day, out of a three-day stay, our room was not cleaned at all. Nothing touched. Again, a substantial room charge for the stay and no apology or compensation for not bothering to clean up. I understand from a conversation two weeks later this was and executive decision taken because of a staffing shortage. A pity that there was no executive decision to compensate the clients. A beautiful building indeed; it is, however, dreadfully managed, and this lack of attention and concern for detail permeates itself onto the able staff who have to carry a load that goes way beyond their paygrade.
I have never experienced such appalling customer service in my life. Im just disgusted. This used to be the place we would always go when we stayed in PA. Not anymore. I had booked a room about a month ago. We arrived in Prince Albert early and when we went to check in we were told that they were busy the night prior, and regular check-in time was 4 pm. I said no problem, and we left and had lunch, visited some family and when we returned returned at 4, we noticed the woman at the front of the line was clearly upset. She had booked 8 rooms for 2 nights and thanks to their awesome customer service, one booking was apparently missing even though she had paid and received the confirmation, and she was basically told that there was nothing that they could do. So we get to the front of the line and the agent starts to proceed with our booking, telling us we will be ok the 2nd floor, etc. My husband commented that sometimes we can get early check in and we got some sass from one of the girls at the front desk, telling us that check in is at 4. Yes, we are aware of that! Then the maintenance manager, Tom Simmons, came out and joined in, giving us attitude. I was so confused by their behaviour. Everything was fine!! We simply pointed out that sometimes hotels can check in their guests early!! Then, Tom abruptly told the agent to stop with our booking and took him to the back room. They disappeared for a good 10 minutes and when they returned, Tom told us we are no longer able to stay at the hotel. I couldnt even understand what was going on! We had booked a month ago and prepaid, yet they were denying us service for some reason. At this point, we were clearly unhappy because this was so unfair, so Tom decided to call the cops. My 4 year old child began to cry. After nearly 8 hours on the road, this was the last thing we needed, and we just wanted our room that was ready!! My husband pointed out that our child was upset and Tom said No you are making your own child cry! Disgusting. I wonder if Tom decided to cancel our booking so that he could accommodate the lady in front of us that was short a room. I guess he felt more comfortable kicking us out for no reason than to lose 8 2 night bookings. Now we have nowhere to stay and are out that money. As I sat in my car in the parking lot scrambling to find a place to stay for my family of 4, I noticed 2 other cars doing the same thing that were also waiting in line when I was in there. Horrible. Literally, stay anywhere else.
According to the events unfolding for a family in front of us, the hotel seemed overbooked or housekeeping was running late. At 4 PM the family was being denied accommodation so they hurled expletives at front desk staff. Front desk staff seemed confused while these weary travelers seemed to loose patience when a reservation seemingly went unhonoured! I would not have expected this from this hotel. This is why the hotel now gets only 3 stars. A previous experience with this hotel was much better. Otherwise this hotel is quite nice.
Its a new build, so the facilities are all really nice and modern, of course. The bed is super comfortable too. The downsides? Well, we arrived before the regular check-in time of 4 pm, so I completely understand not being able to get into our room. (it was 3:20.) We came back just after 4, and the room *still* wasnt ready. Um, ok? They said they hadnt gotten to our floor yet? Well, why didnt you send the cleaners to our room immediately at 3:20 when we arrived? They said it wasnt going to be ready until like 5:30! Lol, seriously? Luckily, we were meeting people, so we didnt need it until later that night. Also - I think b/c of Covid-19 - they stopped doing the buffet style breakfast. Instead, they have you order pre-packaged food the night before. (but at least they deliver it to your room.) That said, they were out of milk the first 2 days, so we just gave up. (I see that other reviews here had the same issue.) Why didnt they send someone out to the local grocery store to get some? When things dont work out, you need to improvise. Thats just lazy/indifferent behaviour on the part of the managers. Likewise, you were to request a time to have it delivered. It was just pre-packaged, so I thought it would be pretty much on time. No, it came in two seperate deliveries. One 20 mins before the requested time, the next, 20 mins after. When I talked to the manager, she gave me this indifferent comment like, I have no control when the food is delivered. Uh yeah you do, lady - youre the boss! Anyway, overall it wasnt the worst experience, but certainly not the best. They need to get their s_it together.
Excellent rooms. Excellent bar and food. Best place to to stay hands down in Prince Albert!
Very Disappointed in this hotel Terrible customer service Came for an anniversary getaway and was very unhappy with the hotel and the staff that offered us 10 percent off to stay in our king room that the door wouldn t close and the mattress was split in half making it impossible to actually sleep in this bed
Stayed there for 2 nights and they ended up charging me for 3 saying they can t refund anything because there system says 3 nights. Have the receipt for two days.
Incompetent, Unprofessional, and RACIST! This was an overall terrible experience. The staff showed a level of incompetency that I have never witnessed. Very few things were performed properly on the first attempt. On top of the incompetency, staff members showed blatant and overt racism. From the beginning, our toilet was clogged. We told the staff repeatedly over two days. Only after three complaints that they changed our rooms. The issue was that the new room that they checked us into was already occupied!!! Luckily, the occupant had just checked in and we didnt disturb him too much. On top of everything, the staff was blatantly racist against the guests and other staff. One receptionist was condescending and creating artificial barriers to checking in for an indigenous couple who had a reservation and all of the necessary items required to check in. Later, the same receptionist publicly berated and yelled at BIPOC staff members who were having a private conversation in their mother tongue. The staff made additional mistakes which were minor in comparison. Numerous guests were not told about the altered breakfast ordering process leading to additional work and stress. There was not clear communication on covid protocols. The iron was so rusty that it took 15 minutes to try to steam out all of the rust inside it. The bathroom was moldy, because there were large gaps in the grout in the bathroom. There were also no shelves in the shower to put soap or shampoo. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
Phoned in booking. Did not receive email confirmation and staff coming to work found accommodation elsewhere as I was out of town. Was billed for the days not stayed. Have not received email receipt/bill. Have contacted Hotel and no help from staff. Manager has not responded to me email. Very poor business practices (shady to say the least and also incompetent) Will not book again or advise our incline locus staff to avoid at all costs.
Our 1st room they gave us smelled really bad so I asked to switch rooms. Beautiful rooms just no shower door or shelving for shampoos. Gave us our breakfast and forgot to tell us we need to heat up our sandwich as it was frozen. Too expensive for my liking
WOW! Top tier 10/10 I rented a standard two queen room for my daughters birthday and was beyond satisfied! Staff was super accommodating. Hotel was SPOTLESS! Pool was great! Hotel is new so everywhere had that new smell! My room was gorgeous! I never thought I would say this but I was able to see PA at a different angle on the 4th floor and it was beautiful! I would highly recommend staying here! I know I will be again!
Poorly operated, unorganized, constant mistakes made during check in/check out. Rooms are very standard for the price. Several rooms have a Wi-Fi router in the ceiling that lights up the entire room while trying to sleep. Both stays have been charged more than the confirmation amount. Top dollar for standard rooms and those ridiculous shower curtain rods that hang down like theyre broken. Shower curtain was stained with what looked like blood during last stay. Going downhill fast for a fairly new hotel with tons of potential.
Its actually a really nice place to stay. Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, easy to get the hang of. The list goes on but there are better hotels, maybe not in Sakatchewan. And the food could use some improvement too but either ways, I really enjoyed my tiny vacation there.
Gross. Unprepared. Dirty. We booked a room for 4 people on our reservation. The only available room was the suite with a pull-out bed. Not a problem, it will work. From the beginning it was clear the room was not clean, hairballs on the bathroom floor, gross used towels on the closet floor and water remaining in the ice bucket (see photos), just to name a few. It became obvious that all they do is change the sheets BUT they clearly dont prep the room for your stay since the pull out bed had no bedding. I contacted the front desk for bedding and the girl at the front seemed surprised there wasnt any. Not even extra pillows. She mentioned that housekeeping was gone and she didnt have access to the housekeeping room.... It was also clear she was the only one working the front. It was around 7-8pm at this point, so this suprised me. She delivered a blanket and pillows to the room and left. No sheets. I went down to the front desk and after a 15 minute wait for her to return I mentioned the sheets. She said she knew and was looking for them. I went back to the room and waited. She showed up 15-20 minutes later with an oversized sheet that didnt fit the bed. That was all we got. An oversized fitted sheet that didnt fit. No sheet for the top. Old pilled blanket and pillows. For how much we paid for room it was a constant disappoint. They get 2 stars (instead of 1) because the girl at the front tried to help but its clear she was ill equipped. We filled out the survey after stating our issues and got a canned corporate response rambling on about how well they are doing. Way to go Best Western. For supposedly being the best hotel in the city I suggest staying somewhere else.
Brand new hotel...WITH a level 2 EV charging station! (Ask at the front desk for the key to activate it, if needed.) If the charging station is blocked (a bit of signage would help prevent this... But it wasnt installed when we were there) or in use, there is another Level 2 station about a two minute walk away at the Peavey Mart. Oh, and super friendly and helpful staff, who worked very hard to cover for the fact that the they are sometimes a bit short staffed right now.
Certainly my choice if staying in Prince Albert. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great for the price.
Hotel is new and tastefully decorated. Sign is difficult to see from the main road, parking lot a bit small if you are pulling a trailer. Phone in the room was not connected to the front desk or housekeeping. Sink did not drain. Room was short a blow dryer and the front desk (after calling from my cell) was unable to acquire one as they are not associated with housekeeping. Breakfast is delivered in a paper bag at your door and you add your own hot water to oatmeal and microwave your breakfast sandwich. Tried the soup at the restaurant, it was very good and the staff were friendly. Masks are worn by about 50 percent of the staff.
Terrible!! Multiple times staying there and all the rooms (within different company members) had zero hot water to shower at the end of the day or even wash your hands. We also asked for a couple plates, as we ordered food in, and they said they didn t do that . Would never recommend that anyone stay there. Would give zero stars if possible.
Sir do you want any guy to work with you?
Nice, safe hotel. Check in was quick and easy, check out was the same. Only two complaints, and fairly minor: 1) thin feeling walls. I could hear my neighbors TV at times, maybe they had it cranked up, or the walls are just thin. 2) the food from the lounge. I had the 18 dollar premier burger, and would not recommend. Rubbery burger patty, a pathetic spine of romaine lettuce, very thick tomato, and the fries were soggy and flavorless. Didnt try anything else since the burger was so disappointing. All in all I would stay here again
The Front Desk Manager Shannon is always ready to come to your rescue and go above and beyond! Thanks for all that you do!
Place was clean and the staff was incredible! Especially my bartender Val. Swear to god thought she was from Boston. I was in the industry for a decade and I have yet to meet somebody as personable, precise, hard working and caring as Val. Promote her.
Dishonest ownership Incompetent management If they give you something that requires your signature, read it thoroughly. Very shifty
Nice hotel clean rooms, would stay here again.
Terrible hotel. The hotel doesnt even have extra towels in the pool. the rooms are not cleaned. the food is not tasty. the hotel is not worth the money they ask
Nice, new hotel.
Some rooms not finished
Chromecast in the room is a genius move, wifi signal strength/bandwidth was good enough for me to stream video from home to my hotel room.
Rooms are clean and well stocked. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Ample parking.
Nice staff and great service. Breakfast delivered right to room every morning (COVID NO BUFFET). Pool is nice and so is the fitness center. Good location too. Whoever designed the shower in the standard king rooms should get shot though. There is no way to stop water getting EVERYWHERE as it is a nonclosable shower that is very tight to work around. Not their fault though so still 5 stars.
Finally a place that has figured out that you can never have enough usb ports and wall sockets close to the bedside and desk. I plugged in all the things that I otherwise would have had to in my truck the next morning. Chromecast in the room? Life changing! I stay at 10-15 hotels a month. This is the most up to date tech savvy hotel Ive been in yet. Kudos.
I really enjoyed our stay. The lounge is open with a limited menu and breakfast is delivered in a brown paper bag to the door. That was a nice touch. The shower had no door, obviously by design, and the floor was soaked. Im sure theres a reason but I couldnt think of one. Ill be back for sure. It was a pleasant stay.
Brand new very clean hotel. We had a king suite which lots of space.
The guy at the front dusk with a suit on was so rude...! Didn t expect it..
Hotel is new, clean rooms but pathetic customer service, the booking said full hot breakfast, but none provided, got cereal without milk and a bowl so had to ask. Wouldnt recommend and stay in this BW again though in general I like BW in other cities
Faisal and his team provide excellent service the moment I walked in the door. Greeted by my first name, offered a complimentary drink from the bar, had me select my breakfast that will be dropped off at my room, kitchen even stayed open past their closing time to make me a delicious steak. Great place would highly recommend this place. Very clean and comfortable rooms as well!
Would be 5 star if they would have options for pillows.... Its waaaay too hard ... I cant sleep on them
