Rockford Grill in Prince George

Although the layout of this restaurant isnt my favourite, it has a good atmosphere. Food and service were fantastic. Thanks Samantha!

first off the place was pretty empty. we had great service. the menu was super small not alot of selection..menu was a one sided one. i ordered the salmon and it was great. my husband had steak and that was ok too. nothing out of this world just ordinry food. stuff i can cook at home. prices r quite high for my liking. restraunt seemed clean. would i go again, probably not. Mr. Mikes is so much better and worth it compared to Rockford grill.

Came in after working a long day, just wanted a good steak. They quit serving food at 930....offered me alcohol. I came for a good meal not booze.

Went to Rockford Grill for an early dinner today after a very busy day (first time eating there). Im so glad we went there! We were greeted with a big smile, taken to a table right away. We were served our drinks and appetizer with hardly any wait at all, and again served with a smile! It was happy hour so the price was great! Our meals came in good time and were so delicious! The banana dessert was a perfect end to a perfect dinner! I have to thank our server (but dont remember her name!) and Christopher for going above and beyond and making my daughters birthday special! THANK YOU SO MUCH WE WILL BE BACK! Theres so many things on the menu that we want to try!!!

The service was amazing. Great atmosphere, sport bar/swanky all in one. The Rockford burger is perfectly done. The tuna poke bowl is giant and loaded with flavor. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed an awesome lunch for my colleagues birthday. There were 7 of us and the service was phenomenal. Our server Page was a delight, very informative and attentive. Everyone at the table was happy with their dishes and said they would order them again. We sampled all of the desserts, Toffee Pudding, Fried banana cheesecake thing and brioche bites with ice cream... all very delicious. We will definitely be coming back. The food was good, Page was fantastic!!

Parking: Went for brunch on Saturday. We had a fantastic breakfast- Small breakfast with sausage and tomato slices and French toast. Our server Thomas is the absolute best. He was friendly, attentive and remembered me from last visit and knew I liked tomato slices on the side. Rockford food is always delicious whether you go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Of course HAPPY Hour appies from 3 to 6 are great value and delicious Asian fusion. All the staff deserve kudos as they are always fabulous too!!

My experience with this place is always top notch. It s my favourite place to go before a cougars game as their specials are awesome. Food always comes out fantastic and their drinks made to perfection. I m a frequent business traveller and this is a hotel restaurant - what can one expect? Usually the bare minimum. I ate several meals here as my host was also holding meetings and dinner events in the hotel: Three wins: 1) Asian and global touches made the food really delicious and interesting ( flavoured spice on snow peas along with Calamari). I had a pretty impressive bowl of Japanese Ramen (see pic). 2) Breakfast Yogurt with raspberry compote, honey, dulce de leche and granola was so delicious for a healthy option. I ate it daily and as my business was lecturing on my feet for 8 hours at UNBC - it was quality food fuel. 3) Frequent or busy travellers, don t miss their multiple options for breakfast on the go at the front desk. Have to order the night before but serious health/Protein option at a very fair price. (This is only at hotel) Staff were unbelievably warm and service was sharp, I was always on the run and was impressed each time. Wheelchair accessibility: Main floor safe individual washrooms with accessible washroom. A bonus for all.

I didnt stay but the aisphere was very inviting and the lady hostess was very helpful with directions and advice.

There are some good servers In prince george and some Great servers Paige is one of a select few Excellent servers we have come across! She greets her custom as they come in, She is pleasant and is always on top of any needs you may have. ie. Ive never had to wait for my empty glass to be refilled. She is always refreshingly upbeat! Whatever youre paying or its not enough!

I went there on Tuesday and had Laura as my server. She recommended me the avocado toast for breakfast and it was delicious. She was so friendly and kind. She was efficient and was very good about checking in throughout the visit! Would definitely return and hope to get Laura as my server again!

Our first time and this is now our new fav spot to eat when we visit PG! The atmosphere is great, service was fast and pleasant! We stayed at the sandman, but we reserved at Rockford grill before I even knew it was attached!! So that was a bonus! Ate in one night and brought back to the room the following night. Both excellent!! Highly recommend the lemongrass chicken, fried rice and crispy chicken burger!! Thank you Rockford!!

Took my daughters for dinner and they loved it. Server was very nice, they did not make the ramen bowl non-spicy and she took it back and had another made. the ramen bowl was for my daughter who loves ramen noodles. If you love burgers then get the Rockford Burger, ( i forgot the name, there is two burgers on the menu with Rockford, the beef one. ) It is flamed grilled, I knew when I had my first bite. Id definitely be going back just to have that burger again. Many more things that are good but dont want to make it a long review. haha The craft beer on tap was very good.

I stopped into the Rockford this afternoon to pick up food to go. I always order the Ramen because it is my favourite in town and the ultimate comfort food. I was having a really rough day and your server Paige *really* made my day. I don t drink alcohol so I asked if any of the slush in the machines were alcohol free and the margarita mix was. I sat at the bar and she poured me a glass. It was a sweet little pick me up that I really needed. Her customer service was 10/10! The ramen was also 10/10 as always so shout out to the kitchen staff as well. Thank You to the Rockford for the pick me up I so desperately needed today! <3

Had a great lunch at the Rockford with my wife. Calamari was fresh and perfectly cooked. She had a Cajun chicken salad that was beautiful, while I had a steak sandwich with Ceasar salad that was perfectly medium rare. Had a great lunch with a friend there. She has a lot of allergies, but our waitress Chelisa was very kind and patient with her as she explained what was in the dishes and even brought out the chef. Both of them were very polite in explaining the dishes, a testament to the pride in the food they served rather than merely answering questions so they could get us our food. I went to Rockford last Monday and had such a great experience. I had the eggs Benny and the service from Laura was out of the world!! 3.5/5 for the eggs Benny but 5/5 for the service !

Went out for a ladies night and the food was great!! Most importantly, the service we received from Brandon was 5 star! Very attentive, made great menu suggestions, followed up with the kitchen staff to ensure a GF request and had our table laughing each time they popped by to check on us.

Absolutely the best timecwas had by my Aunt and I on Wednesday afternoon. Our server Brandon provided theeeeee best service I have had in PG in ages. Charming, charismatic, knowledgeable of menu and never once left us wondering what was next. Seriously he was born to for this! And as for the food??? I had the Pork Ramen and my Aunt had the Spring Rolls. Both were fantastic, I could eat that Ramen everyday!!!! We Aldo had a draft light lager beer and the Passion Fruit soda. Both delightful! Lunch took over an hour to get, not ideal when holding meetings at the same location and they knew we were coming. Multiple orders were screwed up and arrived at erratic times like fries with the burger showing up 15 mins after the burger, wrong dishes being sent and one of our party not receiving a salad until almost all others had completed their meal. This was day two of meetings and the previous day wasnt much better. 1/10 on those two visits.

The food was really good. We had a large party of people attend the restaurant in PG. Reservation was made for 7pm for approx 36 people. We were sat with one long table that the kids (14 total) sat at and then 3 tables of adults (6 per table). We asked if each parent could order the child s food for 2 reasons one so the parent knew what the kid ordered and 2 so the waitress knew which kid order belonged to which parent. She waitress said no because she wanted to make sure each order went to the correct seat. 9pm we go go to leave at 9pm, the waitress asked us to sit down because she was confused by which order goes with which person. It took her 50 minutes to sort out the bills, she cried when it was pointed out to her that it was taking too long (most of us had kids under 12 with us). Said she usually only hostesses so this was a lot for her. There was obviously an 18% gratuity on top as well (as there should be for a large seating). But paying 18% gratuities and then waiting 50 minutes for your bill is a bit ridiculous. I asked to speak to a manager and said that we should have been offered a discount for those of us who had to wait so long, she said that we made the waitress cry, and that it s not the restaurants fault. Overall horrible experience.

Food wasnt bad and some options quite reasonably priced. Did not like the fact that they automatically added the tip amount to the cheque. The atmosphere was too noisy so you cant have a decent conversation.

On April 29 2023, we prearranged a meet/greet for over 30 people. Keep in mind it was a Friday. The staff, food, drinks and communications to arrange were above a 5 star experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. BRAVO

They had listed Wild Mushroom Soup. But made with regular mushrooms. It was a nice soup but very disappointed that not wild.

Happy Hour menu is actually pretty good (highly recommend) and $5 beers - im staying at Sandman Signature and stayed for 4 nights and ate here for dinner for happy hour every single day and so grateful this restaurantis is down the hall - all servers/bartenders are super nice and wonderful! 5 stars all around

My goodness this place was awesome! We got to the sandman and I was starving so we were like should we try the Rockford? We went over there and it was amazing service and amazing food. We will definitely be coming back here next time we re in Prince George. We had the Lemongrass chicken, and the Udon.

Absolutely terrible experience from the second I walked in the door. My group was told that due to children being at the table and being more than 8,(less than 8 adults) That automatically an 18% gratuity is added. I am ok with tipping but the approach the woman had before I even sat down and had a second was quite brash. I asked to speak to the manager but he was unwilling to speak to me or the group. The food was salty, terribly overpriced for portions. Bathrooms were a disaster. I couldn t even changed my daughter on the change pad as it had feces smeared across and was quite apparent it had not been cleaned in awhile. Overall sanitary efforts made at this Rockford location are below average. Wait staff were extremely rude and argumentative when paying the bill. I would love to talk to Rockford corporate about the absolutely terrible experience my family and I experienced. If I could give 0 and negative stars I would.

This place was great. I especially enjoyed the Bao Buns and Yam fries, as well as the lemon grass chicken bowl. Very reasonable prices and professional service. In particular, Amanda was very polite and cheerful, and offered some great suggestions for activities to do in Prince George. I d definitely recommend this establishment to any travellers coming through Prince George.

We ate at a few places around PG till we settled for our hotel bar. This was far from the case. The food was great and the atmosphere was better. Our server Amanda gave us the 10/10 experience with funny jokes and a beautiful smile. Would definitely recommend and will for sure be coming back.

This is not my first time to be here. I tried their Pad Thai before and it s 4/5 for me. This time I tried 3 new foods in their menu with recommendation from their chef cuisine. I loved the night market fried rice with the right amount of portion. Lemongrass chicken was good too. Didn t expect they will include pita bread with the white rice. Sfared pork ramen is good as well with a Korean feel while you are eating it. You ll taste the Kimchi flavor of the ramen. Generally, I like them all. Parking: Spacious and extended

The food is tasty and has diverse tastes. The Lemon Grass Chicken is like a combination of Malaysian and Thai cuisine. Very good service, Kudos to Chef Luwena and the whole staff. Thanks for the great experience. I will surely recommend this to my family and friends.

Went for happy hour and got great service. Price was acceptable as well. Have been here several times and it does not disappoint. Definitely a strong recommendation from me.

Went for breakfast & had the avo toast with poached eggs. Mandarines on the toast seemed like it might be a weird combo but was so delicious! Drip coffee was good too - strong and flavourful.

Vegetarian options: I asked for a lettuce salad. No problem , says the server. When this salad came, it was wonderful. Amazing flavours. Highly recommended. Food

Ordered from doordash and was missing an item, restaurant was really helpful and replaced the meal for free and included a 10$ gift card. Food was excellent as well!

Awesome food! We ordered Calamari with some shrimp, steak sandwich, steak & shrimp with mashed potatoes. I liked the calamari its so tender, not chewy. The store might look like closed because of the lightning outside, but when you get inside, the ambiance is great!

For the food that was being served it was good food considering it was a Christmas party

Food came out quickly and delicious. The waitress made us feel comfortable.

Our waitress took our order but seemed distracted. There was only two other couples in the place. My daughter got her wings only. We waited almost 25 mins for the rest of our food. My dish came but it wasnt Korean wings and my daughters quesadilla had so much cheese she had to squeeze some out to be able to eat it. The waitress finally came over and I told her this wasnt what I ordered and she proceeded to tell me it was. Rather than argue I ate it it was chicken thighs on rice. Instead of a quick snack I ate half of a meal that cost me 27 instead of 18. She said she could see what she could do??? Not sure how hard it would have been for her to bring me the right order. She was rude and we never saw her until we sat for 15 mins after we ate. NO TIP.
