My husband and I had breakfast this morning, service was great, very clean restaurant, food could have been a hotter, was really good tho. Meet a very nice lady while we were waiting for white spot to open. Overall our experience was very good. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast 🤗
Quite a while back, I had been here and had several bad experiences, so I quit going, however, with the prompting of a few people, I was assured that things had greatly improved and encouraged me to once again try. I went out and had the fish and chips and really enjoyed them. Went a second time and had a clubhouse sandwich, and again, I was satisfied with it. Since then, I have gone many a time for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and occasionally dinner. The food is good to excellent, and I am glad to see the great turnaround. Service is good, staff are friendly and I would love to give a big thumbs up to their milkshakes. My favorite is the blueberry, you won't be disappointed.
Foods always good. Burgers are deadly. Ordered take out today. Chef Ramsey could make a comeback on tv with an episode tuning up this location as far as customer service goes. They for got 2 of 3 sides, jus for beef dip, dip for wings. I called and they offered a $15 gift card, they ended up giving 50 when I went to pick up my sides. A lady came in directly behind me and the cooks didn’t put rice in her stir fry for take out. Almost all the staff was in the back packing take out orders. Too many hands on the wheel. Seems like a lack of leadership and direction making lots of room for errors.
Very good food when I ate here with my family. Flavorful. Hashbrowns were a little darker then preferred but didn't taste charcoally or burnt. The au jus wasn't overly oily which must mean it was skimmed! Fries are not good warmed up, so eat them at the restaurant lol. Customer service was good. She was quite busy but still made quite the effort to check in on us.
We visited this place for breakfast and my over all experience was great and good food
Haven't been to white spot in a little while, but I distinctly remember dish portions being better. Just got home from McDonald's after eating out at white spot. I wanted some decent fish a chips, but I stead of the good portions I remember, I got a kids sized meal. Color me unimpressed, I highly recommend everyone either go to Joey's or the BX if you're craving Fish&Chips like I was.. because this just isn't cutting it. This cost me $25
The brunch on Sunday morning was delicious! For drinks, we had Virgin Caesars and Milkshakes, and for food, we had Avocado Queso Bowl and Cheesesteak Hash, both of which were filling and tasty! Would love to return.
Had the Cheesesteak Hash with sourdough toast and a pancake and a Vanilla Shake! Tasted great!
Good breakfast selection. The service was good and the food was good.
Great service and food.
Delicious meal, plentiful and well prepared. Friendly outgoing waitress who treated us very well
I like this spot lol
Good service overall. Prices are a little high for certain things ($4.30 For a cup of coffee). But good food. Food
Eat here regularly, always good.
Great food, friendly service , and always a positive environment. Would definitely recommend, and for those looking for a breakfast option, get the BC Sunny Start breakfast sandwich with endless Smash potatoes!! Food : 5/5
Great breakfast! Dietary restrictions: Good GF options for breakfast Food : 5/5 |
Went there Saturday night at 8:45 and they wouldnt serve me because they were shutting down cuz it wasnt that busy.... What a joke Ill never be back after driving half an hour to get here. Waste my time and fuel. All you have to do is post it on your site that youre closing early and I wouldnt have bothered coming
Love the food!! Great service. But all the waitress are from India. Now Im all for people coming to Canada. And East Indian woman are super model beautiful!! Some are in search for a better life. I welcome you to Canada with open arms!! And I hope they all find a good life! But I ordered the perogies. And I had asked her if it came with sour cream. She said sorry what did you say sour what and than she looked in the menu a couple of minutes and than said to me again sour what Like come on man!! You work in the restaurant industry and you dont know what sour cream is. Or at least know what Im talking about food wise. I said to her dont worry its not important lol. Clearly White Spot now hires people with the no or very little English skills. It didnt bother me, but Im posting this in hopes White Spot management sees this post and corrects this! Maybe send White Spot staff to English grammar school, for those who struggle with speaking Canadian. Personally I dont care if yr yellow or brown or white or black. But how can you not know what a pretty well known food is called and you work as a waitress in a popular restaurant! Still love White Spot!! Good food!! I always recommend it, just be prepared to meet a young east Indian gal who cant speak or understand Englis very well. White Spot rocks!!
Nice meal, friendly service, reasonably priced
We brought 7 ppl and got sat right away. Our waitress was really good, and the food was delicious. Kid-friendliness: The wait staff was great with my nurodiverse daughter.
I was looking quite forward to my experience at this BC staple, maybe I had built it up to much In my mind, but the food was more expensive then expected, and they where some of the worst fries and gravy I have ever had. But the servers where great, and I did enjoy my time there
Friendly staff, food tasted good
Really enjoyed adult Pirate Pak Day. Hoping they do it again next year
Great service, great food. What more can I say?
Use to go here all the time and spent lots of money at the White Spot and always gave good tips to the waitresses all over BC but Havent gone there since they demanded proof of the COVID shots back when we had the scamdemic but it is a good place to eat
Our order got lost. We waited over an hour to get very mediocre food at a high price.
The server was excellent, she really went above and beyond standard expectations!
Overpriced for how to food was prepared
The food could be better. The service is great though.
Delicious burger and blueberry pie
Excellent service, good food and great ambience. Conveniently located in downtown with lots of free parking.
My go to spot for breakfast. Good service, food is tasty and good quality , excellent staff to wait on tables.
Over priced food with little put on plate.
We went to the store to celebrate Fathers Day with family and friends. The food we ordered from appetizers (crispy ribs, cheesy bacon perogies, onion rings, zoo sticks) , ckn & brie salad to main meals(full rack ribs, garlic prawn spag & clubhouse sand) were very delicious and prepared very well, totally satisfying our palates. The food was fresh, hot at the right temperature and I love the fresh crispy fries and the garlic prawn spaghetti. The ribs, as usual, never fail to satisfy my deep craving for its soft, juicy meat. The service was very good and I am totally satisfied ; meeting our expectations. The store was generally clean, likewise, the restrooms properly maintained. Parking: Didnt have any difficulty finding parking even with the wheelchair taxi. Wheelchair accessibility: Catering to person on a wheelchair. I can say very accessible, since we visited with my spouse to celebrate Fathers Day. Hes on a wheelchair and he didnt have any difficulty.
Heavily understaffed. Especially considering we had 14 of us at the table. Pre-booked I might add. The waitress did her best. Sounded like she was putting out fires everywhere that day. Food was pretty decent.
Great to bring kids to but when they are busier, food comes out cold, and cheese on burgers isnt melted.
This place was great!! We had a large group of 20 or more plus 3 little ones. Service and food were both excellent! The waitress was on top of everything. Id highly rrecommend going!
Service was good. Our hamburgers were a little dry, and the fries looked like they came from the bottom of the bag; and the portions were skimpy. Zoo sticks were great!
Staff very friendly
Food was alright, atmosphere was balanced, great location for conversations
It s my favourite restaurant. I wish we had one in Quesnel. Wheelchair accessibility: Parking was easy Food : 5/5 |
Id give it 5 stars if it was consistent. When its good, its really good, but when its bad its really dissapointing. The staff are always pleasant and it is a good place to bring the family and friends.
Couldnt have asked for better service and food. The manager graciously accommodated my 20 guests at a Celebration of Life for my mother.
Awesome place to go sit to eat. Only downside is the part of town. And I wish they didn t take deep fried ravioli off the menu:/
Good Food, Great service!
Very nice. Good food. Good service.
Gotta love the bacon cheddar burger with their amazing poutine, those fries may have been huge but it tastes way much better than what you get in the province of Quebec.
First photo is not White Spot... But none the less the food is still good, going to White Spot the environment is easy going and happy... So order an Appy nd enjoy the calming space and great food Vegetarian options: Zoo sticks are nice and many other veg options are available Parking: Parking is available at the back... More space Kid-friendliness: Theres a kid menu and pirate pack day usually is a goto for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Only one floor so no need for stairs
Good dinner spot, great service. Food was tasty.
The server was awesome, restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Unfortunately, they gave me a very well-done steak when I ordered medium. No, I didnt send it back, I have trust issues. Not to mention the inconvenience of sitting there waiting for food while everyone else is eating. Burgers are great, but I wouldnt splurge on a steak unless you like to send food back. Flavor wasnt there either for the steak. I can make it better at home. Kids Mac n cheese was super bland as well. I would go back but stick to burgers. Pirate packs are awesome and a kid favorite. Kid-friendliness: Pirate packs are amazing, and the whole reason we go.
We ve been going here for over 12 years! Excellent service. Love the endless smashbrowns, the coffee here is the best in town
I know I was ordering a turkey dinner to heat & serve but I got no gravy and no cranberry sauce .. So sad I love white spot what happen !!
Great Western Omelet breakfast but loved their Smashed Potatos
A better White Spot for sure. Food Great. Service was better than many fine dining places Ive been to, and thats a few. Ian was an excellent server. Not for every day but one of the best White Spot experiences Ive had.
Awesome breakfast!
Good food good atmosphere
The Onion rings were burnt French fries were burnt The bacon was too greasy
Good service and larger portions than I expected.
On Sunday there was vomit outside the front doors which looked like it had been from the night before. The hostess didnt seem to as I was telling her. It was a total turnoff as I was going in for breakfast. As I left the vomit still remained Kid-friendliness: Decent price kids menu.
Expensive
Went for the first time in ages. Food was OK, didnt find the portions reflected the pricing but I suppose inflation and the cost of literally everything going up. Had the basic breakfast, the half waffle was the star of my meal. My meal was plated on a rectangular plate and felt more like it was trying to be fancier than it was. Like it was a breakfast sampler intead of a meal you know? I dont recommend their coffee. I LOVE my coffee and I couldnt drink it. There was no amount of creamer or sugar that could save it Im sorry to say. If youre looking for that hint of a burnt taste and ability to stand a spoon up in it, this is the coffee place for you my friend! No wait when we got there, host and server were amazing, nice and quiet on a Saturday, we beat the lunch rush so I think this is why. We may stick to our regular breakfast/brunch spot for now.... unless they bring back the Pirate Pack that was an actual boat with the straw as the mast, the gold chocolate coin, chicken fingers or burger below deck and a side of ice cream on board that was for kids 12 and under.... bring that back and try and stop me from ordering it.... Ill make ye walk tha plank!
Nice diner. The Happy Hour is really good. Food is simple and tasty. Service is good.
We were a table of 5 arriving around noon. Nearly no servers for a busy Saturday lunch and there appeared to be too many busers who were often standing around looking bored. Our server had 5 other tables and while friendly, did not have the time to check in more than twice over the hour we were waiting and the 25 mins we were eating. The food took an exceptionally long time to come. When it finally did arrive, it was very bland, gravy for fries was chunky, most of our orders had sat on the warmer so long that the fries had shriveled and dried out, Salads were warm and wilted, one coleslaw was even hot, one burger was served fallen over on the plate, the chicken breast and beef dip were very dry and flavourless. The milkshakes were good, the ceaser was served in a glass half full of ice, in a small glass and was very unsatisfying. The best and most consistent beverages were the glasses of water with lemon.
Not the best white spot ive been to but it was still head and shoulders above anything else in its price range.
As a visitor to Prince George and unfamiliar with the restaurants in the area I decided to go with an old favourite for breakfast. The PG White Spot delivered on a great breakfast and great service and I was made to feel welcomed and, ultimately, well fed. Just when I thought the morning couldn t be improved I found myself waiting for a cab that was potentially never going to arrive when the owner offered to drive me to my meeting that morning. A drive that was through snow clogged streets, bad visibility and totally above and beyond on a community service level. My thanks and appreciation to all y all from cooks straight through to management. You re appreciated.
Had ceaser salad . Very tastey and fresh . Server quick and friendly. Enjoyed
Great restaurant with great food!!! Our server Ian was adorable and full of personality plus. He was attentive, entertaining and although he was EXTREMELY busy he made time to have a little fun chat with my daughter White Spot is so lucky to have such a kind soul as him!!
Our server was amazing and food was great
Good place.
2 stars only my fish was good, the children enjoyed their food. But my husband s burger was not cooked. For the cost of food especially ordering in so expensive should be cooked properly
Dietary restrictions: Many Gluten friendly options and a dedicated fryer for fries. Food
Ice cold soup . Ice cold burger. Reasonable fries. Food
Its a good place eat I loved it
The server was attentive. The food was good.
As good as all White Spots, just not such a great location anymore.
Great for our large group. Kid-friendliness: Great space for kids and all together Food : 5/5 |
Soup was in a very.tiny bowl and tasted like a caned soup.
Hands down biggest whitespot been in. Great food shredded hash. Food
Very nice meal, good service.
We sat for an hour with no drinks, no apology, it was insane. I love White Spot, I would never eat at the one in Prince George, terrible service. We left. I m travelling with 4 kids, and this was an insane waste of time.
Most expensive cup of coffee and refill Ive ever had. $4.29. Wasnt a specialty coffee, just regular cup, cream & sugar.
The people ahead of us had the door held open and did not see the hour plus wait for food sign. Was 1.5 hour wait for food and 2 plates were cold. We ate anyway and saw the sign as we left on the inside door. Our server was excellent and funny. Parking: For the restaurant being maybe 1/3 full had to do 2 laps of the lot to find a spot. The homeless guy with his pants down in the lot between White spot and Tim hortons was enexpected, but our downtown is turning into a disgusting place.
I have never felt so unwelcome and to top it off we spent 22 dollars on a B LT more lettuces and maybe 12 fries so 10 dollars on half a BLT IS unheard of not happy
On an hour lunch break, our food ( two of us) took 40 minutes to arrive! The restaurant was not busy. The burgers were tasty. Yummy Triple O sauce! I love their coleslaw too! Food : 4/5
Tonight we ordered from white spot we both thought it would be a good change. We were so looking forward to the change . So it was extremely disappointing when we received our food. The seafood fettuccine had zero flavour and the seafood they placed in it was either non existent or whipped into the sauce. Considering the price of the plate I was expecting much better. The Caesar salad well again the price of the place I was at least expecting romaine lettuce it was iceberg . I will say tho that the fresh Parmesan was a nice surprise it s just to bad it wasn t grated. The cheese cake is a laughable excuse to be considered as such. It is nothing more then a whipped topping with a gelatin for flavour. The strawberry topping was bitter Zero sweetness and the whipped cream left that after taste of to much heavy cream. That was my meal The other meal was missing the potatoes but eh what s steak with potatoes. It can do with out . The steak was over cooked . Which is again the price of the plate you would think the know how on timing steak would be priority or cooking 101. Oh the second dessert it was brownie which was delightful and the ice cream was Devine. My milkshake which was strawberry was very good as well. Rich and creamy , whipped well , it was delicious. I m very disappointed white spot , I do hope you improve . Have a good night
A great place to eat or dine. I highly recommend the breakfast menu!!
Love their breakfast menu
Great food great service !!
My favorite BC restaurant. Never miss a visit when I come back home.
food is always good, service is usually good. unfortunately not a great location and the potholes in the parking lot are atrocious
Redeemed in for lunch is very good. Service was great. Waitress was very friendly. Very cute
Very good food. Getting extra coffee wasnt very easy.
Everything you expect in a breakfast
Love the Fish and chips. Sooooo good.thank you white spot.
Food is pretty good, but service isnt great and there are a lot of crackheads hanging around the area.
We went for brunch, it was fantastic, no wait to get in food was good service was good.
The chicken caeser salad was yum however the chicken pieces were not fresh .The service is fine.
Love me some white spot! My fav sandwich is the shrimp
Good place I love the food there especially their burgers great pancakes too
Best eatery in town... Kid-friendliness: very good for kids Food : 5/5 |
Excellent food and service.
Very nice surprise. Good food and friendly staff. Lots of space. I was there for a meeting and really appreciated the waiter not interrupting our discussion. Excellent!
Excellent breakfast
Burger was put together very sloppy. Waitress was pleasant.
Very slow service, food was ok but not great....
Good quick tasty brekky
Took 1.5 hours to get our food and another 30 to get the bill. Had to ask for service every time servers wouldnt check on the table. Terrible service.
Great breakfast options for kids and adults. Very accommodating of our larger group.
Too slow.
If you like sitting with an empty cup of coffee waiting for your server this is the place for you. Theres a lovely view of a garbage can where numerous people can be seen arguing with each other while trying to do their part by recycling. The service was terrible, ordered a pirate pack breakfast for my toddler for the fun of the pirate pack but no pirate ship arrived. Why call it a pirate pack if it doesnt feature the pirates?
Wonderful breakfast. My husband was reluctant for go there, but was pleasantly surprised and my breakfast was delicious. The service was great.
White Spot is always a great experience. Stopped in for a late breakfast and had the eggs benedict. Nice meal.
It s rare these days to find a restaurant that will let you swap your eggs for something else. Nice to see a decent restaurant still around. Service was fast and the food was good and hot!
Great spot for the family meal was great Kid-friendliness: Great kid menu and it come in a pirate ship the mean Recommended dishes Fish and Chips
I like the florentine omelwt was good the menue is good variety too, have a bar too
Took over 30 minutes to get our food. Really slow service. Not great experience overhaul. First time and wont go back.
Friendly staff and prompt service
Missed getting the awesome waitress name, but she made sure we were satisfied with our amazingly plated food. Enjoyed the atmosphere as well
The staff was incredibly kind and of excellent service. However, where they fell short is in the quality of food. We ordered zoo sticks which had little to no coating, making them essentially warmed moist zucchini. We sent them back and got the same problem again.
We felt ignored. Ordered 1 water and 1 beer, got 2 waters, never saw the beer until we were charged for it. My portion was so small I had to eat the coleslaw from my husbands plate. It doesnt take much to make hashbrowns taste better. Kid-friendliness: You should try to seat people without kids away from the kids
Legendary burger with extra OOO... the best! (Ask for extra napkins) Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is level with the parking lot, aisles quite wide, accessible washroom. Recommended dishes
the server I had was clearly doing their best, which was appreciated, but the food was terrible, the floors were sticky, the bathroom was gross, and it took over an hour for them to bring me my cold meal :(
Great service very attentive staff and our orders were delicious
Good breakfast with friendly service. Enjoyed our meals.
I ordered in from this white spot. The zucchini sticks and dip were good. The cheeseburger, however was cold and the bottom half of the bun was HARD! Buns are supposed to be fresh and soft! How old was this bun? Why was the burger cold, the cheese wasnt even melted!! Not impressed!
Good food. Fast service
Wish we had one in Prince Rupert
Went to pick up an order and discovered that my drinks were there. Called them back. They wanted me to drive back to get the drinks. I asked to be refunded for the drinks. They said the manager would have to do that the next day. I never received my refund. Not impressed.
We were early but we saw ppl leave due to no one attending the front desk or cleaning tables. Understaffed. No one to bus tables. Parking: Street and lot
Good food, good service, friendly staff
Great breakfast
45 min for breakfast, food cold, gross. Not worth tge money. Said something and nothing done.
Just ate at White Spot again in December for the 6th time . The food was ** SPOT ON ** pun intended.. LoL. Our server Sidney was amazing! She checked on us every few minutes and she made sure the food came out in a timely fashion.. The food looked great !! And it arrived piping hot . We really enjoyed our meals. Ive got my family and friends all coming now because of the recent boost in good service and food quality. Our server Sidney was the Star of the show . She is a kind server that was hustled around and still made sure we were kept very happy. I look forward to having Sidney serve us next time I come in for the amazing CLAM CHOWDER. I also wanna thank the cooks and management they have really got it together this last month or so ... 5 STARS
Food was OK, service was OK. Not particulary hot, everyhting seemd to have been sitting under a lamp or something? We went to a sit down white spot because we dont have one where I live anymore. Next time well go to the drive through Triple O on the side of an esso station and skip the sit down.
Brought our hockey team in preordered a day before best service and food have had in all my years with sports teams. Great job
Young staff wich is great to see but no organization. Brought me a salad to start and then again with my meal. Told us the soups and then came back saying they were out of one of the choices and then said they only had, and said a completely new soup not mentioned at all the first time. Also brought our food out before the table beside us whom ordered well before we did. Kid-friendliness: Seems kid friendly and lots of parkib
White Spot has traditionally been a favorite of mine for years. No more, service was terrible and food was worse. Burgers were overcooked and dry, and my favorite zoo sticks were mushy and gross.
My son s baseball team went to this White Spot for a team lunch. They had a section at the back that comfortably accommodated our group of 30, with room for more. At first we were concerned because there was only one server assigned to our group but she was fantastic! She worked quickly and efficiently, with a smile on her face the whole time! The kitchen staff also should be commended - our food was prepared quickly despite the restaurant being busy. We were in and out in about an hour and a half. Amazing! I would highly recommend this location for group/team meals!
All around good place
Pretty decent wish they stayed open longer but could just be COVID I suppose
Went for food and got a free show
Weve been to thos White Spot several times throughout the years. The food and service have been consistently high quality. Even at busy times it is quiet enough to have a conversation with your meal. While there are many nice specialty restaurants in Prince George, the White Spot remains a reliable go to place for a great meal or meeting place.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian wife able to satisfy her food restrictions. Food
We got seated right away according to our stated preferences Our server was attentive, and the food was great. They accidentally gave me salad instead of fries for my side, but this was quickly corrected. Overall, it was a good experience. Dietary restrictions: White Spot has gluten free menu items. Parking: There is plenty of free on site parking. Kid-friendliness: Their Pirate Packs are always a hit with the kids. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is fully accessible, and they have an accessible washroom.
Food servings were small especially the Fisg and chips but were tasty nevertheless
Really good place favorite restaurant a little expensive though
Quite expensive nowadays to eat out over $100 for lunch but, White Spot is always pretty good to go out to eat. Parking: Little bit tight because of the layout of the tim Hortons beside but lots of space when you get in. Kid-friendliness: Pirate packs are always a hit. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible for wheelchairs. Flat ground and wide doorways.
Soso
Hats off to our server Zoe. My bf and I went out to lunch and Zoe was our server she was so kind and funny. She was also quick with getting anything we needed. Absolutely a 5 star experience!
Great breakfast
Food was ok... Service very good!
White Spot is a good family style restaurant. Had lunch here and the food and service was very good.
I had a super nice waiter. Good food as well Food
Never bad
