What a waste of money. Is this supposed to be a fine dining restaurant? It is just a motel restaurant serving pub food. It is loud and the air conditioning was cranked up too. It felt like -20 degrees where we were supplied blankets to keep warm. What a sham

I recommend sitting at the bar because you can see the food being prepared. It was fun to watch the whole time, like watching Black and White Chef. The food was absolutely amazing and I will definitely come back next time Im in Sydney!

Fantastic meals, great efficient service

I book the reservation for 4 people 10 days ago and they put us at the corner table with low light, less view of the harbour even u can t see the fireworks there and all the food and drinks serve really slow at least waiting 35 minutes after starter done, many time mistakes of the wrong food delivery.

Went in September for husbands 75th birthday and was asked on booking if it was a special occasion so i advised. Absolutely no acknowledgement was made apart from on arrival whose birthday is it? Service very poor- elements of meal were forgotten dietary requirements not adhered to. Too many different wait staff who didnt know what the other ones were doing.Would not recommend except friends have booked 6 of us for 23 November so will give them one more chance. Hope it is better otherwise not going back again.

Do yourself a favour and go to McDonalds. Had lunch and it was the worse food I ever had. Chips were undercooked. Burger patty dry and overcooked. Sesame toast was extremely oily. Fish for the fish and chip was also too oily.

The atmosphere is very good, but we went for the aged meat and the cut was not good and even when we asked for it rare, they brought it out very well done. I didnt like it, a product of moderate quality is mistreated. I am really satisfied with the taste and atmosphere. In particular, Irene, a Korean staff member, kindly recommended the menu and cooking level, so I had a very satisfying meal with my parents! ~^^

The view, the food, ambience, and service from Monsa, and the hostess were all exquisite. We share the paneer naan, butter chicken, and seared scallops, all cooked to perfection, and an enjoyable experience with a great city view.

It was a very satisfying stay at the hotel, which provided a beautiful meal of a well-grilled steak and a glass of wine, and was even served a birthday cake by the friendly staff.

Food was very good but leaving this review specifically for the cocktail I had their specialty, the Ternar-tini (or something like that). I ve tried a lot of cocktails but this was quite frankly the best cocktail I ve ever had, not joking. It was not too sweet, not too tart. I d drink that every day if I could! Highly recommend just for this drink alone!

My wife and I enjoy our experience here. We had the pleasure of being greeted by Eric whose attentive service made us feel truly valued as customers, going above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional. Views and general atmosphere was pretty good. The bar staff were very good, but wait staff (including who appeared to be the floor manager) were quite rude when I complained that my steak was mainly fat and asked for a new one. The first member of staff didnt even let me finish speaking and turned her back on me and walked off mid sentence. Her supervisor came over and quite aggressively asked what the problem was. I explained that it was mainly fat. She said it was a scotch filet, i said i had ordered a sirloin. She then said she woild speak to the chef. A new steak was brought out that was far better and what i had priginally expected. The supervisor the proceeded to lecture me on how to eat steak!! Having dined in some of the best restaurants in Australia and Europe, i tried not to feel insulted. I also happen to dine in a lot of Accor hotels for convenience due to work and this was by far one of my worst experiences eating in one. Unlikely to come back again!

The Ternary is always wonderful dining, great food and a variety of great options to suit our family. Consistently good taste and quality. The buffet breakfast is a winner for the kids!

Such a nice restaurant, took my father and sister out for an early fathers day dinner and were blown away by how beautiful this place is. From the food to the atmosphere and to the staff which were very kind.

We always have the BEST experience here, but last night was exceptionally amazing. Not only was the food SO GOOD (as always), but our server Ella made our experience that much more lovely. She was professional and personable all at the same. Will keep coming back again and again, and hope for Ella again!

I made a reservation before the fireworks display on Saturday. I made a reservation to get a good view of the Darling Harbor fireworks on the last day in Sydney, and I was ecstatic to get a window seat. The server in charge, IRENE, treated me with family-like kindness and comfort, making my visit even more enjoyable.

Been here twice., during my short stay in Sydney. Food was excellent and the staff were nice and friendly. I had the sirloin steak prepared as red, and the chef delivered to perfection. The next day I had the thai style salmon, that was amazing. They have options for both alcoholic and none alcoholic cocktails which is a very nice touch. I will definitely visit this place again next time I am in Sydney

Pleasant place but perhaps because inside the Novotel, very chaotic and distracting. Good service and management by the staff. Average food but not excellent or at least it didnt seem up to par compared to other places. All in all good. Octopus in red wine, chicken breast and spinach, a glass of red wine 57.40. I think its disproportionate for the quantity and quality of the food.

Fish of the day was cod, nice fried skin, but the rest of the cod was quite overcooked. Their beef is pretty good though.

Came here on my own as a little treat to myself without a reservation. I was immediately greeted with a cheerful host who started my evening with such great energy. I was seated by the grill and got to watch such a cohesive kitchen team at work. My server Jenn was such a delight whenever she came past and made sure my order was served as I had requested. Special mention also to Robin the chef who of course was super busy but also made a point to create a very personable experience. I definitely felt at ease from the staff from start to finish and as a solo diner who decided at the last minute to take a chance I was not disappointed on a Saturday night. I left with a few laughs and a smile on my face.

Some truly top notch food, and you need to try the Chocolate Delight for dessert the best dessert I have had in a restaurant ever. Staff is also quick and nice, and you get a nice atmosphere in the hotel. Food is just very, very pricey.

We had our wedding anniversary at the hotel and at this restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious and fast to come out. Our glasses were never empty. The staff were very friendly I wanted to say a special thank you to our wonderful server, Monse, who was busy but made time for us and had a few laughs with us and made our experience that bit better. We sneak in here a bit too often for an easy family dinner midweek and weekends. Great service and food is always top notch, given its in the hotel has a nice relaxed vibe. Guilty secret in the fact we also frequent for the Buffett breakfasts which are good for kids to dig into and no washing up at home!

- Delicious food, no faulty, the taste is balance. mixed cuisine which we love..Asian and European/Australian. There are many things you can use, Indian taste, Asian, Steak, Grilled, Pasta, Thai. Beef, Seafood, Chicken, Vegetarian. This will suit everyone! - The portion is perfect, starter for one person. For us, we have ordered many starter to share. For main, also perfect portion, if you have only main, it will be enough as well (to keep room for dessert) We have ordered : Starter : - Sashimi (My favourite of the day, full of flavourand fresh) , - Duck: Yummy Thai taste from Betal leaves. - Prawn with a Bun, full of flavour, 2 big size prawns. - Oysters Kilpatrick and Namjim : Oyster were fresh, Kilpatrickas expected but for Nam Jim, I preferthe real Thai spicy one. - Naan with Cheese and garlic , a lot of cheese, love it. - Scallops , refreshing but could be kore flavour. Main : Bug and Scott Fillet (changed from Spinach to Briccolini, perfect choice) The gravy (Peppercorn was a bit too thin/runny for our liking but the taste was good) Bug got 3 pieces (1 and a half Bug) Fresh and perfectly cook. Steak cooked as requested, Medium-rare. - Atmosphere, we booked to sit next to the open kitchen, it is interesting to watch the chefs, they work well together, everyone does their own job then combine together to be a beautiful meal. - Drink : We have ordered cocktails, irlt was delicious but not too strong of alcohol. Pay $5/pp for unlimited sparkling water. - Service , the lady who helped us was lovely and polite and attentive but I feel that she has to look after many customers, not her fault, just the management need to think about putting nore staff on the floor. If there are more staff, there will be another level of service for how to service to customers. - Value: We will give 5 stars because we got 50% off from food as being Accor Member. If we have to pay the full price, we will give 4 stars, because with the price of food and drink, the service should be better like a fine dining (or at least like The Grass Brasserie at Hilton) - At check out, when checking the bill, we were charged 2 portion of Bug, instead of 1. Never mind, just need to correct it. Customers just need to double check before paying. When want to pay and get a discount, recommend to have physical Accor card to use as it take time for staff to find in system. Overall: Food was delicious, good value when getting discounts.

The food was so good that we came back 3 times during our 10 trip to Sydney. We had the beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce so good! I would also mention that Paul, the hall manager, was extremely helpful with his suggestions and sincerity. We came back because of his warm and welcoming demeanor. The wait staff was exceptional.

In Sydney on the 11th I visited 3 times while I was there. Paul, a Korean employee, was so kind. Even the wine selection is explained and which wines are available. I was able to order it very comfortably because they recommended it to me to see if it would suit me better. The Tenderloin really melts in your mouth, so I highly recommend it. Its all so good. Really Paul, this person is truly professional and has the kindness and manners of a hotelier. The food was delicious, but dinner at this restaurant was even more special thanks to this person. Great vibe , amazing food and fantastic services ! The team at Tenery are super friendly and helpful. My husband and I really enjoyed our dining experience there and I promised i will remember everyone who assisted us at the dinner, and next time we will see them again :) First of all thanks Silvia for her cheerful conversation and suggestions to finish the very authentic and delicious Thai salad that came with the seared scallop; Derek, Irene and shivonne for preparing and cooking my husband and I the most delicious steaks weve ever had; Jess and Cameron who helped us to pair our food with beautiful wines; Ella for her recommendation on desserts; last but not least Anthony for his food recommendations ! Id say it is one of the most diverse restaurants that Ive ever been. They have everything from dim sim, steaks to butter chicken; trying to make sure theres food that suit everyones palette. Not to mention theres fireworks every Saturday, which add an extra level of enjoyment to our dining experience. The food and experience was so memorable that we walked 30 mins from the other side of the city to have breakfast at The Tenary again

She provided excellent & friendly service. Last night, she recognized me & came to say hello. I felt very welcomed & appreciated. When time to pay, Ella was very kind to assist us separate our bill & calculate charges. She was very gracious. The Chef s Table is my favorite place to sit. Absolutely the Most delicious food with a stunning view of the city..I ve been a regular Diner for over 8 years, Chef Robin really knows how to mix and infuse flavors for all the dishes. I ve tried nearly all the dishes and my three favorite dishes would be the Calamari with the chilli jam sauce, you just want to lick the plate, the spicy Scallops which is always soft and melts in your mouth and the Bugs you have to try the bugs they are always full of tender white meat and the garlic butter sauce is delicious but even without it and squeeze some lemons is delicious..Our drinks are always perfect thanks to Anna the Bartender, she knows how to make the most delicious Mocktails, Cocktails and an excellent knowledge of beers and wines. Customer service is always the best, I do have my favorites, Silvia one of the Hosts always tries her best to seat diners where they are comfortable and the waitress Irene and Moser do an excellent job taking our order which is hard with my allergies but they always make sure we are enjoying our meals. If your an Accor member you get a great discount so take my advice and book a table you won t be disappointed. Dietary restrictions: The Chef and Staff try their hardest to ensure meals met any dietary requirements but it s best you advise them when you book a table. Parking: Parking can be hard especially in the city but during the week you might get lucky and find a spot on the street but the parking next to the Novotel is cheaper in the evenings and weekends, you can get great rates if you book a spot online. Wheelchair accessibility: Staff are very accommodating and really take the time to make sure the disabled are comfortable and the wheelchair is accessible.

I am a travel beginner who can only speak English, but luckily when ordering, a Korean server named YUJIN (YUJIN or YUZIN) accepted me, so I was able to order oyster without any difficulty!! She asked us if the taste was good and even greeted us when we were waiting to pay after we finished eating. Thank you and love you very kind server YUJIN. The CEO of Novotel or Accor, please give this employee a special promotion or increase his pay! Thanks to Eugene, 5 stars are definitely worth it. I can only speak English for beginners, but luckily, a Korean server named YUJIN or YUZIN accepted my order, so I was able to order the oyster without any difficulties!! She asked us if it tasted okay and greeted us when we waited to pay after we finished eating. Thank you and I love you, YUJIN server, for being so kind. i wen to the tenary yesterday and today. Today I met a server whose name is Irene, a korean lady. She recommended steak and other dishes. Every dish was super : ) Id like to say how much thankful I am to Iren. I highly recommend the Tenary. The food, service, the atmosphere were perfect. Especially, if you have Accormembership, you can get discount 50%.

A good location for fireworks however, the food there is also wonderful the aged-dried steak is flavourful. I am also impressed by the Atlantic Salmon in Tandoor. Surely to be back here in the future.

Absolute luxury at this place; service is prompt, food is fabulous. The Saturday fireworks are a bonus. Slightly expensive however accor members get 33% off. EDIT: I went again, this time with 4 people (2 cards), and they gave 50% off. Apparently if you order from the kids menu it will void one person from the benefit. Wonderful food with a great view of Darling harbor. Our server Montserra was fabulous and friendly.

Had lunch here today. The menu had plenty of choices of pub style food. We ordered a burger and a steak sandwich with drinks. The food was generous, hot and enjoyable, and service was friendly, maybe a tad slow. The tables had a view of Darling Harbour and the city buildings. We will eat here again.

Had a great experience. Singapore chilli prawns and 500g barmaid bugs. Well worth it.

Food is great and 5 star, the one star is mainly for the seating arrangements we had experienced! On multiple occasions we booked a table days in advance, and when we arrived early and requested to sit by the window, we were told those tables are reserved for other guests. However, we noted a few times after we were told the tables are reserved for other guests, they were never occupied during the 2-2.5 hours while we were there. There was a time we had a chat with the couple who sat next to us by the window and seated at the same time as us, they told us the staff just assigned the table by the window to them and they did not request it. We asked the staff how to secure a window seat, they told us we had to book months in advance in order to secure the seat by the window. Seriously, as much as the food is good and tasty, who would book months in advance just for a window seat? It s not like we are having fine dining at a Michelin star restaurant! I am no expert on how to run and operate a restaurant, but I really doubted those who get the seat by the window had booked months in advance!

Love my sashimi, grilled fish and the naan garlic bread. My friend said her oysters and bugs are excellent.

The staff was absolutely amazing, as was the food and decor. Since the dining area faced Darling Harbor, the fireworks celebrating Chinese New Year was an added bonus.

Avoid at all costs - worst valentines day meal Ive ever had. Despite booking two months in advance, we were sat at a table at the end of the restaurant that was absolutely freezing cold - there was a strong cold breeze coming through the windows, as well as cold aircon, and we were both shivering throughout our entire meal. When asked if this could be fixed, we were told that it couldnt, and the only other table that they were able to offer us was right by where they were cooking the meat, which was not what we wanted for our valentines meal. We ordered a jug of a cocktail, which arrived but was not mixed at all, so the top half of the jug was just soda water. When the food arrived, we were hoping it would warm us up, but it too was extremely cold. When this was raised to the waiting staff, they did nothing to rectify the situation. When we finally asked for the bill, it was brought over only for us to wait for another 15 minutes at the freezing table for someone to take payment, only to be told by another waiter that payment is taken at the front desk, which we had not been told when the bill was brought over. We raised our concerns again with the front desk, who did not care at all about our experience. Avoid dining here, there are far better options in the area with much better service, particularly at this price point.

My family and I had dinner at this restaurant. The food was very good, except the mocktail was off, but the restaurant sorted this for us. We all feel the service could be better: although the restaurant wasn t busy on a week day night, a couple of times it was difficult for us to get attention of the wait staffs. Saying that, the wait staffs who served us especially the reception man staff who sat us down were very friendly. The only drawback was at the end when we paid the bill, we were taken to the front counter to pay, and the woman staff there was very unpleasant - she was in a mood, cold and abrupt - not a nice way to end the evening. The reason why my review takes off one star.

When we arrived at The Ternary, we were warmly welcomed by Yasmina and Eric. Being seated at the grill bar we were able to interact with Chef Robin who was also welcoming. His skills become obvious as we observed him and the resulting food was amazing. All the staff were in fact friendly and professional from start to end and the views of Darling Harbour were impressive.

The food was really not what I expected from a fine dining Australian restaurant, tastes like cheap Asian restaurants food. There is an Asian cuisine section on the menu which I thought was pretty cute, but I always have Asian food so I wanted a change and picked prawn linguine from the other section of the menu. Sadly the linguine was so wrong from all aspects: its look, texture of noodles, cooking style and taste of the sauce. It tastes like what my mom makes me at home, it tasted good if it was considered an Asian stir fried noodles but again really not what I expected from this restaurant at this price. The prawn also didn t taste very fresh. The portion was quite decent though, but I didn t come here for big portions of food One plus side: the Valentine cocktail tasted quite sweet and nice. So I add one star.

Booked this as a modern Australian but it s basically Asian. The steak wasn t the cut we ordered and wasn t good quality at all, the gratin was completely uncooked. I had a salmon that was basically raw (I believe it came from frozen as well) with pumpkin puree without any flavour. Won t be coming back - which is unfortunate as the view is lovely, but the food is genuinely not there. I d also recommend stronger ventilation as the whole place smells like food and if you plan on going somewhere after the dinner you ll have to change. Had dinner here after a few recommendations and so glad we did. Steak was melt in your mouth tender and had a great flavour, spinach & potatoes were nice aswell. Service was top notch, very attentive and friendly staff. Added bonus as an Accor member is 50% off food.

Four of us went & had dinner last night at TheTernary and Veronika and the whole staff were fantastic as usual. The food was terrific and we ve been there many many times and never disappointed. We will be back.

My husband and I had dinner here last night. I ordered the bbq short rib as my husband had ordered it on our last visit here and thoroughly enjoyed it. When it came out I couldn t cut into it. Some parts were ok but HALF was full of fat and grizzle. I d left just over half and explained to our waitress why I couldn t eat it. She also said oh yeah I can see all grizzle and fat she showed the chefs and their reply was that they would speak to their suppliers and they to could see that it was a bad cut of meat. I explained this on paying that I couldn t eat it and I d only eaten just under half. Her reply was I can t do anything about it as you had almost half of it. She replied you should have sent it back when you got it. Ummmm how am I suppose to know how grizzly and fatty it is unless I eat some of it. She was very unhelpful and basically didn t give a care in the world. I didn t want a refund but maybe some kind of discount as over half was sent back. This experience and the way I was treated wasn t acceptable . I was offered nothing and treated poorly.

Great range and choices for breakfast for a Novotel, noticed it had a good Gluten free section as well compared to other Novotels. Breakfast included barista coffee which complements the offering.

Had the pleasure of sitting at the grill on a reasonably quite evening. The food was superb but the highlight of the meal was certainly chef Robin. All of the staff were extremely friendly and tentative but Chef Robin used all of his spare time attending to and entertaining the customers. Will definitely be returning, even if Im not staying at the Pullman.

Ok it is a hotel dining room, but food was fresh, tasty and hot with a great steak from grill. Saturday night fireworks in Darling Harbour to entertain. Staff all very friendly, attentive and professional...:)

We literally just walked back up to our room in the Novotel from dinner, I have informed the bar staff of the following they asked if I wanted to see the manager but I said Whats the point? Basically to me they had the opportunity to provide edible meals for all of us but failed... What can they do after the fact... POSITIVES: The strawberry spice cocktail was nice, expect to pay $19 for it, at least half of the glass was just ice. Pepperoni pizza was good, according to my husband, it did look nice, moist fully covered with pepperoni and looked freshly made and cooked. He enjoyed all of it and shared some with my son because he couldnt chee his kids Pam and cheese pizza, I say ham and cheese very loosely..... NEGATIVES: Waited at least 45 minutes for our food. Kids Meals: kids ham and cheese pizza (requested no pineapple) was so dry the kids could barely chew them. They said it was too tough to chew. The portions are very small with next to no ham or cheese on them. Looking at the uneaten parts it was hollow inside looked like a reheated pita bread, it lacked any flavour and they are still hungry. I had the smoked salmon salad I would argue it was not a salad just half a cos lettuce and a few small pieces of avocado with a slightly tangy creamy dressing. Wayyyy wayyy too much smoked salmon to the point it was sickening to keep eating I didnt finish it. I also found a sharp fish bone and fish rubbery cartilage in my salad. They also burnt the toast, the toast was as dry as a Dubai desert... Disappointed that we waited so long and served with this poor quality food, no value for money in my view for such a popular establishment, would have been better off going to McDonalds. We are staying the night in the city at the Novotel Darling Harbour, we couldnt get a table at the restaurant at 6.15pm so we had to order from the bar... Im guessing they dont care about their bar food customers as much as the restaurant customers so make them wait longer and reduce the care for the food output for pretty much the same as youd pay for the restaurant food. We spent about $200 tonight on food and drinks for the 4 of us. I wish I had walked away feeling like we had a great night out which we rarely do... Instead I was bitterly disappointed.

First time we went to the ternary, the food, atmosphere and the service was good which make us choose this restaurant again for our last meal in Sydney. But this 2nd time, we received the rudest service we ever got from any restaurant. I got treated so badly from my Asian waitress throughout the meal. The worst of all was I got my card thrown back at the table when asking for the bill. Such behavior is completely unacceptable, unprofessional and also incredibly disrespectful. This rude service ruin our last memorable meal in Sydney. I cant believe for the meal that cost almost $200 I will receive so disrespectful service just like this. I cannot recommend this restaurant to others, and I am sure will not return again.

My husband and I dined at The Ternary last night. Food: For entrees we chose the salt + pepper calamari with soya + chilli and the grilled king prawns with chimichurri. We requested the calamari to be made gluten free, and it was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a delightful sweet and saltiness from the dipping sauce. The serving was quite generous. The prawns were impressive, grilled with an aromatic char and complemented by the chimichurri sauce and sweet corn. I chose the 2022 Alkoomi Grazing Collection Riesling from Frankland River, WA to start my evening and it was a refreshing wine to also complement the entrees. They offer an Asian kitchen menu and grill kitchen menu, but we both decided to go with their grill menu. For mains my husband chose the 300g scotch fillet, 150-day grain-fed black angus served with potatoes, spinach, and choice of sauce. Cooked to a flawless medium-rare, my husband enjoyed his steak with his choice of the rich mushroom sauce. I had the 500g balmain bugs, served with garlic, parsley, and lemon butter, accompanied by potatoes and spinach. The balmain bugs were succulent and the sweet flesh complemented the dipping sauce. We also had the chips + truffle aioli. I requested this to be made gluten free. The truffle aioli was divine! I requested from our personal server to surprise me with a matching wine for my bugs. I was recommended the 2022 Shaw + Smith Sauvignon Blanc from Adelaide Hills, SA. This was a delightfully crisp and fresh wine that complemented my main dish. At this point, we were quite full! We decided to share the apple creme brulee with cinnamon icecream for dessert. I requested this to be made gluten free. This light dessert was the perfect conclusion to our meal. The luscious creme brulee was infused with apple flavours and the aromatic cinnamon ice cream elevated this dish. I couldnt resist trying one of their curated classic cocktails to match my dessert, the hot buttered rum. This warm cocktail was a blend of Captain Morgan spiced rum, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and all spice. This transported me straight to Europe during winter and the flavour was reminiscent of mulled wine. It was a warm and comforting drink to end the night. Service: Our amazing server was Ella. Her service was attentive, friendly, and professional. She checked up on us throughout the evening, but she was never intrusive. Ella kindly offered to take a photo of us which was very thoughtful. The bar staff, wait staff, and chefs were friendly and didnt mind me taking a few pictures and videos of the two open kitchens and bar area. Atmosphere: We arrived at 6pm and were initially a bit confused with the restaurant layout as the waiting area for dining was located past the bar with casual seating. We enjoyed the social and relaxed vibe of the restaurant and appreciated the trendy EDM playing during our entrees and mains, as this was during happy hour. Around 7pm the music changed to soft lounge music. We had a window seat and enjoyed been able to see the lights of Cockle Bay wharf and the dazzling views of the city skyline. The high ceilings, mood lighting, and open kitchens created an ambience of casual elegance. Overall, The Ternary was a memorable dining experience. We dined with the Accor Plus discount, however the quality and quantity of the dishes were well worth the original price. Combined with attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere, The Ternary is undoubtedly a great place to dine in Darling Harbour. The venue is stunning and the interior design is great. Staff were accommodating. Food were delicious. The restaurant also has an amazing view of the darling harbour and you can watch the fireworks on a saturday evening from your seat. It was a perfect dinner. And they have many options for drinks and cocktails too. We will surely come back to try their other meals and cocktails.

I dare say this is the best restaurant. It was my first dinner in Sydney, and it was the perfect dinner! They kindly recommended menus in Korean, and all the staff made you feel a welcome! atmosphere from the time you entered to the time you left. For my meal, I ordered garlic + cheese naan, pasta, and steak. The naan was bigger and more delicious than I expected and the portion was so large that I was full after eating it all. The steak was truly the best Ive ever had! The red wine sauce was delicious and went well with the dry red wine. It wasnt hard at all, and the vegetables went well together. The pasta was very delicious, but we didnt eat much because we ate only a small portion, but the shrimp was especially delicious and seasoned just right! If I have more time, I would like to visit one more time during my stay in Sydney. Thanks to The ternary, I will remember my time in Sydney so happily. Thank you!

The food was good, the service was friendly, but its a noisy hotel foyer, so it didnt really feel like fine dining. It took a while to get the wait staff attention, and they werent very well informed about the menu ingredients or the wine list. Id eat there again, as was quite pleasant, but its not great for a romantic dinner, or quiet conversation.

Had dinner here with friends on a Saturday night. Best access is the light rail. Would not recommend driving as hard to get parking or expensive. The food is delicious and appropriately priced. We had some naan bread for starters. I ordered the steak for main and it was perfectly cooked to my liking. The dessert were nice and refreshing. The cocktails are well presented and taste good. An advantage of dining here is a prime view of Saturday fireworks. Also Accor members get discounts for dining here so thats also a plus. The service was prompt and efficient. The waitstaff are approachable and helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant with high ceilings, big windows and well spaced seating. I will be happy to dine here again in the future. I tell you what for nothing if youre going to eat here book for 6 , arrive at 4 and attend happy hour(s) until 6pm . They have beer, wine , spirits at a very reasonable price. Now, aside from the alcohol there are seats on the balcony that overlook the harbour and the dining area has the same view, and it is GORGEOUS especially at night! The service at the ternary was terrific with wait staff showing us to our table and introducing herself. For the life of me I cannot remember what it was. Sorry Entree we had chicken skewers and Cheesy garlic naan . Sooo good ! Mains we shared the butter chicken and Balmain bugs (which was a first for each if us ) The butter chicken was delicious and well the balmain bug tastes like sea food. I dont know what its supposed to taste like crab? cross with a lobster? Similar but not as good . Anyway it was all very nice , fast and very well presented. Didnt get desert because I probably would have burst I was so full... Again Waitress was attentive and friendly she even let us take the leftovers!! All in all a great place to dine in Sydney. Booked the dinner at 6pm and arrived early, had few drinks at the bar. We were rushing to see a show and told the waitress about it, all the food came to the table quickly and service was great

Started off quite nicely. Time between entre and main was over half an hour yet every other table seemed to have their food. For mains we ordered the butter chicken, Penang curry, the Korean short rib and the tandoori cutlets with rice and naan. The mains arrived with no serving spoons. We asked the waiter for spoons. She said she will check. She came back to tell us they have no spoons left. They have not been washed. I asked her what I am supposed to use. She said she can bring us tea spoons. I told her that you can t lift curry and a huge piece of rib with teaspoons. She could see we were getting frustrated. She said she ll check with the manager. With in 30 seconds she brought 10 table spoons! Wow! This is probably the most ridiculous service I ve ever received in a restaurant. I thought Novotel had better standards than this. This ruined all of our moods and killed the atmosphere. The naan was doughy, butter chicken was overly salted and spiced, rib was ok but it s meant to be a short rib, Penang was tasty. This was also my second time eating here. Last time they brought the naan after the mains were finished and served us cold cutlets. I really hoped that was a one-off case. I m disappointed with this restaurant and would never recommend this place to anyone. Terrible service.

Nice view, but the server confused table, they asked the wrong table to serve my drink. They served food not in order. The other table got food faster than me even though they came after me and that table and my table had similar order (drink, pasta and steak). I ordered a sirloin medium well done, it was okay inside, but outside of the meat, it was burned as much as I could taste. The mushroom sauce and pasta was bland. I asked to get a bill to the server, and she said, Yes, i will, but she never came back to my table. I know they were busy, but I could enjoy my dinner. I am glad I have Accor membership bc I could get a discount.

The customer service at the Ternary is exceptional. The staff were really well trained to accommodate the busyness of the evening. The food is arranged to suit a wider appreciation of diverse palates.

Excellent food and service. Yes, the price is slightly higher depending on what you order, but the food is great. Only down side is that I wish they had more vegetarian options for mains. Vegetarian options: They offer the Dal (not a fan of Dal) and one pasta option for mains. There are a couple of vegetarian entries also available. Parking: Use Wilson Parking Harbourside for closest parking. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a lift to get to the restaurant.

Racism + basic response is not good. A restaurant that made me feel racially discriminated against for the first time in my life. I had a reservation and heard that it was a casual restaurant, but I heard that the view was good, so I visited. Still, it was a hotel restaurant, so I dressed up and went there, but I was a bit disappointed to see so many people wearing caps and shorts. Made a reservation for 8 oclock and arrived on time. Wait for response at the entrance waiting area before taking your seat. There were two staff members busy with the checkout, so we waited until the checkout was completed and waited for them to respond, but neither of them looked at us who were waiting and instead responded to the additional person who was waiting. I felt like I was a life-sized person ^^ Still, I thought it wouldnt be racial discrimination, so I waited and was shown my seat. Even though I made a late reservation at 8pm and the window seat was empty, I was refused the seat, saying it was another reserved seat. There wasnt even a reserved sign on the table. I dont know what time the reservation was made, but in the end, the place was vacant until we finished eating and left. (This is my first time seeing a hotel restaurant that doesnt even put a reserved sign on the reserved seats. +1 disappointing point) After ordering and no food coming out, there was an additional window seat available so I went to the counter and asked if I could change my seat if I didnt have a reservation. They said it was a reserved seat and could not be moved. After about 5 minutes, people dressed like that who were sitting in other seats moved to that seat. From then on? +) I think most people will visit Accor to get 50% off. It was a very late dinner and the portion size was small, so I ordered 2 starters including oysters and 1 main steak. Here, they say that if two people come, you have to order two mains to get 50% off, so you have to order one more main. I thought there was nothing I could do about this if it was the restaurants policy, but the day before, I ordered two starters including oysters and a steak main at another Accor Hotel restaurant and received a discount without any problem. Why only here? Since it was a 50% discount, even 2 main dishes were very cheap, but I still wondered what the fuss was all about. Whats annoying is that the food tastes pretty good. Then Im wondering whats going on, but Im not in a good mood. Moreover, only our table did not ask how the meat was grilled or what the food tasted like. This is the first restaurant where I go to eat steak and dont check. Since the other reviews were so good, I was wondering if I had bad luck in the lottery. I have been to restaurants in many countries throughout my life, and this is the first time I have received such a response, so please think about this as this place left me shocked. I will never go again and I am going to advertise to the world that people around me should never go there

Five stars service and food! The portion is huge and it has an interesting main menu with lots of Asian fusion dishes. We went on my dads bday and they gave us free mocktail and cake dessert. Highly recommended Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is great and the casual atmosphere make parents feel more comfortable as mines ain t quiet

The food and service was very good... for adults. My daughter cannot handle any kind of spice, I asked for a bread on the starter menu with only butter and it still came out with spices. The kitchen refused to send it out plain which I found a bit odd, but the dinner was great and they handled substitutions of sides very well.

The most amazing night sitting at the grill bar watching the amazing Chef Robbie do his thing. So looked after, the food and service was impeccable.

I went at 7:30 on Friday to enjoy the Darling Harbor fireworks while eating, but because it was summer time, the fireworks started at 9:00. The meal came out and the steak was delicious, the garlic cheese naan and calamari were all very delicious. There was a Korean server, so it was nice to get recommendations on what to order. They asked me if it was my honeymoon and when I said yes, they also gave me a dessert. It was the best restaurant Ive been to in Sydney :)
