I will start with my positives. The food was good and the banquet room I rented was beautiful. I rented Lucas banquet room for my husbands surprise party. The room was rented for $75 from 6:00-9:00. The short version is that I had 58 guests, and management only scheduled 1 server. I ended up taking orders for 14 guests, refilling drinks, and clearing off dishes. I tried to make my guests comfortable and ensure that they were taken care of. It wasnt until food started coming out that I saw more servers coming to help by bringing the trays of food out and sitting it on a table. At the end of the night, I spoke to the owner and informed him that his restaurant did not give me an enjoyable experience because I paid to not be the host and ended up doing half of the waitresses job for her. I dont blame the waitress at all. In fact, he kind of did by implying that sometimes waitresses dont ask for help. So, his reasoning for my experience was that: he was not on site for most of the evening his son was manager that night, he cant find proper help, he is opening another restaurant and is spread thin between trying to sell a restaurant, open a new restaurant, and keep this one running. He asked me if I wanted a discount ( umm, if Im presenting a problem to you and your making thousands of dollars from a party, why are you ASKING if I want a discount?) I truly was not coming to him for a discount. I had planned and expected to pay. I didnt plan to work and not be able to mingle and enjoy my night. My suggestions: dont just make your son a manager because hes your son ( I never saw him, if a party is bringing in $$$ I would pay close attention to them), have a couple of people trained specifically for large parties ( have a system, even if one person just gets drinks), cross train people ( there were 3 guys standing around upfront, He said they had different jobs ie: host, taking phone orders), focus on making sure the restaurants you have are running smoothly. This was not a not enough staff issue. There were multiple servers to serve the other side of the restaurant. This was a poor management issue. Im sure the restaurant runs differently on a normal basis, but if you cant accommodate large parties, dont advertise that you can.

Think that I got food poisoning on this visit this past week at lunch. The fact that the next day me and my family ordered food the next night for dinner. A day later, the bathroom was our best friend. Usually, they have pretty good food, Im a big fan of their calzone and meat tortellini. Somehow, something was off this week with them. Fix yourself, Luca, I will try you all again in a few months.

We got pizza and a appetizer tray wasnt impressed with the plating of the appetizer tray. Pizza was all right veggies could have been cooked a little more to meet on it was scarce.

I ordered wedding soup , a Sicilian style pizza, a platter with lasagna , ravioli,tortellini salad and Italian dressing Im sorry to say the only thing I could eat was the wedding soup, the salad and the bread. ... the pizza and the pasta was so bad the dogs wouldnt eat it. Just the 5 lbs of cheese that was dumped on top of the pasta. I definitely wont be ordering delivery from this place anytime soon

Absolutely amazing restaurant

The staff here are friendly and the building is wheelchair accessible. The dining area is very cramped and hard to maneuver. The food was very disappointing. They had a lot of menu items and many werent Italian. The food tasted like prepackaged items you might buy from the freezer section at a grocery store. There was little flavor and it didnt look appetizing. I felt like I overpaid for what I ordered. I cant recommend dining here. Dietary restrictions: Im gluten free and they dont have many options outside of salads. I ordered a burger with no bun, and the meat was a very thin, pressed patty that had no flavor and only came well done. Wheelchair accessibility: The building and restrooms were wheelchair accessible, but the dining area was cramped and hard to move through.

The food is overpriced, but I guess everything is these days. My husband says we wont be going back. I told him we shouldnt base our visit on one waitress, but he insists we wont go back. She told us that we hadnt seen her because another table was being demanding.

We have been customers here and there , only because there s no good food options in the area period. Nothing around here is worth visiting. Plenty of times we have ordered pickup and Delivery, they never get the order right . My husband for some reason wants to go to dine in sometimes but everything taste pretty much the same We ordered take out today , ordered extra sauce in our pizza , once again we got extra cheese. Then we ordered 2 slices of Tiramisu , and they are frozen , I guess we will wait til tomorrow so we can eat them, later this evening will be to late for dessert. Anyway . What is it that there s nothing good , or well made in the area . People deserve good food .

So I have this thing about Italian restaurants and whats on their menu such as I dont believe a good Italian restaurant should have hamburgers or tacos on their menus that being said this place does have hamburgers and taco salad on their menus . I ended up having the blackened chicken primavera and it was amazingly delicious so I would definitely recommend this to anybody who wants some good Italian food

The service was rather slow the day we went. There were only 3 in our party and it was not very busy. It took forever to get water refills. The food was pretty good, but mine was lukewarm and the pizza was warm.

Food was decent. We got a pepperoni pizza along with an appetizer platter and a few other entrees. The food was not really good, but it was okay. The service and atmosphere were equally uninteresting. They weren t bad, and nothing to complain about, but they weren t outstanding or anything close. The bread sticks with cheese was basically some white bread with mozzarella warmed up on top. There was no other flavors to it. The appetizer platter was just a bunch of the same breading on all of the different items on it and then it was all fried, so most of it did not have any flavor or seasoning, it seemed. Overall, wouldn t really recommend unless you live right next door and don t have any other options

Pizza and subs are good and especially the 2 different types of wings they have , Buffalo breaded wings and homemade wings .

We come here a lot because we live in the area and have a great experience when we dine in (servers etc.) however we always have a bad experience when we get to go! The person answering the phone acts like they don t know the menu and we always order chicken nuggets and French fries (kids) and an order of 10 wings and they would not give us a side of ranch for them without charging my credit card 60 cents for it! Do better LUCA! We are locals and this puts a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to give y all business. Even fast food let s you have a sauce with nuggets. We ll probably start going to Little Italy instead where they don t dime us (literally). ** mind you I even spent over $80 on to go!

Last 3 times weve been the orders were wrong....first time we didnt realize until we were all the way home, last 2 times we checked before we left and had to wait additional time for the orders to be corrected. I really hate giving bad reviews but when youre spending between $40 and $55 dollars a pop its quite discouraging, they really need to train their order takers better!! They have also done a way with their take out parking too!! Parking: Theyve got rid of their take out parking spaces

Please give your Phone order takers an office or quiet corner to work in. You literally have to repeat your order over and over because of the back ground noise level in the restaurant being extremely too loud.

Luca was decent. Clean, good parking, and friendly staff. The food was alright. I got the carbonara with chicken instead of bacon. The chicken was over cooked. But the appetizer, the fried squid was absolutely delicious.

The food is great and the price is great. This has become our go-to Italian restaurant. Most of the time we order the platter with 4 different pasta items because we get so much food that we eat it the next 2 days.

We came in at 345 on a Tuesday. We were served and waited on by the bartender which was fine. She was nice. Fine and nice were the two words for the whole place. It was fine. It wasnt amazing, it wasnt outstanding. It was fine.

13 April 2023. Wish we could leave no stars but not a option. We came in at 7:40 pm on a Thursday and were seated promptly and that was where the service stopped. We had people next to us seated after us get drinks ordered and brought to their table while we sat with no service. We had several servers serving booths on both sides walk right by us. We have been going there for many years and this is the first time we were just ignored. Very disappointing.

We eat here rite often, very nice ,clean,friendly atmosphere. People are great, , delivery is fast, hot and tasty. Most of the time this place packed.

Its fine, had the ribeye sandwich and fries ($12.99 listed price) and they were okay. Final price with mandatory set tip and tax came to $23.65. Would say the food and service were not worth the amount paid overall, Id recommend a well rated Subway or other sandwich shop and probably would not eat here again.

Even though they were busy the food was great and came to the table quickly! I ll definitely be back!

Always a great experience

These were not fresh habd breaded fried mushrooms as stated. Dead give away when the mushroom oozes watee when you bite into it. The pizza tastes like crispy cardboard. Horrible food we wont be back. All the empty boxes we saw out back that once contained various frozen foods was a dead giveaway.

My wife and I took the mothers out for Mothers Day on the Saturday before. Weve been here several times, but the mothers never came here they truly enjoyed it. As always, the food was very good and the atmosphere. I wont say much about the waiter he was so not on, a kind of lackadaisical. We, my wife and I, usually have Shelia as our waitress, but she doesnt work on Saturday. Plus, she is taking care of her husband. Keep them both in prayer. Thank you. Other than our waiter, everything was extremely good. It you get dessert, get the Lemonberry mascapone or coffee cheesecake

Flavors are bland. Pizzas need to be baked a bit longer. Serving sizes are large. Friendly staff that stays attentive

There was a table of men making fun of the rainbow cake and talking bad about LGTBQ. Everyone has their opinions but what made it worse was a different server brought out the said rainbow cake and egged them on further. She made a comment about Ellen Degenerous looking like a man. I think it s pretty f ed up of the server and guys. Grow up and just be kind. On the positive side, our server Layla was awesome!

Impressed. I always get the Lucas spicy garlic and oil pasta. My favorite. Last night it was not very good, I sent it back and as I was tired didnt want a replacement. The manager came out and insisted he give me an order to go. They went above and beyond to give me the best order of that I have ever had!!! So many places dont put that effort in any more

Let me start by saying my family orders delivery several times a year-we have spent a lot of money there. We also eat there in person. We love they Lucas and what they have done for their community. I believe we had two issues with our delivery, both of which should have caused Lucas to refund (driver could not find our home and just gave up)-. The first issue, they did refund fully. The second issue happened today 6/29/23. We ordered a pizza, my chef salad and my kids baked ravioli. We order delivery so we have no dishes and can sit and eat together without any work or dinner stress. The three items in our order was almost 62 bucks- including a 9 delivery fee and a 15% tip to driver. We did not receive my chef salad- my dinner. That meant I had to sit on my computer talking to Slice (delivery service) while my family ate. I also called Lucas. Lucas told me they could send another salad out or credit my account for the missing salad (my dinner). It has now been over an hour since they said my missing salad was on the way. My problem with this is Slice tells me Lucas uses their own drivers. So Lucas received my 8 surcharge for delivering and my tip to the driver. You tip for good service- of which we did not receive and a delivery that is incomplete. I hate calling any place of business to complain. It literally gives me anxiety and loss of appetite, as did this issue. Lucas could have made things right by delivering the salad stat and not charging me for the salad. I also believe they should take off the 9 dollar surcharge and the tip. Although, the driver was not at fault, Lucas was. I know this is a small world problem but it does have impact on my want to patron Lucas again. I will update this post after I hopefully receive my dinner. The driver still deserves her tip as it was not her fault but it should be one Lucas dime, not ours. UPDATE- Lucas delivered my missing salad to someone elses house. We are not sure where it went. I once again called and spoke to Angel. He made things right for us but it was an awful situation to deal with. My salad was delivered roughly 2 hours after ordering. Hopefully this will never happen again!.

Normally, we enjoy our visits to Luca, but the past 2 times have not been pleasant. The food, for the most part, was delicious. Tonight, my husband ordered spaghetti with meatsauce and meatballs. There was very little sauce on the noodles and when he asked the waitress for just a bit more sauce to cover the noodles, she told him she was going to have to charge him for it. This leads me to the biggest issue we have had lately, the server. She waited on us both of these last visits. She seems to be a nice lady, but serving is not the job for her. We have to ask for everything including refills, parmesan cheese, and even the check (after she brought us our boxes to go) even on a slow night. She just doesnt seem to be able to multi-task. There is now a surcharge on the bill that I assume is for using your credit card. Not too happy with how our visits have gone.

Everything was perfect

Everytime I order a salad and ask to add mushroom I am charged but never get them. This is the 5th time this year this has happened. The food is decent, if they could get it like you order. Not sure what has happen this past year but it has went downhill from the previous year. I always get take out and have to ask for Togo plasticware. I wish this place was still hitting like it used too

This was the second time that I purchased lasagna to go, and it seemed as if it had been microwaved and overcooked both times.

Im usually ok with Lucas but today was not a great experience. They need to bring back the to-go parking spaces so that customers that are just picking up an order dont have to hunt for a parking space and potentially park around the back just to pick up an order. When I went in, a young lady was too busy texting on her phone versus asking me if I needed help and when I told her I was there to pick up my order she had the audacity to put me on hold while she finished texting. Someone came from the back to help me instead. Customer service is key and poor service doesnt get you repeat customers.

The food is good and we like to sit outside when we can

This place is Italian in name only. Food is basically Sam s Club frozen food section with restaurant prices. Edible, but not good. Buffalo chicken pizza was mostly Tabasco sauce. Wait staff not rude, but disinterested.

Let s start with pizza crust was burnt and lacked flavor, service was really good. I ve got to say if you want to have a nice dinner and carry on a conversation with your significant other this is NOT the place you wanna go. It s so loud in this place you can barely hear yourself think let alone carry on a conversation with people your with. If you place a to go order check it prior to leaving. We only ate inside once but as previously stated way to loud and most of the noise was employees. In closing thank god there are more than one Italian restaurant within a decent distance. Thanks but I ll pass all together when it comes to Luca s. I d rather eat a spam sandwich or even a MRE. 100% don t recommend.

I can only speak from order out perspective. I have a gluten free/dairy free husband and they are always great at offering GF/DF options. The do have a gluten free pasta option! Just make sure the entrée doesnt have gluten added or ask to opt out of the gluten if possible. For me and the kids we normally opt for pizza but the chicken calzones are also very good I normally will eat with or without ham and its great. Ive tried the chicken alfredo and its very good but thick/heavy which I like. The sauce is great for the alfredo. If you like a more runny cheese you might not enjoy this one. Overall, we really enjoy Lucas!

Our waitress was not knowledgeable about the items they sold. Asked for a Golden margarita, we were told they dont sell them. We just had one two weeks ago. She went to the back after we told her we had just had one recently. She came back and said, Oh yes, we do, but I have to make it. We were like, fine. I didnt care if Popeye made it. I just wanted the margarita. She came back with something tasting like orange margarita mix. We got our food, which was tasty, and plenty we asked for boxes. Well, I wasnt finished getting all my food off my plate, and she took my plate without asking if I was finished or not. Last straw, I asked what kind of cheesecake they have. She pointed to the ones listed on the menu, which I knew they had more. I asked if they had the peaches and cream, and she said yes. I was excited and mouth watering FINALLY this was going to turn things around, and she comes back and says oh we dont have that today, but we have butter pecan.. Yup ....O V E R I T! I said Im good. Please just give me the check. We were HIGHLY disappointed . The service we had two weeks ago was perfect, which made us excited to come back now. Im second guessing if I want to go back anytime soon.

The chicken Alfredo with broccoli was absolutely stunning. The pizza roll made me cry when I opened the box. Hands down the best Italian food youll eat within 100 miles. Cant wait to eat here again

I am a regular patron and 90% of my orders are not packed with utensils, napkins, or ice waters that we specially called and asked for. I called and spoke to someone and they said ok no. Problem The last door dash pickup I was messaged by my driver that they did not pack two waters because there was an extra charge. Since when? I ve been ordering going on 2 years our home fridge is broken and no ice. 7 steps of service should be a non negotiable also for pick up orders because we pay good and extra money for pickup through door dash or other food pickup service. So disappointed. They ve finally Lost me as a regular over two ice waters. Sad. But that s ok we will patronize other establishments. Thank you.

I went here for dinner to celebrate my high school graduation in 2020 and had no problems with this restaurant at all. The outside seating is very pleasant when the weather is warm and the customer service is great. The pizza has a premium taste for an affordable price. Everyone in my group loved the food and had a great experience here.

Came here on our way to Williamsburg and boy was it worth it! Portion sizes were really good (not too big, not too small), and all the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The pizza crust was perfection! Very good!

I enjoyed my dining experience here very much. I went with a large group. Our menu was chosen for us. When it arrived it was nice and hot. We were provided with three main choices. A salad, drinks, and a variety of salad dressings. It was all placed on a table being displayed nicely. The wait staff, even though it was a buffet style meal, was very attentive. She kept our drinks full and needs met. I chose baked lasagna and a salad. The lasagna was so very good. The cheese was perfect. The salad was nice and crunchy with tomatoes cakes red onions. I got the house dressing that was honestly better than zesty Italian. I highly recommend visiting here. Ive had their pizza before also. Which was equally as good!

First visit to Luca. A variety of items on the menu. I ordered the Luca Grilled Chicken Caesar. It was very good. Also ordered fried cauliflower. Plenty of food for a takeaway container for leftovers.
