124 Picton Main St, Prince Edward, ON K0K 2T0, Canada
Small craft brewery in the heart of Picton, Prince Edward County. Massive patio, wood fired pizza & amazing beer.
Fantastic Craft Brews and Great Atmosphere! I recently visited 555 Brewing Co, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The beer selection is phenomenal, with a wide variety of craft brews that cater to all tastes. Each beer we tried was expertly brewed, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with passion. The atmosphere is equally impressive—cozy, welcoming, and perfect for hanging out with friends or family. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations based on your preferences. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a laid-back place to enjoy some quality drinks, 555 Brewing Co is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their unique offerings. Highly recommended!
Great beers, nice atmosphere. Pizza was absolutely delicious. We had the #13 (spinach chicken) and it was cooked perfectly! We also had a flight.
This restaurant had a nice vibe, lots of outdoor seating (albeit we sat inside). Loved all the hanging plants inside. Our waiter was super nice, great guy. The pizzas were very good, although I found them to be a touch on the small side. We were sharing a couple of pizzas amongst 4 of us and I could have totally eaten one whole pizza myself lol. If I was to come again, I would definitely order my own and indulge!
Disappointing Experience Despite Excellent Service Date of Visit: Aug,12,2024 Time: 7:30 PM My recent visit to 555 was, unfortunately, a disappointment despite the best efforts of the staff. Arriving at 7:30 PM, my party and I were promptly seated, and our drink and dinner orders were taken by 7:40 PM. The waitresses, Sydney and Brandi, were exceptionally attentive and made every effort to ensure a pleasant dining experience. However, the evening quickly turned sour due to significant delays in the kitchen. By 8:19 PM, nearly 40 minutes after placing our order, we were still waiting for our appetizers. The delay was acknowledged, and the waitresses kindly brought out chips and guacamole as a gesture for the extended wait. Unfortunately, this small offering did little to compensate for the overall lack of efficiency. Our garlic fingers finally arrived at 8:29 PM, followed by a #2 pizza at 8:33 PM. The pizza, which was advertised as wood-fired, appeared to lack the distinctive qualities one would expect from such preparation. The crust had the telltale dots and lines that suggested it may have been pre-made and bought in, rather than made in-house. It was also missing that smoky char flavor you expect for something wood fired. For a restaurant that focuses solely on pizza, and given the price point, I would expect the dough and pizzas to be of much higher quality—certainly better than something I could purchase at a grocery store. By 8:40 PM, the #12 pizza was served, but by then, the experience had already been marred by the lengthy delays. We decided to leave at 8:50 PM, not because we were full, but because we simply did not want to eat any more of the product given. We brought the pizzas home for a second opinion, which ultimately solidified our view of the restaurant. As a business owner in the food industry myself, I was shocked at the lack of professionalism exhibited by the owner in response to poor reviews. I was hesitant to write this review, particularly because, judging by the owner's responses to other unsatisfied customers, it seems that they are not receptive to any form of criticism. However, I believe it's important to provide an honest account of my experience. As a local, I would be happy to return if the issues addressed in not only our review but the reviews of others were resolved. While the service provided by Sydney and Brandi was commendable, the kitchen's inability to deliver in a timely manner and the subpar quality of the pizza overshadowed their efforts. Regrettably, I cannot recommend 555 based on this visit, and I hope that management addresses these issues promptly. Rating:2/5 (Service: 4/5, Food: 2/5, Atmosphere: 3/5)
Absolutely delicious pizza and beer! Pictured is the #8 pizza, some of the best I’ve ever had! The crust is delicious and there are so many different options for pizzas. We got the mango sour beer and the pink lemonade pale and they were scrumptious. Definitely stop in here!
Great oven fired pizza and craft beer. The staff were amazing. We showed up a little late during the week after a day at the beach. They greeted us with smiles and open arms even though it was pretty clear we would be there after scheduled closing hours. I was having a low blood sugar event and asked for a drink. They rushed in over in seconds. We had some delicious pretzel bits and queso with chips. The beer was cold and very welcome after a long day. We filled up on pizza and we're completely satisfied with the meal. The decor is also very stylish. I loved the abundance of real plants! Thank you guys for the food and service.
The first thing that struck me when I entered the restaurant we’re the giant live plants hanging from the ceiling. What a brilliant idea! The second was the good of course. Because of my friend’s food allergy we had to pick up gluten-free crust and it was awesome! The only wish is that they had sharper knives. It was hard to cut through a bit. But otherwise all was great; the pizza, the cider, the service! Thank you! I will come back
Tasty pizzas, great beer made on site, super value and awesome staff! A must eat place in Picton! And a dog friendly patio, too!
In the area for a night away and checked this place out for dinner. Great beer and really good stone oven pizza. Would highly recommend! Staff was very friendly:)
One of the better vegan pizza options you ll find. The pesto and parmesan are really tasty and add good textural variety. The service is always excellent, but the food can be slow to arrive, especially at peak hours. The beer selection changes, and most recently there were no sour options, but the non-beer selection is decent enough for someone looking for something other than a lager or IPA.
An excellent selection of beers to choose from, very friendly staff, and the best wood oven pizza.
Just stopped in for some cans to go, the beer is really good.
Great spot. Stopped while cycling around the county and the West Coast IPA blew me away. Good service, and good vibes. Didnt eat, but the food looked yummy.
We are from Toronto. Me and My Fiancé were trying places things here, and we stumbled across this nice cozy restaurant. My fiancé and I believe this is one of the best ( if not the best) and most tasty pizza place. We have tried the blue cheese, and pickles pizza which is very interesting combination. Service was also great and recommendations by the server were on spot. We Highly recommend this place! Keep up the good tasty work! :))
I stumbled upon this place by chance and got to try some really unique-tasting beers. Their IPA is absolutely top-notch! This time, I just bought some beer to take home, but next time, I definitely want to stop by and order some pizza to enjoy with it.
Excellent selection of drinks, friendly staff and great location. Would recommend the flight.
Great pizza and beer! Service was slow but it seemed like they were a bit short staffed because its the off-season.
Amazing. Pretzels bites were outstanding. Pizza was sooo fresh and light. I asked for some hot sauce and they gave me the house special. I wanted to buy lt was mind blowing. Service was fantastic. House cider was just perfect. Will be back for sure.
Ordered the salad, kettle chips and the duck and brisket pizzas. Food was well seasoned and the flavours were excellently balanced. The servers were very polite and observant as well.
Great find! Great place to come sit with family/ friends & enjoy a meal/ time together. Great beer & wood fired pizza! Salads looked awesome too. The Jaded IPA was the best ever!! Creamy top, smooth balanced taste & British pint (20 oz)!
Great beer. Friendly staff. Very average pizza.
Enormous delay to get our order of pizza . Arrived at 7pm , ordered promptly , first 3 pizza were served at 8:35 pm and the rest around 8:45 . It ruined the whole experience sadly. No appetizer. Never asked for other drinks just waiting.
We tried different beers and had some pretzel bites as snacks, which we (as Germans) definitely approve of!! Everything was tasty and the service was great :)
The pizzas are amazing and the service is excellent. I recommend
Good food and beer. I think the pizza crust may be pre-made...but the taste was good...would be even better if it was freshly done. The service was a bit slow, but it was our waitresss first day. All in all, good restaurant.
Wood fire pizza was really great
Forget 555. Next to the famous deep dish pizza we had in Chicago, the deluxe pizza we had last night at Gabriel s Picton is the best we ve ever eaten. We originally went to 555 across the street due to its apparent popularity but when asked about the wait time and told ~50 minutes we decided @#$&* that and walked across the street to Gabriel s. Great choice! Way better pizza and half the price of 555. Sure, there is no eat in opportunity, but we took it home and had a $3 beer instead of $10 at 555. We ll always be ordering our pizzas from Gabriel s!! Further to the 555 feedback, we were first in line waiting to be seated and waited about 15 min before anyone came up to us or acknowledged us. That s when we asked about what further delays there may be and were told at least 50 min. to get food. Sure, it s a nice setting and some people may want to sit around and drink, but if your main goal is to eat I m not going to wait over an hour to do it. Maybe your business model is to cause a delay in order to sell more drinks, or maybe you just need to hire more staff.
Great pizza, beer and people. What more can you want?
Place is nice, the guy at the entrance (tall guy with tattoos) was very nice and friendly. Had to wait 40 mins but hey, place look s cool and lots of people want to eat there but in my opinion, pizza was pretty average and nothing special. Beer was really good but service was very slow but i mean (and i did read this comment about this place) way to slow for the qty of customer they have. And about our server, a lady who look like she dont like being there and dont like people, i mean the service you get at a restaurant can mess up the experience and if you dont like working there just quite! Overall and this is my honest review, i would return if i didnt have to wait and just want to drink a beer, otherwise, for dinner that i would spend a good amount of time , i would go try another spot.
First of all, thank you very much Kiersten for the great service 5 and also a little French . Especially on a hot day like today it arrived with the water in less than 5 minutes, in many restaurants you often have to ask, but why? As for the pizza, I was a little disappointed by the dough, it looks more like a mechanically made dough like a frozen pizza, however the ingredients were fresh and very good.
Pizza crust was undercooked. Ok for a beer, not so much for the food.
We had a great lunch here today. Great pizza. Well cooked. Friendly service. Highly recommend.
I went during my vacation in Picton. The beer was delicious and so was my chicken cesear wrap. The service was excellent.
Really cute place. Really nice pizza loved the cider.
As a couple from Ottawa, we relied on the service to help us with menu and selection. Brandi was our server and she was fantastic in helping with our choices while being very friendly and courteous. We will be back!
Friendly, unpretentious restaurant in the heart of Picton. In addition to making several varieties of beer on site, they also make excellent pizza cooked in a wood oven.
While there is a bit of a wait for the pizzas, I did not mind as we were able to order some appetizers which came quickly. The #3 pizza was delicious. The wait at the door was a little long as the hostess seemed to disappear for minutes at a time to also run food to tables. I do understand it is in a busy tourist town and there is a smaller supply of staff to choose from, but I found it odd the hostess was the one to do jobs other than just greet & seat guests.
Excellent pizza, beer and service :)
Very much enjoyed the pizzas and beers. Super casual. Pricey though we probably should have purchased only 3 pizzas instead of 5.
Excellent menu choices, great service and pet friendly. We re happy to sit on patio with our pup and enjoy some unique, delicious pizzas. Beer was tasty, staff knowledgeable, and pretzel bites a must!
Best vibe for drinks with friends and yummy eats. Cant wait to go back
This is an amazing restaurant and brewery. The food is fantastic. It have super cute hanging plants inside giving it a airy fresh feeling . Staff is supe helpfull and friendly . Beer was tasty and the pesto pizza is to die for friendly as well !! Really worth checking out One of my favorite place when I was visiting. Could hang put on the patio and people watch while having a tasting flight of their beer
Pizza tastes pretty decent but definitely not worth the cost/portion. Was staying at a cottage nearby and grabbed some pizzas for the boys and it was definitely not enough for us. Yet to try the beers here may give it a try if Im ever around the area and end up dining here in the future. Atmosphere here seemed pretty lit though !
We had the Pizza Squirrel dark beer & loved it from the first sip! All 3 of us agreed it was the Best dark beer we have had. The food & service were great too, but really the Pizza Squirrel- wow!
Beer is good, not blow minding but not offensive. Pizza is probably the worst I ever ate. There are not made in house but frozen. Definitely not a must go to. Waitress was really nice so 3 stars although wait for a frozen pizza was 30min
We sat on the patio and had a pizza and a salad. Unfortunately, a person had brought two dogs, and they barked nearly the whole meal. The staff never intervened or asked the owner to stop. We had to speak up, and we were ignored. We left as soon as we could.
Wow! The beer is good, but the pizza is the best Ive eaten, lactose-free with goat cheese, vegan parmesan and pesto. It was a real delight.
Wooooooaaaaa the pizzas! Too delicious! The beers are superb too! There are cans if you havent stopped by the beer store! Entouka, on this street, this address is a must! Just perfect for sand banks afterwards! Lactose-free and vegetarian options! THANKS!
Matt the owner was great and Casey our waitress was so great. We had two pizzas and they were fantastic and tried 10 different beers via flights. All great. Overall great spot. 5stars. And if you re from the maritimes there s a special menu item you can t get anywhere around here. Ask Matt for the inside scoop.
Great pizza and beer
Beers are good but no pride in the country. They refuse to fly a Canadian flag. Wont be back. Update: Its Canada Day 2024 and this establishment is still refusing to fly a Canadian flag. I bet the hammer and sickle will fly here before a red and white maple leaf will. Wow.
Excellent beer and pizza! Our server Jennifer was awesome too!! Planning to go back soon
Always a good time at 555! Great dog-friendly patio, very consistent hours, good beer, good prices. I find it very hard to walk Main Street and not stop for a drink :)
A really nice place, food was great as well as the service
First time in Picton interesting place. Beer is quite good and inside ambience is nice. What is not nice is the brain dead NPC theme of I support the current thing agenda. Support LGBQT? Yeah we get it. Support Ukraine shadow proxy war? Yeah we get it you like killing people with tax dollars. Post posters of mental illness? Ok. Well just so you know not everyone wants these agenda themes shoved in their face. My kids dont need to see it. Do better.
Three of us, all seniors, were there last Friday night. The waitress was nice, and the atmosphere was good. We ordered two wraps and a small pizza. The food was delicious, but it took 40 minutes for the food to be served. We had grown quite unhappy with the long wait. We concluded that the kitchen was short-staffed.
We came here for some beers and also ordered the vegan pesto pizza. It was one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time! Absolute recommendation if you are in the area!
Went here with my friends tonight and waited 40 minutes to be approached by the server. She finally took my and my one friends drink order and took another 20 minutes to get the actual drink. Then we were all looking at the menu and she asked are you getting food in a rude tone. I stated yes. She scoffed and said ok great sarcastically then proceeded to walk away. This is my second time here. I recommended it to my friends for our night out because last time was good. I was extremely embarrassed that I recommended it based on the service we got. Not sure if I will return. The pizza it s self was good but because it took so long to get service we were rushed out because it was closing.
Very slow service. Took us close to 1h to receive our pizza and salad. Restaurant was maybe 25% full. I highly suspect they use frozen pizza as a base then garnish them. Beer was excellent and staff was friendly. Decor and menu nomenclature is heavy on a certain social agenda.
Waitress oblivious to dogs eating on the outdoor tables and drinking water as well. (I have pictures) Well we clean our tables me... what about the cracks?... and did nothing!
The entire menu is incredible and they have easily the best pretzel bites around! The cozy, and welcoming atmosphere at 555 tops it as our favourite place to stop into when we are in Prince Edward County. Family owned & community focused are just two of the core value at 555 Brewing Co. Highly recommend if you re in the area. The owners are amazing, and the staff is incredible.
The best pizza, the best beer and the best crew. Love the 555
Great patio and spot for a beer on a hot summer day!
Love the selection of drinks (beer, wine and cider). Plus a great variety of wood fire pizza with gf and vegan options. By far the best patio on Picton main St (and its dog friendly!! )
As someone who lives in the county, I am a huge fan of 555. When their sours hit the taps and fridge, they fly off the shelf for a reason. Each family member in my house has their favourite pizzas, and we gobble up the desserts like no ones business. While I love their food, its the people who work at the fives that make it extra amazing. Staff turnover is at a minimum for a reason .. they are well looked after. Management creates a safe environment, prioritizing the safety of staff over that of an abusive customer. Take a look at the comments .. when folks leave a bad review and attack the staff, management jumps in and sets the story right while standing up for their staff. My kids know that if they are ever in Picton and need an adult or a safe place to go, the fives is that place. When local organizations needs help with prizes for donations, or folks are seeking a location to host a fundraiser, the fives are always there to say yes. Hey Nat & Drew, can you donate to my kids soccer team? YES! Hey, Nat & Drew, can you host a bingo night fund raiser? YES! Hey, Nat & Drew, can I host a period party and raise menstrual product donations for the community? Hell YES! Ignore the noise of the nay sayers. If you are looking for a safe space to hang with your buds, drinking a stellar beer and eating some zzas made with love, the fives is the place to go.
My friends, family, and I have been coming to 555 ever since we moved to the County a few years ago. We ve never had a bad experience and consistently have amazing service. The menu is constantly evolving with delicious choices and everything on tap that we ve tried has been great! We love coming for trivia nights, hosted by Nat (one of the owners). You can see her passion and enthusiasm for what she does, and it clearly rubs off on her amazing staff, because they are always simply wonderful! Can t give this place enough praise, will always come back!
Love this place for a welcome atmosphere, delicious beer and yummy pizza. We always love this place all year. Their events are even better. And the owners and staff are so friendly it really always feel welcoming and fun.
One of my favourite spots in the County. The beers and pizza are fantastic and the staff is amazing. It s a safe and welcoming space for everyone. Plus they have amazing trivia nights in the spring and fall. I would highly recommend checking them out.
555 is a favourite spot for locals and we often bring our visitors there too. There s a huge patio, a great selection of craft beer brewed on-site, and a small but mighty menu including pizza (dill pickle & blue cheese one is mmmm), wraps & salads. The owners have created a vibe that is warm and inclusive and they consistently give back to the community through volunteering, donating, and by hosting various events and fundraisers. Serving staff are friendly and attentive,, even on days when they are jammed and clearly running full tilt. Highly recommend!
The 5s is the best patio, wood-fired pizza and brew-pub going! Bonus, the patio is dog friendly and welcoming for the whole family. Im a repeat, year-round customer and am happy to share my experience-based review: 1. This is a welcoming space for everyone. 2. Its an intimate spot, so sometimes theres a wait. Trust me, good things are worth waiting for. 3. The menu includes salads, wraps, nibbles and dessert, but the wood-fired pizza is so good and there are so many options - youll struggle to choose! Plus, all of the dietary bases are covered with vegan, vegetarian and gf options. Number 4 vegan is my standard, with a pint of Light, formerly Judge. Nat, Drew, Brandi, Matt and the rest of the 5s team are wonderful, kind, and deliver a great dining experience. In addition, they support the community in so many ways, its tough to list. If youre on Main and looking for a great meal, 555 is the place.
One of my fave locals and always excited to see what s brewing
This heartful community hub has the most amazing pizzas, its always hard to choose which one Im going to go with. My two teens love the wraps, the pretzel bites and the east coast garling fingers... the chicken Caesar wrap too. Great beer and they carry local cider - Im always on the look out for cider since I am super sensitive to gluten. They even have a vegan pizza so when I have friends with me who are vegan, man are they happy about getting a pizza! I cant leave out is how this family run business is a welcoming space for ALL humans, and you notice this before even walking up to the door. The owners are constantly supporting community groups, fundraisers, and helping to elevate others. If only all humans, all businesses lived by this model. If youre reading negative comments in these reviews its from a slew of accounts (a number of fake accounts too) choosing to target a small business who really didnt deserve it. Just plain hate. Isnt it funny how small people always have to create hate and lies about the ones doing things in life that are BIG & BEAUTIFUL. Love Love Love - 555!!!!
Our Favourite spot for welcoming staff, great drinks, amazing Pizzas, and community cheer!
555 would get a 10 10 10 from me if I could!! This is not just a brewery that serves great pizza. This is a family run small business, that is so beyond welcoming to all. Which is rare these days...they take it a step up though... 555 supports locals and gives employment to locals all year long. They provide a year round 11:30am - 9pm place to hang, eat, drink and be merry to all. 555 gets involved in community outreach, fundraising, youth sports... you name it - their vision, culture and endeavour for all is so compassionate. We should all take notes! See a review complaining about slow service? This is a small town, 555 is a small kitchen, and they work their butts off to be able to sling a million pizzas and beers when a who town plus tourists are hungry. Reader beware - Ive read all the reviews and some gave horrible reviews when they werent even a patron - is this what we all behave like? People like this - stay home and Brew your own beer, make your own pizza... and have some balls to write from a really Google account so we can all see your legal name.
One of the best places to go for a brew and pizza in Picton! Best patio hands down for people watching and taking in the Picton vibes on a warm summers day. Delicious beer, yummy pizza, and a warm welcoming and inclusive environment.
555 is a fun place for everyone - and we need more community hubs like this with excellent service who are here and welcoming to every guest that comes through. Proud to support local business that supports the diverse needs of the County.
Great beer, lots of classic styles and some fun stuff too. Love the atmosphere, probably one of the best patios in Picton!
Great pizza, good beer, nice patio, all from a family run small business. Ignore the negative reviews from folks who didnt even bother to eat here. Were lucky to have 555 here in the County.
Great food and beer but even better service. Feel very fortunate to call 555 my local!
Lovely place, great food and drinks
I booked a table on the patio for a bachelorette we were in town for (pretty last minute too) and 555 was truly the perfect spot! The vibe on the patio was perfection, the food and drinks were delicious (and it was so appreciated that the menu caters to our gluten free and vegan friends!), and the service was excellent. Will absolutely come back next time I m in town!
Love this spot!. Great for the family or date night. Great beer, food and vibes. Highly recommend!
Our favourite brewery in PEC! Best beer, pizza, service and smiles. Welcoming to everyone and appreciate us regulars/return customers. Can t say enough about this place! 555!!!
Love this place! The witness is my fav beer :) Not sure what is the political addenda in peoples comments, as well as the accusations of them selling frozen pizza? Picton is a small town that runs on tourism. Last time I checked its a free country if you dont like it move on, stop with the hate This isnt downtown Toronto where you get things with a finger snap.
Great beer. Great pizzas. Beautiful plants hanging from the ceiling. Wonderful community place in PEC for food and drink and especially their events! Trivia nights and Drag nights are
Wicked patio, delicious pizzas, great staff, awesome beers, and located right in the heart of downtown Picton!
Can t say enough great things about this spot. Large selection of delicious pizzas, awesome beer to enjoy on their patio or for takeaway and super friendly staff and service. Also right on Picton Main Street. Must stop when in the County!
Our favourite local pizza spot in Picton. Delicious food, wonderful staff and great beer! Check out their dog friendly patio in the summer - such a fun time!
Great beer, great pizza, great staff!
Our server was Kiersten she was friendly, efficient, and she didn t stop hustling and serving people on the patio, even through a tornado warning. Highly recommend the Shade- Black IPA and Jaded- West Coast IPA. The washroom was clean and smelt like a spa.
Great local patio, friendly staff, good beer and pizza.
A Picton gem run by the nicest folks. We have been coming to 555 for years and keep coming back. It is never a disappointment - the food is delicious. Great service. And our fridge has their beers on regular rotation. The pickle pizza (TRUST ME) is a must try. This place also boasts a stellar patio for people watching and keeping you in the shade.
Always a great time at the fives!
I have visited many times, and have been lucky enough to become a Mug Club Member. I love the fact the pizzas change up regularly, the beer is always cold, and there is always a smile waiting for me at the counter! Warm summer afternoons enjoying a Pizza and a Pint on the patio whilst people watching is a PERFECT 10! Managment and Staff are a class act! You need to visit here!
555 is a true local gem and I cant wait to go back! This place feel like the heart of Picton! I have been a few times over the past 2 years and every visit is guaranteed to come with great beer, delicious pizza warm customer service! I just moved to the area a few month ago and the staff have been great with helpful advice, recommendations and have added to my social calendar with their many events (bingo, drag nights, etc). Go with an open heart and empty stomach and you will leave full and happy!
Incredible pizza. Incredible beers. Incredible people. One of my favourite places for sure.
My family and I love 555! We ve been going here for a few years and were originally drawn in by the beer and unique pizzas on the menu. At the time, they had a butter chicken pizza that we couldn t get enough of (please bring it back!!). We love the blue cheese pizza with dill pickles. One of a kind! My little one, who has been eating here since she was 2 (now 5) loves the pretzel bites. Hubby and I love trying their different beers and we usually leave with a few cans to take home. Their patio is great. We usually prefer to sit outside and it s great when we have the dog with us. The staff are always friendly and very accommodating. 10/10 every time.
My daughter and I had lunch here just over a week ago and we had the best time! I don t drink beer, but the pizza was delish and the staff were the warmest and friendliest people. I look forward to returning on a cooler sunny day with the patio in full swing!
Love the Fives! Great pizza, great drinks, great patio. Staff is super friendly, owners are awesome people and the vibes are always fun and welcoming. A County gem!
We love 555! The gluten free pizza is amazing. The patio is huge, the service always amazing and of course dog friendly. Love the inclusivity and the welcoming vibes.
This is my go to place! Best gluten free pizza & always look forward to a night out here. Great if you are also just stopping in for a drink, I would recommend to all.
Awesome pizza! Great vibe, great beer, the lager is my fav!! Friendly staff. Thank you for being awesome.
I had a great time at 555 when we visited the county! This place is slammed during tourist season, so be prepared to wait if youre set on dining in. The pizza was excellent and everyone was super friendly. You can really tell they put a lot of love, time and care into the Picton community and there were a lot of customers on the patio around us, that the staff remembered and knew by name. We really were treated like family, it was a good vibe.
The pickle pizza is my favourite but honestly, everything is delicious. Garlic fingers and donair sauce = yummmmm. Great beers too. Friendly staff, amazing patio, kid and dog friendly. One of my favourite places in the county
We have always had good service and good food at 555. Really appreciate the open and inclusive environment that is here. Servers are fun too. If I had to make one recommendation, Matt, the Manager should wear less clothes.
Always a great time at 5s !!
Im new to the area and when I moved here two months ago, one of the first places that caught my eye was the 5s. Its a beautiful location with such a friendly and welcoming vibe, which is extremely important to me as a queer woman sho hasnt always had safe experiences in public places. Luckily, a local who was showing me around my second week here treated me to lunch st the 5s and I wasnt disappointed one bit! They had pizza, I had a wrap with chips, and it was all so so so good. Service was impeccable and quick, music was excellent, indoor vibes were lovely. Im excited to come back and try the patio so I can bask in the beautiful rainbow mural these fine folks have on their walkway. Thank you for being an important piece of this communitys social fabric
Me, my partner, and friends love going to 555 for pizza and beer! Always such a good time here! The pizzas are delicious, prices are reasonable, and great beer selection!
This is my favorite pizza place in all of Ontario! If you want the most delicious pizza, the most welcoming staff, and most amazing array of beers; then this is your pizza place! I spend a good 90% of my time away from the county and without fail always make time to eat here. The pizza is cooked to perfection in a wood fire oven and I dream about pizza #3 (balsamic reduction, caramelized onion, smoked duck breast, brie, arugula). Their pizza is perfect both on a hot summer day and a cold winter evening. No matter the weather, the staff here always make me feel welcome and I always leave happier than when I arrived.
Whenever were in Picton we are sure to swing by 555. Their pet friendly (and heated in the winter) patio makes it the perfect spot to grab a bite after taking the pups out for a good hike on one of the local trails. The pizza is phenomenal as are their house beer choices.
Great food. Great beer. Great people!
If you re visiting the county you gotta check out this place!! I ve been here multiple times and every time is amazing! The pizza is so fresh and delicious! The pickle pizza is a must try! I ve tried all the beers and loved them all! I recommend getting a flight of beers if you go. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back soon!
heard the owner doesnt give tips to employees at closed businesses. I heard they only took action on this after this review was posted. typical! will never go again!
Slow service. Chairs inside are metal and cold . I felt cold while eating dinner inside, mostly because it took a while to get 2 pizzas. Server was nice but didnt check on us. Spent $54 for 2 pizzas and two pops. Pesto pizza toppings with goat cheese was really good, crust was not as good as other stone fired pizza crusts. The plants were a nice touch. Music would have been nice.
Decent pizza and location; however the prices do not match quality. Disappointing that a drizzle of chilli oil on a $22 small personal pizza costs an additional $2. And they won t mention the additional cost, they just offer you chilli oil and then charge you for it.
Good pizza, great vibes.
We were here in the summer. Great beers and great pizzas and fantastic atmosphere. Came back in February with a larger group. Pizzas seemed smaller and we could not see beer prices anywhere. Had to ask. Wind the clock forward to present. We came back for another try. What a change. Back to the same great food, atmosphere and beer as we remembered. Oh, and the staff were awesome! Thank you! We will be back for more.
Great Beer & Pizza! Worth a stop when visiting Picton.
Really nice spot for a meal. The pizza squirrel nut brown ale was really good and so was the wood fired pizza. I would definitely come here again.
The ambiance here is lively and fun. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food just about passed muster. The queso tasted jarred and not fresh. The pizzas were on the bland side, but decent.
Such fabulous service! Weve been there about 5 times and every time we run into Sydney - what a wonderful server. Would highly recommend. The pizza is to die for and highly recommend the pretzels.
This place was great. Friendly staff, reasonable wait for take out, and the pizzas were all delish.
Food was amazing, vibe and service was awesome as well. Highly recommend!
Great patio, it s the place to be in Picton every summer.
This was a super surprise. Great pizza, usually prefer thin crust, but their dough is light and fluffy with generous toppings. Nice little local wine selection, great local beer selection. Yes its a pizza joint people ... if you want wings dont go here! Matt was a great server ... only wished I had remembered to thank the pizzaiolo (a?) the young woman who sure knew how to bake pizza ... Thanks well be back!
Charlotte....what can I say? She was helpful, understanding of what I wanted, and a pure delight.
Pizza was amazing! Definitely worth checking out!
Great pizza, great atmosphere! There was a miscommunication when we ordered over the phone, but they corrected in very quickly and the pizzas were delicious!
Great service and great food. You have to try it.
Amazing pizza, great beer, queer friendly. Whats not to love?
I love 555 Brewing Co. The pizzas, especially number 11 but all are awesome. Light but crispy crust, great herbs and spices. Their beer is top notch!
Great beer. Great food. Great vibe. We love the atmosphere and that its kid and dog friendly. One of our go-to spots.
That was the worst pizza I ever had. There was a long hair on my pizza, which is always a turn-off but I was starving, so I tried a slice that was not touching the hair. It made me wonder if their pizzas start off frozen, as the dough was very gummy & off-putting. I d actually prefer a store-bought frozen pizza. The server was friendly, but my friends & I will never go back.
Go for the beer and tacos but skip the pizzas. Fair enough, nachos not tacos. But pizza crust shouldnt have the taste and consistency of cardboard.
Popped by for a takeout lunch of beer, pretzel bites and a pizza. Great staff... super friendly. Excellent food and beer!
I really enjoyed this little gem. I found their brew to be some of the best craft Ive tried (Jury and Pizza), very smooth and clean. We ordered a pizza and it did not disappoint!
Such a great location for delicious 12-inch pizzas and great brewed beer. The service was fantastic, quick and friendly. Would 100% recommend if you are ever in the area.
Great pizza and prices. Chill vibe, patio option in the summer. Clean and friendly staff
We were greeted by a very personable guy (unfortunately did not catch his name. I think maybe it was Drew?) but he let us know there was a brief wait time of 10-15 minutes before we could be seated. We were lucky and it wasnt to bad wait wise. I could see needing reservations in the summertime if its busy in town. Our server Brandy was amazing. She was funny, personable and took good care of us throughout our whole meal. We stopped by during countylicious and were able to try a variety of menu items. We started with the spinach salad. The house vinegarette was tasty and paired very well with the goat cheese. The app that we had was the pretzel bits. They were perfectly salted and the queso dip was sooo good. It is also an option to get chips and queso which I could see this being good as well. The main entree we had both gotten wood fired pizza. The #3 which had balsamic reduction, brie cheese, smoked duck breast and caramelized onions. And the #4 which consisted of pesto, sundried tomato, mushrooms, goat cheese and onions. Both were very good . I preferred the #3 but the #4 was also outstanding. Im not the type to normally dip my pizza crusts but if you are here you HAVE to try the donair sauce. It is a sweet garlic sauce. The drinks were all good. We tried a flight of beers which included the Judge, the jury, the footprint and the pizza squirrel. Our personal favourites were the Judge and the jury. This place has a very nice patio and if youre in the area I recommend stopping by and trying the brews!
Really nice pizza. Light crust with nice topping combos. The IPA was very nice. Loved the outdoor patio vibe
Best gluten free pizza I ve ever had. Crispy, bubbly, chewy. If you didn t know, you wouldn t know!!!! Can t wait to visit again!
Service was great, and the atmosphere was fun. The pizzas are decent, but I have had better pizzas. Good for a quick meal in Picton.
Great ambience, and location, best feature is that they allow dogs on the patio . Pizza and beers were more on the average side. Service was courteous albeit slow
555 Brewing Co has an excellent front of house crew. Friendly, fun to be around and knowledgeable about the beer 555 is brewing. We really enjoyed our pizzas, and the flight of beer. You can also buy any of the brews youve enjoyed for takeaway. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for the enjoyable evening. Just as wonderful as it was 2 years ago.
The vegan pesto pizza was really good. We added some chili oil and it made it even better. Great selection of beer as well. The staff are really friendly!
I always stop here when I visit Picton! Great brews and staff.
Fantastic service every time.Great music. Awesome place. Matts a hottie!
Great food,great drinks, great staff
Excellent service, great food, better beer, whatmore could you ask for!
Pizza worth traveling for (especially if you have Celiacs) and great beer. Always a must stop for us.
We drove from Toronto and stopped here for late lunch. The brewery serves great beer and pizza. We were happy with the service too.
From the beginning to the end was a complete disappointment. No ice for drinks, really?? Ordered bbq chicken pizza which was okay but very dry, when asked if we could have a little more bbq sauce we were told thats how it comes and we would have to pay an additional $2 if we wanted more bbq sauce. Come on guys wheres the customer service. We talked to the so called manager before leaving who was very dismissive and had a very poor attitude. Even now,two weeks later Im still upset with the way we were treated .
I ordered 2 pizzas to take out. Very big disappointment. In no way comparable to what I saw in the photos. A frozen grocery store pizza would have been better. Our pizzas were small and dry. There was a lack of sauce and condiments. Inedible crust.
First off, this place won me over with playing 90s Batman on the TV. This is truly a place of culture. Haha Joking aside. The pizza was really good. They also let me make a substitution to my pizza. Most places get fuzzy when you want to alter a dish. The fact they didnt is amazing. We got the pretzel bites as dessert. The icing was soon good. Reminded me of Dunkaroos icing. This place is an absolute banger. Drink choice: Cerveza. Its a great afternoon beer with Lunch.
Ordered 5 pizzas, 1garlic fingers and 4 take out salads Monday evening. Arrived at the appointed time for pick up, paid and had a couple minutes wait while they boxed fresh pizzas. One was missing. There would be 7 minute wait & they d keep the others warm ok. 12-15 minutes later last pizza came out. Piled up the 6 boxes had to ask for 2 of them from the warmer twice, collected the salads and headed home. They d pulled an old pizza from the warmer .the one I d been waiting on and kept the fresh one. No apology for the unneeded wait not cool! Home .2 #1 margaritas over cooked, dry, little sauce, where s the mozzarella? #10 waaaay over cooked #13 the waited upon, but given old pizza. Thick chewy (used a steak knife), congealed cold cheese. #8 not in box but yet another #13. Thin crust but again over cooked. Finally found the #8 in garlic fingers box. NO garlic fingers. Redemption of order 4 good salads. However I cannot eat them and I got the #13. $180 for salads and what became compost. The pizzas were awful. We are PEC residents with visitors who did specifically asked for pizza. We d been before and enjoyed our food. Last night we were embarrassed by what we received. As residents we may give it another chance however there are many wood fired pizzas I d eat first.
Awesome pizza! Great beer! Helpful staff! Who could ask for anything more?!
Bad service, mediocre food/drink
Waited over an hour for pizza that was both burnt at the crust and undercooked in the middle. Beer was flat. If you re going to specialize in pizza and beer, work on it.
Wonderful craft beer and pizza! Definitely appreciate the great west coast IPA for the heavy IBU drinkers. Also, excellent CANCON playlist!
For those looking for a good pizza, this is the place. We ordered 2 pizzas and it was delicious !! It s a must have for pizza lovers like me :)
We were there the end of June. We would have liked to be outdoors but for a seating of 7 we had to sit inside. Waited longer than usual for our order (though we were forewarned) and it wasnt al that great when it arrived. The waitress was terrific but the management wasnt The grunge music was turned up so loud we could not hear one another across the table, so i asked if the music could be turned down a bit, but the manager refused. im glad she likes her music really loud when she works, so next time i will go dine where i can hear my group talk.
Incredible barely describes it! I had the number 3, and I dont think pizza will ever be the same again. Very friendly service
Amazing food! A friend and I came here because we heard they had authentic East Coast garlic fingers with donair sauce. We were not disappointed! The pizza and garlic fingers came out piping hot, the crust was nice a crunchy and the flavours were amazing. The donair sauce tasted like something you could find in an East Coast pizza place. Highly recommended this place for your garlic finger fix, especially if you are from the east coast! We will definitely be back again soon!
Dont go there if youre hungry. 40 minutes of waiting to get a table and then 1 hour of waiting to be served the pizza. In addition, dishes are not served together for people at the same table.
We had great service. Everyone was so nice and toughtfull. LOVED my experience at the 555 Brewing Co!
When we arrive, there were about 15 available seats but the waitress said there was a waiting list of people (nowhere to be seen) and we would be called when some seats will be available (despite already being available...). We asked if we could sit on empty seats at empty tables in the meantime and could leave when someone need to sit here, we were told no... We were called after 15mn, maybe 6 or so seats have been used but still not the others... We were warned the pizzas would take about 30mn and we accepted, they arrived after 35mn, so its already been quite some wait to this point but fine. Both pizzas were WAY overcooked..My wife was 0% willing to send it back to wait another 35mn and so decided to grate the burned bits off, the top, the crust, remove the burnt basilic leafs...I dont know how the chef and waiters are not ashamed to serve such a pizza...? Finally, there was a piece of ham on my wifes pizza who specifically took the margarita as shes vegetarian...so not a good surprise either...
Good beer; good pizza and great people ! Our server, Charlotte, made our visit enjoyable...Thanks
Aug 12/23 we went to 555 brewing co for dinner . We were a party of 8 ! Besides the lack of engagement from the staff when giving our water and menus , a terrible storm blew in . Everyone ran for cover to any and available doors to restaurant . We party of 8 ended up in the kitchen pantry area . Needless to say someone came and said we can t be there and kicked us out !!! In to the storm . Yes we are from the county and No will not return to this restaurant ever . Poor customer service from the moment we stepped into this place . Sat at a dirty old picnic table . And then needless to say no compassion for their patrons . Is this how we treat people now !!!
We are a couple visiting from Western Canada. Stumbled across this gem located in Picton. Just what we needed after our road trip. Great food, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. We highly recommend the garlic fingers and of course the brews
Great brewery, beer was hoppy and fresh, pizza were great and well sized to share! Thank you
So glad we found this place! Very lovely dog friendly patio, attentive staff and amazing pizza!
Best pizza around, chill spot to relax and have a delicious beverage.
Had an amazing experience tonight at 555! Staff were uber friendly and the food was amazing! Xoxoxo 10/10 recommend
Some of the best pizza you can get. Similar to Kingstons Woodenheads but not as expensive! The beer selection was also superb.
Pizza is way below average
My boyfriend and I make regular visits to 555 Brewing Co. because of the convenient location in downtown Picton, the wonderful staff and the above average pizza & beer. We love the atmosphere and to top it all off, they have a dog friendly patio which makes our visits all the more enjoyable because we get to bring our furry friend along. Could not recommend 555 enough!
Great staff, pizza and beer! Beautiful inside and patio. Had the peach beer (gender fluid) which was delicious.
Mediocre pizza at silly prices, served by a staff and manager exuding unwelcome tude to a captive out-of-town customer base who dont know better than to avoid, avoid, avoid.
Excellent sour beers!
Food was great but the service took more than 30 minutes.
Lovely setting however there was mostly seating for larger groups and those on 2s or 3s were left standing. Enjoyed the pretzel bites with he East Coast donair sauce.
The gluten free pizza here was delicious! One of the best I ever had. If you are celiac like me, the owner said to inform them so that they could take the correct precautions. The meal was on the expensive side, $50 for 1 pizza and 1 glass of wine, but the pizza is large and could be shared or youll have leftovers. Patio is very large, inside is smaller. It took a whole to get a table but after that the service was good. Highly recommended.
Food selection is a bit lacking, mainly just pizza and a few other items. I didnt really want pizza but wanted to try their beer and was hungry so I ended up ordering a pizza. The pizza dough was a bit too thick for my liking. It would have been nice if they serve other pub food like wings.
Pizza was amazing...again. We just keep coming back!!!
Great late lunch! Our server was kind and welcoming! The pizza was delicious and the atmosphere is really nice! Thanks again:)
Really good pizza. Not thin crust but crispy and light. Excellent beers and terrific service
Really enjoyed this lunch stop for pizza and beer. A nice selection of really good craft beer and a fantastic selection of pizza options. A great job featuring a great combination. The American Pale Ale called Rooted is my new favorite local beer.
Excellent pizzas.
Since we were in the area, my boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner. It was a Monday night so I expected it to be quiet. Boy was I wrong. There was a wait for a table inside or out. The wait wasn t long and the food made up for it. We were seated at a high stop outside that did not have the most comfortable seats. One reason for the 4 star rating was the seating. Being 6 months pregnant likely didn t help for my comfort. We asked to move to a standard table since one had opened up and were told another group was coming in. Another group never uses that table while we were there. Our server apologized for the delay in advance for our pizza. We ordered a Caesar salad to share which tied us over all until our pizza arrived. I was really happy to see they offered gluten free crust. The other reason for my 4 star rating was that the gluten free crust was an additional $5. I think that s a little unreasonable since those of us who can t have gluten really only have that option. The gluten free crust was excellent though. I would put it in my top 3. I ordered the #2 (gluten free crust) and my boyfriend got the #8 (regular crust). We both enjoyed our pizza and felt we likely could have got one and shared since we both had left overs. Great pizza spot. My suggestion is to either sit inside or at the standard tables on the patio.
Do not eat here. One of our guests had food restrictions and they were not able to order anything from the menu and they wouldnt let them sit with us. Very disappointed. Please boycott this place.
We arrived and ordered two beers and a pizza to share. We waited an hour for the pizza, and then decided to move on - asking for the bill. We were then told that our pizza was about to go in the oven, and would be another 10 minutes max - we insisted on paying the bill and leaving - and were then told by the waitress that they will throw the pizza in the garbage . No apologies, no customer service. Avoid at all costs.
Great place good beer and an amazing pizza will definitely stop in again when in town
Very good vegetarian pizza cool place
The service is great, the food was good and the beer was good!
Excellent beer and the pizza was fantastic!
Great beer, great food, great music and awesome staff!!! A gem in picton
Great pizza garlic fingers and beers! Cheers!
Fantastic beer and pizza. A welcoming atmosphere and kind staff. Couldnt ask for more.
Beer was decent. Taste is subjective. Got the 5x5 flight. I really enjoyed the dark pizza squirrel beer. The rest I was not a fan of. But thats not their fault. The review comes from the experience with the pizza. In my opinion the cheese was way overcooked but the pizza crust itself wasnt that light airy crust outside, soft inside texture you get from cooking in a stone oven. The crust just seemed soft and not cooked enough It was filling and overall decent taste. I got the meat lovers one with bacon, pepperoni, and smoked pepperoni. It had that distinct taste you get from putting bacon on pizza that you usually get from any franchise pizza place. So immediately I wasnt crazy about it, but I still ate it. My wife got the pizza with the artichoke. That was pretty decent. As an Italian, Im glad they dont market their pizzas as Italian and give them an Italian name to sound hip like some other winery pizzerias in PEC that drop the ball hard trying to deliver. This place is more realistic. Overall decent and I would go back to try other pizzas should I ever return to PEC.
This rating is for the quality of the beer and the service. I did not eat in. I walked in to purchase some kraft beer from the cooler near the entrance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing me to sample what they had on tap. I found one that I love...... The Judge! Deliciousness in a can! ... for a very decent price as well. If youre in Picton, try The Judge at 555 Brewing Co.!! Their Kolsch is worth a try as well.
Best pizza ever. Such a great little friendly Brew House with the added bonus of fantastic staff and great atmosphere.
Delicious pizza! Fresh ingredients and great portion!
Really cool place to have some local beers. Their ipas are amazing... And their pizza is absolutely top-notch. Keep up the great work and hope to see you guys again soon
Super evening, music is not very loud and we can hear each other, pizza was delicious, we enjoyed all the beers and the 2 super folks who served us tonight !
