95 Rue Saint-Paul, Québec, QC G1K 3V8, Canada
Long-time diner with big plates of classic Canadian eats, including breakfast from morning to night.
We arrived during the lunch rush and had to stand outside in line. Even though the weather was chilly and our toes were numb, the queue was long! The food was fantastic, particularly the smoked meat paired with eggs Benedict. The staff were friendly and greeted us with smiles as they served us. The prices were reasonable, making it quite budget-friendly. I can’t wait to return!
Very busy but quickly found seating. Service is quick and straightforward. L’assiette canadienne was nothing special but not bad.
I understand Quebecois are rude when it comes to people not speaking French. But this is coming from a group of people that speaks Spanish, Chinese and Arabic. Bilingual. I’m sorry we can’t speak French. Service ladies and the chef were rude except the young lady. There was hair on the table. We ordered Québécois brunch, at the end of the meal the older lady asked if we want hamburger or spaghetti? Because she heard us speak English. Food was greasy and nothing special. I have no idea why people gave this place such a high rating. Ew
came here this morning for breakfast around 10am, waited in line for 5ish minutes for a table before having the best diner breakfast food of my life. everything was so good and it’s needless to say but i cleaned the plate! so so so delicious and the servers were very kind! always made sure to check on everyone despite the restaurant being very busy.
A good experience trying Quebec comfy food! Had a family dinner at L’Antiquaire and like it. Excellent friendly service, good portions and quality food. It’s an excellent price / quality ratio. Can’t give 5 star for the food simply because it wasn’t a gastronomical experience, it was just good and the stake was somewhat mediocre. Everything else is 5/5!
Stopped by for breakfast today around 11am. Overall, it was an excellent experience. There were 5 of us. We were able to be seated right away. Make sure you stand behind the sign while waiting. Food was 5 out of 5 Service was 4 out of 5 Atmosphere was 5 out of 5, We had breakfast. The omelets and crepes were excellent. The homemade bread and jam were very good as well. Service was a little slow, but it seems pretty standard outside of the United States. The server was very nice and accommodated us by speaking English. Definitely would go back for another meal.
This is great breakfast place to try some of the Quebec local food, they have some customised menu for the travellers too, we arrived here around 10 am, this place gets crowded very fast, we had to wait outside for 15 mins and got seated in the balcony, we loved the ambience and decor, food wise we tried some local food in menu like shepherds pie and one more Quebec style pie, we were not great fans for it, we also ordered some American breakfast fast and that came very good, the eggs Benedict is the must try at this place. The coffee and drinks were too good, would highly recommended this place and if you not big fan of trying new dishes, I recommend to stay with the usual’s.
A refreshing family and pocket book friendly restaurant in Old Quebec City open for breakfast and dinner. Diner with a Québécois twist. For example, good old fashioned breakfast plates with a slice of tortière (Quebec meat pie). Bottomless cups of coffee. Thick cut toast ! Generous portions. Very friendly staff (they also speak English). Nice patio in the good weather (not dog friendly in keeping with Quebec law). Great value for money especially compared to area restaurants which tend to touristy. Go early on weekends. Lineups start fairly early on.
We ordered the vegan burger, wanting to try this fairly famous brunch despite our diet. It was already a bit of a shame that we couldnt eat eggs benedict without meat, but even then, I dont hold it against it. The food wasnt amazing... But hey, the setting was nice and we got out for $25 for two, so were still pretty satisfied.
Great experience, it s very cozy. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is ok you see that sometimes they dont want to be there and answer your questions. Overall its a nice place the food is very good.
Best breakfast poutine Ive ever had.
I discovered this restaurant located in old Quebec during a brunch with a friend and I highly recommend the eggs benedict with spinach on homemade bread: a real treat! Special mention for the homemade strawberry jam, delicious and perfectly sweet. The service was fast and courteous, which made the experience even more pleasant. A great address for a successful brunch.
A love story with the people of Quebec. To discover once in your life. Parking: Just a stones throw away. On the terraces of the Old Port. 5 minute walk.
Ideal for brunch after a morning run. They dont take reservations and its usually full, so there will be a bit of a queue, however they go fast and the place and terrace are large. It is worth waiting to eat on the terrace, very pleasant. They have several options and the food is very good, copious portions. The team is friendly, correct prices. Highly recommended.
There is a bit of a wait at the door, but it still goes quickly. Good value for money and the portions are generous. I had the eggs benedict, I wasnt expecting that cheese sauce. It was a little too much for my taste, but still good. My partner had the brunch plate. He really liked the pie.
Best lunch in Quebec
The LAssiette Brunch consisting of sunny-side up eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, toast, baked beans, strawberry jam, potatoes, and a half piece of meat pie was alright. The potatoes could be crispier and a bit more salt and pepper. However, its not worth going again.
Beautiful place to try in Qc! All meals are tasty, generous plate. Quality-price good. The only narrow thing. To try!!!
Excellent Quebec cuisine, lunches and traditional meals are plentiful
Tourist trap .Waitress asked how we wanted our eggs garnished but didnt say it was extra . Like $15 extra for cheese 1 meat and vege the egg was already $17.00 She also talks to the employee like he was 3 years old. She definitely has a chip on her shoulder with no personality Terrible experience stay away ..over .. $40.00 for 1 breakfast with 2 eggs for bad coffee hollandaise made out of cheese whiz just no quality what so ever
Perfect taste
I love this place
I like this place because the service is friendly and they serve lunch until late in the afternoon. That said, there is often a line to come and have lunch there. I would say the food is not worth waiting in line to get in. The quality of the food is the same as what you would expect from an American dinner: fatty, salty, sweet. The coffee is okay. The hash browns are good. My French toast had a strange aftertaste that I couldnt identify, and was bathed in a maple syrup that tasted mostly like pole syrup. The lunch poutine of the friend who accompanied me was more reminiscent of a Dutch sauce soup than a poutine. I like the atmosphere, prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, service is quick, but the food doesnt make me want to go back.
We loved this restaurant - the great atmosphere, wonderful service, and delicious food. The prices were extremely affordable- one of the best deals in town, without sacrificing taste or service. Highly recommend
Very good restaurant for comfort Quebec food! The cipaille is really good! The prices are a little expensive but nothing excessive for the area.
Out of all Quebec City restaurants we have are during our 5 day stay. We frequented this one most. I cannot say enough about the delightfully friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, very well priced, and the food is super delicious and filling. Both for breakfast and dinner. I would highly recommend giving this place a try.
Very good homemade food, shepherds pie, leg stew, shears, pudding chômeur, pork stew, all-day lunch...as well as lots of other things... Lots on our plate!!
A fantastic find, an old-fashioned high-quality diner in the midst of endless tourist food.
Its a very good restaurant.
Its worth the wait in line out in the cold. It was the best meal in Old Quebec
Excellent value for money. Traditional Quebec food at its best including their pea soup and onion soup gratinée
Small, unpretentious neighborhood restaurant style. Nice atmosphere, good food, friendly staff, more than affordable price. Well done to all the staff.
This restaurant is crowded with locals and tourists from the morning. I went in for breakfast around 8 oclock, and it just happened to be an empty time, so after I sat down for a while, it was full and some people couldnt get in. The coffee is poured one after another, and the staff are very kind. I had poutine for breakfast, and it was too salty for me, but it felt like a local restaurant and I really enjoyed it.
Food was great however they told us to sit upstairs and then when we went upstairs, and sat, they tried to situs next to a couple that was already sitting down. It was weird. Service was not great.
Excellent food and service for a great price.
The food was delicious. Authentic, hearty Quebecois cuisine. But we did find a hair and an eyelash in the food, and even if we were not looking for compensation, an apology would have been nice. The food was delicious. Real Quebec food. Unfortunately we found a hair and an eyelash on my plate, and an apology would have been appreciated.
Good and beautiful atmosphere, the food is delicious and the price is good. Parking: On-street parking with parking meters
The atmosphere is adorable, brings you back in time. The waitress was so attentive and friendly to everyone. The homemade bread and jam is a must. Best Spinach Eggs Benedict I have had to date. Canadian Ham is another must have, but bacon is also good. Better than the Fairmount breakfast, reslly! I wish we had Le Buffet De LAntiquaire in New Jersey.
Very good place for a hearty lunch
The restaurant is very good, we waited about 15 minutes before getting a table. The plates arrived very quickly and everything was excellent. Very good value for money!
Delicious food, quick service, menu in French, English, Spanish, but nothing like the buffet is known, it is a normal restaurant.
Shameful, Almost Undrinkable. .
If the service was as good as the dishes I would have given it a rating above SINGAPLAND/10 shameful, almost undrinkable. Spongy
Very bad service and mediocre food but the atmosphere and vibe is nice
The crepe could have used more love. Too thick and not cooked enough. For the rest of the plate everything was OK. Very attentive staff. The only restaurant in this area that opens at 6:00 a.m., if you are an early riser parking is free until 9:00 a.m. Toilets in the basement and outdoor terrace. Parking: Free in 6 and 9 in the morning on the street.
Fill the real truth, whatever means la plus Belle Province! Clean space , warm crew, tasty food . Food
We were looking for a diner atmosphere that served Breakfast all day, this is definitely the place to be . When arriving you stand behind a sign and wait to be seated . You have the option to sit inside or out . We sat at the counter where all the action happens . The waitstaff was cheery, continually checking on us. We had the eggs Benedict and the local breakfast bowl mix of eggs , true those potatoes, and cheese . We knew this was a local favorite because we were seated by two police officers having their breakfast. And the place was packed the waitstaff seemed to know quite a few of the patrons .
Very good place to eat! We enjoyed the daily special of quiche and eggs benedict! For dessert, sugar tart which was also successful!
The best poutine we ate in Canada. The staff is great. Go there with your eyes closed. We will come back with pleasure. Consistent portions.
Went twice. First for poutine and libations, second for breakfast. Both times we enjoyed this place. The breakfast items are very good, with good portions, and coffee included! Food
It s a cute little place; the breakfast was amazing; we went back for dinner another night. The spaghetti with meat sauce and mushrooms was awesome. The prices are so reasonable. They have wine at dinner. It is close to the port.
We visited the famous place that is Le Buffet de LAntiquaire. Ideal place for a terrace, however we were somewhat stuck. Fortunately, our table neighbors mostly spoke English. This allowed us to have some privacy. The portions are adequate, but I would have happily taken more of the small hash browns that we like in our good old Quebec. Decent dishes without more and a freshness of the products varying between passable and questionable. You will find an atmosphere and Diner-style meals set in a landscape of the old continent. If you are looking for affordable prices in a tourist area and you are not very particular about the culinary experience, Le Buffet de LAntiquaire is the place for you. Kisses xxx
Good atmosphere, fair prices and friendly service. Well come back!
I have been a customer of this restaurant for several years and I highly recommend it
Quebec fare which was simple, delicious and inexpensive
Quebec cuisine
Brunch plate for a lunch recommended by a local, great! Real fried potatoes
Great experience! Excellent service and food.
Alright
Super good, beautiful menu, everything is excellent, the staff is very welcoming and smiling, great experience, parking on the street quite easy, even if there is a line at the door, it moves quickly
Nice place with very good flavor, they almost always have a line to get in, which is a good sign
Good breakfast!
The poutine was so-so, however the cipallie was amazing!
A superb final meal in Quebec. Stopped here on recommendation from a tour guide and had the Quebec plate as I wanted to try authentic food. I was not disappointed, the portion size was perfect and the food well prepared and tasty. Prices were reasonable for the location, would heartily recommend.
Pleasant place and atmosphere. Excellent service, generous and tasty portions! The 45 minute wait was definitely worth it. Everyone was delighted!
This restaurant is extraordinary! Me and my family always eat very well there. Everything is delicious and the service extraordinary! The prices are affordable. A great reunion! On the other hand, it s so good that you often have to queue outside to get in, but the wait isn t long.
Another good breakfast place that we found in QC. As with many of the restaurants, its small - but friendly and quaint. My husband had the Ham and Cheese Omelette and I had the French Toast w/ Maple Syrup. Both dishes good - and would go back to try other ones.
This place clearly discriminates against Asians. A fat floor worker threw me water! He was completely unfriendly. The food is almost as expected, the stew tastes weak and the price is high. Im feeling good because there are quite a few customers coming. Poor customer service and a bad feeling I recommend something else. Its not worth waiting in line to eat.
Comfortable and inviting. Parmesan fried cheese was delicious
Perfect for eating Quebec specialties. Hearty dishes, attentive service I recommend.
If you go to Quebec, make the effort to get out of the historic center. To eat at the antique dealers buffet.
Very good restaurant, what a disappointment waiting outside for up to 25 minutes and more rain or shine. No shelter during the winter season. You have to be patient and want to enjoy breakfast. From a local person to know about this situation.
We only waited 5 minutes before being seated for lunch. Good beer, moderate prices and very generous portions! Between us we had 3 dishes (including a soup) and we struggled to finish them! Advised
Great place, good value for money. Very courteous service.
Not the cleanest place but its okay. A little pricy just for breakfast.
Obviously a locals place. Food was ok. Pretty much average. Went for dinner. Staff was friendly. I think they are better know for their breakfast which is served all day
We loved this traditional restaurant with the ambiance and delicious food We will come back and I recommend it
The pudding chomeur was excellent, must absolutely try
The workers are very rude. I don t give a start to Service because they are very bad.
Cute Quebec diner:)
The waiter was polite Jam was good The eggs were cold 1 slice of bread The baked beans tasted like canned beans The cashier had an arrogant attitude because we dared to question the bill
I waited in line for an hour to get in, but it was worth it. It is a very good restaurant, with copious portions and affordable prices, by the standards of old Quebec.
Good meal, we ate well and it was plentiful! Very enthusiastic waiter, we had a good time
Fast and friendly service, very good food
Real best choice for food.!!! Large portions with very delicious flavors and traditional recipes with very good service and above all value for money!!!!
Typical American breakfast/brunch restaurant, quite delicious and well priced. Very bad, the waitress who charged us forced us to leave a tip by canceling the charge on the dataphone when I said I didnt want to leave a tip. For that reason we did not return, tipping is voluntary.
We eat like kings at more than reasonable prices. The club had so much chicken that we had difficulty getting it into our mouths. Excellent Italian poutine with lots of fresh cheese.
Amazing service and great food. Thank you very much.
Best Fish nChips of my entire life! Service a little messy but I appreciated it nonetheless thanks to their bon vivant side.
Perfect dishes for me. Try the spaghetti here. So good. The name of the restaurant was Buffet, so I thought it was a buffet, but it wasnt. However, many reviews and high ratings indicate the taste of the food.
Superb discovery for our first evening in Quebec Simple restaurant and efficient cuisine. very warm welcome, we recommend
The meal was very good and the price reasonable. On the other hand, we were accompanied by family who did not eat pork. We were refused any replacement, so we had to pay the same price with less meat. We found it borderline and not commercial at all on the part of the management. The waitresses were very friendly and couldnt do anything about it.
Great breakfasts in a nice atmosphere.
Very large portions with the option of adding soup (the asparagus one is highly recommended, INCREDIBLE) and coffee for a few dollars. Super friendly and fast, and the terrace area is beautiful. Good price for the quality and quantity, super satisfied. We also recommend the cipaille.
I had an amazing breakfast at Le Buffet de L antiquaire. Located by Old Quebec, it s definitely worth the wait! The price was alright, and the menu had a good variety of breakfast meals and items to choose from. Not to mention, their Café au lait and regular coffee were strong and hot. I ordered their Special Antiquarie (2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, baked beans) and La Cochonne (breakfast poutine with all breakfast meat, hash browns, peppers, onions, tomatoes). Both were super delicious especially the La Cochonne. The meat, eggs, vegetable, and hash brown went really together with the hollandaise and cheese curds. At the end of it all, it was hearty and full enough to last the entire morning and afternoon while exploring around Quebec City!
I dont understand how this place can have such a high rating. Everything is average. Average products, without seasoning, for a relatively high price and everything is extra which is strange for a brunch. The service is okay, nothing more. I do not recommend
As always the food is excellent, the staff courteous and pleasant, there was one of the employees there while I was on the terrace, (Yes, there is a large terrace loool) Trilingual. Speaking in the case Im talking about... Castellano
Small restaurant in friendly Old Quebec where good Quebec food is in the spotlight. Price a little touristy but all in all still affordable for the surrounding area. Its funny to see a tourist take Cipaille or even Chinese pâté lol
Always a good place but still very popular in high season...we will return again...and again
Recommended by the Tourist Office, this dinner-style restaurant will help you discover true Canadian gastronomy. Dare to try local dishes cooked like at grandma s . The service is attentive and the place warm. A very good experience
Wonderful welcome, super good lunch, very warm atmosphere, a TOP team! I recommend this establishment really worth knowing
Good quick spot. Diner vibe. Can get busy. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread available Food : 5/5 |
Beautiful little restaurants good food beautiful welcome with waiters courteous and fast service
Nothing extraordinary, Ive known much better
Don t get French onion soup. It s burned and super salty. The chicken breast in sandwich was super dry. The service was quick and servers were friendly.
Hard to beat
Tasty and generous dish with homemade dishes. Service a little long.
Exceptional restaurant just outside the ultra-touristy area. Authentic Quebec cuisine, whether lunches or other dishes. Radiant and very courteous waitresses. It was delicious!!!
Okay first of all, I saw the waitress going back and forth between the ground floor and the sort of storage room at the back of the restaurant, passing by the hotplate, stopping along the way to grab a few slices. of bacon. ALL WITHOUT WASHING YOUR HANDS. Then the service was just really ordinary. The waitress had like dentures that were way too big, we couldnt understand half of what she was saying. I asked her for jam for my toast, she served me a small cup of jam which had probably been lying on the counter all morning. And the food was MUCH BETTER a few years ago. Plus the waitresses were super friendly, they knew their stuff and recognized us even if we werent that regular customers. In short, this place seems to be in free fall in terms of the quality of food and service.
Great ambience, good food portions too.
Somewhat of a wait to get in as this place appears to be busy in the morning time. Dont believe youre able to make a reservation. Paid parking in the area. Friendly service from the staff. The eggs benedict was really good and flavorful. The only negative is one of the chefs was using his bare hands to lift up meat/move things around from every single plate. Should at the very least be wearing gloves. Was a little gross to witness this as the kitchen is an open concept that all guests can see. Can only imagine whats done behind closed doors if this is the case.
If you are in Québec City, this place is a must-visit! It offers delicious food at very reasonable prices. Whether youre looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with a glass of wine, everything here is delightful. Moreover, if you want to experience traditional Québec cuisine, this is the perfect place to indulge its simply delicious. The service is excellent, and Nicolas will make you feel at home. Its widely regarded as one of the best dining spots in Québec.
A very nice diner. We had great service and great food.
Each dish is delicious, I recommend it.
Nice place for lunch, excellent meal.
Whenever I visit family in Quebec City I make it a point to have breakfast here. The staff is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend le buffet de lAntiquaire.
Very attentive, excellent food and very affordable prices. Recommended.
Its still good and reasonably priced. The restaurant that best represents Quebec food. And with its evolution too. Cool thank you.
We ordered the breakfast poutine, smoked meat poutine, and the meat pie. The meat pie was a bit dry but was great with the beans it came with on the side. The smoked meat poutine was very good, and the portion was great. We struggled to share it between two people. But my favorite was the breakfast poutine, I didn t expect it to taste as flavorful and fresh as it did. It was by far my favorite item that I had tried, and would highly recommend. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Would definitely come back here!
Definitely a place to discover :)
Attention ! This your life is all about the take-out. A few days ago, I went to get some poutine at the antique stores buffet restaurant. I was served by a rather unfriendly lady. The cost was quite high, $14 tip not included. I didnt leave a tip because the waitress was very rude, no smile and very cold. When she found out, she just ignored me. The person I was with asked her for extra utensils, and she literally threw them on the counter. As for the poutine, it was very disappointing. The sauce was extremely salty, the fries were really dry, and there was a lack of cheese. Im sure that the antique dealers buffet is an excellent restaurant, but I dont recommend the take-out poutine.
Great breakfast place to fuel up for the km of walking and exploring Quebec City. Great service, satisfying food at fair pricing, any time of the day. Loved going early AM, no line up:)
A good time here. Be careful of the small step on the terrace... It was my first poutine in Quebec, difficult to compare, in any case I found it very good, crispy fries, brown sauce ok. Very good pudding. The staff is very nice, two or three very nice little touches. I recommend
Very good time in this Canadian specialty restaurant. The poutine in many ways is very good and the prices are affordable.
A warm and personalized welcome, we are genuinely interested in you, this is becoming rare... Dishes to match, for a perfectly reasonable price.
A very popular brunch spot! We waited in line on Saturday morning and weren t disappointed! Everything we ordered was perfect! Service was exceptional! Kid-friendliness: Lots of kiddos!
This restaurant is dedicated to weight-watcher diet aficionados! The club sandwich is great! Good address
Simple and effective: this restaurant sums up this principle exactly . To discover Quebec cuisine, this place is really good, I recommend it. You will find everything from poutine to typical Quebec breakfasts and ending with typical desserts such as pudding chomeur.
The waitresses really have no respect for the customers.
I went to the New France Festival in 2008 and 2012. Each time I went to eat there. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is warm. the service was a little slow, probably because of the event itself (thousands of tourists) so I easily forgive
Had the most amazing breakfast. Everything was perfect including service. Price was right for serving sizes. Best meal the entire time in Quebec city. Will definitely recommend and return!! Kid-friendliness: When dining with a picky 3 year old. Parents will appreciate the patience the staff have. They are amazing!!
Ate outside on the street. Delicious food and great service
We ate there 2 evenings in a row. Very good, beautiful, well-cooked portions and friendly, smiling and efficient service.
Adorable Quebecoise restaurant with fabulous fresh pea soup, yummy and full of fresh lettuce and tomatoes smoked meat club, and exceptionally well provisioned Galvaude poutine. In house lemonade is a treat and maple syrup with crêpe covered bacon was genuine and plentiful.
everything is excellent but I particularly recommend the club sandwiches
Great restaurant not to be missed when visiting Quebec City. We ate a very well cooked brunch, the homemade drinks were excellent and the service was top notch!
Always good for lunch.
Lots of people but its worth it, the dishes are typical and the waiters are adorable
The meals are good, there are very delicious crepes and the waitress was very nice.
On vacation in Quebec, we were recommended this restaurant, and we eat very well there, very good, plentiful, coffee served several times and not counted in addition! I recommend! Be careful there may be a queue!
We found this restaurant for dinner during our day trip to Quebec City while searching for authentic local cuisine. We tried L Assiette Québécoise, le pâté chinois, and poutine. The food was absolutely delicious, and our friendly polyglot server made the experience even better. We will definitely return when we visit Quebec City again!
Great food and drink options for an early breakfast. Quick to fill tho so get in early.
Great staff - horrible breakfast.
The good value for money restaurant in Quebec! Super good and inexpensive, you have to try it!!
This place serves English breakfast style breakfast & brunch. Its so popular that even though there are quite a few seats, theres a waiting line even after 11 oclock. It costs about $13 to $20 per dish, and its really delicious and plentiful. Potatoes, eggs, sausages, ham, Canadian meat pie, none of them were lacking in flavor. They provide unlimited coffee refills, and the staff, although they seem frantic, are friendly. Onion soup was also quite delicious. Recommended if you are looking for a place to have brunch instead of hotel breakfast at a reasonable price at the bottom of the Old City hill!
Really bad service, long wait, and feel discrimination from the waiters, won t come back again
The food was okay. The waitress was rude, we waited 15min for her to take our order and they were not busy. She finally looked at us and said not me another waitress came and she was pleasant but at the end she said your going to tip right? Well yes of course I told her I left cash on the table. Seriously though?! You should never ask that. Really horrible experience.. we should have left during those 15min of waiting.
A very good restaurant, with typical Quebec dishes
Easily accessible and all that but not the greatest experience in the beautiful city of Quebec. One appreciates having found a spot to park the car in the vicinity and a table in the restaurant itself so in that sense A ok.
Came here because of the good reviews and affordable prices. However we received rude service from the hostess and servers. Waited a good amount of time for the food and it was disappointing, it was a little dry and bland. Unless you re on a budget, i d skip it..
Absolute recommendation!
Family-friendly place with good Canadian food; our favourite place to eat in Quebec City
Wonderful breakfast. Friendly servers, comfortable atmosphere. The food was plentiful, creative and absolutely delicious. Every plate returned to the kitchen was empty. I loved the little sample piece of French meat pie that was included with my breakfast.
I have been frequenting this place for years. A cult place in Quebec!!
Solid breakfast choice. Great eggs benedict and coffee. Its a touch on the crowded side but I suppose thats how they keep the wait times short. Went twice for breakfast when in Québec. Would definitely go again next time.
Super good lunch. But a pretty ORDINARY service.. The guy had no manners unfortunately, PUT A SMILE IN YOUR FACE SIBOEEERE! He didnt even look at us when we asked him for a little something. And this even towards the colleagues who spoke to him. In short, you managed to make our lunch ordinary, due to your poor service! B
They are not very welcoming towards non franch speakers. Food is fine but not worth it.
We tried this place for dinner because of the prices, we didn t expect much and wow were we wrong! This place is so delicious we went back for breakfast the day after and it was even better, Benedictine eggs will be forever in my heart, really loved it! The staff is very kind. Queuing for this place is so worth it, will definitely go back if I ever return to Quebec City. Vegetarian options: Great amount of vegetarian options
It was not as good as it once was. Was on my go-to places when in the area, but after my last visit, it might be the last. The quality of the food was not on par for many of us in our group. Dishes and utensils were dirty, and I struggled to find something properly cleaned. Whoever cleans clearly doesnt care, and the person placing the tables doesnt care either. The place was busy, as I remember, so service was fine considering that, but I guess they were riding on an old reputation, cause serving unclean dishes, mugs, glasses and utensils is a major problem and frankly offensive to paying customers. I would avoid until better reviews come up after this one. Only got 3 stars because of past experiences, but it really only takes one really bad experience to lose a customer (and probably customers from our group).
This is a gem! Far from the crowds. Delicious food and drinks.
Cooks were touching ALL THE FOOD with their hands constantly. Was disgusting. If you sit at the bar you see all the food being touched by all employees with their DIRTY HANDS. DISGUSTING Service was ok.
The place is very nice, the service is super good and the food is delicious. Great experience!
Very good
Good food, generous portions, and excellent service. We arrived during a busy time and it took some time to get drinks ordered and delivered, but after that, service was outstanding for the rest of the evening. Our server (I wish Id asked her name) was on point, eagle-eyed and entertaining. She noticed me inspecting a possible spot on my beer glass and proactively took it and replaced it with a fresh beer before Id even decided whether to say anything. We ordered comfort food - poutine galvaude, pâté chinois, and pouding chômeur. All three were delicious and very solid portions considering the price. Would go again!
The staff seemed unorganized and very unpolite. We had to wait a while before being seated. A waitress wanted to know what we wanted to drink, she left and then another waitress asked us again. When its time to pay, its another waitress: no response to our hello. She notices that we dont put any tips (first time I havent put any) and says to me you know that the service is not included in the price. Its crazy to make people feel guilty for not putting tips, if there werent any, it was because the service in question was absolutely not up to par.
4.5 good
A little long service, but the rest is perfect, the caramel is delicious
Breakfast all day, family friendly, great Poutine
Yum! We were looking for brunch and we were delighted. The dishes are good and plentiful and the prices are more than reasonable. An address to try urgently!
I really enjoyed this place. It was very pleasant, I had dinner on the terrace before going to FEQ and the service was wonderful! Thank you to the staff for the courtesy and speed. The shrimp roll was very good and the portion was generous.
Excellent service, everyone was very friendly. The food is very delicious and in great quantity. The best value for money in Quebec.
Superb place! Copious dishes, very reasonable prices, and above all excellent staff! They are smiling, friendly, professional. We chose this restaurant thanks to the good reviews we read, we confirm. Dont hesitate to go there!
I m disappointed for letting myself sit here. The food is greasy, tasteless and low quality, the solution of the waitress was add some ketchup . I could not eat it and paid in full. So many great restaurants in the area, do not waste your time, money and health in this one.
Very good food, impeccable service! General experience that immerses you in a nostalgia comparable to breast milk. I will go back there!
Fantastic atmosphere. It s really a beautiful little place to discover. It was very quiet around 8:00. On the terrace in the sun with a good Espresso It was super soothing. The service was really good. Very attentive waitress. The kitchen was good. They were generous with the portion of chicken in the Club Sandwich. But the chicken was dry. Could have been marinated to be more flavorful. The fries were 4/5 very good. Espresso good but nothing more. Thanks for the experience, I really liked the Vibe.
This restaurant was our favorite for breakfast on our trip to Quebec. The food is amazing, the people were friendly, and the atmosphere/ambiance sitting outside or by the open window was just what we were looking for. I could not give a higher recommendation for a place to grab a bite to eat.
My son asked his cook friend how come the fries have different colors, the answer probably that the cooking oil is too used Also, the Hollandaise sauce had a very dark color, I mentioned 2 times that the food is not adequate a gentleman on site told me our recipes have not changed for 50 years, maybe the oil fried food too, a joke, I was afraid of indigestion, my stomach was strong this time I hope the chef improves
