Poor service, average food at best. Served a raw pastry turnover only to wait for a second pastry which was also raw, but less raw. Second one is pictured here. Service was slow, orders forgotten and needed to order twice. Workers busy chatting with friends and eating in the back. Would run food to the dining room without washing their hands. Come here is you are looking for dive bar service.

Excellent food, sensible choice of alcohol, great welcome, atmosphere and service, at a more than reasonable price for the quality... very easily one of the best experiences offered around Saint-Valier West. Dont hesitate, its definitely worth the detour!

Good food overall. Magnificent veal sweetbread gnocchi! Good blood sausage, nothing more. Perfect carpaccio, beautiful salad. Super attentive service, beautiful menu. Only thing to improve: the extremely disappointing baguette bread, not at all restaurant level.

Wow wow wow! This place is WORTH IT! They deserve a Michelin star. The food and the staff are fantastic, their only downside is the neighbourhood and their lack of publicity. Dont be fooled by the location or the decor which is minimalist, everything is in the plate, with carefully chosen ingredients, tasteful sauce and sides, assembled in a masterful way. Creative and delicious food. We ordered three small dishes and a meal and enjoyed all of them. The flavors are unique and complex. The wines by the glass were very good. A gem of a place!

We ordered about 8 dishes from the menu. There wasn t a missed bite in any of the dishes. Classy and inventive at the same time. Not pretentious but really fine sense of taste. Sauces were balanced, cod and even asparagus was perfectly cook. Best dining experience on this trip hands down. We went a little early and the service was excellent. I heard only two cooks and two servers in the whole place. Good job guys!

DELICIOUS !! I knew about the establishment by reputation but had never been there before. I was absolutely not disappointed! Very nice place, relaxing terrace, despite the garden chair style plastic chairs. The welcome was warm, simple but immediately put at ease. A glass of bubbles was offered thanks to a Facebook post, what could not be a better start to dinner? As a starter: trout gravlax with fennel salad. Simple and effective. The flavors are there, the gravlax is very good, salty just right, a few pieces of fried kale add crunch in the mouth, the little aniseed taste of the fennel balances very well and you can find pieces of cranberries hidden on the plate like little secrets that perfume our bite with a little sugar. Main course: Sweetbreads on mushroom gnocchi and veal stock in sauce. 5/5, 10/10, 20/20. FINALLY mastered cooking of sweetbreads! And look at these pieces (see photo)! 3 beautiful big sweetbreads, we are spoiled!! The sweetbreads are cooked to perfection: a beautiful crispy and golden layer approaches our teeth and releases creamy and delicious flesh. No nerves, no excess fat, no overcooking, nothing to complain about. The gnocchi melt in the mouth tenderly in a tasty, full-bodied juice without masking the flavor of the sweetbreads and the various mushrooms add an exquisite final touch to the dish. The tastes are simple and good. This is mastered cooking. No fuss, blending or fancy textures. Only what is necessary. Nothing to add, nothing to take away. The dishes are generous, delicious, comforting. I have rarely sighed so much with pleasure between each bite :) I had a Spanish wine by the glass for $10, a little rosé to cool off the heaviness of the weather. He had a nice quiet time without disturbing my perfect dinner :) For dessert, a chocolate fondant with salt and flower caramel. Only small negative note: it was good. Only good compared to the quality of other dishes. The bill? 3 services + 1 drink (and one free) + tip = $92. Below $100 in 2023 for THIS quality?! I tell you: GO FOR IT!! My congratulations to the entire establishment! I would definitely come back!

Fantastic address in a place as improbable as it is pleasant to live in. Impeccable cuisine and service, both in terms of sympathy, with a natural touch of humor, as well as the quality of advice and the taste experience as a whole. Very good gouty restaurant which doesnt look like much from the outside but which once the plates arrive reveals all its assets. Very good value for money and very good flavors. The waitress is adorable and smiling. I strongly recommend

Seul bémol pour la bisque de hommard beaucoup trop sallée et le doré trop cuit..( et peut-être est-ce une moins bonne soirée car je naime pas généraliser une expérience acquise pour un repas sur lensemble dune année)

Hangover ! What happiness! Each ingredient at the heart of the dish is highlighted and pampered with the enveloping juices and accompanying vegetables. We were charmed by the gnocchi dancing with the sweetbreads, the perfectly cooked beef cheek next to a heavenly carrot puree, the blood sausage in its juice boosted with cider. There had already been starters that were simple, inviting and promising... it all ended with lovely, simple desserts, a bit daring and super well balanced. Thank you Mr. Charles for making room for us on this very busy evening. See you again soon!

Best beef carpaccio I have ever had. Lovely little laid back spot with excellent food and excellent service. Limited menu - most of it some of the most exquisite portrayals of the dishes attempted. Plates are small - and multiple entrees are needed to fill you up, but this basically just forces you to try more of their delicious food. Food is way classier than the physical building would suggest.

Absolutely delicious meal! We had the boudin the carpaccio and the riz de veau. All meals were prepared meticulously and the presentation was admirable. The wine selection complemented the meals effortlessly! The staff were nice and courteous. The outside tables were a little wobbly. I believe the restaurant could work in their customer experience. Great night out it is worth it!

We stopped here our first night in Quebec. Glad we did and this was our first experience. The staff here was so wonderful with helping us order. We got a meat sampler plate because we weren t sure what we would like. Omg! Delicious. Portions are much smaller than us piggies in the US. But it was filling. Their lava cake...to die for. Most places in Quebec are....you ask for the check and pay at counter.

Travelled all the way from Australia and this restaurant did not disappoint. It was the best restaurant we had in Quebec City. Hearty food with a touch of fancy plating. Price is reasonable and definitely worth it!

EAT HERE. ASAP! We found this wonderful place while wandering around and could not believe our good fortune. For an appetizer,I had a cold lobster soup wit julienned cucumbers in a wonderful broth. For entrees, I had a bison skirt steak while my wife had tuna tataki accompanied by duck ravioli. Both were superb. Our desserts, a lava cake and a sorbet/cake sandwich, were equally fabulous.

We enjoyed our evening in this establishment. The service was really good, pleasant and smiling staff. The food was really delicious, perfectly cooked and succulent accompaniment. On the other hand, the quantities of food are really too small. I was really hungry when I left despite having starter, main course and dessert. In addition we waited almost 40 minutes between starter and main course and another 40 minutes between main course and dessert. Its a bit long.

Snooty and not worth the trouble, the 2 servers act more like bouncers, bad attitude. Thr place is tinu, the menu is tiny but has exotic meats, rabbit etc. There is no view, its facing a parking lot. I was there last year, and I can still say that it was the best sweetbreads I have eaten! Fine cuisine, elaborate dishes, with well-balanced flavors with local products, in a beautiful, relaxed decor. I no longer live in Quebec, but I will go back there just to eat there.
