Updated 2024.11.15. The food here is very good and recommendable. Their house salad was very tasty with blackberries. The Salmon Tagliatelle was really nicely done. Happy hour with a limited selection from 21:00. Free WiFi available, credit cards accepted. There was loud noise from upstairs that made the atmosphere unpleasant.

Decent food, decent service, a bit pricey, though. Love the hamburgers and the soups, pub style food, and atmosphere. Specials are also available. Enjoy. Parking: Free street parking varies with peak times busy and a little harder to find parking but not impossible. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level entrance. Some handicapped parking nearby on street.

Always a good time, nice staff and good food, I am a hard person to please in the rating of food. Super delicious I had the bacon eggs benedict I just found that the only thing for me was the hollandaise sauce was more vinegar then I prefer. And the day before I just had probably the best hollandaise sauce in a long time besides makeing my own. Still highly recommended going here for great food!

Food was good but somewhat pricy.. Also, not a fan of cafeteria style ordering your lunch. Definitely not very relaxing. You have to get up to wait in line to order lunch at the counter. Some people do have mobility issues. Maybe you should have a fast service at the counter for lunch time workers on limited time and a full service for those of us that want to relax??!!

I ordered takeout from Nancy Os tonight, and I was thoroughly impressed with the service. Over the phone, the staff was incredibly polite and helpful. When I picked up my order, the in-person service was equally outstanding. I believe the servers were named Jenny and John, and both were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Not only was the food delicious, but I will never order parm fries anywhere else, as these ones are the best!

Got kicked out for not having ID. Im pregnant with my second kid so i was not gonna be drinking and didnt expect to be ID so i didnt have it on me. Im clearly not under 19 and wasnt gonna be drinking due to pregnancy so not sure why i needed to be kicked out.

All I can say is WOW! My partner and I are vegan and were driving through PG on a road trip so we decided to stop here for take out because they had a vegan menu. The food was so delicious and so well executed for a non-vegan restaurant. The tempeh bacon BLT was everything I ve ever wanted in a sandwich. It was fresh, the bread was unreal, the tempeh was so crispy and full of flavour and the vegan dill mayo was amazing. My partner had the falafel black bean burger and it was absolutely huge and filling and stacked with yummy ingredients. The fries were so crispy and well-seasoned. We enjoyed every bite and were super impressed with the lovely staff and welcoming atmosphere inside. We need more of this execution from non-vegan pubs and restaurants in Vancouver because the options available are honestly terrible and if a little gastro pub in PG can hit it out of the park like this, there s no excuses.

This place is UNREAL !! Both the inside and outside are to DIE FOR cute ! And so well kept ! Super clean and shiny. The event space is so cool ! It s a must go for sure !! Their patio is dog friendly too !!

Ive been to NancyOs a few times over the years, and its ALWAYS a great experience--great food, great service, and great ambiance! My most recent visit was after this years Pride Parade, and we got a table in their outdoor patio area and it was stunning, lots of flowers and decent coverage from the sun while still enjoying the weather . 10/10, will go again

Poor service we sat there for 15 minutes before told that the menus are at the bar,then took the menu to our table and waited until we got up and asked! Then got a snarky reply how they are infront of us,and then they tried to put us on blast for no tip and then explained why too the yuppy waiter! Deffinetly not recommended unless your a liberal you will be rate at home

We showed up near last call for food, and the staff was really accommodating despite only one other customer this late. The food was excellent - very fresh. The Halibut tacos were about the best Ive had. My brothers Spicy Nanxy burger looked really great as well. Kudos to the bartender - an excellent Ceasar. Great music and friendly staff. I will definitely come back when Im in town again.

Got to sit out on the patio for the first time and it was fantastic. For being on the street it s really nice and quiet, people walking past don t bother you, and traffic isn t noticeable either. Service was great, highly recommend the calamari. Parking: Just make sure you park after 6pm and there is no ticketing.

Nancy Os is amazing. Alex and I had Long Island iced tea, made to perfection. Just the right amount of sweetness to liquor taste. Have to give props to the bar tender. For food I had the fish and chips. Reminded me of being back home in Newfoundland. Super thick filet battered just right. It was light and flakey. But also strong enough to handle my heave dips of tartar sauce. Alex had the Korean Fried Chicken tacos. She said they were great and the slaw with it was incredible. John our server is second to none on service. He was right there for everything and is even as Alex will put it - just the sweetest. Stop in and see John, tell them Kyle sent you lol.

Great restaurant in PG with sidewalk patio in the summer. They spend extra attention to detail on the dishes so they come out tasting and looking amazing. One bizarre thing about this restaurant is their slogan says everyone is welcome, young and old but actually kids are not allowed in the restaurant at all. They wont even serve kids on the sidewalk tables outside that are open in the summer.

My salad was just oil instead of a dressing. Very unappetizing. My burger was good but had a big mayo thumbprint on the top bun. Atmosphere is pretty nice but the food was disappointing.

Half shirt, plaid overshirt and jogging pants. Detracted from the experience as it is a bit more expensive for food and drink (excellent) but felt like I was at a truck stop.

First time eating here. Riley was an outstanding server, informative and great suggestions. We sampled a delicious trio of the burger options. The old fashioned burger was good and spicy, the southern fried chicken thigh sandwich was perfectly seasoned and the drunken bbq burger was perfect. Ample portions and flavors were nicely matched to the menu descriptions. The on tap beer selection is large and diverse, the cocktail menu is very well rounded as well. The atmosphere is busy but not so loud as to be an interference to conversation. This is a +19 establishment. Nancy Os is my favourite place in PG.. seriously, I am there 1-2 times a week. The atmosphere is fun and inviting; the food and specials are always delicious; and the cocktails and beer selection are great! Out of every restaurant in PG, Nancy Os is the place where I can tell the staff truly care. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and satisfied with your food/drinks, plus the staff are fun and so personable!

A group of us went here for supper. This place has a cool and upbeat vibe. The decor and atmosphere are casual. It was pretty busy when we arrived, but the servers were prompt and friendly. The drink menu has a great selection of regular cocktails, wine, and beer, and also some nice mocktails. For the meal I ordered the beef burger that came with mushrooms and brie. The burger was cooked well and it came with a generous portion of fries. Vegetarian options: One member of our party was vegetarian. They reported that they enjoyed their meal a lot.

Wow just wow. I think that was the best dinner out Ive hd in a couple years. The French dip was fantastic, the truffle parm fries with the truffle butter dip were hands down the best fries Ive ever had. And the czechvar lager was so smooth and delightful. This is where I eat in Prince George from now on!

Passing through Prince George to a campsite and one of our group found Nancy Os. Parked the two RVs and went to lunch. It was really good. Several of us had their hamburgers and one the French dip. Everyone thought they were fantastic with all the perfect ingredients and fat patties cooked to perfection. Went back several days later in the evening to repeat the process and was not disappointed at all. Nancy Os had good service, good food and a great atmosphere. Got to find a reason to travel that far again to repeat the experience.

Very bad food quality . Please don t go to this restaurant. I came from Vancouver and looking for good food here I searched good restaurants near me and decided to go there nobody can eat such garbage food , my frend got diarrhea and gas pain . Fries were so loose like 2-3 days old one . Food flies in my bread . Sooo poor foor . Pls don t serve such food

Came for lunch the other day. First thoughts , as a new customer, its not obvious what youre supposed to do right away as it feels like a restaurant. Anyways, I noticed signage seat self. Then I realized I needed to order at the bar too, OK got Ive this! Service was friendly when ordering. The only issue with service was the fellow who took away my plate at the table . He didnt acknowledge me nor asked me if i enjoyed my meal. Actually, no one asked how my meal was. I also needed to get my own refills. I dont know, just kinda tired of being asked to tip by places like this. I work really hard for my money, eating out is expensive and now Im being asked as a customer to do half my service and tip 15% suggestion when preparing for meal at bar. Saying this, I have served before in several restaurants . Anyways, the food ~ the meal I had was excellent , a burger, tons of flavors, really satisfying. And I would order this again, but maybe for take out next time.

I really really love their yam fries. I had it with their spicy mayo (yummmmy) I walked in, placed my order and was told how long it would take. It was a Sunday evening, not too busy and I got my order right on time.

I was not super impressed with this place. Its attempt to have upscale dining food is not up to par. We came here because we were allowed to bring our dog to the patio. The food is mediocre at best. I sent back my baked eggs once because I asked the server if it was soft baked and she said yes. When I got my baked eggs it was hard. Furthermore, our server was reluctant to ask the chef if we could get sautéed onions because apparently it is too difficult for the chef to grab another frying pan to make caramelized onions and we asked for raw onions instead. The server did come back and ask if we wanted it sautéed shortly after we ordered . I told the server when my second dish of baked eggs came out and the eggs were under done. The server did not care to respond and billed us anyway. Each meal on the menu is $20+ and personally I felt it was not worth it.

Went for dinner on the patio; they have a nice patio setup. Appies were great! We had the med dip, calamari & bruschetta. For my main I had the macro bowl which was okay; I was disappointed that it was missing the avocado, salsa and cilantro and overall I found it quite bland. Food

We have dined here a few times lately and its my new favourite spot. The food was excellent and also looked great. I like the patio but inside is cool also. The burgers and tacos are amazing, and I also love the beer selection.

I like the outdoor seating during warmer months. The gluten-free menu is just asking for gluten-free bread, so save yourself and your server the time.

Summer, a patio exists that has ample room for multiple mobility devices, if necessary. Had a great time there, live music, great food, one device. Band was behind a window across a sidewalk but visible c/w enjoyable audio!

We went there for brunch and ordered 2 weekend special bruch dishes, feachured cheesy macaroni. After 10 mins the server told us only one dish is left and we asked them to give us a minute to decide on something else. The server didnt show up in more than 10 mins. The Mac and cheese dish had no cheese! Only a huge amount of extra oil sitting on the bottom. It tasted very bad, greasy, and cold with almost very little sausage and bacon. We wanted to ask for salt and peper but the server didnt come to our table at all. We had to go to them and ask for it. Instead of them bringing it to us, they just handed over them to us!! Very unprofessional. I also ordered a pineapple juice, which was 100% concentrated.

Food: I had the mushroom burger. The burger itself was super juicy and delicious, the mushrooms and cheese were also very high quality, the bun was a very soft bun but held together well. The fries were reaaaaallly good I had them with gravy, so good, they are most likely made in house as they dont taste like frozen fries, highly recommend. Establishment itself: very clean, very stylish, a little bit dark but it has a romance kind of feel so it would be great for a first date or a meal with your S.O. They placed candles on the tables and the music was great. Staff: very very kind and welcoming, they check on you a decent amount without getting annoying. They also smile at you when walking by which is nice. I had the waitress Roni, she was super sweet deserves a good tip if you go! Cost: It is fairly expensive but the food is well worth it, pay for what you get and you get amazing food here! Would I come back: if I didnt live 6 hours away i would come here for dinner semi regularly, I wish there was one back home in Terrace!

We had so much fun at Nancy O s - what a great atmosphere! The live band was incredible and we had fantastic service from Amy and her lovely coworkers!! Reasonable prices and a great menu to choose from for food and cocktails!!

An amazing place to hang out with friends and family. The food is very good and consistent. Some of our funnest times have been having a late night drink and appies while listening to the great musicians of Prince George on open mic night. We are very lucky to have something like this in PG

You guys really shouldnt butterfly cut all youre meats for the tacos it is very confusing... i almost took it for a butterfly cut PRAWN till i Dissected it and found chicken... its very misleading, but regardless it tasted great! Try to make sure chicken is fried and prawns are butterflied open since it could of killed me, but upmost the food and service was amazing, including the staff being very friendly and welcoming. i hope to continue ordering food for quite a while

Love everything about this restaurant

This is an easy 5 stars. Everything was great. I had the spicy burger, and it was very spicy but still flavorful. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate with nice lighting. The servers all seemed cool and funky, like someone you want to talk to at a house party. There were lots of tables filled with similarly interesting looking young people. This place is cool. Wait, is Prince George cool now? I used to come to PG for work all the time about 10 years ago. I never liked it. All I ever did was work though. My boss was a jerk. This was my first time back in a while and my first time staying downtown. This was 1 of 3 very good restaurants that I went to.

Ive yet to have a bad meal here, and a great beer selection. Love the atmosphere and decor, and always great service! I always recommend to friends.

[Updated November 2023] Good variety of food and helpful staff, centrally located downtown PG. Prices are high but typical, quality of food is good and selection updated. Atmosphere is nice but can get cramped easily.

Truffle Burger with Vegan Patty

A friend and I came by for Lunch today, it was our first time there in the afternoon. Weve only been there in the evenings previously. We didnt know you order at the counter. lol But our waitress was so gracious, she politely explained how its different from dinner service. I was interested in the Vegan Corn Chowder but was unsure, the waitress was honest and expressed to us that she hadnt personally tried it. So she couldnt give her own opinion of it. Instead she offered us a taste! Brilliant idea!!! We highly recommend this Soup, and their Sourdough toast! So good, and very filling! We will be back!

burgers were great! we loved the truffle mushroom burger, yam fries and truffle parm fries. the blue cheese burger was a bit strong for our tastes but overall delicious! our server was absent after we received our food though and we had to go up to her at the till to grab her attention. otherwise, a great restaurant with cozy decor and would come back again if I m in town :)

Food was delicious, service was prompt and friendly was worried about not thinking about making a reservation on a Saturday close to Christmas but luckily had a great little private table available, more often go for lunch but atmosphere was nice for dinner out

Extremely disappointed with the whole experience. Stopped by for brunch while on a road trip from Vancouver due to recommendation from a friend from the area. The hash-browns were hard as rock - completely inedible. The fried chicken on the crispy chicken Benedict was soggy and was about the size of a pinky - I wish I was exaggerating. My order was also missing hollandaise sauce. Service was no better - the entire staff is disorganized and has a very detached attitude. Hope we just came on an off day and that they re not usually like this but we would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We have heard such great things and ordered skip the dishes - we must ve caught them on a bad day.. the chicken tenders tasted and looked burnt (not too dry though!) the fries were dry, small, and tasted old (extra oily tasting so maybe double fried? Truffle parm fries were also dry and oily tasting sadly!) unfortunately they mixed up one of our orders (it happens!) all the sauces were unmarked so if you get a variety - it s sauce roulette to determine what s what! Burger is the only reason we rate 2 stars - it was good! But sadly everything else was a major let down : ) Give it a try - hopefully this was just an off day! But certainly some of the worst fries and chicken I ve had.

The quality of the food has gone down hill significantly. Hardly any toppings on my burger (One tiny square of cheese that didn t even cover half the burger, they forget the tomatoes, hardly any onion.

I found it just okay. The service wasnt the best, the veggies were raw, the potatoes were cold. The only good part was the the steak was cook correctly. It will be a long time before I go back.

Worst service I have ever had. Waitresses make it seem like you re incredibly unwelcomed and never come check on you. Waitress slammed down utensils and napkins on the table and walked away without saying a word when we asked if they still had their special lunch option. Absolutely horrible experience, will not be coming back.

Very good burgers, and large choice of beers.

The truffle fries were great. However, the hamburger was well done and they never asked me how I liked it. Parking: Its next to the place. Kid-friendliness: Its a not kid-friendly place.

Service was excellent. Ceasar salad excellent. Tacos excellent. Good potion sizes. Steak was ok. Done correctly, not very juicy. Yam fries were kind of limp rather than crispy. Excellent selection of beers. Overall 7.8/10. I would go back again. It was a good evening.

Visiting from ON.. my wife and I had lunch and now brunch.. Lunch was a grass-fed beef burger with blue chesse and Brie with walnuts stunningly delicious!! We came back this morning for brunch after visiting the market just outside the door... I had a limited time pulled pork benedict with hollandaise of course and Chipotle mayo.. along side perfectly made homemade hashbrown potatoes... OMG... an orgasm for your mouth!! This leaves you not only enjoying the moment but wanting that moment over and over again!!! The staff are friendly and efficient...Highly recommend visiting this establishment!!

Work trip dinner, in downtown Prince George. I ve been to this restaurant before in 2019, and I love it so much, came back for more. I love the decor, the tables are so cool. Service was great too, the server let me try out the beer before ordering, didn t except that from a local restaurant, that s really impressive. I got there before 5, so it wasn t too busy, but it got busy when I was about to finish, good to see a local restaurant keeping busy during week nights, a good sign for quality. Food was above average, love the southern fried chicken tenders, I remember I ordered 2 of them in 2019, this time was just as good, but I stopped at 1. The seafood casarecce, was good too, like the sauce and other ingredients it s a balanced dish. I added ice cream on the apple crumble, to make it a complete dessert, it was awesome too. It s a little gem in downtown Prince George, will go back there for sure, strongly recommend to everyone.

Nice young lady serving, dark hair up, dressed very nice, casual, polite and attentive. Perfect service. This is very important to me. The steak was done to perfection, great salad, fries, a bit too many seemed like a filler. Would have liked asparagus or Anyway best meal in PG to date. Definitely will be back.

Went for Sunday brunch. Enjoyed the French Dip with poutine. I was in town for the weekend and was able to visit with friends without being pressured to move on. Nice atmosphere and staff. Parking: Downtown, on street parking, both sides of street. About 30-40 spots on this block. Kid-friendliness: This is an adults only establishment. No minors.

Hit or miss. I have gotten the vegan BLT several times and it s always been decent. Today s meal didn t hit the mark. Fish and chips were wayyy overdone, I couldn t even chew through parts of it. Was supposed to come with coleslaw which was not there. Fries were unsatisfying. Paid $32 for this meal with tip. Service staff are always nice.

Amazing food. Drink prices were steep for basic wines but I enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the service. Even played music trivia.

Atmosphere is good. Ordered the soup. Bbq bacon yam chowder. It had beans in it though? Weird, but tasty. Drink was well made. Service was slow and it wasnt that busy. The table next to us arrived after us, but were served first. Seemed like the staff knew them.

They were busy, but got us in as a table of 6! Our waitress was so lovely. Our food and drinks were tasty. Great experience.

Holy Onions Batman! Went there for the first time with my husband and good friend who is a local. Very casual atmosphere, maybe a bit cramped in the high-top we were at but overall, very comfy. But as we were sitting waiting for our dinner, and as our dinner arrived, our eyes got more and more irritated until I just had to ask. It was a sous chef cutting onions in the basement. Although my dinner was tasty, the evening was ruined because my eyes got so sore, watery and irritated. Even after moving to a different table the stinging continued until well after we got home! I love onions, I can t deny, but, tonight, they ruined a perfectly good reunion of over a decade. I have never had a reaction to onions being chopped like that! Will we be back next trip to PG? Probably. Will it be on a Sunday night? Probably not, especially if they are cutting onions. Big plus, no kids allowed here, do it was a nice, relaxing, peaceful, fun, adult environment. The website says they have brunch, but we showed up at 12:30 and they only had burgers and other non-brunch items.

I hosted my staff Christmas dinner here! The room was setup beautifully. Booking was easy, the service and food was great! We will definitely will be back next year! Dietary restrictions: Most of us had various dietary restrictions and all of them were accomedated.

Service has always been good first dozen times going for a beer and appies. But today they seem quite busy and while Im sitting at the bar Ive waited 21 minutes for my second pint and I asked three times. Not the at the bar experience I get at 99% of establishments

Always excellent, high quality food! Excellent service! The southern fried chicken bites are always amazing and recommended. I miss their super good garlicky Caeser salad though.
