I am so glad we found this gem. The rooms were super clean and cozy. The bed and bathtub were luxurious. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts were kind and very helpful with excellent recommendations and maps of the area. I recommend booking this place with confidence! You will not be disappointed! It's a little corner of paradise. It's quiet, romantic, and a much better value than the nearby Doubletree. There is no comparison!
The owners of the place are great people! They are super friendly and helpful. They even helped us to find events and places to visit while we are in Quebec City. My wife and I felt like home during our stay. The room was perfect from toiletries to comfort of the bed. I have nothing to complain about the room. The lake is so beautiful and joyful to relax next to it. The neighborhood is also so quiet. We have never heard any noises. We are so thankful to the owners!
Beautiful log cabin building. Our room was a good size as well as the bathroom. The hosts were great and accommodating. The grounds were very nice. There is a path to the lake that is hard to find. You can look at the lake but there really isn’t access. Quiet residential area. A good brewery nearby. Breakfast was wonderful. It was hot and humid for our stay. A fan was provided in the room, but it was damp.
This is a great place to stay outside Quebec City, beautiful location and very peaceful. The hosts and their family make you welcome and serve excellent breakfasts in the large living area with its huge ceiling. The room was clean and modern, with its own exit to the outside which is very handy (and very close to the car). We went when it had snowed heavily and it had an additional charm. It is not too far to drive to Quebec City and parking was easier than I expected. It is well located to drive out into the country north and west of the city.
We stayed at Le Domaine du Saint Charles for 3 days, over New Years. We loved everything about it. Sophie's breakfasts were spectacular. "Sweet or salty" she calls them. We loved both! When our New Years plans fell through due to the chef falling ill, Sophie came to our rescue. By the time we arrived, she had multiple reservations made for us for New Years Eve and New Years Day. The restaurants she chose were all wonderful, especially Le Saint Amour in Old Quebec City! I was especially enamored with the tub in our bathroom. I had never seen anything like it- great for bubble baths! I will try to post a picture. We highly recommend this B&B!!
First got to our location and was warmly welcomed by Sophie a very awesome lady the owner. Sophie took my fiancé and I to our room then showed us a map on the wall which is very detailed on the hotspots where to go and gives you so much local knowledge. The rooms are lovely a cosy and the breakfasts Sophie provides for only 10 dollars each are fabulous. This is an ideal place to stay if you want to get away from the city and have a relaxed holiday. Things you will need is a car (Cheap to rent) No wifi (Talk to your partner) Sophie has all the details and booklets you need just ask. AMAZING. Things to do in the local area include; Quebec City, winter activities including dog sleighing, snowmobiling, snow park with slides (it is a water park in summer) the national park jacques cartier where you can observe the beautiful scenery and may even see some wildlife. Great experience - very very cold in winter so bring a lot of warm clothes! HIGH FIVE! :-)
Stunning location, really peaceful but not in the middle of nowwhere. The house is in a small residential area bordering the Lac St. Charles and looks like a luxury though modern log cabin. Our room was tastefully decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There's no dragging up suitcases on stairways as the guestrooms are on the ground floor. Our host was very informative, pleasant and served a super-lovely-heathy-hearty breakfast in our room! No staring at other guests but total privacy. I love that! Mind you, there is no WiFi in the room, however, you can go to restaurants, bars etc. and update your Facebook/Twitter/Email or whatever. It didn't really bother us, as we only spent one night in this lovely B&B.
The house is beautiful!!!! we only stayed for one night, but it was so nice to stay there! It is an amazing place to stay, it is clean and the rooms are big! and sophie is a perfect host! She helped us a lot to find a hotel for the next day and gave us good tips for our journey!
A very beautiful chalet with independent access to 3 bedrooms. There is also a very beautiful landscaped area with a table and chairs to relax facing a small pond. The place is very clean, nicely decorated. The owner Laurent is very friendly. I recommend this place!
We have just had an excellent stay in this magnificent place. We were received like kings, with a hearty and delicious breakfast on the terrace with a view of the sumptuous garden. Room with bathroom spacious, pretty and very clean. Really very friendly and attentive hosts. Excellent quality ratio, thank you. Excellent location for visiting either Quebec or the superb Jacques Cartier Park, the cottage being halfway between the 2 so perfect. Natural and very calm environment. We will return with pleasure
The enthusiasm of one of the owners of this chalet-style cottage (European Swiss) and the fact that this cottage is located outside the hubbub of downtown Quebec are in themselves these 5 stars ! And the terrace/gardens /lake(stream)/wooded area where you can also observe and hear frogs , ducks, birds and deer is sublime and very calm! You cant swim in this lake (stream) but I still put my feet in the water! The room may not be my style but everyone in my family slept well and having a private entrance was nice! A clock radio (dial) would have been practical! And we never found out how the TV really worked except for the very few channels we were able to find? It s true that when traveling it matters more or less! The bathroom was simple but we had more towels than some other places and a bath mat so we didnt slip in the bath was useful! There was just the convectair which was working very poorly! As for the breakfasts which are served either on the balcony terrace or in the room, they are very good perhaps not always suitable for a more traditional clientele! Morning no.1: Two eggs turned with ham and cottage cheese on English muffins with salad and tomatoes with a small bowl of watermelon ! Morning no.2: A croissant and a homemade pancake with homemade jam and maple syrup as well as a bowl of apples and yogurt! Morning no.3: A golden bread-style multigrain bread sandwich with fromage blanc and ham with salad and tomatoes with a small bowl of bananas ! Orange juice and coffee or tea were included! According to me and my family, this is a bed & breakfast that is very good and very relaxing in the Quebec City region! Nearby activities: The Spa Sibéria du Lac Beauport is located not too far from this bed & breakfast! Neither does downtown Quebec and Old Quebec! Not even Jacques-Cartier Park and Stoneham! There is also Les Marais du Nord!

Very Nice place to stay
Superb little place, warm and personalized welcome. The rooms are super quiet, you dont hear anything at all! Close to the slopes, rest, spa! I recommend with my eyes closed and I will return without problem! The room is cozy, clean and has everything you need!

One word sums up our stay: fantastic! Your hosts Joy & Laurent are super welcoming and will make you feel safe and welcome. Their lunches are original and tasty and worth the extra. The rooms are extremely clean, well furnished, the beds comfortable, well insulated from outside noise although it is a very quiet area. The exterior layout is very successful, a small pond where you can relax and a place where you can have a campfire in complete safety. I rented all the rooms for a weekend and the guests who came from the rest of Canada and the United States were amazed by the Domaine and are greatly considering returning there personally in the future when they come to visit the region of the City of Quebec. The Domaine du Lac Saint Charles is now among my list of Top 10 places to stay and highly recommends it if you are in the Quebec region.

By far, the Domaine du Lac Saint-Charles is our best accommodation of our trip to Quebec! The location and setting are ideal, especially with a very charming garden (even in autumn and in the rain ). The accommodation is spacious and has everything you need. The lunches are plentiful and good, a great way to start the day! And finally, the owners are very welcoming and warm, with a good communicative mood which is a pleasure! Thank you very much, and good luck to you!

We were superbly received in this guest room, the room was very pleasant, the breakfast, homemade, of very high quality and Joys kindness and good advice allowed us to have an excellent stay in Quebec. We keep the address carefully, because our daughter is a student in Montreal, it is very likely that we return from time to time to Quebec.

Superb two-night stay that we recommend. The room is well maintained and the bed is comfortable. In the room, we have at our disposal a mini refrigerator, a small desk with two chairs, internet (works well), a storage unit and a television on which we can watch Netflix. The estate has a private lake where we can dip our feet in the water. There is also a fire pit around the lake with log chairs, plastic chairs, a picnic table and a hammock! Everything we need to relax and recharge our batteries. If you are lucky enough, you can see deer! As for their breakfast, their Montecristo sandwiches, a cross between French toast and a croque-monsieur, are excellent. The owners are welcoming and friendly and have two wonderful dogs. In short, it s an unmissable stay!

Following bad news, no action was taken even though my cancellation was requested more than 48 hours in advance! What a shame! I wouldnt have the chance to visit this place that made me want it so much, but of course I would never recommend it.

Splendid chalet decorated with a pretty garden with a very pleasant private lake, ideally located for getting to the Parc de la Jacques Cartier. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed and nicely decorated, with independent access. The welcome from Joy and Laurent was extremely warm, and their advice was sound on activities and restaurants in the area. The breakfasts are gourmet, varied and delicious and can be taken on the terrace if the weather permits. Go there with your eyes closed you will be amazed!
We have just returned from this magnificent place and already want to go back! The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is plentiful, well executed and you quickly fall under the spell of the hosts who are warm, inviting and dynamic! The area is located near the Jacques-Cartier national park, the Stoneham ski centers and the relay as well as 20 minutes from the heart of Quebec City. A favorite in the old capital region!
Warm and dynamic welcome for this B&B ideally located near the center of Quebec but in a preserved natural setting. The homemade breakfast is delicious and worth the extra price. The rooms are located on the ground floor, while the guests occupy the first floor including the large living room with bay windows and fireplace... A caveat on this subject since we thought that this living room was part of the common areas and that we could relax near the fireplace...which was not possible since the 2 spaces (clients and guests) are in fact partitioned and are located on different floors. Taking this factor into account the price of the room is probably a little high.
