The best Japanese red in PG! The food is served in great portions and they all taste wonderful. I would especially recommend their teriyaki lunch specials!

Some of the best sushi I have had so far, large pieces of very fresh Salmon and Tuna. The rolls were large and very well made, the rice was very soft. You can tell the chef / chefs put alot of pride into their food and it shows.

Amazing raw fish. Best tuna I ve had, and I m not a huge fan of raw tuna. The salmon was delicious, fatty, and fresh. Service was incredible too!! Very cozy, will definitely come again.

Are you kidding me?!?! Our regular place was closed one night, so I tried this gem based on reviews- it was so, so good- our new go to! Tonight I ordered the kids combos for pickup as my boring sushi loving California roll addict children wont branch off of agedashi tofu and Cali rolls- and I tried the udon soup- this is the best value for kids around- and they gobbled it up! Kids report- this is the best in town- and weve tried everywhere. Cant wait to try more off the menu!

The tempura had way too much batter in it, couldn t finish one prawn. Spicy udon wasn t spicy as I expected. Our server is nice and kind.

My favourite sushi place in PG!! I am not from PG and I have been a few times, most recently a few days ago. I had the Kamikaze roll and tuna/salmon sashimi. Both were fresh and delicious! Friendly and positive interactions with all staff members too :)

PG Sushi has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants The owner and staff, are always so friendly and inviting!: ) The fireplace is a nice touch, and gives it a warm ambience as well. I think the Gyoza Nabe is absolutely delicious, and is a total comfort food for me now Recently tried their Spicy Tuna Sashimi and Spicy Crab Sunomono, which I also found to be super tasty!

I wish I could give 0 if I can. The chicken is surely being frozen for a long time and it cant be drier than anything. Way too much sauces on the sushi, too sweet to be eaten

Just got take out tonight. Ordered 2 yakisobas and 2 rolls. First time ordering the yakisoba. Super delicious, was super hot until the last bite and the portion was very generous. Rolls were delicious. Only complaint is that some of those rolls are too big to even fit in your mouth!

Literally, the best sushi I ve ever had ever since I had it for the first time and fell in love with it in Victoria. And I m not even a robot producing this. PG Sushi has become by far the best Japanese food in Prince George. Every dish from miso soup, to Sunstone salad to rolls amd sashimi are high quality, prepared beautifully and generous portions. Always impressed with the quality! Gochisousama deshita!!!

Absolute best sushi in town, actually best sushi I ve had. Sashimi pieces are huge compared to all other sushi places I ve been to. They make up for having to stare at homeless people while you eat (location of their restaurant) with the quality of food and service.

Epic dinner for two, it was a table of food We get take out from here and its has always been 100% no 110% it was alittle chilly inside and heat isnt free!! so lets warm it up with body heat and show some local support. so I am pretty sure this was a old review I didnt post.its under new ownership now and name. The food is the same, its amazing the attention to detail on the rolls and presentation was spot on just beautiful and perfect. The food is high quality good quantity some of the special rolls are almost too big... but perfect I said almost. They have excellent take out service great pick up service they have dividers I havent eaten in side but I believe they have done renovations. Local hotspot best sushi in all the PG I think. Its a small parking lot and it is accessible w parking but the parking lot is a little rough. But just call in , great selection great prices

The service here is awesome. I drop in to get some dinner to go and Im given a complimentary green tea. Spotless place. Friendly staff. Lastly but most importantly the quality of the sushi is great for how affordable it is.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Great food at great prices! Food is fresh and portions are large and delicious. Some people dont like that the rolls are a bit delicate, but its because they are stuffed so full that the seaweed can hardly close. The owners are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome. We eat a Keto diet so they accommodate us by making cones without rice. We get our Japanese fix without the carbs.

I went with my mum yesterday, and we both found it extremely delicious! We are big fans of Japanese food and eat it regularly. We loved how the vegetables had a slight crunch in our dishes, (a soup dish for my mum and a noodle one for me) and everything was extremely fresh. The waitress was very attentive and prompt, and didnt mind going back to the kitchen numerous times to get answers for our dietary questions. A very lovely meal! We plan to go back

Fast, large amount, affordable and fresh!

Not great. Salmon was bland, tasted almost rotten. Beef Yakisoba was like a noodle soup sauce to the brim and dripping out all over the bag, soy sauce packets, and napkins. Actual sushi rolls were ok. Would not recommend. Sushi Yori is easily the best sushi in town. Sushi 97 is good as well.

Tokyo is my favorite sushi restaurant in Prince George. Their sashimi is always fresh, never fatty tasting. Grace is a sweetheart and Peter makes all the sushi rolls. Their prices are also very good.

I love sushi, I do. I crave it like a drug. This place is near me so I decided to try it. From the moment I walked in I felt uncomfortable, the server paid me no attention, nobody else in there. When she did notice, not friendly or welcoming, gave me a menu and walked away. I had a dynamite roll and a spicy tuna, it was so bad I couldnt finish it, just putting it near my mouth made me nauseated. Chalked it up to the flu, after reading the reviews on here. Went back a year later, had one of their combos. It was a lot of food, but again, I couldnt even look at it. Every bite was gross, if this had been my first experience with sushi, I would never have tried it again.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place, by far they have been the friendliest staff Ive ever encountered in any sushi restaurant Ive been too. They also have the best agedashi tofu dish, and I have tried various forms of this dish from around the province.

I wish I could give this place a negative rating. Awful tasting sushi, with astonishingly bad service to boot. Ive only been here once but the experience was enough to turn me off forever. The rolls were starchy, I had found a course, human hair in my food, the sushi looked like it was slapped together without a care, and the server was not only unapologetic, but had the audacity to assertively defend the meal that was served to me. Rolls are large but youre not getting a good deal, as the food is not the least bit authentic (ratio of rice to other ingredients is grossly disproportioned). Horrendous on so many levels.

I would consider this place to be among the worst sushi restaurants in PG. Steer clear if youre looking for authentic and good tasting Japanese food. Food wasnt fresh, prices were high and the service, quite frankly, just sucked. The rolls that were served looked like they had been made by someone ready to quit. Im not typically a picky eater and rarely write reviews but this was just really bad on many levels.

Found a dark black hair in my food for the second time....I have light blonde hair.

This place looks like a little hole in the wall from the outside, but their sushi is delicious and the service is great. I regularly eat here due to the fact that they have fair prices and the sushi is always excellent. The restaurant is definitely outdated and due for some renovations, but dont let that scare you off!

Sushi did not taste fresh, low quality, the dishes look unwashed, the water was lukewarm and very chlorinated, and they forgot some items we ordered. The staff are friendly, though.

Cold gyoza. Fish was forzen. Maki were not even closed properly. And the table was dirty. Disgusting.

Food is very clean, good quality ingredients. Not fancy sushi but good quality fish that tasted fresh. I would recomend.

Food is pretty tasty, really like the sunomono, not so much the yakisoba. Pricing is fair.

Loved the food! I got a salmon Bento box and I ate everything. The miso soup was lovely. The salad dressing was packed full of flavor. Sushi was great. Only thing negative Id say is the noodles were the standard you get in chow mein from Chinese food places. The waitress was really great. Friendly. Even called me back when I told her I was walking, just to make sure I didnt get lost.

Basing this review/opinion on the quality of the food, not the eat in atmosphere of the restaurant itself. Tokyo is hands down the best you can do locally when it comes to all the different types of sushi you can enjoy in Prince George. One of the main things that make Tokyo better than all the others is consistent product! Always fresh, and always as ordered.
