1253 3rd Ave, Prince George, BC V2L 3E6, Canada
Neapolital style pizza, entrees, beautiful cocktails and more in the most impressive restaurant Prince George has to offer. Cozy up inside or catch some sun on our covered patio.
Betulla Burning is just a place you simply must experience. The food was great, latte was perfect. And impeccable service, my friend and I will be going back for sure
I may have been high but this isn't just a restaurant, it's a lobster lover's dream come true. Their lobster risotto is a symphony of flavors, a culinary masterpiece that will have you swooning. Each bite is a luxurious journey through a sea of creamy risotto, tender lobster, and rich, savory broth. It's like a hug from the ocean, wrapped in a blanket of Parmesan cheese. So, if you're ready to indulge in a seafood sensation, head on over to Betulla Burning. Just be prepared to have your taste buds serenaded by the sweet song of the sea, or something like that.
Had an amazing Halloween night at Betulla Burning! The waiter switched into nearly 20 different costumes to keep everyone entertained. The food and drinks were absolutely top-notch. A fun and delicious experience, highly recommend!
I really enjoy both the food and service at this restaurant. Margherita pizza and Carne Amore were great. We came in the summer during the week when it was like 40°C outside and their patio had little water sprayers and fans to point it at you. It was a nice touch that other patios don’t have. If you have a choice, I definitely recommend eat in rather than takeout. Service is great and the pizza is way better when it’s fresh. 😊
My work colleague and myself ate here while on work. We both had pizzas as the Huge wood fire oven seen as you come in the door is very impressive. I had the BBQ chicken pizza and it was very tasty. I had ordered the gluten free crust and having these crusts before at other restaurants, this was by far the best gluten free crust. I also had the Dragon Breathe Caesar that was very tasty and a bit spicy. We were seated upstairs on the heat covered deck, which was very nice. It was open to the outside but had lots of plants and greenery and the heaters worked great even though it was almost not needed. I would definitely go back again and recommend others to try the place as well.
By far one of the best Neapolitan pizza I've had in Canada. The restaurant is really nice and cozy - it is actually quite fun to look at the pizza making process as the restaurant has a giant pizza oven at the entrance. The service was just alright, but that's ok as the pizza was amazing!
We were recommend this great place after chatting with some locals. What a treat to see and experience such a unique to PG restaurant. All fresh ingredients, exciting menu options and executes by some very skilled chefs. The staff was so accommodating to particular food requests and had great knowledge of their menu. Be patient after ordering, it's worth the wait for exception fresh eats.
Beautiful sour dough style crust pizza. I ordered the Carne with honey. I wanted something much spicier and if I was eating there in person I could have added chilli. Certainly pricy, but good quality ingredients.
The food is decent,(minus the meats that taste rotten on the ceasars). Service could definitely use some work but the atmosphere is nice. Could be an excellent place, but the lack of interest from severs really pulls it downhill. Pizza is what youd expect from a wood fire place, wouldve liked to try some appies, but upon ordering they never arrived....
We had an appetizer and the Forest pizza with local shroomery mushrooms, delicious! Emily was our server and she was so friendly and engaging that I hope to see her again on our next visit, which will be soon! We also had the cheesecake and a cocktail and a local craft beer. The atmosphere is casual and the food is delicious! Well worth a visit! Happy hour is a great time to go! A great experience, good food, great service and nice atmosphere! Nice work betulla Burning!!!
Such a great place to have dinner. Loved there every single time with new chef, taste even got better.. thanks.. will come again
One of my all-time favorite places to eat in PG. The fried chicken appy has fried cauliflower in it so I eat that and my hubby eats the chicken , their meals and drinks have never disappointed me. Service has always been great but there is one server we love, his energy is impeccable and he knows what we want even before we ask sometimes. I love the atmosphere, its cozy and private. My personal favorite date night spot. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options with lots of flavor
By far the best dining experience I ve ever had within Prince George! This restaurant has an amazing environment! Amazing experience! I love need more places like this!!!! Highly recommend! Don t second guess this one! You ll have a great experience!
Good food, friendly staff, and comfortable atmosphere. I gave three stars because the wait list app is terrible; we got skipped and lost our place in line.
Came for a CPHR event and terrific food and service!
Excellent! One of the best pizzas Ive had in years and we visit Italy several times a year. .. Pizza with figs, soppresatta salami. The salad with shrimp, quinoa and watermelon is also simply great. The cuisine is creative and plays virtuoso with the flavors. Thank you for the great evening
Out for a co workers birthday. We had a very nice dinner and great service.
Tasty pizza just from the oven
Great patio/deck
For a place that brags about its pizzas so much, I would have thought we were in for a real treat eating here. Well I was wrong, it was crappy food, substandard service, and the restaurant itself isnt anything special either. The pizza was bad, and i mean bad, especially for the price. My ranking is in the bottom 2% of pizzas Ive ever had in my life. From the burnt crust, to extreme LACK of toppings, to the ho hum server, and slowest drink refills in a long time for us at a restaurant, we were more than mildly disappointed.
What a vibe! And they have nailed the wood fired pizza. This place will see me every time I return to PG.
best pizza
Amazing staff and equally as good of food! The first time I went with my partner for a date night, got truffle pasta, he got a burger and we shared a bottle of wine. I back for a girls night and we all shared a couple pizzas. 10/10! The server was quick, knowledgeable and kind. We will back back!
A few vegetarian and vegan options! The vegan chefs creation pizza is consistently awesome. Friendly service! Vegetarian options: Kimchi cauliflower, a couple of the pizzas, and the donuts are vegan! Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian & Vegan
Great restaurant, on the fancier and pricier end of dining within the area. Able to accommodate allergies but all pizzas will have gluten cross contamination so not a great option for celiacs.
Great creativity and flavors with food. Loved the local wine list!
Lived up to the hype What in sat upstairs outside and had a great meal.
Great food and atmosphere. Service however is often slow, unattentive, and unprofessional. However, the food is so good it still gets five stars.
Great atmosphere to have a fancy food in Prince George. I ordered pizza and it was great. Not a lot of options for beer but overall enough for having a great night
A high-end pizza, great quality ingredients. Delicious salads. Great gluten-free crust. Big wood fire oven in the middle, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Salads are great Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free crust is available, not celiac friendly, since there are traces in gluten in the kitchen/oven still worth suffering for.
Good pizza
Fantastic food with exceptional service. Our waitress was great. My husband and I will go back again. It was a lovely place.
Literally my only gripes, steelhead is a trout, not a salmon. And bring back smoked olives
Didnt hit today
This is one of the most enjoyable restaurants I have experienced . It s really cool to watch the chefs cook, and the servers are exceptional. I was really looking forward to bringing my son there. He is a little foodie and we are from a small town well past PG. I sent a little request for a table above so he could watch the cooking. They accommodated my request and the sweet server ( really sorry I didn t catch your name) gave us dessert on the house. Was so thoughtful and kind. The staff are so genuine and professional, food is excellent every single time. Thank you betulla !
Always great food and great service. Absolutely gorgeous patio area. The food isnt cheap, but its priced fairly and the portions are filling. Always my favorite place to go when eating out.
Great service from the gentleman on Sunday evening! Pizza was fantastic per usual, appetizer was great too. Food came out quickly considering there was a large party upstairs.
We sat on the outside patio upstairs that had welcome misters to cool the air down. The margarita pizza was excellent!
Delecius pizzas, beautiful rooftop patio!
Goated food & service
Betulla is by far the best restaurant in Prince George in my and my partners opinion. We regularly go here for a delicious and beautiful meal any chance we get. Their steaks and pizzas are clear stand-out options, but everything else on their menu is also very delicious.
Their wagyu at this Neapolitan restaurant is a real treat - tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the cozy ambiance makes it a great spot for a special night out.
Best place to eat in PG. Pizza is phenomenal. A must try when in PG.
I loved the whole thing...our server Jason was great!! We had the fried chicken app and had this scrumptious Big Kahuna pizza. We sat upstairs overlooking the wonderful choreographed kitchen that was serving up beautifully plated food!!
Wagyu beef burger is so good and the cheesecake is amazing
Amazing wood burning pizza, vegetarian, and vegan option, The forest pizza is my favorite, with mushrooms, arugula, and truffle oil, I am Italian, and I have difficulty finding the real food from my country. This is the real deal, with a little twist of creativity, like fresh homemade pasta. The fresh strawberries salad is a must try.
Second visit. Some of the tastiest pasta I ve had anywhere.
Went to this Italian restaurant last night and it was amazing! The pasta was delicious, the vibe was cozy, and the staff made us feel right at home.
First impressions matter...the service was excellent and our server was great! The pizzas looked amazing, but be warned, the wood fired crust might leave a little char on your face! The Monday pasta special was a pleasant surprise as I was craving some sauciness. The shrimp Florentine my wife ordered was tasty, but I preferred the pork gochujang pasta I devoured. All in all, a great experience! Would definitely go again.
Take out tonight Hot and ready and best wood fire pizza l have ever had Vernon B C Food : 5/5
We went in for first time Friday for dinner everyone had pizza and it was great! I wasnt a fan of our seat in the center of lower level but maybe we will try again.
Love love love this place Nicest feeling walking up Greeted warmly when I arrived Was seated at the bar with Caitlyn the bartender as I was solo - she was lovely! Ordered chicken and a pizza and they were great The chocolate cheesecake was the best at the end HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Jason was absolutely amazing, super friendly and had the BEST recommendations for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. 10/10 will definitely be coming back
Just 5 star. We put in a reservation for a table overlooking the kitchen and they gave us the best seat there. Jasmine was our wonderful server. Helped us decide which delectable meals to choose. Atmosphere was great. Watching the chefs was a pleasure. Observing the clay oven was really interesting. And the food . It was amazing. We enjoyed the wagyu beef burger, the margharita pizza, and the berry salad with Prosciutto. Lavender blueberry lemonades really topped it off. Jasmine was glad to let us know what the different dishes were that we saw coming out of the kitchen. We loved how beautifully the chefs presented each plate. Thank you so much for the Italian Doughnuts. We enjoyed them!! We WILL be back.
Beautiful place. Amazing people, lovely customer experience. This is a must in Prince George.
Great atmosphere, excellent shrimp taco pizza, paired with a cloud 9 beer (Chef s kiss). Thanks Jason and team for amazing service and refreshments!! Extra shout out to Madeline at the bar! Food
Great place for Italian style food, and the pizza is amazing! Ive been a few tines, and every time the food is just as good, as is the service.
The service was amazing. The food was amazing. I have been 5-6 times and I have never had a bad meal there. Jason was our server and he made so many jokes, and made up feel super comfortable at the restaurant. I 110% recommend betulla to anyone. They have lots of options for allergies and they make amazing food!
Jason was literally the most amazing server ever, of course the food and drinks were great but the biggest shout out goes to server Jason, made the experience 10x better, we love Jason, everyone needs a Jason
Went after hearing all the hype. The atmosphere was decent, and the service was good. The pizza... well... it wasnt anything spectacular. We went in with curious expectations and open minds and left debating if we will be back. Nothing personal, just wasnt the best. Food
Would highly recommend this restaurant. The ambiance and food are amazing. Pizzas and drinks are so good and our server Jazzy was so kind and made the experience that much better!
Betulla Burning offers a sophisticated dining experience perfect for business professionals. From the elegant décor to the attentive service, every detail is meticulously curated. The menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes, each expertly prepared with the finest ingredients. Whether youre hosting a client dinner or enjoying a leisurely lunch, Betulla Burning is sure to impress.
So good here! The vibe, the service, the appies and pizza, the drinks. Upstairs has access to the patio and space for large parties. This is my fave restaurant in all PG. Make a reso! Small update a year later STILL my fave! Our server was hilarious and really helpful. And the food never disappointed. A must try if you re in PG!
morgan was a great server, I love this place and will come back again :)
Radiator pasta is where its at. One of my fave restauraunts in PG. Servers are great, but on my last visit the server was amazing! I didnt catch her name, but she was so witty and awesome, she had our table in stitches. Thanks for the great night out!
Absolutely superb service from Jasmine on Monday Feb 12. 4 of us went for dinner, 1 had never been, and it was better than I remembered. The specials were amazing and the food was perfect: hot, fresh and great quality ingredients . Jasmine though, she made the experience special. Joking and conversational but prompt and knowledgeable which is hard to find these days. Thank you Betula burning for a great experience in PG.
A bit on the expensive side but good service and great food.
Great atmosphere, great service! Locally owned! Must try dishes! Margherita Pizza Fried Chicken (my favourite) Always save room for dessert their cheese cake is fantastic and the affogato is also delicious
Food and service are always great. Music is usually too loud for us but the takeout options are great too!
love the vegan options
Best place in town for pizza, I love this place. However, they used to have a jalapeno aioli dipping sauce and it was the best dipping sauce I have ever had and for some inexplicable reason it disappeared from the menu, so until that comes back 4 stars.
Ive been wanting to go here for years. Since it opened, and never had the chance until last night. Really nice atmosphere, super chill, easy going, clean, fun. Staff was great, very friendly and attentive - pretty easy when all youre having is water. We wanted to try something new, so ordered a couple different pizzas which were really good. Very simple, but very flavorful and unique. The crust was very good, love the fire baked, I just found the crust to be a bit salty. Nothing crazy, just me, still super good and would totally come back again and try something else new.
Too thick to be true neopolatin pizza, but excellent and filling none the less. Great atmosphere, would not be out of place in any average multimillion person city in North America, real quality. Great for Dates and special occasions. Recommend. Vegetarian options: Can sub for veggies. Parking: Lots of street parking Kid-friendliness: Kids options for $8 at time of writing. Decent space for kids.
Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere
We love Betulla Burning! Every time we are in town, we make it a priority to go and get their pizza. Their service is excellent and always have great recommendations. Cant wait to come back again and again. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free abd vegan pizza options available. Dairy free cheese.
Delicious pizza! Great environment, friendly staff and awesome daily deals, I forgot the name of the pizza I ordered lol but I just show them the pic to order jajajaja strongly recommend this establishment.
Good Italian pizza here. Not many choices for pasta. We have been here twice for lunch and dinner in 3 months. Very good service too. This time we didnt have a reservation so we got seats on the counter right beside the window. It was a little bit cold but we could see people cooking pizzas in the kitchen. Pizza dough is very soft inside and not dry. My favourite is Margherita. we ordered sweets too. Affogato was too sweet with chocolate. It should be bitter and sweet. Thats the only thing little bit disappointed about. The berry salad was good. I like the vinaigrette with spring mix, strawberries, dry figs and nuts. I hope they keep updating better.
Very cool place, good food, good drinks.
The pizza dough is the best. They also make good french fries.
Awesome pizza
I love their wood fired pizza oven. This place is so authentic, this is where we take our Italian coworkers when they come to town!
Get the burger. They have one burger on the menu and its probably the best Ive ever had. This is not a fancy artisan burger piled high. This is all the things I like about a fast food burger done really well. Service is good too, they do get busy and it might not be lighting quick but its worth the wait
What an amazing experience that I had in PG as a guest! Our server was super friendly and gave great recommendations for PASTA, PIZZA and wine. Pasta was just AMAZING! Every bite was deli-cious!
Absolutely amazing pizza and great service
Appetizers, pasta & pizza was tasty but it was lukewarm. Also avoid what they are calling the chocolate cheese cake. It is an awful non-baked whipped cream cheese with a tasteless crust.
My daughter and I had a great experience here last Sunday! The food was superb, especially the Italian donuts! We received exceptional service from Darby, who was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely be back!
We had the big kahuna pizza tonight and it was AMAZING, I loved how they paired with pork shoulder and ranch. A must try here at PG. Edit- we came back the second time and had the pork belly gochujang & radiator pasta and omg the pork belly just melted in my mouth. Pasta has full of flavors as well. This is the one restaurant you must try in PG.
Stopped by on a short work trip on a recommendation from a colleague. Some of the best pizza Ive ever had! Dough is fantastic and really creative flavours; I had the roast carrot and mushroom with smoked salmon. Staff are really great and space had a great ambiance as well. I look forward to coming back on my next trip!
The wood fire pizzas were good and spot-on. The beers from tap were cold and delicious. Service was good. No complaints.
Authentic Italian cuisine, the pizza is a must try.
It was a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was full. The atmosphere was great. Our waitress was very nice and very friendly. We had a good time, with the food exceptional . Thank you
Great food and atmosphere. Amazing deck. I wish we had something like this in Red Deer. The cauliflower appie was amazing. 26 March 23 Came for brunch and was amazed by my Chorizo Hash Bowl. Perfection.
Took my review down real professional
Great looking interior and good vibes eating here! Also did take out which took a little longer but understandable with only one pizza oven.
Best pizza Ive had anywhere in BC, brought back memories of trips to Italy.
Everything was excellent. Our server was friendly and helpful, but not overly attentive. The bartender made a fantastic, off-the-menu, Last Word. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Im positively choked I dont live close enough to make this a regular haunt. Vegetarian options: I had a mushroom and roast carrot pizza which was fantastic.
Delicious
Great atmosphere. Stone oven baked pizza was so yummy. Variety of craft bees to choose from too.
Come here hungry. Wow, I think I will be walking back to my hotel sloooowly. I went with the Wagyu burger and had one of the guest taps, a Wheelhouse Scurvy Dog Spruce Ale. They have a gigantic pizza oven from Naples, Italy. The chef accidently made their fried chicken in black garlic aoili and they just gave it to me because I came in starving. I made a dent in it, but had to take it with. Will I risk my flight home tomorrow to eat here? Well see. Special thanks to my server Ciara for recommendations and just doing a great job looking after customers.
Betulla, Betulla, how do I love thee? Let me list thy ways - Your food is always delicious, with the best seasonal and locally sourced ingredients -Your atmosphere is perfect; from for family brunch or a corporate evening meeting. (Ill even forgive you for getting rid of my favorite booth) -your staff is always friendly, easy-going, and knowledgeable. Always a fresh menu, a fresh beer on tap, and something new and interesting to try alongside the classic favs. Keep up the good work all!
Fantastic pizza! I hope they can get better (London Dry) gins though.
Great decor. Pizza was incredible! The drinks were also delicious. Will definitely be returning. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating
Amazing food
Fabulous patio, delicious pizza, dips and the best house red wine!!!!!! 100% recommend.
Decent food, some things a bit mid for the price.
Phenomenal pies, especially the crust, punches well above its weight and wouldnt be out of place in a big city.
maybe Sunday afternoons, they re not at their best. Very expensive and food was ok. Fries with burger were raw, sent them back and after everything had been cleared away they brought back a bowl of dry gross fries. So disappointing when charging top money for mediocre food. Pizza was ok but charged us full price for sangria instead of happy hour price. Slack! Great looking place need to try harder
Great food, ate on the upper back patio, which was super nice. So many dishes I want to try, Ill be back!
I know people tend to only review when there is something negative - but Im trying to shift the paradigm and give businesses that deserve good ratings a fair shot. Betulla Burning has been solid for many years, including throughout covid when all restaurants were given the short end of the stick. Their pizzas have never wavered in quality, staff have been rock solid, and people leave with a smile and satisfaction. The spring/sumer patio is open - go! Have a freaking good cocktail and conversation. Radiatore gochuchang pork belly pasta was given two thumbs up by dining companions. My sopressata gorgonzola fig pizza was 9/10 (9 because my preference is slightly less cooked sopressata...but how do you do that in a pizza oven? 4 stars on atmosphere though as exceptional as the place is, there was a wafting of bathroom scent across the upstairs patio. Also if you have space try the dessert donuts and affogato - were toooooo full this time but previous visits they were the highlight of the meal.
Fantastic. Unique menu that is made by chefs who know good food and not just pretentious ingredients. My first experience was one of complete satisfaction. Our service was outstanding and the pies are hot, fresh and flavourful. My favorite joint in PG, which is to say its a real deal diamond in the rough. 9/10!
Great food and an amazing atmosphere We had great service here as well. The upstairs outside patio was my favorite place to be seated.
First off let s say food was absolutely amazing compliments to the chefs stellar job well done! But now to the service absolutely horrific our first waitress got our orders for drinks and starters and then she left as her shift was at her shift fine and dandy told Alex would be our server for the rest of the night. Well we finished our first round of drinks waited about 15mins till alex decided to check in on us for another round of drinks after that order we seen our appetizers sitting under the heat lamps ready to go but the staff was more concerned about washing dishes and chatting to each other it took another 20 solid mins for our second round of drinks to show up as our starters still sat under heat lamp As the drinks were put on the table we discussed to the waitress we don t want the starters anymore as we have waited for 45mins for them (25mins sitting under the lamp) she brought them over and said she would take them off the bill ( very nice) then our mains come out and the part time manager comes over with the oddacity reaches over me and takes the starters away saying so you don t want this I will take it away Astonishing with the disrespect from the service of this place We never swore to the staff once nor treat them badly and owner came in to talk with us and personally he needs some training in management absolutely WORST SERVICE IN PRINCE GEORGE but amazing food!!!!!!
Came for brunch! Really comfy cute patio in the summer upstairs. Food was good! My mom said her blackberry and candied almond salad was the best she ever had but other than that the breakfast was nothing crazy to right home about. Otherwise server was attentive and helpful with giving advice for places to see around the neighborhood. Really nice place :)
The food was most excellent but the service was definitely not up to expectations.
Excellent, excellent, excellent. Spicy peach drink and fried chicken, to die for!
worth a stop, great pizza as expected! clean environment and friendly staff.
FLAT COKE, Overexpensive pizza but EXCELLENT STAFF, so thank the staff We ordered Carne amore pizza. It had lots of varieties of meat which was very confusing for the palate. We couldnt taste anything properly. Frankly, sometimes less is more. The chef should focus on star items and pizza should be simple. The dough was bland. The Coke was flat but the staff was very attentive and changed the Co2 pump so we could have more refreshing Coke. However, it was still flat and super sweet. Atmosphere is great.
Where do I even begin? We drive through or stay in PG often (from FSJ) and do so only to be able to eat here. We re Vancouver foodies and let me tell you, after moving to FSJ, it is such a treat! The food is absolutely incredible, authentic but also personal. You can tell the head chef created a menu from their soul. The fig pizza are you kidding? The best pizza I have ever had in my 34 years. And the Birria pizza we die and go to paradise for a good 15 minutes until the whole pizza is demolished. The actual restaurant and architecture of the forno oven is outstanding. I stare at in awe every time lol. We can t wait to be back next week and create more memories at the table!
Very good food options for everyone. Staff is always nice and beer is always cold! Highly recommend
What an amazing pizza and possibly best appetizer ever. Service was really good too. Parking: Lots of parking downtown. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a small ramp right at the front door to the restaurant on the street that can work. If all the parking is taken Close by, the streets are wheel chair accessible to get there too. Lots of space on the walkways.
Went in on a Thursday night and it wasnt even busy. Sat for 15 minutes, no water, no server ever showed up. What a freaking joke. Got up and went to Nancy Os.
Top notch pizza. Drink menu is great. Great atmosphere, and staff.
Not much on the menu to tickle my tastebuds, food and service was excellent.
Booked a table for 12 on the patio. We did not get the patio when we showed up. Service was ok, good was cold when it finally arrived. Stake was not good.
The food was superb. Service was alright though the server seemed to be in a constant rush (fair considering how busy it was when we went). I was served a different beer from what I ordered, though of course I said nothing about it so that was on me. My main issue was the booth. Super uncomfortable booths. Nearing the end of the meal I was getting desperate for the server to bring us the bill so I could be freed from the confines of that medieval torture device. Another issue I ve noticed with some of these local spots is the noise, this restaurant could definitely use some straw panels or some lovely, understated decor to absorb some of the noise. Still not loud enough to cause hearing damage (Crossroads) but loud enough that you have to raise your voice to talk to your friends. No but seriously, put some cushioning or something on those booths, I m begging you.
This was one of the best Pizzas Ive ever had. You can even watch the kitchen crew preparing it for you. There is a nice selection of open wines and cocktails. Ambience could somehow been better. The music was kind of loud and therefore you had to talk to each other even louder. But still would recommend this place!
I was pleasantly surprised by how good my experience was here. I had their burger with salad and fries and it was divine. Good portions and delicious taste. The upstairs patio is my recommendation for a peaceful ambiance. Overall an amazing experience and I would definitely go again when Im in PG.
Nice atmosphere, good service and a great wood fired pizza. Good spot to check out if you like Neapolitan style pizza.
Interesting and creative dishes using a mix of ingredients. Not your normal everyday Italian restaurant.
Highly recommend The smoked chicken/apricot barbecue sauce pizza, it was a-mazing!!!
Great atmosphere. Wine was the best part of our meal. Pizza did not come as ordered. Wagu burger was so dry it could not be eaten and was not replaced or taken off the bill. Love how hard our server tried but food was 1 star at best over all disappointing experience. Will try somewhere else next time.
Tried a wagyu pizza that was more gimmick than good pizza; the real flavour came from the delicious roasted garlic aioli served on the side. I would try one of the tried and tested options next time. The patio was beautiful, though no airflow.
Excellent pizza and service marred by exorbitant bill. Our server Jason was a amazing, our pizza were excellent. Best we ve ever eaten . Our dessert to die for. The bill felt like we were being cheated and ripped off. The bill arrived firstly there was a glass of Pinot Grigio we never ordered, this was corrected . After finishing our bottle of Dirty Laundry Rose, I suggested to our server that we get a glass to share, my husband opted for getting a glass each. We were not asked whether we wanted a 6 oz or 9oz glass and actually made comment to each other about the generous pour. Since the bottle was $57 we did not consider checking the price of a glass and as a result queries the bill charge of $48 for 2 glasses of wine. The server confirmed that this was correct and the listed price. In the spirit of good customer service I would have expected a manger to have the decency to at least chat to us about this but this did not occur. We paid the bill $220 for 2 pizzas, a bottle and 2 glasses of wine and dessert. Not even in Vancouver On my way out I approached the manager but he didn t seem to care . So sad that what was an amazing evening was ruined. Obviously they don t need the business because they ll never get ours again. Don t offer an apology too little too late SOOOO SO SAD you don t value customers.
Sitting upstairs, outside, in the covered garden is lovely. There are fresh herbs and other plants throughout the area creating a very Mediterranean atmosphere. Our server (Jason?) was phenomenal and witty. The dinner for 2 (appy, pizza, main, and desert) with a bottle of wine was ~$100 and could have fed four people easily. Each dish was good in its own way, my favourite being the brussel sprout appy. My only complaint is that Betulla (birch) should be spelled with only one l.
Betulla Burning is a pretty amazing place. The pizza is phenomenal and the service has always been excellent. I ve gone several times on short notice with fair size groups and we ve always been warmly welcomed. I go whenever I m in PG!
The food was excellent! Amazing flavours and prepared beautifully. Jason was a delight; made great recommendations and was so up beat and welcoming. Top Notch Stuff - Team Betulla!
The food, especially the chicken appetizer and the pizza are amazing, u got to try it out. The ambience is so relaxing and well kept. Loved the place
Im forever in love with Betulla. The drinks and food are absolutely amazing. Heaven.
The dishes created here are unique and delicious. Im always interested to see whats new on the menu. It was busier than usual on the Monday when we arrived. We expected delays but the food and drinks came at regular intervals. Great job staff! Also, the smoked squid appy was amazingly tender, a winning dish for sure. No photos sorry, ate it to quick.
Whether its a table of family, friends or associates, you are guaranteed a great night out. The food and service was great, share the different pizzas with your table! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available, great portions
Great cocktails, good food, friendly service. Expect about $50/person with cocktails Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian-friendly cheese
We had a decent meal but when the bill came they had charged us about 30% more than the price on the menu. Their explanation was oh we brought you the dinner sized pizzas so its more expensive which doesnt make sense given we ordered from the lunch menu.
Food and service was amazing. First time there for us so we did not have reservations but got in. I would make reservations.
Great food, great service.
So good we went there twice on our weekend trip to PG! Even by Vancouver standards this is outstanding. Overall very fresh and quality ingredients, good pairing of flavors, and well executed baking. Fried chicken has a light, thin batter, not overfried, with tender chicken and matching pickles/brussel sprouts/jalapenos. Flaky and crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Soppressata fig pizza had a white sauce base (I think with goat cheese) and generous salami, topped with fresh arugula and drizzled balsamic. Everything combined perfectly and the crust was also leavened very well, with earthly yeast flavors and wooden aroma. Big Kahuna pizza also had the great crust, and flavor was above average. Wagyu burger was below expectation. Not much different from a regular burger and slightly dry/burnt. Italian doughnuts were interesting. If you liked the crust, this is literally bits of the crust fried and coated with cinnamon sugar, dipped in a sweet and sour sauce. Wouldnt consider it a dessert since its more on the salty side, but very good nevertheless. Patio was heated and lovely decorated. Servers were patient and attentive even on a busy night with an understaffed kitchen.
Great pizza and appetizers
Delicious pizza and fancy yet very cozy environment.
An Italian wannabe restaurant 1.2 Million, pizza price average 35 Dollars , waiting for 20 minutes to be served, learning how to burn pizza PRICELESS. I left.... never coming back for #BURNTPIZZA
Booked online on google but the place was closed on 4th September even when they were open on google
Fried chicken was the best Ive ever had in my life. Gf got the squid it was unreal as well. Pizza was out of this world. doughnut even get me started on the doughnuts the apricot jam they have to dip in is TO DIE FOR. The atmosphere was on point 27/10 went lastnight and would go again today.
Staff were amazing, food was delicious and the outside patio was really nice.
We all had appetizers, which were delicious and unique. All had medium done steaks. The best steak we have had in years. Our server Johnny was great. I definitely will go again.
Lovely luxurious & moody atmosphere, delicious food & drinks and great service. I do wish they had some more salad options! I come here for a special date night or when company come to town. Definitely a great spot to have dinner in P.G.
One of the best places in town for a nice meal out. Great food, love the patio, neat open kitchen
The meal was decent. The service was terrible. The waiting person was non attentive, even a simple thing like getting a water refill took forever. When the meal was totally finished, It took almost 30 minutes to get our bill. She seamed to be having difficulty at the order computer, but didnt ask anyone for assistance.
The best cocktails are a bit pricey but sooo worth the experience. I will for sure go again a little gem in PG
Pizza was a little salty.
Great atmosphere Great food Awesome ceasar Fantastic service. Food : 5/5 |
This place has a lot of character. Wood fired pizza oven for all to see. Service is second to none. Nice atmosphere and the best pizza ever.
We loved this place. I was in town for a week and happy we stopped here. Such a nice atmosphere and the subtle smell of birch wood is a treat ( wood burning fire enthusiast here) My husband says that his pasta was the best that he ever had at a restaurant, so flavourful and mind blowing in taste. I had the salmon wellington, it was phenomenal, hats down to the chef. We ended up ordering the donuts, as well, yum yum yum, all I can say. Good job team and keep it up.
Incredible food and service! Dietary restrictions: Vegan Friendly Food : 5/5 |
Great pizza & drinks! Went there late but they were still happy to host us!
Took my 4 year old daughter here for a daddy daughter date and she loved it. The kids pizza was huge, she loved that she could see the oven, and they let us wander up stairs so she could see everything. Me and her mom and our first date here as well years ago and both experiences were great. My daughter and myself loved our meals and the leftover were great heated up in the convection oven.
We got to sit on the patio for dinner here, which was very nice and cosy. They have a good selection of house made lemonades and we tried the blueberry and the strawberry one, which both were really tasty. As a vegan option they have the chef s special, which gets you a surprise pizza made out of different toppings the kitchen has available for the day and I think is a really nice idea. While one of our vegan specials seemed to include everything which was on the menu, the other one just came with corn, zucchini and mushrooms on it, which could have been a bit more balanced among the two. All in all the pizza was okay, the tomato sauce was alright, the dough was a bit too thick from what I know of neapolitan style pizza. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
Had a great experience at Betulla. We did the dinner for two plus a bottle of wine which was about $90, which is a fair price for this quality of food. The kimchi cauliflower was very tasty - perfect level of spice, and the pesto that came with it was a great addition. Each of us had a pizza - the carne amore and smoked chicken apricot bbq. Totally different pizzas, and both amazing on their own way. The ricotta cake to finish was excellent. Was surprisingly light with a nice lemon sauce on top. Our waitress Darby was also excellent. Very attentive, super friendly with great recommendations. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really enjoyable as well. We had a seat upstairs with a cool view of the kitchen and rest of the restaurant. Would highly recommend, very happy we visited this restaurant!
Great Food, beautiful place, clean and neat, just a perfect place to go with family and friends. I loved it
Nice service Delicious food Nice.wine
Everything here seemed ok The pizza crust was a bit dry, service was just adequate. However if you are wanting something with a different flare, then this place may be for you. Ill likely give it a miss next time.
Wonderful open atmosphere and great food
Spending a night passing through town and checked out this little gem. Definitely felt like we were back in Vancouver sitting in this restaurant. The food was excellent and the happy hour was great. Wednesday s are happy hour all day. The margarita pizza was fantastic as was the charcuterie board.
The guy preparing/ cooking the pizzas had a beard and didnt have a hairnet covering it. Kind of threw us off, if I could have any suggestion it would be to put a bearnet on, would definitely make me and my s/o feel better. The Margherita pizza was good, Id give a 7/10. I know for takeout the food can get abit cold by the time you get home, but it was good still. If you get a Birria pizza be prepared to be disappointed, it was very mid. Birria tacos are usually exploding with flavour but this pizza version did not, it just tasted like bread with meat. 2/10. Anyway it did satisfy my craving for Woodfire cooked pizza, Id eat again.
Butella Burning might be my favourite place for dinner and drinks in PG. Last night was my third time there and the second time within a week. Last nights experience was exceptional. We didn t have a reservation, so we were offered a seat at the bar (as far as I m concerned, the car seat is the best seat in the house). We ordered the fried chicken and olives to start. The fried chicken is so good. The drinks were next level delicious and our server/bartender was truly the gem of the evening. She made me a bartenders choice cocktail that was an absolute work of art. Can t wait for my next visit!
Pizza was delicious and filling. I had the Smoked Chicken and Apricot pizza and highly recommend it. A bit pricey, but worth it for the high quality ingredients.
Pizza & salad was delicious!
BETULLA BURNING -> my aunt and my oldest both really enjoyed the chicken appetizer (supposed to be with jalepenos & cauliflower they both requested without), me and my son skipped appetizers, he had the pepperoni pizza but only because he was 12, kids menu is only for 10.. he was quite disappointed.. the pizza wasnt even cut and he said it lacked cheese.. i told him its because it wasnt a cheese pizza it was a pepperoni pizza :3 my one year old enjoyed the birch boar sausage & LOVED the scrambled eggs, for that reason i would go again, perhaps the brisket mightve been a bit too dry.. though i still enjoyed it and love the fries.. they do not offer gravy, i think it was a horseradish sauce for brisket i really enjoyed, and than my aunt and oldest also got a main order of their Smash Burger, which ii think could be an aquired taste if you dont like smoked i wouldnt recommend though im eager to try next time myself the staff were all amazing, and corner seating in booth was perfect for the booster seat and baby beautiful atmosphere i might give a 7/10, $$$ (for 4 +1, generous tip) - off course too reading now the google reviews.. i cant say if anything was undercooked,
